UNM is an awesome university! I'm currently a junior and throughout my three years here UNM has provided me with a number of opportunities, friends, resources and life skills. The campus is gorgeous, at all times of the year! People on campus are always friendly and there's always a ton going on. Aside from the great atmosphere, the staff and professors are extremely nice and always willing to help. I came here with no major in mind and was able to explore with the help of my advisor until I figured it out. I was able to create the degree that I wanted through the liberal arts program and my focus areas have opened so many doors for me! UNM has also provided me with the opportunity to go on exchange to another University for a whole year at the same price for tuition, amazing! I will always be grateful for the knowledge and skills I've gained as well as all of the amazing friends and colleagues I've made! This is a nice large clean campus. The only bad thing is probably the bicycle theft. Even if you use ulock, there's high chance that it might get stolen. Duck pond is one the best places to chill. Architecture building library has the best view of Sandia mountains from campus. If you love to watch full moon, Johnson field is a good place!Khandoker Nuzhat Rafa Islam

I tried to enroll into this school last year and the service was superior. The school is clean and very large, it also has a lot of opportunities for students there. The entrance exam was well organized and the questions on them were understandable. The staff there is very nice and supportive. Unfortunately, I couldn't go, It wasn't that I didn't get accepted, I did, but it was the financial aid. It is not the school's fault and I'm fine with that. If I did go to this school, I would've loved it.crystal

This campus really is amazing when you get to walk around in it. The place feels like a college campus. I remember coming here for professional development trainings when I was a teacher at Menaul School. It is very cool that Albuquerque Academy opens its doors to the state competition for Destination Imagination in New Mexico each year.Warman Hall

Keep your expectations tempered as this is Albuquerque, and not a major art market, and you'll have a great time. Not huge, but not small, as there are galleries on three floors. The exhibitions are frequently lesser-known artists, but there's always something I like. I always leave having learned something. I highly recommend Pima Medical Institute for anyone that wants to succeed in the field of radiography. The instructors are very knowledgeable, friendly, and well respected in their profession, and the clinical and program directors are very helpful and are always there for you every step of the way. What sets Pima apart from other radiography programs, is that the students have the opportunity to gain clinical experience in special modalities, and they will even assist with job placement! Hello, graduate of the Class of 2022 Dental hygiene program here. As we were starting the program the covid shut down happened. The instructors and program director where very attentive to how they could make the program work. As much as we were adapting to school online, so were they. I personally felt the support from all instructors. As per clinic, I feel my skills evolved every semester and we are challenged to push ourselves more. I went through the LPN program last year in the height of Covid. It was challenging but the support from the teachers was great! They did their absolute best trying to figure things out and help us figure things out as well. This program is very hard work but the amount of effort you as a student, shows in your personal outcome. I studied the contractor school material in 2014 for my Texas Journeyman Electrician test and passed on first testing. Now 8 years later after much procrastination due to working 7 days a week years on end… I once again used the contractor school for my Texas Masters exam. I passed on my first testing ..yes it was hard, as are all things in life that require dedication of sweat blood and tears..but I recommend them to anyone seeking to excel their profession!Clay Cooper

Three months ago, when I first enrolled at Body and Brain, I was recovering from major back surgery that was slow to heal and left both of my legs slightly numb. Then came the virus which locked me down like everyone else. By the middle of March 2021, I was out of shape, lacked energy and had very little motivation to do anything. I selected Body and Brain because I had taken Tai Chi years ago and felt it was the best activity to regain strength in my body, particularly my lower back and legs. After three months of training, I have lost close to twenty pounds, decreased the numbness in my legs, and, best of all, Body and Brain addressed my lack of motivation and energy through very productive class time and workshops. Its been quite a few years since I have felt this integrated, this energized, this in control of my mind and body. I can't thank the two Masters that have instructed and supported me through the process: Master Hongik and Master Dan. Master Dan is great, he’s powerful, fun and light hearted. Their classes here combine physical exercises with energy/breathing awareness which has been extremely helpful in getting grounded into the body. This helps with overthinking, anxiety, and connecting with the self. I’ve done many types of classes, had many teachers of yoga, and this is the first that constantly emphasizes the importance of energy awareness. They wrap science, the physical body, and energy in perfect bites that are easily understandable and easy to integrate and remember. You’re exercising while learning and enhancing your inner well being. I have been taking classes at Body and Brain Yoga Tai Chi Cottonwood for several months. I had no idea what to expect from the classes. I am very happy to say it has been the most wonderful experience for me. The classes have been very beneficial for me both physically and mentally. I now have full range of motion in my right arm and no pain. Physically my health has improved, I am getting stronger and more flexible. The meditation part of the class is amazing. It relieves stress, provides mental clarity, total relaxation of body and mind. When class is over I feel so good. Master Shiwon is an exceptional teacher. He is very caring and provides easy to follow guidance. He is dedicated to his students welfare, he is the kind of teacher that encourages you through each movement. I had my first experience with a deep tissue massage with Tone Jackson and it was definitely worthwhile. I felt I was in good hands (literally) in a peaceful and beautiful atmosphere. My mind and body felt so relaxed afterwards. Tone asked relevant questions and followed through with my responses for a personalized touch. That is, I prefer a deep touch rather than a light touch. I must say that I love, and highly recommend Shockwave Defense!!! I now have my first child and my husband wanted me to take this class. I am thankful and sure glad I did because It's important to be able to protect myself and my family. I went in specifically for my concealed carry but much to my surprise I received more than that. By the end of the two days, I can honestly say I learned to be comfortable being uncomfortable. This class was not only informative it was so much fun!!! The way they teach is unlike anything I have ever experienced. Let’s just say they don’t beat around the bush or sugarcoat the world we live in. I learned that my safety and the safety of others may very well depend upon this responsibility. You don’t need to know how to fight or much about guns they cover it all and I wish it was a week-long because the day flew by which usually happens when you're having fun. Most important this class helped guide me in safely implementing firearms into my life which requires skills and if ultimately used to protect a life or my own, sound judgment. Can't say enough good things about this family oriented athletic center. My husband is an avid swimmer of their heated outdoor pool and insists on going a couple times a week. Even in the summer, some lanes are reserved for the swimmers. I'm partial to the cardio and weight room for rehab. My personal trainer, Daniel, is the most understanding and knowledgeable of trainers, will do anything to coordinate your schedule with routines that are not high pressure, but suitable to your abilities. Faith breaks it down through hands on exercises, personal experiences and if you’re like me, nerd out and get the brain science behind the communication 🤓 . I have taken courses with CMFA since last August and am now in the Masters' class, working the techniques and creating muscle memory. The basis in science is a fresh approach to looking at acting. I can't recommend the class more. Actors of all experience and training levels will find value in the CMFA to hone their craft in new ways that may have not been even on the Actor's radar. I remember walking down Jackson street on my way to the bank, and finding a sign that read "FREE KARATE" with a phone number printed right under a white silhouette of a man performing a flying sidekick. I have attended over a dozen martial arts studios in 5 different states (WA, TX, OK, NM, and AZ) and I can tell you that this school teaches lessons (balance of mind, body, and soul) which have helped me throughout several aspects of my life, from growing up in a broken family (perserverance), 8 years in the US Army (self-discipline), 3 years in the NM State Police (humility), and now even in a career in nursing (compassion). While other schools can help you physically, I have never had a school teach me as much spiritually or mentally as this school did. It has been some time since I have attended (I attended when Master Mokurai taught at a completely different building, before moving to this location, and before he was called Master Mokurai), but even now as a 30+ year old man I still think about my time here and if I ever go back to living in NM I would attend this school over any other. It saddens me when someone might have had a negative experience, they strive to make several negative reviews to impact this schools livelihood, and discredit what it has meant to so many students. I sincerely hope anyone who is reading these bad reviews will please take a second look, and consider being your own judge by trying it out for yourself.joshua jones

Julianna Kirwin Studio is a place I’ve witnessed over many years as its artist has continued to expand it. It’s a brilliant use of space in an historic neighborhood, in an historic building. The space reflects the artist Julianna Kirwin’s breadth of vision to pursue community-building through the sharing of her artistic practice. I have witnessed its use as artisan marketplace, as gallery show space, as kick-off spot for street art —2 lamppost shows spanning 8+street blocks! (I was a participant in the first one), using the sidewalk with doors to mount artworks, using the large ancient walls to paste up prints in the vernacular method of hanging signs, as hub for art in the surrounding neighborhood. Finally, during our pandemic safety measures, I experienced 2 and 3 person hands-on workshops learning block printing! Julianna shared her efficient, well-provisioned print shop machines pulled outdoors into functional patio. The gracious, enthusiastic attention of the artist made our experience memorable and delightful. To be there is to feel the power of artistic practice within a tradition of honoring place. My wife took a Paella cooking class at Los Altos church July 22, 2014. Not only was the kitchen not too nice to cook in, but the teacher was not pleasant at all or a good teacher. The finished Paella was not good at all. This was a really disappointing experience for her as there were several other cooking classes she wanted to take but they are all by this same teacher. Be sure to read the guidelines before going in and you will not have any issues every department hapartments has wonderful people there to answer your questions or help you with your needs.. I myself am actually disabled and go to school for for film on a scholarship for disabled individuals and I have had amazing support the entire way through Not only that but the Dean the entire staff is really great and now the campus has improved to the Overall fuel of the campus it's a nice place to be to hang out and and they have made plenty of spaces where students can actually be even when between classes or doing homework doing homework etc. There are a number of labs where you can use the latest technology and the latest software often So you really have many options and options and I would recommend CNM I graduated with 2 of my degrees and I am working on one more and I have been to UNM but CNN has much more intimate classes and not only that tleave that that I find the quality he is better as well Instead of quantity being focused on quality is focused on so you will have some amazing professors. Who definitely do not get paid enough for what they're doing in fact the entire staff really is underpaid for what they do but as far as everything with the campus goes I would recommend that I would recommend that I would recommend looking up the website so you know where you're going if you're looking for something in particular you'll be able to find that rather easily through the website and you can also chat with someone if you need to. You can find help with everything from Career advancement job place manic cetera to next Saturday to financial aid and so on. The new buildings and the additions and renovations to the other buildings at the main campus are top notch and I really loved being at the school I'm disappointed that disappointed that I have to move to a 4 year school it's been a honor.Rye Lu (edisiuS One)

I set up my classes almost 3 weeks in advance with an advisor. A week before classes were supposed to start (today) I called and talked to 3 seperate people. A man in the advisor office, a woman at the cashiers office, and a woman in the financial aid office. Each person confirmed my payments were set up and I was good to go for classes. I went on an out of state trip and came home to DOZENS of texts and emails saying my classes were getting dropped. I paid $50 to keep the classes, and I was still dropped from my classes. I called and talked to an advisor who said there was basically nothing they could do, and told me that a higher up would call me. Its been a week since then and I still havent heard anything, I still dont have my money back. Im heartbroken and distraught. Every time ive tried to call since speaking with the advisor, ive been hung up on every single time. CNM preaches inclusitivity, then excludes the disabled students. Absolutely ridiculous and im still fuming.SomeCryptid

Don’t go to this school if you’re trans. On their website there’s a name change request for trans students that doesn’t require paperwork, yet I’ve been running in circles for a week and getting zero progress. When I bring it up, no one in student services even knows what I’m talking about and IT had to have me lead them to the form. You would think that they added the form last week without telling anyone. I went to UNM last semester and the school let you change your own name within blackboard and it was updated within 24hours. The process at CNM is so difficult and ridiculous and the help services just transfer my call to other departments as if they don’t know who can handle the issue. After this semester I’m transferring back and staying at UNM.azul

So I emailed my academic advisor Lisa Hall and let her know that I had to go to ER because I was sick! Got no response! Its only been a week into classes. Went in last night to post into my discussions and low and behold I was withdrawn! Called and emailed all this morning and received no response as of yet. Did receive a nasty voicemail from Scott the director I called back and nothing. Going to the board of education on this and the BBB! This is such BS!
