She was at the point where it told her she had to pay the $30 application fee to continue. So she did but never did anything after that. Then she decided she wants to go to a different School instead. I've been calling the admission office shortly after that. I've left messages on what this is regarding n NO calls back until Nov 25th from April in admission. I still have the VM. I've called back n again left a message. To this day (March 25), I still haven't heard back n I've been calling!! I finally called the school itself not admission n the lady said. I'm sorry since she started the admission you don't get your money back!! What a waist of my time n I don't feel this is right. If a child NEVER finished the application!!! The teachers for the most part are great. Student center and student billing either need to communicate better between them and the student or need new people in there over all. I’ve had issues since summer of 2018 with bad communication from them. I had 3 different advisors in less than a 2 semester span. Got scheduled into a class where the clinicals conflicted with the other classes I had. Got denied dropping that class but was not emailed or called about the denial. Found out about it when I was scheduling fall classes. Finally got it approved after the fact of all that mess and it messing with my financial aid. Oh but on top of it all, I would call student billing get no response back for so long (continued to rack up late fees due to no response back) I sent them 2 emails but not response back for days. They never actually looked into my account until I drove 35-40 minutes to find out why they said I can’t make online payments (even though I literally made one the month before) and comes to find out another mistake was made on with my account and I can make online payments. That’s not all, I had a $100 late fee put onto my account before it was even past due (and it wasn’t past due considering I made a payment). The communication is not good. I have had an amazing experience with Herzing University! I am excelling in my degree choice and I couldn't be more satisfied with my learning experience and the flexibility that the online program gives me.The instructors are all willing to help whenever I have a question, and if they see many students struggling with something, they will post an announcement with some helpful tips on how to proceed through our courses. The learning material is easy to understand, the discussion boards really help me connect with my classmates more than I normally would, the library is full of everything you might need for your studies, and the Coach rooms and Tutoring center are very helpful! I have seen many posts off and on about how students struggled in this school. I have to say the most common thing I see students struggling from in these courses is not doing the assigned work on time, not participating in the discussions, and not following the assigned directions on assignments. We have to take responsibility and do our work (on time!) or we will not succeed, and we should not blame someone else for our lack of trying. Just with everything else in life, if you do not put any effort into something, you will not gain anything from it. At that time, school was still establishing itself, therefore, I had some rough time getting through the program, but overall my experience was good. I am in my sixth week taking online courses at MATC. I have chosen the IT Support Associate Degree program, for two reasons: One the program is only two years, I’ll be able to launch into the job market faster, and because IT is such a diverse, and fast growing career path, I know I will find a fit into the IT world upon graduation. I chose MATC because MATC is convenient and conventional. I can take classes online, at my own pace, and be on campus for the classes I need more focus and dedication to. This IT program combined with my 10 plus years customer service experience, I know I will be able to reach any career goal I set. Now, while my interest in computers and knack for problem solving I know this career path will be suitable for me, however, to any prospective student looking for a quick money type of career, this program is not for you. This program consists of lots of physical and mental work, also taking consideration of the customers you are serving. If a prospective student welcomes challenges and is comfortable with asking questions and not feeling intimidated by the mass amount of information you will retain then this is a program for you. Prospective students should also be aware that they don’t have to work or figure stuff out alone, one of my favorite accommodations is having access to tutoring, whether online or in person- at all campuses. Fellow future students should also know that acquiring their degree at MATC is a smart money move, students can save thousands of dollars getting their education here, as opposed to a four year college/university. My experience in MATC IT Computer Support Specialist program is limited but good so far. I chose to pursue this degree because it lines up well with my current work experience and career goals. So far, I have been able to take all my classes online with no scheduled class times, so I can complete assignments at my own pace without interfering with my work schedule. Thomas Moore High School is a private, co-ed, prep college high school located on the southside of Milwaukee (in the town of Saint Francis.) The school offers some of the most technologically advanced classes in the area including robotics. Beginning in 2007 all students were equipped with laptops at the start of the semester. The school has an unusual history that is evidenced in the two halves of the building itself. Thomas Moore was born out of the merger of two other private high schools (Don Bosco and Pio Nono) in 1972. The building had been the Pio Nono high school campus prior to the merger. In 1870, Pio Nono College was established (on this site). It was a college to train teachers. Then in 1923 the school became a boarding and day high school. This lasted until 1941 when it was converted to Saint Francis de Sales seminary which remained in the building until taking up new residence in 1963. In 1965, the school reopened as Pio Nono High School and was an all male, prep college high school. In the early 70’s Don Bosco high school and Saint Mary’s (an all girls school) were merged into Pio Nono and the school was renamed Thomas Moore.Dave Shapiro

Great school! The administration and teachers are all very nice. The college prep curriculum may sound challenging but the school works around your learning habits. You'll never be thrown into a class where you are not understanding it because you don't know the prerequisites. Councilors are assigned to every student and work with them their whole high school career. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM is an adult learning extension of UW Milwaukee that has brought learning experiences to many intellectually curious senior citizens in the greater Milwaukee area. It differentiates itself from other adult learning activities by the breadth of topics, the active participation in the organization by over 100 volunteers, the caliber of the presenters, and the continued pursuit of excellence through surveys of members and evaluation of the classes offered. The high caliber of the organization is reflected in its rapid adoption of virtual teaching made necessary by the COVID pandemic. The Institute didn't miss a beat in moving to a virtual platform. It has the technical expertise and member dedication to pull that off almost seamlessly. Synergy is truly a team of people who have provided great help and have acted with humility and grace with home-matters; especially during the uniquely challenging time of this pandemic. I really cannot say enough good things about Synergy Home Care. My 90 year old Dad had a stroke, and after living on his own very successfully, we suddenly needed home care. Ruth, the owner, talked with me first time for more than 30 minutes on a Sunday morning. I was sitting in the hospital parking lot, feeling lost, confused and worried about what we were going to do to help my dad. Without selling Synergy specifically, she patiently walked me through what my Dad's care options could look like. Gave me several ideas on supplementing the costs, etc. It was a life changer. I started travel nursing for the first time this past October with Premier Medical Staffing. My recruiter is Sarah Koeppel, and although I don’t have another recruiter to compare her to, I would have to say she is very easy to work with. She is a “go-getter” in that she seeks out new recruits and does whatever she can to ensure a good fit between traveler and hospital. She keeps your requests in mind and fights to get good rates , raises, and good contract terms for her recruits. She responds quickly if you have questions or concerns. I didn’t know what to expect working with a travel agency, but so far, I have no complaints. Anyone looking to have a loved one placed into hospice should visit with Eastcastle Place, 1st or last, and make their own assessment. The 4th floor (Hospice) where my mother was located was clean, quiet and didn't smell like most nursing homes. The staff is attentive and compassionate everyday, not just those days I visited my mother. A truly inspirational group. And when there were issues, the team corrected the the problem quickly. I was very pleased. The room was more than adequate for my mother's needs. The food was good and treats were provided routinely, even cut flowers. Placing a loved one into a nursing home isn't easy; however, Eastcastle affords you that piece of mind that your loved one is getting the best care possible in their last days / months of their life. I think that this place is pretty great… I have spent a lot of time here over the past year in both memory care as well as with the Independent and assisted living portions of the campus as a student artist in residence as somewhat of a community member/ but also borderline staff member?. has been a fun and enriching experience. The community really values the arts – they are involved in the program that I came in through where they house and/or work closely with a student artist to enrich community life. There is a writers group, knitting group, creativity center, etc. Residents all have good stories to tell and seem to really enjoy life. Eastcastle Place took excellent care of my mother during her rehab. All the staff from reception, to nurse, to caretaker, to food delivery everyone (and I mean everyone) took such care in everything they did with my mom. I didn't ever have an issue with communication, anytime I needed someone they responded quickly. My mom was never happier (other than having to be there lol) anything she requested she received. I have listed the Mission, Vision and Core Values for MATC below for everyone's review when considering the type of organization this is. I followed a link for registration (single class) and ended up at the online registration form. I completed the form and paid the $30 fee only to then realize that the registration was for an entire program, not an individual class. I called to ask for a refund of the fee (because it was made in error). I was told by Admissions over the phone that they would not refund the $30 fee AND THAT THIS TYPE OF ERROR HAPPENS ALL THE TIME AND THEY DON'T REFUND FEES PAID IN ERROR!!!! This must be the ethical part listed below in the core values. If this is happening all the time….do you think there might be a problem with your online registration instructions?! It certainly does not seem like MATC follows their own Mission, Vision or Values when dealing with the community. I haven’t even started a class yet but I can tell you that the financial aid team is quit rude and unhelpful. I turned in a application months ago and didn’t find out that my application wasn’t turned in because I needed to verify information until I called about the status of it a month later. It is now a week until class payment deadline and still nothing. I called and the lady was very snooty and said I’ll find out when they contact me and refused to give anymore insight. Wow. UPDATE: I was notified that I was de-registered from my classes because of no payment. Even though when I was previously on the phone with the financial aid office the lady assured me that I would not be dropped from my classes even though it would go past the payment deadline. So I had to re-register for classes(that were luckily not all filled yet), wait on the phone for 25 minutes and talk to another person in the office about my situation. It really just seems like this department takes peoples education as a joke or something. The fact that I’ve sat on the phone over five times now and received different information every time, obviously you guys need to come together and go over how to communicate with the students. Especially for first year students, I have no idea how financial aid works. I had the belief that it would have processed through way before the class payment deadline. I chose this degree, because I like the idea of being able to stay with technology as it grows. Seems that if you are not tech ready, you may not survive in the net generation to come. Kids use all type of technical devices, so I want to make sure I can keep up with them and the world. I selected the program because MATC provides an array of options and it is affordable. Credits are transferrable and saves a few dollars for the pocket. There are many surrounding business that hire students from MATC and are just as competitive as any other student and schools. I am taking an online course and the classes are offered throughout the day and not just a certain time of the day, going online provides flexibility for someone like myself who works and has a busy active family. If you are looking for a school that allows you to be study on your own time and continue your every day activities, MATC offers a great program and study options. I really like that the curriculum and professors take the time to teach students, even providing hands on you tube videos and videos. Customer service in several departments needs to be improved! When trying to register for classes two separate times the computers did not work. Each time I was there (at least 3 separate occasions) each department didn’t know when the department next to them was open. “Oh, just walk over there and check.” How can they not know when the bookstore is open or the registrar or the other service areas? Also the bookstore has zero customer service. They will not help you find what you need for class unless you have a printout. Are they not on the same computer system? Why can’t they look up your schedule? Another thing is when registering for class in July you cannot get parking passes, ids, books, etc for the fall session because they don’t have them available! “Come back a week or two before classes start.” What? These are the people that are in charge of teaching others? By streamlining and organizing the MATC Mequon campus it would save tax payers money and future students time!!Jena Schneider

The reason that I chose MATC IT Computer Support, was to gain a better understanding of the IT world. What I like about information technology is that it is not stagnant. It is constantly evolving and getting better, faster and innovative. For me, this is more for personal growth than career motivated. However, you never know where something like this can lead you. I really enjoy the instructors and the way that the classes are taught. Being an online student, sometimes life can get in the way, but so far, the instructors have been very accommodating with any work or family challenges that occur. We live in a very large apartment building filled with many seniors vetrans and disabled people. They aare so kind compassionate people. HONESTLY WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had to reschedule a class and it took 3 hours for them to even figure out how to do it, plus, I was put on hold every 10 min. The ONLY reason I am giving them two stars instead of a lower rating is Tony in PT. He actually went out of his way to assist my mother in her healing after her knee replacement. The ward clerk was nice and helpful too. That being said, if you love and care for your family member I would not consider this an unacceptable option for rehab. The food is not edible and often recycled from other meals. They will tell you this is Jewish cooking but I have friends and family who are Jewish, kosher, and excellent cooks. To say the food is bad because it is “Jewish cooking” is an insult to all Jews and a lovely culture with a rich culinary history. The communication between nursing and supervisors is questionable too. My mother did not feel well and when I asked to speak to a supervisor she could not be located. I had to go to the security desk and have them find her and request that she speak with me. Not until the next day when I spoke to the nurse United Health provides through insurance did we figure out that my mother as likely suffering from dehydration! I still doubt anyone at the facility has figured that out. Orders from the doctor were largely not looked at. They didn’t have appropriate wound dressings (I had to go to Walgreens and buy some) and ice, which was specified in doctors orders, was not provided until I demanded that they do so. In short, had she not been well enough to go home I would have moved her to a different facility because the level of care was just not there at Ovation.Ana Brokmeier

I had a family member here for rehab after an orthopedic surgery and was appalled at the neglegence I witnessed. The staff all behave as if they are overworked and unable to handle their responsibilities. There are alarms going off all the time and no one answers them. I finally went to investigate and found it was people paging the nurses desk and no one was there to pick up the phone! I about went crazy with the beeping and I was only there 3 hours at a time (my relative had to endure it a week!). The food is terrible, which is not unexpected over shabbat. I also found out after 3 days of my relative acting increasing more painful that the nursing staff had been witholding pain medication (with the excuse that he hadn't directly asked for it). This is completely unacceptable in a nursing situation where older people get dementia and don't know what's happening around them to ask for something they think is scheduled already. In the dining hall, I saw othet people blatently ignored when asking for basic things like coffee (instead of gently reminding them dairy must be taken in the room). Luckily my family member was not there long, but I feel empathy for anyone who does have to stay there permanently. I would go insane if I was under hospice there. This center needs to seriously reprioritize their policies.Lara

I can't say enough wonderful things about the Jewish Home & Care Center. A place that truly cares and goes above and beyond to see that my mother is cared for in every aspect of her recovery. As a team they are well coordinated and professional, while yet being very compassionate and caring. Coupled with the wonderful care and staff is the setting of the facility itself. Beautiful place overlooking the lake viewed through wide-open windows. Without end are the activities and programs set-up for loved ones. The food is fabulous as well. I choose IT Support as a career because of my curiosity of technology, it’s something I always been interested in for a long period of time now. I discovered that an IT Support Specialist is needed now a days especially with numerous remote from home jobs and it’s constantly expanding. So technology became a way a life for continuous growth, devolvement and opportunities. I found out that MATC have a good IT program for students that can further your curiosity and experience in the field of technical growth. The program will help me become certificated in certain things related-to in the pursuit of attaining a degree. Certain things I like about the IT program is that you become very knowledgeable in Windows operating system and MacOS. MATC (West Allis) and (Oak Creek) campuses are both a good environment for studying and having hands on experiences.C- Power

My experience in MATC IT Computer Support Specialist program have been great so far. I chose MATC because they offer bilingual curses for Spanish speakers. What I like about Information Technology is that I will be able to help people if they have problems with their computer or network. This programs are going to help me become an IT Professional and reach my career goals by learning about complex inner working of computers and networks. They also offer you jobs related with IT Support Program. Positive – I had a bittersweet experience at WCTC. As a honor student graduate of the Human Services program, I thought my instructors were excellent on that subject, particularly Lisa Walz. Additionally, my time spent in practicum was eye-opening and informative – as it should be. I thoroughly loved my major and felt teachers that were passionate and experienced in the field gave great real-life advice, especially the aforementioned Lisa Walz, Debra Farrington, Jason Witt, Trisha Wollin, and Carin Anick-Quinones. In addition to my Associate Degree, I also obtained certification in Developmental Disabilities and Youth Care Counseling. These have proven to be helpful transfer credits for my BA and soon towards my MA as well. The campus itself is a pleasant atmosphere for learning and I made some lasting friendships and resourceful contacts along the way. Negative – During my education I was pregnant and I was met with some hostility/prejudice. I had my child at the end of my Fall 15/16 semester and had to come in person to finish my "Math with Apps" exam, while the instructor was excellent in working with me – the person in the library (who I only had met to hand me my exam and did not catch his name) was rude and told me that he didn't think it was right that I be able to finish my course this way. I was just kind of dumb-founded, took my exam, passed with flying colors, and snuggled up with my babies. There was also another instructor, Dr. Mike Melnick who did not allow me to leave his class to use the restroom despite being as pregnant as I was. He felt it was unfair to the other students. There was one incident at the end of the semester where I was sick (and still pregnant) and he had no tissues in his classroom. He would not let me leave and instead gave me a cloth that looked eerily similar to a breastfeeding cloth to wipe my nose with.Meg Goodlad

Long story short. I was dropped off at the college center (the front building of the campus) and the 2 students who I waved at, to ask directions to the ‘S’ building deliberately started walking fast et and turned the corner. I ran into a janitor that gave me directions to the ‘S’ building with no issues I walk in to the ‘S’ building at 7:01pm And asked a group of woman where the victim impact panel program was being held and they pointed to a door. I knock on the door after checking and noticing they were all locked. (7:03 on the clock) An old white man late 70’s sitting down facing the door just shook his head at me. Then an older lady about the same age came to the door and told me to leave. I pleaded with her and told her I don’t have a car and nobody gave me directions when I got here She just refused to listen to me and shut the door in my face in the whole I was talking. I was 3 mins late and they wouldn’t let me in a program I paid to be into. And I was 3 minutes late. By the Ik when someone is acting different cause the color Of my skin. I have been happy with WCTC as a student. WCTC has a surprisingly diverse student body. I really enjoy being able to take classes online. I was worried about the accelerated schedule for my program but it has been great. Canvas is straightforward and easy to use. I have yet to meet an instructor who is not invested in my success. The campus is easy to navigate and offers nice student amenities. The college also offers resume writing assistance, free healthcare services, plenty of internship opportunities with local employers, and transfer agreements with great four year schools. Some downsides are some class schedules are not released until the week the class starts. I have not been able to get help with an updated plan for scheduling classes at all beyond my original plan. You will receive an annoying amount of spam/phishing emails and fake job offers. I regret not going back to school sooner! I hope this review helps.Christopher K
