Review Summary
The most terrible school I have ever been to. Both the main campus and the Community college are the same. A lot of slow, unprofessional, and rude staff who keep yelling at students when they are not even doing their jobs properly. I submitted a certain paper to the Financial Aid office and they told me they lost the paper after weeks that I had to pay about $1700 out of pocket. During the 2020 Pandemic, I tried to contact them as I was having difficulty to waive the Student Insurance that is provided through the school because I already had an insurance coverage; no one answered my call until it was due. And now Miss Gaskon told me that I have to pay about $1300 for the coverage I never needed. Mis Gascon was there in 2018/19 when I had the same issue; she helped me waive it then. I could not go to her office in 2020 be a of Covid restrictions. I tried to solve the issue communicating with them but nothing got better yet. I would not recommend anyone to go the UDC unless one needs a headache. I cannot deny that there are some great Professors such as Prof. Sonnie Abebaku. However, individuals are very helpful to us, it’s overall experience at the university that makes a difference in our academic lives. So far, my overall experience is just TERRIBLE!Henok D
Worst administration I have ever had to deal with. Not only do they never respond to email or phone calls, they can't even keep track of ELECTRONIC applications, that required my daughter to submit 3 times and be forced enrolled late into classes due to their incompetence. But they also can't even have the literacy to read the applications correctly to charge the correct rate to students. They went ahead to charge not only my daughter but several other students out-of-state resident rates when all their applications illustrated DC residents. Like how can you not even read what's on the applications! How many other students were charged nearly 3 times when they should have been charged as a DC residents scares me on the level of corruption and neglect this body demonstrates to it's it's attendees.0 Then to not even have the decency and competence to even respond to emails and calls to try to correct this is just completely absurd, no wonder UDC is a laughing stock of a school to attend they can't even serve as a place to get extra credits for actual schools. How neglectful can you be to students and applicants, like seriously!Edgar E
Okay So I applied about 3weeks to a month ago and I’ve yet to receive any papers informing me if I was missing any documents or etc. I’ve called at least 5 times a day for about two weeks straight leaving voicemail after voicemail and no one has yet to return my call not only did I call multiple times I have also emailed them multiple and no response. It’s ridiculous what’s the point of having an admissions office if they not even going to pick up the phone, guide you in the process of being admitted or anything else like you guys get paid to do nothing it’s sad.Jamilya Allen

Review Summary
Dr Roshan and Janae are absolutely fantastic. For most of my life, I had awful experiences with dentists. Due to poor decisions at a younger age, my teeth were in bad shape (yellow, gingivitis, crooked, etc.). Every dentist I have seen over the course of my life has shamed me for the state of my teeth and given the same recommendations: brush and floss more. I did that. Nothing worked. As a result, I gave up hope and lost confidence in my smile. About two years ago, I decided I had enough and scheduled an appointment with Georgetown Dentistry for a veneer consultation. Since then, I have gone through every procedure under the sun, from your basic dental cleaning to an implant to veneers. My teeth are straight and white, my gums are healthy, and my confidence is greatly improved. This is solely because of Georgetown Dentistry. Dr Roshan warmth and encouragement changed my attitude. She was dedicated to my dental hygiene and walked me through the treatment plan. Moreover, she is incredibly talented. She pinpointed problems that prior dentists overlooked or in some cases, caused in my mouth, and provided solutions that other dentists never gave. Her only fault, if you want to call it one, that she may be considered a perfectionist. She has a precise eye for the color and alignment of teeth. If she felt she didn’t place something right or do it good enough, she would do it again and put in the time and effort until it was perfect. If I felt any discomfort during or after a procedure, she would stop and make me comfortable. Janae was also fantastic. She was always available and very accommodating. made scheduling a breeze and walked me through the billing process. Most importantly, she is a good person at heard. Whenever I walked into the office, she greeted me warmly, asked my about day, and chatted about my progress. She was just as encouraging and dedicated to my smile as Dr. Roshan. In sum, Georgetown Dentistry is the only dentist office I’ve ever been to that made me excited to go to the dentist. I can’t emphasize enough how crazy that is for me to say. Dr Roshan and Janae sincerely care for their patients. Your comfort, hygiene, and confidence is their number one priority. If you go to them, I promise you will not be disappointed and you’ll leave the office smiling like I did.Miles Evers
I started with Dr. Roshan many years ago. She was in a larger practice, but I had started with one of the other doctors. That dentist told me there was a crack in a molar and I'd need a crown, saying "I can do it next week, but don't wait a year." On my next visit there, I asked the front desk for a new doctor "who was great with young kids, too?" The staff recommended Dr. Roshan. She took one look at the molar and said it was fine… which is still is, maybe 15 years later! My kids and I have seen her ever since — following her to her own practice. She's been amazing with each of my now much older 'babies'. And this — the same story has repeated itself over the years. For example: my kids have a dental plan and two-or-so years ago I figured I'd try taking them to a covered provider. The new dentist told me my 15 y.o. daughter needed 7 cavities drilled and filled – in her adult teeth! Again I heard, "We can do it next week, but don't wait!" We went to Dr. Roshan to double check. One was a very small cavity, the other 6 were stains and just needed a buffing and sealant. I gladly paid more to have less done, and to protect my kids teeth from unneeded drilling. Finally, I've witnessed what an incredibly hard worker and dedicated person Dr. Roshan is. She studies and stays at the top of her field, and moved to her own practice because she wanted to provide a higher level of care. She poured her heart and sole into her business, is an excellent dentist, and is great with my kids. Yep, sometimes I pay more to go to her practice (and they do submit a bill to my insurance so I get a bit of coverage), but sometimes it really feels like I'm saving money – AND adding years to my teeth. If I didn't switch to her years ago, I might be getting that crown replaced by now!Karl Moeller
In the first few weeks of Covid I had what seemed to be an unfortunate incident where I bit into a pit – and chipped my tooth! Thank god we had to wear masks those days in public – my front tooth chipped in half and did not look too good! Thankfully I was referred to Dr. Roshan! What was a devastating issue turned out to be a great experience. She had a lovely office in Midtown area – her staff is great, professional and efficient! She did a veneer for my 4 front teeth. I should have done 6 or shoot all of them! I regret not doing more as they turned out great! I went from looking like a hillbilly to a million dollar smile in a matter of days! Her attention to detail is second to none! I found out that she is the daughter of a very talented woodworker/carpenter – well the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. She is a perfectionist. She molded and perfected the Veneers. She really is passionate in all she does at the end I am not sure who was more pleased with the work. She took so many pictures as they really turned out great! After this experience I stopped going to my regular dentist as I preferred the experience with Dr. Roshan. They don’t take insurance but don’t let that stop you they file your paper work and the insurance sends the check in no time. It actually is better than getting called in just because the Dentist knows you have end of the year insurance money left! I always hated that kind of work! With Dr. Roshan you get unbiased decision making based on what is best for you! How it should be. Thank you Dr. Roshan you are a blessing in your profession and to us in DC area! Keep up the great work.A K

Im highly pleased to write this review! From the staff to the doctor I felt like my child mattered! This was our first ever visit & won’t be the last! This is my children's new dentist now. The moment we walked thru the door they treated my family & I with love & respect. With floors , walls, chairs, bathroom so clean you can eat off! The neighbor is really nice as well! My kids loved the colorful decor with the beautiful stars in the ceiling. It’s the next day from our visit & my son had his tooth pulled & he’s not feeling any pain. Have no fear parents your child or children are in good hands here at ShiningStars Dentist!!!! My babies & I left with smiles & balloons & toys in hand!!! Thanks again ShiningStars Staff for the above & beyond customer service!!! From Us!!! ☺️Blueprint Ree
I gave it two stars because the dental hygienist was very professional and attentive to my son. However, my 4 year old child and I as well as other patients and parents witnessed the most unprofessional experience. The staff members started arguing out loud with one another using foul language in front of the children. It was if they were not in a place of business. They went on and on as if no one was there being serviced. I’m not sure who is responsible for handling that office, but clearly the staff needs to be trained. I could not believe what I was hearing. I could not hear what the dentist was saying about my sons teeth because he was soft spoken and they were extremely loud. My son won’t be returning to that office for dental careTarika Smith
This my was my first time here with my 3 kids one who is on the autism spectrum. They had to get fill ins so they were being sedated. They was wonderful so nice and attentive. Dr Gio I believe and his assistant was very nice. Let me know everything that they was doing, went over they process and everything with me. Even the front desk was nice I didn’t catch her name but she was wonderful as well. I loved the fact that they took their time with my oldest so who is autistic. Also fast as well. For that I am very grateful. I definitely recommend anybody to come here you will not be disappointedJanine Matthews

Review Summary
We left our former pediatric dentistry practice for a few reasons and we are thrilled we changed after a friend recommended Dr. Charlie. Our 3.5 year old had her first appt today and it was such a positive experience! Everyone-front desk staff, dental hygienists and Dr. Charlie-was so wonderful with our daughter. Showed her everything, explained how it worked and what it would do, and took time to talk to me, too. She told me after we left that everyone was “so cool”. All we can ask for!Lexa Lemieux
Pediatric Dentistry is absolutely AMAZING! Dr. Charlie Coulter and the entire staff make every visit comfortable and enjoyable for my two girls! The care they provide is unmatched. Going to the dentist made me nervous as a child and it makes me so happy that my girls get excited to go! I’m so thankful I found this practice. I joke every time I go saying I wish they saw adults too.. lo!Tenisha Harrison
The BEST of the BEST! Both of my children go to Dr. Coutler and we've also had the privilege of seeing Dr. Casper. Both are absolutely outstanding in every way- amazing, warm, engaging demeanor, treat my children with kindess and respect, take every question seriously, they take their time. My kids LOVE going to the dentist, as do I since I get to play Mrs. Pacman 🙂Bonnie Leventhal

Review Summary
I had my first appointment today with Dr. Philips and it was probably one of the best, if not the best, experience at a dentist in my memory. First, their COVID protocols are superior! Since I caught breakthrough COVID at my previous dentist's office, I was very reluctant to go anywhere again, but when your tooth hurts, you have to find a way :). The admin staff received my phone inquiries with care and concern and were very efficient in getting me signed on as a new patient and in retrieving my records from the former dentist office. COVID protocols start with a questionnaire online, 24 hours before you arrive at the door. The office is newly renovated, clean and very pleasant atmosphere. Dr. Philips' examining room has the best view!. He listened to my concerns, reviewed my previous records with me, and educated me as to what "next steps" beyond today's appoint I could choose to take or not. He advised me on each step he took on today's procedure and it was really rather painless. A friend of mine recommended him to me several years ago. I wish I'd listened to her then. I think it would have saved me a lot of trouble. I've already recommended his office to a family member.Elizabeth Forbes Wallace
All the many years of visiting this dentist office has been very professional! The staff is ‘over the top”! My visit to day was great as usual! My hat 👒 is off to my dentist, my dental hygienist and of course the staff there! My visit today was exceptional! The staff is one of a kind! Some many professional offices can learn a thing or two or even three! Thanks for being so courteous!Queen Asi
High quality patient care! My son and I arrived 20 minutes late for our appointments due to traffic. We were greeted by the front desk staff with compassion as opposed to frustration. The hygienists and Dr. Grewal took the time needed to ensure our checkups were performed properly. We felt like we were their only patients :-).Manisha Bhaskar

Review Summary
Approximately 15 years ago, I was diagnosed with severe periodontal disease which came as no surprise to me since dental issues have been prominent in my family for generations. Earlier this year, I realized that I could no longer wait to have this issue resolved so I visited an oral surgeon in Washington D.C. at the recommendation of my general practitioner. After the Oral surgeon took X-Rays of my gums, teeth jaw, he determined that I would need to have all of my teeth extracted and be fitted with dentures (with no possibility for a fixed solution) which I was adamantly against. After a brief discussion with the surgeon, he referred me to Dr. Siranli who is one of the top prosthodontists in the world, which would turn out to be one of the greatest things to happen to me in my lifetime. When I went to visit Dr. Siranli, I was immediately put at ease by her soothing demeanor and her wonderful, and extremely competent staff. She put me through a series of tests which included X-Rays, visual inspections, and manual tests which she performed with extreme precision and care. After these tests were performed, Dr. Siranli concluded that there was no reason why I could not have dental implants, or at the very least, a temporary (fixed) set of teeth while I awaited the permanent dental implants. As fate would have it, Dr. Siranli had an opening a few weeks later for me to undergo surgery for my temporary (fixed) set of teeth. Two weeks later, after arriving at her surgery center, I was tended to right away by Dr. Siranli and her wonderful staff. During the entire process which lasted most of the day, I was kept abreast of each and every step that Dr. Siranli and her staff was about to perform. They kept me very comfortable during the entire surgery as they performed each step with extreme care and professionalism. Dr. Siranli could easily have just taken a few measurements of my teeth and gums and created a temporary set, but she did not do that. Instead, she took dozens upon dozens of measurements because she wanted the outcome to be perfect. I'm convinced that since Dr. Siranli and her staff are almost exclusively female, they are not only the most competent and experienced group for this type of work, but they have a superior eye for aesthetics and beauty. After spending most of the day going thru the process, the best was yet to come!! In the early evening when my teeth arrived and were placed in my mouth, I could not believe my eyes!! My teeth were easily the best set of teeth amongst all of my family, friends and colleagues. I'm so happy that I can't wipe the smile from my face. In the week or so since the surgery, I have experienced no pain or discomfort. For anyone who is considering having dental implant surgery, I would highly recommend Dr. Siranli and her staff as they are the best in the business. My entire outlook on life has changed for the better, and I can't wait to really start enjoying my life. Dr. Siranli and her staff are the best!!!!!Douglas Parker
A year ago, I wrote a partial review, here is the follow-up based on my implants, crowns, Invisalign, and professional bleaching: Firstly, Julie, Lauren, and Andrea are all amazing! Mai and Daisy are also truly amazing! Even more so why it pains me to write this review because I think Dr. Stephanie, Dr. Siranli, and her staff are all great people, but this review is solely based on the dental work I have done in this office. I will start by noting that Dr. Stephanie did a fantastic job with my Invisalign – I am very pleased with how straight my teeth look, and she is an absolute gem of a dentist; I highly recommend her! Maryam did my bleaching; I was unhappy with the results and voiced it; unfortunately, it was not worth the high expense, and instead of her redoing/ fixing it, I was given an at-home bleach kit to fix the problem myself (which can be easily found on Amazon for anyone interested). Dr. Siranli did a good job aesthetically* with my implant and crowns. However, pretty-looking teeth with significant discomfort and pain don't really feel worth it in this case. Also, the color doesn't entirely match my natural teeth – this would not be a problem if it weren't noticeable, but I have very forward people who immediately pointed this out. I had reached out to Dr. Siranli expressing that I am experiencing a lot of pain sensitivity and discomfort post implants; when I got to her office to remedy this issue, to my surprise, I was only there for a "photo shoot" of my teeth bc she was so happy with the aesthetics, she wanted to take some photos of it; my main issue and reason for being there felt wholly overlooked. She shaved/ filed my teeth and told me the pain and discomfort would be gone in a week – now I am left with an unpolished back tooth due to the shaving, and terrible discomfort. On another note – they are attentive at first, but once they feel you become a regular, they no longer care about treating you like a paying client, especially considering all the work I have done; you're treated very differently, and you can expect to be abandoned in a chair with no explanation and then left waiting even with a scheduled appt (which all were). On multiple occasions, I got to the office around 9-10am (sometimes earlier) and would only leave around 5pm, sometimes later than the staff; this is how long you can expect to be abandoned. My final Implant was Wed 7/20, my appt was at 8:30am and at 4:50pm I still did not have my implant in. I literally left the dentist's office at 7:05 pm. As I said, I think everyone is great, but the lack of respect for my personal time and value as a patient is unprofessional and very disappointing. This was all very expensive, and sadly, the results were not as expected (and promised). Even though my other experiences were not that great, I still think they are great with cleaning and other dental work – my bone graft healed phenomenally.Lauren
Super quick appointment for a cracked tooth from an old root canal that was never finished (thanks a lot, pandemic). However, the office is physically closed on Sundays. BUT the dentist will still answer your phone calls and give you the next available spot and some advice on what to do beforehand. Not many offices will do that on a Sunday unless you go to one of those shady 24/7 clinics. So…on to the actual experience… DR. MILLER SAVED MY TOOTH. He was super cool and the dental assistant (forgot his name) was just as cool. I was terrified that I was going to have to lose the tooth. Not only did they save it, but they built it up, put a temporary crown on it, worked for about 2 1/2 hours, and did it all without the need for anesthetics. Yeah it hurt a but when he pushed on the gums, but I can handle that with a little breathing work. This place is GORGEOUS! Probably the nicest looking medical office I've ever seen. What dentist office have you been to that has a grand piano in the hall? And Netflix for patients to watch while work is being done? Sunglasses to prevent water from spraying in your eyes? Amazing. The decor, the atmosphere, the staff, it presents such an amazing look that I've never seen at any of my other doctors. I'm super happy I found them. Well worth the 5* reviews they've gotten.Dan C

Very efficient, accommodating, and professional. Had a severe pain in my tooth which had been recommended for a root canal 20 years back (the tooth had been fine). Called Ideal Endodontics and Jocelyn was extremely nice and polite and managed to get an appointment for today. The procedure went very smoothly; it was actually pleasant. It took about 25 minutes in total. For those who hesitate or are afraid of the procedure—don’t. It’s really like getting a filing just a little longer. I highly recommend this practice, which I found on Google Maps and checked against my insurer Aetna. Good luck.Sergei Antoshin
There are not enough stars to post for Ideal Endonontics. This is the best experience I have had with a dentist for a complicated dental issues. The entire staff is wonderful. The receptionist are very patient and knowledgable with all questions asked about insurance and all concerns. This companies first concern is to make patients feel as comfortable with whatever services rendered. The Denist and clincal staff work together to ensure the best experience for everyone. I highly recommend this firm to anyone looking for the best care and experience from a dental office.Gina Cain
I can honestly say one of my best times of being in a doctor's office. If it weren't for the friendly staff, it was the sound of Stevie wonder playing in the background….for some odd reason after that, I knew I was in great hands. My doctor also explained to me what happened, also what other dentists had never told me about previous work, and the mistakes that were made, and how things would be different after our visit. Also a plan of action in the future. Would definitely recommend.MARCUS d. HUNTER

Review Summary
Due to several home repairs simultaneously occurring – maddeningly, my 9:30 am appointment, which was right there in my iPhone calendar big as life, I did not show up for my routine propylacxis appointment. The Smiles International office manager called around 10:30 and asked if I was coming in. I apologized profusely and said I’d blow the appointment, and I was graciously offered a 2:30 pm appointment that afternoon, which I accepted straightaway. The hygienist was – as is always the case at Smiles – friendly, efficient and did an excellent job of cleaning, checking for pockets, polishing and examining for any other possible oral lesions. While in the treatment room she also made my next appointment. All in all, I couldn’t have had a more satisfactory experience…she also explained how and why, because of the COVID problem, use of the – for lack of a better descriptor – “spitting bowl” – has been eliminated. Smiles International is truly a model dental practice. Dr. Gary Kaihara has been my dentist for nearly 30 years, and was recommended to me by one of his dental school classmates when I moved from Boston to Washington DC. From the first, Dr. Kaihara has exhibited a professionalism and genuine interest in dentistry to greater than any dentist I have ever encountered. In addition, he and his partners have always hired attentive and caring staff. The hygienists on the staff have always been highly attentive and personable, and I look forward to having them do my regular cleaning. The office staff are also invariably pleasant and efficient. I just had a cleaning which I had put off due to my great caution as to Covid. The extreme care and concern of Dr. Kaihara and the entire staff amid Covid gives me great confidence that going in for my cleaning was a wise decision.Charles Schilke
Dr. Watkins is a high caliber professional who makes the well being of his patients a top priority. He is compassionate, listens well, and provides a through detained explanation of his patients problems and how that problem will be solved. His superb staff which includes Elaina, J.D., and others reflect the high standards of this practice. I have been a patient over 5 years, and always receive excellent customer service. I needed to see Dr. Watkins this week for an emergency and even though the calendar was booked, space was made for me. This is the type of service all patient/clients will be afforded. Also, I am somewhat skeptical going out to stores and offices due to the corvid-virus. However, I was extremely impressed with top notch screening and other safety measures and precautions this office is taking. I felt completely safe!V. Nadine Daniel

Review Summary
I have been looking for a Black Owned dentist for a while and after searching online, I decided to give La Luxe a try. I was blown away by the atmosphere, modern decor, cleanliness, and professionalism from the entire staff. It was almost like walking into a doll house. Everything from the welcome greeting with my name displayed on the TV in my room to the weighted blankets to the relaxing music was amazing. Rosita was top notch with explaining every detail regarding how everything works. She was knowledgeable, engaging and has such a warm soul. The DA was very professional, gentle and explained each step of the way. Dr Fagen was absolutely amazing with her knowledge regarding my dental needs as well as her technique and gentle approach with my cleanings. I even fell asleep during the cleaning which speaks volume for my comfort. As someone who is going to school as we speak to become a dentist… I can honestly say this is the one dentist with whom I’m inspired to be like. Thank you to everyone at La Luxe for the top notch spa like service and to the perfect way to exemplify Black Girl Magic at its best. Ameenah Hyman
I truly had a great experience at La Luxe. The office space is beautiful and very clean. I typically don’t enjoy going to the dentist, but this was the most enjoyable experience that I’ve had. I have sensitive teeth and typically feel pain during cleanings, but didn’t feel any pain this time. The experience is customized to you, with your name up on a big TV in the patient room that also has the ability to play TV, music, etc. of your choice. They also offered water and juice as complimentary refreshment when I walked in for my appointment. Lastly, on the way out I was given a complete breakdown of costs, what insurance is covering and what I’m paying. I was also curious about teeth whitening and was given a full breakdown of what those costs may look like if I pursue it in the future. Truly an enjoyable experience – something I thought I’d never say about going to the dentist.Jack Zullo
My visit to Luxe Dental and experience was great. Since I walk in to the practice, I could feel a good atmosphere. Rosita immediately welcomed me to the practice and got me ready to start with all my paperwork. After that, received a tour from the practice and got seated. I was there for my evaluation and cleaning. All of the process went smoothly, everything was very well explained and the overall experience with the cleaning was great. Dr Fagan was also very attentive and answered all my questions. I love how simply the financial part was explained and all my questions were answered. A great experience overall and I would recommend anyone to go to Luxe Dental.Jonnathan Reyes

Review Summary
I chose Ditrict Endodontics for root canals based on decent reviews and their ability to get me an appointment quickly. I did not know what to expect because it was my first root canal and the majority of what I had heard about procedure was scary. From the moment I walked through the frosted doors I was impressed. The receptionist was pleasant, professional, and proficient There was not a long wait before being taken back. Every step of the way the assistant and Dr. Zand made me feel comfortable. The dentist chair massages and they have a nice monitor to choose something from Netflix to watch while waiting for numbing to take effect and during procedure. Dr. Zand works quickly and efficiently and I did not experience any pain in tooth that was worked on. I returned today for my second root canal and the experience was consistent with the first visit. I highly recommend this practice. If you have anxiety about a root canal or another procedure, you need not worry. Make an apponitment with District Endodontics, they will take good care of you.frank swyca
Really never thought a root canal could be such a comfortable process. The facility is peaceful, clean and modern. Every staff member from the front desk to assistants are a pleasure to deal with, professional and extremely helpful. The doctor has the best manner I’ve ever experienced across any medical field, and is an expert at what he does. Even though it was a molar, my root canal was painless and had no infection. I barely even needed to use ibuprofen, it was astounding. Medical providers, in my experience, often disregard the things I’ve listed above because people will always be ill, business will be good, and thus they usually just try to fit as many in as possible even if it causes their patients wait 30 minutes to an hour past their appointed time. Dr. Zand’s office exceeded any of my experiences in the past and should be a case study in how to properly manage a medical office.Charles P.
Excellent….two times over! This was my first time meeting Dr. Zand. and his staff. I must say, he is passionate about what he does! Not only does his bedside manner put me at ease and relaxed my jitters, his knowledge and information about a root canal was a bonus for me. He educated me on the root canal procedure and, what was happening with my teeth. Dr. Zand wanted to make sure I was comfortable before agreeing to move forward with the root canal. After listening to him, I knew my decision was the right one. He and Patricia both were great! I did not feel anything! Thank you Dr. Zand!R. Sutton

Amazing experience from the moment you walk in. I recently had my front teeth fixed by Doctor Hussein. I had mostly a patch job –and with time it was really starting to look bad. My smile has transformed from a 1 to a 10! All done within weeks. I cannot recommend him enough. I will forever be grateful to his masterful work. His highly experienced and professional staff are the best, they make your visit all the more enjoyable. I highly recommend a visit to his office, you will not be disappointed.EDOVDJ
After my last dentist retired I was worried about finding a new one. Dr. Hussein purchased the practice from them and I thought to try him out as his location is great. Dr. Hussein is a real gem. He and his staff are exceptionally courteous and will ask to make sure everything is okay and that there is no pain during your exam and cleaning. He truly cares about his patients. Both my wife and I now see him on a regular basis and hope he doesn’t retire any time soon. YOU’RE THE BEST DR. HUSSEIN!Tim Brezinski
Dr. Hussein and his staff are very kind, organized and effective. They've done amazing work for me and, importantly, they communicate everything very clearly, they are patient and kindly offer advice and options. Every person I interacted with in his office has been warm and professional. I am new to the area and was nervous to find a new dentist but I'm so glad I visited Dr. Hussein–I highly recommend him!Shipra Kanjlia

Since I was a kid, I've always hated my smile. I didn't like my crowded teeth and often got frustrated because of the way my teeth looked. When I walked into Dr. Oliver's office 2 years ago, I knew instantly that this office was loving and was encouraged by Dr. Oliver's positive feedback on my smile and the treatment that she had to get my teeth straightened. 2 years later I am out of my braces and sad that I won't have regular appointments, which were always a time to spend time with my ortho family. Thank you, Dr.Oliver, Ms. Bernie and the rest of the team for showing me love and patience during my treatment. I will miss all of you. Love you. I recommend everyone visit Dr. Oliver's office for all of you Ortho needs. She is the real deal and a great professional .Nathan Woods
Dr. Oliver and her staff are extremely professional and are a pleasure to see every visit. I have been very pleased with the progress my teeth have made. She is extremely detail oriented and thorough. Her office manager, Debra send reminders every month and is very accommodating to busy schedules we all have these days. Liz is very knowledgeable and has great technique always careful in her adjustments. Overall amazing experience and would highly recommend any adult or children to Dr. Oliver and her staff of Orthodontic professionals.elaine freeman
I was charged $7,000 for Invisalign, which is not what I needed. My goal was to reverse the bad orthodontic work previously done in high school (that guy pulled 4 perfectly healthy, permanent teeth to "make room in my mouth" instead of expanding). I was hoping Georgetown Orthodontics would reverse this but unfortunately they made my problem worse. I am now at Miami Designer Smiles, and in the process of reversing everything. Do your research and shop around before you commit to someone for this stuff.Taylor Butts

The school has motivated me to become my best self. The teachers and staff are so wonderful and helpful, the programs offer a variety of career paths, and i wouldn't go to any other school. 12/26/21 UPDATE Needed to come on the record and say that my original 5 star review is only because the teachers tell you to write a 5 star review in exchange for a good grade, credit, or extra points on an exam. Don't believe all the good reviews on here. I graduated April 2020 from the Medical Assistant program and have yet to receive a certificate of completion despite multiple attempts to contact the registrar. There should be no reason for them to withhold my diploma as they already received all my completion documentation AND i qualified for FAFSA so they already received all the money from my student loan servicer. This place is a scam and I wish I had gone somewhere else.Joselyn Alvarez
Career Technical Institute is a fraudulentand needs to be closed down. This business targets low- income residents because CTI know's that some of us low-income residents don't understand student loans and how it can play a part in not getting a job or leasing an apartment, etcetera. Also students don't have knowledge that a student loan stays on their credit report. This school cares about money only. Career Technical Institute combined my grant and student loan. I was told that I was going to get help in getting a job which never happened. I never received my diploma because I couldn't pay my loan off. Sadly, I can't give 0 stars to Career Technical Institute. Career Technical Institute is not acreddited with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).Jamelia
I think these different reviews are confusing. But I think I know what the issue is. Some reviews are based on Hospitality and some are base on IT. I can tell you right now if you're dealing with IT, this is the absolute worst place to go to start a career. It's just really a waste of time and money. Even if you have to pay more money you may as well go to a real accredited institution and I can tell you without a doubt this is not one. They focus and take advantage of mostly low income African American students misleading them about finances and what they will be able to gain from the courses. It's a scam, I'm keeping my ear to the wind for charges to be brought up against them sooner or later.Kenneth Smith

Review Summary
IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY, DO NOT COME TO DENTALTOWN DC! The administration of this practice is sloppy at best and deceitful/fraudulent at worst. Not all is bad about this place: hygienists/dentists seem knowledgeable and friendly enough and it isn’t too challenging to get an appointment. However, I had a series of issues with this place concerning billing/insurance that resulted in me feeling scammed/bait-and-switched: This office charged my insurance for xrays that I never had done. Upon informing them of this, they said they would fix it but did not even mark it in their system. Most notably, this office gave me the wrong estimate of how much a mouthguard would cost based on my insurance, leading me to go ahead with getting it. After doing the molds, they tried to charge me more than DOUBLE the price that the initially mentioned to me. Once I pointed this out, they fell back on that it was “just an estimate.” The manager threw her front desk staff under the bus for this, blaming them for reading the insurance system wrong but refused to give me the price that we had discussed. It felt unfair to me because I made the decision to proceed based on the price/estimate that they had provided to me and because of their error, I was left holding the bag for double the cost. They should have provided me with the accurate price either days before the appointment or when I showed up! I offered to meet them in the middle in the spirit of compromise but was told no, so I left without a mouthguard. I felt like they didn’t really care about the increased cost and I was really frustrated by this experience and the manner in which the manager handled my issue. Overall, the administration of this place needs a TON of work. This place is going to cost you extra time in trying to fix their mistakes and extra money when they won’t own up to them. I left and won’t be coming back.Seth Hochman
Nightmarish experience. I went here for the first time in January. First, the dental assistant was very sweet and took x-rays. Then, the dentist came in awhile later and it all went downhill… The dentist was sneezing and coughing saying “don’t worry, it’s not COVID.” More importantly, though, the dentist was rude and disrespectful. She was trying to teach the dental assistant a few things at my time and expense. It was clear the dental assistant wasn’t understanding her questions, but the dentist kept asking them over and over and over and getting more visibly annoyed every time… in front of me. Then, when we got all done nearly two hours later, the dentist told me I had several problems and needed a lot of work done. I had a gut feeling that this was not right, so I never scheduled a follow up appointment as instructed. Yesterday I went to a new dentist who is SO good — he respected my time, had good bedside manner, and to no surprise, found NOTHING wrong. Dental Town DC is in the business of making money, not caring for patients.Sarah Carr
Do not go here! I got Invisalign through them and had a TERRIBLE experience. For my Invisalign aligners they missed a tooth on it! All of my aligners were made with a tooth missing from it! When I brought it up they were completely dismissive of me and would not remake the aligners. I had to ask multiple times before the aligners were remade. The new aligners that were made, did not fit my teeth and again my concerns were dismissed. I had to switch providers to finish my Invisalign treatment. Dental town has not responded to any attempt to contact them for a refund for their faulty and inept dental practice. Go literally anywhere else for treatment!Eric Brown

Review Summary
I have been a patient of Dr. Laviola's for several years now, and this is the best dental practice I have ever been to. Dr. Laviola and the whole team takes extraordinary care to make sure you are always comfortable throughout any cleaning and procedure, both major and minor (I have had both). The entire support team is also great and proactive on billing/insurance processes. Hana did my latest cleaning, scaling, and X-Rays and did such an expert and thorough job without any discomfort on my end. She took the time to be gentle and precise with anything she did and is clearly a top-notch hygienist. I have never had such a smooth appointment. Because of several challenges receiving dental work and bad experiences other places, I usually dread dental appointments, but Dr. Laviola and Hana have changed the way I view going to the dentist. Dr. Laviola uses the newest technology and treatments and gives a thoughtful approach to how he treats any issue or procedure. Dr. Laviola has gotten me into a much better place with my oral health after having many years of challenges. Highly recommend this practice!Brett Eastham
Dr. Laviola reshaped the veneers that I had originally gotten done from a different dentist that I didn’t love. What I really liked about Dr. Laviola is he really listened to what I didn’t like about my veneers and knew how to correct them. He understood that people have their own individual tastes and style and is willing to cater to people's personal likes and dislikes rather than just doing what he thinks makes a smile “perfect.” I didn’t want perfect teeth, I wanted my teeth with a color correction and my last dentist didn’t quite understand that. Dr. Laviola shaped my veneers exactly how I told him I wanted them and I now LOVE them. They felt way too bulky before and now they fit my mouth and smile so much better and it feels like me. I had regretted the decision to get veneers at first but now am so happy I got them done and eventually found Dr. Laviola. I would have gone to him from the very beginning if I had known about him. He’s very talented and genuinely cares about what his clients want.Mark Holland
An update May 2022, Dr.L did an implant and bone graph, absoultely fantastic. I chose full IV sedation, they did an outstanding job. The kind gentle care was amazing. Absolutely professional. If your not a patient now than get onboard. Dental Masters of Alexandria is the best dental office on the planet. I would never go to another Dentist. I have been a patient of theirs for years now. Dr Davis and his staff guided me through everything. By that I mean they helped me understand what works for my personal dental care in regards to suggesting an electronic toothbrush for me (which works fantastic) as well as Listerine Total Zero mouthwash. In the past whenever I went to his office for what I thought was going to be a routine cleaning, he found cavities that needed to be filled. I just came from his office this morning for a routine cleaning…and he said my teeth were in great shape and he told me to keep up the good work! That made me feel really good, because I always get nervous whenever I go to the dentist because Dr Davis is very detail oriented, so I never know what he’s going to find. I was very happy when he gave me a good report. I think that good report was all thanks to the electric toothbrush and the Listerine Total Zero 😊 Even my dental hygienist said that everything in my mouth looks to be under control (compared to when I first walked into Dr Davies office.) Yay me 😉Michael Feldman
If I could give them more stars I would. I have been going to Dr. Davis for the past 15 years since I was 7 years old and I would never go to another dentist. I literally dread the day that he retires because I don’t think I will ever be able to trust another dentist like I trust him. He is great at what he does and always gives the utmost attention and care to his patients. I also really love Diana, she is super sweet and will take really great care of you. All around the attention and service you will receive here is top tier, I couldn’t recommend them more.Carmen Stuart
Dr. Davis took me on as a patient last year, and it has been a fantastic experience. He is patient to explain things to me and very professional. So far, I have had all four of my wisdom teeth removed and filled 4 cavities from him — all done at an excellent level. I can tell that he takes his work seriously and that his work ethic is something to applaud. Diana is also great and always welcomes me with a smile. Could not recommend more.Nicholas Gao

I am so happy I found Children’s choice for my five-year-old son. Since our first appointment, I have been highly impressed. The staff is always warm and welcoming, which puts my son at ease and makes him feel comfortable during his visits. I love that they allow the parents to sit with their children in case they need reassurance while getting their teeth cleaned. Ms. Jo is AMAZING; she has a beautiful voice and always sings or comforts my son if he is a little uneasy, and I looovvvee Dr. Anamelechi! Dr. Anamelrchi is kind, attentive, and funny. This amazing doctor is a true visionary and is completely changing the game for children’s dentistry. Thank you all for a great experience every time.Nahid Jarrett
It is always a pleasure coming to our favorite Pediatric dental and orthodontics practice. Aaron’s crown came off last Thursday with no complaints from him. We were able to get Aaron scheduled while confirming his big sister’s Orthodontic appointment this past Friday. Needless to say we were in and out with the wonderful care we always receive. What I really loved about today was the teaching experience Dr. Anamelechi providing her assistant without making her feel uncomfortable or inadequate while prepping what was needed. THANK YOU! Until next time, keep providing those beautiful smiles.Shunnell Lewis
I am a huge fan of Children Choice! They are truly child focused – always greeting my daughter with enthusiasm and respect. I really like how they engage her during the visit, explaining to her why they are doing what they’re doing, and checking in to make sure she is okay during the experience. Excellent bedside manner. The dentist Dr. Jenny is very knowledgeable, and explains advice in accessible language. The office is vibrant, modern and clean – a perfect mix of fun and professional. I’m very thankful to have found this practice. Highly recommend!Mareena Robinson Snowden

Review Summary
Dr.Fattahi himself is nice and has a good memory but I’ve walked away with sore gums and teeth and cut gums after cleanings with some of his dental hygienists. Furthermore, Dr.Fattahi has directed me and mother to two different dental specialists (oral surgeon etc.) and both not only lied to us about what our insurance covered but also tried to charge us an insane amount ($2000 for wisdom teeth removal) and lied about what X-Rays were necessary in order to get the surgery pushing the most expensive ones. We did not continue on with the oral surgeon or other dentist that Fattahi recommended and I’m angry that Dr.Fattahi would even recommend these people to us but of course these are his little friends that he would rather help out than get his patients the best deals. My family will be returning to the Dental Group where we went for 16 years before switching to Fattahi for about 5 years.Grace Mills
I want to say "Thank You" to everyone for making my dental visit a pleasurable experience. The entire team makes you feel calm and welcomes you when you walk in the door. Dr. Fattahi is caring and takes the time to listen to his patients. He made my experience relaxing and positive. A couple of years ago, Dr. Fattahi was recommended and described as the best dentist in Washington, DC, and I agree. I especially appreciate his thorough exam and methodical approach to my treatment plan since I need extensive dental work. I am sending a special shout-out to Tolson and the entire team. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone. Thanks again!!Marie Woodward Graves
Dr. Fattahi is the best! His office is very safe, covid wise, but I’ve been going here for over 10 years and never miss an appointment. The staff are all super friendly, the hygienists are great at their jobs and get my teeth sparkling clean! And if I have a cavity, Dr. Fattahi takes care of it, and makes sure it’s a painless procedure for me! No one really ‘likes’ going to the dentist, but I don’t mind it… that’s basically equivalent to love!Ashley Philips

Review Summary
I went to see Dr Ross today knowing I had.a cracked tooth. I wasn’t mentally prepared to have him repair it right away as no one is enthusiastic about having old fillings drilled out and repaired. He was so reassuring and suggested that since I was on borrowed time with the tooth the best option was to fix it. I relented and am glad I did. An hour and a half later, with no pain and no drama, Dr Ross and his supportive and capable assistant , Tawana, sent me on my way with a new gorgeous filling and a fully repaired molar! Dr Ross has been my dentist for years. I am always impressed with the superior quality of his dentistry. Thank you Doc!Liz Shepard
Dr. Ross and his team are a class act. If it would be possible to give Dr. Ross and his team 10 stars I would. Dr. Ross fitted me with veneers over twenty years ago. However based on my age, I felt it was time to have new veneers fitted. I traveled many miles from my home (including a two night stay in a DC hotel at my own expense) to have Dr. Ross and his team fit me for veneers today. The experience was pain free, filled with professionalism and expertise, however most importantly to me, my experience was filled with kindness. Final result of my new veneers today…Fabulous. Thank you Dr. Ross, Tawana an Janay!!!Annette Iacono
Dr. Ross and his team are truly fantastic. I’ve had significant dental anxiety my whole life after a rough dental experience as a child, but my first visit to City Smiles was the most comfortable I’ve felt in a dentist’s office to date. Their expertise, technology, and impeccable bedside manner made a world of difference. They were able to get me in on short notice, were very generous with their time, and answered all my questions with patience, candor, and detail. As a business operator myself, I can say with confidence they run a well-oiled machine over at City Smiles and I strongly recommend them.Devin Johnson
