I am a current student @ Centura College. Centura has given me the opportunity to enroll into there College 2/20 and I'm proud to say I will be graduating 1/21! The Ma instructors are wonderful and Coordinator and head of education is awesome and admissions is also wonderful!! Centura is a college that is there for you. I suggest that if you looking for a Home and not just a College Centura is the place to look into. Ms Lisa is the first to speak to you about classes she is straight forward. At Centura your just not just a number your a person and Centura wants what's best for you.Tamasha Porter

This place is a scam, if your a veteran DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT enroll at this campus or Centura period. They took 2 yrs of credits off my G.I Bill for 1 year of schooling. And then did something shady as far as pulling my benefits. I ve been here a month and still haven't received my BAH or financial aid, but yet they getting paid from the government because they pulled my benefits.Ty

I attended the LPN Course for a semester until I had to stop due to a disability. However, everyone was very nice and helpful. From helping me with financial aid to teachers helping me keep my GPA at a 4.0 and nominating me for the Alpha Betta Kappa honor society. They want you to do you very best. Great schoolTeresa Mabe

Accelerated dental Has been the best choice I’ve made it 2022. I’ve learned so much from this course and I'm grateful that I’ve received such quality hands-on training to prepare me for the Dental Field. I would highly recommend this program to anyone interested in Dental assisting!Kamryn Martin

My short stay at VCU was horrible I wanted to kill myself at least twice the staff is disrespectful not all obviously but most of the ones I encounter I was so stressed out while I attended here. I love this school! It's an urban University, shades of GW up in DC. But it's very cool. Campus is beautiful, space for walking, skateboarding, doing your own thing. I personally love the library, but there are places to eat nearby, and music. The kids are nice, and aware, and accepting. Go there and chill awhile!Bex Bertok

I enjoyed almost every aspect of my experience at this school. From the professor to the student interactions. However, the Dean of Administration at the Parham Road Campus single handedly made me choose a different college after only two encounters. First, I went to him and told him that one of the classes I was not a lecture(which is how I learn) and that I would need to change it to a lecture. He responded by saying, 'that would crate too much work for us so you can just retake it if you don't pass it this time'. The second time we spoke, I informed him that I had double booked a class with two different teachers and after speaking with the teachers, and the Administrations Office found that I had not yet been dropped form the class. Also, I was informed that all the Dean of Administration needed to do was to make a phone call to the 'drop class' dept. and I would be able to continue taking the course. When I shared this information with him he would not make a simple phone call. He told me that I needed to go back to the two teachers and have them e-mail him saying that I did all my homework thus far, give him copies of the homework, and attendance to prove I was at one of the classes. After he received these, I would have to come to his office and fill out paperwork of what I was doing. Lastly, he told me that he was going on vacation starting at 4pm that day and if I didn't get this all to him by then it would be 'to late' for him to do anything by the time he returned. I then told him, 'for someone who doesn't want to do extra work you're making me jump through hoops when all you have to do is make a phone call'. To which he just smiled. I then left for fear I would lose my professionalism.Aric Brandon

Horrible, horrible, horrible! I can NOT believe how they have handled financial aid. Aid was submitted back in August and now I’m being told the funds will not be refunded to me until late October early November. It’s ridiculous how they have handled the entire thing! When I confronted the financial aid department that I needed it to pay for my tuition all they told me to do was pay the tuition and I’d be reimbursed. If I remember correctly that’s the point of financial aid! So you DONT have to pay it all up front. I will be transferring out at the end of next semester. They clearly are not scholars that are worth $2,800 a semester.Jacob Wagner

This school can be better on so many levels in comparison to other Reynolds campuses and to other community colleges in the state. I feel horrible writing this, as this is a place where I learn, but the truth needed to be shared before others find the faults of this school as I did. Firstly, the kitchen doesn't clean as much as they say (especially the deep fryer). Two, the conditions of some of the campus's features are either are in a deteriorating states, or sometimes they don't work at all. Lastly, about 45% of the staff are helpful and are worth being taught by. So I hope this is helpful for you readers.Grayson Palmore

IF THEY TELL YOU TO BE THERE AT 6:30am: 1. You WILL be standing outside for an hour. Dress accordingly. 2. They only take a certain amount of walk ins a day, based on their schedule. First come, first serve. Why in the heck they aren’t 100% clear about these 2 things are beyond me. We live in a world where you’re supposed to be super sensitive to everyone about anything, but you can leave people outside for an hour at 35 degrees, possibly to be turned away? RIDICULOUS. That said, they did fix my wife’s problem, but having a tooth ache is bad enough without being treated like a street bum looking for a handout.J S

I been calling them since last July to make appointments, but they keep telling me you missed the exact day to make appointment. I called on Saturday which was first day of October to make appointments, but there office was closed. Now, the agent who I talked to told me :that I missed again because I suppose to call on the first day of month which was Saturday .however, the office was closed on Saturday. today is the third day of month, Monday. They really don’t want to help. I really had bad experience with making appointments. Hopefully they appoint some logical people on customer service.tamana radmanish

A living nightmare , do not let them do bone removal , first and foremost if you want the dental work done right, go to an established dentist , I am fighting a sinus infection under and over my right eye from bone removal that they did because they destroyed the bone doing a unsupervised removal, the supervising dentist never came in the room in 2 and half hours of bone removal, DO NOT GO THERE , PERIOD !! uncomdjtrock tree

I wish I could give a 10 star rating! Take my word for it when I tell you the professionalism of the staff here deserves to be commended. I was referred to a Resident named Dr. Jake DeGracie for a root canal that I have been putting off for a long while. I have severe dental anxiety and just the thought of going makes me squirm. As soon as I walk in I am greeted by a very kind woman who is extremely helpful, throughout my first visit she guided me through the process on the phone before coming in and also as I arrived. During my dental procedure, she even brought me a nice blanket to keep me comfortable. That was so kind and thoughtful. Regarding the dentist, Dr. DeGracie and his assistant who I wish I remembered his name… both very attentive and recognized my uncertainty about the procedure as they informed me of every step to come and periodically double checked how I was doing. I just got home from my follow up apt where they added a filling where they provided the same wonderful treatment as last time. This goes to show they are consistent with their kind, gentle mannerisms. I told the woman at the front desk I wish I had another apt to come to because I will really miss them, it will be difficult to find another dentist like him. Fantastic practice with talented professionals. I have been a patient here since my graduate school days at VCU. During my last two visits, Dr. Abdulmajeed has been my dentist. One of the best dentist I have ever seen. He is very friendly, patient, and educates you as he performs treatment. He even sets the right expectations on timing of procedures and is very careful in his approach when it comes to ensuring your are comfortable. With each visit, he made it his focus to ensure that I did not endure too much pain during the process. Dr. Abdulmajeed is a great asset to the VCU community. Thanks again.Marc Allen
