Solid school. Easy(ish) to navigate. Some of the buildings are far apart and depending on your classes you might have only 10 minutes to go all the way across campus. The staff is friendly and try to help anyone navigate the school, so don't worry! Each building is clearly labeled and maps are everywhere so it's hard to get lost. There's tons of socializing areas and seating for different gatherings. Some of the popular places would be the courtyard with the fountains or the large hill in the center of campus. The campus also has a variety of food options, so whether you want smoothies, coffee, pizza, pastries or a salad there are options all around!Zena Krimzon

They have no idea how to teach what you will need in the state of Kansas. They will use other professors lectures and do not want to answer questions or teach you. So yeah if you want to teach yourself from a book and have a bunch of assignments due constantly this is the place for you. I am taking a welding certificate so I can work in the welding workforce. I want to work for the olathe railroad welding force after college. Then maybe do some underwater welding I have not quite decided. If I do I have to take a scubadiving class to get certified in that. I took the CNA ‘Plus’ programme there back in October 2021. For $2395 we never got a clinical! And the facilities and equipment provided were unbelievable! One mannequin with its leg falling out and not even a proper night gown to keep it from being exposed! Sheets were dirty! Equipment faulty, and now we are STILL waiting to take our state licensure exams! If you’re taking the CNA programme, do not take the “plus part” it is a waste of money and time. State Street U is amazing. I attended 22 years ago and stopped by for the first time since then and I was amazed to find, updated buildings, a beautiful store, and a whole new feel. The professors and professionals were mostly great when I was there and though I don't attend, I had a chance to talk to administrators and they are still amazing. It is a fantastic education at a great price. If you are looking for a great community college, look no further than STCC. The financial aid office and Koree are fantastic and the Director of Academic and Student Affairs Sarah was amazing, too! My daughter attends this university and she has told me multiple times that the buildings are ran down, many of the professors that she's had are rude and condescending, the computers in the library and in Springfield Hall are old and slow and the wifi is horrible. This university has absolutely nothing to offer to their students. My daughter is unhappy and she's had the worst experience here and she told me that she definitely regrets attending this university. I'm a Drury grad and I must say, Drury is an amazing place to go to college. The computer science department is fantastic. The professors go out of their way to help you and make sure you succeed. I would recommend it over any large state college. I went to both MSU and Arizona State and they don't hold a candle to Drury. Great school and great environment.Josh Harrold

I do not recommend this school to anyone. There was a lot of grade school style homework and a broad spectrum of effort put in by my professors. Most of my homework was distributed digitally by the respective text book's website — NOT the professor. This created a huge disconnect when discussing homework issues in class. It was frustrating knowing my professors were not curating our homework, rather, it was being outsourced by a subsidized textbook. Their job is to educate, but remember they are there to make a profit. I could not afford my bill so they sold my debt to a collection agency.J s

My first college experience was here and it wasn't a particularly good one. The building is nice with a very comfortable atmosphere, though the parking lot is a nightmare. There is not WiFi through the entire building, which is infuriating for a student with an on campus class that is also entirely on the internet. Great school. but I think if we're paying $300.00 for a book and paying $8.00 on top of that for shipping a signature should be required from UPS and some type of insurance on it. I have enjoyed having a one on one relationship with the faculty. They are super friendly, and I enjoy learning and having a friendly academic relationship with my instructors. I have learned to strongly intertwine academic health with a strong belief in the gospel while being at SBU. In my own experience, I give SBU a five star rating because I believe this is the place to be if you want to grow stronger in Christ, achieve academic excellence in a friendly atmosphere, grow socially and have a fun experience altogether through sports, clubs and bible study groups.John Karora

I highly recommend SBU if you are looking for personalized, hands-on education. I received both my BS and MBA from this university. The faculty and staff went above and beyond to ensure I was learning content that was applicable to my career goals. Love SBU! During our 1st visit, I asked who would be teaching the classes (at other schools so many grad students often teach today). The SBU answer: Professors teach the classes— not one TA or GA replaces a professor. All of my daughter's professors and the university president KNOW her by name. It's personal at SBU. I work here as staff and find the working environment pretty good. My bosses have been good, my coworkers are dependable, and the students seem well behaved and conscientious (most of the time). The new buildings are nice, and the harbor walk is kind of amazing, and the beach is very chill. Good luck finding a place as tranquil anywhere else near the city. There is however one small con and one big con.. the small con is that there aren't that many places to eat and Sodexo runs all the food on campus, and their attempts at ethnic foods are sad. And the aforementioned big con is that there is no less than 3 buildings being built on this tight peninsula right now, and one huge building that was taken down over the year I've been here.. the construction is a mess. UMASS Boston has a Beautiful campus on the waterfront! It is building two Brand new buildings as student housing with a dinning hall on the first floor, overlooking the Boston harbor with a million dollar view. UMASS Boston has a collaborative research program with Dana Farber Cancer Institute that students can be a part of. I love the new Integrated science center, incubating many New exciting NIH sponsored science research studies. It is an exciting time for UMASS Boston which has a new chancellor with generous scholarship. Chancellor merit scholarship will allow students to get world class education for free.Khuong Nguyen

I am a student here at UMB, the professors are great. The administration is bureaucratic and inefficient and lacks transparency on any basic level. Parking here is dependent upon arrival time. If you get here at 10:20 good luck finding a space in bayside, probably will have to park at the globe. Clinical placement sites for Nursing are good, labs are good, the school is constantly under construction and areas are always being blocked off. Parking will soon cost between 9-15 dollars a day according to emails from the uni. So it’s alright but the university is slowly draining the life of its commuters.Bill Whitney

A majority of the positive reviews on this site are biased and are from the staff. Please, heed the warnings that you see here. Some of these positive comments come as a result of the staff coercing someone to post a positive review. Please, do not believe the positive reviews – for the sake of your wallet and academic progress. Coming to this college was nothing but a huge waste of time and money. By far the worst college ON THE PLANET. Please, go anywhere else but here. A lot of the credits do not transfer, the staff is rude and doesn't care about you, and a professor at Sinclair told me that they consider these classes to be sub-standard. Don't waste your time or money. The only thing they care about is your money. I understand that you may want to attend a community college because it's cheaper, but do keep in mind that you only get what you pay for and at clark state that isn't much! Low tuition fees = low quality institution. The professors are not here because they want to ensure the success of their students. It is so incredibly difficult and annoying trying to contact ANYONE at Clark State. Trying to speak with anyone at all via phone during normal business hours during the day on a normal weekday is just a string of voicemail after voicemail and no one ever calls back. The only way to accomplish anything, even having a simple question answered, is to physically go to the school and deal with someone directly. And even then, probably 90% of the staff are not helpful and talk to you like you are incompetent. I am finally finishing up my 2 years at Clark State in order to get the classes that I need to transfer into a 4 year school. It has been a constant battle to get anything done at this school. The teaching staff HAS been very helpful, but the staff that work in the offices (testing center, records & registration, cashier's office) are so condescending it is unbelievable. After spending thousands of dollars every semester to attend classes here, you would think the staff would be just only SLIGHTLY more respectful.Alisha Scott

My daughter has been trying to reach out to Clark to attend this Fall and NOBODY has returned her messages or calls. So I decided to check into the ratings on this community college. After reading some of the reviews with low ratings I’m understanding why Clark will not return my daughters calls or messages. I’m willing to try one more time in the hopes of getting an explanation. However, if I cannot get a hold of anyone, then I will take it that this is my sign that Clark is obviously NOT the college for my daughter. I went to Delaware County Community College part time for four years after high school. It's one of the best decisions I ever made. I really didn't know what I wanted to do right out of high school and I didn't want to go to a super expensive university and still not be sure. I started out with general studies. I just finished my Liberal Arts associate's degree there this past spring. I enjoyed my time at this school. I got to take a lot of different classes to really figure out what I like and what I dislike, and it's way more affordable to do that here. The campus is beautiful, especially the STEM center. There's lots of helpful services and the professors I had were great. I'm now transfering to another school to study graphic design and I feel like DCCC helped me get on the right track. The cost isn't horrible and the classes are similar to classes offered by four year universities. The problems I have lie with the administration (financial aid, career center, cashier office.) They do not know how to deal with students in a timely, concise manner. I was unable to get in and complete a single course for the last two years due to administrative problems, even though I had been with them previously. Such a Beautiful campus and I had a very great experience at DCCC, I’ve had some pretty good professors during my time there although some did seem to only be there for a check. This is a really good school if you’re all about your academics. I’ve had my good times and my bad times here at MCC. Overall on the academic side of MCC I appreciate all of the hard work that most of my professors have done. There are professors here that definitely need to be more qualified with what they are teaching as it has affected my grades when I’ve taken their courses. I am an Honor student here at MCC with a GPA of 3.30 and have never once had an issue with organization skills until my 2019 spring semester. A couple of the professors have been unorganized, no syllabus and sometimes they have other priorities when they have to teach a class in other words they put another professor in place when they have to go to another job. Although these were a couple of issues within my time here at MCC I enjoyed the experience of learning new knowledge for my future career. I really liked a lot of my professors but a couple of them have been a little rough. If you communicate with your professors about your issues that you’re having it really helps and shows that you’re determined to do your work and it shows you care about your work as well. Environment wise I’d have to say it’s not healthy (mentally/physically) and or good for many people. There have been students who have left garbage all over the place and don’t clean up after themselves which leads to maintenance having to clean it all up. With my time here I have helped maintenance clean up other people’s messes so they don’t have to worry about it as much. Also the amount of vaping, drug use, and underage drinking in the lounge is unacceptable and nothing has been done to take care of this issue except shutting the lounge down. I feel as if this does nothing but illustrates that they can go elsewhere within the college and do these things. An authority figure should really take this into consideration and do something about this because it affects others who have nothing to do with these people and it ruins people’s Health. You can smell weed from a mile away and if people have asthma or a health condition this could affect them physically. I do not appreciate this at all and I wish something was done about it. The other big issue environmentally is the fact that the main cafeteria can get very loud and some students have no manners and do not respect others around them. If they are asked to quiet down they do the opposite It has gotten to the point where a lot of people have complained and yet nothing is done to prevent this from happening again. The college needs to have some control over what students do and take action on these issues. I wish that there could be some changes here and I hope for the best for everyone at MCC. Overall it is a good school for your academics but is definitely not a mentally healthy place environmentally. Even if you try to get away and go somewhere else for privacy somehow drama follows behind you. A Tip would be after your classes go home if you can or go to the back of the library in the quiet study room. So I will start with sharing my positive highlights of the fall semester during covid. Some teachers were empathetic to the situation the entire nation went through. Prof. Muldoon did such an amazing job touching base and gaining clarity of students frustration and technical difficulties during this time. Prof Diane. Hillyer OMG if I were ever to be a college professor I’d want to have her passion and dedication. She’s a math angel, truly loves her job and her videos were perfect! Now chemistry online and labs online were a joke!!! The professor did not make enough office hours, used YouTube videos from other teachers, used repetitive templates for each week lesson with no data. If I wanted to learn chemistry that way I could’ve honestly gone on Edx.org for FREE and probably have learned the curriculum better. I might of missed 1 assignment and handed in 1 assignment 10 mins late and didn’t receive the grade or support needed. But unfortunately as a paying student I just have to deal with it, 2k down the drain! Funny thing I am also a teacher during covid and actually work in the building with student and never would I have ever made my students feel isolated like this professor did. I’ve never seen or heard my chemistry teachers voice but I’m pretty sure they got paid every two weeks while there’s probably many qualified teachers that could have done a way better job. I was warned about this professor but I learned the hard way. The school overall has a nice faculty and I feel like the majority do care. This is unfortunate when professor get so accustomed to a repetitive lifestyle because blackboard actually graded my exams so again not sure what some professor did during Covid behind the scene and so-called virtual teaching. This is a a good school to start or to get the credits needed for a post-Bach. I decided to go to a private school with a more dedicated team and more virtual teaching experience.Dignora Castillo

I was a potential international student and found Manchester Community College a great place to go. I called the first time and wasn’t able to talk to the responsible for international students but left my phone number and email. Umesh sent me an email saying he would give me a call. He did, two days later and was rude and impatient since the moment I picked up the phone and was acting like he was doing me a favor to call me. He said I should go back to my country and take my visa there instead of changing my status here, which is not up to him, was questioning how I was gonna become a student and more. I can’t even explain how rude and disrespectful he was to me who was just trying to make an appointment to go to the campus and get more informations in person about fees and the I20. Since they have instituted 6 sessions Columbia College has proven they are not about the students. By making this move they force students to take student loans or lose part of their Pell grant due to not being enrolled full time. They try telling their students that 6 sessions per year will benefit them. Being a student that is currently enrolled and have been for a few years now I can tell you it is of no good to the student. Not only does it cost us more but instead of having any type of break between already accelerated courses we only have two days off. This is ultimately going to lead to more stressed out students and lower GPA's. There was a time I recommended this College to everyone I came across. Now sadly I make it very clear Columbia College is the worst college you could attend. It is a joke. Rolla's new policy if we don't offer something you need in seat take it online. Not mentioning that not only are online courses significantly more expensive but the work that is required for these is beyond reason. I am talking at minimum double the workload of an in seat class. The teachers are great, administration from the main campus down is terrible. This is no longer a student centered college no matter what their website portrays.Sean Dahlman

I'm currently enrolled at CC. This is the best college I've ever been to. The faculty is understanding and very helpful. They actually care about your education. My advisor was by far the best. She helped me through some very tough decisions and helped me to make the best financial decisions. I visited the enrollment center 3 times to change classes due to my own reasons and all three times they were understanding, helpful, and encouraging. I also went to the enrollment services about my financial status multiple times throughout the year and they were always there to help. They showed me my financial plan exactly including scholarships, loans, and grants. They explained everything to where I could understand and even printed me copies of my plan. BEST COLLEGE containing the VERY BEST PEOPLE! The other reviews that had one star and rude comments, it's because of their stupidity and closed mindedness. I had a terrible experience at this school. I would highly recommend not going to this college. They do not care about how you as the student does. All they care a bout is your money. You will NEVER hear back from any of your online teachers. I tried emailing a teaching with a question 3 times and not once did I hear back from the teacher. If for any reason you need to withdrawal they will not except it. Even if you withdraw a day or 2 after the deadline, they will make you pay every cent, even if you had good reason for the withdrawal. If you want to attend a college that cares about your needs and your success I would highly recommend choosing a different college because the only thing they care about at this college is getting your money. Anyway I got a business degree from this college and if you actually try you can do really really well here, with great professors and programs like the honors program which gives high level learning at bottom dollar, and wonderful faculty like the folks at PTK, disability services, or the Fuller Center. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot to work on regarding graduation rates, the food, no one card system, etc but I couldn't give this place anything less than 5 stars because of all of the wonderful people who give 110% here, especially in those departments I mentioned. If you live in Worcester don't spend 30k a year to go to Assumption, you'll save so much money to come here. Atfter 3 years… Word to the wise, more often than not, you never crack open that 100, 200 something dollar book. A quarter of the professors are great people and go above and beyond and are the positives of the university. Another quarter are there and go through the motions, pretty average and that's fine. The rest are communicationally and emotionally compromised and feel the need to be dictators of their classrooms and go on emotional rants unrelated to material, are professors that have checked out because retirement is around the corner, or are teaching assistants in their early 20s and have no idea what they're doing and rush through so they can get THEIR work done. Parking is a mad house the first half of the semester. I've spent an hour trying to find parking and gave up, I've been threatened and screamed at, dealt with aggression and almost hit by cars. It's not like I felt safe on campus anyways or in Springfield for that matter. The school enrollment is growing faster than they're willing to keep up expecting more and more from professors and give less and less to those who pay the continually raising tuition.Steph McCarty

I myself have had a horrible experience at MSU, but I won't let that account for the school as a whole. If you are considering entering the Computer Information Systems program, you should really consider another school. The instructors in the program are currently abysmal. They are working hard to improve the program, but for now you will learn at a pace and challenge level much less than you would even get at OTC. The College of Business in general felt like a degree mill, in my opinion. As for the rest of the campus, it really is great in every way. You can do almost anything you need right on campus easily. The Foster Recreation center has an awesome pool and great selection of workout equipment. The library is also top-notch and has a great selection. I have a feeling that if you're pursuing an education in non-technical subjects, this would be a great school for the money. If that's not the case though, I highly recommend you seek a better business school elsewhere. BUYER BEWARE: You'll be fine at MSU as long as you don't complain about any lack of teaching pedagogy in your classes. As a student I have had a Jekyll and Hyde type of experience here; some professors include direct instruction (in a number of modalities) others do not. I was told verbatim by a professor; "I'll do what I want and no one can tell me differently". Another professor, on three separate exams, gave no feedback and in a class of 16 students had four A's with the rest, B, C, D, F, range and didn't change his "Educating" the entire semester. One other professor who had given out continual C's and B's – said he didn't need to teach for "Mastery" of the topic – he only needed to give "Students a shot"… Keep in mind professors are experts in an area and not teachers – that is do not have the training and education to teach, to reach students. Further, in classes I have never seen an administrator come and evaluate the level of "Teaching" being done.ME W

Absolutely, by far, the worst experience as far as the cashier's office. We received one notification that my son had a balance due (Army hadn't paid their portion for his service…another issue all together). I explained to the cashier that we would be paying but needed time to transfer funds for a college savings account to the college. The woman told me they would not stop, "their process" as far as the bill owed. I explained this would take 2-3 weeks maximum. 2 weeks later, we receive a collections notice. Again, we try and call them and the collection agency to report that the payment literally crossed in the mail with the collections and could they remove from collections. The answer was an emphatic no. No grace period, no understanding that getting the funds transferred takes some time, no consideration that my son serves his country. 30 days and off to collections he goes. Would not recommend the college to anyone, any time. No compassion, no understanding and rude people on the phone.Seth Newman

I actually really liked going to Northwest Arkansas community college and was doing my degree completely online, until one day I was not. I enrolled in a payment plan and had a balance on the plan, so when I logged into my account to pay the remaining balance of the plan, I was not able to. When I contacted the school they said that they had sent my account to a debt collection agency after only two months, I do not live in the USA and have been trying for about 1 1/2 to contact the debt collection agency . I didn't receive an email , no warning nothing. I was on my second semester and thought I was on my to getting my degree online, this school has completely discourage me from pursing my degree online. The school seems to be more about profit than students success. Some of the positive reviews I have read about the school were written by Faculty staff.syfy Buff

If I could give zero stars, I so would. They have messed with my financial aid, they do not ever answer the phone, and then the wait is terrible if you do go in, they aren't any help when it comes to questions, and they aren't willing to do more than say, "Sorry about it, you'll be dropped from the classes if you don't pay in full, you should have known everything had to be turned in by July 3rd, even though it's not on our website, and we are a new system so we are too busy to answer the phone." I've never had a more unprofessional experience from a place that is supposed to help. I suppose this is directly against the enrollment support team they have because they are no help and aren't friendly either. I appreciate Rasmussen University for having an abundance of resources and many professors and other staff members who demonstrate they want students to succeed. I especially have enjoyed being a peer educator, being privileged to work with Tammy Hopps who is an excellent supervisor and leader, and also being able to work with other peer educators who care for their peers as much as I do. I transferred from a local state college, which I considered sticking with to save money, but in reality, not much is saved when you compare the timeframe for graduation. At the state college it would take me an extra 2 whole years to receive my BSN, whereas at Rasmussen I save 2 years of time because of their second-degree BSN option. I am very pleased with the quality of technology – at the state school blackboard and other resources were slow and did not work as well on my cell phone, whereas with Rasmussen I can easily access everything I need from my phone when I'm on the go. It's inspiring to see so many single parents and married parents in school, some of which also work full time or part time like myself while completing their degree. I had such high hopes when enrolling at this school. However my experience hasn't been favorable at all. I am a current student and I was disappointed because even though I was able to enroll and start classes I really felt unsupported on this journey. I'm realizing Rasmussen may not be the school for me. I REALLY thought I would be supported and encouraged. I was made to feel that Rasmussen would be rooting for me through my academic journey. Instead I am bombarded with emails and calls telling me what I already know… I owe money. No calls or emails about how I can be helped to budget so that I can pay more toward the balance. I'm only being told: what I owe, to get the balance down to $500-$1000 and to take out loans; which will only put me in debt and it's too early to be taking out loans when I've been in school since September of 2021 and have 2 more years. Also this school doesn't cater to single parents, limited income and individuals that HAVE to work. This school ONLY has day classes for the nursing program and as I said before I HAVE to work full time.Sherria Clark

This morning I called the university for the North Orlando Campus for the Nursing program and spoke to the director of Nursing who was discusstingly rude on the phone. I called to get information, He had no patience and told me Not to proceed a career in Nursing because it was Not for me. This was a university that I was so excited to be a part of and be a graduate of Nursing. The director needs to be Fired because he is giving the university a bad reputation. To whom it may concern please take this review into consideration and hire a new director of Nursing for the program.Georgia Conde

It’s unfortunate that I have to write this review but I am in hopes of MCPHS revising their admissions process for the Physician Assistant Program. I know that I was not the only student this year that was invited to interview and then closed out of an interview spot and placed on a waiting list. When I contacted MCPHS they told me that I may not get to interview after all as they had accidentally invited too many people to interview and did not have the resources to open up more interview dates even though acceptances are not on a rolling basis. How does a top tier medical university not have the resources to interview all the students they invited? By choosing to interview solely the people that happened to secure spots first, not only are they limiting the potential of their incoming class and proving that they only care about filling the spots for monetary reasons, but they are limiting the future of numerous successful students who worked hard to get an interview invitation. When I asked Jordan Hunt (admissions counselor) to make sense of this she was unable to provide a competent answer besides that the university messed up and the incoming students are the ones facing the repercussions. I’m not writing this for myself, but for the other students who were too timid to speak up or who had chosen this school as their top choice and then got screwed. I truly feel bad for some of the other incoming students who do not have other options and were relying on MCPHS. I am very disappointed. MCPHS either needs to change their interviewing process to rolling acceptances (interviewing the top tier students first and then going down the line) or they need to use this model but be willing to open up more dates in case of overflow. Side note: They informed me that students on the waiting list could be notified up to a day before an interview that a spot had opened up. Do they not take into consideration that everyone doesn’t live near Boston or works full-time? Extremely dissatisfied with this supposedly “top tier” medical college.Maddy Frank

Hey guys, good for all the students giving great remarks. I don't know if the school has paid you. I must say i was in the nursing program , ( the set that started 2005) the teachers were very bad. Everything was very difficult, out of 50 students that got into the nursing program only 15 students or even less that graduated from the program. Judy Murphy was very racist, no room for improvement. It was a very bad school. I will recommend another school any day any time as matter off fact the school needs to refund money back to students that paid for tuition. All they care about is your money and not the students. It was a very traumatic experience. It was one of the worst decision i have ever made in life to attend that college. I Owe up to 100,000 in debt with no nursing degree to show for. I thank the Almighty God i got my degree from another school with no stress or frustration. Guys open your eyes and look for another school. I just finished my second-year in PharmD program in MCPHS. I’m gonna transfer to Worcester to study the accelerated program. I have had great time in MCPHS so far. All professors are very nice and friendly. I haven’t met any professor who’s not willing to help student wholeheartedly. They always have office hours to answer students’ inquiries and to clarify the lecture in case the students don’t understand. There are absolutely no discrimination in MCPHS. It’s all about respect. Every MCP student is very welcoming so we have a very close-knit community in MCP. The program is well-designed and bearable. Sometime I feel overwhelmed but it’s not impossible to pass as many people say. You just need to put time and effort and you’ll be fine. In short, MCPHS is a great university for those who seriously pursuit a professional career in pharmacy and health sciences.Bill Nguyen

When I made the decision to attend Bay State College, I will admit that the size of the school was of concern to me. When we dream about going off to college, we often imagine big schools with enough students to get lost among the crowd. The professors here build relationships with their students and form connections with them. School seemed great when I toured it, but from day 1 that changed. I didn't recieve any of the assistance or help I was told I'd be able to get/be provided with. The dorms had many issues, such as my room along some of my friends rooms lacked door knobs and even locks. In the winter the heat didn't work at all, and for days at a time there would be no hot water through out the building(s). It normally took a day or longer for any form of maintenance/repairs to be done. Was given very little info about/prior to activities and or things going on at the school. The computers throughout the dorms almost never worked so if you don't/didn't have your own computer you couldn't do basically any of the work you'd need to do (for most all work at the school has to be done on the computer or online) and even if you did have your own computer or the ones in the dorms worked the internet barley ever worked, so no matter what getting work done was very difficult. Also, the attendance policy is very strict and no matter what the situation, whether it be a family emergency or just no going to class because you don't want to, if you miss 3 or more straight classes you get kicked out of the school and with little to no prior warning about being kicked out. Overall, I had many issues and problems (some of which are stated, but not all) with this school, which made for a pretty bad college experience. To finish, this school sucks, and is a complete waste of time and money from the moment you start. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME WITH THIS SCHOOL.Adam Hope

I started looking at Bay State College because of the great things I had read and seen online. I requested information and received that promptly. I applied and got accepted. That process was very smooth. I was at a community college before and had some credits that would transfer. Bay State staff helped me with the process and made sure the credits that could transfer would transfer. Fast forward two years. I received my Associate's in Criminal Justice and I am in the Bachelor's program scheduled to be done this year. I have built amazing relationships with professors and staff. They have become more like a family. If I ever have an issue I reach out and someone will always have an answer for me. When they do not, believe me. They find it. There are so many opportunities they have to offer you just have to ask. I am sad my time is coming to an end with Bay State. Here you are not a number and believe me that is a great feeling!Andreina Reyes

I graduated from Our Lady of the Elms in 1964, one of 4 Chemistry majors. Afterwards, I worked for the FDA in New York City, the Chemical Abstracts Service in Columbus, OH, and, in 1968, joined the Papal Volunteers for Latin America. I underwent training at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and at the Catholic University of Puerto Rico in Ponce. In December, 1968, I arrived in Lima, Peru, where I was assigned to research enzymes in fish meal protein at the Catholic University of Peru. Shortly afterwards, I adopted a tiny baby girl, who is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas, in Houston, TX. I've also lived in Belize, became a technical translator and editor, and ran 2 corporate libraries in Houston. In 1989, I earned a TX teaching certificate in Composite Science, and , in 2001, an MEd in Science Curriculum and Instruction. These are just a few of my accomplishments, and I credit my fantastic education and dedicated faculty at the Elms for my successes. Now, at the age of 73, I am a 50-year member of the American Chemical Society, tutor for Houston Community College, as well as privately, and drive the Houston freeways, I've encountered may challenges along the way, but I'm well prepared.Ann Kelley

I transferred to Elms from HCC and was pleasantly surprised by my experience there. I loved that the campus was small and I loved that because of that, each student got more one on one help. The dining hall is beautiful and new, the library is comfortable and the people there are helpful, and the professors are all amazing at what they do. You would think that this school being a “community college” they are more understanding of financial situations and are more efficient with financial aid an other “programs” they offer. Not this school! Not only does every single person in the financial aid office treat you just like another person asking for handouts but depending on what staff you run into behind the desk you might not even get the correct information! I went to the financial aid office yesterday due to the fact that I found out when trying to register for classes for spring 2018 that I was on a financial “probation” these people gave me NO NOTICE NO CALL NO NOTHING but that’s the least of my worry at this point. I go to their office the girl behind the desk had told me due to me getting a D in my math class last semester of 2017 financial aid was skeptical about covering classes for this upcoming semester so I would have to appeal( good thing I came a week before registRtion was over ) I appeal the form then I get a notice in the mail saying I’ve been only approved for 1 class this semester up to 6 credits. I was a little bothered, but I took it, I go down to finally register once again! Then I was told I didn’t have enough for books an technically they were only covering up to 3 credits an my class is 4 so I owe the school clerk a balance of $23.00 and now I’m also expected to pay for my text book. 6 days before class starts … what happened to the notice they sent me that said they cover up to six credits???? literally because I struggled in my math class last semester an got a D I’m going through all this torture as someone who is barely able to pay my own freaking bills at 20 an living by myself just trying to get my own education, every Semester it’s something else with this school the office people SUCK they are there for a job an that’s it. Then When you ask to speak to someone in charge of financial aide they torture you with hold for atleast a good 20 minutes on the phone ( probably praying for you to hang up) unless your willing to take 2 and three trips down to the office which is no problem probably for someone who doesn’t works full time.so now that the semester is getting ready to start an they feel like they did their part by covering the “majority” of my class (3 out of 4 credits, which my paper says they should cover up to 6 credits at least but whatever) I’m now expected to fend for myself an purchase a $200 text book within the next six days. Boy I can’t wait to be successful in my near future an to look back on the mistreatment an lack of support from this school an tell it to others as a learning experience an as a recommendation to never attend here just because of the thought of it being “cheaper” or “local” because u get what u paid for an these people’s attitude is just as cheap as the tuition they offer for a class an they lack what REAL schools have an that’s staff that cares about their students and the well being of others. An to make sure they give right answers these schools double triple quadruple check their work! If you attend TRCC as a freshman with no idea what your doing I suggest looking for support else where because this is not the school, they throw you in an don’t give a damn, not informative or helpful what so ever an definetly misleading . Always takes at least 3 visits to the school to ever get something rectified. Or a 20-30 min hold on the phone each time your trying to get the very little information that they are able to provide. Professors and fellow students are great but the administration and admissions process is a night mare. Little to no help to navigate threw the process. No one is willing to answer question. They always refer you to another person. Example: Me: Can you please tell me how I can access the wifi here? Advisor: You will have to contact a student advisor for that. Me: :/ Avoid online courses here. Professor did not make access easy. Not clear as to what material is needed. If professor isn't able to help you navigate course or they themselves aren't sure of what to do you will still be responsible for payment. Only time in my life I hired a professional service and they were unable to preform paid for task and I was still responsible for payment. And of course there is no one available to talk to about this and if there is no one knows who it is to refer you. If you do decide to take courses here try to make friends with other students that have already been threw the admissions/ administration nightmare. Don't take online. Don't expect assistance if you get lost along the way.Louis Maro

1: I registered for a class and dropped it a before week prior to it starting, boy was I in for a surprise bill. $120 for a class I didn’t even step foot in, let alone it didn’t even start when I dropped it. What a SCAM. Of course I had no choice but to pay it. So just be cautious when you’re registering for a class, because you cannot change you’re mind and not expect to pay a fee even if the class hasn’t begun. 2: If you’re “graduating” be sure to wait months for your actual diploma to be delivered. Very unorganized system they have going there. I graduated in may and have yet to receive any proof of it. My transcript is still not updated with my current degree and my diploma is who knows where. Sucks. 3. If you’re receiving financial aid and you’re registered for a class and the school decides they want to cancel it, be prepared to repay financial aid back.S G

My husband was on the nursing wait list for ten years. He is a veteran and a hard worker. He was told the RN wait list was 2-3 years by Sue Helmer. The professors goals are to make students repeat classes for monetary gain. This is what happened to my husband and several of his classmates. Failure is encouraged at this school. Students teach themshelves. My husband have retaken most of his classes because some of his teachers could not find proof of his final grades. Also the office lost his important paper work. He was marked down for failing the classes, and had to retake them over. Cora Beute, and Michelle Richter refused to look into their system, and marked him absent for classes when he was present. The financial aid department charged him twice for many of his classes.The administration took advantage of him having auto pay for classes. He was overcharged several of times. One thing after the next. My husband is now attending Grand Valley University. He had to retake more than seven classes over because some of GRCC classes are not transferable. A bunch of time wasted. My husband regret going to GRCC. I will recommend anyone to run from this scum of a place.护士Diane

Admission staff isn't very helpful. I'm being told on the FAFSA and by others if you live alone you do not have to fill out the parent information field just to call up here and have them tell me that's not the case. I'm in my twenties with my own place. Not seventeen just getting out of HS. I graduated five years ago so why do I need parent info? This is the latest addition though to a list of complaints. Just finally annoyed enough to leave a review. I've been considering for the last few years going to school and I have not committed yet due to personal circumstances. But every time I do seriously set my sights on it I find myself frustrated with the people I end up speaking with. Only giving two stars because I'm hopeful that my experience with the education side of things will be a lot better than all the tedious steps you have to do just get in and get assistance.A. My short experience has been good here. Although parking can be a mess, and often times people's card will not allow them to leave (it lets them in though) and the person on the telecom won't let them out, they want them to back up (when there's 20 cars bumper to bumper in line waiting to leave) and come inside. Or they can pay 4x the regular amount via credit card and then they'll be able to leave right then and there. Unnecessary hassle, a joke considering they're getting thousands of dollars every DAY simply from parking fees alone. Should attend common sensical decency meeting once a year.Patrcia Clemons
