I graduated from the ADN Program here at Fortis and passed NCLEX a couple months after on the first try. My experience at Fortis was amazing. The nursing staff gave me the tools and knowledge I needed to prepare and sit for boards. I’d be lying if I said the journey was easy but it wasn’t. It was tough but not impossible. Nursing is no joke and one must really have a passion for it to be successful. There will be moments where you feel like giving up but that’s when you reach deep down inside of you and remember the reason you started in the first place. Every single nursing staff is there to help whenever needed. The professors may seem tough and Dean Lue but only because they truly care and want to see you succeed. I can’t forget about my fellow colleagues with whom I shared my experience with and who played a part in my success as well from the study groups we had to the late evenings practicing together on the mannequins for Capstone, it was worth it. I graduated the LPN program at this school about a year or so ago and recently became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Although there were many bumps in the road for me, the staff were always willing and there to help along the way. They encourage you and push you to not give up! Amazing. Miss Marva and her team are amazing!! 👏 ❤️ her program is so organized. The best thing about the CNA program is that it's up to 4 students max in the room. So we get allot of attention. Everything is hands on, your really performing each skill in real life. She also gives you access to videos of herself doing the skills u will need to learn to be a CNA and practice tests online that really help you be able to pass your CNA written exam. When u take ur exam u will be testing in the exact same room that Miss Marva taught you in, so u even feel more relax bc u kow where everything is.I couldn't of passed my CNA without the help of Mrs.Marva 😊 so worth what u pay for, u won't regret it! The class was ok ..for the CNA written or online test Portion You are given a book and 3 modules to do at home alone u can’t even ask questions so i don’t recommend if your a visual learner who asks a lot of questions … but i have been waiting for my certification for 3 months now i also don’t recommend if you want your certifications right away like i did . i’m still in the process of waiting for both my CNA AND PHLEBOTOMY big disappointment that i can’t get them i have been waiting to work and i wish this was told to us before we paid in full . nothing more i can do but wait and pray i get a test date for my CNA and my certifications for phlebotomy soon .Glossyshae Love

Thanks to Chancellor Institute I achieved my goal of becoming an LPN. Mr. Fortune and Dr. Scott helped immensely to get me through this program. It was difficult and challenging mostly due to the pandemic. However, I was able to reach out for help when needed and received assistance via phone, email and/or the school platform. One thing I have learned is that you must be dedicated, disciplined and consistent with your commitment to learning. The program is not easy but if you apply yourself and study regularly you should do well. The program became largely online because of COVID restrictions but the material was clear, available and help was always only a phone call or email away. I have spent time with Mr. Fortune who was kind enough to help with the math portion and Dr. Scott helped with resources to study for the exit HESI exam. I am really grateful to this program for helping me to better myself and my career. This is an excellent LPN program for the modern parent, student, or working adult looking shift their career into Nursing. Chancellor offers a fully online program which even adapted their teaching methods and clinicals to aide students in being successful during the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Scott, Professor Fortune, Professor Quinn, and the other staff/professors are great professors/educators who thrive in seeing students achieve their goals. You will constantly be supported and if you don’t understand a specific topic, they will work with you ensure you understand the concept in a format that is beneficial for you. Tutor sessions and study resources are available if it is needed. The cost of the program is cheaper than several other programs if not the cheapest and they allow payment plans to make it easier if you have other obligations. My wife is working as a Laboratory Assistant after being referred by this school. I noticed how her instructors provided my wife with extra help/tutoring outside of the scheduled class time. This helped build her confidence and becoming certified after her first attempt on the national exam. Plus, the tuition was there was extremely affordable (left us with absolutely no loans to worry about). Thanks to the great training she received at Chancellor; my wife's next step is to return there to become a nurse. I just got home from the BLS provider course and felt I had to review immediately. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. As a nurse and someone who has always worked in healthcare, I've taken many BLS courses throughout my life. Debbie A. is by far the best instructor I've ever had. She was so engaging and positive, it made me want to listen. I usually get bored during these things. Debbie, you're great! From the initial call I made to EMC, I was greeted professionally and sincerely. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. They are the most affordable in the area as well. I have been an ALS and BLS instructor for several years but in 2022 I decided to expand my skills as a Pediatric Instructor. My PALS provider card had expired so I had the experience of attending both provider and instructor courses. The Prep packet EMC provides helped me tremendously going into the courses.. My provider instructors , Rodney and Deb F. were so knowledgeable, patient and supportive. I felt so prepared for the Instructor course with Chuck. Chuck was also very knowledgeable and energetic! I have been using EMC for several years now and just recently did PALS with them. Bob? (I’m terrible with names) was excellent and his knowledge and experience with critically ill children was reflected in the course he provided. I learned so much! It has taken me over a month to write this, to gather my thoughts. I am heartbroken that I put my Mother in this facility. It was the worst experience for my Mother not to mention me, her daughter. Unfortunately she did pass away a week after being taken away from there in an ambulance. First off the staff is horrible. I will give a shout out to 2 LpN’s, Robyn and Ashley and an aid we had the last day, Josie. But their kindness is restricted by the administration there. I pray they find new jobs. My Mother had to be on oxygen 24×7, no exceptions. The day after she was admitted, I walk in her room to find her in the bathroom holding on to the grab bar for dear life fighting for air, no oxygen on while the aid dressed her. I said, hey she can’t do that she needs her oxygen, the aids response, “she is ok.” I went right to the front desk and had “administration people” in her room assuring me this would not happen again. That was a bold face lie. It did happen again and it happened a 3rd time being pushed up to the “nurses” station to be weighed. She passed out in the chair. These are Incidents that happened while I was there, I shutter at the thought of what was done, or lack there of, while I wasn’t there. On the day she left in an ambulance I was there until 11:15am, came back at 4pm with her right arm so swollen, red and hot and in pain and no one noticed this. They don’t check these patients, they look in the door and walk away. At this time LPN’s come to look and ask me if I want her to go the the hospital. Really? You are the medical professionals, supposedly. Needless to say, I wanted her out of there as fast as the ambulance could get there. To add a little insult to this whole experience, I wrote a check for her to have her hair washed and dried on the Friday the hairdresser came in, she was gone by then, and I shake my head that the check was cashed. If I could do zero stars that’s what this facility deserves.Patty Karner

Let me start by saying that I never or rarely provide reviews but this facility and staff deserve it. Initially we spoke with Jennifer the intake specialist, who set the tone for a professional and pleasant experience. They arranged transportation for our family. When coming into a nursing facility the feeling is of concern and dread that "my loved one is not at home". I didn't realize it at first but having a smiling helpful face helps tremendously. Genesis is always smiling and eager to help. Carless in the business office is very knowledgeable and helpful and provides valuable direction in this time of uncertainty. I don't want to miss the chance to pat Melissa on the back for being able to help with billing questions at a moments notice. The treatment team was fabulous and really made us feel heard and seen. Upon discharge facility Social worker Ronald stepped in and set up discharge care for our family. He was caring and detailed. At the end of our time with Tiffany hall. Therapy program was excellent DON, and Admistrator were evolved and ENGAGED. My family genuinely felt taken care of. Terrible follow up on calls. I called to speak to director of nursing (DON) prior to her coming into the office for the day as it was a time sensitive matter. I anticipated a call back in the morning hours. I was told she had a meeting shortly after coming in. I called back on my lunch hour as I hadn’t had a call by that point. At that time I was told she was in an interview, I’d receive a call after. No call. My father was DC from the hospital & pending transfer to Tiffany Hall – after I expressed a concern I had. Hospital needed an answer by 4, and I still hadn’t heard from DON. I called back at 3pm, she was unavailable as she was “with administration.” I was told I would get a call back. I didn’t get a call until about 3:30. After calling 3 times. Unacceptable considering I reached out first thing in the morning.Savannah S

Disclaimer: I have not taken any classes here, However, I have seen the campus and it is well kept. The labs are well equipped, up kept and generally good quality. Spoke to a student who was a senior for his bachelors in biotechnology and he was extremely knowledgeable about the courses and programs of study related to his field as well as seeming to be fairly intelligent, well educated, and mannered over all. It is a small but pretty campus where I would not mind spending time. The surrounding residential area is very nice as well, with newer shopping centers, a bustling commerce area, well paved roads, and favorable demographics (not researched on this, judging by appearance). The issues I had upon arriving were as follows: the student services office was inadequately staffed. This could have been a fluke because I arrived to campus on a Friday when there are hardly any classes in progress so fewer students on campus. Non-excusable though, was the female student behind the desk who I spoke to about the possibility of transferring there and she was relatively unknowledgable and not helpful in regards to information about courses offered, science related degree programs, nor did she know about the student population of the campus. Continually I was referred to visit the website myself for any information. She didn't even know if there indeed was a four year biology degree offered at her location. I did not speak with an adviser because there were none in at the time. Google actually lead me to the campus in error of outdated information as this campus of IRSC is no longer associated with FAU which withdrew from their premises and affiliation.kasey babee

IRSC has several locations to choose from across the treasure coast areas: stuart, vero beach, Port Saint Lucie West, Fort Pierce…and the campuses are always clean, well kept and beautiful. IRSC has a lot of great resources: libraries, Study Areas, Student Support Services, Cafeteria, Student Organizations, Student Honor Societies, Community Service Opportunities, Career Services, Professional Development Seminars…opportunities for wholesome student life and development. IRSC has great professional Instructors. From my BAS program, they all were helpful, resourceful, and experts in their fields. This school doesn’t answer the phone, and when they do they cannot solve any problems just people bouncing you around to multiple other people who can’t fix anything. I’ve been trying to get in contact with the dean of math (Anthony Dribbens) for two weeks and have yet to get a response. I’m taking a math class at the moment and we take it through mml which marks some answers that are right wrong. But the professor is reluctant to correct it…. don’t go here for math your grades will fall….. and if you need help don’t bother calling or emailing they’ll wait until the end of the term to fail younellywitda 9

STAY AWAY or else you will be down $200 from non-refundable fees for the first appointment or without a degree!!! Learn from my mistakes please! Here's my awful experience with Keiser University: I called to request information. Over the phone the lady (I found out later that this was Constance Bogle, Admissions Counselor) asked if I was working. I said that I was unemployed and she told me to come in with an appointment for that day directly after our phone call. I asked for the next day instead. I wanted to see the place and get information because that's what their website says that I was doing. (Once the appointment happens Ms.Bogle says at the very end that I would need to pay $200 upfront for this next day appointment when she knew that I was unemployed.) I was not told that I would need to bring in any money for this appointment. I wanted an information session. I did not want to attend college. I was manipulated into registering for this college. Now I need to figure out how to withdraw from this lousy "Educational Institution". I was sat down in a random room all nice. It was basic filler conversations that any pedestrian could have said to you while waiting in line to check out at walmart. Things like: college gets you a degree, you could earn a lot of money, times are hard right now. Towards the end of our appointment I got a crumb of information by accident. She even remarked that she should have said that earlier too. Basically, the students take one class for a month and then they move on. I did not want to be registered into college. I also did not do the entire registration by myself!! I was shown a laptop and told to fill out the questions. I filled the questions in because I thought that this computer would help to show me information about Keiser University. Ms.Constance Bogle wasn't telling me anything so I thought that the computer would instead. I was not asked If I wanted to register and I was not told that what I was doing was registering for Keiser University. I only realized later when she kept saying that I would be attending college at the end of August. In my mind I knew that I did not want to go so I just sat there in awkward silence. After filling out the questions that made me registered into Keiser University, Constance Bogle then takes the computer and does the terms without my consent. She shows me the screen and starts rapid firing through the terms with a single statement about each term. I did not verbally consent to the terms nor did I physically consent to the terms. Ms.Constance Bogle (Admissions Counselor) did that herself. After this Ms.Bogle says very quickly that I would need to pay $55 and then $145. I did not understand her because of how fast she was speaking. I had assumed these were fees for registering with the university. I did not think that I was registered so I assumed that I did not need to pay those fees. Thus I did not verbally question them. Ms.Bogle keeps speaking and says that I could pay the fees later in the month and then she says that financial aid could help me to pay these fees. The statements were a complete lie because after financial aid she brought the comptuer in and demanded for me to pay upfront. I am so disgusted at how an established non-profit university could take advantage and scam innocent people. I truly am horrified and embarrassed from this experience that I do not wish to attend college ever again (my experience with IRSC isn't any better). I was told over voicemail that I would get my refund of $55. I also tried to work with the Keiser University Bursar for my refund. I still have not received my refund and I'm not withdrawn from this horrible Keiser University 2 weeks later!Anna

I graduated with my bachelors in nursing from Keiser, Port Saint Lucie campus and would not recommend it to anyone. It was such an inconsistent and disorganized nursing program. They tell you to be flexible but what they mean is be flexible with there disorganization. Also not a good look on how the professors like to gossip about students to other students/staff, it always makes it back to that student some way. If every cohort complains about the same ongoing issues, why have no changes been made? Pretending to listen to the students and act like you care with no actions to back it up is the same to not listening at all. Just another money hungry school. Numerous times grades were put in incorrectly, numerous times questions were put on exams on topics we weren't even taught yet, numerous times correct answers on exams were marked wrong, numerous of times skill check off were inconsistent because each professor does it differently ( if we are taught one way , we should be graded on that way ), numerous of times professors have been disrespectful but of course it only matters when the student is disrespectful you know the paying customer who is fed up with the lack of education/treatment they are receiving, numerous of times test percentages are increase semester after semester even though the program is already hard as it is. Literally everyday they showed us they could care less about our concerns. One professor even said to all of the students " All you do its complain" -,- great customer service. I got a call from the admission counselor for the BS program in nursing. I was very excited. The admission counselor helped me to finish the process. The head of the program seemed nice. My classmates were kind and respectful, except some of the students who had used the street language, and the faculty was ok with that because "they paid a lot of money for the classes." Also, I soon realized that the majority of the instructors did not have any teaching degrees, and that they were mean, disrespectful, and not professionals. Since I had already paid a lot of money for the classes, I could not drop them. So, I wanted to retake some of the courses due to my tight schedule and low grades. The head of the program played a double role. She did not want me to retake the classes because she wanted me to pay again for the classes. So, I missed the opportunity to retake the courses. They know students by their money, nothing else. I got the worst experience from Keiser University. I never want to go back to this school again, and I do not recommend my family members and friends to go to Keiser University as well.Mustafa Orokzai

My mother was a resident for 9 years. My mother in law was a resident for 3 years. I saw many changes in 9 years, some good, some not so good, but if I had an issue I discussed it with the proper person & it would be corrected. My mother was in another facility before LIFECARE & she was beaten so badly that she was in a coma for 10 days. I was very cautious & researched a lot of facilities before I settled on LIFECARE. No facility is perfect, and I understood that, but the majority of the staff did their best to keep my mother comfortable, active & cared for. All in all, the facility is very clean, they have a good Activities Dept. & the administrative staff is accommodating. They could use more nursing staff, but all facilities could use more nursing staff. The food is average but the kitchen staff tries to provide special requests. They have to deal with many different diet restrictions. I took my mother out often or brought food in for her. I think LIFECARE is one of the best, affordable facilities that I had found.East Coast Karen

I just spent the last two and a half weeks in life care, when I came in it was in an ambulance after having surgery, a total knee replacement. at the time I could not walk, and upon being admitted to life care, my stay there was completely a great experience. the dedication with the recovery program has to be one of the best in this aria. nurses, and the lady's to help you in your room were the best, but as for the therapist, there are not enough words of how they took such wonderful care of me. my therapist (Gelila ) truly a dedicated young lady that has but one goal and that is to make you have a better quality of life after you leave life care. so glad I made the choice to come here. My father left Lawnwood and went to Life care for physical therapy and rehabilitation. The staff has been nothing but exceptional n all areas. It wasn't his first choice, that facility had no bed available. Thank God, Life Care has been a blessing. They're attentive, on the task, and keep the atmosphere upbeat and positive. When our elderly go into the hospital with serious issues, depression could overwhelm. Not the case at Life Care, instead of a feeling of dread and giving up, they refuse to allow the patient to fall n to the depression state of mind. The school is pretty good, the staff may be not always on point but teachers are generally nice. Though the students could use a bit more work in terms of behavior. All the 1 star reviews in the bottom are with people pretty salty about the school, except for that one kid that got suspended. But theres new administration and the schools picked up its pace. Recently, Dress code has also gotten less existant. From my experience, well. Uh, the students are the worst out of all of the factors of people there, staff is sort of helpful but it's clear they don't want to be there as much as they are. But the teachers are the most genuine and nice out of the whole populous. With the students, they're too independent and too used to always getting good grades. Hell I see people complain about their low grade when they don't do anything in class. They expanded the IB program to let anyone and everyone in. It was meant for the bright, gifted, and talented students, not your everyday student. There aren't any windows and they lock down the school like if it were a prison. The graduation was far away and in an open hot humid area. The assistant principals have very negative personalities and the students intimidated for no good reasons at all. The only thing that makes it bearable are the fantastic teachers and the couple friends you make along the way. I went to this school in 2014 .I experienced everything they taught me once I got in the field. I had DYNAMIC instructors Mrs GINA, THE OTHER Lady RETIRED TO BE A GRANDMOTHER , Mrs. K , Dr. Adduci. I mean it was a time when the instructors were in it with us…..not sure how it is now but then we felt loved we knew they faught for us. The school isn't easy but it's possible. I can say I'm proud of the education I recieved at Anho. I would have loved to do my RN there but it is to expensive. CONS when I was there the test material seem to not be from ATI. if your going to HAVE THE STUDENTS READ AN FOCUS on ATI THEN GIVE THE QUESTIONS FROM ATI. When I attended I knew students with 3 different nursing books I refused to be that person. I think it's a great school it just need to change the testing style not sure what it is about learning that it has to be so difficult. Learning should always be a fun loving environment. My advice to future students. Sit down shut up talk less listen more you might be an A student today just do not feel like u will be an A student throughout. For the struggling students you can do this a little less sleep less phone and play time, play when its over. students with decent grades get arrogant real quick and feels as if they know more than the instructors. That is a BIG NO NO stay humble throughout because it isn't over until it's over. Next if u have drama in your life your life or like to cause drama….you want make it, this program needs 100% or it want work. Be kind to the nurses that are TRAINING you for free without extra pay they are taking out their workday to be distracted by you. Again ask question but DO NOT CRITICIZE what they do, your old enough to know that in life there are 3 things. The way things should be, the way things could be, and the reality. Know the difference. I went in this school last 2 years ago , I went there because 1st I got student loan easily 2nd I was easily accepted but the catch there was big , the work load there was extremely big , my class started on 2014 with 66 students, and after a year of program only 22 left, and when there was almost end of the program only 7 people remained , among those 7 people , some got depressed and gave up because they couldn't passed exams. It supposed to be 1 Year program but it took me 2 years and didn't graduate , there were times only 1 person passed out of 22 students , 7 students out 35 students. Only 1 person graduated from my batch , which started with 66 students. I had spent 2 years in that school and got 11000 $ student loan debt because of this school without graduating , now I couldn't transfer any of the credits from that school although I had spent my money and time there. I've never seen a Director or staff more dedicated to helping underprivileged students who might not otherwise have a chance for continued education to better their lives & the lives of their families. I would give this place a 5 star review if it were not for the extreme discriminatory commets made toward me by the ged nurse who is a certified doctor due to the fact that I have mental health issues and her assistant. The fact that those people were never disciplined by the school disgust me. Also the student sucssess president coereced me in to meeting with him by denying me the ability to do classess until I met with him he even would not allow me to to record the meeting for my own protection aginst any possible false accusations. On a more positive note I spoke with a staff member on 11/6/21 about the fact that due to some faimly issues that I would be putting my education on hold this lady was very understanding and hopesI will be able to start after the new year.cody teller

Honestly, there are better colleges. Ones that are more helpful. You pretty much pay for a class and teach yourself if you do anything online. Very dew good professor's left. The River Shop and Bookstore are not helpful and slow. Any person I have asked for information either takes a long time to respond, tells you they cannot find you or is discouraging. Disappointing to have such a "great college' but students do not seem to be a priority. If I wasn't a few semesters in I would look for a new school.Rachel Diamond

Staff was very helpful and efficient, grounds are well maintained and the buildings are clean inside and outside. The college also offers a wide variety in area of study programs with various days and times. Check it out, you may find the right program for you.Marjorie Lattibeaudiere

Feden is a joke i would not recommend this place to no one. The instructor is rude and catches little attitudes whenever she is asked a question or put on the spot. This is the worse experience i have ever had. The clinical skills set up is bootleg and you are not properly trained. Beings it wasn't my first time doing a cna prep course i knew what to suspect but was in total shock when i seen there classroom and testing room.I would recommend spending the 340 and going to paramount if you are serious about becoming a cna. You are taught by a student that she has chose to train to be a teacher. Which is fine and all but the student who is teaching only took her state exam 7 days ago.when you pay 300 dollars you expect to be trained by a qualified individual not someone who has no actual experience in the field.Especially not someone who you have to correct and tell them they are doing wrong when your supposed to be the student.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT BECOMING A CNAJanessa Streate
