A good school where you get out what you put in. Many trains stop within walking distance and buses as well. Just like any college, depending on your major, you will find good and bad professors. So always make use of the rate my professor website. I had a very pleasant experience. The administration was more competent than other schools I went to and my issues were always solved within a reasonable amount of time. The facilities I had to use for my major were in even better condition compared to some four year schools. The wifi coverage was good. Plenty of cafeterias with the best one being in the E building. Plenty of food trucks with different types of foods. Lots of seating areas with electrical ports. The class scheduling was workable with enough sections to fit almost everyone. Can't speak for any other major but it felt like that overall. They are always hiring new adjuncts so it's not the same professor teaching that one section you need all the time that everyone says is horrible. Always stay on top of your things if you want to have them resolved quickly. That's the part you play in your college years. The hand holding stops after High School. All I can say is, relax a little and have some fun. At the end of the day grades won't show the strength of your character after all is said and done.Mounia B

It seems like professors like the one I got Professor Arnold who acts likes she is going through the motions and don't there . i felt I waste my time and money which I paid out of pocket in her class and is thinking about leaving the college. She is one of the worst teachers/professors i ever had . I think cause it a community college a lot of them are mad cause they can't teach in a four year college through out of the community colleges in NY LaGuardia is the best . That being said she is the third professors that I had that sleeps walks through their class and I had another one that did something that weren't cool and I didn't show up for her class and never got an apology from her. Im currently in my last year at LaGuardia (majoring in business) and i have to say the Business department is full of AMAZING professors. Classes are really easy (most of them except accounting unless you're good at it) and the students are cool. I, personally, never talked to anyone or made any friends because I'm not an outgoing person. The school is constantly going under renovations and they just finished the new library and it looks AMAZING, as if it was a library from an ivy league. Food isn't that great but what do you expect, its school food [not free of course]. The only reason ppl go here and are willing to grossly pay for an education is the location. I went to school here and will say it is far overpriced for the education you are given. Some staff are great and really care about the education they are providing. Others just read off a powerpoint and have no interest except for a paycheck. Pace is expensive, doesn't help the students getting internships and when the students get one on their own, Pace takes the credit. After graduating, the students don't get a job. One of their alumni just got a good job and due to she owes money, they don't give her transcripts and are retaining her title. Is not possible for Pace to help when the students really need help? This is a good school. However, the quality is almost identical to the CUNY school I attended before coming here that costed significantly less. Additionally, the lack of diversity (granted, because of how this is a private school) is also lacking. At one time, the tuition for a full-time evening student was less than that for daytime, which made sense since there was no access to many of the daytime nine-to-five services. If I could, I would easily give York a ZERO RATING! NOTHING against the professors I’ve come across, but the school, policy and registrar/bursar staff and policy are ridiculous. I have been charged, during the pandemic I might add FULL. I clearly withdrew from summer classes and was literally ONE day passed the 100% refund date. After, I spoke continuously with bursar who kept sending me back to registrar. ALL professors assisted in submitting documentation showing I DID NOT CONTINUE in the ONLINE courses. Although I submitted required, and accurate paperwork documenting the WHY I could not complete the summer session, this greedy school is charging me ONE HUNDRED PERCENT for courses that their own records reflect that u withdrew from. Again, let me reiterate this was at the time of a Pandemic. I am now not able to register or do anything until this balance is paid. I think this school is deplorable, too much of the staff is unprofessional and not helpful At all! They’re dismissive and there is never any considerations or flexibility offered. If you can, avoid this school. Majority of the staff are unprofessional, lazy and do not seem to take their job seriously. Imagine emailing your professor and days, or even up to week plus passes by with no response. Some professors to avoid, Darrell Morris- extremely unprofessional acts as if he's paying us to be there and not the other way around. Lovely campus and easily seen from the street. The school is close to public transportation. The campus houses a high school and an elementary school. The grounds can use some work and some more public art installations. The cemetery is gated but plenty of history ardorns the head stones. The indoor exhibit of The Tuskegee Airmen is worth visiting the campus. The stundent art galley is the best. Ask security for accessibility for people with disabilities. Security at the gate will ask of I. D. He is very pleasant and awesome with directions. Most staff/faculty are helpful too. Better to get assistance from the more experienced staff. Just, no. I can't take it anymore. I've tried to explain my situation to this school multiple times, and I'm left to struggle on my own. I am starving, housing insecure, financially unstable, and unable to make ot to class or properly study because of financial struggle, inability to be alone a place quiet to study because they won't house, and depression. In the end they want to fail you out so you can pay them fees later, I guarantee. If you are hungry, you can find all types of food around the building. It has 26000 student. It also has a big cafeteria, big library, big quiet study place for study and a lot more . I, like yourself most likely came from a place most call “less fortunate” or “impoverished” and looking for a new opportunity I stumbled across Berk through influence of my father who encouraged me to join a trade. My experience at Berk taught me a lot about myself and how far I’m willing to go for myself and my future self. Berk, like any education after High school is a classic case of “you get out of it what you make it.”. So of course experiences may vary. What I will tell you though is that they have some great people in there, that if they see you putting in the consist work; they’ll make sure you are eligible for your certification at the end of the course. Saying that from experience, there was somedays I didn’t want to go to class and it was the heart of the staff members calling me even on days I personally didn’t want them to that kept me going and kept me showing up to finish the course. I’ll conclude with this, if you are prepared to change your life not only for yourself but your loved ones today and years to come; Berk Business and Trade School can bring you at least one step closer to that. I graduated Berk Trade in October 2021 (Electrical). First I would say I was in the medical field for years . So that been said I walked into Berk Trade and Business School blind , didn’t have a clue on how I was going to do it but I knew I wanted a change of profession. I met with Miss. Judy and she gave me all the information I needed but I got discouraged because classes would of started days later. Miss Judy called me and said remember to show up on Monday for classes and I remember I said to her I don’t have everything I need to start but she said no worries the staff will help and they did just that. I can definitely say I was very nervous at first and thought that i made a big mistake because there were only 2 females in our class of 19 students . I graduated from Lincoln Tech in 2017 and now I have gone back for a refresher course! My experience at Lincoln Tech was great! I received numerous scholarships and was very well known amongst the instructors and staff! As long as you do what is expected of you you will do great! I have read many negative reviews on here about the school and staff you get what you put in to it like anything else! What I really liked is that you’re able to bring in your own vehicle and work on it! If you’re serious about going in to the field then all you need to do is pay attention, work hard and get your hands dirty and you will succeed here! Know matter what you’re always going to learn more in the field and that’s with any school I don’t care what anyone says that’s the truth! This school gets you prepared for the field as well as your ASEs! If you’re lucky enough you will have Mr. Lopez as one of your instructors he’s extremely knowledgeable since he was in the field for many years before he became an instructor. He will tell you stories of exactly what takes place out there in the real world of automotive! If I didn’t have a good experience I would not have asked to return for a refresher course and constantly visit! Read the reviews on this place if you plan on attending here for any trade most of the good ones are FAKE . The recruiting team that enroll you in are all scummy . They Literally rob you blind . All the equipment used for teaching are old some don’t even work . The teachers here some of them are good people a handful of them don’t really give a dam . I attended during Covid times and it was a complete waste of money the most of the time I was there was Online from the time I was in enrolled with 9 other students only 3 actually stuck around to the end and even they regretted it!! . This school is definitely not an NYS higher education approved facility and if you read most of the negative ads placed here you would realize it yourself. They will waste you time and money. This review is so long overdue. I don't know why I never thought of giving them a five star review. If I could give them 10 stars out of 5, I would. That's how awesome I think they are. The people at Premier Aptitude always go above and beyond. Not once did I or my kids ever feel like this place was trying to run a business (in the good way). I actually felt like I and everyone else was underpaying them for everything they have done for not just my kids, but everyone else's kids who pass through their doors. They gave my kids volunteer and job opportunities, experience, and life skills. They really treat everyone who goes to Premier like family. My kids were initially resistant to go just because they were a little traumatized by the other tutoring centers, but we were all pleasantly surprised after their first experience at Premier. My kids would always come back from class there and tell me about things they learned in class not just about math or science, but also tricks and strategies they learned from Mr. Paung, Calvin, and Lamont that were applicable in the real world. Premier also answered questions for the kids outside of the classroom 24/7 it seems and for FREE and even when they were out of town! I had no idea that they were providing so much free help to the kids. They truly are very kind, dedicated, warm people who really want the kids who pass through their doors to succeed. It's no wonder my kids were never willing to try other tutoring centers after going to Premier. My kids are both in college now and they told me that whenever they ask Calvin and Mr. Paung for help, those two still answer their questions for them for free. Hands down, one of the best tutoring centers in my opinion. I have been here for years now and Calvin is one of the nicest and most patient person you can meet. When you first go into a class, you automatically feel welcomed. He goes out of the way to introduce you to everyone and make it less awkward. I've sent all three of my kids to them and I don't know what their secret is, but my kids really enjoyed going and their learning attitudes changed after going also. Thanks so much to this Amazing driving school with an Excellent staff! From my 5 course that wasn't that boring! to my Driving lessons where I got to "finesse with Jess" this girl was Fantastic! Our first lesson we had a crazy ride to college point and her teaching methods had us there and back and me instantly feeling more confident, she used real world scenarios and helped me navigate it all through the drivers seat! The entire staff was always so friendly and welcoming they all really pumped you up and together gave me the confidence to say I WILL pass and I did! I purchased one of their packages which included 2 lessons, them handling the scheduling of the road test, the 5-hour pre-licensing course and access to their vehicle for the day of the road test. With the instructor’s knowledge and patience driving felt easy and I didn’t feel nervous behind the wheel! As a someone who is current Graduate, I highly recommend anyone who wants a career in the field of welding to stop wasting there time dreaming and join Apex Tech Combination Welding program. The department of welding succeeds in preparing its students with the fundamental building blocks to enter the workforce as a welder, It provides a well structured curriculum that gives it students the opportunity to explore all welding processes using machines that are state of the art, you will also learn how the different machines operate and trouble shoot on them preparing for real world scenarios. The school focuses on structural welding, but classes like blueprint reading emphasize on being able to measure, read welding symbols and fabricate. I am a veteran using the POST 9/11 G.I. Bill to attend the construction program at this school and it has been an outstanding experience. While attending the school, I have developed plumbing skills, electrician skills, as well as fine carpentry and rough work skills. I have also learned how to communicate with other people in the trades as well as how to work as part of a construction team. My experience here has established a foundation of skills and knowledge that I will continue to work on and develop for the rest of my life. I recommend this school to anyone who is looking to change their lives and do something great. I am Dennis Sterling graduating on March 3rd, 2022 from the Plumbing Day Program. It was an excellent learning experience from Plumbing Segment 1 through Plumbing Segment 6. I am currently working at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. This program will enable me to move up into the Plumbing and Maintenance Department. During my time in the school I was assisted and supported by all my Instructors, administrative staff including and not limited to: Mr. Prince, Mr. Luis Sepulveda, Mr. Henderson and other teaching staff. On the administrative side Ms. Yamona made me a better person and was responsible for me to remain and finish my program along with Ms. Albertha and Ms. Susan.
