A good school where you get out what you put in. Many trains stop within walking distance and buses as well. Just like any college, depending on your major, you will find good and bad professors. So always make use of the rate my professor website. I had a very pleasant experience. The administration was more competent than other schools I went to and my issues were always solved within a reasonable amount of time. The facilities I had to use for my major were in even better condition compared to some four year schools. The wifi coverage was good. Plenty of cafeterias with the best one being in the E building. Plenty of food trucks with different types of foods. Lots of seating areas with electrical ports. The class scheduling was workable with enough sections to fit almost everyone. Can't speak for any other major but it felt like that overall. They are always hiring new adjuncts so it's not the same professor teaching that one section you need all the time that everyone says is horrible. Always stay on top of your things if you want to have them resolved quickly. That's the part you play in your college years. The hand holding stops after High School. All I can say is, relax a little and have some fun. At the end of the day grades won't show the strength of your character after all is said and done.Mounia B

It seems like professors like the one I got Professor Arnold who acts likes she is going through the motions and don't there . i felt I waste my time and money which I paid out of pocket in her class and is thinking about leaving the college. She is one of the worst teachers/professors i ever had . I think cause it a community college a lot of them are mad cause they can't teach in a four year college through out of the community colleges in NY LaGuardia is the best . That being said she is the third professors that I had that sleeps walks through their class and I had another one that did something that weren't cool and I didn't show up for her class and never got an apology from her. I say if you over 30 years like me this college is not for you. Im currently in my last year at LaGuardia (majoring in business) and i have to say the Business department is full of AMAZING professors. Classes are really easy (most of them except accounting unless you're good at it) and the students are cool. I, personally, never talked to anyone or made any friends because I'm not an outgoing person. The school is constantly going under renovations and they just finished the new library and it looks AMAZING, as if it was a library from an ivy league. Food isn't that great but what do you expect, its school food [not free of course]. As F-1 visa international student, I would say that ASA College is a great place for our educational and career goals. Professors are responsive and very collaborative as well as helpful. During my education in ASA College I was able to make friends with students from different parts of world. The most of them are my lifetime friends now. Classes are not too big. Therefore, providing a tremendous opportunity to study and excel your knowledge and/or skills. ASA College gave me the opportunity to get my first degree in Medical Assisting in the USA, and also to gain useful experience through work in the admission office. To whom it may concern: i saw lot of good reviews thought of giving a try , as because of Covid situation Teas exam was given from home but the representative here is not good at all the information provided is limited and at the day of exam the product key doesn’t work there is no technical help at all I called Derrick Gordon hundreds times but it was very difficult to get through the first attempt at Teas it was very stressful with the setup and all and the institute doesn’t pick up the phone the exam ended in the middle and I failed and again on second attempt the product code didn’t work and it was very frustrating to call her multiple times And again result was not good .i lost my money and time here there is no help from then representative , the communication was very bad .It seems like people working in this institute were all forced to work and they didn’t have enough information what’s going on as a student I was so stressed of this situation . I suggest everyone to go through all their protocols and make sure everything is good before joining the institute I felt like they were biased on Asian people.I felt so bad because of their response. This is was the best Nursing school experience I could have asked for! I was a student enrolled right before the pandemic hit & I can tell you we did not miss a beat once we had to switch to remote learning on zoom. My professors, Director & staff continuously made sure the students were up to date with everything we needed. I continued to pass my exams without a problem. Pro: is considered a school for federal lones Cons: * administration staff was very unprofessional. They would wait until the last possible moment to send any information about a class. (One such time I didn't receive a syllabus until 6 minutes before class were to start) and another was lying to students about class dates (giving false class dates) * inadequate teaching of skills (before covid outbreak) *Preforming acts of Libel *Overcharging on the agreed contract amount These are just the stuff I have physical experience of. I’ve taken both Phlebotomy and EKG the past couple of months and I definitely feel very comfortable and knowledgeable within the education I received. This is a great school to attend if you have not been in school for a while or you’re going back to build your resume. The instructors are very helpful and never fail to help you understand the material before moving on to the next subject. This school has provided a fast pace and easy way to help me get back on my feet and into the work field. I had a wonderful experience. I started out doing the dialysis technician course which lasted for 6 weeks. At Access they have a payment plan, so you don't have to worry about having all the funds in hand. The teacher, Dr Varsally was excellent. He imparted knowledge in a way that was manageable to all in the class, must also mention that the class ssizes are small. Dr.V. ensured that all understood the lessons taught, he was always punctual to class, ready to do revision every morning on subject matters taught previously. The Allen School is a hidden treasure for academic excellency and interpersonal relationships with classmates, teachers, admins, career services, principal, dean and valuable staff members. Everyone here has been nothing but helpful and genuinely assisted me in every way possible. The best school! Flexible schedule and it is relatively not so expansive comparing to other schools. I practiced at this school for 12 years and did not once see the man, myth, and legend, EDP445. As I left the school, I heard a screech from down the street as the man himself sprinted at me on all fours screaming demonically about how amazing cupcakes are. Admissions office has one particular person who is very rude and she doesn't really help or guide you through the process.She does not make an already stressful transition any easier.(she sits furthest from the door.In front of the kiosk) Admissions also has another woman who is GREAT at her job she is helpful and very pleasant. Bursar's office Ali needs to get off his phone when dealing with incoming students.Sometimes we don't know what to ask. I did my CNA with Ms.Gooding and Ms. Anderson and they both are great teachers. They always push you to learn and they also teach with fun. I also did my phlebotomy and ekg with Dr. Henry . I went to that school for 3 years I got my GED from there and I did my computer class there also I had ms. Parker as my math teacher she is the best math teacher I know I haven’t meet anyone that know math as her yet. ☺️And I had my Bolton for my English teacher she is a great teacher also they are the best teachers I know in there , the other teacher is great to very friendly and kind but this two teachers got my heat they are amazing teachers.if anyone is looking to get they GED or CNA and lean about computers that’s the best place I know . My experience was great. The building is being refurbished or something. It's covered by contractor's protective material, but the service indoors is warm. I had to wait a little, as the receptionist was attending to others, however when it was my turn, it was worth the wait. She was polite, kind, thorough and patient. Comparing to community college, their institutions are higher. But they don’t offer a degree. The teacher sources are limited. Terrible service! The lady at the front desk needs training. When someone walks into your offices to ask for information DO NOT POINT THEM TO A FLIMSY NOTICE ON THE WALL!!(not shouting- CAPS for emphasis). To tell me that is all the information (cost and class times) isn’t all. I had to ask the requirements and when she suggested $200 upon registration, I asked what for? Here comes the attitude $50 for registration and $150 towards the course fee. FYI: none of that was on the wall. Even the security guard had better service than she did. SO DISORGANIZED. I received my first and second shots here and I brought my father here to get his this year and the experience EVERY time was great. They were incredibly professional and efficient THEN. THIS TIME?? Their system was inefficient and didn't take into account people with compromised mobility. The staff didn't communicate with each other well and that resulted in patients being directed and misdirected to multiple stations. I really hope they go back to the well-oiled machine they were in the beginning.Jocelyn Mann
