20 Best Emt Programs In Boston, MA (2022 Updated)

I took the CNA ‘Plus’ programme there back in October 2021. For $2395 we never got a clinical! And the facilities and equipment provided were unbelievable! One mannequin with its leg falling out and not even a proper night gown to keep it from being exposed! Sheets were dirty! Equipment faulty, and now we are STILL waiting to take our state licensure exams! If you’re taking the CNA programme, do not take the “plus part” it is a waste of money and time. State Street U is amazing. I attended 22 years ago and stopped by for the first time since then and I was amazed to find, updated buildings, a beautiful store, and a whole new feel. The professors and professionals were mostly great when I was there and though I don't attend, I had a chance to talk to administrators and they are still amazing. It is a fantastic education at a great price. If you are looking for a great community college, look no further than STCC. I work here as staff and find the working environment pretty good. My bosses have been good, my coworkers are dependable, and the students seem well behaved and conscientious (most of the time). The new buildings are nice, and the harbor walk is kind of amazing, and the beach is very chill. Good luck finding a place as tranquil anywhere else near the city. There is however one small con and one big con.. the small con is that there aren't that many places to eat and Sodexo runs all the food on campus, and their attempts at ethnic foods are sad. And the aforementioned big con is that there is no less than 3 buildings being built on this tight peninsula right now, and one huge building that was taken down over the year I've been here.. the construction is a mess. Though the new, finished buildings, like the science complex, are great. But if you can take the T somehow, as I do, this place is fantastic.Mikhail M. Nitko

UMASS Boston has a Beautiful campus on the waterfront! It is building two Brand new buildings as student housing with a dinning hall on the first floor, overlooking the Boston harbor with a million dollar view. UMASS Boston has a collaborative research program with Dana Farber Cancer Institute that students can be a part of. I love the new Integrated science center, incubating many New exciting NIH sponsored science research studies. It is an exciting time for UMASS Boston which has a new chancellor with generous scholarship. Chancellor merit scholarship will allow students to get world class education for free.Khuong Nguyen

I am a student here at UMB, the professors are great. The administration is bureaucratic and inefficient and lacks transparency on any basic level. Parking here is dependent upon arrival time. If you get here at 10:20 good luck finding a space in bayside, probably will have to park at the globe. Clinical placement sites for Nursing are good, labs are good, the school is constantly under construction and areas are always being blocked off. Parking will soon cost between 9-15 dollars a day according to emails from the uni. So it’s alright but the university is slowly draining the life of its commuters.Bill Whitney

Went here during 2013-2014 for my associates in marketing, its an alright college. Tho my only bad points I remember from this is the intern job finder guy was really rude and I had other people who told me they had him too and he was rude to them as well. another bad point was one of the class counselors who made me take an unnecessary course and told me if i didn't take it i wouldn't get my degree only to find out that they lied and i didn't need to take that course (no refunds of course). Last bad point I remember was one of the job counselors who said they would help me find a job pretty much ghosted me after our first meeting. They gave such a wonderful speech about how I was going to get a lot of help finding a job and that i wouldn't be disappointed. well disappointment city here i came first class. total ghosted and never heard from after the second week of trying to talk to them. gave up trying to finding a job threw here. otherwise its an alright place but seriously have enough parking places that people taking classes here and no teacher saved parking spots for teachers who arent even there and we can see are sitting empty for most if not the entire day. Edit to respond to the owner: Sorry but I will not be using your "job finding services". After the first guy Matt Coulter if i remember his name right, was really rude and pretty much did absolutely NOTHING to help me when I had a problem with my internship. Then the job helper person I got to help me find a full time job litterly GHOSTED me, IE: never returning any phone calls, emails and was never there even tho I told they were there on the days they would be in, on 3 separate occasions I wasted my time trying to meet someone who just happened to "not" be there. This place was the worst college to go to. The counselors don't really help you. They just sign you up for any course they can just so they can quickly boot you out the door not caring to help you find classes for your major or even find a major at all. For the Danvers campus in particular, it's a very snobby, predominately white(and prejudice), unfriendly atmosphere. A lot of them also flow over to the Lynn campus so they bring their snobby attitudes there. The students are worse than the instructors though the instructors can be pretty stuck up themselves. That's just the type of community Danvers is. You will find most of the people who have the edge at this school AND of course speak highly of it are the predominantly white population. I took a Bio 101 class once, and the instructor said in front of the class that blacks usually don't do well because they come from a poor background and lack proper education. It really is not a good place to get your education. Also, a lot of classes they have wont transfer to another college such as their Bio 101 course. You may not know that, but be sure the classes you take are transferable. Be sure to follow up on Rate My Professors website to know if you have a good instructor or not otherwise it's a hit or miss on having a great successful academic year or not. The staff can be very unfriendly on the phone or in person when you go to any of their offices. When you attend this school, you better have direction on what you want to do because No one there is really going to help you unless you have a really good instructor. I transferred out to a better community college and it was one of the best choices I've ever made.Maximum Achievement

I have done four semesters at NSCC in the Criminal Justice program over the past two years. North Shore was a decent place for me to start my college education, as I feel like going to a full-fedged State University for four years is a massive scam and waste of money. Professor Koshivas and D'Agastino were great and I learned a great deal in their classes. The Danvers campus is very clean and modern and much nicer than the Lynn campus, which gave me the feeling of being in a dirty train tunnel. My issues with the school pertain to its administration. I had multiple issues when enrolling for classes during each semester. It seemed like no matter what some piece of paperwork would be lost. Once they even lost proof of one of my scholarships, luckily I had copies. When it came time to cut the check for the semester there would always be an issue with the amount. Sometimes we overpaid, sometimes we underpaid, it was as though they never got the final amount right on the first try. It was frusturating to deal with. Another issue I had was with the WiFi in the school. I would be in the library during the period between classes on my laptop trying to get work done, only to find the connection suddenly stopped and I could no longer connect to the internet. Some days were worse than others with this, it was very unpredictable as to when it would work and when it would not. I won't end up graduating from North Shore as of right now as I'm going the military route instead. However, there are some very good professors at this school, just be prepared to deal with a mediocre administrative department if you decide that North Shore is for you.Millard Fillmore

Most of the bad reviews are coming from people who had ONE bad experience at like the book store or whatever or i gEt tHiEr aDs oN hUlu, though the veteran who shared his story probably has a decent case to make. Anyway I got a business degree from this college and if you actually try you can do really really well here, with great professors and programs like the honors program which gives high level learning at bottom dollar, and wonderful faculty like the folks at PTK, disability services, or the Fuller Center. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot to work on regarding graduation rates, the food, no one card system, etc but I couldn't give this place anything less than 5 stars because of all of the wonderful people who give 110% here, especially in those departments I mentioned. If you live in Worcester don't spend 30k a year to go to Assumption, you'll save so much money to come here. Seek opportunity, study for your tests, respect your professors and faculty, and most importantly, do your damn homework; I guarantee you'll be a success at this place if you do all of these things.Clark Kent

The qcc "police" are some of the most unqualified and unempathetic people in the area. There is no doubt they have no training, no expertise in law and zero idea of what they are doing. Maybe they should take some courses while they work their jobs at qcc in criminal justice. Maybe they can get a handle on their jobs. This is an awesome school and I am so disappointed that one teacher ruined it all for me. DO NOT take Professor Jane Joyce accounting classes or any classes from her. Harvard is one of the most prestigious universities in the World and every one wishes to visit it once in a life time. I had this chance to go there and walk around this beautiful institute. The good thing is that it is open for all and everyone could go around and visit. I saw many tourists there enjoying walking and taking photos. The good thing which I liked was that seeing people doing Yoga in the open space and in nature. I liked that and participated with them in yoga. It was nice walking around Harvard university . I would recommend either taking a guided tour or to download and follow the self guided tour so you understand the history behind the university. I loved the library and the story behind it. Unfortunately wasn’t able to go inside but would have loved to. I have to be honest about this. Good college when it comes to campus design, some Professor's teaching skills, and assistance for school related issues. Although, the school teaches bad ethics. For example, sports lack discipline. They will teach there athletes to run score boards up. Up by 20 in a basketball game with 3mins to go, they will shoot more three point shots than Steve Kerr. The most alarming thing is faculty will participate in Hazing students. I've watch this with my own two eyes. Call them out on it, and they will just deny it, at least my professor did. I am currently a student there, who help form a club, in order to help students get there basic needs to become a successful student. So just remember, good campus design, some Professors have good teaching styles, good for resources, but terrible place to learn good ethics. To me learning good ethics and applying them is one of the most important, or the most important thing to learn as a student. Would not be the first school I would want to send my child to. I do recommend this college as an affordable and easy starting point but be ready to encounter many hurdles in your way and a lot of incompetent staff. Make sure to double check everything you do here, especially the financial aid part. The professors are nice but it’s on you to actually learn the material, the professors rarely will make sure you learned anything. It’s a 3 star college. It’s unfortunate that I have to write this review but I am in hopes of MCPHS revising their admissions process for the Physician Assistant Program. I know that I was not the only student this year that was invited to interview and then closed out of an interview spot and placed on a waiting list. When I contacted MCPHS they told me that I may not get to interview after all as they had accidentally invited too many people to interview and did not have the resources to open up more interview dates even though acceptances are not on a rolling basis. How does a top tier medical university not have the resources to interview all the students they invited? By choosing to interview solely the people that happened to secure spots first, not only are they limiting the potential of their incoming class and proving that they only care about filling the spots for monetary reasons, but they are limiting the future of numerous successful students who worked hard to get an interview invitation. When I asked Jordan Hunt (admissions counselor) to make sense of this she was unable to provide a competent answer besides that the university messed up and the incoming students are the ones facing the repercussions. I’m not writing this for myself, but for the other students who were too timid to speak up or who had chosen this school as their top choice and then got screwed. I truly feel bad for some of the other incoming students who do not have other options and were relying on MCPHS. I am very disappointed. MCPHS either needs to change their interviewing process to rolling acceptances (interviewing the top tier students first and then going down the line) or they need to use this model but be willing to open up more dates in case of overflow. Side note: They informed me that students on the waiting list could be notified up to a day before an interview that a spot had opened up. Do they not take into consideration that everyone doesn’t live near Boston or works full-time? Extremely dissatisfied with this supposedly “top tier” medical college.Maddy Frank

Hey guys, good for all the students giving great remarks. I don't know if the school has paid you. I must say i was in the nursing program , ( the set that started 2005) the teachers were very bad. Everything was very difficult, out of 50 students that got into the nursing program only 15 students or even less that graduated from the program. Judy Murphy was very racist, no room for improvement. It was a very bad school. I will recommend another school any day any time as matter off fact the school needs to refund money back to students that paid for tuition. All they care about is your money and not the students. It was a very traumatic experience. It was one of the worst decision i have ever made in life to attend that college. I Owe up to 100,000 in debt with no nursing degree to show for. I thank the Almighty God i got my degree from another school with no stress or frustration. Guys open your eyes and look for another school. I just finished my second-year in PharmD program in MCPHS. I’m gonna transfer to Worcester to study the accelerated program. I have had great time in MCPHS so far. All professors are very nice and friendly. I haven’t met any professor who’s not willing to help student wholeheartedly. They always have office hours to answer students’ inquiries and to clarify the lecture in case the students don’t understand. There are absolutely no discrimination in MCPHS. It’s all about respect. Every MCP student is very welcoming so we have a very close-knit community in MCP. The program is well-designed and bearable. Sometime I feel overwhelmed but it’s not impossible to pass as many people say. You just need to put time and effort and you’ll be fine. In short, MCPHS is a great university for those who seriously pursuit a professional career in pharmacy and health sciences.Bill Nguyen

Spent my first two years of college here as a theatre major, and while I liked it at first my opinion quickly changed. PROS: The professors were easily the best part of my experience here. They quickly got to know who I am and what I'm like. Small campus makes it very easy to get around. As for everything else, I can't speak very highly. CONS: The PRICE. Even with all my scholarships and financial aid I still felt bad for my parents having to pay so much when I knew by my sophomore year that I wasn't going to be happy at this school. There's nothing to do on campus or in the surrounding area. I have spent many days in my room bored out of my mind. Classes are far too easy. I can't recall ever spending more than an hour or two total on any given assignment. I spent some classes paying zero attention whatsoever and still managed to pass everything. Even as a theatre major, I got cast in a single show during my time at Dean. Even so, it was just an ensemble part and I couldn't help but feel like I was only being cast out of pity. Part of this did help me realize that theatre wasn't what I truly wanted to do (but that's not on Dean, that's on me). I transferred after my sophomore year and I can honestly say it's the best decision I've ever made. Dean was okay my first year, but after the terrible sophomore year I had, I'd be happy to never step on that campus again.Emily L

Had a program that I was very interested in ), I explained my situation and then he responded I felt he was being rude but I just went with it then he made a remark basically saying that I won’t get accepted to any colleges because of the situation witch is untrue it’s not a big problem either ( I’ve been accepted to 5 to be exact ) and when I let him know that he replied very rudely and went on and on about it . Dean College gets some things right and other things wrong. The School of Continuing Studies program they offer is incredibly flexible and makes it easy for anyone working full time to go to school. With that said, the organization just isn't run well. The departments are not in communication with each other and there is a serious gap in knowledge among the academic advisors. If you can look beyond the terrible bureaucratic inefficiencies, it's a very accommodating school.Paul andrew

I attended the reunion this weekend as a husband. It was an overall pleasurable experience. The campus itself is very nice and meticulously maintained. Bathroom facilities adequate but nothing extraordinary. The BBQ on Saturday afternoon was nice because it was on campus in a very nice area. Music a bit loud for mid afternoon. Food, not great. I really liked the coozie they gave out. The class party Saturday night for the 10 year peeps was fascinating. It was inside a recreation center which seemed like an odd choice given the plethora of really nice areas on campus. The food selection there I thought was good but many in the group strongly disagreed with that sentiment. The tortellini was on point even tho it seemed to light a bit of a fire under my seat if you catch my drift. I was a little disappointed at all events that I had to pay 7$ for a bud light after already purchasing tickets. I will say we popped over to the 5 year reunion and wow, what a treat that event was. Overall it was a nice weekend, BC seemed to do my wife well as she is very smart. Her friends are also very cool. So I would recommend the college. We may send our kids there if my plan to hit the lottery multiple times comes to fruition. Mods for life.Joseph Moran

The first thing I will say about this school is that the student population is one of the rudest and meanest student populations in the country. Everyone I have met at this place is all about appearing cool and smart, and if you don't go to school here you are looked down upon. The dorms are absolutely terrible here and most buildings are made of concrete. Most state universities are the pride of the state but I don't think people view UMass that way. The school used to have friendly students and a low tuition/fees, now it is the exact opposite. When you go to Umass you are paying for a college experience, your not paying for a quality education. Public schools are a major part of the downfall of society, and this school is a perfect example of a school doing that. Every time I have been on this campus I am not acknowledged and if you don't conform to Umass standards you are an outsider. I understand education is important but the students/staff could at least show some respect to people outside their clique of Umass society. Umass has gotten better in some aspects but in many aspects it is still failing. It is not a open minded campus. I think most people who leave this school are so absorbed into a career mindset that they forget that life is about more than just a career and income. A major problem with universities especially UMass is people choose a very narrow path of education. People should be interested in many different fields of knowledge rather than what their major is. I've come across some great professors while being here however, administration has got to be one of the worst I've ever seen (aside from my student advisor Jeff Hogan is great). If you do chose this as your college and decide to study human service or psych stay far away from Steven foster not only is his class unorganized he never graded my final paper and left me to only get credit which dropped my GPA. If you want to enjoy anytime while a student at Cambridge college take all of Robert fladgers classes he's amazing. He makes you look forward to coming to class even when you don't feel like it. I learned a lot from Carole and Jennifer Peppi Carole has accomplished so many great things in the human service field it truley is amazing. Also I enjoyed taking one of my mandatory psych classes with professor Christifaro she was great super fun and made class interesting. I also think they offer a great array of ways to get and finish your education… Online night and weekend classes, most professors are very understanding when you have hit a difficult time in your personal life. When doing your capstone take Dawn zapata she is the sweetest and really puts effort into her students (even though she is not on campus she still makes you feel like you're her priority).Nadiya Alexis

Great teachers with a ton of current long term experience in relevant fields. They lend their knowledge to the courses and show relevance. This is a special place where you have to work hard to get a good grade. No slouching here. I'm lucky to have found it. These professors are out there now in the real world, not sitting in an office somewhere, retired and lecturing straight from a book… Great crew !!!! They are homophobic and Dr. Seth actually reprimanded me for coming out as "gay" during a gay marriage discussion in a Life development class. The work is so easy you can be dead and still get an "A". They look for more excuses to take money from you than the IRS. One Professor Judy Bralove MSW purposely told me she wasn't giving me a recommendation so I could go to another graduate school because she wanted to ruin my plans. I told her she was sick. As a homeless full-time Student, I have to say from the bottom of my heart I do not like this school. There is no support for the homeless student except for "student success" – who in fact told me I smelled. The administration lacks ethics and they will laugh in your face, lie to you, and / or give you false or misleading information. I wish I would have just went to a state school. I found Cambridge College through a program called Year Up Boston. I had earned credits at cambridge college through that program and figured I continue my education at said school. I made the wrong decision. Please, to the community of students who are either going through the same or will be because the numbers are increasing, please look at another option. I was very pleased with the course. Tim made the material very interesting by sharing experiences and welcomed our interaction and feedback. We talked about all aspects of an emergency situation, ( ambient danger, physical, psychological, emotional, legal, etc.) and how to correctly react to one. I feel that the knowledge and confidence gained from this course would greatly prepare a first responder in an emergency situation. This course was great. I’ve taken many BLS courses and this was my favorite. The instructor was thorough abs helpful and the information was relevant and up to date. I took Project Heartbeat’s 5 week EMT course last month. It was amazing! I can say that this was probably the most fulfilling academic experience I’ve had. As opposed to the standard community college EMT course, this program is very fast paced. I felt pretty conflicted between the two options at first. However, having completed the course, I’m confident this is the better option. Because of the fast paced learning and the teaching style, information is understood and retained, which creates an excellent medical provider. Instructors were all amazing. Instructors had a great, robust and diverse range of experiences in EMS and military. Instructors did a great job of explaining and preparing you for the actual realities of EMS. Staff all want to create competent EMT’s. There was never a time I didn’t feel like I had someone knowledgeable to ask questions. Plenty of hands-on time in addition to lectures, which is so important for EMT. Lots and lots of practice is available, with many volunteers and instructors offering to come in on their own time to provide extra practice. For our particular class they even allowed some of us to bring equipment home to practice with. Can’t thank the whole staff and all the volunteers enough. Great program, worth every cent. Sign up! Go in with a good attitude, work hard and knock out this semester course in 5 weeks! You won’t regret it when you finish.Connor D

I needed to get a BLS recertification ASAP and was really lucky to find Project Heartbeat. The class was $40 and then $20 for the book, which is actually the cheapest one I was able to find. The class was very small (there were 2 of us) which I prefer because I was able to receive a more personalized class. My instructor (Clarence) was very straightforward and made sure he helped us understand the material before moving on. He was open to questions and was very approachable. During the class, we did a couple exercises/scenarios with adults, children, and infants. The videos and lectures were easy to understand and follow. Overall, the class was very fun and will definitely come back for other classes and definitely for my recerts! (Also another plus is they have coffee/tea and snacks!)Christina Lee

I recently took the 5-week EMT program at Project Heartbeat and I had a great experience. Steve, Eric, Brian and everyone else who came through to help our class were amazing! Thank you for everything! They worked together to ensure that we all learned what it means to be EMTs and how to be a good one. All of them take their time to help you if you have any questions or are stuck on something and will do everything they can to make you good providers. The instructors will push you to be independent and will hold you accountable, but be confident and everything will work out. The 5-week program is fast-paced and definitely difficult with all of the new information, but in the end (if you put in the effort and trust them) the process will be rewarding.Hannah

Super late on my review. I took the 5-week EMT course In November. They were great on lecturing and teaching the material I could tell that a lot of them are passionate about teaching. However, the disconnect with me was from them wanting to be like the “Military.” Being a “Military Veteran” myself I found some of these tactics to be unnecessary for this course. They put too much focus on trying to instill discipline, order, and demanding respect even though they already had that lol. I kind of found it insulting for civilians who did not have to endure the things that I had to endure while serving to even be allowed to do this. There was only one person I know of who served which was Brian. I am not sure what Basic training handbook or video they watched to do this but, it was unnecessary as far as what I call “verbal abuse” and made the environment negative at times. The teamwork and the ethics part of it sure that’s fine but a lot of the stuff verbally unnecessary. Wasn’t looking for anyone to hold my hand and baby me thorough the process it’s just common sense to speak to everyone with respect. This would be ok in fire because they have actual chiefs and officers with rank but, like come on now everyone was an emt. I would advise anyone with any PTSD or struggling with mental health issues to think twice before coming here. If you are someone who can handle the tactics, they do then I would recommend yes go for it being that the instructing part was very good. All in all, I graduated the program and scored the highest on our written final and learned a lot in the program. Andre was one of the best instructors. He definitely did everything he could to help everyone. This review wasn’t made to speak negatively about anyone but, more to shine light for people who struggle with other things. While researching careers, to compliment my poker schedule, I was looking for something community service oriented, with schedule flexibility and physical. Thankfully I discovered firefighting! Step 1 was to become an EMT so I googled accelerated EMT programs and decided on Project Heartbeat(5 weeks). This is HANDS DOWN a 5 star top of the line course! For my class, there were 3 main instructors: Rick(Lecture), Eric(Testing) and Brian(Skills). Rick is incredibly knowledgeable, charismatic and the most genuinely caring teacher I've ever had. Eric might seem like a big Korean badass but he's a really nice guy and pushed me to be better every week. Assistant Brian would stay late after classes or come early before class to ensure every student who wasn't confident in their skills would get extra help. Rick, Eric, and Brian created an immersive learning environment where the entire class bonded and quickly became a family. I wouldn't have been able to get such a great experience anywhere else. I was recommended this EMT program through a friend and was super hesitant since its a 5 week program, normally taught during a 16 week period. I’ve never taken such an accelerated course which made me a little anxious. However the instruction for this course was something very different than what I would have expected and in a good way! You’ll have to see for yourself. I’m more of a visual learner and I need material simplified (especially from a 1500 page book! sheesh!) so instructors Brian and Hidoink where phenomenal during lectures! They both share a lot of real world stories to explain topics which help retain info. They will help you succeed as long as you put in the work and don’t quit. Never quit! Most of the instructors also offered to give up their days off to tutor which was super nice of them, take advantage of that if they offer. Put in the work and you’ll succeed. Also shout out to Taylor, Gino, Jeff, Andres and all the others, y’all were amazing 12/10 experience that I will never forget. See y’all out there!Justin Da San Martino

I took Beacon by Code One BLS recertification class at their shrewsbury location. Although the online potion of the class was great, the skills assessment was not. To start, there we’re audio issues with the Instructor for the first 5-10 minutes.This is good to know because you have 30 min or less to complete. This course involves a feedback manikin and if you not used to a high tech feedback manikin, you may have trouble. At one point i misunderstood a computer prompt and Carlo, the instructor raised his voice saying “No,No”. I’m an RN, with a maternity background. I have done many NRP/NALS, PALS,ACLS, BLS and STABLE recertifications in hospital and community settings. No instructor ever raised their voice to me. When i called to ask for a refund. I was given the supervisor, although she was kind, she kept asking if i wanted to redo the skills assessment again. I said i just wanted my money back. I ended up ending the call in frustration. I will be telling friends,family, social media contacts and neighbors who are healthcare professionals to not use Beacon by Code One. I had the pleasure of taking my ACLS skills session at Code One in Worcester with Richard M. as the instructor. I received email prior to the class that included a video on what to expect in the skills session and easy to follow instructions to get to the building/classroom. The email even included a picture of the front of the building so I knew what to look for when driving. Once I arrived to the classroom we were greeted by the smiling face of the virtual instructor Richard who was so knowledgeable. He explained the topics clearly and made some of the more difficult sessions easy to understand. I appreciated the little jokes that helped make the environment light and fun. The technology was top of the line and really helped to put the education from the online portion into practical use. I feel that because if this training I am better prepared to provide ACLS. I had an excellent experience renewing my BLS at Code 1. I would highly recommend this company. I did part of my renewal on-line and the skills portion at one of their offices, by myself, with the instructor on screen virtually. I was a little nervous as I had not done it this way before, but it worked out great! I was able to get feedback through the computer about the quality and depth of compressions and respirations. Everyone I spoke to was caring and a pleasure to deal with. My email regarding a question I had was answered about 10 minutes later the night before my skills session. On my first day of class, I don’t know anything about EMS. Over time, as I worked with all the instructors, I can easily say that this academy is one of, if not the best, for rookies in the EMS field. Absolutely useless staff Went there for the first time Two guys on the front desk. When I politely asked them I wanted to look for a job. The guy just said “ you can just use the computer here” no further instructions. I was shocked. If people can search jobs online they can search on their own computer or in a library. I asked him again “ are all masshire brunches works like this one ?” He said “ I don’t know about other ones “ Speechless I went to their computer and tried to See what it is. Basically the same thing as any job search engines if not worse. And on the page they ask you to log in with job seeker id which the front desk guy felt too lazy to explain to me well. I sit in front of the computer for fifteen minutes just curious to see if the lazy front desk guy actually do anything here. Some elderly lady asked him some technical questions about the website he went there for a while trying to figure out and ended up saying “ sorry I can’t help out “ I wonder if the employee there are just volunteering there or get paid too little to care. Don’t waste your time on this masshire you might as well sit at home using your own computer or go to a library. Or go find some better facilities with staff who actually care to help you out.马静宜

They don't know their own policies and are unreliable: They failed to fully fill out a form and I lost three weeks of benefits as a result. I caught the mistake and the problem is now resolved, but those three weeks are still being withheld. MassHire told me that the payments would be paid out at the end of the eligible period, but that isn't true. I have to appear at a hearing in order to get the money that I lost because of MassHire's mistake.Daniel Edmonds

This place is fantastic. These people genuinely wish to help you do your best with your resume, your job interview, and getting the best job you can. Its all free. However, you have to be willing to listen and learn. You can't learn if you don't utilize the classes they have.
