Honestly, should have listened to everyone discrediting this school. Cheaper ain't better. This school has stressed me out and I've only been attending for one semester. They keep changing my aid amount, will not reimburse my refund and all together have made my college experience a nightmare in hell especially with me working full-time. It always something new going on with my financial information for the following semester and new requirements that were completed prior to me attending resurfacing. Who has the time to keep re-ensuring that they're getting the money they already previously accepted? It doesn't matter how early you send your FAFSA in, they will find a way to have it reprocessed so late that you won't recieve the amount you already accepted. Honestly, I want to withdraw this semester but my grades are so high it would be no point.Jazmyliena Martin

Very poor experience, people don't care about the disabled students, they had charged me over $1k for not helping me get into my classes and they've abandoned me in 2010. One star for absolute failure. Edit: 9/14/2022 this so-called trio program from Owens community college isn't helpful not resourceful of how am I supposed to go to college, they sign me up late not knowing I'm missing out on my assignments and these advisors in the school are lazy and rude like they don't care for the disabled students such as myself. Attended Owens and completed an Associates degree in 2001. Returned to a local area 4 year college to complete a Bachelor of Science. Due to the high cost and mediocre experience. I chose to take as many transfer classes as possible at Owens. A full time semester was a fraction of a 4 year college semester. Pretty rigorous course material and most importantly, courses are well structured, you could actually work ahead following the syllabus. Students and staff are pleasant. Have my 4 year degree, and returning to Owens for certificate programs to fill in the gaps from said 4 year college curriculum.Brent A.

Complete lack of communication with this school. No preparation emails regarding upcoming school year or events that are occurring. Nothing provided as to what our students need to be admitted to specific programs. As a result of a medical concern, my student struggled throughout the school year and significantly at the end. Absolutely no communication from the teachers or office staff. One teacher (now retired) told me "they should know what to do in the case of not attending class in person". Only one other teacher responded and was the only one with compassion. Once a diagnosis was provided, absolutely no aid was provided and my student was denied additional services or testing (for IEP). Even now my student failed 2 classes. I happen to keep up with their grades, but NO ONE from the school ever contacted me about these concerning behaviors nor advised us as to what our options were to make up these classes. I just graduated from Penta. I was in Business Office Tecnologies for 2 years. I was also in the Transition to work program for 1 year. Penta is a great school! Not only I made new friends, but I also learned everything I needed to know for life in general. The teachers truly care for their students and they want them to succeed. They also help you apply for colleges you want to go to and they support you. They even give you your passport when you graduate. I miss Penta so much and always will. It was my second home and my friends were like my family there. I will forever miss waking up early everyday to go to Penta! Penta is a great school! It is safe and they have high expectations for discipline. Our son is enrolled in the Advanced Manufacturing Program and loves it! Penta is a great alternative for those high school students who may be undecided on future plans and/or afraid of college debt! Going here truly changed my life I learned a lot in the fiber optic program in which upon graduation was offered and received a position at a top communication provider in the Toledo area. the leaders of this school were their for me while in school and upon graduation this school is a GREAT commodity in our community and I'm proud to have been apart of it.Alondria Wright

I recently attended whitmer this school year and transferred schools and still for two weeks after two requests were sent whitmer still has not sent my transcript to my new school so now I am failing all of my classes and for two weeks have been marked absent . I tried to call multiple times and no matter what time I call or how many times I call no one answers the phone. I really liked this school until all of this happened .rachel willardo

The year my child was enrolled it was very frustrating to get assistance during Open House and other events, whenever you have to go there for anything BRING YOUR CHILD WITH YOU to navigate. The staff is too busy socializing. If you call during the day you get transferred all over the place- get a direct phone number. Very rude staff first time there no one cared to even ask who I was or what I was there for only to find out that I was a hour early and the lady that was running the class originally called off I guess bc she wasn't there we'll go to my second class and the group facilitator was finally there and said I couldn't be there bc my referral wasn't sent over yet knowing she has spoke to my case worker and told them she was sending the referral but still did not allow me to stay and finish second class and as I'm walking out a class mate said something and the class facilitator said something in return then they began to laugh in my opinion that is rude disrespectful and unprofessional definitely not amused nor would I ever recommend this placeAmanda Westover

The revitalization center is the back bone of its neighborhood… They have the hardest Job to not only inspire our neighborhood but are home too.. God Bless them in all that they do!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is ridiculous. The lady at the desk was extremely rude and never gave my husband's paperwork to his caseworker. The caseworker claims she has tried getting ahold of him several times but there has been no missed calls. He however has tried to reach her several times with no luck and she never returned his calls. He had to call and talk to someone else in a different part of the agency to pass a message on to her for her to call him back. When my husband told her the paperwork was turned in and voiced concern about these papers being anywhere (papers that included copies of birth certificate and social security card) she laughed. I'm sure she would have been more concerned if it was her ssn just floating around for anyone to see. So many unprofessional employees in a place meant to help people.LSH

You really can't get help everybody is to busy talking amongst themselves to help you. You will leave there like you're a complete idiotl. I believe the workers are there just to guard the computers very short patient with the people coming in the door. I saw more then Homeless people coming in that really needed a little help. You only get an hour but 45 minutes of that is raising your hands trying to get the help you need. And don't have multiple questions your in trouble because their going to ask one question only then be back talking to their coworkers they have a job but with the people coming in the door would they really have a place to push in everyday I think the state should know about this two of gentleman minority the guy with out the glasses is goin5yo have an attitude everytime he has yo get up off of his behindCynthia Gordon

When I first contacted this place over the phone, the girl who answered asked me could she help, then as soon as I started explaining what I needed she started talking to someone else. SMH when she finally decided to talk to me again, I told her that I felt her behavior was rude.when I said that she became defensive and started arguing with me. After that incident I decided that I wouldn't have anything to do with Ohio means jobs. Months later I gave them another chance called again, spoke to someone that was so kind and helpful. from there this place has been helping me pay for school and helping me to keep gas in my car they have been so wonderful and I'm so thankful for them.Kanya Gonway

If I could give this school ZERO stars I would!!! When inquiring about the program, they will call you continuously, until you step foot on their grounds. Once you become a student, they will act like you are an issue, harass you about payments, override/cover up your complaints or issues that you report to the “higher-ups”. Which by the way they are “ALL FRIENDS” outside of RMA. No sense of professionalism, and not organized. When students voice their problems or concerns, faculty will send out retaliation emails to the students. Any changes that occur, you will not receive clear or proper notice in a timely manner. Your completely on their time. During the RN Program, I was asked to do a Kaplan Entrance Exam, ATI during the program, and HESI Exit Exam to “Exit” the program. Students will be successful in the entire program, but when it is time to exit the program, there isn’t any proper preparation/remediation for the HESI. It’s definitely not a Nclex Prep Class at all! Matters that do not have anything to do with HESI, will be discussed in this class. Do not go to this school! Please reconsider!Ruby Williams

Tomorrow should have been out last day of class ..should have received our certificates..this place couldn't even get us through clinicals and kept our tuition…they picked the wrong person to steal from…it's not over by a long shot..not one person graduated…no money was refunded…it's going to be a hard road..but we do what we have to do….I'm so sorry for all the young people who got taken by this place ..don't give up yet!!!!!!! ……….today is aug30..and I'd like to let you all know that I obtained an attorney …..received every last penny back from Richards academy ..as I said I would..why hasn't any one posted that all of Richards medical academy caregivers and cna's had to go to blessed homes this month Sept 2022 because he was shut down..don't know for what or how long ..but they all had to go to maumee blessed homeTerri austin

These reviews are fake and must be friends of Richard! This school is horrible! They discriminate against American students vs African students. The african students are allows to miss weeks of class and skip payments while the others are stalked by Pauleen she will tell the whole school your business, Jean is a lier, don't trust Joseph and Richard is definitely not there for the students I tried to report them to the board of Education with loads of proof. They're all friends and all connected, so I'll be hiring a attorney from Michigan, because this school is illegal and discrimination amongst other things I reported to the board is against our civil rights, HIPAA violation I can go on. Very familiar with "the Doug" as we affectionately nick name it. Nice big place, but the last time I went to a food give away was my LAST TIME. It's been a while since I went and it was not worth my time. The stuff they gave away at that time, I would not have given a goat. Old tomato juice, a pack of dry beans, a can of green beans, and some prunes. I said Wow. And never returned. I went there to vote one year and the workers had such ugly attitudes I left and did not vote. I haven't been back to "the Doug" for nothing else.Tamarah Lee

Unorganized no one in charge.Stood outside in cold for hour and a half only to be let in in more chaos. People yelling no direction.After the worst health fair I've ever seen you needed stickers to receive a Turkey that was not available. Then left came back and still no turkey.After thirty more minutes finally turkeys…but not enough.On top of that if you didnt have 15 stickers..no Turkey. Just unbelievable.Maxine Smith

Was intersted in renting for a repast dinner, however I thought it was extremely overpriced! I couldn't believe a neighborhood community center is charging that much to people in the community! Awful! They come in and check on you constantly, when they do the door squeaks very loud. I was taking my ANCC test for my certification in psychiatric nursing and they talked so loud I could barely focus. I finally stood up and told the lady I needed earbuds and it would be great if she kept her voice down about 10 notches.Sierra S
