I graduated in Food Science at Colorado State in 2011. The education in the classroom and in life that I received while I attended university was life changing. I met some of the best people I have had in my life and I pursued my love for nutrition and food science while I was there. My degree opened up many doors for me in my career in the brewing industry and at the time the undergrad brewing course was one of the only ones in the country. I am so glad I attended CSU and I can say without a doubt my life and career would not be the same had I not gone here. I am still a season ticket holder and while I miss the old stadium, having a beautiful new stadium on campus is pretty nice! Go Rams!Jeremy Janus

My daughter and I visited the campus as it currently ranks number 3 for Veterinary Medicine. The staff was genuine, sincere and gracious. They setup one on one meetings to make the visit extremely personal. They appeared to have the students best interest at heart and even supplied a full day parking pass. The facilities appeared updated and state of the art. They were heads and shoulders above our visit at Texas aTm. The only prevention of a five star rating was partially our fault as we were unable to get a tour of the school of medicine.Andy Benavidez

I have studied in here as an international student for one year, but now I transfer to another college. The main reason is the reputation of the CSU college of business. The employment rate of international students after they graduation is so low, and I rarely find one get even an internship. Although there are lots of nice people live here, you get almost nothing to do in this dull town besides hiking or playing with your dogs.王信

I wish I could give this school ZERO stars. Some teachers press play on a recorded lecture during our "class," and thats how we learn. Other teachers read verbatim off of the slides. There is only one competent teacher – Mary Castang, but she only teaches the begining nursing classes. The teachers were very unprofessional and often didnt know answers to students questions. They are very power hungry, and will get in arguments with students who find mistakes or have questions about the material/books. The books are written by regis professors – an obvious conflict of interest and are required for the class. The clinical instructors are VERY untrustworthy, and will cover their back in an instant, and put the students at risk. Even though they are supposed to protect students, and teach them during clinical. The dean for the nursing school terrible, and should really be looked into. She claims to care about the students well being and wants them to suceed. Of course this all happens virtually or in a big lecture hall in front of all the students. When met with individually she acted as if she was listening and responded with a gereic response she probably tells all students/ has a list and chooses one that matches what the student says –> all she had to say was "I dont care," and literally reapeated that after I tried to explain. All very degrading and emotionally traumatizing when nurses in school are already loaded with busy work from class, and clinical work assigned by the clinical instructor and from the class teacher. Lisa Zenoni comes off as the sweetest lady during orientation, and seems super supportive of students succeeding. After school starts shes very passive aggressive, and gets very defensive when she is confronted about being wrong. All in all, if admitted to the nursing program, be aware of every rules in the student guide, and dont follow the directions of the clinical instuctors as those rules dont match the regis rules and those are grounds for dismissal. Understand the teachers and how they teach and be ready to teach yourself. As for the students, the younger students who went throught the regis college are very rude to the transfer students and try to get them in trouble due to the fact that theu are usually smarter, do really well in all the classes, and are very motivated. Be very careful where trust is,placed as it is easilt used to get students in trouble.maria trick

Disappointment at every turn. I'm a student at Regis, was using my GI Bill here. I've seen a lot of my classmates (BS Computer Science) not able to find the classes offered needed to graduate on schedule. The course offerings are pretty sporadic, graduating on time is unlikely. I was pursuing a certificate in Information Systems Security along with a BS in Computer Science, but the Advanced Unix course that was required for the certificate is offered once a year and often doesn't even run. Now the certificate has been withdrawn. The advisors are helpless. The closer you get to graduation, the harder it is to find the classes you need. I have been advising my veteran friends to attend other schools. The professors here are top notch. They are the only reason I can give Regis two starts instead of one.Zach Zachareas

If you don't already have a job in the computer programming world, do not bother going to Regis through their online computer science degree program. The program has many errors in both the content, the instructions, and even in the grading of assignments. The cost of their program is incredibly expensive, unacceptably so with the errors they have in their own coursework. You also spend all of your time reading and teaching yourself since there are little to no videos available. This is fine if you have experience in the field already or are fine with reading a textbook, but if you are looking for someone to actually teach you this is not the location you want to go. Pros: I like Colorado College, and the block plan and small intimate class size really intrigued me into coming here, even though I'm not a native Coloradan. It's definitely a great location if you love the outdoors and a good four seasons of weather. Those are the main reasons I chose this school. I quickly learned that I could fit in here! Additionally, I love CC's approaches to learning such as their sustainability agreement and anti racist approach. They're even starting to pick up on mental health which everyone can agree is very important nowadays. The block plan is a great way to learn content, especially if balancing multiple semester classes at once doesn't seem desirable to you. If that is the case, consider this school, since there's only about less than 10 schools on the Block Plan. Overall, I'd give CC as a whole 5 out of 5 stars, and I hope you consider attending! Beautiful area to walk through and enjoy the trees and the grass. be aware that they are currently requiring masks anywhere on campus so even walking around outside you'll need a mask. The school is by far the worst I've ever been to. Started off fall of 2021 with accomodation for disability. My FAFSA was submitted incorrectly edited twice by the admin, one who had not a clue what was going on, my advisor starting off was late for appts and didn't even tell me the half of how to do anything on campus much less how to get around on the website, he assumed many things that I knew as well. Come time to start the semester and only 1 professor of 4 submits books to the library and the library doesn't have all of them. So I order them and by the time week 4 starts everything is just getting settled. Fast forward to spring, once again no submissions of text books by any professors. Due to my disability accomodations, I'm supposed to submit receipts for my books 4-6weeks out, hard to do this when professors aren't submitting. Had a death in the family and then covid twice and was told the same thing every other student was told and the office of the president told me to go back to the dsrc and to get new accomodations. These accomodations were originally set by the dsrc and were determined to be reasonable. This administration is clearly not equipped to handle most things and offers no recourse for students. Along with this CSU-Pueblo supports the discrimination of disabled students and even allows it within the Hassan School of Business. If you can, attend another school near Pueblo like UCCS, etc..Timothy Fleenor

Graduated from this college in 2016. Program was not an issue at the time and professors ranged from good to decent. However, cost was outrageous. I paid out of state tuition even though I had a Colorado physical address due to living with a parent, but my license was out of state. So I paid double cause of my driver's license. And like one reviewer has stated, degree does not equal experience; so no one will hire me in my career field because I have zero experience in the field, despite meeting the degree qualifications…. even for entry level positions. Waste of money. Don't attend college, get the experience in your career path first. You'll get farther than spending thousands on book knowledge you can learn on your own.Katie

Very rude staff members. I'm still new at school and when I ask could I use the library was told I wasn't allowed because I was only enrolled into 9 credit hrs. Then dealing with Teresa from the bookstore very rude. I bought brand new books for almost $500 and was told they only would offer me $30 for my $253 book that they resale at $190 used. When asking questions she got real rude and belittling making me feel stupid because I wanted to ask questions. This school has not made it easy still being a fresh student who has no idea how this works. Very rude and misleading!!!!!! Wish i could cancel every penny I spent and transfer!!! Arguably the best study area and building on campus. It really has nice vibes and they really do their best to make it feel like a professional work environment. They do a good job at it too. There is a coffee shop on in the Rustandy entrance and it has really good corporate vibes. There's conference centers and all the students throw around all sorts of financial jargon. I LOVE LOVE LOVE working at Pima in COS! After 30 years in general practice, I am so happy to share my experiences and make new memories with the students and staff. The students are so amazing that I get sad when then leave! Many of them keep in touch and visit when they are nearby or in town. People that I meet in the veterinary field (and the human medical field for that matter) are excited to tell me all about the incredibly talented Vet Techs and Vet Assistant students that have landed at their location after attending Pima. They are asking me to KEEP THEM COMING!! The leadership is supportive and approachable. They make a great effort to celebrate and show appreciation for the students and the instructors throughout the year. The CC bookstore is decent as far as college stores go. A selection of CC-branded clothing and items, plus office supplies, sundry items, snacks, and books. At the time of this writing, they're run by Barnes and Noble, so that's a nice benefit. Prices at the bookstore seem to run about the same as you'd find at other bookstores. Their clearance deals are decent, when they have them on clothing. I've picked up a couple sweatshirts over the years, and once, I picked up a whole bunch of deodorant, body wash, and office supplies for really cheap at one clearance sale. The clerks are helpful, but not overzealous as you find at some stores, in my experience. If you need help, ask and they do what they can, but they leave you alone otherwise.Weston Taylor

Perhaps I'm a little biased, but I have to tell you that being a student of Webster, twice, allows for the appreciation of the instructors. Let me elaborate. The instructors come teach after a long day at their day job. That day job happens to be in the industry they are teaching the students. Most of them only reference the books and provide a lot of real-world experience and relevance. The hours start at 5:30 and you only attend once a week per class (so, twice if you have two classes). As a non profit school, they can afford to keep their prices at a fraction of the other schools all the while providing a top tier education.John Lee

I got my bachelor's degree at NAU Centennial, Colorado in 2018. It was mixture of good and bad. We had school teacher that was super rude and reading slides. I’m am currently in my last year at MSU and I am going to be graduating with nothing but resentment and hatred towards this university. You are constantly belittled with the political opinions of the administration’s, sending you useless emails and phone calls on their political views. The fees within the university are confusing and almost impossible to understand/find information about. If you have classes on campus you pay for parking every day (currently around 5-7$ depending on where you park) which means you are gonna be paying around 500$ a semester just in parking. MSU has no regard for the safety of their students refusing to close campus even when other school districts/ universities in the area do for bad weather or threats (Sol Pais threat). The overall academics of the school are average with most of the class sizes, professor ratings and knowledge, and degrees being pretty good. Then there is Student Success Center that holds the admission and financial aid for the university. I have not had one single semester since entering this university were some problem has not arisen with financial aid (forms that they have lost, slow processing speed, inaccurate dispersement dates) so if you are paying for college with any type of loans be prepared for your loans to be delayed and mismanaged for about a month or sometimes two. The campus itself is quite pretty being in the heart of Denver however it does bring a lot of traffic from Denver as well so there is a police reporting an incident almost ever other week so I’d be cautious at taking night classes. Along with all this, in the middle of the COVID pandemic MSU has raised their tuition meaning that you will be paying more for no in person classes, never seeing/ using the campus or amenities (which by the way you pay for also in fees) , and some professors who barely know how to use a computer. In the end this is what I’d say about MSU Pro: Still cheaper then CSU and CU Pretty but somewhat dangerous campus Close to Denver Average academics Con: Terrible administration Terrible management Bad parking and parking cost Hidden/ confusing fees If I could start over I would have spent the more money for a well run university CSU, CU, UCCS, UNC or save a bunch of money and going to ACC Hope this helps everyone understand what you are walking into.Eric Robinson

60% of professors are good, the other 40% are nothing compared to my high school teachers (Cherry Creek HS). That’s sad. 75% of staff need to go to the 60% of professors that are incredible and get some common sense and etiquette. Literally act like little prepubescent teens. I had a staff member I have never even met In my life email me about some weird opinion she had of me. You’re a grown woman and you act like this? Were you raised in a barn? Staff act like this at a university and they wonder why student engagement is down? Studies have shown a direct correlation. If you are looking into moving to Colorado like most of the US right now, do NOT come to this university. There are much better colleges in this state that are a better bang for you buck. This college is growing too fast for its own good and the students are the ones who must take the blow. I am at senior level now and have been lied to by more than one advisor in regards to which classes I need to be taking in order to graduate. I have spoken with the chair of the accounting department to have my situation corrected and the best excuse that he can come up with is that he can't bend the rules for any student. Mind you that all I have done was listen to the accounting advising department to have them schedule my classes. YOU CANNOT TRUST ANY ADVISOR IN THIS INSTITUTION! So instead of being able to graduate in the spring, I will have to push out my graduation a year. It's like I'm being punished for listening to the advising department when its their job to help students stay on track to graduate. I usually don't write reviews but I had to speak out on behalf of how I was treated. If you plan on going here, you must ask at least three people before you make any decision. Went to school here for electrical engineering but got an internship with the civil engineering department. The internship ended up being a joke ran by a man who was very petty. When I tried to talk to the head of the civil engineering department he ended up being equally as petty. It soured my idea of what an engineer should be. Now I am 100k in debt and I despise engineering. They are also very good at losing paperwork at the bursar's office and financial aid office. The one good thing was working for the school in the machine shop. I learned a lot from the people in that area and they seemed to be the only people with any sense in the whole building. They also never had the supplies needed for the labs. A summary of a day in class at UCD was a quick class where you really didn't learn anything and you would go home and teach yourself. There really was no point in going to class. If one did graduate they may use 5% of what was taught in school in their career. With the abundant access to data in today's society, college is pretty much out of date and irrelevant at this point.Denny Dunn

I enjoy the institution, the professors are great but their parking garages are a disaster and it makes no sense to charge students over $500 per semester for a “full -time” gold parking pass like they’re about to get exclusive access to certain parking garages and find parking super easily. You’re not. It’s a battle to find parking especially in the Tivoli garage during certain times which is classified as a “gold passport” garage. Too many students are paying for parking on their own without passports and using the garages that are promised to people who buy passes. It’s not fair and also some classrooms seem to have a few maintanence issues. Other than that it’s a pretty cool campus but I also don’t understand how there are classrooms with over 30 people in a tiny little 400 square foot room if that lol get this fixed we pay way too much money as students to deal with things like this.mgmt (Sam)

It's difficult to describe how utterly terrible this institution is at communication and technology. It's as laughable as it is frustrating. The staff, namely admissions, were ineffective, uninformed, slow, unresponsive, and occasionally deliberately obstructive. The IT department is a disaster and even included a complimentary data breach! The professors I had (admittedly only two) were nice enough, but the logistics were particularly clunky. Save yourself money and headache and go to Metro. It's cheaper, the admissions and onboarding were much simpler, the departments were helpful and responsive, and with two exceptions, the professors were very good.Caleb Efta

The building and the faculty are nice but don't judge a book (or university) by its cover. Once you get into the technical classes that require students to use Remote Console Virtual Machines which simulate actual virtual machines such as Linux or Security Onion, students and buyers beware. If you are pursuing a Master of Computer Science of any kinds, I highly recommend that you look somewhere else. I went through Regis University's MSIA program and the technology and Remote Console Virtual Machines that are required for students to use never worked for me. This is true both for Regis University's online and in-person classes from my experience as a graduate student. I wrote an appeal for each class which delayed my graduation date. If I'm paying more than $2,000 for a class plus a $75 technology fee to use the university's virtual machines, I expect everything to work. If you go here, you should expect nothing less either as a student. In addition, Regis University does not help its students find internships or jobs once they are nearing graduation. That contrasts with the university where I received my undergraduate degree which is also in the Denver Metro Area which helped its students find internships and jobs. If you are looking to go somewhere where everything on the surface is nice this is place for you; but if you want to actually learn, graduate with a masters degree in a technical field, and have a university that will use its connections to help you land your first job in the new field which you studied for I highly recommend that you look somewhere else.penetrationtest

I agree with the other reviewer from my experience with Regis University's graduate program. The tools did not work for me that the university required students to use in their classes and most professors did not put in the time to help students resolve technical issues which wasted my time and money in Regis University's graduate program. Regis did not help me find a job so I was underemployed for more than six months. I recommend you look into modern alternatives like Cybrary, Linux Academy, SecureSet or other options instead of attending a traditional graduate program which costs more merely to get a piece of paper called a diploma (which I still have not received by the way). Free coffee does not make up for Regis University's incompetence. I would also be cautious about attending a university which has a cybersecurity program and says to that it takes IT Security seriously but was the victim of a cyberattack in August 2019.James

UCCS is a great school and best bang for your buck. Campus is nice and will continue to improve as construction finishes up. While the Freshmen and Sophomore classes are sometimes pretty large (usually the Science classes for me, others were pretty small), your Junior and Senior level classes are extremely small which allows you to connect with not only the instructors but students as well, which is often a problem in large classes. Graduating in May and do not regret my decision to come here. A few tips of advise: – Parking does SUCK, it may improve next year with the new parking garage. Either live on campus, come early, or park in the parking lot away from the campus and get a shuttle, no other way around it until they figure out a long term solution. – Pay attention to your student portal when it comes to Financial Aid. Sometimes things may come up out of the blue without your knowledge. Also, it is best to talk to an ACTUAL staff member at Financial Aid. No offense to the student employees, they sometimes do not know what they are talking about and just assume things which can sometimes cause problems, do yourself a favor and talk to an actual staff member to get the best information or solution regarding a problem. – Finally, if you do stay on campus, Summit Village, the Freshmen dorms, seems to be very active given the impression I have seen from it. On the other hand, Alpine Village is not very active in the social aspect. Hope you have good roommates and you should be set for the year, otherwise get involved with something because Alpine Village is like an actual apartment community, little to no interaction with one another.Kyle Walker

I had a really good experience at UCCS getting my BSME. Many of the engineering professors are excellent teachers and also have had real world experience that is valuable for students to hear about. The class sizes in engineering classes were pretty small and you almost always have good access to your teachers to ask questions and make sure you can absorb the material. The tuition was pretty reasonable when I was in school there up until 2012, but I understand it has been increasing rapidly. On the down side this schools wants to deny that it is a commuter school and therefore does not making parking ease a priority, which is a big negative when you have to deal with it every single day, sometimes multiple times a day. The passes are expensive, you aren't guaranteed a spot, traffic is a mad dash for the last remaining far away spots. UCCS should really invest more in large parking structures. It also seems like they might be putting too much money and effort into odd, not very helpful activities and services when they should be focusing more on quality of education and ease of access for their students.Keagen C

Some teachers are awesome and other teachers are horrible that don’t want to help you. Overall, students are also rude and for some reason believe they are better than everyone else. Oh and the staff is horrible and unprofessional. Not to mention that they charged me two payments in one month when I specifically asked when signing up for payments if they were going to charge me twice and they said no which REALLY messed up my methods of organizing my bills. When I asked about it they took forever to answer me and haven’t gotten back to me on refunding it as promised. Hate it. Never going back and never should have gone there. What an impressive place! Not just the beauty and the organization of it, but the respect for the academy and the respect for the service is present. The size of the grounds is immense, and we only stayed on the roads, not having time to go on any of the walking paths. Even though the chapel is currently closed, we still learned a lot through the visitor's center, and the video they showed was informative as well. Went on a tour July 4th weekend so there were not many athletes around, just campers, We did get a discount on the tour that was ably led by an Olympic Triathlete (her side gig?). She was super knowledgeable and friendly. The facilities themselves were less advanced and impressive that I expected, but the tour was interesting and informative. We got to see the weight room, shooting range, PT/health center, wrestling, and swimming venues. Worth a stop if you are a sports or Olympics fan. There is a gift shop and the stuff there is incredibly overpriced. Note: masks are required on the tour, even outdoors (?) and even when there are no athletes around. Seemed unnecessary, but everyone complied. It did make the tour guide hard to understand, especially since we had such a large group.David Costanza

I enjoyed the experience but the tour I received just felt like the guide picked up the gig at the last moment on their way to lunch and kinda put half effort into it. It felt like we mainly walked outside and looked at the facades with a, "we can't go in there but this is what goes on in there" statement. We were lucky enough to see a couple olympians training while we were there (katie ledecky). It overall felt like it should have been a donation entry. The tour conveniently ended at the pro shop where they attempt to charge you $75 for a plain shirt with the USA logo, $125 for a plain duffle bag with the USA logo, etc. Way Way Way too expensive for a gift shop.surgioramon

We went on the bronze tour. It took about 2 hours, and we were able to see the conditioning space, rehabilitation center, pool, basketball court, wrestling and boxing rooms, and shooting range. I haven’t visited the OTC since early 2013 and I’m so impressed with how different the facilities are now! Amelia Moore was our tour guide and she facilitated an incredibly captivating, joyous, and entertaining tour full of fun facts and little stories. Highly recommend! ***Google maps took us to the employee and athlete entrance – the entrance for visitors is a left turn at the light before google will tell you to turn, if you are coming from Platte ave.A.D.

As a Teacher at Doherty HS and a public school teacher for 20 years, I believe I can offer a fair and useful perspective for students or parents considering enrollment at DHS. Doherty is an excellent school for those students who are self-motivated and strive to excel. Further, DHS endeavors to connect with those students who struggle academically by providing a non-traditional path to a diploma. Parents are greatly pleased with the extent DHS is willing to work with their kids to foster success. My perceptions, based on what I have seen over the past 7 years at DHS, are that students benefit immeasurably from their involvement at DHS. They develop academic, social, and life skills that serve them well after receiving their diploma. Students are respectful of each other and their teachers. Views outside of the mainstream, likewise, are listened to with respect, and bullying is disdained by the students. Debilitating drug use (meth, heroine, etc.) is very rare, although many students believe the use of marijuana is okay. Alcohol use is not a huge problem here. As a parent, I would consider DHS far better than most schools regarding substance abuse. Fights are unusual for a school this size, perhaps 10-15 minor fights per year without serious injuries or weapons (as far as I know). We have been highly successful in Volleyball, Auto Tech, Mock Trial, Band, FBLA and basketball, yet, many athletes are not as committed as I have seen at other schools (particularly in Louisiana). All things considered, I would enthusiastically recommend DHS as a quality place to develop during these crucial HS years. Still, the greatest aspect of a student’s success and happiness rests with their own attitude, desire, and skills.Joseph Rennier

This hotel is by far the worst I've ever stayed at. First off, they don't even have beds. All they have is chairs with table tops but they don't allow you to have anything on them besides their paperwork. Second, the parking is horrendous. There were no vallet and the walk from the lower parking lot with my bag is ridiculously long. Once inside the bell hops never once offered to help me with a bag. They only sat and stared at me and talked with other guests. Room service was a joke, they never garuneteed they had anything on the menu and you had to wait in line and just hope you got some random decent food. I shared a room with 25+ other people. The wifi was horrible and would block websites from me when I needed to get work done. All of the other guests were very rude and would scream very loudly for no reason also stopping in the middle of the halls and made me have to take long ways around to my room. The gym and pool were the only good parts about this hotel. However the personal trainer was very rude. The pool had a diving board thoughBrendon Hurlbert

This school has many problems to begun with so for the people that want to go to this school go with a risk. The principal is never in school because he says that hes "too busy woth work" even though ive seen him wondering around doing nothing but staring into space there are many parents that wnat to talk to him but for that u have to make an appointment becuase hes too busy. And sence hes not there the new dean named Nathaly Santin is kicking many students out. Shes making excuses about students not having good grades and being absent in every class because she says she sees many students go to the store instead of school. Shes kickung students out because there apperently isnt much room for new students that want to enroll in this school. She lies when she says that she gonna help u with any work missing or absentses. There are the teacher's that dont care about their students, they either like u and care or hate u and bully u. So parents abd students if u still want to go to this school go at ur own risk.Furry Freind
