Don't ever go to this college. I was 19 in 1986 and they were supposed to give me my diploma. In high school I only had 2 credits to go. I was in the high school program. The school forced me to take out a lone at the end of the term, which I didn't get the money a state carectional drug cancellor got the money. Then I was told I was too stooped to continue college, So they kicked me out. I had 24 credits that I can never use and no diploma I had to get my GED when I was 30. Everything this college did to me was illegal and Everything the people who have tryed to callect the money has been illegally done a lot of them told me over the phone how the way everythig happened was illegal. The lone was 1,400.00 now it is 10,000.00. I have paid the 1,400.00 back many times they even took my boyfriends taxes when we first got together. I have proff but they keep equnoring it. Even the people who work for the collection agency's have told me what to write and send to get the issue fixed and they have no problem ruining a life. The school and the collection agaseys have broken the law and. I'm going to have to send all my evadence to Grege Walden and pray he will halp me. If you people were smart don't go to this college don't believe a word they say. It ruined my life. The college and bank both forged my name to different papers and the school broke a lot of laws. I was never to take out a lone legally. I didn't have no diploma, no GED, They issued the loan at the end of the term which I here was illegal as well. For the most part I enjoyed my time at the school. Beautiful campus and amazing instructors. The problem I have is with the Financial Aid and other support staff. I once watched them belittle a 4.0 student for attending school. They are completely disorganized and will lose paper work, and then charge you late fees when they fail to properly apply grants and aid. They are very rude to students who ask for help even going as far as tell students that the should drop-out. All-in-all if you are paying out of pocket and have several thousand a year to burn, its a great college. If you are use any sort of aid, be prepared for a nightmare and disrespect. This place is not really a collage. You spend your money on a collage course and yet they play mind games and ditch you before you arrive on time to your class, You only waste your time playing their mind games and yet you find yourself abandoned after a few weeks realizing you have been cheated out of everything you worked for and your text books are really a sick joke with a lot missing pages ripped out and the book falling a part, and you find yourself heading to the local homeless shelter when no body is qualified for housing nor student aid. First off, it is an institute of technology, not a university. NASA applications say "Technology institute graduates need not apply." NASA isn't alone in this. I had 5 different advisors by the end of my 1st month. No one could be bothered. My final advisor was the department chair, and when he "helped" me sign up for 3 classes, 1 was class was held in Washington, and another class wasn't even scheduled for that term, so I was left with one class that term. The next term, like the term before, I needed a unique password to register for classes. Only problem was the only person who could give me the password, my advisor, was on vacation. I had to talk with his superiors to get him to reply to my email for the password. When he replied, he had an attitude. This kind of think happened in so many different ways, I just washed my hands of this school. It took them 3 terms just to get me my student ID card. Anytime I had a academic, not scholastic, question, it usually takes about 2 hours of being bounced around from building to building, often the same buildings, having to talk to the same people, because no one can be bothered. Eventually after the 3rd time of me coming back to someone to ask the same question, I'll get a big sigh and finally an answer.Tim DuDD

OIT is a great school of Engineering. Pros 1- Average students in the class between 10 to 25, so that is very good to ask and participate as well as most of the professors can easily recognize each student. 2- Reasonable professors. 3- OIT located in Klamath City which is small and cheap town. 4- Easy to get high grade if you do all your HW, NO absent , more participation. 5 – Library stuff is very helpful. 6- Safe and good place to study in. 7- US News classified Oregon Tech as one of the best five universities. Cons: 1- Library hours are very terrible. 2- Klamath City is not active city, after 7 pm every one dies. 3- There is nothing to do if you have free time except outdoor activities. 4- Heath Center is really wasteful.Mohammed Asiri

I've worked at four public universities across the country, and Oregon Tech has the most engaged and dedicated faculty and staff I've ever encountered. Students benefit from small class sizes and many opportunities for hands-on applied learning. Students I assist in Career Services are focused, dedicated and mature. The administration is proud of being career-focused but also recognizes the benefits of teaching soft skills. Oregon Tech is also increasing its emphasis on providing students with experiences that will translate to exceptional workplace skills, like working on cross functional student team projects. I went to the campus that is located in Beaverton and they are a building off site of the campus but have a Transit center right directly across from the campus making it very convenient for anyone that would like to take that versus driving and paying parking however the parking was free for me that day the campus grounds are very clean and I felt safe by the security and overall feel. there was not a lot of people at all as they are being very very careful with restrictions on covid. It was such a beautiful day I had gone to Sheridan's Market. Which, I have to say, is one of the best places I've found in Portland since moving here 8 years ago. I decided to go and sit under the trees in the Park blocks. I read the first chapter of "The Body Keeps the Score" with the work book. If you know someone or you yourself suffer from PTSD. The instructors are variable, with limited on-campus opportunities compares to places like OSU/UO/WSU/UW. I took a neighborhood stroll with my two kids and we ended up walking through the campus. Wow! Green with more green and located above the mighty Umpqua River, this small but we'll appointed campus seems to have it all. My daughter mentioned that she intends to take some classes there and that it's just minutes to walk from her home. Gorgeous campus, my goodness. We all felt safe walking thru, it was easy to navigate and get from building to building. And how about that pool huh?! The teachers are great and the campus is nice but trying to get financial aid during COVID is impossible. The financial aid advisors are rude and don’t seem like they want to help you at all. Just because of this reason I will not be recommending MHCC to any of my friends and would suggest to go to Clackamas Community College where they are much, MUCH more helpful.Dima Poperechnyy

They make you jump through hoops and pass you around with little to no help. As the mom of a college student who had to leave a private, out of state institution for medical reasons, I came into contact with BCCC when my son was ready to obtain further credits. The administration was so very helpful, from applying for appropriate courses, to registering and payment. My son has not yet graduated, but the experience at the local community college was excellent. BCCC also has programs in which high school students with special skills or talents can participate in college level work. Both the high school and BCCC were extremely helpful in this regard. High school credits were obtained with no tuition payment. Finally, I am a sunset photographer. The high hill on the campus overlooking the baseball field just off Swamp Road is a very nice vista for sunset shots!!Carol Geibe

First off the price is great. The campus is really nice. I liked the professor's a ton. There were some really good teachers. When I transferred out most of my credits went to Penn state without an issue. I see a few reviews on here talking about bad teachers. This is not a BCCC problem, it's a college problem. I had just as many bad teachers if not worse teachers at Penn State as I did at BCCC. Expect it, accept it, and work harder in those classes. It's only 16 weeks folks. If you are looking to see if college is for you or just starting back up with your education I think it's a great place to start.Mike Carson

The campus itself is clean and the security is friendly. As for the professors I had in my two year stint here, many of them were awesome people and very helpful as teachers. I feel I have learned a lot from having knowledgeable teachers such as Professor Beers in the math department and Professor Bresnen in the music department. All in all, for the most part the staff here seems to care about their students' success and I have had many more pleasurable teachers here than I expected.Dan

I'd like to think that because of Covid, there is a lack of help from this college. I have been trying my very best for the last month to do everything myself without the help from any employees at this college. I have not been contacted regarding how to get enrolled, registered, what classes I need, financial aid, etc. I have been struggling since I have submitted my application to this college. You basically have to figure out everything on your own which isn't hard for me to do because I was walked through the steps from my previous college who actually took the time to help me out. While I understand quite a few things, there are some things that I don't understand and that I have questions about but getting into contact with anyone at this college is very difficult. Even through emails, no one responds. This college lacks the skill for helping their future students. I believe that I have done everything necessary in order to be a student but getting in touch with a counselor is the biggest problem. Making an appointment with a counselor via zoom, is quite a struggle and I have messaged quite a few employees at the college but yet, I still haven't received any responses. I am about to give up and just try somewhere else although this college is very convient for me, it's not worth the struggle and hassle at this point. 😔Mary McDonald

Great atmosphere. Their financial aid office needs help though. I started my fasfa around May and I'm trying to get in for the fall. I sat down with the students that help you with the fasfa form online so I don't do it wrong. I had to wait for them to approve it. They told me to bring my parents IRS info, even though I used the retrieval tool. I had to do a dependent verification form. Turned in copies of those. Then asked for my W-2. Then they asked for another verification form. Just constantly asking me for things I turned in. It sometimes takes them weeks to let you know what's next. So I learned the hard way the previous year that they ask for these forms every semester. They didn't tell me until I was applying for another semester. First year student trying to figure them out. I lived in El Cajon when they were asking for forms making this process extra annoying. Apparently they had to restart the process for the new semester. Don't ask me why but this is the most annoying part of school. I advise making multiple copies of whatever they ask for IRS FORMS, W-2, AND TAX INFO. They'll ask for it next semester and start it months before to avoid lines. I'm grateful there is a financial office though or school would be ROUGH! Thank you. EDIT: THEY MOVED TO A 270PERSONAL

City College is represented by the San Diego transit people, MTS, as City College Trolley Station, a cave, possibly Plato's, remarkable for grime and an expansive range of social behaviors not common in the quiet halls of ivy and higher education. The City College Trolley Station, is, of course, the gateway of San Diego's always expanding skidrow that could be seen as starting here and continuing to 25th and Commercial. San Diego and the real estate community promotes skidrow as being the East Village, but it's not really so much a village as it is a refugee camp. And it is getting bigger every day and will one day engulf all of downtown and possibly as far into the neighborhoods as Hillcrest and North Park. Went here during 2013-2014 for my associates in marketing, its an alright college. Tho my only bad points I remember from this is the intern job finder guy was really rude and I had other people who told me they had him too and he was rude to them as well. another bad point was one of the class counselors who made me take an unnecessary course and told me if i didn't take it i wouldn't get my degree only to find out that they lied and i didn't need to take that course (no refunds of course). Last bad point I remember was one of the job counselors who said they would help me find a job pretty much ghosted me after our first meeting. They gave such a wonderful speech about how I was going to get a lot of help finding a job and that i wouldn't be disappointed. well disappointment city here i came first class. total ghosted and never heard from after the second week of trying to talk to them. gave up trying to finding a job threw here. otherwise its an alright place but seriously have enough parking places that people taking classes here and no teacher saved parking spots for teachers who arent even there and we can see are sitting empty for most if not the entire day. Edit to respond to the owner: Sorry but I will not be using your "job finding services". After the first guy Matt Coulter if i remember his name right, was really rude and pretty much did absolutely NOTHING to help me when I had a problem with my internship. Then the job helper person I got to help me find a full time job litterly GHOSTED me, IE: never returning any phone calls, emails and was never there even tho I told they were there on the days they would be in, on 3 separate occasions I wasted my time trying to meet someone who just happened to "not" be there. This place was the worst college to go to. The counselors don't really help you. They just sign you up for any course they can just so they can quickly boot you out the door not caring to help you find classes for your major or even find a major at all. For the Danvers campus in particular, it's a very snobby, predominately white(and prejudice), unfriendly atmosphere. A lot of them also flow over to the Lynn campus so they bring their snobby attitudes there. The students are worse than the instructors though the instructors can be pretty stuck up themselves. That's just the type of community Danvers is. You will find most of the people who have the edge at this school AND of course speak highly of it are the predominantly white population. I took a Bio 101 class once, and the instructor said in front of the class that blacks usually don't do well because they come from a poor background and lack proper education. It really is not a good place to get your education. Also, a lot of classes they have wont transfer to another college such as their Bio 101 course. You may not know that, but be sure the classes you take are transferable. Be sure to follow up on Rate My Professors website to know if you have a good instructor or not otherwise it's a hit or miss on having a great successful academic year or not. The staff can be very unfriendly on the phone or in person when you go to any of their offices. When you attend this school, you better have direction on what you want to do because No one there is really going to help you unless you have a really good instructor. I transferred out to a better community college and it was one of the best choices I've ever made.Maximum Achievement

I have done four semesters at NSCC in the Criminal Justice program over the past two years. North Shore was a decent place for me to start my college education, as I feel like going to a full-fedged State University for four years is a massive scam and waste of money. Professor Koshivas and D'Agastino were great and I learned a great deal in their classes. The Danvers campus is very clean and modern and much nicer than the Lynn campus, which gave me the feeling of being in a dirty train tunnel. My issues with the school pertain to its administration. I had multiple issues when enrolling for classes during each semester. It seemed like no matter what some piece of paperwork would be lost. Once they even lost proof of one of my scholarships, luckily I had copies. When it came time to cut the check for the semester there would always be an issue with the amount. Sometimes we overpaid, sometimes we underpaid, it was as though they never got the final amount right on the first try. It was frusturating to deal with. Another issue I had was with the WiFi in the school. I would be in the library during the period between classes on my laptop trying to get work done, only to find the connection suddenly stopped and I could no longer connect to the internet. Some days were worse than others with this, it was very unpredictable as to when it would work and when it would not. I won't end up graduating from North Shore as of right now as I'm going the military route instead. However, there are some very good professors at this school, just be prepared to deal with a mediocre administrative department if you decide that North Shore is for you.Millard Fillmore

I love Columbus State and this is why: Before Columbus State: Growing up, I was never interested in the information taught in school, because I did not feel like it was applicable to the real world. After a year at a private college, I was originally apprehensive to restart college at any college. I was also scared of a community college. I grew up in Michigan, and I felt like our local community colleges had negative stigmas attached to them. Luckily, my older brother took me into the application office in Delaware, OH to take the entrance exam. I believe I tested out of an english and/or a math class. While at Columbus State: I would like to note that I always attended C-State as I held a part time job (10-20 hours a week). I originally attended an EMT-B class at Columbus State. The class was more challenging than I had anticipated and was pretty time consuming. I received a B in this course, but found employment immediately in the field and felt confident in my skills. A year later, I returned to C-State with the desires to go to nursing school. Thanks to ample meetings with advisors in Health and Human Services, I decided to take some prerequisite nursing classes as there was a waiting list to apply for their nursing program (while I worked part time as an EMT-B). During this year, I found more confidence in my work and studies, feelings of support and encouragement from staff, and rewards from hard work. I was also able to sign up easily for academic accommodations for the first time in my life! I loved my time at Columbus State within this year! I never thought I would love school or receive my first 4.0 GPA in the spring and summer semesters. For the first time, school finally felt fulfilling for me. After Attending Columbus State: I decided to leave C-State after a full academic year, and I pursued a BSN degree through another local school. I often look back at my time at C-State and regret that I did not take more classes here while saving a decent amount of money! I would suggest night classes if you are willing and able. I found that students were more likely to be hard working, more mature, disciplined, and also employed. I also found professors who taught night classes were often from OSU and more understanding. Generally my teachers were all very competent, funny, and held experience in the world. The only negative experience that I found was dealing with C-Stat's Police department staff and accessing their gym/locker room. Students must sign up manually for the gym locker rooms every semester at C-State's Police department and then wait for several days for your card to be accepted from security/police. This system seems dated and non-productive. I feel like this process should be easily automated. This issue led to a negative experience I had with a police officer that identified as Sergeant Diamond. I felt like this officer escalated my personal situation while being disrespectful and patronizing. Another time I was eating a meal in my car between classes when a police car pulled up to me and asked why I was parked between two spots in an empty parking lot and then asked me to pick a spot. I'm sure the police department deals with things they don't want to. I could have been lucky and experienced two poor attitudes on hard days, but I do not feel like the police department is fulfilling their mission that states they want to provide "exceptional customer service" for their students based on my only two experiences with them. I would take a look at how the police staff is trained at C-State.Connor Hill

I have enjoyed Columbus State and majority of the people I’ve met here while on track to my BA but this college needs some serious restructuring. The biggest thing I wish Cstate would look into is their faculty. When I go to ratemyprofessor.com and see many of them at a 1 to 2 star rating, that concerns me. I have personally had good and bad professors here and majority of the good ones were adjunct professors, the bad ended up being tenured faculty. I wish the college would look into the gripes students have and start to question whether or not they should be hiring adjunct professors to replace them. The only other major issue I’ve had is from advisors. The point of the advisor is to advise the student on their education path, but when I have a genuine question or concern, interrupting/having a snarky attitude doesn’t come off as professional to me. One last thing, please talk with the finance department about putting a budget together for another parking garage. I don’t go during peak hours anymore but when I did parking was atrocious. It will be 6 weeks this semester (Spring 2019) before CSCC releases financial aid refunds. I cannot believe they get away with this! OSU is 9 days after the start of the semester! Some people rely on these excess funds to survive another semester of school! This should be illegal and I’m pretty sure it is because according to federal financial aid funds are to be released up to a max of 14 days after the start of a semester! Insane to make people wait 6 weeks+ to receive their refund. Also, parking is obnoxious here any time of day. It also seems to me that each department does not have a good linear structure of teaching so each professor is just kind of doing their own thing whichever way they feel like doing it. Some classes are too long some are too short. It really feels like no one is in control here it’s just a free for all I guess. Employees are not friendly in any way shape or form. I was pursing my Bachelors Degree but had to leave college due to unforeseen financial difficulties. I was looking for a job in the IT field but no one wants to hire you unless you have years of experience. I had heard about the Per Scholars program and decided it would be a great option in getting the experience I needed in order to obtain a job that would pay enough for me to go back to college. I attended the orientation which was very informative. Passed both reading and math TABE exams, filled out all the forms, submitted all the necessary documents, and took both assessments for their engineering programs. I have yet to hear back from the program on whether or not I passed the last assessments. Its been over 2 weeks! I've emailed, called, left messages and haven't heard back from anyone. Classes start next month, and I'm stuck! I've turned down numerous jobs thinking this program would be great for me. I am A+ certified and working on my Network+. I am an alumni from Perscholas. The admissions director does a fantastic job at recruiting people who are determined and hard working individuals. My classmates were very helpful and diverse. I recommend this program to anyone who has a passion for IT and wants a great career. The course is 15 weeks. Not only do you get hands on IT training, but you also get business development. You have a separate instructor who helps build you resume and confidence to get you interview ready. This college has made a terrible impression. They got me admitted as a transfer student, and I have been preparing for the Fall session online, but to appear in person, and I just found out I missed the registration deadlines because student advising never got back to me. I took the new student orientation and the professor, just skimmed through all the info. There wasn't time for questions, and she cut it short by 30 minutes. It didn't even explain how to register online. I had been in communication and prepared for this session but didn't understand how to register so all the classes I had 'added to my schedule' weren't actually registered, and no one followed up with my questions. I thought I was registered, and even as I try to register now after the fact, it still says I need student advising which no one ever got back to be except for an email to say I already had everything set up. I am torn about this. Now I have to wait another session to get started?! NO! I will take my education somewhere where I can actually get assistance. This is such an emotional drag.Gabrielle Flores

NW Academy has been a great experience for both of my children even though they are very different people. The school provides a rigorous academic experience with lots of training in good work habits and study skills while at the same time making the work meaningful for the students. The arts programs provide a safe space for all the kids to try new things and have positive experiences in front of audiences. The close knit community provides a positive and almost family like environment that really allows the kids to grow as learners. I also really love how the downtown campus fosters an appreciation for all the city has to offer as well as teaching independence as my kids have become comfortable using Trimet and even their bicycles to travel to and from school. Two Years here so far and we love it, our 8th grader loves it, and she is thriving. Our daughter has always needed to be challenged at school and Northwest has definitely stepped up to the plate. As I checked in at the front desk and was told to wait for someone to escort me back to kitchen…a young white woman leaned over to her Co worker who was also working at the desk..she stated she does not know why the MAC club let's crackheads come work here…when I made a complaint to what she said…they escorted me out the back door.and told dont come back..no black or person of color should not step foot in this racist establishment!! Was here for two tax conferences this week so we utilized the event space and it was great. Very accommodating of large groups. Staff was very friendly and helpful with set up of the space and very efficient with breakdown as well. The location of MAC is wonderful; right next to Providence Park which is awesome. The interior design of MAC is beautifully laid out. Definitely recommend checking it out.Constantine Johns

The 1891 restaurant was absolutely fantastic. Everything we had was delicious, and the service was great also. Although I didn't try them, the steaks looked great, had my others at my table, and I had the Miso snapper, along with an amazing beet salad. I went here yesterday to try and enroll in their Enterprise Development program as part of the Programming and Software Development track and was turned away with a three to four year wait period! That's longer than it would take to get into an actual college, and if it actually does take that long to get into a program, I would think that a disclaimer on their website might be helpful to avoid potential miscommunication in the future. I had been planning on taking this program for the past eight months or so, and it was a little disappointing to be turned away without even so much as having my information taken so that I could be notified when and if something opens up. Also, the fact that they offer free education for high school students but not for everyone else is completely ludicrous. If they are able to offer free education for high school students, why not do it for everyone? The gentleman that I spoke to seemed courteous and even shook the male student's hand that he saw before me, but then during my consultation he was extremely short and very unhelpful. I'm not sure if it's because I'm a female or what, but the disparity in attitude was a big red flag to me. Luckily there are other better options out there online, so I'll just use this as motivation to find an alternate route to achieve my career goals.Elizabeth S.

If you’re thinking of joining the esthetician/manucurist program READ THIS! I advise you take your money else where. I was on the waiting list for a year and was very excited about finally starting school. I’ve officially been here 4 months and can count on one hand how many times the instructor has actually taught me anything. I teach myself with YouTube videos and occasional help from my peers. I’m part of the manicurist program and originally planned to enroll back into this school for the esthetician program but I’d much rather take my money to an esthetician program at a different school. Where they actually care to teach you something at least twice a week. I have 3 months left and have hardly learned anything from my instructor! I went through the cosmtology program in 2 years and I finished up my hours in June 2018. The teachers were all very nice and but didn’t set any of us up for success in the real world. They taught us how to pass state board but what’s the point of passing and having no skill. When trying to find jobs we are automatically at a disadvantage because we didn’t have enough hands on experience. It’s a nice start but you will need continued education to be as good as students who graduated from other schools. We needed more color theory and cutting classes and less cross words, word searches, pin curls and roller sets.Anonymous user

On 09/13/22 I went into the store to pick up a pair of shoes I’d ordered. When I first walked in I was warmly greeted and shown the way to the pick up area. Along the way I stopped to look at the home goods section. After a few minutes looking around I noticed I was being followed by a little white woman. And she had begun watching me through some pillows she was pretending to fluff. When she caught me looking back at her she squeaked out a hello and nothing more. I felt very insulted that this woman was following me around the area I was in and was watching as if I was trying to steal. She never once asked me if I needed any sort of help. She just watching me and followed me. My experience following that was pretty pleasant with the rest of the staff and I enjoyed the shoes I picked up. However I am still very insulted that I was followed around/ targeted by an employee.Simone Yvette

I purchase Paige brand pants here, every year (about $400 each time). I only buy this brand because it's the type that fits my body best. I drove an hour and a half (one way) today to get these pants and found two pair that fit me perfectly! I went to check out and the employee told me they weren't available for purchase unless I was a member. I said I would buy them full price (I didn't want the discount, just the pants) but she said they weren't for sale to non members? They were even marked up $30 more than they usually are. I was just so disappointed I drove 3 hours total, found the perfect pants and wasn't even allowed to buy them. I emailed Nordstrom help desk to voice my experience only to receive a generic email. I have worked with Quinn Shuff in both physical, alignment-based yoga practices, when I've been feeling energetic – and also yin, restorative, healing practices when I have been in need of that. As for physical (hatha/what we usually think of as a yoga practice), Quinn is extremely knowledgeable in regards to anatomy and body movement. I always learn something from her that I can take away into my own yoga practice as well as every day posture, etc. Where I truly seek Quinn's energy is for inner healing and peace, as I have been going through some turmoil right now and experiencing past trauma. I have had so many great sessions with Quinn. I always come out feeling relaxed and uplifted. I have been interested in yoga since college, but never gave myself the time to pursue it due to time conflicts or having difficulty with yoga poses which made me feel discouraged. I have now been practicing yoga with Quinn for about ~2 months via Zoom sessions & her YouTube channel. Her videos are very straight-forward with clear explanations and good flow. During private Zoom sessions, she is very attentive to detail, was able to make yoga fit my body (modifying poses to accommodate my weak knees & helping curate specific stretches to help tightness), and has been very patient with me exploring what yoga means to me. I always feel more relaxed mentally & physically after completing these yoga sessions! Her group Zoom sessions also have the same level of care & detail. The East West College is located near the convention center and near public transit stops for the max and street cars. There is metered parking surrounding the block that the school is located on as well. They have a shop where you can purchase East West College of the healing Arts merchandise as well as oils and lotions. I am not a student for this college but I do take advantage of the student massages held on the third level of the college. The massages are 30$ and in the state of Oregon students aren’t allowed to accept tips. This is a great deal and very reasonable compared to other massages that I received from more expensive places! I have had a couple different therapists and they all have different styles which I really appreciate. The massage starts with you checking in with the receptionist, Nikki is very professional and sweet, they give you paperwork to fill out which then your therapists comes out and discusses it with you checks in with there professor then they come get you to start your massage. The massage room is dim and has soothing music playing. Each room has a bed and a curtain to block you off from others. You can occasionally hear other therapist speaking to their clients but it’s minimal. The massage lasts for 40-50 mins depending on how fast you get through paperwork! At the end you help the therapist/student let them know what you liked and didn’t like and fill out a worksheet expressing how the massage went. All in all massages are great and it’s great to support these therapists along there journey to become a licensed therapist. To sign up just go on there website and create an account! I went here for the first time yesterday. I am so impressed with the whole experience. I've had many, many massages in my life so when I say that Lovey did a spectacular job, it's not just lip service. I woke up this morning feeling *none* of my chronic tightness. It's a miracle! For being a school, the setting is relaxing – you're in a big room with other people and massage tables are separated by curtains. I felt like I had adequate privacy. You can hear next door therapists checking in with their clients: "is that pressure okay?" but nobody is loud or distracting. Calming piano music plays overhead. In my experience, students can sometimes put in more effort than seasoned practitioners. When they ask for your feedback, they're genuinely hoping you give an honest answer, because they're trying to learn. And bonus if you're strapped for cash: Oregon law prohibits students from receiving tips, so the price really is what you pay at the front desk. Riding your bicycle there? Pro tip: there are racks outside the building on 5th and Clay, but there are also bike racks which are a bit more secure in the building's parking garage. Building management asks that you do not bring bicycles into the building. They were kind and tactful when they let me know.C Miller

I went to the East West College based on reviews online and was pleased by the clean, attractive clinic and the extremely pleasant and friendly front office staff. I received an excellent student massage and am looking forward to going back in a couple of weeks. As with any school, your chances of getting a very good massage depends on the skills of the student. Being a"clinic" experience, don't expect a totally private atmosphere. Fabric separates the spaces, so it's likely you'll hear some sounds from neighboring cubicles. It's generally quiet and possible to focus on your massage. The cost is very reasonable. Note: Be sure to get there early so you have time to fill out the intake forms and relax a bit before your student is ready for you. Parking is a challenge, so leave extra time for that. Although the training was adequate, it’s been 12 days and no eCard has been provided! I waited the 3 business days as recommended, then I have had daily phone calls to Angel in their SW Portland office. Each day’s call is a promise of receiving the card tomorrow. Finally. today I drove to their office and found only one person there. He said they are “horribly understaffed”, there is “only one admin person for the state of Oregon”. He could not promise when I would be getting my card. I would recommend seeking your training elsewhere, I certainly will be!Jerry King

I went to Cascade Training Center for my BLS renewal about a month ago. The entire process was smooth and easygoing, starting with the online sign up for my needed course. Cascade Training sent out multiple reminder emails leading up to my training date, and once at the training center the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and dedicated to instructing us students. I received my e-card 24 hours after the course and had no issues with claiming it. I highly recommend their services for any of your healthcare related CE and training needs!Bernadette Brady

I took Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) with Cascade on a Saturday morning. The location is easy to find and central with plenty of parking. Use the instructions they send and it’s comp’d. The facility is clean and well appointed. Each station had adequate supplies. The mock scenarios were challenging yet reasonable. It was a fun learning environment with a highly experienced NICU resus RN. I highly recommend Cascade and am looking forward to other courses with their organization.Michael H

I have started a new life. So far Yogi classes are smooth as going with at easy and other classes are very to extreme complex but great workout. I love different varieties classes for different pace form you can take. I'm getting very addictive and it's very flexible hours around my graveyard shift. It's fantastic enjoying many different varieties classes I can take as many possible at different time shift. I sometimes take two classes in one day or three when I'm in the mood very spontaneous challenge myself to do more. Amazing ‼️‼️ I'm doing great even I don't know what I'm doing. I got longs ways to go but in time if continue what I'm doing and putting my effort in to it. I'll believer committed to do something in my life. My therapist has encouraged me for over a year now to explore the benefits yoga can do for me. I believe like most people, I was very nervous to go to my first yoga class in fear of being the 'odd ball' in the class but I have to say, from the very beginning this studio has made the experience very enjoyable and not stressful at all. I've taken 3 classes in less than a week and every single instructor knew my name when I walked in, made sure I felt comfortable and reassured me that this is a personal experience. YoYo is an amazing studio that makes you feel like family as soon as you walk in the door! Their teachers are extremely knowledgeable and balance an amazing mental practice with a tough physical challenge that only yoga can give you.
