A good school where you get out what you put in. Many trains stop within walking distance and buses as well. Just like any college, depending on your major, you will find good and bad professors. So always make use of the rate my professor website. I had a very pleasant experience. The administration was more competent than other schools I went to and my issues were always solved within a reasonable amount of time. The facilities I had to use for my major were in even better condition compared to some four year schools. The wifi coverage was good. Plenty of cafeterias with the best one being in the E building. Plenty of food trucks with different types of foods. Lots of seating areas with electrical ports. The class scheduling was workable with enough sections to fit almost everyone. Can't speak for any other major but it felt like that overall. They are always hiring new adjuncts so it's not the same professor teaching that one section you need all the time that everyone says is horrible. Always stay on top of your things if you want to have them resolved quickly. That's the part you play in your college years. The hand holding stops after High School. All I can say is, relax a little and have some fun. At the end of the day grades won't show the strength of your character after all is said and done.Mounia B

It seems like professors like the one I got Professor Arnold who acts likes she is going through the motions and don't there . i felt I waste my time and money which I paid out of pocket in her class and is thinking about leaving the college. She is one of the worst teachers/professors i ever had . Im currently in my last year at LaGuardia (majoring in business) and i have to say the Business department is full of AMAZING professors. Classes are really easy (most of them except accounting unless you're good at it) and the students are cool. I, personally, never talked to anyone or made any friends because I'm not an outgoing person. The school is constantly going under renovations and they just finished the new library and it looks AMAZING, as if it was a library from an ivy league. Food isn't that great but what do you expect, its school food [not free of course]. I took Acting & Gymnastics classes growing up as a kid @ KCC; along with taking other performing arts enrichment classes @ Brooklyn College also while growing up, although Brooklyn College wasn't affiliated with my high school like KCC was. KCC has a great campus for a CUNY two-year college (one of the nicest in the CUNY system being right on Manhattan Beach) and is also the partner CUNY institute with my High School alma mater, Edward R. Murrow whom it operates the CollegeNow! program with. I spent my Junior and Senior years at Murrow taking KCC college-level courses taught by both Murrow faculty, and visiting KCC faculty (at Murrow) as well as commuting to the KCC campus from Murrow for additional classes that could only be taught on-site @ the KCC campus. It was EXTREMELY academically enriching to be able to enjoy a college level curriculum whilst still being in High School; and that was due directly to KCC's collaboration with my high school. My GPA went up as a result of the CollegeNow! program during my last two years at Murrow as did my SAT scores. I have KCC to thank for that. 👍👏👏👏👏Ben Schaeffer

Kingsborough CC has a very nice entertainment program, well-run and well-sited, with both indoor and outdoor venues. This year's 4-part post-pandemic return to their July outdoor series has been a real winner for the 3 weeks of it so far, with decent weather enhancing the winning combination. Performers have commented on how well-received they are when they come to perform there, from an enthusiastic staff that really respects their art, to receptive audiences. That reputation has allowed audiences to see a number of top-notch acts more than once there, as the artists appreciate that respectful treatment. There have been other events there, all of which were interrupted by COVID since it came around, so there will be needed time to get those back on track. There are cautionary protocols in place even now: those attending must provide proof of vaccination, with masks optional. Not sure of masking will or will not be required once the indoor events resume, but it certainly appears that the staff has kept up-to-date with everything necessary.N H Tanner

They literally screamed at my mom who does not speak any English for not having her vaccine card with her although she had picture of the vaccine but her phone was dead they yelled at her and did not try to help her enter the building at all. Once I came and approach them they was talking to me with awful attitude and yelling at me!!!!! although I respect the policy but they always could help in situation like this making everything 10X harder and unprofessional behaviour. edit, update: ended up coming to the conclusion that because all of this uncertanty and my bad living situation I am dropping out, I did all I could, was not met halfway by anone but professors unless I begged here. do not go here if you're poor. Just, no. I can't take it anymore. I've tried to explain my situation to this school multiple times, and I'm left to struggle on my own. I am starving, housing insecure, financially unstable, and unable to make ot to class or properly study because of financial struggle, inability to be alone a place quiet to study because they won't house, and depression. In the end they want to fail you out so you can pay them fees later, I guarantee. I'lll gladly take my review down if it's actually a thing they decide they really want to help me with, only after I have been actually helped, and not as in, money grant to help my situation I never recieve, or new housing program email I apply for and am swiftly rejected because I am not enrolled just enough just yet due to circumstances that are once again not entirely my fault because when I applied here I intended to be taking 16 credits not 7. The best college ever! The best opportunity in your life! Berkeley College is a small college but very professional one. You can find everything you want there, an excellent stuff who works hard and is always waiting for you, a sophisticated technology, using up different sources to make you succeed, a big stuff helping out students to finds jobs and internships, They will do everything to motivate you and prepare you for your future success. My English level was not so good, and I still find it difficulty sometimes, but it was not a obstetrical for me at all, because all the professors helped me. And I am definitely glad for all the professors that I had, for 19 of them (5 quarters until now), they are all gorgeous. They never stop telling their student to use them as much as possible. They are respectful, patient, helpful, easy to understand, and they will try everything and every method for the student to succeed, after that is up to the students. If you do what the professors tell you to do you'll be fine, and that's what I and all my friends do. And we enjoy time in the class, we work in group, we discuss and bring new topics in class related with the lectures. And what is the beauty of Berkeley College is the diversity that it has. I consider myself lucky to have peers form different part of the world, because in an easy way help me to learn more about what's going around and try to understand other cultures too, thing that is very important if you live in a city as New York. Men lie, women lie, numbers don't; Berkeley College is one of the worst college in America. According to National Center for Education Statistics, the retention rate is 64 percent and the graduation rate is 30 percent. When people see these type of statistics, many people like to blame the students however in Berkeley College’s case, it’s not the students fault, it’s the school’s fault. One of the problems with Berkeley College is the financial aid. When you first come to Berkeley College, they promise you that you will graduate in 3 years however when you have to deal with the Financial aid it’s nearly impossible. Berkeley College operates on a Quarter System. And because Berkeley College operates on a Quarter system, the government can’t fund every quarter like Summer Quarter. This is a problem because students are force to pay large amount of money out of pocket. And if you can’t afford it, you have no choose but to drop the quarter and this will push back you graduation date. Berkeley College is so expensive and such a waste of money. If you’re coming from high school or another college, don't waste your money and your time. This school is not worth the tuition money you have to pay every year. You pay 30,000 plus (about $7,800 each Quarter) in tuition and with the new book policy, you will be forced to pay $300 out-of-pocket for books you will never use each Quarter. Word of advice, if you are looking for a college look somewhere else. If not be prepared to work at McDonald with a Bachelor or Associate degree.Andrew Owens

I had the worse college applying experience. This is for the Paramus NJ Campus. I was a prospective student. Unfortunately, I’m on temporary disability for now so I figured “why not go back to school to pursue my dreams?!”. Well, Berkeley admissions gave me a HORRIBLE experience. They stopped following up with me unlike other universities I applied to. No one knew what was going on in my admissions process. I gave this college money that THEY knew I didn’t have because of my disability because I wanted to attend. All of that for these fools to tell me they’re only accepting a portion of the credits I took for my associates degree. I am going to attend a prestigious university that knows what they’re doing and how to handle their prospective students. Putting effort into this college was WORTHLESS!!! Now a month later after my horrible experience the director of admissions Janine contacts me to stand up for her poor excuse of a staffs behavior. She called to say “sorry”. What kind of BS is that?! THIS IS THE WORST SCHOOL IN HISTORY OF SCHOOLS!!! PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! If I could give it zero stars I would. This has absolutely been the worst experience I have ever encountered for school. When you need help and try to reach out for assistance no one replies back to your phone calls nor emails. But some how, some way they know how to get in touch with you to get a payment every month! Forget about admission. They sit you down and tell you all these good things about the school and how long the program is for but forget to mention once your course is completed you still have to take an additional 5 week course to take your exit then your allowed to sit for your NCLEX! Oh and another thing. If you think for a second they'll let you see you grade for the exam forget about it. Once you take an exam it literally takes about 2 weeks of waiting to get your score, and if you wait on MS. Provost for your grade it will take at least 4 weeks and don't think about calling or emailing her. She's allergic to responding back to people. When asked if you can see what you got wrong she will say "wE aReNt aLlOwEd tO sHoW yOu yOuR eXam, yOuR tEsT iS pRiVaTe" like huh?? IT'S MINES! So what they do is give you the top 5 question majority of the class got wrong and that's it. The reason why I passed was because I got a tutor and paid a lot of money for it. This school constantly changes it's rule to better themselves and get more money. I really wished I attended another school because the way they do things here is ridiculous!!!! The only class where I enjoyed learning and the teachers were amazing and really cared about us understanding the course was Mr. Ramdat (mental health) and Ms. Molina (ob/peds). I had the opportunity to attend the school for my LPN and RN. The LPN program I will give them a 3/5. The RN program a 2/5. The school is not consistent in anything. They give out term schedules the day prior and then the day the term starts it’s been changed but no one has up dated the online schedule or informed students. Forget ever getting in contact with anyone at this school unless you owe them money, then all of a sudden the phone email etc work. 1/2 the teachers have DISGUSTING, UNPROFESSIONAL attitudes. Don’t even bother trying to follow your syllabus because “that’s just up there I don’t follow that I do my own thing”, as stated by an RN teacher. Or famous quote they love “WHEN YOU ARE A REAL NURSE……” in regards to the LPNs which is wow because most of us attended JC for the LPN so maybe we need our money back since we aren’t “REAL NURSEs”.. your classes will be from 7a-330/4p Mon-Fri.. they like to make a lot of comments about “you can’t pass my class if you are working”.. Every school has its good and bad but be aware of what you sign up for. The cost of this school is very high and you will have to pay for parking each term(it’s first come first serve and about 80+\- spots) or risk getting hit by a car walking if you live in NY add tolls and gas and when you have clinicals you may need to pay for parking. If you come here honestly I would only recommend there LPN program, it’s tolerable. But the RN if you choose to attend try to transfer in as many classes as you can and save up a lot of money prior to starting. Also practice holding your breath because a lot of these instructors are “Vile”N R

I can honestly say that I am super happy I chose Jersey College. They have a team of amazing instructors, that come in prepared to give you everything, all the resources you need to be successful in the program. I am honored to soon be a graduate. It took a lot of hard work, and studying but I could not have done it without the help of my theory and clinical instructors who came In to every class giving their best which made it that much easier for me to give mine. I love this school.. The staff is super friendly, all the teachers know who you are and want you to succeed… I graduated the LPN program and I loved all the nursing teachers. They are always there if you have a question and they want you to succeed. The director dr. Millenbach was there for me every time I came into her office with a problem, she immediately stop what she was doing to talk to me and help me however she could. I passed by boards the first just like almost everyone in my class.. They prepared us very well for the boards.. I am also employed less than 2 months after graduation. I attended Career School of NY 10 years ago and it was one of the best experiences. I did the cosmetology program and it took just about 9 months to complete and graduate! I always recommend this school over any competitors because they are more affordable and you get the same proper training and education as you would anywhere else. Honestly I would not recommend this school, this specific location, for nursing maybe it was different a few month ago and with different organizations, but the teachers are not helpful at all. When u apply to the school the advisor makes it sound like they are very supportive and helpful and your money is being worth it. Big LIE currently was failing one of my class which is Funds, I needed 1 point, I ask the teacher multiple times mam is there something you can do to help me improve my grade, is there something you can do to help me better myself, the answer I got was a No there is nothing I can do. What do you mean there is nothing you can do your are the professor and have the final say, they are just don’t care about helping people, it’s all about the money honestly!!! Since the organization have changed with new directors and new teacher the school is a hot mess. Do not come here find another school or different location, where you can get more support because nursing is a lot and you need someone to teach that will have patience and someone who actually teach the class and not give you YouTube videos to watch. I was kind of unsure about enrolling in school. However, I am so glad I did. I had the best experience and I met some of the most amazing people. And I made some truly amazing friends. I want to say that the Allen School of Health Sciences wasn’t my first choice. I only wanted to get more information about the school. My daughter recommended this school to me. I came and spoke to Ms. Hunter about enrolling in classes. I passed my entrance exam with flying colors and enrolled in their four-week course. I paid off my tuition before classes started. Something came over me before starting that kept saying “I’m going to be a failure” and that I shouldn’t bother to go. I called the school to cancel and spoke with Ms. Zabida. She was very strong and shocked about my statement and said she was going to have Ms Hunter call me. I spoke to my husband who told me that a quitter won’t win and a winner never quits. Rob gave me some great advice and we ended the discussion with “Happy Holiday and I will be seeing you on campus next week.” It made me so happy to speak with them. The nervousness did not go away because it was a long time since I sat in a classroom chair. I even had difficulty sleeping. I regret enrolled in this school not a good school. Most of the 5 star review are lies this school is just a complete waste of time and money.they make you pay 16k for medical assistant they could have give this in less than 9 months or 13 months if they will, but instead they Will waist a lot of time every day doing almost nothing so they can make the program longer and take more money.I regret I didn't enrolled at the americation Newark where I could have paying less and finish sooner now I am just stuck now .dont make the same mistake I make do not waste your 16k and your time here .fritz pierre

I attended HTI for the Medical Assistant program , the staff was always willing to help me with any questions I had. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a career in the medical field. I was so happy to get Dr. Qureshi as my professor. Dr. Qureshi is very caring, helpful, and a great instructor. Throughout my time in his class, he ensured that every student including myself understood each and every lesson, only moving on when we fully understood the topic. I used to attend the Union, NJ location. This was between the years of 2005-2007. I know that it has been 15 years since then, but after seeing the negative reviews that were most recent, I can back up those negative reviews as confirmed facts. This whole entire establishment may as well be considered a scam operation. Even though there were instructors that seemed to have taught well(such as the likes of Addiss Jordan, Joseph Barra, and Randy Moats),there were bad instructors such as the likes of Francis Farrell who had harbored a sense of hatred and contempt for all the students that were new there. That particular man had no respect for anyone and would harass and even threaten students at random as well as also treating them as less than human. Administration was no better in their attitude. I can only imagine what Jim Belluci would think of this place if he was still there. I'm not sure he is though at this point. I can verify that students who did attend in recent years were telling the truth about the instructors making the students teach themselves. It was the same in 2005-2007 as it is now. The bad instructors would then be disrespectful to the students with impunity if there was something that they did not understand as well as drop their overall GPA. I can also verify that there may have been criminals and thugs attending that location since I had witnessed several fights during those years and had kept one from taking place with the help of a few civilized students that caught it before happening as well. Overall, this was not a good experience back then, and I feel for some of these newer students with the same problems because the same happened to me. I had literally given up on the last few months because of this facility and overall sub-par services and provisions. It is far from a reliable learning environment. My only regret was that I didn't leave before the first month was finished. I would have saved myself a lot of trouble had I left before the first month was up. My advice to any prospects out there is this: "Do your own research on other alternatives. If all else fails, get into a real time trade such as welding, carpentry or even electrician work as a paid apprentice for 4 years. Do not go to any trade school establishment with this many negative reviews or high turnover rate of staff." FYI, Lincoln Tech, don't bother sending any automated responses. It's only a matter of time before you end up closing your doors for good with the current course you are following.Omar Stephenson

Do not expect to get a job or placement without a driver's license. If you have no car you also cannot get a job through them. Grades don't matter they still won't try to negotiate on your behalf. This school does not provide job site certifications such as OSHA 30 you will need to pay separately for that. It does not matter if you have every single certification that they have given you, no company will hire someone without a car or driver's license and OSHA 30. You do learn things in the electrical program if you strive to do so, but if you do not have a driver's license, car and OSHA 30, they will not be able to find you a job. Also this school stated itself as union local 3 affiliated. Called the union, they're not. In response to the owner: No my family member was denied jobs and could not find job placement because they did not have a driver's license according your center. Also, while they did have a bus pass and uber, the career services team told them to come back when they had a DL and a car. In addition, the "best they could do" was place him in a part time job with no set hours with on $12 an hour POST GRAD. Also, no my family member had to go on a 3rd party website to OBTAIN his OSHA 30 card for $150. OSHA is required on ALL jobsites. Your classes and program did not issue that. I post this to inform others who are coming from disenfranchised backgrounds to prepare for this school. It is unfair to have someone pay $20k+ for a school (exact price based on aid and FASFA) and then have no way of paying back their loans because they must pay an additional fee for driving school, drivers license, and OSHA. What I am suggesting is that a student make sure all of these are obtained FIRST and then consider your program. Also knowing people in the trades helps as well because, those jobs will pay more than the ones your center provides.Remi L

For those who are planning to go here to learn a trade, go for it but make sure you actually go as well. I graduated on February of 2022 and I found a job as an electrician apprentice a week later because I had family who work in the construction/ trade field. Rn I’m working for a company in Brooklyn with my cousin who’s also an electrician apprentice we both working in a 7 member group in Manhattan and I gotta say I’m loving the job here and I thank Lincoln tech for the stuff They have taught me, but I also learned outside of the school, like YouTube, texts books and online research as well. I’m even learning much more in the actual electrical field. Yeah it’s good to practice hands on at the school & have the experience but To be honest yeah it will get boring just being in the school and learning from texts books, taking tests, watching videos, listening to the instructors and doing hw & all that but it’s also good to have the knowledge as well because it will be useful in the field and so far I’ve been using both the knowledge and the hands on experience which is now gaining more of that that at my job. So give this school a try but remember to always put your mind to it even outside the from the school. Do your own research, watch videos at home, read the textbooks, learn from your peers, buy material and practice hands on at home as well that’s what I did because it will all be worth it at the end. I don't think the company has bad intentions. I feel as though they are unaware of some of the people they have employed and how unprofessional they truly are. Some of these people go against the mission of the company. Although i will not mention names, the new operations management for the security branch doesn't handle anything correctly it's like they run away from their responsibilities and leave workers with no answers or solutions. I have literally had to contact Key Staff/Executives in order to get issues resolved. I was excited to work for the company but after experiencing the way these people are im glad to not be in that environment anymore. They are the worst corporation in the country. One of their security guards used physical force against me inside my child's school in front of my child, making her cry, and alll for what reason? I was planning on going to the lpn program but after doing more research the biggest problem with the school is none of the credits are able to be transferred. So let’s say you graduate and become an lpn and you want to be a rn (if you have no collage credit) when you transfer your going to have to complete for all your prerequisite. Lincoln tech lpn program is par with most programs but if you go to a county collage you pay in semesters which helps the student more with financial aid and the classes you take like English and bio counts towards your future education so if you do want to continue with your education you already have those credit. When you go to this school your just paying for the license and if anything happens your stuck with the enormous bill. And even if you graduate you just paid for a license and after spending all that your going to have to pay more now for the prerequisite you will have to take to become a rn or anything really which becomes expensive. If your plan is to become a LPN and never try to become an RN then this place is great. But if you want to progress then financially speaking going to a school where the credit are transferable would your best choice.Juan Pawluczek

I am just finishing Lincoln Tech‘s LPN program, and I must say even though the program is accelerated and a lot of information in a short time I feel confident that I am prepared to go into my field. The way the staff handles student issues by supporting them, including them in leadership meetings, and taking our suggestions to make the school better. It makes you feel that your voice is heard. Overall my educational experience as well as my personal experience was great. I would greatly recommend anyone looking to create a career in the medical field whether it be nursing or medical assistant Lincoln Tech programs are outstanding!…. worst school you can go to! LPN program is horrible!!! you have to fail and struggle & still won’t get any help. you can talk to someone and explain something about an instructor not teaching properly, they’ll act like you’re the problem. Most instructors don’t even teach. They just read & expect you to learn and teach yourself. they make sure they email you weeks in advance though when they want their money for tuition. Wish I could review higher but am absolutely shocked at the lack of support this school gives to their alumni. My daughter graduated with her masters. Her last class was August 10, 2019. Columbia did not provide her with her transcript for her to apply for her license for over 70 (SEVENTY) days! She was unable to even APPLY to take her licensing exam for 70 days, and actually longer because now the state she lives in has to process that paperwork! Nursing residency starts November 11. My daughter is still waiting for the paperwork to get processed so she can apply to take the licensing exam. She may not be able to become a nurse until after March 2020 – 7 months after taking her last class from this school. Absolutely ridiculous. Think twice before attending this school!
