4 Best Dental Assistant Programs In Little Rock, AR (2022 Updated)

The past 10 weeks at Little Rock School of Dental Assisting have been 10 weeks that I will remember forever.. It has been such an incredible experience. RACHAEL, CHARLA AND MEGHAN are truly wonderful at what they do. I am extremely thankful to each of them for taking the time to teach each one of us everything that is necessary to be successful as dental assistant. I absolutely enjoyed these 10 weeks and met some of the most amazing people I have ever came across. Definitely a place where you will learn and have fun while learning. I absolutely recommend doing the program. It's easy if you stay focused throughout the 10 weeks. A wonderful hands on experience!Suylen Chavira

My last day at this wonderful school is on Friday and i am so so sad to leave all of my new friends and my awesome teachers! It’s amazing how close we became in just 10 short weeks! I always felt encouraged, supported and loved! All of our hard work has paid off! It’s bittersweet to part on Friday but i know that each of us are ready to crush it! I can’t thank my teachers enough for the hard work and effort they put in as well! They really care as long as you’re willing to do your part as well! THIS IS THE BEST PROGRAM. I was weary about starting a career in dental assisting, but thankfully i did and chose APEX. I even landed a job before finishing school in March. I learned so much and got a lot of hands on experience within the 10 weeks of going to school. A big Shout Out to Charla for being the BEST instructor! The teachers to me are awesome and willing to work with you if you have questions don't be afraid to ask because they will get you an answer. Ms. Lamb is one of the best. So let me rant. The school has issues a few which they addressed immediately so that was a plus. But omg supplies we never have any how are we supposed to be successful in phlebotomy and don't have anything to practice with. They want you to have so many sticks but no equipment to do so. If they get the structure of the school together and also get the right amount of supplies to accommodate students it will be a little better. Also they need to have a week where you can have volunteers come to get blood drawn because the other students don't want to participate. ( They will eventually need people to volunteer for them as well.)Ronnesha Jones

I would have to say this is one of the most unprofessional unorganized schools ever! Teachers came and went when I was there. Only a handful truly care! Jade has been a God send in all of this mess, but I would recommend if you can go to another program please do it! Graduation was supposed to be in August and then postponed until October and now October is here and can take a photo or anything in caps and gowns, proper preparation would have avoid this, but the school is just like well your working and have a diploma so oh well! I Had an awesome experience at eastern I completed both programs dental assistant and medical assistant… But I didn't know that's eastern wasn't CODA accredited.. BC my mother passed away and I was unable to reinstate my dental assistant license bc I was out of town for a month I wasn't thinking straight at that time…. I feel like that was money and time wasted on the dental program..but now I'm working in a Laboratory which I love…Chantell Hughes

This school was honestly a waste of time, money, and strain on ones mental health. I always felt like I was not enough and was constantly belittled, especially by one of the assistants who helped run it. On three separate occasions I was also pushed/had my wrist grabbed by this lady as she didn't feel the need to treat me the way she treated some of the other students. For each weeks tests, not all materials were always provided which left me not knowing any better because we were all new. The drama in the place is also worse than any public high school. Many employers I've talked to agreed that they would rather train up their own people instead of sending them here. I've spoken to another person from my graduating class and she felt the same way. On a week that the director was absent, a screaming fight about politics, which is never appropriate for any school setting. Upon signing up, you have to fill out a legally binding contract as well. At the completion of the course, you are bribed into giving the school a five star review in exchange for bonus points. A plus side is that class sizes are small, but 40% of mine dropped pit due to several factors that take place here. It's been a long time and many have not found placements due to not being properly trained.Samantha Stewart
