By far the worst college ON THE PLANET. Please, go anywhere else but here. A lot of the credits do not transfer, the staff is rude and doesn't care about you, and a professor at Sinclair told me that they consider these classes to be sub-standard. Don't waste your time or money. The only thing they care about is your money. I understand that you may want to attend a community college because it's cheaper, but do keep in mind that you only get what you pay for and at clark state that isn't much! Low tuition fees = low quality institution. The professors are not here because they want to ensure the success of their students. It is so incredibly difficult and annoying trying to contact ANYONE at Clark State. Trying to speak with anyone at all via phone during normal business hours during the day on a normal weekday is just a string of voicemail after voicemail and no one ever calls back. The only way to accomplish anything, even having a simple question answered, is to physically go to the school and deal with someone directly. And even then, probably 90% of the staff are not helpful and talk to you like you are incompetent. I am finally finishing up my 2 years at Clark State in order to get the classes that I need to transfer into a 4 year school. It has been a constant battle to get anything done at this school. The teaching staff HAS been very helpful, but the staff that work in the offices (testing center, records & registration, cashier's office) are so condescending it is unbelievable. After spending thousands of dollars every semester to attend classes here, you would think the staff would be just only SLIGHTLY more respectful.Alisha Scott

My daughter has been trying to reach out to Clark to attend this Fall and NOBODY has returned her messages or calls. So I decided to check into the ratings on this community college. After reading some of the reviews with low ratings I’m understanding why Clark will not return my daughters calls or messages. I’m willing to try one more time in the hopes of getting an explanation. However, if I cannot get a hold of anyone, then I will take it that this is my sign that Clark is obviously NOT the college for my daughter. I would rather look for another college for her to attend with a much better education. if Clark cannot get their stuff together to return messages and called to students that are wanting to attend a hen how can they have their stuff together to teach students. This is a really good school if you’re all about your academics. I’ve had my good times and my bad times here at MCC. Overall on the academic side of MCC I appreciate all of the hard work that most of my professors have done. There are professors here that definitely need to be more qualified with what they are teaching as it has affected my grades when I’ve taken their courses. I am an Honor student here at MCC with a GPA of 3.30 and have never once had an issue with organization skills until my 2019 spring semester. A couple of the professors have been unorganized, no syllabus and sometimes they have other priorities when they have to teach a class in other words they put another professor in place when they have to go to another job. Although these were a couple of issues within my time here at MCC I enjoyed the experience of learning new knowledge for my future career. I really liked a lot of my professors but a couple of them have been a little rough. If you communicate with your professors about your issues that you’re having it really helps and shows that you’re determined to do your work and it shows you care about your work as well. Environment wise I’d have to say it’s not healthy (mentally/physically) and or good for many people. There have been students who have left garbage all over the place and don’t clean up after themselves which leads to maintenance having to clean it all up. With my time here I have helped maintenance clean up other people’s messes so they don’t have to worry about it as much. Also the amount of vaping, drug use, and underage drinking in the lounge is unacceptable and nothing has been done to take care of this issue except shutting the lounge down. I feel as if this does nothing but illustrates that they can go elsewhere within the college and do these things. An authority figure should really take this into consideration and do something about this because it affects others who have nothing to do with these people and it ruins people’s Health. You can smell weed from a mile away and if people have asthma or a health condition this could affect them physically. I do not appreciate this at all and I wish something was done about it. The other big issue environmentally is the fact that the main cafeteria can get very loud and some students have no manners and do not respect others around them. If they are asked to quiet down they do the opposite It has gotten to the point where a lot of people have complained and yet nothing is done to prevent this from happening again. The college needs to have some control over what students do and take action on these issues. I wish that there could be some changes here and I hope for the best for everyone at MCC. Overall it is a good school for your academics but is definitely not a mentally healthy place environmentally. Even if you try to get away and go somewhere else for privacy somehow drama follows behind you. A Tip would be after your classes go home if you can or go to the back of the library in the quiet study room. So I will start with sharing my positive highlights of the fall semester during covid. Some teachers were empathetic to the situation the entire nation went through. Prof. Muldoon did such an amazing job touching base and gaining clarity of students frustration and technical difficulties during this time. Prof Diane. Hillyer OMG if I were ever to be a college professor I’d want to have her passion and dedication. She’s a math angel, truly loves her job and her videos were perfect! Now chemistry online and labs online were a joke!!! The professor did not make enough office hours, used YouTube videos from other teachers, used repetitive templates for each week lesson with no data. If I wanted to learn chemistry that way I could’ve honestly gone on Edx.org for FREE and probably have learned the curriculum better. I might of missed 1 assignment and handed in 1 assignment 10 mins late and didn’t receive the grade or support needed. But unfortunately as a paying student I just have to deal with it, 2k down the drain! Funny thing I am also a teacher during covid and actually work in the building with student and never would I have ever made my students feel isolated like this professor did. I’ve never seen or heard my chemistry teachers voice but I’m pretty sure they got paid every two weeks while there’s probably many qualified teachers that could have done a way better job. I was warned about this professor but I learned the hard way. The school overall has a nice faculty and I feel like the majority do care. This is unfortunate when professor get so accustomed to a repetitive lifestyle because blackboard actually graded my exams so again not sure what some professor did during Covid behind the scene and so-called virtual teaching. This is a a good school to start or to get the credits needed for a post-Bach. I decided to go to a private school with a more dedicated team and more virtual teaching experience.Dignora Castillo

I was a potential international student and found Manchester Community College a great place to go. I called the first time and wasn’t able to talk to the responsible for international students but left my phone number and email. Umesh sent me an email saying he would give me a call. He did, two days later and was rude and impatient since the moment I picked up the phone and was acting like he was doing me a favor to call me. He said I should go back to my country and take my visa there instead of changing my status here, which is not up to him, was questioning how I was gonna become a student and more. I can’t even explain how rude and disrespectful he was to me who was just trying to make an appointment to go to the campus and get more informations in person about fees and the I20. Roxbury Community College is a top community college in Boston with accessible instructors who are devoted to their students learning and mastery of the subjects. It is more important to learn the foundations than be pressured and focusing on competition for grades at some notable colleges in the area. I am also interested in furthering my writing career for children and young adults by the Children's Literature course. And courses on Images of African Americans in the media. I am applying to an MFA program in creative writing at Spaulding University and need letters of recommendation. I hope to get a tv show on Nickelodeon. This will help. I might take Linux computer programming or Java II. I plan to enroll in Biology I Biology II at BHCC. There is an Energy class. If I have time I will take this on Saturday mornings. I also plan to take Organic Chemistry and apply to medical school using computerized anatomy coursework. I am considering taking Arabic language classes here. I am also going to read the book on legal document preparation. I do not have time to take everything, so I can read the book and keep improving being self taught is important. I start a dishwasher job at a major sports arena complex in the evening and will work weekends, so I have time!Kelly Moy

Absolutely not. I know rocks that can gain more intelligence in a lifetime compared to the amount of anything you'll gain here. They don't even offer flexible tutoring hours for students employed by the school. What? are you kidding? Say its a conflict of interest. A conflict of who's interest? Cause its truly conflicting the interest to learn when you cant make a buck and get help with academics at the same time. Highly unprofessional staff, hand to God I thought they were common transients you pass by in hallways and streets. Also the graduation rate there is half past depressing and that alone is a reflection of the interests the professors have in teaching a community anything college related. Also is a reflection of the effortless clowns that frequent the facility still nostalgic about their high school days. Do NOT waste your time especially if you have SENSE and SCENTS. Please be aware of this college. Worst college in USA. Took money out from Income Tax return without even attending any class. Please be very aware before you visit this college or sign any papers.My wife went there to check about the courses they provide and see the college. She never went to that college again and never did any class. After couple of months we received a bill that we owe money. Called the college and the front desk said that you have to talk with the billing department. They told us that you have to come to the college and sign the paper. My wife told that her foot is broken and she have 4 kids so that is why she cannot come. She Also told them that she will send doctor and hospital note that she cannot drive.They hung up the phone on her. She sent so many email and calls but no reply. Spoke with billing department that I really need that money for my kids. They guy I spoke said that i can not return the money. Most of the bad reviews are coming from people who had ONE bad experience at like the book store or whatever or i gEt tHiEr aDs oN hUlu, though the veteran who shared his story probably has a decent case to make. Anyway I got a business degree from this college and if you actually try you can do really really well here, with great professors and programs like the honors program which gives high level learning at bottom dollar, and wonderful faculty like the folks at PTK, disability services, or the Fuller Center. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot to work on regarding graduation rates, the food, no one card system, etc but I couldn't give this place anything less than 5 stars because of all of the wonderful people who give 110% here, especially in those departments I mentioned. If you live in Worcester don't spend 30k a year to go to Assumption, you'll save so much money to come here. Seek opportunity, study for your tests, respect your professors and faculty, and most importantly, do your damn homework; I guarantee you'll be a success at this place if you do all of these things.Clark Kent

The qcc "police" are some of the most unqualified and unempathetic people in the area. There is no doubt they have no training, no expertise in law and zero idea of what they are doing. Maybe they should take some courses while they work their jobs at qcc in criminal justice. Maybe they can get a handle on their jobs. This is an awesome school and I am so disappointed that one teacher ruined it all for me. DO NOT take Professor Jane Joyce accounting classes or any classes from her. She is awful and not a good teacher in general. You will waist your money, time, and probably want to rip your hair out when she talks. I have to be honest about this. Good college when it comes to campus design, some Professor's teaching skills, and assistance for school related issues. Although, the school teaches bad ethics. For example, sports lack discipline. They will teach there athletes to run score boards up. Up by 20 in a basketball game with 3mins to go, they will shoot more three point shots than Steve Kerr. The most alarming thing is faculty will participate in Hazing students. I've watch this with my own two eyes. Call them out on it, and they will just deny it, at least my professor did. I am currently a student there, who help form a club, in order to help students get there basic needs to become a successful student. So just remember, good campus design, some Professors have good teaching styles, good for resources, but terrible place to learn good ethics. To me learning good ethics and applying them is one of the most important, or the most important thing to learn as a student. Would not be the first school I would want to send my child to. I learned a lot, got tons of experiences, got so many American and International friends, exchanged culture and collected precious moments in this place. I do recommend this college as an affordable and easy starting point but be ready to encounter many hurdles in your way and a lot of incompetent staff. Make sure to double check everything you do here, especially the financial aid part. The professors are nice but it’s on you to actually learn the material, the professors rarely will make sure you learned anything. It’s a 3 star college. Afterwards, I worked for the FDA in New York City, the Chemical Abstracts Service in Columbus, OH, and, in 1968, joined the Papal Volunteers for Latin America. I underwent training at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and at the Catholic University of Puerto Rico in Ponce. In December, 1968, I arrived in Lima, Peru, where I was assigned to research enzymes in fish meal protein at the Catholic University of Peru. Shortly afterwards, I adopted a tiny baby girl, who is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas, in Houston, TX. I've also lived in Belize, became a technical translator and editor, and ran 2 corporate libraries in Houston. In 1989, I earned a TX teaching certificate in Composite Science, and , in 2001, an MEd in Science Curriculum and Instruction. These are just a few of my accomplishments, and I credit my fantastic education and dedicated faculty at the Elms for my successes. I transferred to Elms from HCC and was pleasantly surprised by my experience there. I loved that the campus was small and I loved that because of that, each student got more one on one help. The dining hall is beautiful and new, the library is comfortable and the people there are helpful, and the professors are all amazing at what they do. Fights almost every night assaulted by other students where the campus pd if you even call it that did nothing but blamed me. My ex started to stalk me so they issue a stay away order against me. Went here for my covid vaccine, everyone here were very helpful and friendly. It was first day of the school year so a lot of students were around, they were friendly, helpful with directions and polite as I found my way to the vaccine area. The school was very clean and organized with convenient parking close to where I needed to be. I felt very safe and secure during my visit and I think it's a good place for parents to send their kids.John Papasodora

Not a place for adults who have a work schedule. Constantly calling, harassing me so much I blocked the councilors number. The councilor is a complete bully and I cannot go to another person because it’s assigned and any attempt to go over her is deflected. Was a student of MTTI's Medical Coding Program that just graduated this passed June 2022. There were a few bumps in the road during the schooling but overall it is a very good school with active faculty members. Just wanted to review mainly to highlight Mrs Rocc. She is extremely empathetic and tries for every student that enters her classroom. The trick with her is if you are struggling or have a question LET HER KNOW. If she knows she will tell you or guide you depending on scenario. And if she doesn't, she will hands down be right there with you looking for an answer to help! She doesn't give up on students. And she genuinely cares. Even now she checks in on me to see how I'm doing in my career path! Also Shawn the Career coordinator. He is very good at what he does! He will guide you through the school year with resume prep, interview prep, job search, and still emails after you graduated to update you on employment opportunities. He responds back to questions and emails quickly and tries for the students of MTTI. Extremely professional and a great addition to the faculty at MTTI.Katrina C

I had a really great experience both teachers were awesome! I started off not knowing anything about bikes and by the end of the year I restored a whole bike in two months. The teachers were very patient and listened to me whenever I was having trouble. They helped me learn things step by step and went over everything multiple times to make sure everyone understood all the details. The class work and notes were very clear and they gave us a good amount of time to study before each test. The textbooks and shop assignments were very helpful and made everything a lot more clear. It helped me a lot learning in class then going into the shop and doing job sheets and being hands on. They always made sure everyone was on the same page and never rushed. I took the residential and commercial electrical course and came in as a no nothing and left as one of the top students, which I had never done before and I have to thank my instructor Rick and skills instructor Dennis for guiding me through this process. Lincoln technical Institute definitely made me realize my dreams were not as far out of reach as I thought. The staff here is so amazing and helpful. I'm very proud to be representing this school as a automotive technology student working on cars is something that has always been a huge dream of mine since I was little I was always in the shop with my papaw and my father. I would like to say Lincoln Tech in East Windsor is top tier amongst any school I’ve ever attended. I recently attended Coastal Career Academy in Fall River, MA. I attended the February – April evening classes. It’s a great school. They helped me accomplish a huge step in my life, a first step to a much brighter more promising future. I signed up for the Nursing Assistant program. It’s a 100 hour program, in which they provide everything necessary to get you ready for your state test. Signing up was easy. It’s a decently priced school. And one of the few in which are still open during this pandemic. Debbie owns and runs the school. She can be a bit scarce and hard to get a hold of but she’s honestly got so much going on with all the programs her school provides and getting them together for both attending and up coming students. My CNA instructor was very professional, great with communication and very thorough with teaching. She is willing to go the extra mile to help you with anything you need to learn or practice. She made sure myself and my class were well prepared for our state test. Coastal Career Academy provides you with both morning and evening classes which is great for anyone who needs a flexible schedule for attending Coastal Career Academy. With the variety of courses they offer you honestly can’t go wrong. I recently passed my state test on both my Clinical and Knowledge test. I couldn’t be more happier and I plan on coming back for a few more things like CPR and EKG. The school is very unprofessional and the director will rip you off. Although my teacher was kind and put a lot of effort into preparing us for our CNA state test, she was not trained or prepared to teach us because the director (Debbie) hired her on the day classes started and didn’t give her the proper material to teach us with. Who has students pay a down payment for a class that may or may not have a teacher? Many payments made by the students were lost and misplaced and the director tried making it seem like people owed more than what they actually did. She just cares about the money. The secretary even agreed that the director will rip you off. Our class complained about not feeling prepared for the state test to Debbie. She demanded a mandatory skills class for two days, only did it for one and said “we’ll be fine”. People who shouldn’t have failed, failed. If you are looking into local schools in the Fall River area for CNA, Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant etc. I highly recommend Coastal Career Academy, I was a little hesitant on going back to school but the owner and instructor Deb Gomes helped me break out of my shell and nipped my what if attitude in an instant. You don’t just learn from Deb or any of her instructors you become family. From dealing with stressed out students nervous about state exams, or taking time to help with job placement even after you have been certified they continue to be there. Also you cannot beat the prices for each program either, if you are considering a profession in healthcare Coastal Career is definitely a great place to start. Most of the instructors are amazing. Shoutout to Jack and Matt, they really helped me a lot. This is all about what YOU the student put into it. How bad do you want it. If you work hard and simply just show up every day, I guarantee you will get your CDL-A. If you slack off, don't show up, have an attitude, complain, then maybe you won't. If you don't put in any effort, then don't expect any effort back in return to you. Many complained about the bad trucks, and that a few instructors that didn't seem to care. Yes the maneuver trucks are old and falling apart. The school should get some more trucks, I agree. However, none of the road trucks were in bad shape and I got plenty of time on the road. This isn't a place where they spoon feed you like a baby. They wont coddle you. Don't understand something? Ask. Nobody taught you a pretrip? Ask. If you don't ask, nothing will happen. Need to set up your test date? Ask. You get the point. You are an adult, and they treat you as such. You need to show up everyday, try your best, and not hesitate to ask questions. The reality is this is by far a perfect school. Sometimes I felt like the place was disorganized, and the trucks were broken, etc. But, it is the oldest and best in the state. I am still in school, my level of frustration is high and my perspective is bias. But up to this point my experience at school is fresh. Here the instructors are experience drivers, good people, but most of them lack teaching preparation. The curriculum is not followed and that create a lot of waste time. I have to agree that the management is doing miracles at the Somers campus. The equipment is faulty, Old and shameful. Is very difficult to do your maneuvers when the power steering is faulty, your air brakes leak and your instrument panel looks like a Christmas tree. In short, this branch of the school looks like the junk yard of the school. Overall was good good experience. I enjoy meeting people and the few instructors I interact with were very knowledgeable. It was reassuring know they were currently working in the field. Even tho I had a military background driving trucks with air brakes and trailers, I still need a little more. NETTTS did provide that extra lessons I needed. Only thing I would say, not in a negative way was the one on one time was very limited and you definitely had to put yourself out there by being persistent. The chaos didn’t bother me much but I seen some students were somewhat frustrated in that process. I just graduated from the CNA/HHA program a few weeks ago and I can say that I had a great experience. My teacher Wendy was great and she helped me and the other girls get thru it. At times I thought I couldn't do it but she always motivated us and was always positive. She called us future baby Nurses. Our group of girls were amazing and the teacher made it fun to learn. I am so happy I got the opportunity to go to school here. This is not a big school its small but you will get a very good training. I had such an amazing experience at the Fieldstone School. Not only did I get all the education I need to get my CNA, but also made such great connections with my fellow students and my teacher. Miss Wendy was my teacher, I graduated about 2-3 months ago now and we are still in contact. I have my first job as a CNA, she’s always checking up on my seeing how I’m doing, how the job is going. I’ve never came across a teacher who has truly cared so much about her students. I recommend this school to ANYONE interested in the healthcare field. The Fieldstone School is definitely the place to go. From the staff who helps with everything from the first day of admissions, the entrance exam to the CPR class, they are all the best. My instructor Wendy went above and beyond each day with us to ensure we were engaged, energized and ready to join the world of healthcare. I went to PC in Enfield CT for their automotive night classes. Their curriculum (if you could call it that), tought very outdated mechanics on old vehicles. (Passenger vehicles made prior to 1999 or so) Their curriculum will not help with a career working on modern day vehicles. Their tool cage was a joke with loads of missing and broken tools and, forget about any specialty tools. There was a huge disconnect between the curriculum tought in class and what was happening in the shop. They didn't have the resources to give hands on experience in the shop for what was being tought in the classroom. Their Engines set aside for teaching were so incomplete that they were complete jokes. They didn't even have one Transmission to use as a teaching aid. On top of the downfalls of PC's curriculum and lack of resources, my original teacher unfortunately got sick with pneumonia but, the school didn't have any teachers to replace him. The assistant teacher quit after the school hastily replaced our original teacher with a mechanic who, let's say wasn't cut out for teaching. Vulgar and demeaning are just two of many poor qualities this teacher had, and he quit just a few months after starting, again leaving my class without a teacher. Eventually, I asked to bring in my personal cars to get this so called hands on experience. I brought in two BMWs and completely stripped one (which was in an accident) and swapped over most of the parts to a new "rolling" Chassis. (Engine, transmission, rear end, the entire front subframe, exhaust, shocks, brakes, etc) without any help or oversight from the teacher. I even gave them the high mileage but still good Engine and Transmission so the other people in class and future classes might have relatively new and updated learning tools. They said that they had a working shop that simulated working in the real world. In truth, the night class didn't get many jobs to work on. So again, we weren't getting much hands on experience. As someone who has worked in multiple shops and garages I can confidently say that their shop did not replicate an actual working environment .I would have rather received a decent education over making the school a bit of extra money. For the record, I did graduate from PC and their night classes were supposed to have the same curriculum as the day classes. I myself already had a good amount of automotive knowledge before taking their classes and since have had jobs with Monroe muffler, Volkswagen, and have built and customized my own cars but I can say without a doubt that PC wasn't the reason for any success I've had since. Except for receiving a diploma that helped me get my foot in the door. Otherwise, any student without any prior automotive experience or knowledge pertaining to the automotive industry we're getting a good education from Porter & Chester's poor curriculum and lack of resources. Dont walk, run away from this place! For 33k, you would have pretty high expectations with which they do not meet up to. Yes, this is a excelerated course, so things would be more fast paced, but not to the point where they are not trying ro teach you, its more of trying to make sure they go through the agenda. Literally, you have class on 3 chapters then homework and a test on the material the very next day and then boom on to the next several chapters. I am highly intelligent, but even the smartest person will need more work and time then 8 hours to learn material. Expecting to graduate within 15 months, hah! Think again! They are so backed up people are waiting MONTHS after their expected graduation date before even starting clinical to graduate.( something they may forget to tell you). Schedules are always mixed up, and grading on test is always wrong, so you have to be weary of that as well. Then, they dont even let you see what you got right or wrong on test! How can you learn what you have learned correctly or incorrectly without seeing what you got right and wrong? Ugh. I could go onnnnn and on about what is messed up here. Oh, and the supplies and uniforms they give you, cheap cheap cheap! Like, dollar store cheap. I had to go out and buy my own stuff.Ariel Mendez

Don't waste your time with this one boys and girls. After enrolling and completing EVERYTHING, they informed me I would not be able to start at my chosen campus and would instead have to go to Rocky Hill. Ok fine. I already put in my notice to end my job so what choice do I have. Then they conveniently forget to inform me that the hybrid program has been changed to fully on campus. Whatever. Here's what got me. 7 days before starting the program they call to tell me they are changing my start date to 3 months later due to issues with clinical rotations from covid. I uprooted my entire life for this school and they back stabbed me leaving me scrambling to start a new program in time. Now I am requesting my transcripts from my previous schooling there in 2012. Hopefully they pull through quickly or I will not be able to start my new program. Porter and Chester needs to shut down because they aren't doing anyone any good. UPDATE: thank you to the front desk woman who helped me get something similar to a transcript. You saved me. I'm sorry you work for such a dump.Casey Tammaro

Very good location with lots of free parking. The building is newer and very clean. They offer many different programs for unemployed workers such as computer classes, resume writing and use of computers for job searching. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They also have onsite job fairs and help answer any questions you may have. I highly recommend giving them a visit if you're having trouble finding a job.John Papasodora

Mom lives in Western Massachusetts. My family and I live in Kentucky. While Kentucky is not exactly the tropics, I can’t even talk to Mom about moving to somewhere warmer. So, when she started needing help, I needed help. And I was feeling helpless. Just by chance, I found Excel Nursing Services. When I called, I spoke to a lady named Heather. I am not sure what it was, but I could immediately tell that Heather “got it”. Clearly, they have experience with people in my (and Mom’s) situation. My helplessness disappeared almost immediately. That same attitude, fortunately, was carried through by everyone on the Excel staff that has worked with Mom ever since. She says so every time we talk. (She would let me know if it were not the case, I can assure you!!) I was, frankly, lucky to find Excel and wanted to take the opportunity to share my experience.Roger McManus

EXCEL-lent support from the administrative staff that consistently meets the challenges of scheduling this Nurse like many other Nurse's trying to balance family and career. Our family entered into a contract with Excel Nursing Services to provide daily care for our elderly, very compromised mother. We were required to provide a security deposit of over $1,000. Excel failed to provide the care we agreed to, never created the care plan, and consistently called us to say there would be no one coming for Mom on the few days someone was scheduled to come. When we needed them the most, we were told we should try to find a different service provider. Their dedication to patient need failed miserably. The detox in spfld, ma is only good for people with no insurance or for those with any form of Masshealth who have no choice but to go to a state funded facility. When I say state funded I mean you will receive minimal services and care, and be housed in a run down, extremely uncomfortable facility with overworked and understaffed personnel. There are staff that care and then there is staff that just work there. I understand you can't expect much when your receiving state-funded services. This is just so you know what your getting into and what to expect. Some one had to leave a review as it was well overdue. Don't expect any type of luxury what so ever and be ready for minimal care and poor housing conditions especially the beat-up bathrooms. I will end this on a good note. I never felt unsafe and they are quick to remove violent or threatening patients. Security is never far. Plus this is just a starting point to get towards better services at a CSS or TSS and eventually in a decent residential program. No matter where you detox, it's going to be an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. As long as your will to get clean and stay clean, is strong, you'll be able to push through this. I notice that BHN seems to be rushing to cash in off the latest cash crop (Opiod Epidemic) while building and growing more facilities, programs, campuses,methadone clinics most def, etc. Its basically a modern day slash n burn operation. The bigger issue at hand here is the hiring of unqualified staff and lack of proper training. Its getting easier to retain clients during the Covid Epidemic because you got a captive and desperate market. Its a one hand washing another business. Thats why so many reviews express violations of policies,BSAS regs,SSA and HIPPA laws and Masshealth/ Medicaid insurance fraud allegations The new Criminal Justice system. Since the Feds have reformed incarceration of opiod dependent individuals due to enormous lawsuit settlements, BHN is picking up the slack! After speaking to a Living Room worker and explaining the situation my patient was in and after obtaining info, worker said to send my patient there without any indication of only servicing patients with substance abuse. When patient showed he was told it was only for substance abuse patients and that the only reason we sent my patient there was "because we were only trying to get rid of him." Super unprofessional and down right false accusations especially after calling around different places, looking up information online and even in their own site, calling them only to be bounced around three different times and getting permission from The Living Room staff… Needless to say patient called upset at the Living Room staff and I completely understand why. Today was professional development day (11/6/2018) and I understand that. Whatever. All I wanted to do was print my study guides out. So some lady standing In the library told me i had to leave. When i told her i just wanted to print my study guides, she told me the college was closed for a furniture expo and that I had to leave. I went to LLCC's gymnasium for a high school basketball tournament which my old high school was involved in. Concessions could be a hair better but everything was located ideally and open. Also the upkeep to the actual gymnasium was great, and they seemed to be on top of the trash issue. Very clean, we all enjoyed our visit!!!Kyle Wetherell

Every staff member, teacher, and student worker will go above and beyond to make sure you get to where you want to be. I started out in the after-hours GED program at OTC, took advantage of their AA transfer degree (and AS in Chemistry). The tutoring center helped me get through all my math and science classes, and the writing center assisted me in honing my writing abilities.Compared to my four-year college down the road. Pro: Small class sizes!!!, online tutoring, last night tutoring, easier access to student services such as financing, scholarship applications, superb (newer, in better shape) classroom & lab resources. Teachers are often are more accessible. Security has helped jump-start my car several times-very friendly and helpful! Diversity of class times: hybrid classes and late night classes. Often homework is online, with staggered due dates (great for someone working several jobs plus being a student). Cost $$$ was a third of another college and credits transfer anywhere!, Adviser took the time to tell me which classes transferred which way even went as far as introducing me to others for networking. Job/Resume career center was awesome. Cons: Campus/library/resources are closed over on Sunday, and overnight. weekend, all the lights off in the builds despite being open-feels creepy. Shared Cons from OTC & MSU: Teacher do not handout items to saves paper, blackboard has bogged down times/days, parking in the beginning of the semester is rough, food/drink prices on campus, government funding/waiting issues for paperwork.Snow Popis

I took my class back in 2016, and honestly it was really nice. Great instructor, and campus was easy to navigate. I did have to pay out of pocket because they don’t accept financial aid for non-degree seeking students, but getting and extra class out of the way felt worth it at the time, despite the financial burden. Here I am applying for my masters program and tried to log into my student portal to send over official transcripts of the one class. There was no record of me attending classes at all. After reaching out for assistance, I found out they disabled my student login portal after becoming an inactive student, and am unable to send my transcripts for the one class I took back in 2016. According to help desk support, only way to enable my account would be to register again and set up a payment plan for classes? Thankfully they let me know there’s another way to get my transcripts sent, and that would be by contacting the student services office that is closed an entire week for New Years. I was told I could try emailing them just in case someone checked the email until then, but likely I wouldn’t hear back until January 4th. If you plan on just talking a couple summer classes, please keep it in mind that you’ll have to deal with this inconvenience one day.Wiley Loyd

I'm a returning student, and I had to drop out for various reasons that I won't get into. But the support staff have been amazing and helpful and have aided me every step of the way to get on track. I truly believe that there are people here who only want to see the students succeed and will do whatever they can to make sure that happens. Of course you'll always get some bad with the good but I have received no judgment, and there are programs and tutoring offered for those who are having a rough time. If I could give this "college" zero stars, I would. I took a few classes there for a week and a half because I needed some cheap credits in order to graduate early from my real school. I'm not typically a judgmental person, but after about ten minutes I couldn't believe how much of a joke it was. First off, the place reeks. Like I'm not sure how it's scientifically possible for any building to smell that bad. Furthermore, two of my professors could barely speak English and another one was extremely uptight and treated the students like 3rd graders. You know it's bad when your Spanish teacher's comprehension of the English language is spectacular compared to the other teachers. But what was most pathetic was a large portion of the "students." Most of them clearly didn't want to be there, which is ridiculous considering you're paying for further education so you should want to be in school. A lot of kids were clearly low functioning, ignorant, and unmotivated. The one moment I'll remember for a while was when a kid had to get escorted out because he was on meth. I hope he can get help with his addiction, but you can't have students coming into class drooling and expect anybody to take this place seriously. So, you get what you pay for. I wouldn't recommend the school to anyone who is evenly remotely educated. I've heard it makes illegal Mexicans hop back over the border because they realized they can get a better education on the other side.David Leicht

MassBay changed my life for the better. After attending a college that wasn’t right for me, MassBay saved the day. In my 3 semesters, I have had wonderful professors and the administration has been incredible. Transferring into and out of the school were made extremely easy, and I would recommend this school to anyone looking to work towards a degree. Everyone here WANTS you to graduate and succeed and you can feel that in all aspects of the college. (Wellesley campus): Student parking is (I think) free and in close proximity to campus. Advising, financial aid, and the bookstore were all very knowledgeable and helpful. All classes and administrations are all in one building. I have zero regrets about attending MassBay and I encourage anyone looking to earn a certificate, Associate’s Degree, or eventual Bachelor’s to see what MassBay has to offer!!Sarah Garofalo

The lady at student accounts in Wellesley seems unhappy with her job and gives you so much attitude for wanting to know why it's taking 2 months to get a response back from them. If they owe you money good luck trying to get it back. If you have any issues you have to fight harder than a fish gasping for air in land.They lie about clinical sites they have for your internships,charge you so many fees for facilities that are never available or outdated.If your thinking about getting an education here DON'T!!!!!!!…your better off driving out your way to QCC ,Middlesex, or just apply to UMass, Worcester even Salem State.
