20 Best Medical Assistant Programs In Boston, MA (2022 Updated)

I took the CNA ‘Plus’ programme there back in October 2021. For $2395 we never got a clinical! And the facilities and equipment provided were unbelievable! One mannequin with its leg falling out and not even a proper night gown to keep it from being exposed! Sheets were dirty! Equipment faulty, and now we are STILL waiting to take our state licensure exams! If you’re taking the CNA programme, do not take the “plus part” it is a waste of money and time. State Street U is amazing. I attended 22 years ago and stopped by for the first time since then and I was amazed to find, updated buildings, a beautiful store, and a whole new feel. The professors and professionals were mostly great when I was there and though I don't attend, I had a chance to talk to administrators and they are still amazing. It is a fantastic education at a great price. If you are looking for a great community college, look no further than STCC. I do not recommend this school to anyone. There was a lot of grade school style homework and a broad spectrum of effort put in by my professors. Most of my homework was distributed digitally by the respective text book's website — NOT the professor. This created a huge disconnect when discussing homework issues in class. It was frustrating knowing my professors were not curating our homework, rather, it was being outsourced by a subsidized textbook. Their job is to educate, but remember they are there to make a profit. I could not afford my bill so they sold my debt to a collection agency.J s

My first college experience was here and it wasn't a particularly good one. The building is nice with a very comfortable atmosphere, though the parking lot is a nightmare. There is not WiFi through the entire building, which is infuriating for a student with an on campus class that is also entirely on the internet. Great school. but I think if we're paying $300.00 for a book and paying $8.00 on top of that for shipping a signature should be required from UPS and some type of insurance on it. I work here as staff and find the working environment pretty good. My bosses have been good, my coworkers are dependable, and the students seem well behaved and conscientious (most of the time). The new buildings are nice, and the harbor walk is kind of amazing, and the beach is very chill. Good luck finding a place as tranquil anywhere else near the city. There is however one small con and one big con.. the small con is that there aren't that many places to eat and Sodexo runs all the food on campus, and their attempts at ethnic foods are sad. And the aforementioned big con is that there is no less than 3 buildings being built on this tight peninsula right now, and one huge building that was taken down over the year I've been here.. the construction is a mess. Though the new, finished buildings, like the science complex, are great. But if you can take the T somehow, as I do, this place is fantastic.Mikhail M. Nitko

UMASS Boston has a Beautiful campus on the waterfront! It is building two Brand new buildings as student housing with a dinning hall on the first floor, overlooking the Boston harbor with a million dollar view. UMASS Boston has a collaborative research program with Dana Farber Cancer Institute that students can be a part of. I love the new Integrated science center, incubating many New exciting NIH sponsored science research studies. It is an exciting time for UMASS Boston which has a new chancellor with generous scholarship. Chancellor merit scholarship will allow students to get world class education for free.Khuong Nguyen

I am a student here at UMB, the professors are great. The administration is bureaucratic and inefficient and lacks transparency on any basic level. Parking here is dependent upon arrival time. If you get here at 10:20 good luck finding a space in bayside, probably will have to park at the globe. Clinical placement sites for Nursing are good, labs are good, the school is constantly under construction and areas are always being blocked off. Parking will soon cost between 9-15 dollars a day according to emails from the uni. So it’s alright but the university is slowly draining the life of its commuters.Bill Whitney

Went on a visit with my grandson with a preconceived perception of an intercity campus as I know them from intercity campuses in the NJ vicinity. I was pleasantly surprised by Wentworth with both the campus and it's facilities. Not some some armed containment area to keep students on campus, but rather free and open both in and around it. Note that Wentworth isn't some White enclave in the middle of crime, destuction, and filth, but rather a charming, not overwhelming campus, in a large city environment geared to provide a superior education to all who choose to attend. FYI, Boston has a population of some 250,000 college students so attention concerned parents, if little Madison or Josh can't get a date there's hope for them in Beantown!Fred Pucylowski

I was blown away by this school. I had low expectations being it is a very small school with a very high acceptance rate. I had never heard of the school and my daughter put it on her list as a "safety school." After attending the open house I hope it rises to one of her top choices. The campus is very quaint and comfortable. Felt very safe. It is surrounded by 5 other colleges. Very short walk to any class. It is an excellent school. I was accepted to Northeastern University, to the University of Massachusetts and many other good colleges. It boiled down to the school’s teaching setup. The school offered smaller class sizes and more one on one instruction. And then it was finalized by asking a few headhunters that if I had four identical resumes which school would stand out and it was Wentworth. Case closed.Jeremy Gold

Roxbury Community College is a top community college in Boston with accessible instructors who are devoted to their students learning and mastery of the subjects. It is more important to learn the foundations than be pressured and focusing on competition for grades at some notable colleges in the area. I am also interested in furthering my writing career for children and young adults by the Children's Literature course. And courses on Images of African Americans in the media. I am applying to an MFA program in creative writing at Spaulding University and need letters of recommendation. I hope to get a tv show on Nickelodeon. This will help. I might take Linux computer programming or Java II. I plan to enroll in Biology I Biology II at BHCC. There is an Energy class. If I have time I will take this on Saturday mornings. I also plan to take Organic Chemistry and apply to medical school using computerized anatomy coursework. I am considering taking Arabic language classes here. I am also going to read the book on legal document preparation. I do not have time to take everything, so I can read the book and keep improving being self taught is important. I start a dishwasher job at a major sports arena complex in the evening and will work weekends, so I have time!Kelly Moy

Absolutely not. I know rocks that can gain more intelligence in a lifetime compared to the amount of anything you'll gain here. They don't even offer flexible tutoring hours for students employed by the school. What? are you kidding? Say its a conflict of interest. A conflict of who's interest? Cause its truly conflicting the interest to learn when you cant make a buck and get help with academics at the same time. Highly unprofessional staff, hand to God I thought they were common transients you pass by in hallways and streets. Also the graduation rate there is half past depressing and that alone is a reflection of the interests the professors have in teaching a community anything college related. Also is a reflection of the effortless clowns that frequent the facility still nostalgic about their high school days. Do NOT waste your time especially if you have SENSE and SCENTS. I'm 100% positive that those who gave this 5 stars and commented that they graduated have all ended up in a career working with MBTA. Oh yeah, and I'm not from Boston. Please be aware of this college. Worst college in USA. Took money out from Income Tax return without even attending any class. Please be very aware before you visit this college or sign any papers.My wife went there to check about the courses they provide and see the college. She never went to that college again and never did any class. After couple of months we received a bill that we owe money. Called the college and the front desk said that you have to talk with the billing department. They told us that you have to come to the college and sign the paper. My wife told that her foot is broken and she have 4 kids so that is why she cannot come. She Also told them that she will send doctor and hospital note that she cannot drive.They hung up the phone on her. She sent so many email and calls but no reply. Spoke with billing department that I really need that money for my kids. They guy I spoke said that i can not return the money. Spoke with HR department and they said that we only handle our employees department. Asked them about the dean and they hang up the phone. They don't deserve any star.Amit Talwar

Went here during 2013-2014 for my associates in marketing, its an alright college. Tho my only bad points I remember from this is the intern job finder guy was really rude and I had other people who told me they had him too and he was rude to them as well. another bad point was one of the class counselors who made me take an unnecessary course and told me if i didn't take it i wouldn't get my degree only to find out that they lied and i didn't need to take that course (no refunds of course). Last bad point I remember was one of the job counselors who said they would help me find a job pretty much ghosted me after our first meeting. They gave such a wonderful speech about how I was going to get a lot of help finding a job and that i wouldn't be disappointed. well disappointment city here i came first class. total ghosted and never heard from after the second week of trying to talk to them. gave up trying to finding a job threw here. otherwise its an alright place but seriously have enough parking places that people taking classes here and no teacher saved parking spots for teachers who arent even there and we can see are sitting empty for most if not the entire day. Edit to respond to the owner: Sorry but I will not be using your "job finding services". After the first guy Matt Coulter if i remember his name right, was really rude and pretty much did absolutely NOTHING to help me when I had a problem with my internship. Then the job helper person I got to help me find a full time job litterly GHOSTED me, IE: never returning any phone calls, emails and was never there even tho I told they were there on the days they would be in, on 3 separate occasions I wasted my time trying to meet someone who just happened to "not" be there. This place was the worst college to go to. The counselors don't really help you. They just sign you up for any course they can just so they can quickly boot you out the door not caring to help you find classes for your major or even find a major at all. For the Danvers campus in particular, it's a very snobby, predominately white(and prejudice), unfriendly atmosphere. A lot of them also flow over to the Lynn campus so they bring their snobby attitudes there. The students are worse than the instructors though the instructors can be pretty stuck up themselves. That's just the type of community Danvers is. You will find most of the people who have the edge at this school AND of course speak highly of it are the predominantly white population. I took a Bio 101 class once, and the instructor said in front of the class that blacks usually don't do well because they come from a poor background and lack proper education. It really is not a good place to get your education. Also, a lot of classes they have wont transfer to another college such as their Bio 101 course. You may not know that, but be sure the classes you take are transferable. Be sure to follow up on Rate My Professors website to know if you have a good instructor or not otherwise it's a hit or miss on having a great successful academic year or not. The staff can be very unfriendly on the phone or in person when you go to any of their offices. When you attend this school, you better have direction on what you want to do because No one there is really going to help you unless you have a really good instructor. I transferred out to a better community college and it was one of the best choices I've ever made.Maximum Achievement

I have done four semesters at NSCC in the Criminal Justice program over the past two years. North Shore was a decent place for me to start my college education, as I feel like going to a full-fedged State University for four years is a massive scam and waste of money. Professor Koshivas and D'Agastino were great and I learned a great deal in their classes. The Danvers campus is very clean and modern and much nicer than the Lynn campus, which gave me the feeling of being in a dirty train tunnel. My issues with the school pertain to its administration. I had multiple issues when enrolling for classes during each semester. It seemed like no matter what some piece of paperwork would be lost. Once they even lost proof of one of my scholarships, luckily I had copies. When it came time to cut the check for the semester there would always be an issue with the amount. Sometimes we overpaid, sometimes we underpaid, it was as though they never got the final amount right on the first try. It was frusturating to deal with. Another issue I had was with the WiFi in the school. I would be in the library during the period between classes on my laptop trying to get work done, only to find the connection suddenly stopped and I could no longer connect to the internet. Some days were worse than others with this, it was very unpredictable as to when it would work and when it would not. I won't end up graduating from North Shore as of right now as I'm going the military route instead. However, there are some very good professors at this school, just be prepared to deal with a mediocre administrative department if you decide that North Shore is for you.Millard Fillmore

Harvard is one of the most prestigious universities in the World and every one wishes to visit it once in a life time. I had this chance to go there and walk around this beautiful institute. The good thing is that it is open for all and everyone could go around and visit. I saw many tourists there enjoying walking and taking photos. The good thing which I liked was that seeing people doing Yoga in the open space and in nature. I liked that and participated with them in yoga. It was nice walking around Harvard university . I would recommend either taking a guided tour or to download and follow the self guided tour so you understand the history behind the university. I loved the library and the story behind it. Unfortunately wasn’t able to go inside but would have loved to. I have to be honest about this. Good college when it comes to campus design, some Professor's teaching skills, and assistance for school related issues. Although, the school teaches bad ethics. For example, sports lack discipline. They will teach there athletes to run score boards up. Up by 20 in a basketball game with 3mins to go, they will shoot more three point shots than Steve Kerr. The most alarming thing is faculty will participate in Hazing students. I've watch this with my own two eyes. Call them out on it, and they will just deny it, at least my professor did. I am currently a student there, who help form a club, in order to help students get there basic needs to become a successful student. So just remember, good campus design, some Professors have good teaching styles, good for resources, but terrible place to learn good ethics. To me learning good ethics and applying them is one of the most important, or the most important thing to learn as a student. Would not be the first school I would want to send my child to. I do recommend this college as an affordable and easy starting point but be ready to encounter many hurdles in your way and a lot of incompetent staff. Make sure to double check everything you do here, especially the financial aid part. The professors are nice but it’s on you to actually learn the material, the professors rarely will make sure you learned anything. It’s a 3 star college. It’s unfortunate that I have to write this review but I am in hopes of MCPHS revising their admissions process for the Physician Assistant Program. I know that I was not the only student this year that was invited to interview and then closed out of an interview spot and placed on a waiting list. When I contacted MCPHS they told me that I may not get to interview after all as they had accidentally invited too many people to interview and did not have the resources to open up more interview dates even though acceptances are not on a rolling basis. How does a top tier medical university not have the resources to interview all the students they invited? By choosing to interview solely the people that happened to secure spots first, not only are they limiting the potential of their incoming class and proving that they only care about filling the spots for monetary reasons, but they are limiting the future of numerous successful students who worked hard to get an interview invitation. When I asked Jordan Hunt (admissions counselor) to make sense of this she was unable to provide a competent answer besides that the university messed up and the incoming students are the ones facing the repercussions. I’m not writing this for myself, but for the other students who were too timid to speak up or who had chosen this school as their top choice and then got screwed. I truly feel bad for some of the other incoming students who do not have other options and were relying on MCPHS. I am very disappointed. MCPHS either needs to change their interviewing process to rolling acceptances (interviewing the top tier students first and then going down the line) or they need to use this model but be willing to open up more dates in case of overflow. Side note: They informed me that students on the waiting list could be notified up to a day before an interview that a spot had opened up. Do they not take into consideration that everyone doesn’t live near Boston or works full-time? Extremely dissatisfied with this supposedly “top tier” medical college.Maddy Frank

Hey guys, good for all the students giving great remarks. I don't know if the school has paid you. I must say i was in the nursing program , ( the set that started 2005) the teachers were very bad. Everything was very difficult, out of 50 students that got into the nursing program only 15 students or even less that graduated from the program. Judy Murphy was very racist, no room for improvement. It was a very bad school. I will recommend another school any day any time as matter off fact the school needs to refund money back to students that paid for tuition. All they care about is your money and not the students. It was a very traumatic experience. It was one of the worst decision i have ever made in life to attend that college. I Owe up to 100,000 in debt with no nursing degree to show for. I thank the Almighty God i got my degree from another school with no stress or frustration. Guys open your eyes and look for another school. I just finished my second-year in PharmD program in MCPHS. I’m gonna transfer to Worcester to study the accelerated program. I have had great time in MCPHS so far. All professors are very nice and friendly. I haven’t met any professor who’s not willing to help student wholeheartedly. They always have office hours to answer students’ inquiries and to clarify the lecture in case the students don’t understand. There are absolutely no discrimination in MCPHS. It’s all about respect. Every MCP student is very welcoming so we have a very close-knit community in MCP. The program is well-designed and bearable. Sometime I feel overwhelmed but it’s not impossible to pass as many people say. You just need to put time and effort and you’ll be fine. In short, MCPHS is a great university for those who seriously pursuit a professional career in pharmacy and health sciences.Bill Nguyen

School seemed great when I toured it, but from day 1 that changed. I didn't recieve any of the assistance or help I was told I'd be able to get/be provided with. The dorms had many issues, such as my room along some of my friends rooms lacked door knobs and even locks. In the winter the heat didn't work at all, and for days at a time there would be no hot water through out the building(s). It normally took a day or longer for any form of maintenance/repairs to be done. Was given very little info about/prior to activities and or things going on at the school. The computers throughout the dorms almost never worked so if you don't/didn't have your own computer you couldn't do basically any of the work you'd need to do (for most all work at the school has to be done on the computer or online) and even if you did have your own computer or the ones in the dorms worked the internet barley ever worked, so no matter what getting work done was very difficult. Also, the attendance policy is very strict and no matter what the situation, whether it be a family emergency or just no going to class because you don't want to, if you miss 3 or more straight classes you get kicked out of the school and with little to no prior warning about being kicked out. Overall, I had many issues and problems (some of which are stated, but not all) with this school, which made for a pretty bad college experience. To finish, this school sucks, and is a complete waste of time and money from the moment you start. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME WITH THIS SCHOOL.Adam Hope

I started looking at Bay State College because of the great things I had read and seen online. I requested information and received that promptly. I applied and got accepted. That process was very smooth. I was at a community college before and had some credits that would transfer. Bay State staff helped me with the process and made sure the credits that could transfer would transfer. Fast forward two years. I received my Associate's in Criminal Justice and I am in the Bachelor's program scheduled to be done this year. I have built amazing relationships with professors and staff. They have become more like a family. If I ever have an issue I reach out and someone will always have an answer for me. When they do not, believe me. They find it. There are so many opportunities they have to offer you just have to ask. I am sad my time is coming to an end with Bay State. The first thing I will say about this school is that the student population is one of the rudest and meanest student populations in the country. Everyone I have met at this place is all about appearing cool and smart, and if you don't go to school here you are looked down upon. The dorms are absolutely terrible here and most buildings are made of concrete. Most state universities are the pride of the state but I don't think people view UMass that way. The school used to have friendly students and a low tuition/fees, now it is the exact opposite. When you go to Umass you are paying for a college experience, your not paying for a quality education. Public schools are a major part of the downfall of society, and this school is a perfect example of a school doing that. Every time I have been on this campus I am not acknowledged and if you don't conform to Umass standards you are an outsider. I understand education is important but the students/staff could at least show some respect to people outside their clique of Umass society. Umass has gotten better in some aspects but in many aspects it is still failing. It is not a open minded campus. I think most people who leave this school are so absorbed into a career mindset that they forget that life is about more than just a career and income. A major problem with universities especially UMass is people choose a very narrow path of education. People should be interested in many different fields of knowledge rather than what their major is. This is one of the largest university in New England and very good for computer science and related fields. pros: Good university with excellent infrastructure and ideal environment for student life. Most of the buildings are new and in good condition. Since there is a large student body, you will find many different kinds of student activities like sports activities and other extra curricular activities. Needless to say, when I attended NU, I acquired four different international experiences for a total of two years working and studying overseas before graduating college. I completed two six month Co-ops, one for a major financial firm in London and another for a multinational tech company in Paris. Also, during a yearlong study abroad at an English university, I was awarded Full Colours, for competing in rugby at the collegiate level. This was a huge honor! Further, I had an amazing opportunity to attend a tech conference in London where I was heavily involved with innovation working groups. Also, with both London and Paris as my home bases and launching pads to the rest of Europe, I got to go backpacking in England, Ireland, Wales, Italy, Germany, and Russia. Back in the U.S., I completed a six month Co-op for another multinational tech company in Oregon. Went to the Graduate Open House there today, I have to say that I were impressed. Everything was well organized: the university tour, the application workshop, multiple aid desks to provide information on every aspect in a student life like financial aid, scholarships, a specific info about the differents college… One thing that I enjoyed most was the exposition on Cuba in Northeastern University Gallery. Worst school I’ve ever attended! IT service has no phone number to reach out. School health insurance never reply your call. International student advisors hard to reach out. Student health center reply your email 3 month later. NEU just admitted as much students as they can each year to make money, and lack to staff to support any students.Belle

6/29/22 my Husband and I just arrived at this medical center . They have parking valet and self park. From hotel to here a lot of winding roads can be a bit confusing . Thank Christ we found our way to Dana Faber. You need to wear mask at all times. Their mask is first class tho . first floor you get your name tag and asked pre-screening COVID question . Then you go on the second floor for check in and lab services . So far everyone we have encounter that work here is five service. Found a nice little chapel , alway make sure in the chapel or not that you pray specially in places like this . Pray in the name of Jesus that is the name above all names .Marilyn MC

Some of the best doctors in the world are right here at Dana Farber. They are caring, compassionate & knowledgeable. Dr. Rubinson made my husband feel like he was his only patient. He was always honest & open to my husband's thoughts & suggestions. My mom is currently being treated & Dr. McCleary is a ray of light in a pretty dark time. As an employee it's difficult hearing some of the stories, but it lightens the heart knowing you are part of a team that puts the patient first, they don't just treat the disease they treat the whole patient mind, body & soul.Tonya Tate

Great doctors, but the term "appointment" is used quite loosely here. Waiting 45 – 75min past my appointment time to see my oncologist or to receive treatment is the norm. Once the front desk attendant didn't check me in properly so I sat in the waiting room for 1hr before asking the front desk for an update, only to find out I was never checked in and my doc was wondering why I was so late! Once you finally make it into the exam room, the doctors are very kind and empathetic, and consider your quality of life when making treatment decisions.Charlotte Hyland

The nursing staff in Plymouth BID Hospital in the ER DEPT is is despicable. They are the most unprofessional and uncaring nurses I’ve ever come across. Then I had to be transferred to BID hospital in Boston and it has been no better. Sitting here with vomit and unclean Johnnys for hours on end. Trying to get a .nurse to come to my room waiting up to an hour and 45 minutes for someone to come to my room. My IV came out of my arm and it took 45 minutes for a nurse to come and help me. Thank god I was able to stop the bleeding myself from IV. What if I was an Elderly person and didn’t know to apply pressure to my arm so that my vein would stop bleeding. These are just a few examples of why this hospital starting staff should be overhauled and retrained. If you don’t want to be a nurse then don’t take on the position I realize it’s a lot of work and it’s demanding and it’s hard with the overwhelming amount of people with Covid and that are sick but if you can’t treat your patient with respect and dignity and care and compassion then you don’t belong in this field. It’s an absolute shame that I’ve had this experience today is September 24 I’ve been here for several days I have run across a few good nurses yes but the overwhelming amount of disrespect in and care for the patient in this hospital is not acceptable.Kim White

I recommend that you do not go here if you are seeking gender affirmation surgery. My friend received bottom surgery at Beth Israel last year, and she received top notch care! However, this year the surgery department has become overwhelmed. They had an incompetent secretary (who has since left) who didn’t even correctly schedule me for my consultation. Surgeon showed me a portfolio that was not his work. I had 2 scheduled surgeries this summer that were canceled because the office could not get through to my insurance. When I requested to pay out-of-pocket for the costs that were not covered, I received no response. I then requested that they rescind my authorization so I can seek surgery somewhere else (at this point, 8 months of my time had been wasted). A month after I told Beth Israel that I was done, I received a notification that I was scheduled for a surgery. I reached out and the office let me know that they scheduled me so that I can still be considered for surgery. I let them know I was uninterested. Most devastating experience of my life, put me much farther behind when I had already been trying to get top surgery for YEARS. Good surgeons here, but if you have Medicaid, you will likely never see them. Wish I could get back the time that was wasted.Erin Lynn

I had a biopsy and the pain made me extremely ill. I could not get up and or walk afterward I was dizzy. I told the gynecologist that preformed the the biopsy and she dismissed me and asked me to leave. I made it to the reception area flailing and yet again was met with what I can only describe as cruelty from the receptionist. I collapsed in the parking garage and was taken into the lobby by paramedics. I was in and out of consciousness listening to them repeating over and over, "we're losing her." Good times.kerry clancy

I've been coming to the dental school as a patient for several years. I started because after studying in England for several years the dentists they're had done a significant amount of damage to my teeth which meant a lot of restoration work back in the U.S. it started with a root canal that had to be redone that was done on England and got infected. My insurance was all used up for the year with one root canal and crown. Then they told me that another root canal was getting infected and this one also needed surgery, but my dental insurance was used up for the year and it would be months before the end of the year. But it was starting to hurt so this couldn't wait for months. Since I wouldn't be able to afford it without insurance, someone told me that it is much cheaper as a patient at the dental school at Tufts. I arranged for an appointment and became a patient and have been one for years. Due to it being a dental school, the appointments take a lot longer and are booked for 3 hour time slots (most times it may take less than that, sometimes though, it may need a little longer). Everything is double checked by a professor every step the way so no mistakes are ever made. Also being students they tend to be very cautious not to hurt you, whereas experienced dentists don't really care about your discomfort and just want to get the job finished. With a good dentist that can be a good thing as they will finish berry fast and not hurt you at all, but some dentists are not very good. This had never been an issue here. Every couple of years the student that I was assigned to graduates do a new student has to be assigned. The appointments might take longer, but the price even if they don't take your insurance can't be beat. If they do take your insurance, I would definitely use them. Very negative opinion about the office of Dr. James Bono of New England Baptist Hospital. On the recommendation from our neighbors who had a surgery in this hospital, we turned to the office of Dr. J.Bono for a consultation in regards to my wife’s right knee joint issues. 1. The office asked for a disk with a knee X-Ray. Later we got a call from the office – the disk is ‘broken’. Although, even to a person without any medical education, the degree of damage to the knee joint is clearly visible. (Before sending the disk to the office, I have looked at the picture). 2. They demanded to send a new disk. 3. Sent a new disk. Now it turned out that insurance was not suitable. Although, my wife has both Medicare and Masshealth insurance that covers most if not all the surgeries. My opinion. The hospital selects patients on grounds that are incomprehensible to me. Thus, in my opinion, claiming that this is an elite medical institution. And this does not in any way correspond to the information that you get acquainted with when describing the services of the hospital. Dear future patients, please be careful when choosing New England Baptist Hospital to treat your medical problems.Mikhail Korsunsky

I went there recently for extreme leg pain, referred there by my Pain Management doctor. I was excited when I finally got there. The Doctor, unnamed, I saw, for about 9 minutes, told me that my leg pain was coming from my hip, not my back and referred me to his Hip doctor. I did not believe him, I have been living with this pain for too long to think it was my hip, although I do have hip issues. So I asked my pain management doctor for another referral. He then sent me to Tufts Medical Center and set me up with Bostons best Neurosurgeon. That doctor told me he found the issue on my spine and gave me a 70% chance that he could fix it. He Fixed my leg pain, something that New England Baptist couldn't do. Tufts found a Bone spur pushing against my leg nerves. Thank you Dr Riesenburger at Tufts! You changed my life!Jim C

Feb 2 2022 was our second experience at New England Baptist Hospital. I’m an Rn in western MA and my husband has multiple issues with his joints and muscles due to a birth injury. This hospital gives impeccable care and safety to each patient. I don’t like the drive to Boston but they are so on top of everything it is the only place to go. My son had open heart surgery in Springfield and I could not convince him to go to Boston. He had terrible nursing care; ICU nurses with 4 fresh open heart patients. He literally almost stroked there when he was given too much epi and his BP was 280 over 210. At Baptist they keep their nurse patient ratios safe and DO NOT deviate from their standards. Was a student of MTTI's Medical Coding Program that just graduated this passed June 2022. There were a few bumps in the road during the schooling but overall it is a very good school with active faculty members. Just wanted to review mainly to highlight Mrs Rocc. She is extremely empathetic and tries for every student that enters her classroom. The trick with her is if you are struggling or have a question LET HER KNOW. If she knows she will tell you or guide you depending on scenario. And if she doesn't, she will hands down be right there with you looking for an answer to help! She doesn't give up on students. And she genuinely cares. Even now she checks in on me to see how I'm doing in my career path! Also Shawn the Career coordinator. He is very good at what he does! He will guide you through the school year with resume prep, interview prep, job search, and still emails after you graduated to update you on employment opportunities. He responds back to questions and emails quickly and tries for the students of MTTI. Extremely professional and a great addition to the faculty at MTTI.Katrina C

I had a really great experience both teachers were awesome! I started off not knowing anything about bikes and by the end of the year I restored a whole bike in two months. The teachers were very patient and listened to me whenever I was having trouble. They helped me learn things step by step and went over everything multiple times to make sure everyone understood all the details. The class work and notes were very clear and they gave us a good amount of time to study before each test. The textbooks and shop assignments were very helpful and made everything a lot more clear. It helped me a lot learning in class then going into the shop and doing job sheets and being hands on. They always made sure everyone was on the same page and never rushed. I took the residential and commercial electrical course and came in as a no nothing and left as one of the top students, which I had never done before and I have to thank my instructor Rick and skills instructor Dennis for guiding me through this process. I couldn’t have done it without their knowledge and guiding and believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. Going to a school in where you’re actually invested in what’s going on makes learning so much easier because you actually want to be there and are invested. I also want to thank Shawn for making the job search process a breeze and helping me find a quality career. All in all MTTI is a great school filled with hands on learning and instructors determined to see you succeed. Anyone considering enrolling should do so you won’t regret it.Dimitri Graca
