Solid school. Easy(ish) to navigate. Some of the buildings are far apart and depending on your classes you might have only 10 minutes to go all the way across campus. The staff is friendly and try to help anyone navigate the school, so don't worry! Each building is clearly labeled and maps are everywhere so it's hard to get lost. There's tons of socializing areas and seating for different gatherings. Some of the popular places would be the courtyard with the fountains or the large hill in the center of campus. The campus also has a variety of food options, so whether you want smoothies, coffee, pizza, pastries or a salad there are options all around!Zena Krimzon

They have no idea how to teach what you will need in the state of Kansas. They will use other professors lectures and do not want to answer questions or teach you. So yeah if you want to teach yourself from a book and have a bunch of assignments due constantly this is the place for you. You will find yourself googling topics and watching YouTube videos to learn it. Multiple (at least 3 that I know of) people in my class complained to the chair.C

I am taking a welding certificate so I can work in the welding workforce. I want to work for the olathe railroad welding force after college. Then maybe do some underwater welding I have not quite decided. If I do I have to take a scubadiving class to get certified in that. After that I have to take a underwater course to get certified to do underwater welding but it will take me a while to doKelle Boehmer

It's hit or miss with the staff. I'm transferring about 60 credits in from elsewhere and just needed residential credits to graduate. I've been trying to get a degree audit since I started in March. I took 6 credits in the spring, am taking 3 now and 6 more in the fall. I can't get an answer as to whether I'm in need of any credits in any areas to graduate. I never had this problem at any school. When I asked for an audit, they told me, "You just completed your first semester with us. Transfer credits are posted after the students complete a semester with us. Look for those to show this Summer or next Fall." I already completed a semester. I'm on my last 2 classes. This should've been done by now. This is how people waste thousands of dollars on classes they don't need while still coming up short for their program. It's a bad policy, and they shouldn't do that. Update: I'm about 3 weeks from graduating. Taking classes on campus rather than online makes a huge difference in satisfaction levels. I'm changing my star rating because the teachers are pretty good. I'm still a little annoyed with how unresponsive the staff was while trying to get info together for my last semester of college, but it worked out. Three more weeks of class, and I'm blowing this popsicle stand. The school is what you pay for. Some things could definitely use some improvement. I had to pull out of my fifth class, which I didn't sign up for, 2 days too late to get a refund. I wasn't even aware that I was in it till I saw an email about late assignments. I paid the amount they requested after they said it was my fault, at which point they sent me a check for that same amount and then told me that I owed it to them again. It just seems to me as if the entire process is just overcomplicated. I was furious when they signed me up for a class without informing me. I got over it, but when your going to school with a GI bill you don't have the luxury to go back and forth with classes like that. I had explicitly told them that with work, school, and family I couldn't manage more than 4. My experience with the school other than that instance has been well. The instructors have been great and the classes have been educational. The buildings themselves are "rustic" but the staff works within those confines to create the best experience possible.Timothy Taylor

I went to this school after leaving from my four year college just to save my income and somehow, this school did helped me succeed easier after getting my Associate's Degree in Computer Engineering! Both main campus and the technical education center campus are welcoming regardless of what field you're studying for. Whether you prefer day courses, online courses, or night courses, the time and budget will be worth your time as long as you maintain things properly. The book rental service the school insists you use by building the cost straight in to the tuition cost is a nightmare. I have to contact customer service every time I have to make a return. Also, some of my textbooks are always late. I never have them all before the first day of class. I am having an ongoing battle with the business office about a bill for the classes I dropped. As per the refund agreement I signed, I had until the start of class to withdraw for a full refund. I did and I have emails (with date and time stamps) between my academic adviser and I where I asked to be removed from classes and was told it was handled before that deadline and I am still getting emails pestering me to pay for a portion of the class. When I call no one seems to know how to fix it. I am starting to believe this is all one big scam. I have also taken off work to go to the financial aid office with an appointment to be told the lady I was supposed to meet wasn't in that day and I should have received a cancellation email which I did not. I missed four hours of paid work and drove an hour and twenty minutes each way for nothing. Then she emailed me the next week and asked me to come in again to handle business which I could not do because I need to be at work to make a living. Lunatics are clearly running the place. I had the best college experience at this school. The classes were small, the teachers were phenomenal and the learning center provided help with any subject I needed assistance with. Still won't forget the time ECC illegaly withdrew $1,800 from my bank account in 2018, which I got back in a legal way. Since I've been out of college I've come back to sing and I regret nothing and I cannot wait to be more active in this program again. If you are a parent thinking of sending your kid here, or a student thinking about attending….DON’T!! Unless you are a parent that likes getting calls once a week that they just heard gunshots or someone they knew was robbed or had their car broken into. Or if you’re a student that doesn’t want to leave campus without wearing a bulletproof vest. They might as well pick this place up and drop it in the middle of Baghdad. Your kid would probably safer. Many of my professors didn’t take me seriously because I didn’t follow their beliefs. In one of their classes I failed because, “since you didn’t grow up in a catholic family you’ll never get it.” I was trying as hard as I could, SI’s, tutors, everything, but as soon as the professor knew I was atheist I felt extremely ostracized, not only from the student body but from the staff as well. Rockhurst has a beautiful campus in Kansas City. It is a smaller college campus and it is located close to the Plaza. Although I haven't personally taken classes, I have been told it is a good experience. They are partnering with St Luke's for the nursing program. The security officers that I've encountered have been super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend checking out this college.Kimber Mata

I have taken all my college credits though Highland however the last two times have been a disaster. I did online classes and set up a payment plan, I paid off my tuition early but they didn't communicate with the 3rd party company so they tried to continue to charge my account. This year I signed up for an online class but they screwed up and put me in an in person class so I had to drop the class. I emailed to get my deposit refunded and cancel the payment plan and over a week ago and they're still taking money from my account. On top of that the communication is awful and online learning is cumbersome.Shawna Warren

Since they have instituted 6 sessions Columbia College has proven they are not about the students. By making this move they force students to take student loans or lose part of their Pell grant due to not being enrolled full time. They try telling their students that 6 sessions per year will benefit them. Being a student that is currently enrolled and have been for a few years now I can tell you it is of no good to the student. Not only does it cost us more but instead of having any type of break between already accelerated courses we only have two days off. This is ultimately going to lead to more stressed out students and lower GPA's. There was a time I recommended this College to everyone I came across. Now sadly I make it very clear Columbia College is the worst college you could attend. It is a joke. Rolla's new policy if we don't offer something you need in seat take it online. Not mentioning that not only are online courses significantly more expensive but the work that is required for these is beyond reason. I am talking at minimum double the workload of an in seat class. I'm currently enrolled at CC. This is the best college I've ever been to. The faculty is understanding and very helpful. They actually care about your education. My advisor was by far the best. She helped me through some very tough decisions and helped me to make the best financial decisions. I visited the enrollment center 3 times to change classes due to my own reasons and all three times they were understanding, helpful, and encouraging. I also went to the enrollment services about my financial status multiple times throughout the year and they were always there to help. They showed me my financial plan exactly including scholarships, loans, and grants. They explained everything to where I could understand and even printed me copies of my plan. BEST COLLEGE containing the VERY BEST PEOPLE! The other reviews that had one star and rude comments, it's because of their stupidity and closed mindedness. I had a terrible experience at this school. I would highly recommend not going to this college. They do not care about how you as the student does. All they care a bout is your money. You will NEVER hear back from any of your online teachers. I tried emailing a teaching with a question 3 times and not once did I hear back from the teacher. If for any reason you need to withdrawal they will not except it. Even if you withdraw a day or 2 after the deadline, they will make you pay every cent, even if you had good reason for the withdrawal. If you want to attend a college that cares about your needs and your success I would highly recommend choosing a different college because the only thing they care about at this college is getting your money. I recently graduated from the Transport Training located on the Neosho campus and loved the whole experience. When I first learned that I was going there I was a natural sceptic, but only because I never knew that a "Community College" would actually have so much to offer. While I was there training for my Missouri CDL exam I lived on campus at RoughRider Village. Everyone I ever came into contact with on campus was always friendly and helpful. Crowder allowed me the opportunity to never again judge a school by its name. I had full access of course to all of the many resources that Crowder offers and I used them on a daily basis. The Library was the perfect place to round out my day of training. And by the end of my course, I was wanting it to last another 3 or 4 weeks. The staff for the transport training program were absolutely Great! They were able to make it a very fun and exciting learning experience. And no, it's not all driving. There are many things to learn in order to become a professional driver, not much different that many other fields of study. I was so impressed with the school, that I am currently in the process of trying to get a new set of classes started later this year, by utilizing the Online Programs and partnerships that are currently being offered at Crowder. I would recommend this school to anyone who is considering any of the programs they offer. They also have a top notch athletic program. I encourage you to give them a fair chance when deciding on your school. And for the record I traveled many states to attend Crowder, and will be recommending it for years to come. Lastly I want to say thank you again to all the staff at Crowder, you folks should be used as the standard. And just so everyone knows Ms. Peggy in the cafeteria cooks everything with lots of love. I absolutely loved the cafeteria and all of the many choices they provide daily. So check them out if you really want a great school. I believe you too will be surprised. My experience at Crowder College was great until recently. I have been a student for awhile. I attended on campus at Mac County, and then transferred to online when I moved to Oklahoma because I enjoyed the college that much. The reason I'm posting only two stars is because of how I was treated by a woman named Robin in Financial Aide. As a student in general, I would hope to never be talked down to by any advisor at Crowder College. I have a few mental health issues including anxiety. I'm also on the spectrum for ASD. This woman belittled me, and made me feel completely incompetent because I clicked a wrong button on my FASFA, and instead of explaining this to me politely or helping me fix it, I was forced to write out a letter explaining that I had made a mistake and had issues and had to sign it to return to the Financial Aide office before she would simply fix the small mistake I made. When I brought this to the attention of my college advisor he informed the appropriate people and told me it would be taken care of. This whole experience has made me never want to use Crowder again. I felt embarrassed, belittled, and stupid by this woman. I will not be returning to Crowder ever again unfortunately.Zoie Vickery

Okay, my initial review was based upon the ease of transition from high school to college my child was given. And, for the next couple of months it went well. Without going into specific detail, I watched our confident, adventurous child become a withdrawn, sullen depressed person. When I approached her about that she said she tried to get help from the college, but they told her she was pretty much on her own. They told me the same thing. The only reason she is there now is because the vocational school attached to the college is in her field. We moved her off the campus and into an apartment and she is doing much better. Sadly, like many formerly church-related colleges, Jewell has abandoned historic Christianity and its identity as a Christian and Baptist college. When I attended there, many years ago now, it was a wonderful, solid, mostly faithful school. I got a great education from caring professors and even was able to attend Oxford for a year. All this at a cost the same or lower than KU or MU at that time. Now it has become much more expensive, and much smaller, with the enrollment having declined by over one third as it has abandoned its Christian identity. I never considered it for my own children for those reasons. It certainly has much nicer facilities and lawns now. But I much prefer the old, humbler, Christian Jewell, which was affordable for ordinary middle-class kids. I would choose a mind and heart for God over fancy buildings and lush landscaping every time. Ironically, Jewell and its neighbor across the river in Kansas, Benedictine College of Atchison, have switched places. BC has re-emphasized its Christian identity and become more faithful to its church and heritage (Catholic), and has seen great growth and renewal. (And it also has a beautiful campus.) Jewell has done the opposite, abandoning its churches, heritage, and faith (Baptist), and enrollment has plunged. Jewell has about 800 students now and Benedictine 1400. In my time it was the opposite. I hope Jewell would do what Benedictine has done, and see the same revival and renewal. But I am doubtful that will happen.lancelotlamar1

I Would never recommend this college to anyone. They are not the college they use to be years ago. Reasons I give such a low rating. 1. Dorms are very expensive and required the 1st year. Heaters and airconditioner broke down numerous times. Water heater not working and only cold showers available. Brown water coming from faucets. 2. Advisors do not do their jobs. Will not return calls or emails for days, weeks if ever. Will not help you with selections to best map out your course to your major. Recommend changing your major even though it is the only thing you want to do. Will even recommend going to a different school if you dont. 3. Make you take classes that are not transferable. 4. The teachers do not care about the students. Just there to collect a paycheck not actually teach. If this does not make you look into other colleges and you choose to go here. I first visited William Jewell twenty five years ago and was positively impressed with its reputation and grounds. Last year I toured William Jewell with my daughter as we were college shopping for her. We were impressed with the quality of the place and the friendly, helpful and open people that we met. We were surprised at how small the student body is. We were scared by the cost of tuition. Fortunately they worked with us with academic scholarship and athletic scholarship, making it still costly, but tolerable. My daughter has now been a Cardinal for five months and is very happy. Her largest class has 25 students. Her classes, dorm friends, classmates, professors, teammates and coaches all have been great. Because of it's petite size, William Jewell isn't for everyone, but we highly recommend it. Quality over quantity.Jeffrey Parrish

I'm not saying this is a bad school. It is a really affordable option for people who want small class sizes and one-on-one opportunities with professors. But be warned, the small class sizes come with a price. Professors are required to take attendance and often grade for participation. The campus is nice, but quite small. Park does offer some clubs and campus activities, but obviously nothing compared to a larger school. The Copley Quad dorms are very nice and while there isn't a super large community of students who get involved those who do seem to have a great time. That being said, if you are looking for a "typical" college experience this isn't the place. Most of the students commute and many of them are non-traditional meaning they are older than the average student, part-time, or using their GI bill. I don't regret going to Park because it is an affordable school. However, I do wish I'd gone to a more rigorous school, or at least a school with more life. The students for the most part aren't sure engaged and don't have a lot of school spirit. I don't know many students in my classes who are going to drive around with Park bumperstickers or wear the t-shirts around after graduation. For me, when I imagined going to college I pictured a campus filled with the hustle and bustle of student life. I hoped there would be enough of a residential presence that some parties would take place and I kind of anticipated having my mind opened to the world. I thought I'd participate in lively in-class discussion and do research that would prepare me for grad school much more than I have. There's not much diversity and not much student activism (they brag about all of the international students at Park but they aren't integrated into the campus very well). I also thought going to Park would come with the added freedom and flexibility most students dream of after high school graduation. In reality, Park feels a lot like a grownup high school. I want to be clear Park is a good school, you should just know what you're getting into. You can only be as immersed in the college experience as you allow yourself to be and I will admit I didn't really want to drink the Park kool-aid. If you're looking for a school you can become deeply immersed in, this might not be the place. But if you're just looking to get a degree and get out for a good price I do recommend checking it out.Brooke Rhoads

Do not waste your time with this schools online program. It is a for-profit institution in that aspect, and is on par with University of Phoenix. This school should be taken off of military installations. Pretty much what Sara said. It claims to be for military veterans, which is a lie. Just about every education officer you encounter will advise you to not go to Park University. This school gouges you for money. They've developed Online programs that sound appealing to Military members, but like Sara said, you learn nothing in. They're priced appropriately to rob you of all the Tuition Assistance you earn, and quickly at that. The administration is a joke. There is no accountability and they just pass you from person to person if you have an issue. I have had Marines file student grievance reports against different departments and not have them ever be solved. They eventually just switch institutions. The phone clerks respond with e-mails and claim they have M.A.'s that they earned at Park. If you want to be a highly qualified phone clerk go to Park.Danielle Troop

This university is a joke. i have two bachelor's degrees and an MA from a top ranked liberal arts institution. Going to back to school for my second graduate degree, I thought I'd try the online thing, and I wanted to stick with a private university. Clearly, Park was the wrong choice. Administration is riddled with bureaucracy, instructors have very little power over the course shells (if they care enough to bother), and e-courses are horribly disorganized and dated. I've yet to take a course with a completely updated syllabus. Neither have I had a single chance to take a course with actual tenured faculty. Nothing against adjuncts. They work hard, and they get almost nothing back in return for their hard work. But good grief; you'd think at least some of the upper-level classes would be taught by professors. In the end, I would never recommend this school. Thankfully, come spring, I'm transferring to a college that actually shows an interest in its students. I'm not giving any more money to the incompetent bureaucrats that run this institution.Cat L

Excellent care and personal attention always. After my initial cancer diagnosis in early 2021, I visited a few cancer treatment centers. Obviously this is a terrifying, life changing moment for anyone. Especially as we were in the midst of Covid 19 lockdowns. Choosing The Sarah Cannon Cancer Center at Research Hospital was an easy choice. My husband and I met with Dr Singh, his staff and the radiation team, from physicians to technicians. The time dedicated to us explaining treatment options, answering all questions, was so reassuring. Our decision was easily made that day. The entire team at Research is amazing from the daily front desk check-in staff to nurses, technicians, and follow-up appointment scheduling department. The comfort and support cannot be overstated. Now cancer free, I still see my team on a regular basis to insure my counts remain healthy. As you have certainly summarized, I highly recommend Research Hospital. From the reception staff to the pre op to post op They were spot on the whole time, I was the patient but they also made sure my wife and daughter were taking care of during my procedure. From questions I had that were simple to questions they had to search to find the answer no question was a bother to them. The OR staff was phenomenal also they made sure that I was in complete comfort before I was knocked out and actually took the time to make sure I was at ease. After the procedure the recovery team made sure I was taken care of also along with my family members. All the staff that interacted with me and my family from the start to discharge they’re concern was me. The radiologist/surgeon and his assistant were awesome! They were both very informative and very nice, as well as caring and concerned. My experience with the 2…I have no complaints. The assistant came to the nurses station to get me, walked me back and when my appointment was over, he walked me to the door, to the parking lot. We even chatted about health afterwards and how to keep ourselves healthy. The ladies at the front desk, in radiology were exceptionally nice too. One of them called the assistant and asked if he wanted her to walk me back she was told no and that he’d come to get me. They took really good care of me. I had a really good experience at Concorde. It changed my life a lot, I didn’t start at concorde first. I went to MCC just across the street from the campus and I honestly feel like it was a mistake to go there, feels like I wasted time and I did. I was going for the same career Medical Assistant and I was there for three years, not even learning the things I needed to become an MA. I loved that starting here I was learning and doing hands on. Which for me I learn best and I’m just glad where it has me now, I just finished externship and got offered a full time job where I’m at which is great. Do not go here if you want to be an RT. Financial aid department is incompetent. None of the credits transfer! The staff make contradictory statements or can’t give you a clear answer to your questions. You will have to chase down financial aid to get them to actually do their job. Money will go missing or they will tell you that you owe when you don’t. Your account will never be accurate or up to date.They need to be audited. All hospitals in STL think slchc is a joke which is why these students don’t get hired or have such a hard time getting a clinical rotation. No one wants students from this school. Response to comment: I personally know students who attend this school and I was in the process of applying until these things came to light from my experience thus far. The credits do not transfer. I can’t get a straight answer, and financial aid is incompetent. I don’t have to be currently enrolled to have dealt with these issues. A lot of discrimination from the instructors and Dean. They pick and choose who they want to give points to. Med surg teacher stated "This group don't deserve to be nurses " "I will continue to change the test up so they won't be able to pass" and she did exactly that and nothing was done about it . They say you can only flunk two courses but they allow certain people to return over and over and over .They need to be shut down and refund every student their money back .Also treat some of their staff like trash !Not to mention the DON was fired from Beck College for discrimination.Marilyn Monroe

I felt like Rasmussen was very dishonest with me. I ended up leaving the school mid semester to pursue a job opportunity. Before deciding if I was going to finish the semester or leave in the middle I spoke with the advisor. I wanted to make sure i was not going to loose my Pell grants or have my loans returned. This was very important to me because I was moving for the job and taking on a lot of new expenses. I did not want to be hit up with a big balance that I needed to immediately pay to the school. She didn't know the answer when I first asked so she said she would check to find out on it. The next time I saw her she assured me that I would not have a balance due to the schools and the only thing I would have to worry about is paying my student loans when they become due. The director of the campus Jay even came out to say everything was taken care of and wished me luck in the future. A couple months later I started getting letters and emails saying I owe a balance to Rasmussen and that I need to pay before it is sent off to collections. I contacted Jay asking what could be done about this since I was told wrong information by him and the advisor. His response was "there is no way we would have told you that because we don't have that information. " then he asked me "what do you want me to do about it." I said I would would at least like to have more time before it's sent to collections. After we got done talking I felt like he was going to try and help me. A week later I got another call from their collections department saying I need to pay my balance and when they read the Jay's note he was basically just calling me a liar saying "they wouldn't have told me that." This school started off with great potential, but as the pandemic hit, it failed to take care of its students. My husband was a nursing student who worked extremely hard, but when in need of assistance, he was not met. Expecting students to retain information with no hands on experience nor a classroom environment, especially nursing students, is unacceptable. After being dismissed for failing a course, he inquired about returning. They informed him that he could not return for four quarters, but even if he did return, all of the nursing courses he took would be expired by that point. He would have to completely start over if he wanted to return. Almost two years of hard work was completely wasted with nothing to show for it. His professors were less than helpful, as was his advisor. He tried to appeal his dismissal, as he is a veteran who struggles with PTSD and learning completely online (not at all what he signed up for either) was extremely challenging for him. They denied his appeal and did not show any sort of understanding. Many of his classmates also struggled as well. I wish we would have gone a different route and not wasted so much time and money on this institution.Christine Paeth

Love this college. I am getting my degree after being away from school for a bit of time. From enrolling to engaging advisors and person willing to help with a smile on their faces, I didn't feel weird seeking help when needed. My advisor is exceptional as she was always there to shoot me a reminder about my classes, help me figure out financial and was able to explain to me m courses and the actions I need to take to finish. I know have a clear goal of what I need to do and even going to do when I graduate and the advisors are totally on board and helping me. I lost my mother and I couldn't just..do anything… My advisor gave options and was so helpful ..I was able to take a break and pick up right where I left off when I was ready to return. Overall I don't think I have the appropriate words to describe how much I love the college and those who work to help students each and every day. So if you think your too old to go back to school, think it will be hard, trying to find a school for … Take in consideration for Rasmussen.. with the advisors, and professors you are bound to achieve every goal you have educationally and career!!!!!teneisha coles

Do not attend this school if you want education that you can be proud of. This school is not Regionally accredited and a waste of your money and time. This school is Nationally accredited which has little to no grading/teaching standards. You cannot get a accredited continued education with this school. This school preys upon veterans, new high school graduates and is for profit. Stay away from this school. It should be doing what's right for students and not trying to fill their own pockets with the hard earned money of innocent people looking to get an education. Check it out for yourself. Do research before you make a terrible choice of wasted, useless college classes that will never translate to an accredited school. I’ve been going to BU since August 2018! At first I got my PT Diploma now I’m finishing up my exercise specialist associates of applied science. The professors are knowledgeable, helpful and encouraging. This university cares about their students and always helpful when an issue comes up! I deploy for work and when I had a problem they were able to adjust and help me. Yes they are military/veteran friendly! Side note: when I went to my graduation for my PT diploma it was a really nice ceremony, the staff was nicer in person! Couldn’t ask for a better college! I am not only an employee of Bryan University, I am a student as well. I completed my Bachelors in Business Administration at Missouri State University and I wanted to further my education. I decided that I did not want to spend 2 plus years completing my MBA at MSU(it would take that long due to my full time job), so I decided to do the MBA program here at BU. While it is hard work and aggravating at times, I am glad I decided to go here. The program is run in a professional manner by professionals in their industry! If you are combing reviews to see whether or not you should get your certification here, take this as your sign to join. This is a class for anyone regardless of the stage of life you are at. Whether you are high school age and are just beginning your foray into the healthcare field, or you have much life experience in your 60s and want a new direction, you will find your stride here. The students here come from all walks of life, and my class was VERY diverse in experiences, you will find yourself amongst comrades once you begin your journey. I took the CNA accelerated course, which seemed intimidating at first glance, but if you can afford it, is a great investment, especially with all the added equipment you receive for the course later on for lab. Honestly, I can't imagine going at any other pace. Mrs. Omare is an instructor with integrity and humor and will make sure you don't go to the floor unprepared. In fact, you might go in more prepared than the ones who are already there, but that essay would take up more than this review space can handle. There's a good reason for all the five star reviews (Believe it or not, no one is co-erced to write the glowing reviews. We just like it that much) and her staff Tecla and Ren, are very nice in helping you make sure you're ready to go. So go sign up! Even if it's not joining the CNA class, all the other programs have plenty of returners from her CNA class that can wax poetic about the stellar preparedness you will gain.Cow Moo

This school is awesome! If I could give it more stars I would. I got my CNA certification here. I took the 2 week accelerated CNA course with Mrs. Omare. I thought it would be overwhelming, but it was not. It is a very thorough, well organized class. If you do the work and ask questions you will do well. Mrs. Omare was an excellent instructor. She is very knowledgeable, patient, kind, firm, but fair. What I like the most about the lectures is that every style of learning is incorporated whether visual, auditory, kinesthetic, ect. Also, I really enjoyed lab times which were VERY hands-on. We would take what we learned in the classroom and actually perform the skills in the lab. Labs really brought everything together. We also had clinicals where we go to nursing homes and work with actual residents. This was a very valuable experience because again we were able to use the skills we learned to assist the residents in our care. Clinicals really built my confidence. I recently got hired at an Assisted Living facility and I was so well trained by this class, that the only training I need is learning facility policies, procedures and resident routines. I am very confident in my abilities because of it. I can’t say enough about it. It was worth every penny. I will be definitely taking more classes in the future. Louwanna SLou S

Mid america college of health sciences is best college where they teach us very well and the most unique thing is the practical we go to clinical and perform tasks which is really very beneficial for students because they will know everything that they need to before even working as a CNAs. Isn't that good? Also, our professor she is such a good teacher not just teacher she is a great human being. You wont regret learning with her . I worked for Cascade for about 2 years. The staff is great! The locations are decent and the pay is good. They worked well with my school schedule. I started as a CNA then LPN and now RN. I have been with them throughout my nursing journey. I didn’t get cancelled much and there are always opportunities to work. Wish they had an app to pick up shifts but honestly that’s the only con. If your thinking about working for Cascade I would say do it! I’ve had a very good experience with them!Cedrik Tresner

I've been with Laurie at Cascade and have done a couple contracts!! Absolutely adore her. When she's unavailable it's EASY to contact whoever's covering! I work with TONS of other travelers and Cascade is FAR superior in customer service, pay (higher rates, weekly pay), better at writing/negotiating contracts than the others I've seen/dealt with. I spent two years taking pre-requites for the program of physical threapy. I went for an interview the day they were deciding who would be getting accepted into the program and I can tell you that I am very disapointed because the majority of the people there werent even students at KCKCC but other people with more experience in the field who aren't even attending this college. Cosmetology program didn't learn much. Went through 4 different teacher in 2 semester because they are unprofessional an need better management and listening skills. Made a complaint as well as filed grievance and they turned around and kicked me out for asking for help to get to the bottom of things. 2 weeks before I was due to graduate. Only had 6 credits left, out 1500 hrs only had 280 left like they are so wrong and ran so wrong it's sad.JaNee Parker

Terrible experience! Went for 3-5 years finished my tech program, been over a year and talked to multiple people and still never received my certificates! Still to this day trying to get my certificates. All the teachers were fantastic but what’s the point of taking classes if you can’t receive your certificates and go Into the area you went to school for!Justin Porter

When we first moved our mom into Northland they were having some problems with staffing and we didn’t know if we had made the right decision, but it has gotten a lot better. The nursing staff is great and takes great care of our mom. Angie, Jennifer, Crystal, Estephanie and all the nurses and CNA’s are awesome!! They get to do so many fun activities during the day wether it’s making crafts, making cookies, bingo or just watching a movie and having popcorn, Hannah makes it fun for all the residents. Carla and Nancy at the front desk are always very friendly and are willing to help with anything. Crystal, Grace and Cheyenne are also always willing to help and take care of any issues. Every care facility has issues but I have to say we have been pretty pleased with the care our mom receives and she seems to really like it.Staci Clevenger

I came here in April of 2022, not knowing if it was going to be a permanent thing or temporary. I had emergency surgery, was bed-ridden for a long time and was unable to walk. My insurance would not cover the therapy, I was told. Northland helped me to get the therapy I needed, especially with the help of Vickie in the Therapy department, Denise, the Administrator and Shiann, who works in the front office and I am sure a few more I don't know about. I am now up and walking and getting stronger and will be going home to my kids in a couple of weeks. If it were not for these people, I would have had very little help to get better. I’ve been at Northland rehab for one week on a short term stay. As soon as I rolled into the building, I got a good feeling. Each employee that I’ve had dealings with, whether an aide or nurse or doctor, has been very professional, engaging, with a sincere desire to help all the residents achieve their goals which for many of us is just getting home. The only time I had a problem, it was with someone who was sent from an agency which Northland rehab has no control over. All they can do is tell the agency if this is a poor employee and not to send that person back. All in all, I can’t think of a better place for me to be right now. Besides, they all get my sense of humor.Lee Newman
