'Business is Personal' is tagline of the school and everyone makes it sure to follow it completely. MBA itself is difficult and time consuming but from students, professors to career coaches and admission staff put in lot of efforts to help us as much as possible. Concentration wise – SCM and marketing are really good. I cannot speak for other as I am not aware of the details. Financial aids – School offers tremendous support in this if you are eligible and great candidate. Future Forward – The latest curriculum is very new to be reviewed but core strengths are similar so should be great value addition in near future. Placements- Graduate Career Center helps a lot with recruiting events and career coaching. International students have limited opportunities and have to try harder (but it is not specific to school). Summer Internship is compulsory. Class size – small cohort helps a lot. This was one of my major reasons for selection.Jefri Tamba

W. P. Carey is a top ranked business school and has exceeded my expectations. The school offers over 30 degree options, giving students the opportunity to specialize in an area. Additionally, the Student Engagement team pours their heart into ensuring students are getting involved, have access to leadership positions, and feel connected to the school. The Career Management and Employer Engagement team also provides students with a plethora of internship/job opportunities, resume/cover letter support, and interview prep. I am extremely impressed by the faculty as well. All of my professors have truly cared for my success and have helped me in invaluable ways. You will be supported in countless ways here. W. P. This business school has a great reputation, and although I knew that coming in as a student, I got way more than what I was expecting from it over my 4 years here. The professors, faculty, and even the alumni will never say no if you need help and they will do the best they can to help you get where you want to be school/career-wise. Additionally, the high number of extremely bright students here is a very positive influence since it not only drives you to improve yourself and be highly competitive individually, but it also gives you the opportunity to network and build significant relationships with many students that can only influence you in great ways during your college years and beyond.Juan Valenzuela Gallardo

The level of frustration I have with the financial aid office right now is uncalled for. For two months now, TWO MONTHS I have been attempting to get my financial aid straightened out for the last class I need for my degree. I’ve gone in several times and spoke directly to someone in financial aid, I’ve spoke to someone almost weekly over the phone and now I’m almost two weeks into this class and NOW they tell me I won’t be getting financial aid for this one class. I’ve filled out and had approved form after form, have notifications in my student center stating I will be getting awarded for this class and only this class and now they tell me nope sorry you’re not enrolled in enough credits. What?!!! How many people have opened my account and saw this was the only freaking class I was in?!! Why have me jump through so many hoops if I wasn’t even eligible in the first place? Zero help or communication from anyone in the financial aid department. I urge anyone thinking of going to any Maricopa school to go else where this behavior is consistent across every college within the system. I’m a working single mother, I don’t just have $300 lying around to pay for classes, which is why I applied for financial aid! Thanks for waisting my time and energy for absolutely nothing. One of the worst customer services I've had to deal with. I bought 15$ dollar headphones and I wanted to return them the same day because they couldn't plug into the school computers. I had ask (in the most generous way) if I could get my money back and get different headphones. I just wanted to do my homework on the school computers. Joana (the lady working at the store) stated that " you can't return these headphones. Once you open them you can't refund them". In my head, I thought to myself ' Any student that opens a textbook can't get their money back even if it's the wrong textbook'? When I first purchased these the same day, she didn't even give me a receipt. she just said thanks & went back on her phone. However, I walked back into the store and then stated that " On the receipt that you didn't give me the first time coming to bookstore stated that "Non-Textbook items may be returned within 30 days of purchases. She then stated that "It doesn't cover all scenarios and situations" She then proceeded to play on her mobile device. Never go to this bookstore unless you want the employees to ignore you.Joseph Perrine

Giving negative stars should be an option. Followed the class plan to get my psychology degree given to my by one counselor only to be told that was wrong the semester I was set to graduate. Got another plan from a different counselor paid out of pocket to take the psych course I WAS TOLD THAT WAS ALL THAT WAS NEEDED, confirmed I completed ALL necessary classes, took time to walk across the stage. When months went by and I hadn't gotten my degree I reached out only yo find that counselor was no longer there and the math class she said I didn't need yo get my degree was needed BUT they don't offer that class anymore. Person I spoke with tried to brow beat and guilt trip me into taking a basic degree. I didn't spend 12k to NOT get the degree I signed up for on day 1. This is a deceptive practice forcing students to taken more classes they don't need because your counselor screwed up 2 OF THEM!!! Shame on you for not owning your mess up and making it right.G H

Paradise Valley Community college is more than just a college because it is truly a community with people who truly care about your success! The teachers, staff, and students all make you feel welcome. The campus is also beautiful to talk a walk around both indoors and outdoors. Buying/renting textbooks and any needed items physically and digitally is a pretty smooth transition! One of the best interactions I had at PVCC was when I was inquiring about enrolling at PVCC in Fall 2020 for the spring semester 2021 as a new student, the supervisor in the PVCC Admissions/Recruitment office for new students (I cannot remember his name… Alex/Josh maybe? He's the main supervisor for new students for PVCC) was SO kind over the phone! He literally talked to me for 30-45 minutes explaining deadlines for FAFSA, placement test advice, payment plans, what scholarships I should apply for, broke down how FAFSA exactly works depending on how many classes you take, and even connected with me about him being a former actor then how he transitioned to getting an educational degree when he went back to school before landing his job with helping college students which was so neat to hear as I'm a Theatre Major so he was not only able to provide some insight as a former artist but he eased my anxious feelings about not knowing everything I needed to do in order to apply because he was very personable and didn't get annoyed at me when I was asking basic questions about enrollment. He was the FIRST college person to break everything down and give me an order of what was important so I could be as successful as possible. I didn't get that type of kind and thoughtful explaining about college when I was in high school applying to colleges. I had talked to other colleges and universities where conversations were off-putting unfortunately they would just say everything you needed to do as a new student within 30 seconds and then get frustrated if you don't understand or needed clarification. I highly recommend PVCC if you're looking to do your Associates Degree, Associate to transfer to a Bachelor's at university, or even to take some classes just for fun because you just want to learn THE THING you've always wanted to do but are scared, do it at PVCC (for me it was dance classes, I finally did my first two dance classes EVER at PVCC and I loved it!).Rebeca Anvik

PVCC not only has a beautiful campus, but also offers a wide variety of programs. Student life events are another great advantage of this college. PVCC actively offers opportunities for students to get involved, and provides support for students to succeed in their academic goals. I have been so impressed with the faculty and how attentive they are to students concerns and needs. The school also does a fantastic job of engaging and empowering students! I have made so many friends through my participation in student clubs and organizations. I’m graduating from the nursing program this semester, and I am so thankful for the education and experiences I have been provided. The Nursing professors are outstanding! They are supportive, encouraging, uplifting, professional, and hold their students to a high level of learning and comprehension. I do my running on the track, it's not the most modern up-to-date facility when it comes to their sports courts, it could use some upgrades, but it's free and it's a very nice setting and backs up to the golf course, and it's better than running on the concrete streets. Not sure how the community college itself is it looks real nice I'm sure it's beautiful I just use the sports facilities outdoors.Thomas Uhlenberg

I would not recommend this school, I am truly and whole heartedly regretful of choosing this school over all of the other options I had. Something about this school stood out to me, and the counselors here try really hard to get you in. I do not identify with Christian faith and I am not religious at all so I initially felt weird about going to this school, but they mention multiple times that they accept all faiths and backgrounds so I felt better. However, upon talking their forced “Christian Worldview” class, the teacher grades with an iron fist for a 101 class and is just awful. My GPA for sure was going to plummet due to this stupid 101 class that they force on you. Honestly it was so ridiculous that I felt the need to reach out to my advisor. I was trying to come up with a solution because I felt some type of way about this. I suggested them placing me with a different teacher, since this teacher has AWFUL reviews going back years yet they do nothing about it. However they pretty much told me I still had to take the class, I could not switch to another teacher (you cannot pick your own teachers by the way which is huge for me now). Their only solution was that “another teacher would review my work.” This turned me off so bad from the entire school that I ended up withdrawing due to principal which messed up my financial aid. They honestly did not care one bit and obviously know there is a problem but do nothing to address it. I was so turned off that I chose to mess up my financial aid and just pick another school, there was no way that I was finishing out my degree here after this. Go elsewhere !!Taylor

I am an Atheist. I chose this college because it had the focus I was looking for, the delivery method was fully online so I could continue to work, and the price was the best around. I did not feel like being of the Christian faith was a prerequisite. My instructors and professors were not pushy with religion, and for a master's program, I felt like I was able to learn what was necessary for the field I was in. I have a Master's degree and 2 focuses now from GCU and I couldn't be happier with my education and experience. The guidance counselors were great, the financial aid process was easy, and I'm grateful for GCU and all they have done for me.April Wittmeyer

Parking in Garage building#7 on 33rdAvewas the best for going into the areana. We had to checkin at theguard station, drive around it then enter the parking garage. Parking was allowed on the 2ndfloor and above. It was the AFHE homeschool senior graduation. The campuswas very green. The areana was building #38 there is a museum to JERRY COLANGELO here and a beautiful tripple cross monument. The restrooms are spacious and everything but the soap dispensers are automated. My Story As a former student of the University of Advancing Technology or UAT I want to reach out to all future students that are considering this school as an option. I spent from 2012 – 2016 completing my undergraduate program with my Bachelors of Arts in Video Game Design. Where I worked 40+ hours a week, maintained my family life, and completed my program online. In my 4 years every professor that I had was extremely supportive an really promoted and communicated the expectations and understanding of the quality of work that needed to be done as well as the opportunities for students to continue being successful with academics while navigating life challenges. From work/life balance to family medical emergencies everyone single professor was able to help me navigate those challenges while not having to exit school for any duration of time. When I finished my undergraduate program, I left UAT with a solid knowledge and understanding of what it took to make games and how to get that career path started. Because of my positive experience at UAT the first time I decided to go back for a graduate program with a Masters of Science in Technology Leadership. During this time, I was not working and had every opportunity to focus 100% on school for the 2 years I was enrolled. Then COVID 19 happened, UAT was able to quickly adapt and conquer the challenges that social distancing and remote working guidelines had put on almost the entire nation. UAT used its knowledge and passion for technology to not only mitigate COVID challenges but also keep every student on track to succeed in their educational journey with little to no delay. I finished my Masters program and during my exit interview found out that I could dual major with just a few more classes, so I decided to extend my stay there for one more term and finish my Masters of Science in Video Game Production and Management as well. Conclusion If your looking for an education in the technology space, heavily consider UAT as your choice to attend. Let me start off by saying I wish I could give this school a 2.5. I went to this school (2016) with financial problems immediately. I had a financial adviser who told me that I could attend school there and everything had been paid for. Literally after five minutes of being there I was told that she hadn't checked if I could actually attend there, but had only assumed. This was a huge problem seeing as I had flown from Washington to Arizona to attend this school. Upon my nine months there my financial adviser had changed three times. The only thing I really enjoyed was Renee, she has always been kind to me and my situation even to this day. In regards to the academic side of the school, I don't think you get much out of classes for what you're paying. With how much you end up paying a single class would be $180 which is completely insane when a few of the professors don't actually teach you anything. I was a Programming Major and from what I saw and from how I was treated if you already knew how to program or you picked up on it really fast you were automatically favored – this also went for the Game Art degree. During my classes I had been accused of cheating off of a peer when I didn't. Some of the classes are a real challenge though and they were definitely worth the $180. Now onto Founder's Hall. I was an RA there for 6 months. The dorms are messy and there's hardly anyone in the dorms that's social. Due to this their rooms are disgusting and a lot of rooms here do have cockroaches – it really doesn't matter if you're clean or messy, there's cockroaches. I will say that the school seems to be doing a bit better with the dorms and the cafe and what not, but people are still falling out of that school due to the fact that it costs way too much for anyone coming from middle-class or lower. I wouldn't have left if it wasn't for someone who was finishing up his last semester. He was a close friend and had expressed to me how he hoped I wouldn't stay here and have my money sucked out of me and end up with a degree and no job.kkylenkk

My son and I have been so impressed with the staff at UAT that we sent them letters telling them so. We appreciated the warm welcome, well-coordinated incoming events, personable staff and flexibility for students. The communications throughout the year have been great as a parent back here in Minnesota. The logical response to the unprecedented demands for Covid19 included thoughtful adjustments for the residence hall, school operations and courses. My son received support and accommodations for ADHD, anxiety and depression. Ashley in Student Services has been an incredible support and advocate for him. We were able to meet with her together and I was immediately grateful that she was so knowledgeable and warm. I knew he would be lucky to have her as a support. Ashley is enthusiastic and genuinely interested in students. She makes a point to reach out to them and visit the Commons as well. Although my son has been an excellent student in the past, he struggled with the new responsibility of creating his own schedule. Being overwhelmed and anxious led him to fall behind significantly. Ashley supported him, brainstormed options and coordinated schedule adjustments. Teachers provided accommodations on an ongoing basis. I recognize the understanding and time this degree of extra coordination requires. They deserve recognition also. My son and I both felt that what he has learned at UAT, both in and out of classes, was even greater since he developed skills through these struggles. He considers it all a tremendous learning experience. In summary, we've been incredibly pleased with how UAT operates and meets student needs personally and academically.Linda Ell-Egermeier

I have a mobility scooter because I can't walk very well anymore. This scooter is electric and I don't go very far on it as it has a limited range. The park I go to some times is far (in a wheelchair). I cut through the north campus parking lot 100's of yards from any building to save some battery. I felt dejected today when I was accosted by one of the campus police telling me to leave as is a closed campus. It did not feel like it was for my safety as much as him exerting his authority. I was just cutting the corner of the campus away from anyone. Edit: This happened around noonish on the same day I posted. Edit2:Not fair to the school so Just the Officer gets a one star for that day. The school itself is pretty awesome.D. O.

I decided to take 2 classes this semester, both in person classes. One started in September and the other in October. My September class is amazing! I love the teacher and the curriculum. My October class was switched to online only days before it was supposed to start- I paid and signed up for an in person class specifically, and was not notified by anyone that it had been moved to online, leaving me with one day to find another class, or bite the bullet and do an online class. Very unhappy with the communication of the school.carly

They are a horror story. 2018 I applied for being a personal trainer. They put me in a weird stack of classes including world religion and other classes. They said I can't change no matter a student advisor's mistake. When I dropped classes they claimed I owed them almost $400 for their mistake and out a freeze on my FAFSA.Scandy Italian Ice

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Bryan University. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Advanced Professional Fitness Training and Exercise Science. The training was top notch and immediately applicable to real-world situations. All the instructors I encountered have a sincere desire to help students become successful. Since graduating, I have obtained a senior management position in a local high-end fitness club and the ability to start my own successful fitness business. I have also become an Adjunct Strength and Conditioning Instructor at my local Community College and started a fitness video-cast with a fellow Bryan University graduate. The education I received at Bryan University enabled me to become a volunteer strength and conditioning coach for a local high school football team as well as provide Pro Bono fitness classes for people who usually cannot afford such services. Finally, I have expanded my business to specialize in physique competitors, which has been a challenging and rewarding endeavor. All due to the foundation received at Bryan University. I just graduated from Bryan back in October with my BS in Exercise Science. I was a little bit skeptical about taking online courses, but once I got into it I found for me it was the only way to go. It fit well into my schedule, and for most mods you were in an actual online class. So you got to see fellow classmates and your instructors. Courses were challenging but not more than you can handle. I continued to work full time while completing my course work. Also, they have great instructors at Bryan University. They are very knowledgeable and were always willing to lend a helping hand if I had any questions about a class or assignment, or if I needed more help understanding a specific topic. Can't say enough about the instructors I had. I am currently a fitness director and personal trainer at a local athletic club, and also a strength coach at a local Catholic high school. Literally within a week of my graduation I got a job offer at one of the premier fitness clubs in the country. I would highly recommend Bryan U to anyone looking to gain the knowledge they need to further their career.Mike Ferris

I stumbled into Bryan University unsure if I was ready to go back to school. To say I was scared would be an understatement, so many things I didn't think of prior suddenly popped up. I originally signed up to attempt my Associates degree after three years I finished with my Bachelors because of Bryan University I am now working towards my Masters. Almost every question I ever had was quickly answered by one of the amazing faculty. The interaction with my instructors made everything possible, they not only shared their knowledge in teaching us, they shared their own success and failures along their way to help us better understand the information while helping prepare us for our next steps. I went here for the welding program and I’m very disappointed with my experience. I finished top 3 in my class and left not feeling ready for the real world. I found that instructors often contradict eachother. Mario is the only competent instructor, the other instructors, especially Sam have bad attitudes about welding and are seen outside of the class room hanging out most of the time. I heard a lot of good things about instructor Larrison Smith from both students and the online reviews, he was working morning classes until RSI fired him. Being from the afternoon class we had Mario teaching half the class and then after that we were left with the inexperienced instructors that are not good at teaching. It seemed like students from the morning class got the best treatment as far as having everything they needed to succeed. Most of my welding knowledge has came from YouTube since there’s too many students for good 1 on 1 time. I had all of my welding equipment stolen and had 0 help replacing them. Numerous times they run out of material to weld on and a majority of them are cut out very poorly. When it came time to start welding stainless steel and aluminum (which is what I wanted to do the whole time I was at school) we were told to get our pieces from the trash, which it’s all warped, dirty, and filled with weld already. This school is way too over priced for the information and training you get, and I would highly recommend looking into another school.Nich Palencia

RSI is a great school to attend if you want to learn something new, in a different field. Its all up to you and how you want it to work for you. The instructors do an awesome job at keeping their students in line and on track to graduate. Being part of the first set of classes to go through the program and graduate (aug 2018). We had a lot of bumps with having to learn to weld outside in the sun in an empty space for a couple weeks. Haha then having a string of other instructors that didnt last long. L. Smith did his best to teach all of his students in the welding class. As a class we all did our part to help each other with as much guidance as we need from Larrison and Eric. Would highly recommend these two to anybody that wants to learn how to become a welder!! 👌Amber Purley

I had been managing restaurants but always had a passion for working different forms of construction, remodeling, etc. I decided this was the perfect opportunity for me, and I couldn't have been happier with my decision to attend R.S.I. If you are considering a career change, or looking for your first start towards a solid, lucrative career in an industry that is all but guaranteed to grow every year, then this should be your choice too. My advisor was Sharon, you can call the school and talk with her, or any of the other advisors and they will give you a tour and answer any questions you might have. This medical assistant program was everything I wanted out of a school and my education. Growing up in Hawai’i and the culture there it has become an instinct to seek out anything that feels like a community. I graduated at the beginning of February of this year and after completing 11 weeks of externship here is what I have learned: Any other MAs I work with are extraordinary at their jobs; personable, professional, HIPAA compliant, OSHA compliant, etc. They are wonderful MAs all in their own way but what I feel is profoundly different from them, their education, and the one I have gotten is knowing my scope of practice. It’s become apparent that many MAs like to be directed on what to do and when to do it for their patients, and that’s amazing, however, it is well within our scope of practice to ask questions, to advocate on our patients behalf, and to educate our patients on, not only their rights, but their medical care. My coworkers often ask me WHY I am always going to the providers and asking if a certain treatment will benefit our patient.. well, because I was given the confidence and the knowledge to know that, while I may not suggest or recommend any treatment to a patient, I CAN ask a provider if something different will help our patient. Sometimes they tell me no and every time they have it has been another opportunity to learn. In the often times they do take my inquiries under consideration, more often than not, I find that the treatment/patient care has benefited our patient 1. Because it makes them feel and let’s them know we are all in with them. 2. They are the ones who are actually in control when we’re in a room together. And 3. They just need to be reminded that simple fixes don’t always exist and it’s okay to ask/research what may work for them. It is because of The Allen School that I am not the kind of medical assistant who applies my medical knowledge to my patient.. instead, I apply every patient, their symptoms, their history, and their experiences, to my medical knowledge and build from there. Being in the medical field (especially working in womens health) is what I was born to do. Allen School and my instructors fueled my passion more everyday. I can only hope to represent them to the best of my ability and to continue being the medical assistant I would wish for every single one of my loved ones to have. Allen school is not easy, no one should attend expecting to float through the program without being challenged.. this program cultivates wonderful and highly sought after MAs for a reason. What I will say is, the education you choose could make a difference in how you care for someone’s loved one, you have to ask yourself.. do you want the best education or not? Would you want the MA you have caring for you to be as educated and prepared as they possibly can be? Allen School isn’t perfect.. but you will leave there knowledgeable, you will leave there prepared for your externship, and you will leave knowing you can return to a community that will be there for you. I would like to add that Tara Evans, the externship advisor/coordinator is an absolute god-send. She, too, was born for her position and her passion for Human Resources and matching an MA to the specialty they feel their heart is called to is unmatched. And Dr. Hunt, both an instructor and the director of the school, absolutely will call on you to show up, everyday, as the best version of yourself and.. she will always require that you can defend your knowledge. If you are not sure if this school is a good fit for you, you can tour the campus and ask the student advisor any/all questions you may have. You can come by and meet instructors and see the students in their class-setting. I have only been here for two months but my experience has been very well. The faculty has a very good depth of knowledge in their own area of practice and have a clear understanding of the Medical Assistant role. The Doctor Directing the entire program teaches some of the more challenging classes and shares real life scenarios while presenting the material to help give a better understanding that will help us grasp the subject. Each instructor is always open to answer questions in or outside the classroom. What I also like is that tutoring is available everyday after school. The school has a recognition program, where certain students are recognized for certain achievements in front of their peers every 5 weeks. The Allen school of health sciences has by far been the best choice i have made in my life. Going into the school I was nervous and excited to open the door to my career, however there was nothing to be nervous about. All the instructors and staff treat you as if you are one of their own and are willing to help you no matter what. Whether it be personal life and you need someone to talk to or if you need help academically, they are always there. My classmates have become my family and there is nothing I would change about my experience. I wish i didn't have to give a star. My wife graduated at the Tucson location, she got hired to work at the Phoenix location as an on call type of basis, and she recently got accepted to go to grad school here. She wanted a new agenda that she can use for her classes. I noticed my wife had 4 University of AZ agendas she used during her undergrad studies. She could've used an agenda from Walmart but she really liked supporting her school by buying an agenda every year from University of AZ until she graduated with her bachelors degree. Now she's a graduate student and I decided to buy her a new one. When I went to visit the Phoenix campus the security was very rude. They called the library to see if it was okay for me to visit. Really? You have to have permission to view the library? The security told me that I'm strictly only allowed to go straight to the library and no where else. This is a different experience for me because when I visited University of AZ Tucson location they're very kind to family members, visitors, and students. Security is very un-welcoming at the Phoenix location. I don't know why they need to be rude when all they deal with majority of the time is students and family members that are excited to visit the campus of loved ones. Family members that are supportive to the school students and staff. When I arrived to the bookstore I was told that they don't carry or sell agendas of any kind. I looked online for the bookstore and I called the number online. Sadly, the person from the bookstore told me over the phone that University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix location doesn't carry agendas and hung up without saying goodbye or see if I had any further questions. OVERALL, FROM A FAMILY MEMBER OF A UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA GRADUATE, GRADUATE STUDENT, STAFF THAT IS ONLY VISITING THE CAMPUS TO BUY AN AGENDA THIS WAS SUCH A NIGHTMARE AND HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.Fredrick Jones

As a patient, I have come across residents amd instructors from multiple disciplines and here are my concerns about the quality of medical professionals who graduate from this school: 1. I am concerned that residents are being taught greed over patients best interests. This means the graduate will be too quick to perform a medical test when the symptoms that a patient has does not line up with the disease or illness that the patient has. This also means medically unnecessary surgeries and the disrespect of informed consent. 2. The graduate will have no critical thinking skills and lacks the ability to keep up with medical research. This in turn will lead misdiagnosis in patients as well as unnecessary treatment while the underlying condition is not treated. Remember, the medical organizations such as American College of Gynecogy, etc. guidelines are written for the physician best interest and not the patient best interest. Take a look at the 2018 diabetic guidelines and their justification for increasing the recommended A1C levels. Instead of addressing the cost of insulin,, they raised the target A1C levels which in turn has the potential to shorten the life expectancy of diabetics in the long run. 3. The graduate is only educated in the white suburban middle class culture. What does this mean, they will be biased to and quick to judge anyone who does not fit in the white middle class suburban culture which is the majority of America. I attended HUAZ as a high school senior, taking two film classes alongside a full schedule of high school classes. I went in uncertain of the sort of experience I would get. Sure they had promised it would be a "creative hub" and I would get tons of "hands-on" experience, but if it was so great, why hadn't I heard of it before? However, within a month I was already directing my first scene. To become better at something, you need practice. To get better at writing, you write. To get better at playing basketball, you play basketball. To become a better filmmaker, you make films. This school provided me with the tools and know-how to do so. I got to learn about film making from people who've been involved for years. I got to use and learn equipment that would've cost a fortune otherwise. Finally, I got to establish myself as a filmmaker. The biggest advantage of this school is that it is very "grassroots" and homegrown. Although it is big enough to provide you with plenty of opportunities in the professional industry, it is small enough to be welcoming and encouraging. You aren't going in and having to follow the standards of decades of filmmakers before you. Instead you can establish your own style, and find what you enjoy about film making. Although the information you learn may be as good as anywhere, the experience is what sets this school apart. I am looking forward to another semester at HUAZ.Jack Mehl

This is the sort of school where you get out of it what you put into it. Meaning, if you work hard and put yourself out there, you will get the opportunity to excel. That doesn't mean every class and teacher is perfect…but one thing I love about HUAZ that isn't found at every university is that students have the chance to change the programs with their feedback. The people in charge truly want to listen to the students and make the school a place where students feel comfortable spending time there, learn what they want to learn, and receive all the support they need to start down their chosen career path. Since the school is so new, its programs are still "under construction." That means than not every problem has been ironed out and there will be conflicts as the school tries to find the right teacher for every class. But the future for HUAZ is bright because the people in charge ARE so open to change based on student feedback. At a huge well-established university, there is very little chance that one student could make a substantial difference in the direction of a program major based on their feedback. But here at HUAZ, they can. They just have to be willing to work through the long, sometimes frustrating process of change and growth as the school evolves into something great in the future.Sarah Wickenhauser

I’m a current student in the ADN program. I knew it was fast paced when I signed up, I knew what it would be like to do a program like this. I prepared myself but the school didn’t really care about the fact that COVID affected everyone differently. Especially a few of the instructors. I never missed a day of school after I got COVID the first week of class and was prompt in communication and was sick for weeks but told I had to return or I’d fall too far behind. I definitely struggled during the semester, but I pushed through, one of my instructors who is the Pharm teacher let me know I couldn’t use COVID as an excuse. She was not sympathetic and wouldn’t let me re take anything, while my other teacher encouraged me and pushed me till I passed. The biggest issue is you have one set of people who care and another set who don’t. They need to reevaluate their staff because they are definitely discouraging many of the students. My experience it was so bad here.. it was a nightmare there was one instructor she was a bully!! She was instructor here and at. 6751 N Sunset Blvd #330, Glendale, She bully students she didn’t like she was so childish unprofessional she act like a high schooler Mean girl lol . she would talk bad about the one student she doesn’t like to everybody to make her look horrible the saddest part is some believe her. she pick favorites and will literally fail students she don't like and brag about it. Fast paced schooling which I love. I attended the Glendale campus because it was so much closer to me than the Phoenix campus on Dunlap. I know it’s not for everyone. I liked that they had the option of doing evening classes, it was pretty flexible with the 2 days outta the week. My dental instructor Mr. Hester was knowledgeable and really helped prep me for my radiation health exam, which I was able to pass on the first try. And found a job rather quickly after I finished. Few things I didn’t like was having to attend all those meetings for how to write a resume and how to look professional for an interview, I really hated those lol. But that showed me that they really do help set you up for success if you have no experience in working for a professional field.Yuzelly Ramirez

This is a fabulous driving school with excellent teachers and a great program. Sadly I cannot give them 5 stars because their scheduling is sometimes difficult. For example, I signed up for a parking class for an extra charge and was not told that that class would only be offered one Sunday a month at 9 in the morning at a location that is 45 minutes away from my house. I did have to sign a form saying that everything was non-refundable once I had paid. This means I have to drive almost 2 hours at a time that is very inconvenient for our family to take this class or I lose the money. For the amount of money that we paid for this course I feel that the scheduling should be more flexible and more times should be available at all locations.Stephanie Koebel

Pros: Comprehensive program with classroom instruction, simulators, and on-road instruction with excellent instructors. Cons: Poor administration and customer service skills. A lot of "scare" tactics about how dangerous driving is–depending on your child's personality, this can be good or bad. By the end of this program, my daughter hated driving. The Scottsdale location was horrible. I wasted $500.00 on them and they kept telling me that I wasn't learning anything. I practiced non stop outside of the school. Yet I still wasn't getting anywhere with theses guys. And talk about belittling someone. They kept calling me "my dear" I have a name! So use it! Just because you're a driving instructor doesn't give you the right to act all high and mighty. I will never return to that school.Simone Norine

I hope that this review helps to ease the stress of your child learning to drive safely. Our son has Autism and needless to say was a bit late to the driving game (23 yoa) While we did not care if he EVER drove, we knew that it was inevitably a necessity. We researched for weeks and finally decided to enroll him in the Driving MBA program. It was the best decision we could have ever made. Everyone there is very patient and accommodating. The program is INTENSE to say the least. It is focused on safety and a very rigorous program that even included us as parents committing to doing the "homework" after each session. Homework was in the form of driving. They ask for 100 hours outside of the program. The DMV requires only 30 total! It took us over a year, but last week our son passed his driver's license test administered by Driving MBA. It was almost 2 hours! Again…DMV driving tests are 30 minutes at best. While it will still be a while before he is ready to hit the road alone, we know that he has received the best training we could ask for. His instructors, Navar and Dawn were amazing and the owner Maria really takes pride and is involved to ensure that only the strictest guidelines are followed. Yes…It is a bit expensive and very involved, but the cost of knowing that we have prepared him as best as we can for this experience is nothing in comparison to receiving a random phone call from a police officer or even worse hospital with not so great news We are happy and blessed to have found Driving MBA. Learning the vital lessons on road safety and the do's and don't while operating a vehicle – is going to be with your teenager for life. The team at Driving MBA truly take the time to ensure they deliver on these critical lessons to your child. I was truly impressed with the quality of their lessons, the responsibilities of driving class (theoretical), their simulation labs and the on-road instructions. Their instructors are ALL truly amazing, every one of them. They making the learning a lot of fun. The experience from the time we called in to enroll, all the way thru a few months later when our child got his on-road test completed – was above-par. Driving MBA exceeded our expectations. Yes, there are other, perhaps cheaper driving school around the valley. But, if you are truly vested in teaching your child the good habits and lessons of being on the road – look no further! This was a great decision for our daughter. The day she recevied her permit we went out driving and she was driving good until we got home and drove through the garage door. She was terrified. She would not even talk about driving school for fear of hurting the instructor. It took us a couple of months to get her to look at driving schools on line. She decided to sign up with DrivingMBA. Best choice ever! She still did not drive much as she was doing the simulators classes. But after her first on the road drive she was ready to go. She has become very confident driver. Rude staff was very highly and continuously disrespected by one staff member in particular, dealt with racism from other students. Administration is highly desperate for enrollment, don’t even waste your money here. I only lasted my first semester of college here and transferred out immediately afterwards. You can definitely find better opportunities elsewhere, the residence hall doesn’t create much of a community connected to campus, and you hear a lot of noise by other residents at all hours, and the rooms are way smaller than the usual college dorm room. 21 years ago I took an EMT re-certification course at Phoenix College. Last week (July/2013) my former land lady forwarded a letter from the Community College district. I have not lived at this home in over 20 years and they addressed it to my maiden name. The letter said I owed $57 and I over 180 days late in paying them. The letter did not even say specifically what the charge was for. It gave numerous examples as to what it might be, but not specifically what I may have done or did not do to warrant the fee. I only ever took one class at any Phoenix area college and this was it. I went away for college in California. I do not recall any parking ticket, I never used their library. I paid my fees before the class started. So, I had no idea what it could be. I thought there had to be a mistake. I called them and they first had to go to an old computer system because it had been so long since I went there. Sure enough the lady on the phone said it was me. I asked to speak to someone higher up and she passed me alone to someone else. When I spoke to the supervisor. She was incredibly rude. I said there has to be a statue of limitations on this and she claimed no. I told her I would not pay it and she said "the taxpayers of Arizona deserve to have their $57." How about the taxpayers of Arizona getting their money 21 years ago? How about the taxpayers of Arizona being upset that the cost in time and effort spent on such a ridiculously small amount is greater than the $57 they may ever get from me. She still could not even tell me what I did or did not do. She said it was so old it was on microfiche and wanted me to hold on for 15 minutes or so for her to dig it out. I told her no I would not wait and good luck tracking me down as you have my maiden name, an old old address and I don't even live in Arizona. So, I hung up. This is by far the most shameful display of government waste I have personally ever experienced.Dodger Man

Maricopa Community College is one of the worst institutions I've ever dealt with! 1. They have the lack of administrative support for students trying to enroll. If you're new to their system they do not provide any technical support whatsoever. And I mean a real person working with you face to face. Instead we have these overly worked employees who treat new students like they are such an inconvenience. 2. I have been dropped from my classes due to not paying my tuition within 3 days of enrolling into these classes!!!! Well let's see, I applied on Thursday evening "after school hours." Then Friday the campus was closed when I tried to call to inquire about my financial aid. SO, now it's Sunday and some how I'm magically dropped from these classes! WHAT THE HELL! I have financial aid, and instead of calling or trying to reach out before doing so, they just send you an email letting you know "oh, you're no longer enrolled in this class." But then giving me a heads up that I may still have to pay if they dropped me close to the start of the classes. MARICOPA COMMUNITY COLLEGES, HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO PAY WHEN YOU'RE CLOSED??? THEN YOU HAVE THE ODASITY TO THREATEN TO STILL CHARGE ME AFTER NOT EVEN COMMUNICATING THERE WAS A PROBLEM IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! It's amazing, we shove down everyone's throat that education is important. YET, there is such a lack in support and communication within this industry. There is no longer a care for people to actually learn, we are all just $$$ to institutions such as this. How do you expect people to better themselves, their community or even their country when you cannot even provide them with the necessary steps to do so?Aaron Backus

I came by the office to pick up an item but no one opened the door. I peeked through the door and saw a female security guard sitting at the desk on her phone. I gently knocked but she did not open the door. I had to wait outside for 20 minutes until the receptionist came back and let me in. The package was on the the security guard's desk. It was so rude and unprofessional for her to just be sitting there on her phone and I wasn't even greeted when I went in or left. This experience has ruined how I view this company and I am disappointed that they employ people that cannot do the bare minimum such as opening a door.Linda Johnson

Just visiting to get my daughter moved in for her first year. Spent the day walking around the campus. It is a nice walk with a light rain. Not too hot today. Lots of students, lots of building. The student union is fast food central with all the popular eateries present. Communication with parents could use some improvement. We expected to attend some sessions with my daughter but once we arrived we were informed it was for students only. Closing out the evening watching the marching band in their first public performance. My daughter loves the campus and is looking forward to the start of classes next week.Stacey Brewer

Went to football game and had lots of fun. But I was surprised when I found out the hard way that the concession stands don't take cash. They only take cards. It made it hard because we took cash. Luckily it was a night game because we wouldn't have been able to sit in the sun without water. Also lots of people had to go back to their cars and leave their purses and bags. The Arizona Sands Club is so wonderful. The atmosphere is second to none and the food is phenomenal. Chef Hogg is a master of his trade. I've never had a bad meal here. Worst service ever. First it took me 5 hours on hold(tried multiple times in two days) to get to speak to someone. Just to find out that ASU doesn’t notify you when you have a bill coming up or amount due, till the last date and due date. Obviously they like to collect the late fees. “It’s students responsibility to keep an eye on it”, yea sure, then don’t pretend like you care about your students. Won’t be enrolling in any classes no more with this school. The whole experience with this school was mediocre, from financial aid support, to coaching and Academic advisers. People who were in these roles were constantly changing. I would constantly get phone calls from academic advisor, before ever notifying me via e mail or message. They can’t help you with simple things like editing your resume or finding and internship. They absolutely did nothing, and the classes are waste of time and money, most of the classes I took could’ve been a 10 min YouTube video. Don’t waste your time or resources on ASU. This university consistently shows they only care about money and not the students. I have two full-time kids attending. The financial aid department lacks professionalism, follow-up, and follow-through. We have experienced this two years in a row. We did financial aid months in advance and my kids are trying to start and are still not financially cleared. We spend hours on hold day after day and get hung up on, live chats disconnected, and when you get a hold of someone they are rude and do not take action. They make millions in profits and are understaffed and hire people that don’t care about students. It is funny how private colleges are held accountable for job placement and graduation rates. They also provide quality customer service. State funded schools don’t have to report on job placement and their retention rates are horrific and they priced zero customer service…going to drop this joke of a place and find a good private school.Rodney Fitzsimmons

Really nice campus, a lot of expansion and improvement construction has happened over the past 10 years. It is a little hard to access certain areas without at least a little walk. Having a bike to get around campus is really helpful. if you’re visiting town I’d recommend visiting campus while you’re here, plenty to see and a lot to experience in the area.Cameron Baker
