Review Summary
7-14-22….I can't begin to express the Excellent service that has been provided by Aqua Home Health. Chelsea has been dynamic to work with especially since we were left in a bind with another company who stopped coming with no warning and no calls to us on July 3rd. Chelsea assured me that she would get it covered and have someone there on July 4th, and she did. That is Integrity! Also a shout out to Mike, Thank you, and Thank you to the ladies that came and are still coming. If you are reading this post and are on the fence as you are not sure who to use, I highly suggest you deal with a company that specializes in Home Health only, like Aqua, and are not involved in multiple other services. This is Aqua's specialty, Home Health Care.Steve Law
I recommend Aqua Home Care and Chelsea and her team wholeheartedly. Chelsea has been professional and caring from the outset and she follows-up right away with the almost daily concerns that my family faces. She is always ready to help problem-solve issues as they arise and she even lets us know what we can expect going forward. Her team of caregivers are friendly and kind and always have smiles on their faces and carry on in spite of the challenges they face.Thank you to this remarkable agency, staff, and caregivers and the safe services they always provide and especially now with COVID-19!Rusti Berent
We have been working with Aqua Home Care for several months and have been very satisfied. Chelsea made a home visit and assessed our needs to determine the best caregivers to send. She is very concerned that the person in your home is “the right fit” for you and your family member. She is accessible anytime, very pleasant and helpful and genuinely cares. We had a not so good experience with another agency in the past but that is NOT the case with Aqua. We are happy to recommend them.Laura Kennedy

Review Summary
I am writing this review to help others that may be in as difficult a position as I was some months ago when I needed to find 24/7 in-home care for my elderly mother and her husband after they both suffered health related issues that left them unable to care for themselves. My daughter and I vetted multiple home-health care agencies, and ultimately chose Aqua and it has proven to be an excellent choice. They were able to quickly and efficiently put a caregiving team together. I was very new to this process, and Chelsea in particular has been an invaluable resource for me – she is kind, extremely knowledgeable, and VERY patient. I had many many questions initially, and she answered them with ease. When issues did arise, she dealt with them swiftly and professionally. In addition, Carmen in billing/accounting has been very helpful as well. She too has been very patient and kind, especially with some logistical issues that arose. She did some creative problem solving and quickly resolved a situation unique to our billing. Of utmost importance, my mother and her husband are very grateful for the competent and caring attention they receive from their caregivers.Suzy Rappaport
Aqua home care has been assisting me with my needs for more than a year now. They have been very accommodating and done a wonderful job they have accommodated me in every way that I needed.their people have been terrific I have not had a bad experience with any of their employees they’ve all been wonderful. My medical condition has improved and I no longer need the assistance and I know a lot of that has to do with the care that I got from Aqua if you need them don’t hesitate to call. Thanks to Jackie Will Michelle and Carmen and everybody else who works there.Dj Smith
Aqua home care placed a wonderful caregiver Delores, who was with my mom until her dying day. The support from when I called, I was met with professionalism and speed. Two things that I needed after learning my mother needed 24/7 care, that I could not provide. The caregiver assigned Dolores was nothing short of an angel! She and I will continue to have a friendship. I knew I could trust my mothers care to Delores and that let me sleep at night. Please consider Aqua home care if you’re need any caregiving . I would recommend and used them again in a heartbeat.Ashley S

Review Summary
My mom , due to dementia, was suddenly and surprisingly no longer able to live independently. She was living in Florida and my brother and I were not. I'm not sure how we found Comfort Keepers but we are 100% grateful we did. They have been extraordinary. We were able to arrange 24/7 care with them. And then when we moved into an assisted living facility, they continued to come in each morning to help get mom up and oriented for the day. And during COVID they continued to visit and keep mom company each morning. Dementia / Alzheimers is an awful experience. We are ever-thankful for the constantly consistent care and concern Comfort Keepers provided us. Thank you.Steve Gatter
My elderly aunt had become frail and we live quite a way from her so we needed a local in-home carer to look after her. We dealt with Debbie who was really helpful and we appreciated the advice she gave. We are now using Comfort Keepers services and it gives us peace of mind living so far from Aunt Vi. We have only been using their services for 3 months but everyone, including Aunt Vi, is pleased with the level of care and consideration given. Thank you.Alex Crosky
I have been around Comfort Keepers employees in the past as a health care provider. When my dad became ill and I needed help caring for him I knew exactly who to call. Comfort Keepers of North Palm Beach has provided excellent in home care for my dad. The office staff is friendly and professional and the caregivers are very clearly CARE givers. They were prompt, courteous and kind. I can’t thank you enough! Diane Hill Jupiter, Fl.Diane Hill

Review Summary
Beware, run don’t walk away from them. My mother was assaulted by a home health aide this Summer. After being given the run around, we filed a complaint with them and their alleged investigation concluded that it’s my mother’s word against the lies of the aide. I regret not reporting this to police. Another aide told my mother that “she’s old and should just sit down and be quiet.” A non-English speaking aide was sent to us once, and we had to turn her away as we did not speak her language. Mind you, English is our language. Left message for agency and no one got back to us. We went two days without an aide. Some aides are late, by up to an hour, and still leaves without putting in their full amount of work hours for the day. Administrative staff (coordinators) are curt and often don’t return calls. This is bad business.web of gold
Being a f Harbor Care client has been a great experience. Everyone who works there has been so wonderful, helpful, and compassionate. Alexis, HR Manager runs an excellent department. While I have only been working for your company for a short time, I would say your answering service needs work. I just tried calling a few minutes ago to speak to the coordinator of my patient and was given a hard time even though I gave the extension for the person whom I wanted to speak too. I also called there to let my coordinator know I was taking a day off. I was never transferred over to speak to the coordinator to let him know and your answering representative kept answering the phone even after I put in my extintion. However I did leave a message but my coordinator never received it. Instead of your answering service asking so many questions as to what it's in regards too or what my phone number is I feel that unless I am asking person on the other line to take a message, they have no business asking me so many questions when I wanted to speak to the coordinator directly about a patient.Laila Muhammad
Musfiqur Amar Rahman was extremely helpful in assisting me in setting up home health care for my sister. He is always available by phone and immediately responds to my calls. He is both knowledgeable and patient. Please consider him for accolades. He is so qualified because of his friendly demeanor. I remain a very happy and satisfied customer.Marcia Coogan
I am so glad I reached out to this company. I was so confused on how, where or even when to get started on my parents long term home care. Amar was helpful and put my mind and nerves at ease. He took care of every single thing from the beginning. He was also knowledgeable of the plans and which one I should choose for better care. Thank youNatalie Edwards

Review Summary
FreedomCare has its pros and cons. I love the fact that I’m able to care for my mom but there are other companies that offer the same services with higher pay. I have been with the company a little over a month now and am still trying to setup direct deposit although I sent all the proper information. I was also offered classes at intake so I can learn how to better care for my patients and every time I inquire about the classes I get a run around or simply no response. I’ve tried reaching my assigned coordinator but am always unsuccessful. Schedule change is a hassle being that we can never get someone on the phone to assist. The staff and polite but not very helpful. Overall freedomcare provides opportunities they help you care for a loved one and refer other clients who are in need of care.Lydia Aybar
By far THE WORSE CDPAP PROGRAM EVER! As a patient of Freedomcare they hard extremely hard to get in contact with when I need to express my concerns and needs. My home health aide couldn’t get the help she needed with her timesheets, YES I SAID TIMESHEET(s) not one but many of them that Freedomcare refused to help with which resulted in missed paychecks. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON FREEDOMCARE!Courtney Santiago

For the past 7 months, my good friend and neighbor was under the care of the Home Instead Senior Care Agency professionals. This agency provided ultimate care to an elderly gentleman that was quite set in his way, yet, they knew how to assist him and made him joyful during the last few months on this earth. The professionalism, dedication and overall care provided by each caregiver and the overall administration at Home Instead Senior Care in Port St Lucie, exceeded all my expectations of caregiving. As my friend’s health care surrogate, I was extremely pleased as to the delivery of care. Each Caregiver and the Administration provided a Peace of Mind, 24/7. Thank you to all of you at Home Instead Senior Care for bringing sunshine to my friend’s life. If you have a loved one in need of care – give Home Instead Senior Care at Port St. Lucie a call. Thank God for Patrica Strickland and her team of dedicated professionals including Kimberly Lebel at Home Instead in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Their dedication, compassion and prompt communication has made for all the difference in improving the quality of life for my cousin Lee. Lee is recovering from an insulin pump malfunction that resulted in a severe heart attack. After several months in the hospital and in a skilled nursing facility he was able to return to an independent life style in his home in Florida. None of this would have been possible without the care provided by the Home Instead professionals. God bless all of you for your dedication and hard work. You have my 100 % endorsement and highest recommendation.Andrew Mount
Home instead is the second agency I have been with since I turned 70 and they are everything I was told they would be. They are top-of-the-line. My aide, Beth, is a gift from God, and I do not know what or how I would survive without her. She is the energizer bunny, wrapped up in a 5 foot tall package of a wonderful woman. She watches over me like a mother hen and even though she is that close to me most of the time, I have managed to fall three times this month. That is not good for me or my physical well-being.. I never go out without her, and she is never more than inches away from me when we leave the front door.Robert Giardino

Review Summary
Since Alcadia from Comfort Keepers came into our household my life has completely changed. I was extremely stressed out being the only caregiver for my husband. Now the best part of my day is when Alli, as we call her, is here. She is a quick learner and knows the workings of my house as well as I do. Seeing my husband let Alli do things for him that was only my job before makes my life so much easier. Alli has years of experience and on many occasions has taught me how to do things differently, making it so much easier. My thanks to Comfort Keepers and all their staff. It has been so easy to work with them. And thank you for sending us Alli. I can't imagine my life without her.Loretta Dvorak
Janet and Comfort Keepers were a God send to us. The love and care that Janet showed my father was unbelievable. She treated him like family and we will always consider her as family. She brought him treats, games to play and spent endless hours listening to him tell stories. Many times he told the same stories over and over, but she listened like it was the first time she had heard it. Denise at Comfort Keepers is so compassionate and caring. She has called to check on our family multiple times before and after my dad passed away. We will always be eternally grateful for them. If you are looking for compassionate and loving care, look no further than Comfort Keepers.melanie reid
We have used Comfort Keepers in Vero Beach twice. One time being long term and the other for only a few days. Both times we needed Comfort Keepers it was immediately and they came right away. Everyone we have met has been professional, trained and showed up on time. One of the things I look for when someone will be taking care of dad is how they interact with him and if they like their job. Comfort Keepers in Vero Beach staff is at the top of my list over any other agency I have used, because of the dignity, respect and skill they have used with my father. I am very thankful for them.Jean Marie Jourdain

I would give this company a ZERO rating! Leave them a message and they NEVER call you back! Sent us an aide and the aide had NO IDEA what to do for my mother! She said she was only a COMPANION NOT AN AIDE! I called and spoke to supervisor and she told me they don’t hire COMPANIONS. Gave them another chance and on the 4th of July THE AIDE NEVER SHOWED UP. It is now July 6th and I am still waiting for a call back to let me know what happened! I will NEVER use this company again. UNRELIABLE, UNPROFESSIONAL.Louisa Marcopoulos
VNA of Florida is an excellent care provider and amazing place to work. My mother was a patient after back surgery. She had smart and expert nurses, occupational and physical therapists, and hard working home health aides. i also have the honor of working at the VNA of Florida. I love my work, and our team works well together to deliver care all across Florida. We have staff who work 24×7 to help patients in their homes. I am very proud of the VNA.Sam Whittle
If I could give this company a zero I would. The scheduler we had was so nasty no personality and every caregiver she sent out was the same. The caregivers had No compassion for my mom at all. We have used few companies and this company by far the worst. Finally found company who have a wonderful staff and have had same caregiver for 2 weeks now who we all absolutely love.desmic4

I cannot express enough how wonderful preferred private care staff has been since we started up with them. We have used so many other companies for my mom who has Alzheimer’s and needs special care. NO OTHER company can compare to Preferred private care. None of the other companies were able to find a good match for my mom. Some of the other companies were so rude and just didn’t care. Preferred private care staff have been so helpful, kind and professional. The companion we currently have Diana is such a perfect match for my mom.. really the whole family we all love her so much. Diana goes above and beyond to make sure my mom is happy and taken care of and I am truly thankful for that. I am so grateful for everyone with Preferred private care who work so hard to make sure everything is going well for us. I love the fact that every couple of days someone with preferred private care reach out to see how things are going and if we need anything to let them know. Thank you all for being so kind and helpful. Wish we found your company a LONG time ago, glad to be with all of you now. So nice to know my mom is in good hands. I would highly recommend Preferred private care to anyone. Desari Gilmoredesmic4
Preferred Private Care has done an outstanding job of caregiver placement with my father. My father is reaching 90 years old, and like many people in the senior population, has gone through many challenges in life. That being said, it can be difficult at times to get the right caregiver fit. Especially with the physical mental, and emotional changes that present themselves. Preferred Private Care has gone above and beyond to make the situation a positive one for my father. It can be a very difficult adjustment for both client and caregiver, but they are the first agency that I’ve had the pleasure of working with that will adjust and persevere in times of issue. Everyone, from Sean, in Business Development to the nurses, caregivers and office staff have been there for me whenever the need arose. I hope we continue to enjoy an excellent working relationship. I applaud all of them for what they do! Linda RogersLinda Rogers
I have used Preferred Private care on and off for my parents and they're the greatest asset in care giving. As a caregiver myself, it was hard to transfer over the care to someone else who was a stranger for me, but they made the process very doable and brought a level of compassion that was amazing. When you look at the list of what they offer for the amount of money, the keyword is companion: they offer that for everyone and really want to make sure that you, and your loved one, are being taken care of.Lucian Godoy

Review Summary
I have the highest regard for Watercrest of Port Saint Lucie. Both its staff and its facility–its residences–are consistently superior, deluxe, and admirable. My experience of Watercrest is as a relative of a resident for whom I am the primary responsible person. After escorting this relative, my mother, on a search mission to no less than twelve senior communities up and down the Florida coast, I came to conclusion that Watercrest soared above all the others on every measure of quality. First, there is the lovely building: a modern design that allows for spacious and comfortable but not overwhelming apartments that allow for the feel of normal, happy life while not overwhelming the elderly. The aforementioned fresh design, tasteful as well as lively colors, and abundant art work make for an upscale but friendly feeling. Next is the quality of service. Whether the concierge, the community relations helpers, the medical aides, or the cooks, Watercrest employees are always well-trained, courteous, prompt, and enthusiastic. And so with the day-to-day details: the range of activities for residents is astounding as well as diverse; the culinary side is rich and inventive; help with matters such as transport is abundant; and the medical professionals are eager to help. I recently had the experience of needing help for my mother at 8:30 pm on a Saturday–and got it without delay. Likewise, I have always gotten nearly immediate help from the Waterrest leadership whenever the need has arisen. All in all, Watercrest is, in my opinion, a platinum-level venue for the enjoyment of the golden years.Kevin Cope
I was searching for not only a suitable facility, but a loving home, for my Aunt and I absolutely found it at Watercrest! I researched the property, spoke with the Community Relations Director, Diann McDonough who gave me a tour of the grounds and I was completely impressed with the beauty and amenities. I also had several discussions with Diann about my aunt's care and fully agreed with her recommendation that she should be living her best life now. Four months later, I can adamantly say the lifestyle, love, care and abundance of activities are outstanding. They even assisted in planning her birthday party there including the best Motown Artist I have ever heard, Curtis Hill, who was referred by Esther Churchey, the Memory Care Director. Esther not only has a wealth of information, but she is also wonderful in every area of care and family involvement. My Aunt had an amazing time and said it was the best party ever! Diann and Esther you are both absolutely awesome, I cannot thank you both enough for all that you do. Thank you Diann, Esther & Staff!! If you are considering a new home for your loved one, don't worry, I have done the research for you. Give them a call, speak with the team and visit the beautiful property. They are truly a professional and caring team!Joyce Smith
I live in California and I needed to temporarily move my mom into an assisted living facility until I could sell her house. She fell in April and was in a rehab facility and it was very isolating. We looked at a few places, but none were nearly as nice as Watercrest. Desperate to find a nice place for my mom I contacted Diann (pictured standing next to my mom). Diann moved quickly to help and make the move happen. Still, I was anxious… would my mom like it there… would she make friends? All that got answered very quickly. Kathy who coordinates all the activities is AMAZING! She helped my mom meet her new friends and she never looked back. The medical staff, front desk, housekeepers are to helpful and kind. I do want to mention Joyce and Martha, along with the chefs, kitchen staff and servers are wonderful and my mom loved the variety of daily food offerings. While her stay was brief (4 months) she made an amazing group of friends. We’re so incredibly grateful and blessed to have Watercrest for our transition. My mom confided with me last week how happy she is here. If only it was closer to me! You won’t be disappointed if you choose to have your loved one in this wonderful assisted living facility.Susan Brown

Review Summary
Atlantic Home Care was truly Heaven sent for the care of my elderly parents. From the day I placed the phone call to inquire about homecare for my parents this summer up until now, it’s all been a very pleasant experience. The decision to start homecare for my parents was new and overwhelming. I absolutely had no no idea what to expect. I had received input from friends and family about their own experience with other homecare services which were not necessarily positive; I did my research online and saw the very positive reviews with Atlantic HomeCare and decided to give them a try. I made the first call to Atlantic HomeCare in early July while in Washington, D.C. My parents live in Florida. The young lady who answered was very pleasant. Kerri Johnson, the Director returned my call promptly and it’s been nothing but a positive experience since this summer. Kerri and Nannie, her assistant were very caring and attentive to our needs. They arrived on time for the appointment scheduled and gave us the particulars of the company. I was very impressed by Kerri and her staff resourcefulness. I was also comforted to know that Atlantic HomeCare had direct contact with my parents physician and can be contacted for any medical concerns about my parents (and of course with my parents consent) The Home Care Aide, Kathy, has been a delight. My parents can be difficult and they absolutely love her. The staff who handle the financials have also been very thorough. I had been receiving the invoices detailing hours and amount charged every week and on time and have had no issues whatsoever. My siblings and I are very much at peace to know that my parents are VERY well taken care of. It’s been a few months and I have had NO complaints. THANK YOU Atlantic HomeCare! You are truly the best!!Marise S
We are so pleased with the services provided from Atlantic In-Home Care and it's team. It has truly been life changing to have the additional support needed to provide for my mother's care.. We are so happy with my mother's Caretaker, Cessanie. Teresa and Kerri from the office managed a great fit with her from the onset. She has been instrumental in handling the things needed when I am not there, and does a great job. Her back ups, Terry (Celina) and Mayleena, have been very good as well. I was so nervous -initially -with this process and having anyone go to my mom's home – but Atlantic has gained my trust providing quality and compassionate people into my mother's life. Thank you!Yvette Alessi
I first became aware of Atlantic In-Home Care after doing extensive research when my 96-year-old father became ill while my 95-year-old mother was in the hospital recovering from hip surgery. Because my parents live in Florida (1,000 miles away from me), I had to find a Home Health Care agency that I could totally depend upon to help see my family through this crisis. Fortunately, Atlantic In-Home Care lived up to (and actually exceeded) all of the positive reviews and articles that I had read about them. Their management team and in-home care providers have been consistently excellent and, as a result, I would never consider using anyone else. Tom C.Tom Coiro

Review Summary
What can I say about Visiting Angels….This service has been a god send!!!!! I have an ailing mother who progressively needed additional care. We didn't know who to turn to and no experience with this type of situation. Our neighbor suggested calling Visiting Angels after they used the service and raved about the experience. After watching the commercial a few times I finally made the call. If I only knew I would have done it sooner. Spoke with Laura (owner) and we spoke in great detail about our situation and their services. She came out to our home and evaluated my mom, the surroundings and what her needs were (in a word…amazing). As soon as she left we already began to feel at ease. She's been amazing and her staff that she hand picked have been nothing short of the best decision we ever made. If anyone reading this has an elderly family member or friend in need of additional care you must contact Laura at visiting angels. I guarantee you will not regret it, providing the patient and family with the much needed peace and support they need. Just blessed to be so lucky to have this great experience. ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻John
Laura and Clay have been providing my 95 year old Mom with just the best support possible for over a year. They truly care about their clients and the Angels they provide are highly screened and selected. We had 3 different Angels provide support over the course of that time and each one of them were wonderful. Laura and Clay keep their finger on the pulse, they pay careful attention to each client and situation. Last year when there was a hurricane approaching they actually offered to personally provide transportation to get my mother out of harms way, and, when the hurricane passed, Clay drove from Stuart down to Miami International airport and personally picked her up from the airport and brought her back to her home in Stuart. First class care. Great Folks who care about their product. Rare these days.john Hughes
The "angels" have been visiting and caring for my 94 yr. old mom for almost two years. This has allowed her to live at home which is very important to her, rather than moving to an assisted living facility. Laura & Clay in the office realize how important it is to place the angel that will be compatible with the client. Marie and Laurie have been her main caregivers during this time. Laurie is my mom's current angel, and in fact that is what my mom calls her. She truly cares for my mom. During a recent hospital stay, Laurie was her advocate since I live in a different state. She would call me with a report as to how my mom was progressing. My mom truly would not be able to live in her home without Laurie's help. I would recommend the Visiting Angels who have a loved one to be cared for and looked after.linda Wysocki

Very unprofessional and don't care about your time.. I went into the office and filled out paperwork they took all my information made copies .. They had three people looking over everything.. had me fill out everything to hire me .. and then had me sitting there for two hours asking me everything that I just filled out on the paper instead of reading the paper … even had me go to a second drug screening and the one i gave them is only a month and half old .. The lady who took my information text me all day the next day about the same information that I just went and spoke to them about and that they made copies of .. Now after all of this she texts me and says they can't accept the certificates that I've worked off for over 6 years since i lost my originals moving which I explained to them when i first came in .. And all she keeps texting me now is that she can't go over the rules.. which I never asked her to do I'm trying to understand how do you and two other people there go over someone's paperwork .. accept it make copies .. even scheduled me for orientation and now three days later it's a problem .. waste of time!!!!Pretty Dream
If there was a -10 rating this company would get it. They cause so much unnecessary stress its ridiculous. Specifically Alexis G. she is very skilled at twisting ones words if you aren't paying attention. Sometimes common sense and compassion needs to trump one's day to day robotic movements in life. You too shall get old and I hope you have someone to advocate for your care as I do for my mother's. Being this stone-hearted will serve you no good. Keep that in mind as you "grow". This company has a few good aides, but treat them so poorly from making them take entire days off for matters that, if planned and coordinated properly would not amount to a day of loss wages to their staff! DO BETTER SPECIAL TOUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Update: So I was finally able to get a fob installed at my mother's home which took .5seconds to 'install'. The gentleman they sent was so pleasant and well mannered. Now my aide can clock in and out w/out having to install an intrusive app on her phone or use my landline to clock in/out. This fob option was NEVER given to me until I started going in on them last week.NA Flocker
I transferred my patient to Special Touch agency recently and I regret about it. My patient's coordinator is Marina ( ext: 260) from the Russian Department. She talks in a very rude manner with home attendants and employees of the agency. Marina doesn't want to listen to our complaints nor resolve them and doesn't want to take care of the cases and patients. She cuts you up and hangs up on you while on the phone. A Racist towards to some of us and doesn't respect people outside of her community. She tries to give work to people from her own community and nationality. I guess she gets something for it. She feels that she is the owner of the company "Special Touch" from the manner of her speech. This agency didn't fulfill my expectations and I recommend people to NOT TRANSFER THEIR CASES AND PATIENTS TO THE AGENCY OF SPECIAL TOUCH.Love Warshaw

Review Summary
We have been very pleased with the exemplary and professional staff at FirstLight. After my sibling and I interviewed three companies with my mother it was a unanimous decision to go with this caregiving service. What first sold us was the fact that it would be one caregiver assigned to my mother where the other two local services would send available caregivers so there would not be consistency. Furthermore, if the caregiver was sick or unable to come they would guarantee another caregiver to show that day and management always dropped by or checked in if that were the case. I was living there so I could see the loving care firsthand for my mother whom had stage four cancer. Carlene was a perfect match for my mother as she showed incomparable true Compassion, and took her on short local outings to get her stimulated with the environment and to stores to get little things on her wish list. My mother loved her cooking and simply having her sit and listen to my mother’s family stories. The house was well kept and medications dispensed correctly and assisted with her bathing and self care. There is no other choice for us other than FirstLight in Florida. My four siblings in other states loved the updates we received and felt comfort in knowing her caregiver Carlene showed such compassion for her. We were fortunate to have their support at such a difficult time for our mom.Melanie Harrison
Ive been using First Light through the VA now for about three years, First I only used them to provide Respite for me while I took care of my Military Retired husband. Jose, at that time was awesome with my husband, and it afforded me the time to do grocery shopping, go do my nails or go to a movie with a friend. I never had to worry about my husband while I was out. Since 2019, my husband has been in and out of Rehabs and last March, when the Covid19 Virus was going rampart and I was no longer allowed to visit him, I decided to bring him home. By this time, he needs care 24/7. The VA allowed me 21hrs a week and I can have my 2 days a month respite back. They gave me a choice of agencies to use, and naturally, I chose First Light Home Care. First Light has always been there to attend to my needs and listens to my concerns. I highly recommend them for your needs.Rickie Def
Firstlight has been the most rewarding company I've worked for since becoming a caregiver. After being hired in 2018, I have been graciously awarded the opportunity to move up in the company. Everyone affiliated with Management and office staff positions has been so helpful, polite and caring. Not only to the employees but also to every client receiving services. I am very fortunate to be a part of a visibly growing company. I recommend Firstlight Home Care Services.Harriet Staley

Review Summary
I was very unhappy with the professionalism of the agency and several of the workers. The unethical principles, lack of communication between the workers and staff, and the dollar vs the quality care for the patient. My experience has been several but to name a few. An Aide staff arrived not knowing dads condition and insulted me by saying if they had known his condition they would not have picked up the case, others slacked on his care and I had to change aides too many times, hours, and days, along with a few inconveniences. I hold Ability Home Health Care responsible for not communicating with their independent contractors about the patients health care needs and disclosure of responsibilities for the patients prior to sending them, their attitude over the phone when i called them to make a change/complain, When calling I would be passed along for their convenience to the next, and I had concern on how they treated their staff. So We decided to change agencies but Prior to making the decision to change agencies Ability sent one Aide staff that finally had all qualifications of an aide and who I valued to care for my dad. She Worked dedicated to and for my dads care and well being. We decided to stay when we should have left the agency right then. Although we had a winner she wasn’t full time with us. We were sent other aide staff again and again. Either they were going to other agencies Or downsizing their case loads. During this same period of changes dad went into the hospital. Upon his discharge we decided to only use the Ability Home Care for the 1st week dad would be released and make a change despite how much we liked the one aide staff. We changed agencies and mentioned to the aide we were leaving the agency and mentioned the agency we were going to. Coincidentally she mentioned she had applied to a few agencies and that was one of them. I knew Dad would be happy to hear he could still see the Aide because she is also at the other agency so We thought Wow look at God that’s great. To my surprise the agency reacted as they had throughout our short time together…. Unethical In my opinion. The aide was harassed with messages from the Ability Home Care that if she cared for my dad through any agency other than theirs for 12 months they would sue her for $5000. Wow I was and should not have been shocked. I called as a courtesy to Ability and spoke to An Administrator and informed her this was my choice to leave Ability, etcetera. I was told it didn’t matter yes they will sue her and hire a private investigator to take photos should she come in my house. whether working with another agency or private duty.. Nor can she be a friend visiting. No CONTACT. The administrator said she has to feed her children and that was the way it was going to go PERIOD BEING a small agency they were not just going to loose money because people want to change their service or loose their worker without a consequence should they end up with the same client and being Ability is a small agency they were not going to loose money like in my situation PERIOD. They would exercise the Contract to the fullest. No Break. No compromising, no concern for the best interests or the effect it would have on my dad who became reliant and happy with the aide. This made me really feel it was only about $$$ vs best interest for patient. Broke my spirit and my dads. However, my concern at this point is they did not impress me overall and certainly not any mercy for the elderly care nor their staff who also have a family to feed. The representation for the company words represented . I normally see contracts like this but in Mileage from agency if anything. Not banned from anywhere they will work. I just thank God I am able to advocate for My dads care realizing their are some elders who have no one. My overall experience was not satisfactory. Couldn’t keep the same aide at the new agency but grateful to be with a new agency. They could have salvage that WINNER vs the tactics If they’re blame is being short staffed…. I wonder why.. My ExperienceEvelynn Carmona
My parents are both clients of Ability Home Care and have been for 15 months. We initially were with another company however we were not happy .A friend of the family told us about Ability his wife was a client and he was very happy and recommended them.He gave me the number and I called and was interested in what they were offering. The home health aides that work with my parents have truly become part of our family and we are very blessed to have meet them. When and if they can't make it the agency goes out of the way to try to find some one to fill in. The owner as well as the office staff is accessible after hours and yes that does include weekends. For the above mentioned reasons I would definitely recommend Ability to any family who wants to keep there love one home.Edna Sanchez-cousins
Ability Home Care has THE best office staff I've ever spoken too. They are very nice and attentive to the needs of their patients and staff. My aunt has been under their care for some time now and they always make sure she has services. They sent her the best aide ever. My aunt and her aide get along so well and she is through the roof with her care. Thank you Ability.Maria Hernandez

I've never heard of a medical office using a call center. I was impressed with our first appt until after measuring his breathing they said they wanted to do a treatment then retest. Which excited me as I felt that would show some great data. But I told them he had just had one before hand. If the office took the calls I feel like that could have been relayed. Still met with the doctor really like her. She wrote him a new RX and said to call if it was to much as we are self pay. I called it was the call center again. I left a message with them no one every called back. So a week goes by and I call again. Again I talk with the call center tell them how no one every called back last time. They apologize and take my message. I never hear back, the next day I call again. They said his RX was sent and someone should have called back, apologized again. I called the pharmacy and they did get the new RX but the Dr didn't sign the RX. Having open communication is important when dealing with a sick kid. Not being able to get ahold of the office is a big issue to me. We will be looking for a new Dr sadly already.Megan Rogers
The staff and Dr. we're nice, and the Dr. took the time to answer my questions. The issue was that we waited over an hour before we even saw the Dr., and I was told that is common for that location (PSL). They also did not have WIFI, a TV on, and I don't remember seeing any toys for the kids. Little children having to wait over an hour with nothing to entertain them is a recipe for unhappy kiddos and unhappy parents. More importantly, most people (especially parents of small children) feel like their time is as valuable as anyone else's. I do my best to avoid offices that make people with appointments wait that long. It's poor management and unnecessary.Heather Majam
Dr. Light’s credentials speak for themselves, but in addition to a wealth of experience, he is incredibly kind and obviously passionate about his work. I appreciated his willingness to listen, to be curious, and to take his time to understand my daughter’s complicated medical history, rather than just giving more medication for her symptoms. He went above and beyond to explain and show us what was happening on her CT scans and is fully committed to help us with her health issues through to diagnosis and resolution. I couldn’t ask for a better doctor. I can’t give enough stars or praise. He is excellent at what he does and is also a very nice person!the o's

Review Summary
Foundations not only saved my life, they have changed my life forever. As someone who has been to multiple treatment centers, I can honestly say this is by far the most effective, genuine and authentic treatment center there is. All and all, the whole place is like a big family that cares very deeply for each other with staff that is second to none. Each and every staff member here takes the time to get to know you and talk to you and actually listen to what you’re saying. Unlike other places, they actually remember their clients and they remember the conversations they hold with their clients because the don’t just look at them like clients. They look at everyone as a new member to their family. Each and everyone at Foundations will literally bend over backwards for anyone struggling with addiction. One last thing that really stood out to me was the owners, the owners of the facility aren’t just there for a dollar, they’re there because they genuinely care and want the best for each and everyone who walks through their door. Unlike other places I’ve been, I actually have met the owners and got to know them. They are extremely involved in the whole facility day in and day out. Not to mention they are always checking in on everyone on a daily basis, the fact that the owners know my name, where I work and check in on me regularly means a lot to someone like me. It shows that they are actually interested in my well being and actually care how I am doing inside and outside their program. I highly recommend Foundations to anyone who is struggling with addiction as they have forever changed my life and I could not be happier. When I walked through their door I was beaten up and broken down. Today I have the gift of sobriety, my family’s love, and a full time job. Life is better than it’s ever been in the last 10 years and it’s all thanks to Foundations for helping me discover who I truly am without drugs/alcohol and helping me discover this new way of life!Nicholas Nelson
After decades of self medicating with alcohol and trying to quit on my own, I reached the brokenness and despair needed to finally reach out and ask for help. Joe was the first of many wonderful people I met at Foundations. He saw my brokenness and assured me if I followed the direction of the Therapists Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and immersed myself in the 12 step program I would be more than ok, just like he was after going through the programs himself. If you are really ready to change your life and dive into the programs head first WITH NO RESERVATIONS then Foundations is the place to start!! I am 4 months sober, the longest in 24yrs., I am plugged into a wonderful sober community in the local area and now helping other Addicts and Alcoholics stay sober and happy. Thanks to Vickey who calmed my initial uneasiness, and answered my million questions about halfway and treatment, upon intake! Joe, with his welcoming smile and compassion for my brokenness when I first arrived, Steve, for listening to me over the past months, figuring out my depression and getting me on the right track to feeling well!!! I can finally breath, life is good and fulfilling again and I do not need alcohol. If your ready to finally change your life, to humble yourself, to accept instruction from those who know the way then reach out to Foundations and start getting well today! A huge THANKS!! to all the Staff at Foundations who helped me on my journey and continue to help even after finishing treatment.David Vogel
I have been to numerous detoxification centers and rehabilitation centers, halfway houses, jails, homeless shelters, and living on the streets.I've struggled with alcoholism and drug addiction for 20yrs. It wasn't until I came to Foundations and was helped to understand that I've been the common denominator in all my problems. I finally saw that blaming other people , places and things was getting me nowhere in life and just fueling the flames of my addiction. I'm a Army veteran of ten years and surrender was not in my vocabulary. Through Foundations clinical team and group therapy, I came to understand that admitting powerlessness was the first step to my recovery. I was given the tools and resources here at Foundations to forged my path to sobriety. I am grateful to say that November 29, 2022 will be 2yrs clean and sober. I have a beautiful and meaningful way of life today and it all started at Foundations. I am grateful to ALL the staff that have help me on my journey. God bless you all.Kevin Counter
