So I literally haven’t even started my for spring semester & I am DREADING going here. Almost everyone but TWO people have been extremely rude to me over the phone and I’ve gotten hung up on multiple times. I wish I would have read the reviews of this school before applying. I will be actively looking for a new school to be apart of this semester. I’m hoping my professors make up for the horrible office staff. I will happily take my money elsewhere where they appreciate students. Very disappointed.. I was hoping to stay with this school to finish out my dental hygienists dreams but now I’m running the other way because of the office staff alone. A great college experience. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a more one on one experience. The classes are a lot smaller, so it's easier to get help if you need it. The instructors are always willing to work with you, and there are no student loans. Also, all the people complaining about the offices "not doing their jobs" are the ones who, most likely, are used to being handed everything. You are responsible for your paperwork. As a 4th year student who will be graduating in Spring 2018, I will be terribly sad to be forced to leave such a terrific school. UGA has provided me with all the opportunities I could ever want. I was looking for a college that would have all the resources I would need in order to go to Optometry School and UGA has exceeded my expectations. The classes here have truly prepared me well for the next 4 years of my life. I am grateful to have gone to such an amazing school. If you’re looking to go into the healthcare field and want to be best prepared for graduate school, UGA is the right way to go. Also, the campus is large and beautiful! After UGA, I will be attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham College of Optometry. So luckily, I won’t be too far from UGA. I do regret not having gone to a football game during my time here and would have loved to see UGA kick butt on the Sanford field. Sigh….Namra Aslam

One of the best Univeristy of the State. Professors are nice and professional. Campus is huge and lively. Food is delicious; you should try its buffet at any dining halls. Attended the University of Georgia for 3 degrees. Absolutely loved my experience and wouldn't trade it for any other at another institution. In addition to Athens being a beautiful city and UGA having a beautiful campus, I felt I was appropriately challenged as a student. Bruh, the whole school trash…literally. The instructors ain’t instructing. Do not take online classes, the teachers NEVER respond! They didn’t post assignments until 2 weeks after class started and I was literally begging each one to respond to my messages to see what was going on.. THEY NEVER RESPONDED! Then they posted the missed assignments last (with no communication to the students) and expected it to be done in 2 days. I was sick with Covid and emailed every one of them to make-up work, no response initially (which caused me to fall behind), and then when I kept emailing, everyone lied and said they re-opened the missed assignments but did not! It took over 3 months to be admitted to the school. I kept calling and getting switched from department to department , no call backs and no emails- I should’ve knew then. I’m looking for another school to switch to next semester that will let me take my Accounting major online- I REFUSE to give this school FREE money! They need to be reported and sued. Maybe even closed down. THIS ISN’T A REAL SCHOOL! MARK MY WORDS! Lets all work together and get this school shut down permanently! A Mississippian now trying to get back in school after seven years,found Atlanta technical college.I had the hardest most difficult time reaching a advisor for the Paralegal course. I called numerous times and left a voicemail. I also called the dean and no answer. I sent an email to my advisor and received no reply. I finally got a call from my advisor like one day before the summer course start . I was so upset I wanted to attend this summer 2022. The advisor advised me not to start because class starts the next day and I would be rushing and scrambling to buy books and schedule classes. I hate that this school makes it hard for us who are really trying to get this magic ticket to the so called “ American Dream”. I’ve been to better schools in Mississippi and Indiana. I applied and send all required docs in July ai go to the school 1x a week just to be told they have a new system and my application will be updated in 48-72 hours.. No one answered any contact number and whoever is answering the the calls either automatically puts the calls in the waiting queue, or doesn’t want to answer your questions and rushes you off the phone, this morning alone I have been on hold two hours and have yet to speak to anyone. I love Columbus State and this is why: Before Columbus State: Growing up, I was never interested in the information taught in school, because I did not feel like it was applicable to the real world. After a year at a private college, I was originally apprehensive to restart college at any college. I was also scared of a community college. I grew up in Michigan, and I felt like our local community colleges had negative stigmas attached to them. Luckily, my older brother took me into the application office in Delaware, OH to take the entrance exam. I believe I tested out of an english and/or a math class. While at Columbus State: I would like to note that I always attended C-State as I held a part time job (10-20 hours a week). I originally attended an EMT-B class at Columbus State. The class was more challenging than I had anticipated and was pretty time consuming. I received a B in this course, but found employment immediately in the field and felt confident in my skills. A year later, I returned to C-State with the desires to go to nursing school. Thanks to ample meetings with advisors in Health and Human Services, I decided to take some prerequisite nursing classes as there was a waiting list to apply for their nursing program (while I worked part time as an EMT-B). During this year, I found more confidence in my work and studies, feelings of support and encouragement from staff, and rewards from hard work. I was also able to sign up easily for academic accommodations for the first time in my life! I loved my time at Columbus State within this year! I never thought I would love school or receive my first 4.0 GPA in the spring and summer semesters. For the first time, school finally felt fulfilling for me. After Attending Columbus State: I decided to leave C-State after a full academic year, and I pursued a BSN degree through another local school. I often look back at my time at C-State and regret that I did not take more classes here while saving a decent amount of money! I would suggest night classes if you are willing and able. I found that students were more likely to be hard working, more mature, disciplined, and also employed. I also found professors who taught night classes were often from OSU and more understanding. Generally my teachers were all very competent, funny, and held experience in the world. The only negative experience that I found was dealing with C-Stat's Police department staff and accessing their gym/locker room. Students must sign up manually for the gym locker rooms every semester at C-State's Police department and then wait for several days for your card to be accepted from security/police. This system seems dated and non-productive. I feel like this process should be easily automated. This issue led to a negative experience I had with a police officer that identified as Sergeant Diamond. I felt like this officer escalated my personal situation while being disrespectful and patronizing. Another time I was eating a meal in my car between classes when a police car pulled up to me and asked why I was parked between two spots in an empty parking lot and then asked me to pick a spot. I'm sure the police department deals with things they don't want to. I could have been lucky and experienced two poor attitudes on hard days, but I do not feel like the police department is fulfilling their mission that states they want to provide "exceptional customer service" for their students based on my only two experiences with them. I would take a look at how the police staff is trained at C-State.Connor Hill

I have enjoyed Columbus State and majority of the people I’ve met here while on track to my BA but this college needs some serious restructuring. The biggest thing I wish Cstate would look into is their faculty. When I go to ratemyprofessor.com and see many of them at a 1 to 2 star rating, that concerns me. I have personally had good and bad professors here and majority of the good ones were adjunct professors, the bad ended up being tenured faculty. I wish the college would look into the gripes students have and start to question whether or not they should be hiring adjunct professors to replace them. The only other major issue I’ve had is from advisors. The point of the advisor is to advise the student on their education path, but when I have a genuine question or concern, interrupting/having a snarky attitude doesn’t come off as professional to me. One last thing, please talk with the finance department about putting a budget together for another parking garage. I don’t go during peak hours anymore but when I did parking was atrocious. It will be 6 weeks this semester (Spring 2019) before CSCC releases financial aid refunds. I cannot believe they get away with this! OSU is 9 days after the start of the semester! Some people rely on these excess funds to survive another semester of school! This should be illegal and I’m pretty sure it is because according to federal financial aid funds are to be released up to a max of 14 days after the start of a semester! Insane to make people wait 6 weeks+ to receive their refund. Also, parking is obnoxious here any time of day. It also seems to me that each department does not have a good linear structure of teaching so each professor is just kind of doing their own thing whichever way they feel like doing it. Some classes are too long some are too short. It really feels like no one is in control here it’s just a free for all I guess. Employees are not friendly in any way shape or form. Honestly the only good thing about this school is how cheap it is. “You get what you pay for.” 🤷‍♂️614 Realness

By FAR THE WORST school ever!! This "school" does NOT care about the students! I was unable to receive my student loan because they stated that I was NOT enrolled when IN FACT I was!! The director of the Financial Aid office told me that she wouldn't change the decision for my loan even though THEY made the mistake. I got hung up on, I constantly got transferred to people who didn't know what was going on and on top of all that, the staff was rude! This school has managed to set me back from my program a whole entire YEAR!! I wasn't able to register for my classes because these people didn't "know" that there are two different A&P classes for different programs! Therefore, I had to become a transient student to make up for those courses. Out of all the comments I have ever heard about this school, not ONE comment was positive! I should've listened!! I am so disgusted with the lack of professionalism, lack of organization, lack of communication and lack of overall care for the students. I will NEVER recommend this "school" to anyone!!!Morgan S

Horrible school I recently finished the welding and joining technology program at the Grovetown Campus in which 3 semesters were with a teacher who was rude, disrespectful, and just sat in his office and didn’t care about the well being of his students I was basically teaching myself. Then just recently I contacted the new instructor who taught me for my final semester for a recommendation letter for employment opportunities and have yet to receive a email from him after he said he would write me one and took down my personal information. If you are going for a trade such as being a welder, electrician, carpenter etc. go through the Local Labor Unions In Augusta and get training and certifications at industry standards for free.Trace Woodyard

I am doing the Information Technology Program. I find that several of the instructors will assist to grasp the concepts and get adequate hands-on for the programming and IT(computer network) related subject than you would get at a four year institution like AU (Augusta University). Student organizations are present but not very active currently. Labs, classrooms and technology support are less than optimal or ideal as would be expected for a technical college. I hope that with the Georgia Cyber Center(GCC) being recently opened here things will change for the better in the school's future.STAN ANDER

I enrolled in the Adult Cosmetology two year program here and from the start my experience was mediocre. During my time there I had teachers come and go, I had 3 teachers through out the program. The first 'instructor' for the first year was more interested in being your friend then a teacher. Talked poorly about other students when they were not around and was more interested in getting her own hair colored the majority of the time instead of teaching. She favorited students and had a lack of caring. Our second instructor was there for a couple months and I had sadly learned more from her in those few months then I had with my first instructor. Our third instructor was the best by far, if only we had had her from the beginning. Now the school itself is shady. A few students and myself were prepared to graduate in July until the head of the Adult Education program came to us and said we had to be done with the program by June, 4 weeks prior. If we did not finish that was on us. I would not recommend this school to ANYONE. Find a better school that will provide you with the best education possible and is worth your money.Marissa Walczak

I was in the cosmetology program graduate in 2019 and I’ve been recommending Polaris to everyone! Best schooling I’ve ever done. my instructor ms.hasan was the best teacher I’ve ever had,she really cared about her students and making sure everyone got everything and made sure you brought the best out of you. She a very caring and loving person and I would not be the stylist/person I am if it wasn’t for her. Every program here is amazing and sets you up for success. I was pursing my Bachelors Degree but had to leave college due to unforeseen financial difficulties. I was looking for a job in the IT field but no one wants to hire you unless you have years of experience. I had heard about the Per Scholars program and decided it would be a great option in getting the experience I needed in order to obtain a job that would pay enough for me to go back to college. I attended the orientation which was very informative. Passed both reading and math TABE exams, filled out all the forms, submitted all the necessary documents, and took both assessments for their engineering programs. I have yet to hear back from the program on whether or not I passed the last assessments. Its been over 2 weeks! I've emailed, called, left messages and haven't heard back from anyone. Classes start next month, and I'm stuck! I've turned down numerous jobs thinking this program would be great for me. I appreciate programs like Per Scholas trying to uplift communities, especially minority communities, but this really is a shame.deKKo 213

Perscholas has changed my life dramatically and will always have a place in my heart and in my Future. The instructors are amazing. They work with you to help you become the best person you can be. I am A+ certified and working on my Network+. I am an alumni from Perscholas. The admissions director does a fantastic job at recruiting people who are determined and hard working individuals. My classmates were very helpful and diverse. I recommend this program to anyone who has a passion for IT and wants a great career. The course is 15 weeks. Not only do you get hands on IT training, but you also get business development. You have a separate instructor who helps build you resume and confidence to get you interview ready. I just received my bachelor's from Herzing University, and I cannot say that I would recommend this school to anyone. For those looking to pursue education exclusively online, I would say that this program is pretty straightforward, however, being on the Atlanta campus was stressful more than half of the time. When I started there in 2013, there were a number of professors that were so passionate about teaching (for instance Mrs. Hess, Mr.Moore and Dr. Friedman <—this guy had to be the best instructor to teach mathematics I've ever had) but to my knowledge, they've all left the campus. Now, it seems like they're understaffed and just unprofessional overall. I had a professor tell me that they asked him to teach a course the day before (leaving him unprepared, and I honestly felt that he was unqualified to teach the class (but when the lesson plans are laid out for you I suppose anyone can teach anything). In the time that I was there, there were three academic deans and three presidents. I tried to get assistance with tutoring once, and I had to literally chase them down to respond to me. Then, three weeks into the class with no tutor and the dean asked me, "Do you think getting a tutor at this point is worth it?" Seeing as though this was the last class I needed to graduate, I was baffled. What kind of question is that to ask a student? When enrolling here, I was under the impression that I would be able to take the majority of my classes on campus. I was a criminal justice student, and the majority of my criminal justice courses, and none of my law classes were available on ground. I pretty much just took my gen-ed classes on campus, and ended up online for two years because none of my other classes were offered on ground. To wrap this up, if you're looking to take classes exclusively online, then sure, give this school a shot, but I could never see myself returning here to further my education.Rose Gold

I am currently in the process of trying to communicate with my advisor, Mr. Jermonte Battle after leaving messages and emails and no response. I was transferred to another advisor who sounded like he did not want to assist whats so ever and was quick to get rid of me over the phone. They are definitely money hungry and make you go through hoops to take of business! This college has made a terrible impression. They got me admitted as a transfer student, and I have been preparing for the Fall session online, but to appear in person, and I just found out I missed the registration deadlines because student advising never got back to me. I took the new student orientation and the professor, just skimmed through all the info. There wasn't time for questions, and she cut it short by 30 minutes. It didn't even explain how to register online. I had been in communication and prepared for this session but didn't understand how to register so all the classes I had 'added to my schedule' weren't actually registered, and no one followed up with my questions. I thought I was registered, and even as I try to register now after the fact, it still says I need student advising which no one ever got back to be except for an email to say I already had everything set up. I am torn about this. Now I have to wait another session to get started?! NO! I will take my education somewhere where I can actually get assistance. This is such an emotional drag.Gabrielle Flores

I’m not sure what all the negative reviews are about. This establishment is FREE and beautiful yet people still complain. Anyway, my kiddo and I had a great time today. The gardens are being prepped and it’s still winter so obviously not much was happening there but I cannot wait to come back when everything is in bloom 🌻🌸🌺 Parking was plenty, I’m sure the weekends might be a bit crazy. Although it’s free and free parking, donation is welcome and there’s a small box for it near the entrance. Great place for photos! The kids playground was awesome as well. The bathrooms were clean. What an amazing place. All of the volunteers were so knowledgeable and so friendly. Even just the visitors were kind. The gift shop was fabulous and I picked up a few things for friends and family. I didn't get a chance to see the Holiday lights at night. But it was even more beautiful in the day. Everything is labeled so perfectly when you walk through. That only do you learn but you get a little bit of a hands-on experience with everything. Words cannot express what a fabulous time I had. My family and I came here for Winter Wonderlights and had a wonderful time. The volunteers were super friendly, the event was well spaced both inside and out, it wasn't too busy, they had a shuttle service for parking, an elevator and wheelchairs for those who needed them, and while masks were mandated on the shuttle they were had a box to pass them out before you got on if you didn't have one! We had a great time, and I would recommend this for a fun, family friendly, and affordable distraction for the Holiday Season.James Taylor

The teachers are all remarkably expertise of their respected fields and many of them wear many hats at RCA. There is a great sense of camaraderie among the staff members and how they pour into every student and support their family members…which is so beautiful that it feels like you're indeed surrounded by "family." Words cannot merely convey just how blessed my family were to have witnessed the unconditional, relentless, dedication, love, and empowerment of the staff member's drive for each student. This is the student demographics for the Ron Clark Academy. One Hispanic student out of their entire student body. This is a non profit school that is funded by a diverse group of sponsors and donors. They have received hundreds of application from Hispanic kids during their years in operation and yet they currently only have one Hispanic student. I'll be looking into this. All kids deserves a FAIR chance to be part of this school. I'm blessed that my son has other options but what about the other Hispanic kids who don't. I hope the local media gets involved. Enjoyed observations, not an ordinary school. Left with a few good ideas, but I felt like it was mostly a tour, an expensive tour. I enjoyed seeing the use of best practices during observations, but I also wanted actual instructional time from the teachers. Don't get me wrong you are able to ask questions in the sessions, but the ones that I really wanted to get more information about for example, engagement, were cut very short because of the transition timing. some of the teachers were only able to give us two or three strategies that they used instead of being able to give us more information about how to initiate these practices at the beginning of the year.Denice Korean

This class was TERRIBLE!!! Let me start by saying if you have taken this class multiple times and are just renewing and want a quick 1hr crash course then this is the location for you. However, if you have never taken a bls class before then definitely don't go here! The instructor showed NO videos and didn't refer to the book or any written material for that matter. She quickly demonstrated the cpr techniques on adult and infant mannequins and that was it. It's like she just read off some notes and left it at that. She clearly didn't want to be there. There were a handful of students who had never taken a bls class before and were just utterly confused. The renewals of the course basically taught the class to their new student partners smh. I have never been to a bls class this unprofessional and unorganized before in all my 10 years as a nurse. It was literally supposed to be a 3hr course that was slimmed down to less than an hr. I just really feel sorry for the new students. They literally stated they didn't learn anything. Definitely DO NOT recommend this place if you really want to learn something.Mandia Marsh

I've worked in healthcare for 8 years now, and I have taken several BLS courses during this time. The class had a very poor depth of instruction and disorganized format. Instructor did not appear to be familiar or well-versed in the materials presented. If you are looking for a more involved level of in-person instruction, look elsewhere. I was fortunate enough to complete my YTT at the Dominican Tree House Village in El Valle, Samana. I am so thankful for Shelley and being able to share my yoga story. Shelley is a woman of many virtues but my favorite is her being able to hold space for diverse populations in yoga (BIPOC/LGBTQIA+). I was supported during my learning journey, and encouraged throughout my training to continue to create space for other individuals like myself. Our training was well organized, detail oriented, knowledgeable, and a healthy balance between learning, resting, and adventure! I was paired with the best roommate and suite mates ever! I am terrified of being in the jungle but knowing I was there with three other women, made it so worth while. Finally, Emma made the most amazing Dominican cuisine for us daily and the Tree House Staff were so hospitable. I was attending a different yoga studio in the Atlanta area, but was no longer feeling the sense of community I had grown accustomed to. So I took a class at Dancing Dogs Yoga instead, hoping to find a better fit. I've loved most of the instructors/classes I've taken so far. I find the classes difficult but doable, warm but not too hot. I have also enjoyed the wide variety of music that is played during class, the hands-on adjustments offered and the lavender towels at the end. I also think it's worth noting as a plus sized yogi, that I feel like I fit in when I attend a class, full of people of all sizes, shapes, abilities, etc. I'm excited to take more 830am classes here!Marisa Levy

I’ve done studio yoga and private 1-on-1 sessions, and this is by far the most fun I have ever had doing yoga. All of the instructors are so supportive and welcoming, and very eager to teach and correct. The studio is inviting, and everyone is encouraged to own their practice, wherever they are in their practice. No shaming. No competition. My husband came upon Atlanta CPR when we were searching for a location to learn infant CPR for ourselves and our new nanny. It was so easy to schedule and they offered the course in spanish and in english. We elected for the course in spanish so our nanny could follow easily and it was fantastic. Email correspondence was quick and concise; we were able to nail down a schedule within a day or two. When we arrived, it was a course just for us. Stevalie was absolutely phenomenal and it was great to hear that she was finishing up her med school (hard to beat that type of authority) in the coming weeks in addition to working as a doula (double whammy!). Her spanish was excellent and clear. We were able to follow along on the dolls available on location and by the end I felt much more competent at the idea of having to perform CPR or help dislodge an object from my future baby's air passage. Had a negative experience here. Our class was supposed to start at 11a. The previous class was clearly running over. We asked the instructor when our class was starting and he kept saying “I got physicians here”. Made it clear we weren’t important and our previously scheduled class time wasn’t going to be honored. Instructor could have just said “I apologize we are very behind schedule, we will start at 11:15a” or something similar. He was clearly annoyed we were asking when our class would start. When we initially asked he even said “you can reschedule” in an annoyed tone. Maybe he was just having a bad day and this was an anomaly. Hospitality is most important to ATL CPR and most important to me. I love when I feel like I am being taken care of. Money don’t grow on trees. It’s easy to feel nervous or apprehensive about experiencing something new but the instructor instantly comforted the group and united us all to feel like a family. That’s a gift within him- now let the class begin! After he established rapport- he taught the class in a manner that was comprehensive and fluid and humorous. Do your research before attending CGTC. They are money hungry and may try to hold your transcripts claiming you owe them money. They told me I owed them over $300 for classes I registered for even though I could not have done that since I had already moved out of the state and had no intention of going back to that school. They lied and gave me the run around when I tried to sort it out. In the end I had no other recourse but to pay the balance so that I could continue education. If I had still been in Georgia this would not have happened because I would have been up there everyday but because I had relocated they knew they had the upper hand. .Whats worse is I was there because it was a recommended school for MyCAA(military funding). I hope that a lawyer catches wind of their fraudulent methods and sues them or the state closes them.Juliet Boone

This post isn’t concerning the school but the cdl program they are affiliated with. I applied last (fall of 2021) I was on a wait list. Now it’s almost summer (2022). And I’m still on the wait list. And to be clear, the wait list isn’t the problem, it’s the fact that I talked to a young lady who informed me I’d be in the summer class. She told me to update my application from fall to summer(so I did) and I would start class this summer. May 19. But when I spoke with Ms Renea, I’m now number 256… I mean if I’m that far down, why was it necessary to update for summer? I could’ve done an updated app for the fall!Tiffany Houston

This place is an absolute JOKE masquerading as a higher learning institution. Advisors are slow to respond-if they even respond at all, Instructors FAIL TO INSTRUCT. I've asked for feedback on my assignments and not received it. Ive been denied assistance and additional information when I asked for it. One class is LITERALLY JUST FOLLOWING FREE YOUTUBE TUTORIALS!!!!!! And the other one has so many errors, and such poor grammar that comprehending what the instructor is asking you to do is near impossible. Project Body has quickly become my new home. I am Not a huge fan of working out, but I like to be active. I tried the 7-day trial at PB & after the first class I knew that I would become a member. I even got my best friend to join after her first class. The workouts are fun, and always different. It’s almost impossible to get bored. The instructors are AMAZING! Claudia, the owner, is always so happy & energetic I love her ABC classes. Erilyn & Rae are gems! Their classes always give me a great sweat & I leave feeling so empowered. I love that this gym isn’t like other ATL gyms. It’s not a fashion show or a place to show off, it’s a place where real women with real bodies come to workout with no judgement. I’m on my third month with unlimited virtual classes at Project Body, and I’m really loving it!! I appreciate that I am able to take live classes while being at home. The instructors each put their own spin on classes, so it’s great to try several to see what you like best. I'm not sure where to begin in my review of this company. Throughout my entire experience, from consultation to postpartum, I have been overwhelmingly satisfied. My husband was at basic training for the military while I was pregnant with our son, so I knew I would need a doula for in person support during the birth. I talked with Cynthya on the phone regarding my particular situation and she was so kind, understanding, and helpful. She recommended that I have a phone interview with Jeni, as she has extensive experience in being the primary support person for single birthing people. As soon as I talked with Jeni over the phone, I knew that she was who I wanted to accompany me through the remainder of my pregnancy and birth process. She communicated with me via text for any questions I had prenatally and was prompt in arrival for my induction. She has a very warm energy and is very knowledgeable about many things regarding birth and women's health. Her insights even helped me to coax my son into a head down position after finding that he was breech at 36 weeks. I had an unmedicated induction for both of my children. For my first birth, I felt scared, alone, and out of control. This birth experience was remarkably positive and I owe a solid portion of that outcome to Jeni's presence. In addition to impeccable professionalism and attentive care, I genuinely connected with her. Overall, she's one of my favorite humans that I've had the pleasure to interact with and she helped make the birth of my son a very positive and secure experience. I cannot recommend Happiest Doulas enough. From the moment I inquired about their services, the team was warm, communicative, and helpful. I had Jeni as my doula, and it’s hard to put into words just how incredible it was to have her be part of our birthing process. She helped us prepare and plan for our birthing experience, and answered all of our questions along the way. During our first phone call, I immediately felt at ease with Jeni. I can't recommend Happiest Doulas enough. My husband and I are first time parents and we took a 6 week birth class, hired a doula, and hired our birth photographer through them. Happiest Doulas helped us feel incredibly supported and empowered through the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. The class was very practical and gave us the tools we needed to craft our birth preferences and to know how to advocate for ourselves. As for the birth, I have been telling my friends and family that I truly don't believe I would have successfully delivered vaginally after FIVE hours of pushing had it not been for our doula Katie. She had me do several adjustments as the baby was coming down that helped put her in a better position. The doctor even said she only allowed me to keep pushing so long because she kept seeing such great progress. We attribute that success to Katie's well placed adjustments. Christina Hodgen was our birth photographer and took such wonderful photos that I've had people tell me it changed their opinions about birth photography. Both Katie and Christina checked in on me periodically for the first crucial weeks postpartum, and that meant the world to us. DigitalCrafts was an overall great experience for me. I had Joe as my instructor and he did a great job at breaking down these complex topics into easy to understand bits. Just be warned the pace is very fast and you can easily get bogged down with the material if you don't put time outside of class. For people trying to decide if DigitalCrafts immersive program is a good fit for them, ask yourself these questions: Can you commit all your energy to strictly coding for 4 months straight? Are you willing to put in time outside of class to learn even more beyond the scope of the course? If the answer is no to either of these questions then consider enrolling part-time. Going through the program successfully and being one of the strongest students in my cohort, I'd like to leave some imparting wisdom to people considering this course. Do the pre-work and ask a lot of questions!! You're paying too much money to not be giving this 200% of your effort. Understand that these are complex topics and you will not learn this material overnight. My recommendation if you're serious about this would be to look up the curriculum prior to enrolling and take a few months to get a feel for some (not all) of the technologies being used. This will put you miles ahead of other students and will give you a solid foundation for setting up your coding environment, the fundamentals of programming, and realistic expectations coming into the program. All in all DigitalCrafts has a great reputation for good reason, the tools to succeed are there you just need to be willing to put in the work.Zachary Antosko

DigitalCrafts' has exceeded my expectations, I couldn't have asked for a better coding bootcamp experience. As a true beginner, the amount of knowledge that I have aquired over the past 16 weeks is astounding. It has allowed me to secure a full-time job as a Software Developer before graduation. So far, 50% of my cohort has secured jobs before Demo Day! I chose DC due to their local, down-to-earth business model. The founders, Jake and Max, are very involved in the day to day. This lends a more personal feel to the program, and after 16 weeks, everyone here feels like family. In addition, the school is located at Atlanta Tech Village, which provides a great environment for learning and networking. In regards to the curriculum, the only thing that I didn't enjoy was Python. This is strictly due to a lack of interest in learning how to code in that language. However, the CS elective uses Python for coding algorithims, so the skill did end up being handy. I am front-end JavaScript focused, and this program provided more than enough opportunity to sharpen my skills. Choosing a software development program is a very involved decision, but the team at DC makes it easy. If you are looking for the best bang for your buck, and a program that will be highly involved, DigitalCrafts would be perfect for you. I attended the 16 week full time bootcamp with DigitalCrafts. I had a great experience and was very happy with my instructor Joe. He was very knowledgeable and provided great practical advice throughout the program. There were some subjects in the curriculum we didn’t seem to spend enough time on due to the fast pace, so in order to really learn the material that’s covered you have to be prepared to dedicate a lot of time outside of class to understand it. Not everyone was as dedicated to learning the material in general, so the wide range of student levels resulted in poor group project dynamics at times. They have a team dedicated to student success which I was happy about as they post jobs, set up career fairs, and have a career prep week, but in my opinion the career week should be replaced by more backend topics as career week. It has been an amazing first year here at Kickstart Martial Arts. My four year old has been highly impacted from the skills and values that are being taught. As a junior orange belt, I can see his overall and interpersonal growth as he sets goals for himself and executes to achieve them. That right leg kick and triple punch will take a bad guy out. Master Beaty is a great role model for our youth. He holds them accountable, acknowledges their effort, and rewards them appropriately. The students respect his leadership and kind yet strict spirit. It warms my heart how working as a team and family is stressed. On my sons last belt advancement I told him how proud I was of him. His response "I'm proud of you too mommy…you're here with me at every class." Had to hold back the tears as I'm watching him blossom into a little man. Oh and did I tell you about the opportunity to be in a tv production? Yes…he was able to participate in a background role in a karate class scene all thanks to being a part of Kickstart Martial Arts. I have three teen sons who have been training at KSMA since 2019. I brought them in to build strength and confidence, as well as to learn self-defense. I have watched them learn discipline, perseverance, appreciation for strong women leading and training with them, and self-respect and respect for others in a way that fits perfectly with what their father and I have been teaching them all their lives. I'm in Texas tryna hang with this group. Very cool, really hard if you're out of shape like me but also doable. The app is user friendly. I bought a tablet and workout using the tablet. One of the things I like is that I get alerts on my phone. The alerts are great because they kinda hold me accountable for checking in. If I can't jump in the live class there are several on-demand options. Check them out! Be prepared for the music christian family!!!! And don't call them asking to play the clean version. I have always been a gym rat. I LOVE THE GYM, so I’ve been a member of many gyms. Effect Fitness is hands down the best gym I’ve ever been to! #1 the MUSIC…. it is amazing! #2 The energy, now you will get cussed and fussed at to push yourself, however with the best intentions. Some of the nicest people EVER work there. #3 not only are the people who work there nice just about every person who goes there is super nice.
