The entire art department is a joke. Calhoun has crippled its own photography program by getting rid of the best studio photography teacher it has probably ever had just because he didn't have a degree yet he's been a professional working photographer for about 30 years. Calhoun has a bad history of hiring people to teach that don't do their job. The dean and the underlings don't care if you have a problem if it affects their staff. Calhoun is famous for minimizing the parking spaces despite the rising number of students attending each year. The financial aid department is worthless too. I'm transferring to Wallace State instead of going back to Calhoun to earn my degree.BringPopcorn

What I love about Calhoun is that they want to make sure you know how to do. Hands down Calhoun is one of the be places to study IT in the state. The classes are small enough that you are able to get hands on training and your taught by instructors who work in the field. Not someone who is good at taking test and decided to teach. The only complaint I have is that Calhoun should try to improve the student experience more. It's hard to accomplish considering most students are only there 1-2 years but there should be more university sponsored events live movie nights, dances, etc.Christoper J

Harvard is one of the most prestigious universities in the World and every one wishes to visit it once in a life time. I had this chance to go there and walk around this beautiful institute. The good thing is that it is open for all and everyone could go around and visit. I saw many tourists there enjoying walking and taking photos. The good thing which I liked was that seeing people doing Yoga in the open space and in nature. I liked that and participated with them in yoga. It was nice walking around Harvard university . I would recommend either taking a guided tour or to download and follow the self guided tour so you understand the history behind the university. I loved the library and the story behind it. Unfortunately wasn’t able to go inside but would have loved to. CIU is a con. You realize it after a year or two as a student there. CIU is an embarrassment to higher education. The degrees and programs offered provide little to no value in the actual world. You may think you will go into full-time Christian ministry, but most graduates of CIU do not. As a former Student President and graduate of CIU, I am ashamed of Columbia International University and I hope prospective students and their parents think twice before making the decision to go. Fast forward 4 years, you will have collected over 100K in tuition fees, you will have two useless degrees, and those 'degrees' will be from a nonreputable, unheard of university. You won't care about any of this at 17 or 18 years old. You will think student loans are fine and a degree won't affect my life much. It took me almost 15 years to pay off my loans with family help and scholarships. My 2 degrees have not helped me since the day I graduated. I say again, CIU is a con. The institution and faculty know it. It is an illusion – what you think will be, will not be. We had the most AHHHMAZING tour experience guided by the Dean of ICU, Scott R. Adams J.D. himself. I am so impressed with every aspect of this beautiful, immaculate campus. It is such a phenomenal learning environment for the students surrounded with walking trails, lakes, meditation locations, State of the Art Sports Fields, a beautiful Seminary, incredible Business School, IT School, Nursing School, etc.. I love Columbus State and this is why: Before Columbus State: Growing up, I was never interested in the information taught in school, because I did not feel like it was applicable to the real world. After a year at a private college, I was originally apprehensive to restart college at any college. I was also scared of a community college. I grew up in Michigan, and I felt like our local community colleges had negative stigmas attached to them. Luckily, my older brother took me into the application office in Delaware, OH to take the entrance exam. I believe I tested out of an english and/or a math class. While at Columbus State: I would like to note that I always attended C-State as I held a part time job (10-20 hours a week). I originally attended an EMT-B class at Columbus State. The class was more challenging than I had anticipated and was pretty time consuming. I received a B in this course, but found employment immediately in the field and felt confident in my skills. A year later, I returned to C-State with the desires to go to nursing school. Thanks to ample meetings with advisors in Health and Human Services, I decided to take some prerequisite nursing classes as there was a waiting list to apply for their nursing program (while I worked part time as an EMT-B). During this year, I found more confidence in my work and studies, feelings of support and encouragement from staff, and rewards from hard work. I was also able to sign up easily for academic accommodations for the first time in my life! I loved my time at Columbus State within this year! I never thought I would love school or receive my first 4.0 GPA in the spring and summer semesters. For the first time, school finally felt fulfilling for me. After Attending Columbus State: I decided to leave C-State after a full academic year, and I pursued a BSN degree through another local school. I often look back at my time at C-State and regret that I did not take more classes here while saving a decent amount of money! I would suggest night classes if you are willing and able. I found that students were more likely to be hard working, more mature, disciplined, and also employed. I also found professors who taught night classes were often from OSU and more understanding. Generally my teachers were all very competent, funny, and held experience in the world. The only negative experience that I found was dealing with C-Stat's Police department staff and accessing their gym/locker room. Students must sign up manually for the gym locker rooms every semester at C-State's Police department and then wait for several days for your card to be accepted from security/police. This system seems dated and non-productive. I feel like this process should be easily automated. This issue led to a negative experience I had with a police officer that identified as Sergeant Diamond. I felt like this officer escalated my personal situation while being disrespectful and patronizing. Another time I was eating a meal in my car between classes when a police car pulled up to me and asked why I was parked between two spots in an empty parking lot and then asked me to pick a spot. I'm sure the police department deals with things they don't want to. I could have been lucky and experienced two poor attitudes on hard days, but I do not feel like the police department is fulfilling their mission that states they want to provide "exceptional customer service" for their students based on my only two experiences with them. I would take a look at how the police staff is trained at C-State.Connor Hill

I have enjoyed Columbus State and majority of the people I’ve met here while on track to my BA but this college needs some serious restructuring. The biggest thing I wish Cstate would look into is their faculty. When I go to ratemyprofessor.com and see many of them at a 1 to 2 star rating, that concerns me. I have personally had good and bad professors here and majority of the good ones were adjunct professors, the bad ended up being tenured faculty. I wish the college would look into the gripes students have and start to question whether or not they should be hiring adjunct professors to replace them. The only other major issue I’ve had is from advisors. The point of the advisor is to advise the student on their education path, but when I have a genuine question or concern, interrupting/having a snarky attitude doesn’t come off as professional to me. One last thing, please talk with the finance department about putting a budget together for another parking garage. I don’t go during peak hours anymore but when I did parking was atrocious. It will be 6 weeks this semester (Spring 2019) before CSCC releases financial aid refunds. I cannot believe they get away with this! OSU is 9 days after the start of the semester! Some people rely on these excess funds to survive another semester of school! This should be illegal and I’m pretty sure it is because according to federal financial aid funds are to be released up to a max of 14 days after the start of a semester! Insane to make people wait 6 weeks+ to receive their refund. Also, parking is obnoxious here any time of day. It also seems to me that each department does not have a good linear structure of teaching so each professor is just kind of doing their own thing whichever way they feel like doing it. Some classes are too long some are too short. It really feels like no one is in control here it’s just a free for all I guess. Employees are not friendly in any way shape or form. By FAR THE WORST school ever!! This "school" does NOT care about the students! I was unable to receive my student loan because they stated that I was NOT enrolled when IN FACT I was!! The director of the Financial Aid office told me that she wouldn't change the decision for my loan even though THEY made the mistake. I got hung up on, I constantly got transferred to people who didn't know what was going on and on top of all that, the staff was rude! This school has managed to set me back from my program a whole entire YEAR!! I wasn't able to register for my classes because these people didn't "know" that there are two different A&P classes for different programs! Therefore, I had to become a transient student to make up for those courses. Out of all the comments I have ever heard about this school, not ONE comment was positive! I should've listened!! I am so disgusted with the lack of professionalism, lack of organization, lack of communication and lack of overall care for the students. I will NEVER recommend this "school" to anyone!!!Morgan S

Horrible school I recently finished the welding and joining technology program at the Grovetown Campus in which 3 semesters were with a teacher who was rude, disrespectful, and just sat in his office and didn’t care about the well being of his students I was basically teaching myself. Then just recently I contacted the new instructor who taught me for my final semester for a recommendation letter for employment opportunities and have yet to receive a email from him after he said he would write me one and took down my personal information. If you are going for a trade such as being a welder, electrician, carpenter etc. go through the Local Labor Unions In Augusta and get training and certifications at industry standards for free.Trace Woodyard

I am doing the Information Technology Program. I find that several of the instructors will assist to grasp the concepts and get adequate hands-on for the programming and IT(computer network) related subject than you would get at a four year institution like AU (Augusta University). Student organizations are present but not very active currently. Labs, classrooms and technology support are less than optimal or ideal as would be expected for a technical college. I hope that with the Georgia Cyber Center(GCC) being recently opened here things will change for the better in the school's future.STAN ANDER

First coming to Benedict College I honestly didn't know what to expect on this journey. I was hesitant, nervous and felt like "this isn't what college's look like on TV." It also didn't help that I started second semester so as I was coming in, people already had their set of friends and I was trying to figure out where I fit in at. I then realized that I couldn't just stay to myself so I got involved with activities on campus such as BC Underground and community life becoming an RHA. As I opened up to my fellow peers, formed lifelong bonds with people, and learned how much love and support I had from my professors, I can say my experience at Benedict has been a good one. I had the worst experience as a parent to a child who use to go there. I was trying to get his transcript so he would be able to attend another college. The young lady at the transcript office was really polite but once I went to the financial aid office it turn to like I was dumb and didn't know the reason why I came there. I mean it don't take a scientist to realize you can't get a transcript if you owe a debt so that's why I was sent there. The guy at the front desk was rude and not professional at all, he said to much that wasn't call for and I really do advise parents to check this college out before letting your child enter there. As an Alumnus of Benedict College I would say Benedict is a dynamic institution and an even better choice! The reality is that its not the perfect school for everyone, but if you're looking to take advantage of a great opportunity and have some defining experiences BC is a great choice! It is not a school you should come to just because mom wants you out of the house. If that's your largest aspiration then you'll FAIL and you wont enjoy the experience very much. I've met some of the most accomplished and talented professors at this institution. Not to mention, the family felt environment nurtures you but prepares you for the world! I really like the flexibility of the online courses, the affordability and the variety of degree options they have. My advisors and teachers have been very great but communicating with the other staff at this school is very frustrating. The employees in the financial aid department are very rude and condescending and they hang up on you abruptly whenever they get frustrated with you. The registar’s office is by far the WORST. Very nasty employees in that department who talk down to you and treat you like a child. They seem to forget they work for a college, not an elementary school. One spent 10 minutes arguing on the phone with me just because I wanted my new advisor’s phone number and email. The “career counselors” offer no type of help or advice and they just tell you to “google it” whenever you have a basic question about a certain major. They are also very judgmental if you express a desire to finish with only an associates degree and not transfer to a 4 year, not considering not everyone has the financial means to do so. The call center employees are very disrespectful and seem like they want to find reasons to argue with callers. There are also huge issues with miscommunication at this school and everyone seems to have different answers about certain topics which causes a lot of errors. Certain departments are also not great about contacting back even after leaving numerous voicemails/emails. Overall I like the school itself but they need to either retrain the employees on basic respect and customer service or they need to hire new ones.Resident Anon

The teachers here are all outstanding and they make you feel like they want you to succeed. I have taken College Algebra, Biology and Spanish in the classroom and the instructors were all topnotch. There is also additional help available to students in the free math lab and writing centers as well as Spanish tutoring. The online classes are not that confusing but you do need to pay attention because sometimes you are required to take classes through third-party online textbooks via the access codes. The only problems I had were with transferring credits to the school and getting contradictory information from the financial aid office on one occasion. I do wish the school did a better job with advising students but I understand the logistics issues. Everyone at the hub is friendly and helpful! Use them they are a great resource. I went to midlands tech for many years. I struggled through the nursing program (and associates in arts and associated in science programs) for years as a single mother of a child with disabilities who was also exiting a decade long abusive relationship. I walked on a broken foot for four months through Clinicals in order to make it, had a foot surgery, totaled cars, and 20+ hours a week of therapies for my son with disabilities. And still I made it to my LPN semester only to end up in the hospital the last week before finals. I was told that I could not have a medical drop as I had received one for my foot surgery and was forced to take test 3,4, and the final in the week following my visit to the hospital. My grade dropped from a 90 to a 79.4 and I was told that I’d have to repeat everything all over again. The ombudsman and the VP went to Mrs. Bannister and begged her to allow an exception based off of the healthcare related nature of my situation and she refused. This place ruined my life and left me with no way to support my child and no nursing career after I already had a job waiting for me on the surgical trauma floor at Richland. After everything I lived through and survived. I am still traumatized. This place will ruin your life. DO NOT ATTEND THIS COLLEGE! Edit: In addition to my previous post this school is taking it a step further and denying me the right to participate in graduation after everything I have been through due to me being locked out of my MTC email (PS who only sends email info on a school email? nothing in the mail?) and was unable to receive the notification in time and they are now refusing my participation in graduation. I am in the Computer Technology program and am supposed to be completing my last semester, however we are at midterm and I am now finding out I have 1 more class to take . This is particularly infuriating because not only did my advisor tell me how many courses i needed to take to graduate, but Financial aid department told me that the aid for the semester was awarded based on how many credit hours i needed to graduate (I am taking the classes that I was told and showed I needed). Overall, in my 2 years as a student, my opinion has always been that's it is very much a subpar school-regarding the staff as well as education quality. My first semester (my education foundation) I had 2 that didn’t care and literally booted you out of the classroom before class was over as they had other things to do. The computer advisors are extremely ill prepared to help anyone. They continuously have no idea what each class will teach you, do not know which classes you should take for any career path, and are usually new personnel each semester. I, like many other students here, have a family outside of school and do not have the means to be a student and unemployed for another semester. Also, they don't have ANY tutors for the computer department! This makes things VERY difficult. The teachers do what they can in their office hours, and I can name 3 or 4 that are worth calling a teacher/professor and actually care about the subject and students. They claim to help you find a job after, and boast they have company’s asking them for their graduates… however this is not easily accessed, nor are there plentiful opportunities once graduated. The level of education and subjects taught seem not to be in line at all with what is desired by companies.srnclb

The most terrible school I have ever been to. Both the main campus and the Community college are the same. A lot of slow, unprofessional, and rude staff who keep yelling at students when they are not even doing their jobs properly. I submitted a certain paper to the Financial Aid office and they told me they lost the paper after weeks that I had to pay about $1700 out of pocket. During the 2020 Pandemic, I tried to contact them as I was having difficulty to waive the Student Insurance that is provided through the school because I already had an insurance coverage; no one answered my call until it was due. And now Miss Gaskon told me that I have to pay about $1300 for the coverage I never needed. Mis Gascon was there in 2018/19 when I had the same issue; she helped me waive it then. I could not go to her office in 2020 be a of Covid restrictions. I tried to solve the issue communicating with them but nothing got better yet. I would not recommend anyone to go the UDC unless one needs a headache. I cannot deny that there are some great Professors such as Prof. Sonnie Abebaku. However, individuals are very helpful to us, it’s overall experience at the university that makes a difference in our academic lives. So far, my overall experience is just TERRIBLE!Henok D

Worst administration I have ever had to deal with. Not only do they never respond to email or phone calls, they can't even keep track of ELECTRONIC applications, that required my daughter to submit 3 times and be forced enrolled late into classes due to their incompetence. But they also can't even have the literacy to read the applications correctly to charge the correct rate to students. They went ahead to charge not only my daughter but several other students out-of-state resident rates when all their applications illustrated DC residents. Like how can you not even read what's on the applications! How many other students were charged nearly 3 times when they should have been charged as a DC residents scares me on the level of corruption and neglect this body demonstrates to it's it's attendees.0 Then to not even have the decency and competence to even respond to emails and calls to try to correct this is just completely absurd, no wonder UDC is a laughing stock of a school to attend they can't even serve as a place to get extra credits for actual schools. Okay So I applied about 3weeks to a month ago and I’ve yet to receive any papers informing me if I was missing any documents or etc. I’ve called at least 5 times a day for about two weeks straight leaving voicemail after voicemail and no one has yet to return my call not only did I call multiple times I have also emailed them multiple and no response. This is THE WORST school ever. I don’t even know where to begin. They lost my transcripts three times, certain advisors have NO idea what they’re talking about, if a class gets canceled for the semester they’ll wait a week before classes start to let you know. My boyfriend had a worse experience than I have. They put him in the wrong major for a whole year. But just a semester, A WHOLE year. He should’ve gotten his nursing degree back in February, but now he has 4 more semesters because these idiots don’t know what they’re doing. I love the advisers and have enjoyed my classes but the waiting period to get into programs is absolutely ridiculous. They claim to have done away with waiting list this past year, but it still takes 2-3 years to get into the “2 year” programs because they only accept like 20 people each year. The waiting list for Dental Hygiene is almost 8 years!!!! If I hadn’t of wasted 4 years here and taken so many classes. I would not be waiting to get into their program and deff would go somewhere else. Most LPN programs are around 16 months long to graduate, it takes 2 years just to GET IN to their LPN program.Stephanie

Before you attend this school make sure the career that you plan on pursuing has this school listed on their application because if it doesn't and you have to select Other your application will probably get overlooked for a hire. (Don't wait until you graduate to find this out) Also make sure that the career that your pursuing will hire you. The worst thing would be getting a degree and you can't get a job because companies wouldn't hire you because they want a more corporate look 😑and you basically have a degree you can't use and end up working at Amazon or UPS.XL

Clean cut at its best. Given the shenanigans going on at most college campuses today, it was nice to see respect and professionalism on display everywhere. No ragged and torn clothing, no Rand McNally maps running up and down arms (tattoos) no steel dangling from noses, no pants hanging half off butts, one could feel pride in America and hope for the future when touring this vast and beautiful campus. A quick tour showed this to be a non-nonsense, education first, institution. Having been in the military, it did not take me long to figure out that the "fast walkers" were freshmen. They stuck to their designated walkways, off the sidewalks for the most part, walking at a fast clip with a pronounced gait, and making sharp right turns at the corners. We would go back in a heartbeat and you should too when you start to lose faith in America. Different uniforms but it reminded me a lot of Annapolis. God bless the USA.Jack

“The Citadel” is the Pride of the South! We have quite a few family and friends that are graduates of The Citadel. My son will be graduating High School in 2023 so we took time this Summer to visit colleges with our first stop here. Our Admissions Officer, Josh Simons (also alumni) gave an excellent presentation. If you’re not serious or dedicated to higher education and pushing yourself mentally and physically to be your absolute best, this isn’t the school for you! If you’re a leader or want to be and you have honor, understand duty, respect others and authority then you may be a candidate. I have confidence and hope my son will choose to be a cadet. He’s an athlete which will only add to a positive four year experience for him.Simone

So I didn't get a chance to post this back in June / July time frame when I visited the club way back when I was at the US Army Drill Sergeant Academy there in Ft. Jackson however, being a trainer at Title Boxing Club Greensboro, NC. I had to go and check this club out because as soon as I heard there was a Title off post and we were allowed to go off post up for 48 hours, I took full advantage! I stopped by and was greeted by Bryan I believe it was and another female trainer. Both were amazing and the class was remarkable. Awesome experience. I would have signed up for a membership if I were in town longer. Unfortunately, I was only back home for the holidays and gave one of the free classes a shot. Definitely one of the best work outs I've had to date. You basically get a warm up, a really intense heavy bag workout, and finish it up with some cardio and abs. SHOUT OUT to the staff I was with (Quentin, Chris, and Alisa). They were all friendly, engaging, and knew how to motivate you. Very similar to "9 rounds" except you get more of the basics and boxing fundamentals mixed in throughout the workout which I enjoy. I highly recommend checking this place out.Martin Gonzalez

I HATE WORKING OUT BUT I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! IT'S ADDICTIVE! The instructors are terrific, workouts are intense, members and staff are supportive and encouraging AND IT'S LOTS OF FUN!!! I don't even make excuses not to workout anymore. Now, I hustle and sometimes rearrange my schedule to get to TITLE BOXING to take a class every day!!! (Oops, did I say that out loud?) For more than a year of often-severe nerve pain, I had taken and was taking, prescriptions specifically for that kind of pain. I had epidurals approximately a year apart, hoping the second injection would "work" (stop the pain for a while). Like the first one, the second didn't alleviate or even lessen my pain. Thankfully the therapists at Pinnacle Physical Therapy and Personal Training knew how to help me. The environment there was professional, compassionate, and positive.The space itself and the scheduling were well organized. It was obvious that the team members work well together and are committed to their clients' well-being. Bottom line, I was comfortable there. Every time I went. The sessions were productive. A sequence of stretches I was shown during the first couple of visits have remained a relatively easy "go to" when the pain finds me now. During each visit I enjoyed some body work after warming up, stretches and other exercises. I've had enough body work in my life to know when I'm in capable hands. With Tory and Kasey, I was in more-than-competent hands. They had studied my MRI report and would review that and notes from the previous visit before each visit, sometimes as I was warming up. From the first time I stopped by, Sarah (Pinnacle receptionist-administrative-clerical angel) could not have been nicer or more helpful. Her helpful efficiency continued from that day until I "graduated." Before I started coming here for issues with my back, so many times, I had heard my doctor say, "there are 50 people walking around right now with your symptoms." When I started coming to Pinnacle, I discovered they don't care about those other 50 people, they are only focused on what's going in my body, and how I'm feeling. They don't just go through the motions with your treatment, but they listen to everything you tell them and come up with a plan tailored just for you. They truly want you to get better, and will do everything they can to help you. I also discovered that I am more than just my condition. Everyone is so nice and take the time to get to know you as a person. I have been to other clinics and the only thing the therapist said to me was, "do this 10 times, do this 15 times." At Pinnacle, they provide a pleasant and engaging environment. The staff are not just nice because you are a client, but because they are all truly nice people. The most important way they help is by educating people to what is happening in their body, and that helped me understand why I was in pain, get over my fear of being touched, and helped me trust them and the process. I don't trust anybody else with my body. I have been to many different therapy clinics in Columbia, West Columbia, and Lexington, but Pinnacle is the best, without a doubt. Almost a year ago I came to Pinnacle at the recommendation of my orthopedic surgeon. Many years of incorrectly lifting weights led to some shoulder issues which needed correcting if I was to continue weight training. Working with Kyra not only has increased my strength but I've done so without further injury to my shoulder! She's extremely knowledgeable and very fun to workout with. Even though the 30 minutes sessions are not long they are non-stop. I leave there feeling like I've really had a great workout! Looking forward to many more years of training with Kyra! Training Concepts is a great place to start your IT career and get new knowledge (this is my case) or to develop your professional IT skills. There are tonnes of courses for different levels. You can take classes, self-study and take certification exam there. All stuff is very professional and friendly. Wow, where to even start. Wesley has been my trainer for the last three years and I cannot begin to tell you all of the wonderful things that he brings to the table. Wes has pushed me when I needed to be pushed and given me modifications when I when I was pregnant or had an injury. EQ Fitness is a legit, amazing place. I was never a fan of group workouts, but EQ changed my mind. The classes are fun and fast paced, the music is great, and Wes is the man! I don’t think there are enough words to describe how Wes changes our lives with this type of gym. Classes are fun but he is mindful of each and every person and their strengths and weaknesses. I joined Dynamic, West Cola, in early April, and so far have loved my experience. There was no hassle or pressure to sign up for anything (much less the stuff I don't need). What I pay for my Dynamic membership is comparable to the other gyms near me (Planet Fitness and MUV), BUT I have had NO issues with machine availability or parking. Janell gave me a fitness assessment and one-on-one instruction when I started and continues to follow up with me to make sure my workouts are the best they can be for the results I'm seeking! I love that she is so personable, knowledgeable, and attentive! The rest of the staff and members have been friendly and respectful as well. The facility is clean and has met my every need. I'm very excited about the move to 24/7 hours in May. It's been so nice to have a safe space to workout in.Caroline C.

I love training with Diane! However, the gym recently changed to "24-hour access". The change requires existing members to pay an additional $10/month to access the gym before 8:00 am. This change has made it impossible for me to continue training with Diane at the same time without having to accept the increase. This gym is great if you are looking for a personal trainer and enjoy group classes. But given how they structure their contracts (2 years minimum), their arduous contract termination process, and recent experience with the price change, I cannot recommend becoming a member.Aleesha Clark

I love this place! It never full when I go and it's small enough of a gym that I know exactly where everything is at and can move quickly between sets. Despite its smallness compares to other major gyms, they have everything a person could need. They do require 1 year-3 year contracts though which is almost a deal breaker for me. They also provide childcare from 8-12 and 4-8 M-F. And even 8-12 on Saturdays. That made up for the contract to me.Danielle Fulk

Staff was very unprofessional and there was an extreme lack of communication relating to retrieving my info from the Atlanta facility, confirming my appointment and confirming my information was received. No one called or email and the owner fail to address this egregious lack of communication which also resulted in an erroneously charge and once again, the owner had no concern about the charge. Owner didn't have any empathy as I traveled from Atlanta to board my dogs and informed me that she was canceling my boarding reservation instead of trying to rectify the issue. Again very unprofessional and I felt I received discrimination to it's highest level. Will never use or recommend this facility to any of my military constituents, business partners or friends. The worse customer service I received since returning from Afghanistan in 2012. Absolutely the worse!!!!!!!D Basham

My friend took her dog to Camp Bow Wow, after finding out it was closer to her home than the previous daycare she took her dog to. At his previous daycare, he did great, never had any issues with the employees or the dogs. Her dog was at Camp Bow Wow for less than a week before she was told that he supposedly got into two fights with two different dogs before 9 am, and waited to let her know until 5:30 when she went to pick him up, and was told he was “banned”. They provided zero footage, and are now not responding to phone calls so that we can take a look at what had happened so that she can figure out what direction to take in regards to getting a trainer. They always go above and beyond for our Bandit who can be rather shy! He loves Camp and always looks forward to seeing his pals! Camp Bow Wow Columbia has always made my dog SO Happy! He comes back tired and he always has so much fun with his doggo pals! He is a very shy rescue dog, but has really come out of his shell and gotten great socialization through doggy day care and overnight stays. The owners and employees here truly care about you and your special pup and make sure you are happy and feel that you are leaving your pup in the best hands!Barbara Lercara

I can't say enough great things about the Capital Karate family! We found them at just the right time when our son needed them the most. His confidence increased exponentially within one lesson at Capital Karate! He speaks up more in class. He stood up for a younger kid at his elementary school.–He didn't have to get physical, but he had the confidence to speak up for the little kid who was about to get bullied. He is more intentional about doing his chores, helping out around the house and keeping his grades up so he can keep going to classes. All of these are things that can be traced directly back to the influence of Capital Karate because they encourage the development of the all-around individual beyond the karate skills. Also, the staff is full of consummate professionals who have this uncanny ability to memorize ALL of the children's names. I have no clue how they do it. At first I was timid in this activity because he is special needs and has Down Syndrome. Enrolling my son into Capital Karate has been one of the greatest decisions his father and I ever made. The instructors are amazingly patient and work hand and hand with all students. They are understanding to my son, which makes him feel and believe he can do any and everything his peers does. It's more than the physical aspect of karate but their concept builds true character, confidence, and his improving behavior!!! We were first Introduced to Mr. Andrew through Heathwood Hall, he came to do classes once a week to the after school kids. My son admired Mr. Andrew and watching how good he was with my son, led us to trying out the classes. Everyone at Capital Karate is great, and very hands on with the kids. My son enjoyed his classes. When my son struggled with managing his emotions in school which led to him fighting in school Mr. Andrew talked to my son which made a world of difference. I would recommend this place 100.
