A good school where you get out what you put in. Many trains stop within walking distance and buses as well. Just like any college, depending on your major, you will find good and bad professors. So always make use of the rate my professor website. I had a very pleasant experience. The administration was more competent than other schools I went to and my issues were always solved within a reasonable amount of time. The facilities I had to use for my major were in even better condition compared to some four year schools. The wifi coverage was good. Plenty of cafeterias with the best one being in the E building. Plenty of food trucks with different types of foods. Lots of seating areas with electrical ports. The class scheduling was workable with enough sections to fit almost everyone. Can't speak for any other major but it felt like that overall. They are always hiring new adjuncts so it's not the same professor teaching that one section you need all the time that everyone says is horrible. Always stay on top of your things if you want to have them resolved quickly. That's the part you play in your college years. The hand holding stops after High School. All I can say is, relax a little and have some fun. At the end of the day grades won't show the strength of your character after all is said and done.Mounia B

It seems like professors like the one I got Professor Arnold who acts likes she is going through the motions and don't there . i felt I waste my time and money which I paid out of pocket in her class and is thinking about leaving the college. She is one of the worst teachers/professors i ever had . I think cause it a community college a lot of them are mad cause they can't teach in a four year college through out of the community colleges in NY LaGuardia is the best . That being said she is the third professors that I had that sleeps walks through their class and I had another one that did something that weren't cool and I didn't show up for her class and never got an apology from her. I say if you over 30 years like me this college is not for you. Im currently in my last year at LaGuardia (majoring in business) and i have to say the Business department is full of AMAZING professors. Classes are really easy (most of them except accounting unless you're good at it) and the students are cool. I, personally, never talked to anyone or made any friends because I'm not an outgoing person. The school is constantly going under renovations and they just finished the new library and it looks AMAZING, as if it was a library from an ivy league. Food isn't that great but what do you expect, its school food [not free of course]. I took Acting & Gymnastics classes growing up as a kid @ KCC; along with taking other performing arts enrichment classes @ Brooklyn College also while growing up, although Brooklyn College wasn't affiliated with my high school like KCC was. KCC has a great campus for a CUNY two-year college (one of the nicest in the CUNY system being right on Manhattan Beach) and is also the partner CUNY institute with my High School alma mater, Edward R. Murrow whom it operates the CollegeNow! program with. I spent my Junior and Senior years at Murrow taking KCC college-level courses taught by both Murrow faculty, and visiting KCC faculty (at Murrow) as well as commuting to the KCC campus from Murrow for additional classes that could only be taught on-site @ the KCC campus. It was EXTREMELY academically enriching to be able to enjoy a college level curriculum whilst still being in High School; and that was due directly to KCC's collaboration with my high school. My GPA went up as a result of the CollegeNow! program during my last two years at Murrow as did my SAT scores. I have KCC to thank for that. 👍👏👏👏👏Ben Schaeffer

Kingsborough CC has a very nice entertainment program, well-run and well-sited, with both indoor and outdoor venues. This year's 4-part post-pandemic return to their July outdoor series has been a real winner for the 3 weeks of it so far, with decent weather enhancing the winning combination. Performers have commented on how well-received they are when they come to perform there, from an enthusiastic staff that really respects their art, to receptive audiences. That reputation has allowed audiences to see a number of top-notch acts more than once there, as the artists appreciate that respectful treatment. There have been other events there, all of which were interrupted by COVID since it came around, so there will be needed time to get those back on track. There are cautionary protocols in place even now: those attending must provide proof of vaccination, with masks optional. Not sure of masking will or will not be required once the indoor events resume, but it certainly appears that the staff has kept up-to-date with everything necessary.N H Tanner

I don't know about the 2 other previous reviews which were negative but my experience at the college of Westchester was and always will be the best I've ever experienced. With smaller class sizes it makes it easier for professors to actually connect which each student, also student life is flourishing despite the downfall due to the rise of pandemic in 2020. And not to mention the facility staff are amazing and very kind as well as understanding I know some may argue that the cost is too much and the workload is too much but it's important to understand this is a private college not community college so of course it may be a little pricey and the workload is only Alot to some because it speeds up the time till graduation (instead of the standard 4 years expected till graduation of a bachelor's degree the college of Westchester has a expected 3 and a half years till ones graduation date for a bachelor's degree). The College of Westchester overall is a good choice if you want to graduate fast, are more comfortable in a smaller classroom settings and want more help from professors. This college is absolutely garbage. Charging students boatload of cash for class. 780 per credit is outrageous. 780*15 credit is $11,700 plus fees. Tuition is $35,100 with An additional $900 for student service fee, per semester. $500+ for books. CW name doesn’t hold any weight on you diploma. You will not get a job just because you attended this school. This college will leave you drowning in student debt, with no income to pay them back. If I could I would give them negative star. I have not started classes yet but so far this school has offered me the BEST guidance. The staff works one to one with each student, they don't rush or pressure you. They seem to be your cheerleader until you graduate and they don't let you fall. I love how friendly everyone has been, it motivates me to keep going. The school seems very small which makes me more focus more, a little pricey yes but the money is worth it when they provide you such a good team and service. I really can’t explain what I went through with the staff, so unprofessional and the attitude is horrible I always try to be as nice as possible but the way they treat people is awful. They literally screamed at my mom who does not speak any English for not having her vaccine card with her although she had picture of the vaccine but her phone was dead they yelled at her and did not try to help her enter the building at all. Once I came and approach them they was talking to me with awful attitude and yelling at me!!!!! although I respect the policy but they always could help in situation like this making everything 10X harder and unprofessional behaviour. WORST.SCHOOL.EVER!! I hope they close down for good VERY SOON! There's no motivation or inspiration at all in this school whatsoever. The counselors and teachers are horrendous!! For every 5 teachers there, only 1 teacher is decent! They hold back their students far too long from achieving their true potential and don't even get me started on the atrocious time consuming and full of adversity enrollment process!! If you're still stuck taking a remedial/non credit class; instead of being able to register online LIKE IT SHOULD BE FOR EVERY STUDENT, you're instead forced to go all the way to Valhalla to register for classes EVERY semester until you've passed ALL their pointless non credited classes! Very excruciating and appalling for any student! Their counselors are always putting down students, not one can potentially uplift you when it comes to succeeding in school. This school is entirely all a scam. They will give you classes that do not pertain to your major and leave the big fat F on your transcript if you fail it, even if you're a Math and Science student that was given a social worker class that has absolutely nothing to do with your program!!!Toki Sing

Miserable place. Professors don’t care. They have people who don’t speak English teaching the math department. Those in the financial building are miserable, uninformative and rude. Nobody communicates!! Financial Tells you one thing and the counselors say something different. Totally unorganized and made my college experience a miserable one. They prioritize minorities and even questioned me on why I’m not on financial aid. Teachers WILL fail you if you don’t agree with their POLITICAL views. Community college is supposed to be affordable, but they manage to shake you down for every little penny. I was pretty skeptical about going back to school during this plandemic and now that I’m back in school, I wish I would’ve saved my money. The website says lab classes will be conducted online but it’s actually remote. If you want to pay full tuition for a partial education, then this is the place for you. The people who work in the administrative building specifically the Bursar’s office don’t care. The administrative building is physically closed so the only way to communicate is via email. I, like yourself most likely came from a place most call “less fortunate” or “impoverished” and looking for a new opportunity I stumbled across Berk through influence of my father who encouraged me to join a trade. My experience at Berk taught me a lot about myself and how far I’m willing to go for myself and my future self. Berk, like any education after High school is a classic case of “you get out of it what you make it.”. So of course experiences may vary. What I will tell you though is that they have some great people in there, that if they see you putting in the consist work; they’ll make sure you are eligible for your certification at the end of the course. Saying that from experience, there was somedays I didn’t want to go to class and it was the heart of the staff members calling me even on days I personally didn’t want them to that kept me going and kept me showing up to finish the course. I’ll conclude with this, if you are prepared to change your life not only for yourself but your loved ones today and years to come; Berk Business and Trade School can bring you at least one step closer to that. I graduated Berk Trade in October 2021 (Electrical). First I would say I was in the medical field for years . So that been said I walked into Berk Trade and Business School blind , didn’t have a clue on how I was going to do it but I knew I wanted a change of profession. I met with Miss. Judy and she gave me all the information I needed but I got discouraged because classes would of started days later. Miss Judy called me and said remember to show up on Monday for classes and I remember I said to her I don’t have everything I need to start but she said no worries the staff will help and they did just that. I can definitely say I was very nervous at first and thought that i made a big mistake because there were only 2 females in our class of 19 students . My experience at Berk has prepared me with the experience and knowledge that helped greatly with a smooth transition in my current career. I love this school.. The staff is super friendly, all the teachers know who you are and want you to succeed… I graduated the LPN program and I loved all the nursing teachers. They are always there if you have a question and they want you to succeed. The director dr. Millenbach was there for me every time I came into her office with a problem, she immediately stop what she was doing to talk to me and help me however she could. I attended Career School of NY 10 years ago and it was one of the best experiences. I did the cosmetology program and it took just about 9 months to complete and graduate! I always recommend this school over any competitors because they are more affordable and you get the same proper training and education as you would anywhere else. I want to say that the Allen School of Health Sciences wasn’t my first choice. I only wanted to get more information about the school. My daughter recommended this school to me. I came and spoke to Ms. Hunter about enrolling in classes. I passed my entrance exam with flying colors and enrolled in their four-week course. I paid off my tuition before classes started. Something came over me before starting that kept saying “I’m going to be a failure” and that I shouldn’t bother to go. I called the school to cancel and spoke with Ms. Zabida. She was very strong and shocked about my statement and said she was going to have Ms Hunter call me. I spoke to my husband who told me that a quitter won’t win and a winner never quits. Soon after Joy gave me a call and said “Ms. Bucknor you can’t quit, you have to reach your goal.” I then spoke with one of the directors, Robert. Rob gave me some great advice and we ended the discussion with “Happy Holiday and I will be seeing you on campus next week.” It made me so happy to speak with them. The nervousness did not go away because it was a long time since I sat in a classroom chair. I even had difficulty sleeping. I graduated from Lincoln Tech in 2017 and now I have gone back for a refresher course! My experience at Lincoln Tech was great! I received numerous scholarships and was very well known amongst the instructors and staff! As long as you do what is expected of you you will do great! I have read many negative reviews on here about the school and staff you get what you put in to it like anything else! What I really liked is that you’re able to bring in your own vehicle and work on it! If you’re serious about going in to the field then all you need to do is pay attention, work hard and get your hands dirty and you will succeed here! Know matter what you’re always going to learn more in the field and that’s with any school I don’t care what anyone says that’s the truth! This school gets you prepared for the field as well as your ASEs! If you’re lucky enough you will have Mr. Lopez as one of your instructors he’s extremely knowledgeable since he was in the field for many years before he became an instructor. He will tell you stories of exactly what takes place out there in the real world of automotive! All the equipment used for teaching are old some don’t even work . The teachers here some of them are good people a handful of them don’t really give a dam . This school is definitely not an NYS higher education approved facility and if you read most of the negative ads placed here you would realize it yourself. They will waste you time and money. I'm usually not the type to leave reviews for anything but I feel compelled to leave this review because I had such a great experience. My instructor was Gail, she was amazing in many ways. She understood that people learn differently, and each person learns at a different pace. She was patient and flexible in her approach to make sure we all moved forward together and no one was left behind feeling confused or guessing. She made the class fun with relevant stories about her time in the field. I entered the class knowing nothing and left feeling like I was ready for the field. I actually am ready for the field because I was offered a position about 2 1/2 weeks after completion and I start on the 31st of this month. I HIGHLY HIGHLY Recommend Dialysis 4 Career as the school to prepare you for a career in Dialysis.Honest Mike

This school is the best school to attend!! I needed a second plan for myself since I didn’t finish college, so I decided to look up other options for myself, and came across this school. I’m glad I found it and did my research before applying. I finished the course in December of 2018. It took me a little while to find a job after for my own reasons, but I am currently working as a dialysis technician, and what can I say, this school really prepares you for it! This was an extremely good experience for me. I was intimidated by the online experience but it felt like an in person class!! My class was taught by Mr. Lamarr Holland. Not only did he ensure the class understood the material, we were sent notes via email to study with alongside our textbook. I also appreciated all of Ms. Angelique’s help with accommodating schedule and my documents. With this program you’re also connected with recruiters for possible job opportunities and internships. As students we were also provided with interview assistance. I would recommend this school to anyone interested in learning about becoming a dialysis technician. I took my NCLEX in total 3 times. The third time I decided to use ready to pass and it changed everything. I almost never write reviews but I had to this time. I did both the 5 day course and individual tutoring, the 5 day course helped me to refresh all my memory from school after taking a year off due to personal problems and honestly being terrified to book again. What gave me the confidence is my individual turning sessions. Ms. Savain made every minute count, she is not afraid to tell you where you lack and dive deeper into it until it is engraved in your head. I owe it all to her and everyone in ready to pass. I highly recommend Ready to Pass, this program and the instructors were integral to my passing of the NCLEX. The 5 day program, the one on one tutoring sessions, and the two books they provide are what helped me to pass. The state that you need to know your content in order to pass, and they’re right. With the resources they provided and the review session, I had all I needed. I passed the NCLEX in 78 questions, all thanks to RTP. I highly recomment Ready to Pass!!! I am so happy I was able to be in the in person review class last month. Ms. Gordon and Ms. Savain are two great nurses and have such passion in teaching the material. They helped with content and gave tricks and study techniques and made the 5 days fun and entertaining. i had a great experience at LINC and i would recommend this course to anyone looking to become a CNA. I had a pretty full schedule with work so I really appreciated all the available class times to choose from. Our evening instructor Ms Cecilia and Ms Stephanie is more than great they are AWESOME They are very knowledgeable and makes the class enjoyable. Front staff Ms Angie was always very friendly and helpful every time I went to practice, someone was always in the office—and i practiced for the few weeks after finishing class to prepare for the state examination I felt that the training I received here helped me to successfully PASS my state exam on the first try!Natalie Green

My teacher Mrs. Staphane and my other instructor at Linc Health Training Center, were professional, knowledgeable and were there to answer all my questions if I didn’t understand anything during my CNA course. I was referred to this training center for the EKG and Phlebotomy program, I must say I have no regret. Excellent services provided by the front desk staffs and Instructor (Dr. Singh), also the programs are very affordable. The environment is very clean and well kept. Dr. Singh is by far the best instructor I’ve came across in my learning experiences, his was of teaching is very easy to comprehend and to pass the EKG and Phlebotomy courses that he teaches. He is very patient, understanding and genuinely passionate with students. Dr. Singh is truly a “high source” sent because not only that his teaching ways is phenomenal, but he also mentally empowers you to be the best version of yourself fill with love, happiness and wisdom. This school is great, their teachers are beyond this world. I took some courses with Dr, L Singh and he was beyond wonderful. I also took some courses with Ms.Henderson on the weekends which taught us so many things that go beyond the practice. I loved my experience at this school since you can count that these amazing teachers will put on the effort and sacrifice to see you succeed not only on a professional level but also in life overall.
