Warwick dentistry is a top rate practice. Both Joyce and Jack are honest, kind, and caring people who are very talented at what they do. They always make sure I understand my options and that I am comfortable during any procedure. All the assistants are all very kind. In all my visits I come away feeling I am lucky and in good hands. My kids also get their dental work done here and they say they are “perfect”. I have to agree! John was amazing! Coming from a dentist office phobic, that says a lot. My last dentist over a year ago I went to have an extraction that was infected and she couldn't get me numb and I felt almost everything that was going on. It hurt to the point I obviously turned white as a ghost and almost passed out. It scared me to go back to the dentist. My dentist retired after 28 years, I chose Warwick Dental based on google reviews and that they might be part of the Warwick family I know. First, they are very comprehensive in general procedures like X-Rays, and teeth cleaning / exams. I was extremely pleased with Dr. Rob and his staff. Kayla and Emily were gentile and thorough in their work. I am glad I have UPMC Dental insurance to prevent any surprise charges. From the moment I walked in for a consult for my tooth problem, I felt a negative vibe. I talked to them on the phone before confirming my first appointment, asking some questions. When I got there I found out they lied, from what they told me. Then I had to wait a very long time to see the dentist after taking x-rays. The decor made me nervous, felt like I was in the middle of a forest having dental work done. I had to repeat my questions to the office person, assistant and the dentist several times, for them to give me an answer, because they mis-understood what I was asking. Although it looks clean, staff seems friendly & have state-if-the art equipment, don't be fooled. If they changed some things to my satisfaction, I would consider going back. 1st time patient: From the moment I walked in until I left, it was the best dental experience I’ve ever had. I have issues with anxiety about the dentist. Sara was the best dental hygienist I have had in 15 years. She was thorough, kind and explained my treatment and condition in layman’s terms. Dr. Mara is as pleasant and professional as her mom, Dr. Kathy was before her retirement. She is helpful and believable when she addresses me. I'm extremely happy with the care I've been given thus far at Omni Dental. I moved to Pittsburgh not long ago and had really bad experiences with two other dental offices in the area, then the virus lockdowns happened and I foolishly did not get my teeth checked out when I knew I was having some issues. The problem became worse and essentially culminated into a dental emergency with really severe pain. They found me an opening on the same day and Dr. Justin Hanlon clearly explained what was going on and answered all my questions. Long story short I needed a root canal and a tooth extraction (and Ill eventually get a permanent bridge). The procedures went smoothly and were essentially pain free. The doctor and assistant were both very personable and at no time did I feel judged for being an idiot and letting my tooth go bad; a mistake I will not make again. The temporary bridge fits extremely well and there is no pain even after the anesthetic wore off. I also know Dr. Hanlon did a lot of work in one appointment which means a lot to me because the past dental practice I tried would take (and charge for) many xrays and seemed to schedule multiple appointments while never being clear on what they were doing while the bill kept creeping up. At Ommi I feel like I know what is being done and what to expect going forward. The office and bathroom were also very clean and well appointed. For the time being I feel I've found a long term Dentist in the area that is skilled and trustworthy. I'm really appreciative to Dr. Hanlon and the team for all the help they've given me so far. It was far easier to get an appointment here than at any of the other highly rated dentists I was looking at in the area. They started off by giving me an appointment a month out (way better than anyone else could offer) then followed up by giving me one of the canceled slots a few days later. I got in just a week-ish after initial scheduling, which was maybe a bit lucky but nevertheless astounding after my dental search started off so poorly. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. I felt very welcome from the moment I stepped into the door. The hygienist was very patient and careful. He gave me lots of really detailed advice on how to take the absolute best care of my teeth, and the dentist was also quite friendly and took the time to address my concerns about orthodontics. I have dentist anxiety from a bad experience when I was a child and avoid going at all costs. After having multiple bad experiences over the years, I read about this office and decided to give it a chance. After my first visit at Omni Dental in Shadyside last year, this is the only place I will go from now on. The office is beautiful and modern and all of the staff is welcoming and kind. Dr. Hanlon is the first dentist I have seen since I was younger who has not made me cry. He is very understanding and puts up with all of my questions, worries, and cavities! It is strange to say that a trip to the dentist was enjoyable, but that's my story. From start to finish, everyone was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and prompt. The first surprise was when I was called into the patient room within minutes of my scheduled appointment. The practice is quite busy, but is apparently very well run. My hygienist Lori (I appologize for spelling errors) couldn't have been nicer. The doctor followed up with me after my thorough exam and explained the path forward. Even the billing was a pleasant surprise, though I'm not sure I should have said that out loud. I'm looking forward to getting my smile back. I was in an accident and had to get a handful of teeth crowned (at another office). However, things didn't feel quite right, and so I sought out Dr. Marty. Dr. Marty was wonderful. He thoroughly examined my teeth, patiently explained what he could do, and then recrowned my teeth. He did a great job: my bite feels normal again, my gums do not bleed upon flossing/brushing, and my crowned teeth look harmonious with the rest of my teeth. In addition to the great dental care, Linda, the practice manager, runs the office with aplomb. She's gracious when I need to reschedule an appointment, forthright when I inquire as to the cost of a visit/procedure. Yes, their rates are on the higher end, but frankly it's more affordable to go to Dr. Marty once and have him make/fit a crown that lasts than it is to go to another place, have the dentist make a crown that looks fake and fits poorly, and then have to have it redone soon after. I was so impressed with Dr. Marty and Linda that I go to them now twice a year for my general dental needs (dental exam, cleaning), too.Lee C

To say that Dr. Supowitz is an amazing dentist is an understatement! Certainly, Dr. Supowitz is such a perfectionist, as am I. He is so dedicated to his patients and his practice. I came to Dr. Supowitz with a very, very complex case. I did not want to smile because of how horrible my restoration looked and was told that “it was the best that they could do”. Needless to say, I have such anxiety about going to the dentist. Dr. Supowitz treated me with such respect and was so caring about my situation. He told me that we would get through this together. For once, I do not dread going to the dentist! As soon as he took my old restoration off, and placed the new temporary on I felt like a completely different person! I actually like smiling again! It is very apparent that he loves what he does and truly cares about his patients! Hi. I have been going to Dr. Marty Supowitz for my dental care for 35 years! That should tell you something right there, in and of itself. Clearly, I would not have continued to go to Dr. Marty were I not satisfied with the attention and care any and every patient deserves. Dr. Supowitz is forthright and honest when mapping out a plan for your dental well being: never pushing unnecessary procedures. He is incredibly thorough, paying close attention to all of the necessary details in his work. But it goes beyond his acumen and skill. He truly CARES about his patients. He is totally invested in his patient's well being. It's evident not only with him, but his entire staff. At least in my opinion, visits to his office are absolutely pleasant experiences. I would not recommend this dental practice to anyone, even with all the incentives they offer. Dr. Zotis is a bit trigger-happy when it comes to identifying cavities and I don't think she does a good job filling them based on accounts from a co-worker who has had ongoing issues with the few cavities she had done by Dr. Zotis. I went once to have a cleaning done after my dental insurance changed and my preferred dentist was not in network. I hadn't had a cavity in years, but Dr. Zotis found 1-2 cavities that she wanted to fill. At the time, my husband and a co-worker had just visited Dr. Zotis for a cleaning and she identified cavities for them as well. I was skeptical of the cavities that Dr. Zotis found and my co-worker was having a TON of issues with the cavities that she filled, so I waited the following year when my dental plan changed and went back to my old dentist, who found ZERO cavities! While I don't trust Dr. Zotis as a professional dentist, I will say I thought the hygienist did a good job with the cleaning itself.Amanda Sourbeer

I have been a patient of Sixth Street Dental for six years now, and the staff is fantastic! When I first starting seeking treatment, I had some bad issues with gum disease, and thanks to this office, my gums are in great shape and healthy again! I would highly recommend Sixth Street to everyone. Chrissy is a wonderful hygienist who always remembers me and makes me feel comfortable. Dr. Zotis is personable and professional, and the facility is extremely clean as well. Really surprised by some of the negative reviews here, but I've been going to this dentist for years (since 2007 when I got braces). I had braces through them, bridge work, fillings, root canals. All of my teeth look as if they are mine (which points to the quality work). I think the work they do at Sixth Street Dental is great. Dr. Zotis always makes sure I have a pain free environment which is very important with dental work. I've been to other dentists who did not care if I was in pain. Been in pain for days because he hit a root during a filling and tried to play it off, as soon as the numbing went away i could feel it. Was told he would not see me again because he was uncomfortable working on that tooth (what kind of dentist is this?!), this was days after calling to tell them something was wrong with the filling and that i was in extreme pain, which they told me to take Tylenol for and that id be seen in 4 days (which they cancelled last min). I was having an issue with my tooth, but I kept putting off going to the dentist. I finally decided to see Dr. Young, and I’m so glad I did! He was very professional, accommodating, and caring. Not only did he fix the tooth I was having an issue with, but he also took care of another one that could have potentially caused me issues. Dr. Gruendel has been my dentist for close to 20 years now. He and his entire staff is just amazing, especially his assistant Amy Porter. She is very polite and attentive. I've always had the best experience whether I go in a for a regular cleaning or a dental procedure. This has less to do with this specific office but I cannot find where to submit feedback on Aspen as a whole. I also tried submitting this on the Aspen website but what a surprise – when you hit Submit you get an error code. I started experiencing tooth pain about a week ago. I tried scheduling online but Aspen's site does not make it clear that scheduling is for new customers only. Also – why is this? You are allowed to be a new customer being seen for anything from a cleaning to tooth pain but if you're an existing customer, 'forget you'? At any rate, I called the Robinson office at 1pm on a Wednesday and got their machine. I called another 2 times in the next hour and a half and reached the machine each time, and each time the two repetitive messages confirmed I was calling within business hours. I called the emergency line and was basically told the line is for emergencies only – insinuating that my pain did not qualify. I called the corporate line and chose the new customer option so I could reach someone, and I explained to them what was going on. They made an attempt and also couldn't reach the office. They said they would send an e-mail on my behalf and suggested I keep calling. This was about 2:30pm. It's now 11am the next day and I haven't received a call back from the office. This morning I called another Aspen location and left a message, explaining I see online they have an opening and I'd like to be seen for my tooth pain. They called me back and explained that even just these openings ANYONE can view are strictly for new customers. I'm hoping whoever is reading this has enough empathy to understand that when you're in pain and have been giving money to a company, it's disheartening to see that you are suddenly not a priority. New customers going in for a cleaning come before existing customers who are experiencing pain; that's what I'm being told. While this emergency situation has been upsetting, I will still be going to Aspen Dental Robinson for my routine check-ups. The staff is friendly and professional. I may search for a back-up dentist that I can reach for emergencies.Andi B

This was the best dental experience I've had. Dr. Cahall and the staff were so professional but yet personable. Mark took care of our applications and follow up appointments. He cheered with us when I SCREAMED then cried when I FINALLY after 7 years was able to have my surgery. I'm a lot to handle but he did it with such grace. I have a lot of anxiety going to the dentist because I'm always judged on my horrible teeth. But not them they did everything they could to get me the correct treatment and financing I needed. They have fast scheduling as well. You don't have to wait weeks or months in order to get appointments. They work around you instead of patients working around weird dentist hours. I had my wisdom tooth break 8 days before my wedding and I called 16 different dentists out here to try and find anyone that could get me in to have it extracted the same day and Aspen Dental was the only place that didn’t immediately say no! They got me an appointment 3 hours later, took plenty of x-rays, and the dentist took a look at the tooth and determined they would be able to extract it right then and there. She was able to extract the wisdom tooth incredibly fast and without a huge struggle like I had when I had 2 other ones removed elsewhere, and when it was all said and done it was insanely cheap after my insurance! I was on vacation in Pittsburgh and, a piece of tooth came out while I was flossing. After some online research I found Select Dental in Millvale and I decided to give them a call. Not only I was able to book an appointment immediately and to be seen by Dr. Liao within just a business day, I was also extremely pleased by the kindness and professionalism of the Doctor and the staff. During the procedure, unfortunately my broken tooth kept fracturing requiring extra time and treatment. Nonetheless, Dr. Liao was able to quickly apply a temporary crown and avoid extra damage. A week or so later I received a call from Diana the Office Manager saying that my definitive crown was completed and was waiting for me. I recommend Select Dental with no hesitation, my problem was fully resolved, my trip did not suffer any change of plan and I will not even have to go see my dentist back in my hometown to complete the procedure.Luigi Bartolini

Select Dental is nothing less than amazing. I went in for a cleaning and Erin, the hygienist, was friendly, efficient, and welcoming. She made me feel very comfortable and relaxed throughout my entire cleaning. I also had to get my first filling and chose to go back to Select Dental because of how great the experience with my cleaning was. Although i was really nervous about the filling and did not know what to expect, Shannon and Dr. Liao made me feel incredibly well cared for, kept me informed on all steps they were taking, and answered all of my questions. I received top notch customer service from the office manager to the dental tech and the doctor at Select Dental! I had not been to the dentist since 2017 and needed some major dental work done on my top teeth. I let the Dentist know I did not want to get dentures and she managed to give me a bridge that replaced many of my missing teeth but also realigned my bite. The outcome is great! The entire team is very professional and I believe the doctor is a perfectionist so I got more than my money’s worth! Unfortunately I was employed at this place. I had a crown prep done while I was working there and was told by the Dr that the lab would need my appliance for 1 day to finish my crown. Shortly after I got a new job. Dropped my appliance off and expected to pick it up in 2 days at the most. But to my surprise 1 week later it is still not back. I call the lab and they tell me I could of had it back in 2 days but the Dr asked for 2 weeks .. So I'm not sure why they were being spiteful… unprofessional..what ever you want to call it . So I go in to have my crown inserted ..all of a sudden the price has gone from $100 to over $300 …again unprofessional… I wasn't asked if I wanted to look at the crown…so when I left I looked at it and it is as white as a piece of paper and doesn't even look like a tooth!!! I have been seeing Dr. Bonsteel at Chestnut Hills for over ten years. He is caring, meticulous, and highly skilled. I had been dealing with a painful molar for 2 weeks because i had just gotten new insurance and had to find a new dentist. I walked into Dr. Cheppas office to see if they were taking new patients and was told the first appointment would be November 2nd. I asked if they had anything earlier for an emergency or could put me on a wait list and the dental assistant was actually able to fit me in right then. They were so kind. Turned out i had a huge cavity and needed a root canal. They were able to clean out the majority of the tooth and give me a temp filling. Dr. Cheppa gave me a referral to the pitt dental school for the root canal to help me save some money. They were very kind and Dr. Cheppa did a great job and now im on my way to getting my tooth fixed and getting the help i need. Im honestly blown away.Nathan bacon

Dr. Cheppa and his staff were amazing, especially his assistant Valerie. They exceeded my expectations by far & I am highly satisfied with the ending results. For the first time in years, I’ve found a dentist that not only am I comfortable with.. he also doesn’t frighten the life out of me like some Pittsburgh dentists are known to do! Used to be 5 stars, but there seems to have been a mass exodus of the good staff in the last year, and now everything is off. Hygienist was rushed. What used to always take 30min+, was only about 10. I question how thorough it was, although I lack the knowledge to actually assess the results. All I know is that my gums are bleeding from being so quickly/roughly scraped at. They incorrectly assumed that my insurance didn't cover things. They got a new system and lost all of their patient data, including appointments, and appear to be waiting for everyone to come in FOR their appointment to tell them that they need to reschedule… Rather than proactively contacting patients and admitting that they don't have appointment info anymore. They just went ahead and scheduled other people instead. It was a major struggle with apologizing to my workplace and juggling childcare to accommodate this. I heard other people dealing with this too, one who was blind and needed special accommodation to get there. Husband and I are going to see how his next appointment goes before making a decision on staying, but it doesn't look promising. Really unfortunate as we have been with them for several years now.K G

I’m writing this review as someone who is fearful of dental visits following a bad experience with a dentist who wanted me to get an unnecessary root canal. My experience at Chestnut hills squirrel hill was wonderful. The staff are non judgmental, kind, and compassionate. I had Keisha as my tech, Abby for my cleaning, and Dr Dargan. If you’re a new patient, keep in mind that the dentist examination/X-rays are completed first before you schedule your cleaning. But they were able to fit me in for the cleaning the same day, just an hour later. I did not pay anything out of pocket for these first visits (dentist exam and cleaning) with insurance. I do have to pay a co-pay to get some cavities taken care of. But all in all, it was a very positive experience. I didn’t feel rushed at all and only one other person was in the waiting room when I was there. They are also very covid conscious, which I appreciated. This was my first visit to Chestnut Hills Squirrel Hill. It technically counted as two back-to-back appointments: I had x-rays taken and was seen by a dentist (appointment 1), and then I had a tooth cleaning (appointment 2). I would agree with what I read in some other reviews that the tooth cleaning was surprisingly quick and seemed to have fewer steps than what I remember from other dental offices, but I didn't mind. What especially impressed me were the protections against contagious diseases. For example, I could tell that air ventilation was a big priority. The HVAC system seemed to be running at full blast to bring fresh air into all the rooms all the time. That's exactly how it should be, and I was so glad to see that someone who knows what they're doing is in charge of those protections. As of October 2022, all staff were also masked, including front desk staff, and patients are required to wear masks in the waiting room.Bill Price

Switching to this school was the best decision I've made for myself! PCI is so inviting, from the teachers you get close with, to the fun random days that make us enjoy coming to class, all while learning up close and personal with my desired career, you get the most wonderful experience. I'm aware not everything is perfect but this place really makes you feel comfortable and confident with whatever you do. I'm personally part of the Vet Tech program and would not trade my experience so far here for anything! If you're looking into being a Vet Tech, please, take it from someone who went somewhere else in the area, this is the best place for it!!! I have been attending Pittsburgh Career Institute for about 9 months now and it has been a very rewarding experience. I am enrolled in the vet tech program. From the very first day, at orientation, I felt fully welcomed and liked by the entire staff. We have an amazing group of instructors that truly care about seeing you succeed, but, you have to put the effort in. It is an extremely fast paced and overwhelming program…but if it is a career you are truly invested in, you make it work. I am in the dental program & it has been a great overall experience for the most part! Great staff from what I’ve experienced in my program, & great students here to make the experience enjoyable. Everybody here was great. From the receptionist Cindy to Dr. Joyce everybody was fantastic, friendly, professional, HELPFUL and all around awesome. I don't think that I've honestly ever been to a dentist who actually listened to the problem I was describing. Bravo guys, bravo.S

I’m originally from Texas and kinda ended up here as a freshman on accident. All my dream schools rejected me or their financial aid was not pleasant. I have visited TONS of schools from Chicago, LA, NYC, ATL, TX + and all of them were “my dream place” it feels great now saying I go here because this place seriously is the best place in the world to me. I could NOT be happier here. An environment that cares about its students, throws challenges at you IF YOU WANT THEM and above all seriously a stunning and unique place. From the cathedral of learning, to its top notch education. Seriously this place is a hidden gem and I couldn’t be happier here. Don’t be fooled by its “public” status. Yes it is a public school but it gives other schools a run for their money at a seriously affordable price(assuming you get aid which is kinda on your part from academics). I can’t stress enough how perfect this place is to me. Even it’s imperfections like how it lacks grocery stores or sometimes lacks food or “cardiac Hill” all make really good stories and the school never stops improving. Is it prestigious? Not to the extent of other places. But will you have an awesome time AND a competent education that’s world class?? Yes! I sound like I’m advertising but I really feel that way and so do other students. BEST PLACE TO STUDY IN THE US. H2P!Antonio Ponce

I went to college here, and honestly best school ever! I have a BA in Communication, and I’m returning this year to get a Master of Health Administration. Everything is good, such as food, exercise facilities, professors, and social events. Pitt also helps you get an internship with their internship-guarantee program. If you go to Pitt you definitely need to do that! I did three internships and one research fellowships during college. The school is nationally ranked, always a top 100 university on US World News and Report (I think Pitt is #66 this year). School of Public Health (which I’m going to attend) is a top 20 public health school.MonaLisa Leung Beckford

This place is awful. Terrible learning environment, professors don’t give a damn, did not feel safe for even a second, noisy and obnoxious. After one year of attending this college and I already know I’ll never return even for a visit. Students and professors are disrespectful. Charging 35 grand a year for nothing but ridiculousness. I went for a problematic tooth that needed an implant based on a recommendation, and I was surprised to hear that a second additional tooth of mine needed extraction and implant. That was from the lady in the coordinating office that handles agreements and billing on the work needed to be done, and can also see things in the x-rays as she mentioned to me. I requested the participation of Dr. Hart. Who also confirmed that the unexpected second tooth needed this kind of work. He included a crystal ball in his reasoning, and I was given the option to do both implants together or one after another. I've met in total with two endodontists, and two more general dentists (3/4 after my visit to Dr Hart) to confirm that second tooth is perfectly fine and no work is needed, of any kind. And that tooth was explained to be hopeless in this office, needing an implant. Beware.Zacharias Koutsokostas

I highly recommend Smiles by Hart. I am someone who has avoided the dentist in the past because of bad experiences, now I won’t go to any dentist other than Dr. Hart. Everyone in the office is friendly and professional, they provide excellent care, and there are no guilt trips for how long you haven’t been to the dentist. They understand the anxiety many people have and are compassionate and sympathetic. Linnae, the dental hygienist, and Kim, the patient coordinator were great at explaining everything and making me feel at ease. If you have anxiety or fear about visiting the dentist, you should visit Dr. Hart and his team.Robin M.

I had a fantastic experience at Smiles by Hart. I had my wisdom teeth removed and following the procedure I developed dry socket, to which I called Smiles by Hart as I am still relatively new to Pittsburgh and did not yet have a dentist. They were able to get me in the very next morning and addressed the issue I was having effectively. The team and Dr. Hart were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The issue I had was treated with little to no discomfort while I was a patient and resolved quickly. I will be coming back to Smiles by Hart for any dental issues in the future!Emily Stoodley

Linda was so thorough and informative, and explained every step of the way to what’s going on so there are no surprises. Very calming, as well. I am not a fan of going to the dentist. I have had this “fear” for many years. Not at Certus. They are kind, professional, efficient and from the moment you arrive to the finish of every procedure, they ALL do their very best to put you ( me ) at ease. I am still anxious about my appointments but know when I get there I will get excellent care. We have been coming to Certus Dental Care for seven years- since we moved to the area. Everyone, from the office staff, to the dental hygienists to Dr. Herrock and associates are personable, professional and punctual. I am treated with respect. I never have to wait more than about 5 minutes to be seen. They work well with our insurance. I highly recommend them!Kathy McCready

Please avoid this place if you want to have surprise bills sent to you for the treatment you received. This is after being convinced that they are part of your insurance network. I ended up getting a bill of about $1650 that I had to pay out of pocket that was not at all consistent with their initial treatment plan estimate. Furthermore, there were discrepancies in their bills where they had received checks from my insurance but somehow it did not reflect in the payment they had printed on their statement. I have tried reaching them almost 5 times, left voicemails but never heard back. I simply paid the balance to stop hearing from them or getting reminders about outstanding payments. Unprofessional. They do not return phone calls or voicemails from patients or dentist offices. Referred out for Implants and the other office tried to get ahold of them over and over to be sent the xrays with no avail. I had to call multiple times to get it taken care of. Didn't send what was requested the first time either. Also, fair warning, I had my first appointment in April and they waited until June to submit it to my insurance company so now I am fighting them to pay it. I have called billing and left voicemails with no response. They can email and text me daily to tell me that I owe them money though. AVOID. They also don't provide cleanings on initial visit. Hands down the best dentist office I’ve ever been too!! All the staff are amazing, and take such good care of you. After two terrible experiences with two different dentists, I went in there with some apprehension which they immediately helped ease. I don’t mind visits to the dentist anymore thanks to all of them!daisyjames999
