20 Best Dental Hygiene Programs In Chicago, IL (2022 Updated)

This summer I took my teenage son to the Lake Land College and just for the architecture alone it is worth the visit. We were disappointed that the main room was closed off due to repairs but that was certainly not the fault of the library. Each room we visited was a unique gem. My only criticism is that the volunteers in the front hallway were more interested in talking among themselves than in answering any of our questions. Indeed they almost seemed annoyed when I finally interrupted them after standing by the volunteer information table for several minutes without any one of them addressing us, despite no one else being there.Elnora Foston

Prepared me well to transfer to EIU. These are a few things that irked me – their int’l office director back then was amazing, but the current one messed up my sibling’s paperwork by giving inaccurate information. An excellent small community college, but not really good with internships necessarily though. If you’re looking for a great and affordable education, this is for you. But if you’re coming from overseas, please do your research three times and ask around besides the int’l office and look for internships elsewhere.TJ Prater

Whitleigh had done my hair today, and I definitely recommend her. She knew what she was doing the whole time, made me feel welcome, and didn’t complain of my box dye hair. I write this review with a very heavy heart, as I feel like the issues that have plagued myself and the important people in my life have not been improved on at MCC. Pros: MCC has an incredible range of teachers. The Criminal Justice instructors completely prepared me for transferring to a 4 year. They're so knowledgable in their field and love their students. I still go and visit them since they were so helpful and kind! I also like the variety of clubs they have at the school. There is something for everyone. Cons: This is where I get angry. I know so many people including myself, who have been swindled out of time and money by the counselors. They tell you to take classes, only to turn it around a few semesters later and say you never needed them. I spent a year and a half more there than I needed to, and my boyfriend has spent almost 2 years there more than needed. We were told we needed to take specific classes if we wanted to graduate, only to look at the actual 'planning progress' guide on MyMcc to see that there were numerous alternatives that could have been taken to receive the degree. Not to mention we both were never taught how to navigate the online planning guide, so we trusted the counselors for help. We've wasted thousands of dollars on classes that did not pertain to our majors. I would have spent more if I didn't talk to a teacher in my field, who gave it to me straight and helped me make a schedule of what classes to take that were absolutly necessary. I am still incredibly thankful, but it shouldn't be the teachers job to honestly help plan their classes. That's what a counselor is for. It still blows me away that after all this time this kind of behavior is still accepted. Bottom line is, if you're going here for a class or two for credit during the summer or in between semesters, go for it. If you want to receive a degree, be wary and trust your gut. Learn the (difficult) mechanics of the website, as it's way more reliable than any counselor.Natalie H

Edit: I'm updating my previous review but it still remains at a stellar 5 star. This is the best school I've been to. The people upstairs in Building A who run the advising and financial aid are mediocre but once you pass through that it is so amazing. I always register online for my classes so I don't have to wait in line. So if you like to be guided by the hand and told what courses you should take and not have to contemplate what you might like to take this is not the school for you. This is college, not elementary people, surprise! You actually have to think for yourself! (The audacity, I know) if you go in looking for private rich kid snobby type atmosphere where people carry you to wherever you need to go you're going to be disappointed. As far as instructors go, I cannot recommend MCC enough. Those I have currently, and have had in the past, go above, beyond, and well out of their way to assist students with material, so future students can rest assured that they will be in good hands. One thing I will say is, be ready to deal with ten kinds of attitude from financial aid, if and when you need to contact them. I've had to do so twice this semester – once for an issue they could have contacted me with when said issue happened and avoided the mix-up all together and once with a question about a grant I received – and on both occasions it seemed like I was bothering them. I got really snotty, condescending answers, so….be prepared to deal with that. That aside, though, I love MCC and highly recommend it, whether you're just starting out or heading back to school.Asero

I recently received a class schedule (non-credit) brochure in the mail from Harper College and found a mosaic class taught by artisan and glass artists Urii Guchenia and Nathalie who has her very own studio in Willowbrook. The class was very inexpensive and well worth it! Kristin the librarian was very efficient in sending us a friendly email reminder along with the campus map to find the building where the class was. The class was held in “The Make Shop” within the library. All supplies were furnished and setup for us. Nathalie and Urii gave a us brief history of glass mosaics and were so helpful while we created our pieces. They had a vast array of glass tiles in every color imaginable! It was so much fun and gave us all a whole new appreciation of mosaic artisanry!Michelle Foy

All along with a beautiful campus, excellent faculty and staff, and interesting engagement activities!! Please do not go to this school, its terrible! I went here for 3 years and obtained an associates degree in Arts meant towards a bachelors degree back in 2014 but my experience was horrible. Me being black and African, they denied me an opportunity to use the Chemistry Lab to work on an idea that I wanted to prove yrt they were allowing other students to use it. Yet, the school used me to advertise in the Daily Herald News Paper as an immigrant that goes to their school doing athletics. Had applied to this school for the MRI Program. Paid all the fees for application, transcripts, etc. Took the entrance exams and passed. Received my classes/schedule and sent them my fafsa. I had been registered for my classes already. I did an interview, the person that interviewed me was not professional, believe her name was Danielle Dertz. When trying to answer questions, i was cut off constantly and put down. Then right when everything was set and done for me to start the course, they give me a call that they do not want me as a student. My time was wasted, as well as money. They thought that I was not a good fit for the program because it is "too stressful". Previously, I was a full time student as well as a full time employee and received my degree from a different school with good grades, so I was stunned at this claim. They based this claim off of a previous job I had quit which had no relation to the MRI program itself. Instead of giving me a chance, when i expressed my interest and drive for the school i was shut down. Really disappointed in how i was treated as a student in the pandemic wanting to further my education Reply to response: The fact that you guys based your decision of my admittance on a job I worked over a year ago is disappointing. Both careers are very different from one another, so it’s sad that it is assumed that I wouldn’t be able to handle the program. My grades and achievements proved otherwise, but that was completely overlooked. I noticed with other reviews that many students had issues with the interview process as well. One would think after so many complaints something would be done about it but i guess not. As a student wanting to further their education, being discouraged because of a decision made, once again, over a year ago, was very disappointing. CNA is not the same as MRI. Many things change after over a year. The way I was put down by the Program Director was very upsetting and unprofessional. And I had also received a full schedule for the program. All of my classes were listed. You guys had waited to tell me that I was no longer accepted, hence my time being wasted. Instead of telling me right after the interview, you guys had waited. Midwestern Career College is a phenomenal institution! The staff, students and alumni are some of the most driven and intelligent people I have ever met. I originally met Mary Schmidt in 2018 and was fortunate to form a great business relationship after attending a career fair at the Chicago campus. While I originally attended this career fair strictly looking for Medical Assistants to hire, Mary educated me on the Externship Program that the institution offers. Mary was so kind to visit various UroPartners locations to further discuss this program with our Practice Managers. After many introductory visits, UroPartners started placing externs last year. We have now placed six MA externs and three of those individuals are full time employees who are still with the company today! In addition to that, our surgery center is now also participating in this program as they have started placing Surgical Technologists externs onsite. I’m currently a student enrolled in the EKG program and I’ve really appreciated the take on online education. We have an in person class once a week that really brings the class together and elaborates on key points. The facilities are really nice, the class I’m in is in their downtown building, and I have an outstanding opportunity to learn about my field. The class sizes are not big so there’s always opportunities to ask questions and clarify for my own sake. The teachers are very helpful and are more than willing to go the extra mile for their students which is amazing because you just won’t always get that at a bigger school. All in all I’ve really enjoyed my time at at Midwest career college and will be recommending this course of study for any of my friends or family looking to get an education in any of the many fields that MCC has to offer!!Michael Goubine

Dr. Weller and his whole team at Weller Dental is amazing – we can't recommend them enough! To start, they don't recommend or push unnecessary procedures just to gain a quick buck which so many other dentists will do. They really care about their patients! If you don't love Weller Dental for their amazing front desk team (Whitney is the best!), you will fall in love with Weller's right hand lady (&wife), Tina Weller! Who doesn't love a family business! She is on top of the operations and will make sure everything runs smoothly. I had to replace a bridge on my front teeth right before my wedding and they made it happen in a tight timeline, coordinated with other doctors, and it looked way better than what I had before. Dr. Weller is very talented and I would not have trusted many to do the work he did. My sister now wants to fly in from California to get the same work done since hers also needs to be replaced. Additionally, my husband got into a bike accident right before our wedding and needed his front tooth replaced! Weller was able to see him with no notice and you couldn't even tell it was half fake! I was referred to Dr. Weller when my previous dentist passed away. It's always a stressful and shame inducing experience for me to open my mouth in a new dental office. They immediately went to work on a comprehensive treatment plan for me that addressed my oral health, as well as my cosmetic concerns. Dr. Weller and staff are terrific – so professional and incredibly efficient. I went this week for my routine cleaning, shortly after they re-opened after COVID-19. Any nervousness I had was completely erased upon arrival. They are always prompt, but even more so now, and they were so patient and kind in explaining their new procedures. I felt so comfortable and safe the entire time. My hygienist is the best and always so helpful. And Tina and the office staff are very professional and friendly. Tina even called me on a Sunday when my appointment needed to be moved due to the events of the past couple of weeks and she couldn't have been nicer. As a new patient at Strobel Dentistry, I found the place to be very appealing and wonderful! Receptionists were very welcoming as soon as I walked through the door. I was able to get a broken tooth extracted and I will be replacing it with a tooth implant at this location. I went through many sites on google and even went to some of my local dentist offices, but none were able to make me feel as comfortable as I did at this place. Marcy was able to ease some of my anxiety when I made the decision that I would have my tooth extraction surgery the same day I walked in due to an infection on my tooth. This was also because the doctor who does tooth extractions happened to be there, to my luck! Marcy was also able to explain financial costs to me very well, since that was also one of my main concerns. She was able to put me on a monthly plan, which is also a good reason to come here, since from my knowledge a lot of people struggle with health insurance coverage in the U.S. like me, so she made it possible to be within my reach. Today is day two of my post- operation and everything has looked good so far! I expected to feel a lot of pain or see a lot of swelling from the tooth extraction surgery, however that has not been the case. I am actually looking forward to my dental appointments, after about 10 years of not going to the dentist, to see how everything goes and turns out. Strobel Dentistry is a great practice, dentistry as you remember it, before dentistry became all about cosmetics, and trying to" re-make your smile", although they can do that as well. They have all the latest technology including making their own crowns on premises. Dr Terrassa is professional, gives a thorough exam and is caring. She does what is necessary to keep your teeth and gums healthy. Overtime I have had several hygienist who were all great as well. Today I had Brigit, who was excellent. Love this dentist, huge improvement from my former dentist in many ways. Lots of thought and care goes into the customer experience. They're mindful of things like needing more time to have instruments out of your mouth or to spit / have suction more frequently. If you communicate your needs they will do the best to meet it. I've never felt more comfortable at a dentist. If you have a lot of dental anxiety then this would be a good office to try as long as you feel comfortable advocating for yourself. Billing and insurance are handled quickly and professionally so you know how much to pay and when. The office staff has a dedicated person for billing which really helps with knowledge and making sure that there are minimalist mistakes or if there are mistakes they get fixed quickly. They are quick to respond if you have questions both by email and phone and in person. I've also been referred through their office for other services when they couldn't meet my endodontist or surgical implant needs. I genuinely get the sense that they care about me and my long-term dental health and my last appointment this week was the first time that I've had no reported issues in years. Dr. Minkowski is really charming and professional and has really proven to be my favorite dentist that I've had so far. However, I've also worked with other dentists in this office and they've all been very polite and professional. Finding a dentist you love is difficult, but I was lucky to find Smile Design Studio after relocating to Hyde Park several years ago. The staff is friendly and helpful, my cleanings are always done quickly and efficiently (and as painlessly as possible), and Dr. Minkowski is knowledgeable and easy to talk to. They've made safety (patient and staff) a priority during the various stages of the pandemic, which I appreciate. Their intake form asks if you're interested in elective procedures (like tooth whitening), and if you're not, there's no further sales pitch, which I think is a great approach. I’ve been going to Dr. Kaufman’s office for over 10 years. The whole team does an impeccable job. I look forward to my visits because I know I’m in excellent hands. Finally got all of my dental work done – and there was a lot – yay! On a scale of 1-10 of high anxiety before going to a dentist, my level is 12! After my x-rays and cleaning, Dr. Koslow set up a plan for the work I needed in the order of most important. I started with a filling, then two crowns, then 3 more fillings spread out in a few appointments. I told Dr. Koslow that she is my forever dentist. She has a really fun spirit and is always happy which made me feel super comfortable at my appointments. She constantly checks in with me while she is working to make sure I'm ok. I absolutely recommend her if you are looking for a dentist. Her work is outstanding and I didn't feel a thing! As for the rest of the staff, I have nothing but pleasant things to say. Horrible. The university and campus look great. Then the nice goes away. Personal examples. Admissions/financial ad. Make the hour plus trip to them to turn in documentation that they say they need. Then they won’t take any of it and send me back home because I didn’t have all pieces. The one piece that was on the way was coming electronically from the IRS, why couldn’t they take what I had? I told them how far away I live and they knew the one piece had to come from someone else. They don’t care. ………………………………………………………… Classes: They will cancel a class and send you no heads up via email or phone call. The blackboard system they have loses hard work that you have turned in. Poof gone. ……………………………………….. Students are left to hang when it comes to poor teachers. I have had an calculus teacher whose heavy Chinese (?) accent was so bad that no one could understand her. Now how do you learn in that class? We would ask each other “what did she just say” and none of us had a clue. But the 100 reimbursement ends the very first day of class so nah nah boo boo to you. So you lose money when you get a class in which the teacher speaks horribly broken Englishy speak. Why would they do that?………………………………………… Parking lot fees for students whose degree are totally online…priceless. Disconnected…yep. When you get towards the finality of your degree you will have great difficulty finding those last classes that you need to complete your degree. Yes some of them will not be offered for a few semesters…why would they do this. Crazy. and if your lucky enough to see them offered it will be at the weirdest time possible. Yes Purdue makes new degrees and then forgets about students who are working on degrees they had four or three years earlier. Apparently no one runs the departments who actually offered the degrees in the first place. ………………………… Transfer credits. yes they will tell you what some of them equivalent to but the rest will be transferred in to Purdue and yet hold no value and are no substitution for anything. Yet they are from regionally accredited universities. Many of which will hold eerily similar names to existing classes. Thanks………………………………….. Bottom line. +++++ There are a lot of colleges out there that make the college process pleasant that don’t have the attitude of "well , if you want a degree from us we are going to make you run in needless circles just because we want too". I went there three plus years and was on the deans list every semester and in the end I got so sick of the games I went to somewhere else…somewhere where they cared.</P>LauraLaura Laura

If you are a new patient good luck trying to get their new patient coordinator to call you back. On day two I called the office back to see if someone would be calling me to get me setup for an appointment and then I was guaranteed someone would be calling me by the end of the day. That never happened so I figured they are not interested in new business. I called another dental provider that was in my network and in the Hyde park area. They took my information immediately and I have an appointment this week. Take notes University Dental.. very odd to have to wait days to get someone to even discuss appointment options. I can only imagine how their service is if they can’t even get intake appointments right.Jess R

I have been using UDP for over 20 years and it is the highest quality dental care I have ever had. The dentistry is just the best there is and even the hygienists are meticulous and thorough. I went to this office because I was looking for a holistic dentist. The experience has been outstanding from the very beginning. Jim at the front desk knows all the patients and was able to help me navigate insurance information without even me having to give him my insurance info! Dr Gilleran and Dr Nellie are very attentive, listen to all questions and concerns, and spend time with me to go through all the detail of the treatment and next steps. I recently went to see Dr. Nicholas Flores-Hutton to get all four of my wisdom teeth removed. I haven’t seen a dentist in over 7 years because I have always had uncomfortable experiences with dentists. Dr. Flores-Hutton truly changed my perspective on how going to the dentist can be. I was treated with respect and autonomy as he let me go at my pace and took breaks when needed. He listened to me when I said I was still in pain even after the ‘normal’ amount of local anesthetic, and provided what I needed. He was so encouraging throughout the whole procedure and told me I was doing great (when I probably was the most dramatic patient). Instead, they checked my insurance, took fresh X-rays of my entire mouth, and set up a comprehensive plan for me. Let’s be honest here people: we don’t ENJOY going to the dentist. It’s stressful & awkward most of the time, for most of us. Enter Dr. Dyoco. She is as kind & caring as she is professional & talented. My mouth aways feels a million times better after an appointment with Dr. Doyco. She is gentle but thorough, and never leaves me with a sore mouth. (Previous dentists? Every. Dang. Time.) I also have bruxism that I’d left untreated for some time as non-professional dental guards didn’t work for me, and I just couldn’t justify the costs of a professional one. Not here! On Wednesday my 4 year old grandson had a dental issue. We called his usual dentist who could only see him the following Monday. Concerned, I contacted Pediatric Dental Health Associates and explained the situation. Within minutes of reaching out for help, PDHA responded. My grandson had an appointment scheduled first thing the following morning. Paperwork was completed ahead of time online. They took care of getting dental records and X-rays before our visit. When we arrived at the child-centered offices, the receptionist greeted us both. Our first contact was a very inviting, friendly, stress free experience. This pediatric office is very welcoming! The moment I called for an appointment Izamar was very helpful! This is nothing like before. I’m so used to medical card and going to limited offices. There availability to schedule was open. Also the staff were excellent! They explained different options, answered all my questions & concerns, and most importantly they treated my son with so much attention & care. They not only talked to him, but showed him his teeth and explained the process of cleaning and much more. I definitely recommend this pediatric office. Experts in their field!!!!! My 4 year old was diagnosed with cavities and we were worried about him being able to sit for procedure. Not only did he sit for one, we were able to complete two visits at once. Dr. Montero and Ana explained everything so he could understand what was going on. It is evident that they know what they’re doing, Ana knew exactly what the doctor needed without the doctor saying anything. It was kinda cool to watch. Dr. Montero knew it was a good time to sneak in the cavity on top and he didn’t even notice! We got a prize and a lollipop (sugarless of course) and we had a happy camper. I have spent a little over a year and a half receiving Invisalign and general dental work at printers row, so I feel that I have a rather large sample size of experiences at printers row dental. Tl;dr- 5/5. Best dental office I've encountered. Further details below. I had been on the fence for a couple years about Invisalign due to a gap in my front teeth that had always bothered me but Dr Ema helped me finally make one of the best investments I've ever made. She patiently sat down with me and discussed the whole Invisalign process and I came out learning about how having the proper teeth structure is just as important as the aesthetics (meaning if your teeth are aligned you will reduce wear and tear in the long run and other benefits). She was more than willing to provide a detailed breakdown of cost estimates (that she claimed were ballpark) but ended up being totally accurate. Dr Ema also took the time to educate me about the "propel" procedure which greatly expedited the Invisalign process (several months faster). During these procedures she would do everything to keep you comfortable and painless- I really liked her way of explaining what she was doing and what I would feel as she was working. Goes a long way to show she cares about her patients. I know the dentist is the most important part of what people are looking for when looking for a provider, but let me tell you the reason I stayed: the front desk people. Dylan and Alaina are perhaps the greatest administrators I've encountered in the professional world. They are on top of everything. Despite having numerous patients, both of them would always remember with frightening accuracy what procedure I was coming in for, what I needed next, and what I had before. They were aware of where I was in the process from start to finish and scheduled accordingly (note- this is very important when you are on a rigid schedule with Invisalign tray swaps). Furthermore, they dealt with insurance hassles and reimbursements with aplomb. Quite literally they have saved me thousands of dollars and countless hours of headache due to their insurance acumen. They're also just great people. If there was something I would change it would be the logistics of Invisalign adjustment trays. The timeline of invisalign was a bit understated due to corrections needed, (but was still very short in the grand scheme of things). This was warned about, but I thought it was unlikely to happen (but apparently pretty common). This is also out of the dentist's hands since it's on the manufacturer to produce and ship the invisalign trays, so may not be a fair criticism, but just something to be aware of. The end result is just having to wear your tray for a few weeks more as you wait for new ones outside of the normal plan. All in all, I will always go to printers row so long as I am in Chicago. The hygienists are skillful and accommodating, the admins are wizards, and Dr Ema is an excellent dentist with great bedside manners and deep industry experience. I've already recommended it to my friends and have one already receiving Invisalign treatment- maybe you'll be next!Manoj Sunny

As a kid, I always hated going to the dentist because my dentist was always pretty rough with his patients. I felt a lot of pain because the novocane never full worked. I could feel the drill drilling into my teeth. As an adult, those experiences always haunted me, so I rarely went to the dentist. Only teeth cleanings. A friend had recommended me to Printers Row Dentistry and she gave glowing reviews so I thought I would give it a try. Let me tell you, I was extremely nervous at first but Dr. Ema and her team were top notch professionals, friendly, explained the processes and they really took the time to explain how to care better for your teeth. Last week, I had two fillings replaced by Printers Row dentistry and, it was the most amazing dental experiences I had ever had. I thought I was gonna be in so much pain. I was totally wrong. Dr. Ema took the time to make sure I wouldn’t feel anything and made sure I was comfortable. The entire process was really painless and effortless. I really felt the weight of anxiety lift off my shoulders. Definitely look forward to coming again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND 5/5 star!Chris K

I had a wonderful first visit to Dr. Ema's office on Saturday! I was looking for a dentist close to home and chose her based on recommendations from a neighborhood Facebook group. Dr. Ema and her staff were all very friendly and professional. I especially like that their offices are smaller as I felt thoroughly attended to and not like I was a patient on a conveyor belt as you can sometimes feel with larger/more busier offices. Dr. Ema explained everything she was doing as she conducted my exam/cleaning and reviewed her findings with me as she found them (after checking with me that I would feel comfortable/prefer this). She took ample time to listen to any concerns I had and to respond to them with enough detail that I fully understood everything. Nothing was pushed on me, helpful resources were shared, and I received a fantastic cleaning/polish with a plan for future care that assures me my dental health will be well looked-after. Possibly the best dentist experience I’ve ever had. There was no wait, everyone was kind and everything was thoroughly explained to me in a way I don’t think I’ve experienced anywhere else. Christine, the office manager, was particularly helpful when I forgot to have my X-rays from my previous dentist sent over, the hygienist was one of the nicest I’ve ever met and of course Dr. Tokowitz and the dental assistant were great as well. I had just tried a different dentist who I felt was a bit rude and salesy, so it was really refreshing to meet this team, who really just seemed to work like a well-oiled machine, with seamless handoffs from one person to another.Adam Rubenfire

I love this dental practice. Dr. Tokowitz is a master in this field. I have had major dental work during my life and no one comes close to the care and expertise I've experienced at Sheffield Square Dental Care. Do not go to this office. It’s terrible. I just called and the receptionist screamed and then she hung up on me. They charged me for a night guard but are failing to deliver it and the dentist I saw for the appointment was incredibly rude. Her bed side manner doesn’t exist. I already reported her and her medical license is being investigated. This office just collects your money and doesn’t deliver treatment. Every time I contact them they have a new excuse. To add context, this office collected $1,000 for a night guard but they have been making me jump through hoops to pick it up. I told them initially that I will be working out of state so I'd need to schedule to pick up my night guard a few months out. The receptionist said they can't wait, only after I paid them. Thus, the receptionist has been making me schedule appointments that I cannot come to, even though I made it clear I would not be there, I still had to schedule because they cannot wait. Do not be a patient here. They will not treat you well. Read the other reviews. They overcharge and don’t deliver. This time they did this to an attorney. I did not hear from you while your office was open. I am informing you that I am beginning to file a complaint to the ADA and your office is now the subject of a complaint to the dental board. Pursuant to (225 ILCS 25/) Illinois Dental Practice Act, it is apparent any judge would deem such behavior as strongly unethical and grounds for medical malpractice. Again, there is potential to reverse the complaint only if your office begins to cooperate and you schedule an appointment for me to pick up the night guard with the same dentist I was scheduled with earlier this evening at a time I am available to come in, not at a time your receptionist staff insists as has been the case thus far. This serves to inform you that after I file a complaint to the ADA, I will report fraud to the insurance and meet with the US Department of Public Health after which your office will be subject to an investigation. Medical malpractice rates skyrocket once an investigation is conducted. It is in both of our best interests to deliver the night guard.Joanna

Hi Mel here! I am one of Dr. Hoffman's out of state clients. Why do I fly in to see him? Lets start with his zest for technology. I just finished my Invisalign treatment and I am beyond happy I went with Dr. Hoffman and his team. My consult started with a scan of my mouth, they don't even get out the purple goo at The Chicago Dental Studio… So this scan is completed and my mouth pops up on this big screen with a heat map of where I'm currently putting the most pressure on the wrong teeth. Super cool, so Tony Stark of him. Dr. Hoffman begins the consult and he's showing me what my smile and my bite will look like after my treatment is complete. It's a short film of my teeth moving after every tray. LIKE?? My current dentist literally cannot do that, she lacks the technology. So his investment into his technology is his investment into his patients. Very impressive. Now onto his staff. 10/10 staff. Everyone is upbeat and smiling. The office is a friendly environment that puts you at ease. Dr. Hoffman has some how made dentistry cool, a nearly impossible feat. I get excited to see his staff, my favorites are Jackie and Melissa. They are absolute queens. I have a very fragile and sensitive gag reflex.. unfortunately I wasn't able to make through my X-rays without .. you know.. barfing. Very embarrassing stuff. Jackie and Melissa handled it with grace and didn't make a big deal of it. Melissa even rubbed my back while I was unwell. They let me take a break and even gave me a little plate of snacks. It was the best outcome for such a terrible beginning. We ended up laughing about it once I made it through my appointment. I recommend him to everyone. He is truly the best. He loves being a dentist and really puts your dental hygiene and health first. I have left the dentist with doubts in the past. Dr. Hoffman and his incredible team do not have room for doubts during their day. I am a longtime client of Dr. Hoffman and will refer him to anyone who will listen. He has seen me through some tough times with the health of my teeth, but always approached me with kindness and positivity. I have been coming here since 2007. Dr. Siegel installed my braces in 2007 until 2010 I was hard headed and didn't always listen to his instructions so I had to wear them an extra 10 months. The environment at Big Smile is always welcoming and caring. The staff and doctors really care. If you are looking for a dentist look no further. Call them asap to make an appointment. No to mention I haven't been to his office 2014 it's now 2021 I still had a balance of 300.00 they didn't say well you have to pay your balance 1st before you will be serviced. As always the Big Smile Team was friendly and welcoming. I had not been here since before the COVID pandemic and it was good to know the team is still so nice. My hygienists was super friendly and gave the feeling she really enjoyed her work. Someone who hums and sings to the background music has to be happy with their work. I cannot be happier with their work. Since I first stepped into the office they showed me around and explained me Dr. Diehl's career. They front desk and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, this was my first time visiting a dentist in the US(I'm from Mexico) and I was impressed with the technology they use here. They took x-rays, I had a deep cleaning, and then I came back for some cavity work, which was done super quick and painless. This is going to be an honest review. I personally don't like going to the dentist, but Dr. Diehl and Lauren made it to be a good experience. First time that a dentist explains what they are doing in detail and easy to understand. They took the time to do my cleaning and were not rushed to finish. If you are looking for a dentist, Dr. Diehl is the place to go. Nice and clean location. Easy to reach by public transportation or plenty of street parking if you are driving. What a modernized, hospitable, and thorough examination/cleaning experience by Lauren and Dr. Diehl! This place had upgraded examination tools and equipment than at my previous dentist. The patient's comfort was clearly a priority and I felt that my concerns were heard and addressed. I spent most of my time with Lauren and did a gum examination, x-rays, and dental cleaning.
