20 Best G.E.D Programs In Minneapolis, MN (2022 Updated)

Think twice before attending this institution. I was enrolled to begin classes in the fall semester. One week before they began, DCTC contacted me saying they no longer offered the program that I signed up for. Again, ONE WEEK before classes began. This left me almost no time to scramble around looking for another school to attend for the fall semester. That kind of behavior is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. The whole process just felt off anyway. They were always slow to respond, they fought every step of the way when I presented transfer credits from another institution. I was somewhat relieved in a way knowing I wouldn't have to deal with them any further. What a waste of time.Adam

Didn’t have the best experience overall. The instructor for the automotive technology class was only genuine once while he was teaching me something. Every other time, there was sarcasm and rudeness when trying to ask him questions. Not to mention half of the kids (quote “kids”) in the class were constantly on their phones and messing around. I wouldn’t have minded, except that we were placed in groups, therefor graded as a group. I wouldn’t return for the fact that I learned more working 3 months on the job than I did going 6 months to school, not to mention it was paid for.Sebastian Dina

Received my second degree here and they accepted a respectable number of credits from a previous college. Someone from admin called me a year or so after graduation and asked if I had gotten anywhere with my degree. When he found out what I was doing and where I had gotten in life he nearly dropped the phone. Thanks DCTC for sending me places in life I didn’t think were possible. I currently attend a different college online. I have four remaining courses left of my program, three are offered spring semester while one isn't offered until fall. The one course I need that isn't available at my current college is available at Inver Hills which is why I enrolled in the course for spring. Upon completion, the course I take will transfer back to my original college so I can graduate spring. I have worked out all the details with my current college about this arrangement. I need Inver Hills to provide some bits of information and complete a form. I have spent the last week calling Inver Hills to which nobody responds. I have tried calling different departments-financial aid, admissions, etc. to which nobody responds. I have sent multiple emails to which I received only one response telling me to look at the Web site. Inver Hill's communication with students is terrible! This is ridiculous. What are the advisors and admission staff doing all day where they cannot be bothered to answer a phone call, email, or provide information?!Kat Elizabeth

I haven't even started the semester yet and have had everything that could possibly go wrong do so. They transferred my credits incorrectly which set back my registration by a few weeks, after two months my financial aid is still "processing" even after multiple phone calls being reassured it would be through the next day. Having no financial aid means my text book order was cancelled. And a week before classes start they dropped one of my courses putting me short on credits for graduation. No matter what time of day I call any department no one ever seems to answer and we play phone tag for days. All in all my experience seems to indicate that no one really cares about helping students and just goes through the motions. Happy the majority of my classes are online and I won't have to deal with anyone on campus for the most of the semester.Katelyn Niesen

I must ask those who complained about this school why did you enroll? I found my education and time here at Inver Hills highly useful. Why spend 64 credits when you can earn your 2 year degree for 60 credits and half the cost of your tuition at other community colleges? If you make the most of your time in school and do your work on time. You could get a lot out of it and done with a degree with the field of your choice. You can even take an advanced degree such as a Bachelors here. I love that I do not need to go to a main campus and take courses at IHCC. I am back to finish a few credits at IHCC and transfer to Metro State University to complete my Bachelors. Just like you shop for cars, the latest technology, and other stuff why not compare schools? They want everyone to attend classes on campus. Come on. They proudly and loudly proclaim "Saint Paul College – We're Back this Fall". There are multiple new COVID variants out now with record hospitalizations in MN but Saint Paul college wants us all on campus. My wife and I are both working from home. Our employees cared enough about our safety to let us do this, but Saint Paul college wants us all on campus. My wife is taking classes at a private college and they told her all classes will be online, at least for now. No need to risk your health and come in, but Saint Paul college wants us all on campus. Thankfully I did my research by talking to them and decided against going here. Spending a little more so that I can stay at home and take my Lit classes online. Don't bother with this place. If you can, spend a little extra and have the peace of mind that you won't end up in the ICU with a tube down your throat. There, I did my research so you don't have to. Feel free to call them. I havnt attended this school, & along with my experience so far & reading the reviews I may not. I have a degree; however, I work as a nursing assistant. I love my job, but I often see aids being treated pretty poorly. So, as I get older, I thought maybe I could look into being an LP . In this role, I could work fairly with the aides around me…blah, blah, blah. So I requested more information. I recieved no call back, only an email saying I had to put an application in. Eh, no. I want information from you, to see if this is a good fit, so I can decide if I want to put an application in….I guess, maybe within the bigger picture, I did get the information I needed.Jane Hallett

I ate at the City View Cafe at St. Paul College. This is the cafe that is operated by the students in the culinary program. I recently enjoyed the Valentines Tasting menu and it was fantastic. The only criticism I had for the meal was the shell on the dessert was a bit thick (I cannot believe I am complaining about dessert). It was hard to gracefully eat but it was so worth it. The combination of flavors was divine. If this meal was any indication of the talent these students have, we are going to have sone great chefs (hopefully in the Twin Cities area) in the future.Sharon Moen

When I first started signing up for my MBA I advised them that I had just graduated with my bachelors degree. My goal was to start August 5, and I submitted all my necessary paperwork and cooperated as such. When it got to my transcripts I was advised I could not start because the conferral date was not on the transcripts. The enrollment specialist told me to reach out to my previous school. I did and it was a hassle. I called the enrollment specialist at Capella to advise of the updates to only find out that Capella’s registrar team had already been in contact with my school. I wanted to start on the 5th as it was very discouraging to go through the process to be turned away at last minute. 1). Total waist of time as I took time out of my day to complete orientation and do what they advised of me. 2) I asked to speak with a supervisor who was very vague and could not provide the information needed. 3) I again called Capella to try and escalate the situation, but the manager never returned my call. I feel as if they had me sign up because they were the ones to get paid for each student to enroll and failed to educate me properly in the beginning, which is very misleading and discouraging. Since no one wanted to comply and take responsibility I will be escalating this to the BBB as this is not my fault and I should had been able to start in the promised time given and should have been educated properly.Tearra McCray

The worst university ever! They made me waste my time and my money from the first day, every time I communicated with them each counselor told me something different, and more than a month passed and I did not have an accurate answer on the status of my application, after a month a person from human resources let me know that I had to do my transcripts equivalency again on another website because the one I had already sent twice to them waiting for they review it (and that they themselves told me it was okay to do it that way) was not valid for them to take me into account to start the course this past October. 1- First time the transcripts were not encrypted, so they asked my to ask the institution they send it again but encrypted this time and I did it and sent it again. And after that they let me know that didn’t work for them. So I wasted my time, my money and above all the opportunity to start on the desired date. A very bad job of the staff. Very bad communication with the students who want to start there, and they also contradict each other. They all say different things and waste your time. They are also very rude. I hope that no one has this bad experience, nor misses the opportunity to start the course on the date they planned, and due to the horrible work of other people you lose opportunities in life.Claudia Espinosa

From the beginning of my Master's level school search, Capella stood out. I had a great recommendation from a friend already, but in researching complete online programs to work with my schedule, Capella checked all of the boxes I needed. I had a wonderful experience with my admissions counselor and continue to have great interactions with all communication. I am happy with all faculty thus far and feel that I am learning exactly what I need for my future as a school counselor. The course load is what I expected it to be and the time I spend on classwork is time well spent. I feel very confident that I will be prepared to enter the field of school counseling when I graduate. The very first thing Capella does once you are enrolled is to start you in a class to help navigate your program and get you familiar with the online format. This helped immensely and calmed my nerves for entering into a graduate program online. I feel very well cared for and have not had a negative experience yet! I’m currently going to Summit, Now Summit is amazing. It truly is, They will try and help. However, I don’t think that this is the BEST option for most people with children, or bills or that have to overall deal with not being able to work 8:30am – 2:50pm. I’ll explain why. First, Summit is free. That’s not a lie. They do provide you with steel toe boots and a computer to start. That’s it! See, Summit is only free because they only take part in grants from FAFSA. You cannot apply for loans, Summit doesn’t take part in FAFSA loans. This is conflicting with schooling. You’ll have to pay $2.50 every morning (RUSH HOUR) to get to campus if you don’t have a car and take Metro Transit. The 19, and C-LINE run directly in front of Summit. It is also $2.50 to leave campus, (RUSH HOUR) totaling $5.00 a day. Good luck! So, they give out discounted bus cards also….discounted. You have to pay out of pocket to get it. They do give out grocery cards I believe $400 worth. That is week 3, same with Bus Card. They will not give you notebooks, backpacks, pencils, or the required pants they tell you to have. Did I mention they do not allow for you to apply for FAFSA loans? So if you’re following, after they take your Grant money you get $0.00 for start up help. You get $0.00 to pay rent with, buy groceries etc. things that a college would normally give to any 18 year old. In other words, there’s a 18 year old getting a better education than you at the community college (Minneapolis Community & Technical College) less than 1.5 miles away, and of course. They do get FAFSA, Grants & Loans. Easily over $3,000 just to help you focus on SCHOOLING. Now, I’ve shown up to classes and the teachers are on Thanksgiving break. That’s FINE! But if the student doesn’t show up for that class no one is teaching, You’ll get a tardy or whatever they call it. Splendid! 2 stars, because it is FREE, it is a trade school. No you will not get FAFSA loans while schooling. They give out $2,500 week 18. 18 weeks and you’ve made $2,500. That is a joke. My rent alone is $1,145.00. They will offer you work study! It’s 2 hours a day at $15.00 an hour. When applying to Summit do not even think you’ll get any financial help from the government that goes directly to you. You will have to pay for transportation. You will have to pay for all your materials. You will have to pay. Pell Grant clears for $6,045 at most. Summit used all my Pell Grant and I didn’t get a penny to help with expenses! Thanks Summit! Glad to put myself in a hole so deep, it’s hard to see light. Thanks for lying to me about Financial Aide during my FAFSA appointment. Had I known I wouldn’t get financial help to sit in a classroom from 8:30am-2:50pm, I would’ve directed my wife and Newborn daughter to a different path. Not this one, Not by a long shot! One last thing, for you women out there with kids. I know one with 7 kids, when she expressed how she needed extra help and that after 2:50PM she’s completely done with schooling because she needs to focus on her kids.This was the response she got; “Don’t excuse yourself with excuses.” 👍Sunny Muhammad

Overall a great school and every staff who works there, especially Dr King, truly is living their dream (helping students better their lives). Ms. Crystal keeps track of every student, which is a really good thing because it shows how committed Summit is to their students. I was referred to Summit by my brother who had completed his electrician program and is now working as an electrician. I took a different route though, I signed up for their IT program. I was excited to start. But I soon realized their IT program wasn't what i thought it'd be. We learned about ITIL which the professors explained over and over again that it was highly recommended by other IT professionals that they do not teach us ITIL, yet the professors at Summit decided to do so anyways. I feel like the IT professors at Summit taught ITIL the way they thought was right, even when it was not correct. The whole IT program consisted of presentations which i understood because if an IT tech wanted to present an idea to their boss, they would need presentation skills. But I didnt think the whole program needed to be focused on presentations. Some of the IT professors werent on the same page. Needless to say, I dropped out of their IT program and started a different IT program and i learn so much better now. Summit is a great school overall. I think they need a lot (and I mean A LOT) of improvement in their IT program though.M Y

I went to this Community College back in the Mid-2000s. When I first started, I scored very low on the English/Math/Comprehension Reading so I had to start with the prerequisite course before I could entered the college level courses. After a year and a half, I struggled with the academic (English/Math/Comprehension Reading) and all the teachers I had at that time would just advise me to go to the computer lab/learning room for help and never did help me improve on a one-on-one basic. I felt like I was never appreciated in those classes. At that current time, D2L was starting in place so portion of the classes' discussion/homework were online. I still remember other students never helping me and always correcting or making fun of my errors in writing. There was a teacher's conference one-on-one meeting with every student and I still remembered it until this day. The last words from that teacher was, " With how you are doing in this class, you will not make it and I would have to fail you." I dropped out of Century College soon after and owed a couple thousand dollars in debt. Long story short: Then I decided to transferred to InverHills Community College (IHCC) and that was where the difference came in. The feeling and care for the students were so different. Teachers' there at InverHills Community College were able to help and assist me to improve my academic issues that I had. I still remember a teacher staying 30 minutes-45 minutes later after class just to help me everytime. I graduated at IHCC with my associate's degree then proceed onwards to finishing my Double Major Bachelor's Degree at MetroState University.John Bradley

Apathetic faculty providing misinformation at an obvious cash grab. The counselors are useless and ended up providing me with false information that delayed my education while also costing me thousands of dollars. They absolutely refused to take any responsibility and side-stepped my inquiries every single time. While I did have some excellent instructors, it was always a toss up what type of instructor I would get. Four times out of five I ended up with an instructor who either didn't care about the class they were teaching or just plain didn't have the aptitude to teach the class. Most times I ended up teaching my courses to myself. There really seems to be no standard of education that the faculty strives for. I would not recommend anyone to attend this college. Before I get a response from anyone at Century I'll make it known that I have no interest in filling out any sort of suggestion card or survey. Enroll here. I'm highly satisfied with my experience at Century College as a student. The post-secondary education community here has gone beyond my expectations to support my continued education as a transfer student. I'm thankful for the experienced instructors, who have given me a wealth of knowledge here. The support staff are excellent, including TLC, Writing Center, Math Center, Advising, Counseling, Information Technologists, and Librarians. They connect students with excellent resources outside of the classroom. The resources available here are comparable to any private institution, and cost per credit is the most affordable on the market.Louise Brask

I have had an absolutely positive experience at Sylvan of Roseville. Both my daughter and son are students there and both look forward to going to class. They think that learning is fun at Sylvan. It doesn't feel like work. But the accomplishments they have made this year are very evident. All the staff are friendly, helpful and know who not only who you are but know your children. They take the time to get to know the kids. How they learn and what barriers they have in learning. They have a great way of giving positive feedback and constructive ways to help your child improve on skills. I would recommend Sylvan to anyone I know. Update – I wrote a few months ago with my review. My child finished up with Sylvan this fall & really got her math confidence back. It was a great experience for her. Sylvan at Roseville has a great team & very supportive teachers. It was close to home & affordable. I really felt the staff worked hard to help my child & modified the lessons as needed. My middle school son went from a D in Algebra, to a B. The assessment test Sylvan of Roseville offered to my son, really pinpointed the specific skills and information he lacked. This allowed the curriculum to be tailored to his needs. The teachers were friendly, and good at explaining the process. He told me he liked going. The front office was able to be flexible to accommodate our family's schedule. Regularly scheduled conferences allowed me to be aware of his progress, and their communication with his teacher allowed this to truly supplement his school curriculum, rather than conflict with it or replace it.Kathy Riggs Williams

it seems like a good place by how it looks on the inside and out, so I don't question its legitimacy. But the way communication is done is very iffy. It doesn't make me wonder if anything is dubious is going on, but it's very blatantly disorganized. they're not good at getting back to emails and phone calls, and I went in to talk to someone in person and even that was disorganized. the community speaks very highly of it, so I'm still going to give it a shot with the classes, but I am very skeptical of how this is going to go. Edit: they scheduled a class on veterans day causing people to miss a day into training and certifications because of that day. veterans day isn't new, and I feel it was a very negligent for them to not plan that out better. They also don't keep up with their website, flyers, and updates. This is all really poor communication, on their end. They don't even care to give a call to let you know building is closed when in fact exam is scheduled and after taking off time from work when i arrive its closed. and when i call them they were so careless and the lady who picked the phone try to tell me pearson due should have notified you and should have known we are closed … she says the person who can help you not working this week and call next week ? is this customer service ? I was pulling up to check out the school and meet a cousin who lived close by I was told I didn’t belong and to leave had the cops called and because I don’t have to explain to a rude human who accused me of committing crimes I am very pregnant I get they have a lot of drug addiction issues due to the camp by the light rail but the disrespect and the fact I was attacked by a employee was what drove me away I will never attend this programHailey Thomas

My son was in first grade at an immersion school, where they don’t start teaching English reading and writing until 2nd grade. Even though I know he will get plenty of instruction next year, I really wanted to make sure he was up to grade level with his reading. Sylvan Highland has been wonderful, and he’s progressing faster than I even thought possible. The tutors are all very patient, and great at getting him engaged, even when he’s frustrated or tired. But the more he attends Sylvan, the more comfortable he is with reading and the more motivated he is to learn. He’s actually excited to go to “reading lessons” now! I’m very happy with his progress, and feel much better knowing he will be on par or ahead of his class in reading going forward.Annie D

I am extremely impressed with the learning experience and progress in math that my 8th grade son has made at Sylvan Learning of Saint Paul. My son is catching up with skills that he missed last year as well as getting homework help for this year's class. The teachers are able to differentiate their teaching style to best meet my son's needs. As a parent, I really appreciate their efforts to get to know my son, understand his strengths and how to build upon skills he needs in order to succeed next year in high school. He has shown a lot of growth and understanding of the math concepts which has increased his self- confidence at school. Our family is so grateful for this wonderful place! Our daughter has been receiving tutoring thru Sylvan Learning of St Paul since it opened a couple of years ago. She was falling behind and feeling like she 'just wasn't good at math'. With the help of all the wonderful tutors as well Vicki, the director, our daughter is now performing at grade level and actually loves math! Amazing! I so appreciate the kind and supportive atmosphere. They really 'get' our daughter and have found ways to work with her and motivate her to do her best and take pride in her work. Disrespectful and discriminating! Terrible Management. After reaching out to them repeatedly over a six month period being promised multiple times that a manager would contact me to issue a refund they refuse to do so. They discriminate based on your hair type. If you have textured hair or hair they are "not trained on" translation person of color then this is not the place for you. I was told by by Gabrielle Ybarzabal that they require all of their students to learn how to work with textured hair in their curriculum however the student literally run and refused to do my hair because "it was too much for her." Then I was told that I should feel sorry for her because she was having a mental breakdown that day and she had an exam. I tried to accommodate them (my mistake) and waited for over half an hour before they could convince another person to take pity on me (right in front of me I see the supervisor negotiating with another student who was on break). I have never felt so discriminated against so openly where multiple students looked at my hair as if they were observing something from out of space. My hair is not that out of the ordinary! To add insult to injury they charged me $50 + with my hair worse than I came in where I had to coach how to wash, comb and style– while the students admitted that I am their first client with textured hair yet they were close to graduation. I was promised multiple times that a manager Sara Wagner would contact me to process reimbursement who passed me off to Gabrelle who then ghosted me when I asked for the reimbursement multiple times. They wasted my time, energy worst of all treated me with such disrespect and disregard. Unacceptable! I have gone here for a couple years now, but had a terrible experience when I came in for a cut and root touch up color in May 2022. Terrible unprofessional receptionist service, I was hung up on over 12 times and had to physically return to the school to get an appointment to fix what they did to me, because they down right REFUSED to talk to me on the phone. I lost about half of my hair, my hair was fried off, neon-pee yellow. I left crying, out $80. I have naturally very light blonde hair, so there was no reason they should have left bleach on my hair that long. My intuition said I shouldn't have gone here, and i should have listened. I called the next day to get a refund or to have them fix it, the receptionist hung up on me OVER 12 times. I had to call back 12 times, get transferred to 3 different people, and still was hung up on by Aveda Institute themselves. Finally, i went in to get my hair fixed. It is 2 months later, and my hair is still extremely damaged and my bangs look terrible. It took 3 different women to do a root touch-up, trim, and bangs, and I still left mangled. I am so disappointed with how they purposely hung up on me, I have told all my friends never to return here. I’m writing this review because I was there recently on October 12 for my birthday and was very disappointed with my visit. For one, I called a few days before I wanted my hair done by a specific student, and on the phone they told me that the student only had availabilities in the morning at 10 am so we set up an appointment for that time (even though it conflicted with my outside schedule but I still did it to get the specific student). When we got there for my appointment, they gave me a completely different student. I ignored the fact that I basically made an early appointment for no reason because I didn’t get who I asked for. I then showed this student the hairstyle I wanted to dye my hair, and she dyed much more hair than I showed her which ended up damaging a huge amount of my hair. I only wanted highlights and kept repeating that but she gave me a balayage instead. Although they are students and are still learning, but I’m still unsatisfied with my visit and the fact that we got lied to when we made our appointments over the phone. I’ve always gone there because I have always loved the service I was getting, but I’m not sure anymore.heisk lol

I recently took my first Loft class, and it was a fantastic experience. Kate St. Vincent Vogl taught the course, which was on keys to driving narrative. She provided thought-provoking examples and guidance on ways to approach narrative, and she led interesting discussions on the craft. The events they host are excellent, and they really add something great to the community by giving platforms and voices to those who are not given them often. The learning center is a very resourceful place , with staff members ready to help at any given time someone calls or walks in. The environment is very conducive for learning; one can walk in for class after work for lectures and still will be welcome. SO MANY UNETHICAL THINGS HAPPENING! I don’t even where to begin… I guess I would start by saying that my friend and I had such a bad experience in this organization. Super helpful program and helped me get job credentials to find employment and resources that helped me thrive. The program had me concerned w/ some requirements at first as they are hard to achieve for one with a disability. However, I saw TCR pivot and work towards requirements that meet both accountability and accessibility needs. Thanks to that, I happily graduated and have remained employed for nearly 2 years now. This is a good place for English learners. Instructors are so helpful except one of a woman sits in the front desk, she is so rude. She scolded at me twice just forgot to bring my baggage those days. Staff was friendly and got me going on my test in a timely manner. It's more the actual time that I was taking the test that caused me to rate them as 3 stars. I was placed in a room with several other computers for my test, and while I was taking the test the coordinator entered the room many more times to start someone else on their tests. So this meant doors opening & closing, others sitting down next to or near me, the coordinator typing on the computer to get them started, etc. Distracting and did divert my focus a bit. I got about halfway through my test (45mins) and I still had half my questions to go, so I started getting concerned. I didn't recall anyone else coming in beyond that point, so that helped my focus. Then, at about the 20mins remaining timeframe, I started hearing a class being taught in the next room and I really had a hard time not overhearing that vs focusing on reading and answering my questions. This was VERY distracting, and definitely impacted my ability to work through the remainder of the test. I did finish just in time, and I did pass, which is fantastic. I just wanted to mention that this wasn't nearly the quiet and non-distracting configuration that I would have expected for a test of this nature.Jim Maahs

Best teachers! They really care about students and their education. A lot of the teachers who work here are volunteering and they love what they do. They even sit down with you and make sure you completely understand the topic. I graduate from here and am currently attending college but I still come back here to get additional help (if needed) because the teachers are so helpful and a lot of them work at colleges. Not very organized. Zela the secretary is very helpful and kind but that is the best thing I have to say about this location. I enjoyed my services through Sabathani better. Lisa Mcdonald the employment counselor is very rude and not very gelpful. Everytime I have talked to her, her attitude is short and she almost seems like she is bothered to have to help you. My overall experience has been pretty negative at CLUES on lake street. I dread having to come here weekly to turn in my job log.Aaron Melina

When I was going to school before COVID, it was really great. I am on my last semester here now, and it's been a struggle. I used to be able to go to the tech departments study room to hang out with peers and get help from tutors. Now, it's practically impossible to get a hold of school counselors, there is MAYBE 1 tutor available, and it ultimately feels like none of the staff really care to much about their jobs. I would have given this school a lower rating, but I understand that this is probably the case for most schools right now. It's just a shame that the year I decided I wanted an education, COVID hits and all of a sudden I no longer get the same services, benefits, attention, and resources I used to get.Joshua Smith

Just joined the COTA program and am loving it. Very nice teachers who really care about our sucesss. It's a lot more work than doing generals but if you know what you want to do it's worth it! Biggest downside to the college is their advising and financial aid staff can be very unhelpful at times and bounce you around from person to Person with no good answers..I have gone to financial aid window a few times and been given a flyer or sent to the bookstore..very frustrating and not helpful. I went to Anoka Ramsey for generals and they had a much better more personal and clear system for helping students. But once all that got figured out I've enjoyed all of my teachers and classes.Lauren Shultz

I can't speak for other programs and their staff, but the Automotive Technician program is outstanding and the Instructors are as well. They are always seeking ways to improve and stay current with the industry. Lessons learned from their experiences in the field are passed on through a great hands on learning. I'm a big believer in hands on learning in fields such as this one. Room theory on the subject to be learned is engaging and easy to follow along. Then, lectures and knowledge is applied in the lab. Great course. Highly recommend above other schools such as UTI and those like it.Zachary Karna

Discriminated against and stalked by staff. Students here don't take their careers or education seriously. The only good classes were sociology, art, business, and tiny house. Basically whatever isn't a degree requirement. My complaints were responded with getting told to gobto Fond Du Lac. Despite years after any enrollmemt I receive mail saying they received over $100 in expenses from the government for 2022, proving a criminal administration from the top down. The cops didn't care years ago, you think they'd care now? The county laughs. They're predators. Just go somewhere else if your money is real and not from a board game. Contacted 5 government agencies without response. Surely this country is doomed. And their aspirations to take me with them to the grave. Stay far away. I enrolled in courses here and had help from my advisor with what and how my classes to enroll in. My advisor had me enroll in way too many courses than I could handle and by 3 weeks into the semester I was told it was too late to withdraw from 1 or 2 of them and was that my best option was to just pick the courses which were easiest for me and fail the other 2. Meanwhile completely screwing me over on financial aid and being successful in my program. Students here are nothing but a number to this institution and a means to make money. Great school. I graduated in 2000. The admin staff has a lot on their plates. Do as much prep as you can before you see them and treat them well, then they will treat you well in return. Research the degree you want to get. Ask to speak to graduates who have that degree. Ask other students which teachers are good and which ones aren't. Jerry Neibauer, Diana Johnson, and Boyd Dallos were amazing. I still cherish the literature Mr. Neibauer exposed me to. Boyd's communication skills still pay for themselves today.
