I do not recommend this school to anyone. There was a lot of grade school style homework and a broad spectrum of effort put in by my professors. Most of my homework was distributed digitally by the respective text book's website — NOT the professor. This created a huge disconnect when discussing homework issues in class. It was frustrating knowing my professors were not curating our homework, rather, it was being outsourced by a subsidized textbook. Their job is to educate, but remember they are there to make a profit. I could not afford my bill so they sold my debt to a collection agency.J s

My first college experience was here and it wasn't a particularly good one. The building is nice with a very comfortable atmosphere, though the parking lot is a nightmare. There is not WiFi through the entire building, which is infuriating for a student with an on campus class that is also entirely on the internet. I feel like for the moment, the school is having a bad time transitioning to technology. Staff is ridiculously friendly and helpful, unexpected for a place in Gardner.Vertigo

Great school. but I think if we're paying $300.00 for a book and paying $8.00 on top of that for shipping a signature should be required from UPS and some type of insurance on it. I'll preface this review by saying I am a parent of a student nearing completion of 2 years at Assumption. The campus and facilities are well kept, safe, clean and relatively modern. Like any institution, the staff is a mixed bag. We've had several instances of communications going unanswered, requiring follow up before a response is given or otherwise not rising to the level of what you'd wish for, when committing your child and a high level of financial support to any business. I'll also say that in the time of covid, things are more complicated for all businesses and families, not just Assumption. That said, when circumstances are difficult, authentic character is revealed. After returning to campus for a 'hybrid' semester, the kids who chose to try and have a semblance of normal college life, have been gravely disappointed. The protocols are strictly enforced, and most people (including me) understand they are a necessary fact of life today. Abiding by social distancing, masks, twice weekly testing and other processes must be embraced and I have no qualms with that stance. That said, Assumption has a policy disallowing all resident students from leaving campus, except in the most narrow of circumstances. Even doctor visits have been challenging for students and have required parental intervention before being approved. The mental health of many are suffering due to this policy. All the while, staff, administrators, vendors, security and all commuting students are allowed to come and go at will on a daily basis. The school professed in a recent letter that "commuting students have not led to an increase in virus transmission". If that is true, why then aren't the remainder of the students allowed to follow those same policies as long as they abide by standard protocols? As we have all experienced, human interaction and cautious freedom of movement are all part of a human being's wellness. Our child and many others, are being made to suffer by the university's, inflexible, extreme policy. If that policy were uniformly enforced for everyone attending Assumption, it might be easier to accept. Seeing hundreds of people come and go on a daily basis, while others are literally suffering in silence is devastating as a parent and as a human being with empathy. The school and its president are not available and open to communicate on this subject either. A recent post I submitted to the Facebook group, written respectfully and thoughtfully was disallowed. A recent Zoom call was held to address student concerns and the administrators kept attendees muted, disallowed cameras and didn't provide the ability to interact and genuinely communicate two ways. College is supposed to teach kids how to think for themselves, form opinions and demonstrate their independence. It's part of the educational package, which is not purely an exercise in passing tests. Assumption continually follows a pattern of carefully controlled communications instead of embracing a diversity of thought. I am a working professional and have been impacted by covid same as everyone in the world. My company has changed its policies and the situation is ever evolving. That said, I am not aware of any other walk of life, where coming/going is all but disallowed. Even prisoners are allowed familial visits, with safety protocols followed. If a student had a toothache, nobody would prevent him/her from seeking relief, but for anyone suffering depression, anxiety and mental anguish in part because they cannot simply blow off steam by meeting their parents for breakfast is told to 'stay resilient'. I drove an hour to watch the football game today. The email sent to the opposing team (us) said "All guests must be fully vaccinated, over the age of 12 years old, etc…. I am sure I was not and won't be the last person to misunderstand that statement as being "Anyone 12 and over has to be vaccinated" and not understood as "Children under 12 are not allowed". While written properly, this was extremely deceiving compared to the rules posted on your site (which I decided to search after the fact) that says CLEARLY no one under 12 will be allowed on campus. My 3 year old who is not even PERMITTED to be vaccinated and who was thoroughly looking forward to coming to the game was in tears when we had to turn around and go back home. My family has gone to almost all of the football games this season in various states and not once has there been such strict, unreasonable rules about an OUTDOOR event. Experience PART ONE. Experience PART TWO- When I pulled on to the campus, the security guard asked if I had a guest pass. I said No. He said, "OK then, pull up the hill and you'll see the main parking." I proceeded to do so. Less than 5-10 minutes after I pulled in, my father in-law pulled in and was asked the same question. Do you have a guest pass? He answered No. The exact same answer as I. Help me understand why he was told he couldn't proceed through the gate but I, who answered with the same exact answer, was allowed to pass? First of all, neither one of us should have been allowed to pass because we, again, had not been required to "register" to attend a game AT ANY OTHER SCHOOL this season. But secondly, I am a 35 year old Caucasian female and he is an older black male. You must understand that the rules that applied to him and didn't apply to me looks really, REALLY bad on behalf of your school. ALMOST DONE… These rules stated on your site which as I said I searched after the fact say, "In addition to being fully vaccinated, guests must follow current Assumption University health protocols, including the current mask wearing policy. Lastly, at this time tailgating of any sort is not allowed on campus." Since your guard so kindly allowed me to pass the gate without a guest pass, I was able to go onto the campus and see a designated parking lot FULL of Assumption tailgaters, NOT social distanced and NOT wearing masks. So basically what I understood from this is AGAIN the rules that apply to the visiting team did not apply to the Home team. And to close… "all guests must register to come to campus five days prior to arrival.." Five days prior… Is it realistic to think that the friends AND family of the visiting teams would even THINK that they'd have to go "REGISTER" to attend the next game only two days after their last game after watching games ALL season without any issue?? I can only hope and pray that you look into all of the above and not just disregard the happenings surrounding my TERRIBLE experience today at your school. Thank you! And congratulations on your Team win. I hope it was the encouragement of your home team fans that really gave your team the push. Your great efforts to keep out visiting spectators worked. The service at Taylor's dining hall is horrible and so is the quality of food. It doesn't even deserve 1 star. In my many experiences visiting my sister and eating here, they always close early and never have any food for those who have allergies. I'm allergic to gluten and the only option I have are carrots and hamburgers, in which most of the time I can't eat with having to go up 700 time to ask for more. I paid $12 to eat at an all you can eat buffet and I get to eat not even enough to count as a snack. If you try to ask for more the first time they will say no and then if you even want to have a small conversation while eating the first helping, they will be closed and take away all the food. Also the events for the family weekends and everything suck and are a waste of money. You have more chances of having fun if you just stay home and sleep.MacKenzie

Roxbury Community College is a top community college in Boston with accessible instructors who are devoted to their students learning and mastery of the subjects. It is more important to learn the foundations than be pressured and focusing on competition for grades at some notable colleges in the area. I am also interested in furthering my writing career for children and young adults by the Children's Literature course. And courses on Images of African Americans in the media. I am applying to an MFA program in creative writing at Spaulding University and need letters of recommendation. I hope to get a tv show on Nickelodeon. This will help. I might take Linux computer programming or Java II. I plan to enroll in Biology I Biology II at BHCC. There is an Energy class. If I have time I will take this on Saturday mornings. I also plan to take Organic Chemistry and apply to medical school using computerized anatomy coursework. I am considering taking Arabic language classes here. I am also going to read the book on legal document preparation. I do not have time to take everything, so I can read the book and keep improving being self taught is important. Absolutely not. I know rocks that can gain more intelligence in a lifetime compared to the amount of anything you'll gain here. They don't even offer flexible tutoring hours for students employed by the school. What? are you kidding? Say its a conflict of interest. A conflict of who's interest? Cause its truly conflicting the interest to learn when you cant make a buck and get help with academics at the same time. Highly unprofessional staff, hand to God I thought they were common transients you pass by in hallways and streets. Also the graduation rate there is half past depressing and that alone is a reflection of the interests the professors have in teaching a community anything college related. Also is a reflection of the effortless clowns that frequent the facility still nostalgic about their high school days. Do NOT waste your time especially if you have SENSE and SCENTS. Please be aware of this college. Worst college in USA. Took money out from Income Tax return without even attending any class. Please be very aware before you visit this college or sign any papers.My wife went there to check about the courses they provide and see the college. She never went to that college again and never did any class. After couple of months we received a bill that we owe money. Called the college and the front desk said that you have to talk with the billing department. They told us that you have to come to the college and sign the paper. My wife told that her foot is broken and she have 4 kids so that is why she cannot come. She Also told them that she will send doctor and hospital note that she cannot drive.They hung up the phone on her. She sent so many email and calls but no reply. Spoke with billing department that I really need that money for my kids. They guy I spoke said that i can not return the money. Went here during 2013-2014 for my associates in marketing, its an alright college. Tho my only bad points I remember from this is the intern job finder guy was really rude and I had other people who told me they had him too and he was rude to them as well. another bad point was one of the class counselors who made me take an unnecessary course and told me if i didn't take it i wouldn't get my degree only to find out that they lied and i didn't need to take that course (no refunds of course). Last bad point I remember was one of the job counselors who said they would help me find a job pretty much ghosted me after our first meeting. They gave such a wonderful speech about how I was going to get a lot of help finding a job and that i wouldn't be disappointed. well disappointment city here i came first class. total ghosted and never heard from after the second week of trying to talk to them. gave up trying to finding a job threw here. otherwise its an alright place but seriously have enough parking places that people taking classes here and no teacher saved parking spots for teachers who arent even there and we can see are sitting empty for most if not the entire day. After the first guy Matt Coulter if i remember his name right, was really rude and pretty much did absolutely NOTHING to help me when I had a problem with my internship. Then the job helper person I got to help me find a full time job litterly GHOSTED me, IE: never returning any phone calls, emails and was never there even tho I told they were there on the days they would be in, on 3 separate occasions I wasted my time trying to meet someone who just happened to "not" be there. This place was the worst college to go to. The counselors don't really help you. They just sign you up for any course they can just so they can quickly boot you out the door not caring to help you find classes for your major or even find a major at all. For the Danvers campus in particular, it's a very snobby, predominately white(and prejudice), unfriendly atmosphere. A lot of them also flow over to the Lynn campus so they bring their snobby attitudes there. The students are worse than the instructors though the instructors can be pretty stuck up themselves. That's just the type of community Danvers is. You will find most of the people who have the edge at this school AND of course speak highly of it are the predominantly white population. I took a Bio 101 class once, and the instructor said in front of the class that blacks usually don't do well because they come from a poor background and lack proper education. It really is not a good place to get your education. Also, a lot of classes they have wont transfer to another college such as their Bio 101 course. You may not know that, but be sure the classes you take are transferable. Be sure to follow up on Rate My Professors website to know if you have a good instructor or not otherwise it's a hit or miss on having a great successful academic year or not. The staff can be very unfriendly on the phone or in person when you go to any of their offices. When you attend this school, you better have direction on what you want to do because No one there is really going to help you unless you have a really good instructor. I transferred out to a better community college and it was one of the best choices I've ever made.Maximum Achievement

I have done four semesters at NSCC in the Criminal Justice program over the past two years. North Shore was a decent place for me to start my college education, as I feel like going to a full-fedged State University for four years is a massive scam and waste of money. Professor Koshivas and D'Agastino were great and I learned a great deal in their classes. The Danvers campus is very clean and modern and much nicer than the Lynn campus, which gave me the feeling of being in a dirty train tunnel. My issues with the school pertain to its administration. I had multiple issues when enrolling for classes during each semester. It seemed like no matter what some piece of paperwork would be lost. Once they even lost proof of one of my scholarships, luckily I had copies. When it came time to cut the check for the semester there would always be an issue with the amount. Sometimes we overpaid, sometimes we underpaid, it was as though they never got the final amount right on the first try. It was frusturating to deal with. Another issue I had was with the WiFi in the school. I would be in the library during the period between classes on my laptop trying to get work done, only to find the connection suddenly stopped and I could no longer connect to the internet. Some days were worse than others with this, it was very unpredictable as to when it would work and when it would not. I won't end up graduating from North Shore as of right now as I'm going the military route instead. However, there are some very good professors at this school, just be prepared to deal with a mediocre administrative department if you decide that North Shore is for you.Millard Fillmore

Most of the bad reviews are coming from people who had ONE bad experience at like the book store or whatever or i gEt tHiEr aDs oN hUlu, though the veteran who shared his story probably has a decent case to make. Anyway I got a business degree from this college and if you actually try you can do really really well here, with great professors and programs like the honors program which gives high level learning at bottom dollar, and wonderful faculty like the folks at PTK, disability services, or the Fuller Center. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot to work on regarding graduation rates, the food, no one card system, etc but I couldn't give this place anything less than 5 stars because of all of the wonderful people who give 110% here, especially in those departments I mentioned. If you live in Worcester don't spend 30k a year to go to Assumption, you'll save so much money to come here. Seek opportunity, study for your tests, respect your professors and faculty, and most importantly, do your damn homework; I guarantee you'll be a success at this place if you do all of these things.Clark Kent

The qcc "police" are some of the most unqualified and unempathetic people in the area. There is no doubt they have no training, no expertise in law and zero idea of what they are doing. Harvard is one of the most prestigious universities in the World and every one wishes to visit it once in a life time. I had this chance to go there and walk around this beautiful institute. The good thing is that it is open for all and everyone could go around and visit. I saw many tourists there enjoying walking and taking photos. The good thing which I liked was that seeing people doing Yoga in the open space and in nature. I liked that and participated with them in yoga. It’s unfortunate that I have to write this review but I am in hopes of MCPHS revising their admissions process for the Physician Assistant Program. I know that I was not the only student this year that was invited to interview and then closed out of an interview spot and placed on a waiting list. When I contacted MCPHS they told me that I may not get to interview after all as they had accidentally invited too many people to interview and did not have the resources to open up more interview dates even though acceptances are not on a rolling basis. How does a top tier medical university not have the resources to interview all the students they invited? By choosing to interview solely the people that happened to secure spots first, not only are they limiting the potential of their incoming class and proving that they only care about filling the spots for monetary reasons, but they are limiting the future of numerous successful students who worked hard to get an interview invitation. When I asked Jordan Hunt (admissions counselor) to make sense of this she was unable to provide a competent answer besides that the university messed up and the incoming students are the ones facing the repercussions. I’m not writing this for myself, but for the other students who were too timid to speak up or who had chosen this school as their top choice and then got screwed. I truly feel bad for some of the other incoming students who do not have other options and were relying on MCPHS. I am very disappointed. MCPHS either needs to change their interviewing process to rolling acceptances (interviewing the top tier students first and then going down the line) or they need to use this model but be willing to open up more dates in case of overflow. Side note: They informed me that students on the waiting list could be notified up to a day before an interview that a spot had opened up. Do they not take into consideration that everyone doesn’t live near Boston or works full-time? Extremely dissatisfied with this supposedly “top tier” medical college.Maddy Frank

Hey guys, good for all the students giving great remarks. I don't know if the school has paid you. I must say i was in the nursing program , ( the set that started 2005) the teachers were very bad. Everything was very difficult, out of 50 students that got into the nursing program only 15 students or even less that graduated from the program. Judy Murphy was very racist, no room for improvement. It was a very bad school. I will recommend another school any day any time as matter off fact the school needs to refund money back to students that paid for tuition. All they care about is your money and not the students. It was a very traumatic experience. It was one of the worst decision i have ever made in life to attend that college. I Owe up to 100,000 in debt with no nursing degree to show for. I just finished my second-year in PharmD program in MCPHS. I’m gonna transfer to Worcester to study the accelerated program. I have had great time in MCPHS so far. All professors are very nice and friendly. I haven’t met any professor who’s not willing to help student wholeheartedly. They always have office hours to answer students’ inquiries and to clarify the lecture in case the students don’t understand. There are absolutely no discrimination in MCPHS. It’s all about respect. Every MCP student is very welcoming so we have a very close-knit community in MCP. The program is well-designed and bearable. Sometime I feel overwhelmed but it’s not impossible to pass as many people say. You just need to put time and effort and you’ll be fine. In short, MCPHS is a great university for those who seriously pursuit a professional career in pharmacy and health sciences.Bill Nguyen

I've watched 25 graduating classes at Rivier. I've watched Rivier grow from an all girl's college to a coed college, and from a college to a university, from typing classes to computer classes and from graduate programs to doctoral programs. I've taken classes at Rivier and had the opportunities to change my mind for the better. I've worked in Housekeeping, Public Safety, Grounds, Maintenance and the Mail room. I can honestly say that most of the workers try to go above and beyond the call of duty by taking care of all the little details for students, staff, faculty and administration. We cater to our students and that's what we do. Rivier is like a place your mom taught you the world is supposed to be like. I will forever be indebted to all of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary for taking time to make sure I was OK, that I felt a part of the community and that I was appreciated for my efforts. I love all of the Sisters of Presentation of Mary as they have helped me to change my heart to do the best I can do, be the best I can be and to serve the world as best I can. Rivier University is the biggest regret I've made thus far for a secondary education institution. The Student Financial Services have let me down more than once, resulting in missed opportunities for financial help or gave me no notification if I owed the school money until I did/do. They sent my financial aid refund to me then three days later contacted me stating they needed it back, that they had made an error sending it to me. I had reached my loan limit with no warning given that the funds weren't available for me to enroll, that I'd pay out of pocket if I continued with my registration. If you decide to attend Rivier University in Nashua, NH then I suggest a special private financial aid provider and a personal accountant.Keitha Shideler

WORST college/university in the state! They care more about the cosmetics and appearance of their campus then they do about the actual education of their students! School seemed great when I toured it, but from day 1 that changed. I didn't recieve any of the assistance or help I was told I'd be able to get/be provided with. The dorms had many issues, such as my room along some of my friends rooms lacked door knobs and even locks. In the winter the heat didn't work at all, and for days at a time there would be no hot water through out the building(s). It normally took a day or longer for any form of maintenance/repairs to be done. Was given very little info about/prior to activities and or things going on at the school. The computers throughout the dorms almost never worked so if you don't/didn't have your own computer you couldn't do basically any of the work you'd need to do (for most all work at the school has to be done on the computer or online) and even if you did have your own computer or the ones in the dorms worked the internet barley ever worked, so no matter what getting work done was very difficult. Also, the attendance policy is very strict and no matter what the situation, whether it be a family emergency or just no going to class because you don't want to, if you miss 3 or more straight classes you get kicked out of the school and with little to no prior warning about being kicked out. Overall, I had many issues and problems (some of which are stated, but not all) with this school, which made for a pretty bad college experience. I started looking at Bay State College because of the great things I had read and seen online. I requested information and received that promptly. I applied and got accepted. That process was very smooth. I was at a community college before and had some credits that would transfer. Bay State staff helped me with the process and made sure the credits that could transfer would transfer. Fast forward two years. I received my Associate's in Criminal Justice and I am in the Bachelor's program scheduled to be done this year. I have built amazing relationships with professors and staff. They have become more like a family. If I ever have an issue I reach out and someone will always have an answer for me. When they do not, believe me. They find it. There are so many opportunities they have to offer you just have to ask. I am sad my time is coming to an end with Bay State. The first thing I will say about this school is that the student population is one of the rudest and meanest student populations in the country. Everyone I have met at this place is all about appearing cool and smart, and if you don't go to school here you are looked down upon. The dorms are absolutely terrible here and most buildings are made of concrete. Most state universities are the pride of the state but I don't think people view UMass that way. The school used to have friendly students and a low tuition/fees, now it is the exact opposite. When you go to Umass you are paying for a college experience, your not paying for a quality education. Public schools are a major part of the downfall of society, and this school is a perfect example of a school doing that. Every time I have been on this campus I am not acknowledged and if you don't conform to Umass standards you are an outsider. I understand education is important but the students/staff could at least show some respect to people outside their clique of Umass society. Umass has gotten better in some aspects but in many aspects it is still failing. It is not a open minded campus. I think most people who leave this school are so absorbed into a career mindset that they forget that life is about more than just a career and income. A major problem with universities especially UMass is people choose a very narrow path of education. People should be interested in many different fields of knowledge rather than what their major is. Great college and infrastructure. This is one of the largest university in New England and very good for computer science and related fields. pros: Good university with excellent infrastructure and ideal environment for student life. Most of the buildings are new and in good condition. Since there is a large student body, you will find many different kinds of student activities like sports activities and other extra curricular activities. I am an alumni class from several years ago. When I was there the environment was great and it is nice to know, it still is! I hear about it from both younger siblings class of 2018 and 2021. Most of the teachers are remarkable and truly care for their students. The trade classes become small families and the trade school teachers are experts in their fields. My pet peeve are the rules not being equally applied and not always being just. My example are the students with family working in the school; they do get special privileges such as not getting in trouble when others would. I seen it when I was there and still see it. The school is typically great with rules and discipline. Maybe it is all schools who knows. I wish the school would have expanded larger before adding more students each year because when it comes to graduation it is very hard to squeeze as many people into the small gym. I'm glad the sports have expanded since being there! It is great that the school is always renovating, clean and well organized. Hopefully they will eventually find more space for all the new classes, shops, sports, groups and students they keep adding.A.M. F

My son was very disappointed when he found out he was on the waiting list and honestly I feel discriminated because he has all a’s currently and had a’s and b’s last semester. And his attendance percentage is a 92 and would’ve been higher, but we went on vacation and we lost a couple days and he still did his work on his computer so his grades stayed the same. And his colleague has C’s and D’s and has the same attendance percentage as my son and he got accepted and my son didn’t and honestly we feel very disappointed in this school because they told me that the reason why my son didn’t get accepted and is on the waiting list is because of his attendance and my sons colleague has the same attendance as him and he got accepte d with worse gradesCarla Darosa

There are many silly kids reviewing who do so because they performed poorly in school. Don't listen to them. 3 stars because the technical education is a must! Regardless of if the shops are your calling, you have a job leaving high school. That's huge. However, they don't always handle students well. Even the students who performed poorly could do with better care, because as a student who does what they're supposed to I had to deal with so many bad students. REALLY bad. The school isn't actually exclusive. Its definitely worth it though in the sense that its the best you'll get in this county. I don't know if thats saying much.Jazzy G

Update: I have been working for 8 months as a dental assistant and they prepared me so much for it. I feel like they really taught us what to do for the actual day to day office environment and they really helped me. Of course the beginning when you start you still have to learn other things but I feel like I was so prepared because of my teachers I highly recommend this program for anyone looking to become a dental assistant! I had initially put up a negative review because of a situation that turns out to be my misunderstanding, completely my fault for not waiting to speak in person because email sometimes there can be some miscommunication and that's completely my bad! Once I went in and spoke to them I realized I was completely wrong and I apologize profusely! So embarrassing that was all me. Clarissa and Onneita are like my little guardian angels! Idalia and Angelica as well! They have been amazing I could not be more happy and so grateful that I've had these people in my life building me up and helping me get to where I need to be. They work so hard on every single students behalf I don't know how they do it! Another part of the program I absolutely loved besides the staff is that it's all inclusive so basically you don't have to worry about coming out of pocket seperately for textbooks, for tests, uniforms, anything like and it helps take stress off of the process. I couldn't recommend this place more it's like you have this team that has your back and help you get through the process and make sure you're successful as possible.Kiley Bueler

Going to Lincoln Tech Somerville was the best decision. Just like many of you, Covid put me out of job and I needed to create a new game plan. The whole admission, Education and faculty are the best group of people I have ever met. I am a student currently wrapping up my dual certification program. From registration to scheduling the experience has been amazing. Everything that I learned online and on campus I have been able to put to to use in the field. All the instructors are the best. The medical industry is growing and they want smart, quick and talented individuals to join there team. Listen, Apply and discipline yourself, these folks will help you in everyway to finish your selected program, Graduate and find a job. You will challenged and pushed everyday. Don't wait for a pandemic to start a new career. Do it because its your calling to care for people. I would highly recommend AM for anyone interested in going into Medical Aesthetics. I have experienced AM as both a student and model, and I have left each time impressed with what was offered. I have taken 2 courses with the most recent one being Applied Anatomy for Facial Aesthetics: A Cadaver Dissection. This is a must have class to take to enhance your understanding of anatomy and safety, not to mention the hands on experience and access to Dr Russo and the skilled instructors in an intimate setting. The facial assessment portion of the class was excellent. I have already signed up for additional courses and am looking forward to transitioning to aesthetics with confidence after being in the nursing field for almost 30 years (NP for 8). Through the coursework provided by AM, I know I will enter this exciting field with a strong foundation and support. Taking the Dr. Russo and Dr. Sykes cadaver dissection course at AIM for the second time proved to be beneficial. After injecting for 12 years, I continue to always learn new things and improve my knowledge level and therefore, my skill set too. I will never think I am too experienced or knowledgeable to disregard an opportunity for advanced learning. Stay humble, always be willing and open to learn new things is my motto! Take the class, you will NOT regret it!! Also, the Sykes Face Sculpting class was another great class that did not disappoint- facial balance and harmony achieved through advanced assessment skills followed by injections in the appropriate places was the focus; as well as cheek, jawline and chin contouring. I highly recommend to beginner and experienced injectors!kristen callanan

Shelly was the support I needed when our newborn came out with a tongue tie and I was hearing conflicting information from different hospital pediatricians, our pediatrician and sources online. She was so calm and patient asking tons of questions, making observations and then providing great recommendations. I noticed Shelly was especially great at asking questions then truly listening to all your concerns and asking follow ups based on that. So many providers postpartum are moving so fast sometimes it feels like they hear you but aren’t listening. With Shelly I felt truly listened to, and like every single little new mom concern about breastfeeding was answered. A few days after my first appointment with Shelly my pediatrician made comments and recommendations that were confusing and counter to what we had been working on with her. Within a few minutes of messaging with her through the portal she had called our pediatrician to make sure they were on the same page and that I was comfortable with their follow up plan. I can’t tell you how much stress the immediately relieved for me in those early postpartum days where everything was a bit overwhelming. The pediatrician also made a comment to me at our 1 month appointment about how impressed he was with her thoroughness and professionalism. I will 100% be reaching back out for any other support we need through our breastfeeding journey, and will be scheduling a preemptive prenatal visit when we decide to have baby #2!Rebecca Dancy

Shelly is absolutely amazing! Not only is she professional, but she is very personable. She really knows how to make you feel comfortable, especially when you are a brand new mom feeling your most vulnerable. Our appointments felt like talking with an old friend. Shelly is very knowledgable and was able to help me improve my breastfeeding journey and re-examine my breast feeding goals. I was about to give up until I met with Shelly. She was able to help me identify some barriers I was unaware of, such as my daughter having issues with her pallet and tongue. She also provided information on risk factors I had for low milk supply due to preexisting conditions, that I did not know could impact my supply. Together we came up with plan to try and re-established a plan that was sustainable. In the end I did see improvement with my baby's latch and was comfortable with the new goals I had set for myself. 10/10 would highly recommend, I will deff be a returning mom in the future.Kathleen Bedford

Shelly was amazing, we were able to make an appointment right away for our little one who was having trouble breastfeeding and had lost so much weight by one week old. Shelly was very knowledgeable and she was great at showing us why our daughter had a poor latch. It helped us understand and allowed us to correct her issues quickly. I was upset that we had to supplement with formula, but Shelly helped get me synced up to my daughters needs with a good pumping schedule. We were able to switch from formula to pumped breast milk and now we are back to exclusively breastfeeding. Our doctor is thrilled with her weight gain and she has even started to catch up a bit. Dear Micha, It is now going on almost two months that my brother Ricky has been at Dodge Park. Everything that you have said about how he would be cared for has been true. This is a fantastic place that understands how horrible and devestating dimentia is. I have visited once a week and every time I go home knowing that Ricky is in the best place for him. You hire compassionate ,loving care givers that allow Ricky to experience a dignity that is not always shown to this population. I have visited with my husband, my younger brother and my daughter,… each visit ends with the conclusion that this is truly a remarkable place. Today I got a chance to chat with Carrie. She was honest about the challenges facing Ricky. However, there was no doubt that she and her team will do everything possible to make Ricky's life as comfortable as possible. From the minute we are greeted at the door for our covid test to the entry into the family visiting room, all attendants are happy, helpful and kind. Thank you for this and thank you for being a beacon of hope to so many that just want to know that their loved ones are understood and safe. My father has been living at Dodge Park for more than two years, and most recently, my mother needed professional care and moved to Oasis at Dodge Park. Words cannot express the compassion and care the directors and staff have shown us, we are grateful. Their approach to senior care is unique in that it is greater care than assisted living, yet has a warm, caring , and at-home atmosphere (unlike nursing homes we visited). The majority of staff are long-term with ten or more years, and they are like family to us. Currently with the challenge of Covid, I know that my parents are in excellent hands and are receiving the best qualitative senior care in the area. Thank you all.Denise G

My mother has been a resident at Dodge Park Rest Home for more than 2 years. This facility is amazing. Every employee is well trained in strategies to interact with dementia patients. They make the residents feel comfortable and LOVED. The residents truly believe they are part of their family. The two owners of the facility were destined to take care of the elderly. It is their true calling. The administration only excepts the best from their employees. If you are looking for a safe place for your loved one, please check out this rest home. It is comforting to know that their is always someone there to hold my mother's hand or give her a much needed hug!Deb Davison

Today was a day in the books it was day 4 of temp issues. The air conditioning has been blowing continuously on top of our heads in the classroom causing myself to get sick triggers my sinus issues in addition to outdoor temperatures not exceeding 58 degrees. When addressed to correct personnel today at day 4 after going to instructors thursday and friday nothing was expressed or resolved concretely. Today [Tuesday] the issue was addressed, however the attendance clerk interrupted the Director of Nursing program while on an alleged conference call; although in font of witnesses I asked her to have Ms Amanda speak with me when she was finish and what class I was in. Ms Amanda barged into our classroom, interrupting our lecture like an angry tyrant yelling about thermostat issues, as if comfortable learning conditions weren't warranted. I was trying to explain but of course she wanted to exit the class and I followed as she asked. We get to the office and before i can say anything she turns to me and begins to spew off at me, I say woah woah woah relax! I was offended by her disposition, I am a student trying to learn and there are obstacles hindering me with distractions of temperatures being set at 40degrees. It was then expressed to me lies because she wasn't aware I had already taken steps of chain of command before addressing the issue. She was very dismissive and condescending and although I had layers of clothing on already, I asked why they couldn't inform us of the misfunctioning of thermostat issues. Amanda states she "doesnt have the time with all the other things she has to do" instead of properly informing students who pay tuition MONTHLY of the inclement temperature within the learning environment. I was assertive in my rebuttal and state "isn't that your job" but of course that makes her angry, and in retaliation she threatens to reprimand me with a verbal warning, then proceeded to dismiss me to class pointing her finger like i was her adolescent child (excuse me) I'm perplexed as to who cares about the students, as we are being taught by so called nurses who obviously lack training in higher education and it shows. Allow Amanda didnt have time to properly inform us of the civility of the happy medium of learning temperatures she had the time to be condescending as usual and make a mockery show us how our uniforms should be worn. For the life of me, it baffles me with what they have time for when they arent blowing smoke up your….TaySlick

I attended the Lincoln tech nursing program in Lincoln Rhode Island. My experience there was alright. I did feel like a few of the mods I had to just read the book because in mod 2 we had a teacher start out teaching the mod and then someone else came and made the test and it was nothing we were taught. In mod 4 we had a teacher accept another job and she was supposed to finish out our mod she kept missing our classes and she would be teaching us chapters way in advanced we would be testing on chapters 10,12,15,16,17 and would be learning chapters 30-35. I can tell you this I did have some teachers that were amazing. Mrs Avelar was the best one she was there if I had any questions. I can also say when I decided to start pursuing my RN Melissa Gosset contacted me and asked me what I needed for her and offered to run through info with me. I graduated in December of 2019 shortly before the pandemic began. I never got to have a graduation ceremony we ended up with a cheap “virtual” graduation that just showed our name on a power point that someone read off of. I received a tassel for the wrong year in the mail. I never received my lantern. None of us were able to participate in the graduation yet they had one person who actually worked there participate. The final straw has been that NO ONE will accept their credits. I am not able to transfer anything over to any school accept another technical school. I want my Nurse practitioner and don’t wish to attend another technical school. When I met with admissions I was told they were accredited and that I would be able to transfer credits to other colleges and that is far from the truth. Funny I called corporate before I posted this review and had to leave a message and never received a call back. But after I posted it in google I receive a reply. Why because you had to explain why you are misleading? Still not being truthful!Rebecca Spencer

I am a post grad nursing student. I will say Lincoln Tech had a very solid, strict, and structured nursing program when I attended the school. Mary Ben who is no longer with Lincoln was a tough but great director or nursing students who ran a tight ship. I found the staff to be helpful during my time there. Now that I am a graduate I can’t believe how unhelpful this school is, I have called about info regarding LPN to RN program, received no help, I called requesting my transcript, was not assisted. What Lincoln tech doesn’t tell you as a nursing student is that majority schools will not accept Lincoln’s credits because there not actual credits for the classes that we worked so hard to pass, they are hours achieved in the classroom. Now that I am trying to do my RN I’m almost having to retake the entire nursing corse over which is devastating and frustrating to me. Don’t get me wrong becoming an LPN has changed my life for the better in so many ways an is still a very rewarding career. However, a few years into the field I now want to do more and it’s almost impossible due to the credential situation. Just be aware when choosing your nursing school, so you don’t run into the same problem I’m having. Other than that Lincoln tech was a good nursing program while I attended.larissa cirino

I just graduated from the CNA/HHA program a few weeks ago and I can say that I had a great experience. My teacher Wendy was great and she helped me and the other girls get thru it. At times I thought I couldn't do it but she always motivated us and was always positive. She called us future baby Nurses. Our group of girls were amazing and the teacher made it fun to learn. I am so happy I got the opportunity to go to school here. This is not a big school its small but you will get a very good training. I will recommend this school to my friends and family for sure, plus you get free parking which is a must. IngridIngrid Bell

I had such an amazing experience at the Fieldstone School. Not only did I get all the education I need to get my CNA, but also made such great connections with my fellow students and my teacher. Miss Wendy was my teacher, I graduated about 2-3 months ago now and we are still in contact. I have my first job as a CNA, she’s always checking up on my seeing how I’m doing, how the job is going. I’ve never came across a teacher who has truly cared so much about her students. I recommend this school to ANYONE interested in the healthcare field. The Fieldstone School is definitely the place to go. From the staff who helps with everything from the first day of admissions, the entrance exam to the CPR class, they are all the best. My instructor Wendy went above and beyond each day with us to ensure we were engaged, energized and ready to join the world of healthcare. She taught us the skills we will need to care for patients with top notch service, attention and with a smile. She is such an amazing person it shines through. Patient care is where it is. I started in January in dental assisting and everything was well until March when they laid my teacher off, no explanantion, we were fending for ourselves and nobody would tell us what's going on or why it was happening. The vice president was rude in a response email to a fellow classmate. I feel as if I've wasted time and tons of money as it's a rip off of what i signed up for. Unprofessional attitudes and never having answers, always leaving us hanging and wondering what they will do to us next. It's truly saddening. This school has failed to communicate on why they treat staff and students poorly. Or why they have been doing what they're doing. They makes tons of money so why take our teacher away multiple times and leave us with a stranger who doesn't teach how ours did? Learning online is already difficult and we weren't considered when they decided to "lay her off" basically. They only seem to care about the money and they aren't very professional when it comes to running a company. They're sneaky and will do anything to their advantage.. i'm aware of what goes on. We never got answers and now my teacher is taken away from me once again. I'm told I can't have answers and we are once again left to be taught by a principal who knows nothing about dental. We've been fighting for answers on our own and not one person has given us answers on how we can succeed well when we weren't taught properly. As if COVID isn't enough this school had been selfish and only caring about what's good for them. Hencing why teachers left and students aren't happy with what they have been doing. My voice seems to never be heard but I won't stop until I get answers. Mrs.C is an amazing person who bent over backwards for this school and has been treated like trash along with me and my fellow classmates. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone, they don't care about anyone but themselves and the money they collect from us.Alyssa Sanchez

Went here for electrical. It was a complete wast of time, DO NOT come here if you wan to become an electrician. Our instructor clearly chose favorites and was just generally not friendly, was even borderline sexist. Our lab lacked new equipment and sometimes didn’t have enough for the students. The curriculum definitely needed work, with powerpoints often being one or two code cycles behind (one was from 2002!), and sometimes tests/quizzes would be graded based on that code cycle and not the current one. And last, when I graduated I was PROMISED a job. I was hired by an agency that I will not name, but since I was hired two weeks ago they have not sent me to one job site. I tried looking for other electrical jobs, but everyone is looking for 2-4 year apprentices, not ones who just graduated. One of the independent electrical contractors I went with even said that he has heard nothing but bad things about this school. Same thing with the electrical contractor my cousin worked for at the time, she said no one wants to hire graduates from that school because everyone knows it’s a bad school. Long story short, don’t wast 30 grand. Avoid this place.lonely pancake

My son is set to graduate from Porter and Chester in Worcester very soon. Automotive is tough enough, but throw in COVID and a few other unforeseen circumstances and we have one hell of a 2020. From beginning to end these people have been nothing but professional and extremely caring and kind. (human). Mike Mello our admissions director was so helpful, showing us the school, explaining the programs and has a real human side. He was witty and animated and we were hooked after meeting just him. Then we were introduced to Dwayne Jeffers who talked to us about our financial aid options and helped us work out a plan to attend school. Glenn Hartland the school's Director has been on top of all communication since COVID started, making sure the kids work is done, working with the teachers, setting up Zoom classes, just an all around professional good guy. Anyone interested in a trade school to either further their education or if you are a young adult getting started I highly suggest you reach out to Porter and Chester ( Worcester Campus) and talk to these people.Lisa Howard

I have been a volunteer since last summer. I wanted to spend my free time with elderly in a non paying capacity just visiting and listening to stories of the past. I used to work as a nurses aide in my youth so I empathize with the staff and their nursing responsibilities. I have found the staff to be very courteous and attentive. I have sat with patients in the smaller dining facilities and impressed by the efforts to get residents to eat well and balanced meals. The food looks home made and appetizing. The front lobby has iced water with lemon slices and fresh coffee for visitors and residents all day long so it almost as nice as visiting someone at home. The personal private space is small but not any different than any other facility. This seems to be the hardest adjustment for residents who have lived independently in their own homes. The facilities are immaculate and there is no odor. We all know that isn't always the case in a facility. I've seen a few "oops" moments with residents and the staff is quick and efficient to get the situation cleaned up and privacy protected for the resident. Very discreet staff and I am proud that they honor resident privacy. Very guarded about their residents as if their own family. There is love in this building which is why I keep returning for more. This is a happy place with lovely grounds – a garden and gazebo as well as an on site chapel with eastern orthodox icons. This is where I would like to spend my golden years when the time arrives and recommend it for your family too.Heidi Anderson

I've been a resident of Holy Trinity Rehabilitation And Nursing Center since May of 2022! I will admit this place is very kind friendly and hospitable I love it here I love the people the nurses the doctors the staff even the kitchen staff!! They give you extras if you ask nicely hint hint!! Facility is very well kept and maintained I would rate it a five-star on cleanliness and neatness and appearance!! When I was staying the walls were being repainted and the ceiling tiles being replaced so they are evolving for a 20 year old facility of healing!! There technology of tvs needs a bit of improvement but are fine for now!! I love the physical therapy people who got me back up and running are PHENOMENAL AND ANGELS IN HUMAN BODIES!! As a short term patient, and a young spastic stroke survivor, my impression of HolyTrinity rehabilitation and nursing healthcare facility: I am grateful and highly impressed by the outstanding nursing, nurses’ assistants, and personal care assistants. They are a major part of my recovery as they are proven experts in rehabilitation. The Occupational therapist and physical therapist works well for me in my road of recovery from significant stoke recovery setback by a fall. I have three graduates from with the most recent having graduated last year. My children have all gone on to top secondary schools — which is great — but what is better is that they were INCREDIBLY well prepared in all ways, as a student, a communicator, a self-advocate and a community member. Each of my children developed a strong sense of self during their formative years at NBS and were supported and encouraged by teachers who knew them well. Middle school can be a difficult time for both kids and parents and NBS does a great job helping us parents create a great community of learners. I might also note that I have never seen such a close knit group of teachers and administrators — they are all on the same team and have the kids well being as their primary focus! I have been a parent at Nashoba Brooks School for the last 11 years. My daughter started in Preschool 1 and will be graduating from the 8th grade. I have seen her grow from a shy little girl into a confident articulate young lady. Nashoba gave her an outstanding academic foundation and developed her strong character.
