Loved my college experience at UB. Quality academics, quality student life. There is great diversity which will help you with life after college. Food is good, not great, but what do you expect when you are cooking for the masses. Wish people cared more about the athletics. They have made north campus and the apartments surrounding it nice. The alumni base from what I can tell is Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, NYC, Chicago and DC. I also love the city of Buffalo. Downtown offers a lot to do for a mid size city.Joe Segrue

This place is like a palace. Massive, I visit it there on a trip. It took me about 3 hours just to walk around the whole school. Also visit the inside as a visitor. Its a amazing university that offers many course. Lot of friendly people. Adviser will always help student even though their is a lot of student. Amazing Lab as well. I used Code One for my ACLS recertification. My instructor Richard was so kind and encouraging. I felt very comfortable going through scenarios and performing skills. Richard felt like a part of a team during an actual code. I cannot say enough about how great he was. I'm giving a,0 because of the unprofessional front end person. I needed directions to a certain floor and was told I wasn't allowed to go up unless I called them first. Nice brain museum inside. I contacted a month in advance to secure entrance. The museum is actually the one room, but has a lot of very nice specimens if you are interested in that kind of thing. Also has an Alzheimers specimen, some thin seconds, some models, and some artwork. The labels are very informative.Brad Caldwell

Outstanding , Efficient and Effective. I enrolled and completed the EMT Refresher course. The company and its team members made it very conducive for me to prepare for my upcoming NY EMT exam: it has been over 12 years since I took my last NY EMT exam. The lecture classes were presented via zoom meetings which were interactive and supplemented with online video classes. The skills classes were conducted in person with highly experienced, friendly, and humble instructors: I had instructors who are a fireman, an instructor at the FDNY EMS academy, a publicly commended EMT who courageously rescued a law enforcement officer in severe traumatic distress – to name a few. Sean G., one of the instructors and coordinator, was always engaging in zoom meetings and accessible offline. Aura (RTI – Rescue Training Institute Division) has team members who are actively involved and engaged with the NY State Dept. of Health and other health agencies or organizations, relating to EMS protocols, hence the training is up to date with respect to NY EMS protocols. In summary, I would highly recommend RTI for EMS training as they are well organized to provide the training needed to pass the NY EMT exam as well as the real life and hands on skills to deliver proper and quality patient care.Richard Tom

Excellent staff and course. The hybrid model and the flexibility in what time of day you can choose to attend your practical skills lectures made this course perfect for my busy schedule. As with any medical course there is a lot of studying but the competent and attentive instructors are very helpful. They ensure your questions are addressed and that you have effectively learned the material or skill. Most if not all of the instructors are currently working in the field or have recent field experience in the NYC EMS system which extremely valuable. I took this Yeshiva accelerated EMT course organized by Dr. Levy this June. It was most definitely a great experience! B&H is a really good EMT training program! Our instructor Matthew was not only good at teaching the material but also incorporating his experience and knowledge into the lectures! Amazing program. Came here through a tough patch in my life in search for betterment and definitely got what I wanted. HUGE shout out to my instructor Karen. She is a Gem, and you only come across people like her a few times in your lifetime. She literally wants what’s best for her students and she literally sacrifices her own free time to give students everything they need to become great EMTs. She’ll answer your texts as soon as she can and she literally has your back. I had a family emergency during this course and so I had to miss a week unfortunately. Karen organized with the office and contacted me throughout to make sure I was up to part. Upon finishing the course I don’t think I could’ve done it without her. Whatever ECP is paying Karen they better double it. Never seen such a hardworking, and self less person as Karen! I don’t know when she has time for herself because she’s always so busy helping others. She’s a one of one instructor, first-class if you ask me. I’d personally call the office and request for them to give you a class that Karen would be teaching. She will give you the best educational experience. You’ll learn from the best and you’ll be a great EMT through her. Overall good program, but a substantially GREATER program with Karen as your lead instructor.Matthew Sukhnandan

Being at ECP has inspired me to pursue my dreams and help save many lives. I had the pleasure of having Karen Fiorello and a lot others as my instructors and they’re the best I could ask for. They’re there to help whenever you need it and as much as you need it. I had Karen as an instructor during my time at Emergency Care Programs. She truly wants each and every student to excel and know their stuff. She incorporates her humor into all of her lectures and while emphasizing the critical things you need to know while you’re out in the field. Aside from lectures, the other instructors that were present had high expertise in the skills aspect of the course. As a students it really helped because they answered every question and often times challenged you to answer it yourself. I wanted the grant for CDL A training. I was well prepared I have my CDL A permit and medical card. I was told by the counselor MaryJane Janora that she doesn't think I can handle the trucking industry, she lied and said there are no local trucking jobs, that she doesn't think I can handle over the road. I have never been put down so badly by a counselor that's supposed to help you. I thought highly of EOC but after that I don't anymore. Just sad because they have so many jobs in that industry that wanted to hire me. I will never go here again.Ubah Badan

Yes!!!! I passed the tasc! The best school to study. The people are very professional and friendly. They are also very positive and motivating. In the orientation the teacher were excellent. I went here and received my GED/HSE at the age of 31. I can't thank the teachers and staff at EOC enough for the help and care that got here. I went on to take the civil service exam and get a job working for The State of New York office of People With Developmental Disabilities and it was all possible because I had a GED/HSE. I took classes online for a year at ECC, and though I ran into minor issues during my first semester, during the break, and the beginning of the 2nd semester I ran in to numerous problems mainly with the higher ups, and some staff members and teachers. Of course, not all were poor, I have received great assistance from some of my teachers, and yet others wont respond to an email, or return a phone call. I had another issue in my first semester where I received an F in english which lowered my grade by almost an entire point, and I repeatedly contacted numerous staff, and the teacher, and nothing has been done about it and its been months. I suggest to greatly consider taking regular classes rather than online courses, because trying to resolve these problems has been very stressfulSenor Skeels

I enjoyed my studies, the teacher and students I had the pleasure to got to know. My daughter is enrolled in this college too. She is a very good student and I am very happy that she is following her dream, and I'm especially proud of her for how she has been handling her off campus work due to the Corona Lockdown. Their auto dealership based training program was an excellent 2 year opportunity for myself to have, the auto instructors are very informative and you actually learn from them physically. The vehicle tech training center is 1 mile separate from the South Campus of ECC. There was a couple flukes here and there when it came to assigning good and informative teachers for subjects such as physics and math, the problem however has been cured for the next generation of dealer tech students.Anonymous Anonymous

Yep, study on your own, understand it and own it. That’s what will determine if you’re cut out to be a medic. The EMT program is great. The medic program even more so. The instructors, professors and coordinators are there for you on a level I have never seen before. BLS, ALS rotations, scenarios, team-dynamic skills, clinical rotations, non-stop studying but wait there’s more! I’m just too tired to sleep (I’m just going to leave that how I wrote it) and that’s why I can’t write a better review. Tons of hands on skills practice. You get 4 hours of sleep a night if you’re lucky. 6 in the daytime. 10/10 worth it. Wonderful people to work with. I’ll update later.N G

The emt course prepares you just for the in class exams The state exam is a bunch of different scenarios that you have to understand and know what to do in those type of situations So study on your own (dont depend on the teachers) I didnt give thia course a high score do to lack of organization and a pessimistic atmosphereGrace

When it was built in 2001, it was the best and state of the art training facility. It encompasses fire service, police, and EMS training as well as classes for the fire service from MCC. A large amount of safety and training props. Very well maintained and has produced huge amounts of public safety personnel for the area.John Spaulding

You have a very difficult job. And I give you a lot of praise – normally. But the past 2 times you have been here, you were not up to professional standards. The 1st time you told me MULTIPLE times we were going to one hospital and you went to a different one. This time you were told the person was unable to stand on their own and you accused her of faking things and not cooperating. I have it on video. I also have your snotty side comments recorded.
