Although it probably is so instinctual for them that they may not realize it, as the one in the patient chair, it's remarkably obvious that the entirety of the staff is empathetic to an incredible level of service and sheer kindness. It is not at all an exaggeration when I say that I get SO EXCITED when I get to recommend their office to a friend or even chatty stranger in need of dental work. My experience today was a one of a king for sure!!!! From the moment I walked in and checked in via a tablet (so convenient and private just my first name and first letter of last name) to the friendly hello from Emily and EXCELLENT care from my hygienist Trish was AMAZING!!! I was seated a little late but the team at South County Smiles apologized and acknowledged my time is AS VALUABLE as theirs, I felt that my needs were attended to, that the hygienist took her time (even though I know she was a bit behind) I felt as though I was the #1 priority. I am an alumni class from several years ago. When I was there the environment was great and it is nice to know, it still is! I hear about it from both younger siblings class of 2018 and 2021. Most of the teachers are remarkable and truly care for their students. The trade classes become small families and the trade school teachers are experts in their fields. My pet peeve are the rules not being equally applied and not always being just. My example are the students with family working in the school; they do get special privileges such as not getting in trouble when others would. I seen it when I was there and still see it. The school is typically great with rules and discipline. Maybe it is all schools who knows. I wish the school would have expanded larger before adding more students each year because when it comes to graduation it is very hard to squeeze as many people into the small gym. I'm glad the sports have expanded since being there! It is great that the school is always renovating, clean and well organized. Hopefully they will eventually find more space for all the new classes, shops, sports, groups and students they keep adding.A.M. F

My son was very disappointed when he found out he was on the waiting list and honestly I feel discriminated because he has all a’s currently and had a’s and b’s last semester. And his attendance percentage is a 92 and would’ve been higher, but we went on vacation and we lost a couple days and he still did his work on his computer so his grades stayed the same. And his colleague has C’s and D’s and has the same attendance percentage as my son and he got accepted and my son didn’t and honestly we feel very disappointed in this school because they told me that the reason why my son didn’t get accepted and is on the waiting list is because of his attendance and my sons colleague has the same attendance as him and he got accepte d with worse gradesCarla Darosa

There are many silly kids reviewing who do so because they performed poorly in school. Don't listen to them. 3 stars because the technical education is a must! Regardless of if the shops are your calling, you have a job leaving high school. That's huge. However, they don't always handle students well. Even the students who performed poorly could do with better care, because as a student who does what they're supposed to I had to deal with so many bad students. REALLY bad. The school isn't actually exclusive. Its definitely worth it though in the sense that its the best you'll get in this county. I don't know if thats saying much.Jazzy G

I consider myself very familiar with the VA medical system. I've been in treatment from my injuries since my blast consistently since 2014. None of my past diagnosis mean a thing here.. The gastro department here refuses to talk to the neurology department. For someone who has a traumatic brain Injury this is very important. I've been in inpatient facilities and other hospitals where's it's taken years for specialists and doctors working together to come up with a diagnosis and plan. I then move here where a student gives me a diagnosis in minutes with a prescription.. Im almost bed ridden now and have to move to another VA because of it.. I've been treated unprofessionally by my case managers where I've brought up past records and been laughed at as if I was making things up. .. Just recently they can now see my records and after almost 4 years with my health in horrible decline I now have more problems than I came here with. The blame was placed again on me for not doing a proper transfer of care. They had months of advance notice because this wasn't my first time going to a new VA. Constant blame and no accountability. Even with my records now available I'm deeply disturbed by the fact I have rarely seen a real doctor here and just see students. This place may be great for your normal aging veterans but if you have serious injuries or anything to complicated I wish you the best. Some other better facilities include Pittsburgh VA and Richmonds Va where I have received top notch care. Good luckColton Carmen

I have had very mixed experiences here. Some amazing staff that listened and really wanted to help. Powerades abusive jerks who took pleasure in triggering a flash back. It's the usual mixed bag of garbage the VA gives you these days. They force the patients to wear masks under COVID protocols. They prevent patients from having companions while receiving care under COVID guidelines. But I did not see a single staff member wearing a mask nor a face mask nor taking any COVID preventive steps on themselves. They prevented my companion from joining me but did not offer me a sign language interpreter even when informed of my profound deafness and that my hearing aids were broken. Yet when I did not respond or I did not understand they ER staff on my second visit became very abusive and did everything they could to trigger a flashback so they could put me in the non-compliant category and get rid of me. if you are a combat veteran and if you have any other option don't go there .Melissa Sterry

Providence VA Hospital has got to be the worst healthcare system I've ever seen. They give you phone numbers that don't work. They lost my MRI scans twice – I had to go back to the imaging center twice to get them. But this is the worst: I've got cervical spine issues from previous surgeries. One day I had severe spasms, lost control of my car, climbed the curb and nearly hit a group of people. I called the VA as I was scared … a nurse called me back, I explained the problem and he said the doctor would call me back but no one ever did. I had to get my own primary care doctor and get a referral to a specialist outside of their system. I had asked for a new doctor and they said they'd send me the paperwork … they never did. Dr. Broess and staff are absolutely amazing!! He has placed braces on myself, my oldest daughter, and now starting on my middle child. After completing our braces we are completely happy with the end results, definitely a boost in confidence! Dr. Broess is extremely thorough when discussing the treatment plan, reviewing the best possible options to achieve the best results for an amazing smile! He is kind, funny, and personable. Always making sure the patient is happy and satisfied through the entire process. Best orthodontist by far. The office staff is friendly and accommodating. They make sure you are comfortable from the time you walk in to the time you check out, excellent patient care from the doctor and staff! I could not recommend this office enough. I’m 34 and having going to Dr. Broess since the 2nd grade. There were some breaks in between after I completed my main treatment, but I needed to go back recently for a lost retainer. Some of the staff has been there since I first started and they recognized me right away. They are so kind and comforting, which mattered a lot when I was a child and still means a lot now. I am beyond happy with my experience with the staff in the Franklin, MA office as well as the Johnston, RI office. Both my girls had Dr Broess for braces and their teeth are amazing. Years later I talked to him about doing Invisalign for myself then into braces for two months for a quick adjustment and they turned out better than I thought. No one likes a visit to the dentist but after finding Friends and Family Dental the stress, anxiety and fear before an appointment has completely gone away for me. The staff here are AMAZING, educated, informative and they completely put you at ease upon your visit. Dr. Garber is excellent, caring and really aims for a positive client experience. The office is fresh, clean and has the best technology on the market. I had a tooth infection and was in the worst pain I have ever experienced in my life. I got right into the office and was taken care of instantly. I had my root canal with Dr. Burgner and Donna, they were excellent!! Donna was so comforting, calm and understanding she was constantly making sure I was as comfortable as possible. I felt instantly at ease with Dr. Burgner. He explained each step to me and made sure I was comfortable at all times. The root canal was a breeze and I seriously almost fell asleep in the chair. I had a cleaning done today with Janet, and out of the times i have been anywhere i have never had someone take the time to sit with me and describe everything to me, showing me x-rays, and pictures of my teeth and give me reassurance that i can walk away with a better feeling about my teeth. She doesn't make you feel so bad about yourself and honestly made me so comfortable tonight. Dr. Garber was also excellent, he stopped in after my x-rays, letting me know he would come back to talk about my treatment with me, when he did, i felt like a patient who was cared for. This was my first appointment. My original appointment was not scheduled for another 2 weeks I had called the office hoping to get in sooner as I am 30 weeks pregnant and I was in Excruciating pain from my wisdom tooth. They originally were going to get me in the next day but were able to squeeze me in the same day because I wasn't eating and the pain was so bad. I had a tooth that had cracked in half about a month ago. Life got in the way and I wasn’t able to make it into the dentist to take care of it. Not surprisingly the pain got worse and to a point that I couldn’t sleep and no amount of OTC meds were helping. I found Gentle Dental online and filled out the form and within a few hours the nicest woman called me back to set up an appointment for the following day. I was so nervous to go. I have not been keeping up on my dental health due to lack of insurance and didn’t know what to expect, but from the second I walked into the office I was set at ease! From the front desk to the hygienist to Dr Z ,I was made to feel so comfortable and was explained step by step what needed to be done. I ended up having my tooth extracted (and it was a big one!) and the procedure was literally completely painless. From someone that has avoided dentists for years because of embarrassment and fear of pain, this has been, by far, the best dental experience I have ever had. I still have no pain at all in the excision area a day later (and believe me…I’ve been bracing myself for it to come) thank you to the Seekonk team for this wonderful new beginning on my journey to better dental health! Beyond thankful for giving this office a try as I have some serious teeth issues and had 2 other opinions prior and wanted to check other options. Gentle Dental being my 3rd opinion and I was blown away by the staff all together and especially Dr. Ziegler…hope I spelt that correctly. He explains EVERYTHING and why things do what they do and what they effect and as well as all the options in details. Obviously my personal needs are much more difficult but I felt beyond comfortable even with anxiety and the amount of work I need done but he's compassionate, realistic, very patient, understanding and asks allot of questions and also answers any and all concerns and questions I had and with allot of detail. Honestly the best dentist I have ever gone too …. the lady dentist is cool she heard all my concerns and did my teeth justice filling and took her time to actually fill them correctly like a dentist should. This Office is more than a dentists office, from the moment you walk through the doors at arrowhead you are treated like family! Their great staff and very clean facility will leave you feeling relaxed and comfortable throughout any procedure. I really enjoy my biannual visits to Arrowhead Dental. The facility is spacious and clean with thoughtful interesting landscaping and sculpture. The staff are excellent. I always see Michelle for a thorough cleaning and inspection of my teeth. She keeps me well informed on how my teeth are doing and what I can do to keep them healthy. The technology is very modern and I’m amazed with the ability to get a clear view of all my teeth – even the far back ‘dark’ corners. My visit always end with a hot lavender-scented towel, a nice fine-bristle toothbrush, and tasty lip balm. Very nice!! Dr. Bruce Gouin gives a thorough inspection, is very pleasant and always asks if I have any questions. This is the best dentist I’ve been to. Everyone was so friendly and professional, especially the hygienist Catarina. She explained everything, made sure I was comfortable, and gave great tips on dental hygiene in a very kind, non-judgemental way. She also took the time to clean off some cement residue from my braces (I had been to two other dentists after getting my braces off and neither of them did this). It’s in a great setting with plenty of parking and there was a beautiful view of the water from my exam room. And I was able to get an appointment within a few days of calling while other places had nothing open till March. So I have been to this business for dental work twice this year. The first time because a piece of one of my back molars broke off while eating lunch and another time for a cleaning. This was my second time getting a root canal here and both times they finished in just over an hour. Dr. Harraji did both of these and the experience was perfect. She did an amazing job on them. When I went in for my first one root canal she noticed that a past root canal was infected. She didn't make me feel bad about it at all and she didn't push me to get the second one done. It was my decision and I really appreciated that. I just went back to the dentist after this long pandemic. I was able to get an appointment quickly. I have had chronic dental problems my entire life and have paid many dentists a lot of money over the years and no dental care I’ve ever received holds a candle to the care I received at Affordable Dentures. I made the appointment, somewhat begrudgingly, because I needed to find a local DDS (my usual dentist is a DMD and doesn’t perform surgical extractions.) I went for my consult and was blown away by how kind and patient everyone was. The receptionist Mandy is friendly and warm, the dental assistant was so kind and patient with me and the dentist himself, Dr. Tarek, is – hands down – the best dentist I’ve ever met. He is intelligent and knowledgeable but it’s his patience and bedside manner that mattered to me most and I immediately felt comfortable scheduling my surgical extraction with him. I have a dentist for the past 5 years that I can no longer see since I moved. I started to with a new dentist and sadly he had a very poor bedside manner and his prices were very high. I had a chipped tooth that needed to be dealt with immediately. After making a few calls I was squeezed in the next day with Dr. M, at the Cranston Dental Group. Who does that? No one does and to my amazement, Jeanne, Kylie, Heather, and Dr. M exceeded all of my expectations. I appreciated the treatment plan that was created for me. Dr. M was very good to give me options that I could decide from. Unlike my last dentist that completely ignored why I had gone there to begin with, Dr. M involved me in everything from the treatment plan to how much my insurance would cover and how much I would pay. Again this was all done in my first examination!! If you are looking for an average dentist and a stellar support staff this is not the place to go. If you are looking for an AMAZING DENTIST WITH A GREAT TEAM this is the place to go!!!Josh

I've been to this practice two times in recent years. On both occasions my visits were due to sudden dental issues that I needed resolved quickly. When a dentist rates 75 five star reviews out of 80 that is a red flag. This woman is a horrible person first, and dentist, second. She maliciously ruins people’s teeth in such a way that you don’t realize it until it’s too late. Overcharges for poor work, and altogether unprofessional and unskilled. I went in to see her for a broken crown. She told me I needed a root canal first. She recommended her own endodontist and I decided to go with a different, more affordable endodontist. Then the trouble began. After my crown was installed by her, the tooth became infected. I went to another dentist and was told she used temporary glue which caused the seal on the tooth to break and cause infection. This is after another crown she installed did the exact same thing. Beware of this person. She is vindictive, envious, and insecure, not to mention, very expensive, and dangerous. She has a large behind also. Dr. Karkalas is a new dentist for me as of only three weeks ago, and I have been extremely pleased. She is obviously very experienced, competent, and personable. Dentistry is not easy for me due to past bad experiences, but I feel comfortable and at ease with Dr. Karkalas. She appropriately diagnosed my need for a molar root canal for the last tooth under a crown for a fixed bridge, and sent me to a wonderful endodontist, who performed her root canal through the crown. I returned to Dr. Karkalas two days ago to have the tooth permanently closed, and so far all is well. I need to also mention that all of Dr. Karkalas’ staff that I have met so far are also wonderful. That includes Paula, Mary, and Dave. Mary went out of her way to get me into the endodontist quickly due to my pain and infection. I highly recommend Dr. Karkalas.Kathy

By far the best experience I’ve have with any dental office in Rhode Island. Long story short I work crazy schedule and getting my teeth fixed isn’t the first thing on my todo list until…. Yup my tooth broke. So I start calling around trying to find an appointment some where, I must have called like 7 places. Then I stumble on this gem of a place. After my first call I spoke with Shannon and SaraBeth I got an appointment within a couple days. Everywhere else I called it was MONTHS before I could get seen. They got me right in scheduled my next three appointments and even text me to remind me! Dr Lena is awesome fixed my broken tooth and made sure it was perfect. It would be very easy to give far higher than a 5 star review for Dr. Lena Miroshnichenko and Leah. They are a dream team! I had been having trouble with a tooth that ultimately required a root canal and crown for months and it was only when I went to Dr. Lena that I truly realized just how incompetant my previous dentist was. Dr. Lena and Leah work so well togeter, kept me informed about the process, and their confidence and knowedge made me so much more at ease. I have been going to the same dentist for as long as I have had teeth to be cleaned. Over 40 years. I had been searching for a new dental office as the one I had for all of those years had changed drastically. After a decision to leave I was referred to Dental Associates of RI. I have to say Sue was wonderful and Dr. Udeshi was just as nice. I loved everything about this office, from the atmosphere to the employees to the Animal Rescue they support and have posted on their wall. My entire family is making the switch.Kimberly Fico

My 8yr old was referred to this office for an emergency tooth extraction after his 6month cleaning at our family dentist. The experience could not have been better for both of us! They got us into their office less than 2hrs from his cleaning appt and we were in/out in about 45mins with infected tooth out! They also were able to get him in for another procedure he needs within same week which is great! Highly recommend them to anyone needing a dentist for their children. This is the second dentist I have been too. What I think is so great about them is my son is hard some days and great other days and they work with him so well. I was nervous choosing my daughters dentist , it’s her first time (1.5 year old). They were awesome !! We were in and out , everyone was so kind and welcoming. Down to the receptionist everyone was super kind ! I am honestly so happy with choosing them as my daughters dentist and I come all the way from Johnston ! This is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a dental office! And that’s saying something because my Father was a dentist and ever since he passed away I’ve had trouble finding a good dentist who was compassionate and actually cares for the patient. Firstly, the front desk staff is extremely nice and polite. The hygienist who cleaned my kids teeth was very sweet and made the kids feel really comfortable. She did a great job explaining to the kids how they should brush their teeth and they each got a little prize after their cleaning, which always helps kids like a place. And finally the Doctor was a very personable, gentle and kind person. You can tell she takes good care of her patients. My daughter who is very shy and really hates doing new things because she’s easily scared, had no problem at all here which was such a relief for me. I highly recommend this place! 100%G K

I was referred to Aesthetic Dental Studio of RI due to the fact that this establishment is understanding and accommodating to one’s mental health. I was very anxious upon arriving and while being seen, and without having to say much Maria the wonderful woman who was taking care of my cleaning for the day was very empathic towards my feelings. She explained the entire procedure to make me feel more comfortable and be aware of what to expect. All though this establishment isn’t in network with my insurance, I rather pay the extra out of pocket cost to go to an establishment that takes great care of their patients.alyssa luis

Although I was extremely apprehensive and nervous in all aspects and in all dimensions prior to my first visit ( mainly due to the fact that I was away from dental cleaning and regular checkups for quite sometime), I immediately felt so comfortable , and all dental practitioners ( all administrative staff members, dental hygienist, X-Ray technicians, not to mention, doctors) were extremely competent , efficient, showed professionalism in the truest sense with dignity, integrity, passion, solid work ethics, just to name several. I have been a patient of Dr. Ronnie Du for the past eight +years and have been extremely satisfied with all of the dental services she has provided me with which have included fillings , crowns, tooth bondings and numerous cleanings done by her skilled hygienists. Last week I had my teeth cleaned by Cleo , a hygyientist of Dr. Du, She did an outstanding and pain free job as well as giving me helpful advice about flossing and taking care of my teeth. All of the work Dr. Du has done for me has been done correctly the first time around and has stood the test of time👍! If the dentist makes you nervous this is the place for you. I called the day before my appointment to ask some questions about my root canal and Kathy took her time and explained to me the whole procedure and my options should I go a different route. On top of that they always answer the phone or text messages and are accessible which is so convenient. That office is busy but you are always the priority. THAT is a good care AND good business which is not easy to achieve. They are so calming and accommodating. The Drs are amazing and the rest of the staff go above and beyond to provide excellent care. They made sure to help me feel safe and comfortable in the oh so intimidating dental chair. They never made me feel judged for being nervous and were extremely patient with me. Please don’t forget to thank them even though it’s their job— it’s really an act of service to help people with dental care. Get to the dentist regularly for check ups to avoid the big procedures! I’m now passionate about this as I have avoided the dentist for years but never will again after this excellent experience. Initially came to Dr.Du for jaw pain on my left side. In the process discovered I had an infected molar and needed a root canal. As a grown adult who FEARS dentist, Dr. DU and her team couldn’t have been more caring and reassuring. I had a deep cleaning with Sam and was kept throughly informed by Kathy on appointments and cost. Special thanks to Booma, Melanie and Sam who all made by care very smooth and somewhat painless (Sam was bit rough but worth it lol). Grateful to be able to chew from both sides pain free again! Do not go here. I was told I have an overbite (I don’t) and needed Invisalign because otherwise a tooth would break, 4 crowns and root canals. I switched dentists and none of that was true. The crown i got last year probably wasn’t even needed I just wish I switched sooner. I also have to have a filling that was done in December fixed not even a year later because they did a horrible job. They billed my insurance for two exams even though I only had one this year so I had to pay out of pocket at my new dentist. They are very nice but just want to charge you as much as possible for things you do not need. At least the one dentist I went to there does. Do not go to Dr.MaJamie Tremblay

The Gentle Dental Stoughton office is great! I love going there. I go there every 6 months for my cleaning, check up and x-rays. Very professional staff. And I love my hygienist Shannon. She is the sweetest and gentlest person. She has a great sense of humor while she’s examining and cleaning your teeth. Cassy, not sure I spell the name correctly front desk, was very helpful and patiently answered my questions and concerns. And patiently explained all the expenses I need to pay after insurance.
