I was referred here by a close friend who is studying at the school for dentistry. The entire experience was great! From the moment I walked in, everybody had a smiling, friendly face. The initial examination was quick and thorough. The pricing is fantastic, and the instructors that guide the students are very knowledgeable and helpful. Everything is very professional and clean. It is a very nice building, and you can tell they have all the best and newest equipment on hand. Even the ceiling tiles are fun while you’re laying in the chair, as they have animal prints engraved in them and other fun things going on! I highly recommend checking it out. Good god, just let us use our email in an outlook application. We already have the other o365 tools. Having to access emails through the site is inefficient and we aren't notified of an incoming email unless we're actively checking. Also, the school's application no longer works. I'm not the only one. Read the reviews. Please use the "technology fees and other silly fees that we pay for something useful or please provide a refund. Reply: the pulse app is terrible and still does not notify of incoming emails. It doesn't display well at all. I have to say that the campus itself looks very well maintained and is enormous. I visited this location for training that deals with my current career. As a individual who has never visited this campus before I think my biggest and only complaint is that there is not enough signage to tell you where to go. Which is really annoying since I never been there before. My instructors were amazing and exceptional in what they do (kept it real) and had really good stories that made class go by pretty fast. Personally just a little too big for me but I hate crowds so ehh could just be my inverted mentality telling me to run.NW TCG

This is my Story: Being an International Student at Santa Fe College is the worst thing that can happen to you. Besides that your tuition is 3 times more just for being an immigrant, they don't offer scholarships. Why we are not allow to get help? because we are just seem as a profit. Also, we do not get the benefit to choose how many classes we want to take because we are "required" to be full-time. We can only take one class online for semester. This post is about my tuition and what they did to me at Santa Fe. I apply for a student loan because I couldn't pay the ridiculous amount of money, but what happened is that the "amazing people" at financial aid didn't processed my loan, so my classes got drop. I talked with everyone at Santa Fe for help, even trying a payment plan but the last day to add/drop classes just passed. I brought all my papers signed of my loan to financial aid, and they told me that nothing can be done to help me. They just play with me sending me to person to person making lose my time and nobody helped me. Whenever I went to cashier's office and told what my situation was this lady after treating me horrible told me "we don't care about your situation, we just need the $6,000 today or you can start saying "goodbye" to your visa. I feel really glad about the help that they didn't give me, by the end of this semester I am going to be back in Venezuela because they did nothing to help me keep my visa status. SF College is nice and affordable for local kids; however, they are not at all equipped to handle international students' concerns. Staff that students interact on a day to day basis are made up of mostly underpaid student workers, and their answer to every question is a default "No". It is really frustrating. You can immediately see and feel the difference between this small state college and your typical large, internationally experienced university. Nonetheless, in-house faculty do a decent job teaching courses. I can't say the same about Santa Fe's adjunct instructors. Some are truly clueless (though it is not their fault; poor adjunct instructors are so underpaid that it made my jaw drop when I heard how much they make per semester). As a student who wants to actually learn the material, your best bet would be to register early for courses based on the instructors offering them. Overall, Santa Fe College is an affordable stepping stone to a larger University, such as their next door neighbor UF. I suppose it would also be a nice option for regional kids from lower to middle-income families. But that's about all the credit I can give to Santa Fe College. Culturally, it is lacking diversity. Went there in 2012 right after HS from Orlando. I went there to hopefully transfer to UF. The system failed me. The guidance counselors did nothing to guide me, I got depressed there and failed. I was a very good student in high school(top 5% with both IB and AP-full coursework) until 12th grade a personal event happened and I stopped attending and starting failing but still graduated. This is why I had to go to SF college as my gpa dropped to be able to to to UF. I had a 2030 on the SAT in HS as well. I was highly able to do well at SF but they failed me by not giving proper guidance or support and it ruined my whole college career as they didn’t accept my appeals for late withdrawal and I was stuck with a horrible GPA that ruined my life.Anonymous Someone

Okay school but professors suck! Good learning platform with Blackboard (easy to use & navigate). Professors are very picky & strict with grading. They act like they are from Harvard. Faculty is not professional & highly rude. They don't care about you learning or helping you succeed. Rather expect you to fail. Lots of errors & typos on quizzes. No live or recorded lectures. Didn't learn much. Spend the extra money & attend brick & mortar or better online school to get a job.Oliver

I highly recommend Hodges University! I enrolled in the fast track BS degree with 10 classes left to finish in Interdisciplinary Studies. I graduated 18 months later! All of my teachers were phenomenal and my counselor reached out to me at the beginning of each semester to enroll me in the correct classes to finish my degree program as quickly as possible. Having attended other universities, I found this one to be the most committed in helping me complete my degree program!Ann AL

I have been at Hodges for two years now. Every time I hear about another school, I always compare my experience to Hodges. This has led me to believe that there are no other schools that I would be as happy with. The professors I have had actually WANT me to succeed and will do what they can to help us as students to develop and learn. We actually don't visit the college but the bay that's right beside the college. We are from Illinois and every vacation we come to this area. I'm not sure what the name of the bay area is but it's always easy to locate because of nearness to the college. My grandkids love coming here and I feel they are safe because the water is pretty shallow till about 20 feet out which gives them opportunities to wade and look for sand crabs. The college itself reminds me of my hometown college. Not too big and well designed. I like the fact it's spread over the block area. I feel like this school is robbing my GI benefits by telling me I “need” a class, then the next semester they tell me I didn’t need the class. I have 49 credit hours but was just told that 16 of those were ones I didn’t need. How is that possible? Even the VA approved of the classes, but now all of a sudden they are classes I didn’t need. And now I have to take another semester at GCSC when this whole summer I thought I was graduating after fall semester 😭Nikki Head

It allows students from the area to stay local and obtain useful and profitable degrees without having the high cost of leaving the area. Currently attending and have been struck with how little people here care about their students’ education. I’ve called for advisors to help me with transfer papers and financial aid to ask about my scholarship money (they never refunded it back to me) and I’ve been hung up, transfered to other lines, and even worst… gotten a voicemail saying they’re not available even after calling 5 times during different days and hours. It’s as if the faculty here doesn’t work. The professors are mediocre, really lazy and most have an accent that is hard to understand. Never answer to emails either and don’t help their students pass. I’ve gotten all As and one B but that’s due to how much I tried and stressed myself since I didn’t get any help here. Ever since the pandemic, it’s been difficult getting a hold of different departments and professors. When you sign up for a class, they usually cancel the class for the semester for various reasons. They don’t communicate changes in policy i.e. when you enroll for a class and your funding doesn’t come through, they no longer automatically drop you from the class so they expect you to pay for that class, even if you didn’t take it. Apparently they no longer automatically drop you for non-payment. It’s an unethical practice. Students should be notified of this policy change. The only bright side of this school has been the Access program. They’ve always answered calls and provided help.Kim Sanchez

Glitchy system that logs in when it feels like it, making me pay for classes I DID NOT TAKE and sent me to collections. Staff may lack 3rd grade education let alone college, the only thing they can direct you to is the bathroom. Appealing anything takes several tries and a firework display over Bayside spelling out "stop screwing me i.d. #000000000". Best thing I could've done for myself is not even bother with MDC. worst school ever. came here as a religious member on LGBTQ+ community and definitely wasn’t accepted even though I was religious. you have to be a straight white die hard christian to get the slightest respect, or the star player of a sports team. their saying “one big team” only applies to certain people. very unfriendly to people of different races, religions, and sexualities. student life is very poor (hardly any activities for students that are actually enjoyable and students are not nice). dorms are not clean and very old, RAs and staff in general are VERY rude and pressure you into going to bible study, fake people on campus, food is bad especially from the caf, absolutely awful town with nothing to do besides suck the life out of you. the staff and faculty promise a lot of things and do not follow through, they are simply there to take your money. the school is small and seems like the only thing students enjoy doing is gossiping and spreading rumors. worst 3 years of my life…. not sure how anyone could enjoy that school. my best advice is to go literally anywhere else or transfer to get an actual college experienceTaylor Links

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL. I transferred here for the start of my junior year after moving back home, it was the worst mistake ever!! Some of the professors here are terrible. They’re terrible with working with you as well as communication. Don’t get me started on the admissions office. I went completely ballistic on a few of the staff. I was supposed to graduate in May 2021 because I would have all the required courses needed to do so from the people I had talked to when I first attended the school. At the end of February, I was notified I was missing two courses but by that time I could only for one of those in my schedule because I would be over the limit for credits and I’d have to stay for the summer and take a course. Which I wasn’t cool with. I had been at the school for 2 years and I felt that this wasn’t handled properly at all. This school is very unprofessional and if I would’ve known from the beginning I would’ve just stayed where I was. I recommend NOT going here if you want to keep your peace and sanity. I was a student here from 2020-2022 and I would nor recommend going unless you are conservative, white, christian. While there definitely are some good people and I had good experiences. The overall quality of the school is run down, unclean, and not worth your money. I will say I had a good experience with the professors in the psychology department. However, the food options/quality are horrible especially if you are someone with certain dietary needs (Vegan, Gluten-Free, etc.) It is a very small town and believe me it looks so great as a high school senior or a parent, but they make so many empty promises and it is truly not at all as good as it looks on the outside.Isabelle Soult

Lovely campus, with almost 9000 acres! Huge trees and grand lawns frame Gothic architecture which themselves house state-of-the-art labs and lecture halls. Duke's research grants are famous for being generous, even for undergraduate students. Keep in mind, though, that the admissions rate is very very low, so you probably won't get in.Ameya Majmudar

I attended the reunion this weekend as a husband. It was an overall pleasurable experience. The campus itself is very nice and meticulously maintained. Bathroom facilities adequate but nothing extraordinary. The BBQ on Saturday afternoon was nice because it was on campus in a very nice area. Music a bit loud for mid afternoon. Food, not great. I really liked the coozie they gave out. The class party Saturday night for the 10 year peeps was fascinating. It was inside a recreation center which seemed like an odd choice given the plethora of really nice areas on campus. The food selection there I thought was good but many in the group strongly disagreed with that sentiment. The tortellini was on point even tho it seemed to light a bit of a fire under my seat if you catch my drift. I was a little disappointed at all events that I had to pay 7$ for a bud light after already purchasing tickets. I will say we popped over to the 5 year reunion and wow, what a treat that event was. Overall it was a nice weekend, BC seemed to do my wife well as she is very smart. Her friends are also very cool. So I would recommend the college. Not impressed. My mouth hurt for hours after a cleaning I got done here. Tried to talk me into getting Invisalign while scraping my teeth and telling me I really should have been scheduled for a different cleaning. They also told me I need two fillings which I was going to pay out of pocket for. I went to another dentist and they told me I don’t even need those fillings done. I must say first and foremost this is by far the best dentist I have been to!! Dr. Espinoza and his team are a very wonderful and welcoming bunch they really do treat you like family I had to have 5 teeth extracted (all 4 Wisdom Teeth & my 2nd Molar) and I will say I was very nervous about the procedure been dodging it for months until the pain it was causing was becoming absolutely unbearable! So I made the appointment to have it done, The day of the procedure still very nervous they talked me through everything they would be doing from start to finish and promised I wouldn’t feel a thing and they were NOT kidding I felt nothin!! Dr. Espinoza had all 5 out in about 20mins. (Today) 6 Days post op starting from the day after I actually didn’t have any pain whatsoever very very little swelling still very minimal tenderness but that’s to be expected. I kind of felt like a pest slightly as my 4th day my 2nd molar that was removed felt weird they got me in that day and Dr. Espinoza checked it everything was fine healing as it should and he was very polite about it he has an excellent chair side manner almost as if he were talking to a family member..Today went in again because it still wasn’t feeling right and Isa I believe I spelled that correctly the dental assistant took out the stitches as it seemed they were bothering me and said everything looked great! Rather safe then sorry I wanted to be sure. Finally I will say that if you are needing any work done go to these guys they will take excellent care of you I never liked going to the dentist but this place really gives you piece of mind and will treat you 110% like family I will be continuing all my dental needs with them as they don’t try to upcharge you or make you get any procedure that doesn’t need to be done!! In 2015, I began my journey as a new single mother to a sick little infant. From day one my guidance counselor, Mark Parker was my cheerleader. As a father himself he understood why I was so scared of the unknown regarding my little girl. Classes started and Amy Mercer helped me with all the didactic portions and insured I never said I can’t. Nichole Lambert was and still is the director of the ST program. Many times I thought I would never make it and they all assured me I not only could but would do great. Well then I went into clinicals and met Lucy Alvarado. She pushed me to be the best me and all together with the support of all of Concorde I not only am a CST, but I have surpassed that. I became a First Assistant then graduated with a BPH and now an MPH! A masters degree!!! And I could not imagined I would ever be where I am today without them! One team one fight! I am a ST student at concorde since February of 2020, I love the program, the students and the teachers really try to help you if you are lost or behind. During the covid-19 pandemic the teachers did not hault the program but they instead had us do our campus classes online and we meet up on 'Teams'(or zoom sometimes) 2x a week to go over our class work and go over our PowerPoint. I love how flexible we all are. We still have lab 1-2x a week and sometime split up people to minimize the amount of people in labor. If we email our ST teachers they get back with me within a short amount of time. I'm excited to graduate May of 2021😊Rose Hopper

I went back to college when I was 35 years old and did this so any of you younger guys or girls you can do this. I never had a problem getting a job. Made an appointment here and I need some work done, I have some other issues so I was a bit nervous. I saw Dr. Rasmussen and had x-rays done. Both the dental assistant and Doctor put me at ease right away. They scheduled me for a cleaning today. I went in and my hygienist was Lauren, possibly the best person I've met in a dental office. She looked over my x-rays, advised me of what she would do and got to work. I was never uncomfortable or in pain, my teeth felt like they were each hand detailed for a presentation. From my first visit to Dr. Mann’s Dental Office ( which had previously been called Dr. Rollins’ Dental Group) I was impressed with the staff member, who had taken my Aetna Dental card, and told everything was in order; then, Jackie, the Dental Hygienist , a knowledgeable, competent professional proceeded to take new, needed, yearly X-Rays, which were immediately read and results were explained to me; questions about my dental hygiene, suggestions for possible improvements; followed by a total cleaning of my teeth and gums (a procedure which is performed 4 times/ per year.) The cleaning was sometimes paused for questions, humorous stories, laughter…a getting to know you … sort of interview on both of our parts. At completion, Dr Mann, a personable practitioner, introduced herself, checked my recent X-Rays, discussed the Dental Hygienist’s findings, performed an oral cancer screening, examined my teeth and found a cracked wisdom tooth, which she wants to cautiously monitor for a possible crown. This malady had never been detected before, and will be rechecked at my next visit in November of this year. I paid the bill in full, which will be sent to my Aetna Dental Plan for recovery of funds to be sent directly to my home office. I did not have a bad moment, no; a positive, pleasant experience. The first time i went there was with my teenage son for a cleaning and to see if there was anything that he needed to have done. I was told that there were several things that needed to be done for my son so i set up the appointment for the following week to have things taken care of. when I went in for his second appointment, I had some concerns and questions about the possible root canal that they said he may need but wouldn't know until they got unto it. I know that things are not always certain but I still was unsure if I wanted to put my son through that at his age. When I asked questions the girl behind the desk got extremely rude and defensive over the fact that I was questioning the procedure. When I tried to explain my concerns, she seemed to get more agitated over the fact that I was wasn't sure if I wanted the procedure done. There were several other things that we needed done and I told them I didn't have a problem dealing with them but I was just unsure about the possible root canal. She was visibly not happy that I was questioning things. I was made to feel extremely uncomfortable and decided to leave the office and cancelled his appointment. Going to a dentist is something no one likes to do, but to be disrespectful and rude to someone just because they have concerns is not ok. This place was absolutely perfect. I went through the hell several years ago with what was Aspen Dental.. a complete and total scam. This is a no BS small and local operation with a nice little office and great staff. They didn't try and sell me on $15,000 worth of dental procedures like all the conglomerates do these days. The staff was very friendly and excellent. I was able to get seen and get a cleaning all in my first visit. So happy to have found a new dentist that I will be going back to from now on. It is a very small practice but that is a benefit. In what is a wasteland of very poor dentistry in this part of Florida, we are very happy to have found them. Dr Delgado is an excellent dentist, Alexa is a great assistant and Lori is very easy to work with. Eileen, the office manager is always smiling and runs a tight ship. Never have I been treated with such a lack of compassion. I am working to overcome dental anxiety and after waiting for 40 min in the lobby listening to another patient speaking about her bloody gums and stitches I was taken to a room where I continued to wait. I will admit that after almost an hour of waiting and listening to horror stories and the ambiance of drills I was upset. But having Dr. Klamut treat me with condescension and contempt was not something I ever expected. He had a referral drawn up for me before he ever even spoke to me because it was 5 o’clock at this point and he didn’t want to be bothered with compassion when he could be done for the day. Absolutely disgusted with my experience here, I have worked really hard to overcome my fears of the dentist but this was a reality check of what kind of person they can be.Caity Sorgen

I would like to take a minute to share with everyone about my experience with Dental Care at Midpoint this past week. Kristin Greene, the dental hygienist was very kind and gentle. Dr. Karen Iberhim is PHENOMENAL. Both of these ladies took very good care of me today. Dental Care at Midpoint provides Nitrous Oxide to adults and children with higher anxiety levels at the dental office. Nitrous Oxide helped me tremendously. Beware! This practice will do a great job at selling you services you do not need. I was informed by multiple people in the office, including the dentist, that I needed a bridge or implants. After receiving the estimate which states "If you have dental insurance, please be aware that THIS IS AN ESTIMATE ONLY" followed by "Coverage may be different is your deductible has not been met, annual maximum has not been met, or if your coverage tale is lower than average.” That is the extent of the contract that was signed with no mention of what actually happened. I am aware of my deductible and that has nothing to do with this situation. I had the procedure done and only a portion of it was covered because my insurance company, which Modern Dental is a participating network member of, stated that I actually did not need the procedure therefore a large balance of the claim was denied. When I spoke to Modern Dental billing, the dental technician and the dentist I was told this happens all the time and they would appeal the decision for me and provide the proper more detailed information to my insurance company. Feeling reassured that they were used to this and they deal with this type of situation on a regular business they appealed and it was denied again stating that what they had sold me was not necessary. I again had conversations with billing person up front and the dental technician and was told that they would have the dentist intervene personally to resolve the denial. Once again the claim was denied for the same reason, the procedure was not needed. When speaking to the billing person this time, they absolved themselves of all responsibility for selling me a procedure that I did not need and demanded payment which I did pay. This was an expensive lesson for me so learn from my mistake, if anyone at Modern Dental tells you that you need anything over and above a normal cleaning, go somewhere else and get a second opinion because they will not stand behind what they sell you and you might be paying for a procedure that you don’t really need. I’m not impressed by this dentist at all. They made my dentures exactly one year ago. They were much more expensive than most other places but I hoped they would be higher quality workmanship. Don’t waste your money here. They’ve worn uneven and unexpectedly fast. When I went back and showed them, I was quoted $1,000 to have them made with porcelain teeth. I didn’t even get home before I got a call from them saying I have to pay $2400 more for them to make them. I about fell down. I got the estimate, paid the cost, and then they tell me to pay another $2400. No way. I feel cheated and every one needing dentures should find someplace else to get them. I gave one star because I can’t give 0 and the staff is very nice. As a follow up with the dentist, he blames the dental lab on DelPrado, but never shared their phone or address so I could contact them. Doesn’t offer any warranty on the dentures he provided, even after seeing my existing dentures that I presented on my first visit. Don’t waste your time and money on this dentist when you get the same dentures from Modern Dental and they offer a warranty. My loss is your first defense of what you need to be aware of when you’re shopping for your dentures.Mel Rudd

Day 2 post op and although I have some swelling, the pain is extremely minimal, if none at all. Care, compassion, family oriented (yes at the dentist)!! 😊 is definitely not what you’d think when going to the dentist, but from all the staff, down to Dr. Luke and Dr. Pette, I’m so glad that “hating” going to the dentist, has put me at ease when coming to Modern Dental. Some places feel like a factory with the get you in and out. Not here! They take their time explaining things before, during and after and make you their priority for sure. I hate that I’ve been needing so much work done lol but I’m happy that it’s being done here. Treating the girls to DD here and there also makes me smile, because seeing them smile is awesome too. They’re not your typical miserable, hate their “job” crew! They take pride in what they do and taking care of their clients. Sorry for anyone that’s had not so pleasant things to say. Dr. Berrios guided me gently through a root canal, allaying my fears with her soothing and reassuring manner. I had only to put my trust in this superlative doctor. The staff here are very courteous and kind. The experience from check in to check out was great. The hygienist made a dental cleaning as comfortable as a dental cleaning can be, the dental assistant made getting x-rays a breeze, and the dentist herself was extremely knowledgeable.
