Review Summary
I dont know if I can do justice just by reviewing Preferred Care. Stacy, Ashley and especially Jarrod were my angels this past year. They came into my life at a critical time and they helped me with my husband who suffers from alzheimers. Stacy and Ashley suppoted me when I was at the end of my rope and provided me with answers and resources to deal with my situation. Jarrod was my rock and my saving grace. He took excellent care of my husband and of me even when my husband made it nearly impossible for him to do. He always went above and beyond even when things were so difficult. I would definitely recommend Preferred Care at Home . They all truly care! Thank you!jill pray
I have worked for a few agencies over the years, but none compare to my job at Preferred Care at Home. I have always felt valued here. The other companies I felt like a number. They didn’t even really know me. Stacy and the team make me feel proud of the job that I do for my clients. They really give the personal touch to me , all the clients and the whole staff. I know that I’ve found my forever home with this company . If you are looking for a job or a company to care for your loved ones, there is no reason to look any farther. This is the one!!Ali Schubert

Review Summary
The caregivers of Home instead senior care were wonderful with my father. He was very hard of hearing, very unsteady on his feet, would get up and walk without his walker, had dementia, and could be difficult at times. The caregivers were patient with him. They kept him active. They were always engaging him in conversation and showing family pictures to help him remember. They took him out of his room in the nursing home as much as possible. This was during the covid isolation, so everyone was doing the best they could to get him up and about. The Home instead staff made his quality of life 100 percent better than if he would have been in the nursing home by himself, especially since my family was unable to visit him. The nursing home staff was stretched thin because so many residents needed frequent attention, and no family could come and visit. The Home Instead caregivers were able to be with my father, and take excellent care of him, during a time when we needed it most.Jane H
I am so thankful to have found Home Instead Sr. Care-Ft. Myers to provide a caregiver for my mother! They are kind, professional & willing to work with me from across the country to provide excellent care for Mom. I was able to discuss my concerns & Mom's needs over the phone and set up meetings for during my visit to FL. Since 10/1/18 things have run very smoothly: management has thoughtfully kept me current on Mom's situation – something very important when worrying about your Loved One in FL when living in CA. The caregiver is a wonderful person and really cares about Mom; we communicate directly, if needed. The office staff has been prompt and efficient. The only disappointment I have is that I used another company too long before I found the much higher quality of care provided by Home Instead Sr. Care of Ft. Myers!Janell Keider
If you are reading this review, you are probably researching for caregiver help – if you have elderly parents that say “we’re fine”, I’m going to bet they aren’t. You aren’t alone, we just went through that. My parents wanted to age in place in their home, but we were concerned for their safety. We contacted Home Instead and had no regrets. They have an amazing team of competent and professional caregivers. My parents were treated with love and respect. My Dad had dementia and the caregivers were so very patient with him as his memory loss progressed and his health began to fail. He was able to pass peacefully at home under hospice care with caregivers and family at his side. We plan to continue with Home Instead for my Mom. We know we made the right choice! Thank you Home Instead!!!Kim Dickerson

Review Summary
My name is Margo Pedigo. I started as a CAREGiver not really knowing what to expect, but I have to say, I got the luck of the draw. Shirley …81 years young and a pistol from day one. She wasn't really sure what to expect either as up until a month or two before, she had been driving herself to her appointments. Unfortunately, her macular degeneration caused her to have an accident in her car and while no one was hurt, (except the car) she and her family knew it was time to hand over the keys to someone else. She tried Naples City transportation, cabs, Uber and the Cat, but always ended up late, disappointed and waiting, or going out of the way to drop off someone else when her house was just around the corner. Thank goodness the first company her daughters got in touch with were not quick to respond so the next call was to Home Instead, and the Welcome Wagon arrived. She first met with Bill, and he eased her mind although giving up the idea of driving all together was still heavy on her heart. The first day I went to meet with her, Liz came to introduce me and break the ice. However, Shirley's protective neighbor buddies were there to check, check and triple check these new strangers that were going to escort their favorite and fun resident about town. I got the "OK" and thumbs up from them both, and that day was the beginning of a very special friendship. From Dr's appointments to Publix to Trader Joe's to hair and nail appointments and shopping, we have a great time observing and commenting on all of the idiot drivers and the crazy weather. While I am the one who is there to help her, she teaches me a new recipe or cooking tip every time we meet. She is quick to share a cookie, a laugh, a story, and most certainly a commentary on the wacked out world we live in. The "back in my day" stories are just what this world needs, and I look forward to every shift I have with her. She is very independent and is sometimes shy to ask for help as she is VERY used to taking care of everyone else, and the teenage boy upstairs is spoiled with tasty treats almost daily. She is definitely the Belle of the Ball in her corner of paradise in southeast Naples, and I am honored to be part of her kingdom. I hope to be the spitfire that she is when I get to her age. We signed on with Home Instead in early May 2019 for the care of my father who is on a large cognitive decline, and my mother isn't able to be a caregiver for him. We have no family members in the area, and we live out of state, so HI has provided peace of mind on a daily basis and a caregiver is with our parents every day of the week. Communication with and from the HI staff is very good; any issues or concerns we raise are addressed. We have one caregiver who is with us four days/week; she is absolutely focused on the needs of my dad and the household, as well has been able to quickly respond in some minor emergency situations that have arisen. She is attentive, patient, and willing to do whatever is needed which truly allows us to worry a bit less from a distance! I also work directly with a person in their finance dept who has been assisting with the process of getting claims submitted to my parents' long term care insurance provider which has been a huge help. I am happy to have found a reliable and responsive in-home care provider, as my parents are adamant about remaining in their home.Patricia Calore
Catherine Marsh was an evening excellent healthcare provider. She was kind and helpful. She made helpful suggestions and jumped in an did extras. She was punctual and efficient. We were new to have an employee here and she was quick to offer extra services that we wouldn’t have thought to ask. She never liked to be idle. She was willing to wait to volunteer to perform personal hygiene until Bill felt comfortable. She folded clothes, did laundry, cooked lunches and breakfasts. When we graduated to independence, she was the ONLY Homeinstead employee my husband would consider should additional care be required. She adjusted her weekend schedule so we could hire her services. We cannot say enough thanks to Catherine for the peace of mind and relaxation her help afford us.Linda Hissam

I went to get tested after being exposed and showing symptoms of covid. I was tested 7 days ago and still have not gotten my test results. I also went to be tested with 2 other members of my family who also have not gotten their results. Every time I reach out to this company whoever controls the WhatsApp messaging service seems to not care at all about me needing to know what my results are for my job and brushes me off. I’ve tried reaching out to the lab myself and can’t get any answers there either. At this point I am ready to go to an overcrowded urgent care to be tested. I will never go here again and will never recommend to anyone.Mulazia Woods

I don't know what I would have done without Heart, Body, & Mind Home Care! My mother recommended them to me based on a caregiver she had met. When my mother-in-law arrived unexpectedly after a stay a rehab in Maryland, we only had a day to plan. I called Heart, Body & Mind and Pearl asked great questions to assess our needs. They had a caregiver here within hours of my mother-in-law's arrival. They were all incredibly compassionate, kind, friendly, and helpful. Over the course of three weeks, we had the pleasure of meeting four of them, and they were all wonderful. My mother-in-law is now living in an assisted living home nearby, but just yesterday, she was saying how much she missed Vanessa, Heydy, Camille, and Irene. In the office, Sabrina was always helpful with scheduling requests. I recommend them whole heartedly if you find yourself needing in-home care for a loved one. Thank you, Heart, Body & Mind for being there for us in a time of need!Mary Macchiaroli
My father has been living in an independent living facility in Florida and since I live in NJ I am not able to be there to help with his needs. He requires some daily assistance due to mild dementia as well as recovery from a fractured hip. Heart body mind home care has been meeting his needs for the past 7 months. They provide great caretakers who have helped tremendously with his recovery from surgery and continue to provide assistance with his medications and with his morning care routine. They help keep his life organized so after they leave he can continue to function Independently throughout the rest of the day. When I visit him I see first hand how well he is doing and that puts my mind at ease. Thank you for taking such great care of my dad!Mitchie L
We are very satisfied and happy with the service we are receiving from Heart, Body and Mind Home Care. Our service provider, Anthony, is punctual and professional, while being attentive and friendly. He is caring and helpful for not only my husband, but assists with some tasks, and activities I might need assistance. Providing much needed services, for our U. S. Veterans, is commendable and a much needed service. The office staff is knowledgeable and quick to assist whenever needed. Sandi, is thorough and ready to explain the services available and answer any and all questions and concerns. I highly recommend them and plan to continue their services as our need continues.Nancy Leiner

Review Summary
We have had my aunt whom I am responsible for with Home Instead for 3 months. Sandy, Kathe and Regina are exceptional and truly care about the patients and their families. I have been in healthcare in one form or another for almost 40 years and I must say Sandy is one of the best caregivers I have ever seen. She is compassionate, dedicated and works hard to ensure my aunt and family don't need anything further. We have had a few questionable caregivers, but all we had to do was inform Kathe or Regina and the situation was handled immediately. No matter what healthcare company you choose you will always encounter providers that are not the best, but Home Instead handles the situation immediately. Very impressive. We can't thank Sandy. Kathe, Regina and Home Instead enough for what they do!Heather Bailey
I live in another state and I am lucky to have decided to hire them to take care of my father while he can remain at home. since they have been coming in everyday, he is eating better, taking his medicines on a regular schedule, and they even take him to do activities like shuffleboard and shoot pool. His memory and functioning has increased greatly since they have been coming and doing these things. They are quick to let me know if anything is going on and very responsive to all of my requests. I would recommend them to anybody!Curt LaFollette
We used Home Instead often. The office team is responsive but often fails to confirm appointments; Caregivers are helpful & pleasant. HOWEVER we were overcharged numerous times and management told us it couldn't be adjusted; several caregivers DID NOT SHOW UP for critical appointment days and no explanations/apologies were offered. Had to fire them as a result. I need a company I can rely on. There are other agencies in Lee County that are more dependable and offer excellent care.Ms PJL

Review Summary
My experience has been excellent and has confirmed my decision to select a caregiver that was directly managed by the son of the founder. I had a very good experience previously dealing directly with the owner of Ella Home Care in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Since matching an individual caregiver can often not be determined until shortly before the need date, I had also dealt with a chain that was highly recommended to improve my chances/. When I got to Florida, their availability vanished and my phone calls were not returned. Fortunately, I had been also dealing with Scott the owner of Abbey who worked with me. The first caregiver Scott had selected didn't show up, didn't call Scott, and refused to answer their cell phone, but Scott was quick to find a temporary replacement. I say "temporary" because as Scott and I were talking a wonderful person was filling out an application and she has been with us for 5 months. Covid, the Florida work ethic, and demand that exceeds supply have significantly increased the difficulty of supplying caregivers, which makes it that much more important to have motivated owner like Scott directly working for you. I originally set up services with a large company, mistakenly thinking this would give me more peace of mind with a bigger employee pool in case of illness, etc. We ended up getting ALOT of different caregivers, not always good when your loved one is struggling somewhat with memory issues. We signed on with Abby services, and I couldn’t be happier with how they met our needs. Caregiving is not an easy job, but I always felt that our caregivers (and Carol in particular) were so compassionate and called to do what they were doing. All of my concerns were quickly addressed whenever they arose. This is one of the most important decisions you can make at a very stressful time in your life. I feel confident in recommending this company to anyone. Your loved ones will be in good hands.Alice Bleich
We are currently using Abby Services to help care for my in-laws while they are in assisted living, and we couldn't be happier. The two main aides for them, Debbie and Sonia, have provided not only excellent care but have made sure to keep us informed of what is needed and any concerns they have about their health and well-being. Scott has also been great, keeping us well informed of any last minute schedule changes, such as for sickness of one of the aides. Highly recommend their services.Deb Kunkel

I cannot tell you enough how pleased I am with your care, services and concern. Mostly I want to tell you about my senior helper Rosa R. who has been with me for about two years. I look forward to her coming each week and now since my fall, even twice a week. She is without a doubt the best of the best. kind, thoughtful, on the spot and almost like a granddaughter to me. I have used other services before, but they are no way like Senior Helpers. Thanks to my recommendations Rosa has acquired more clients here in my retirement home. They know the kind of service she provides and now they too can benefit. Thanks for how they operate their helpers and know how to know the right ones to send out. I love Rosa and would not be who and what I am today, without the services she provides for me and her demeaner in all aspects. Thank you kindly for being "spot on". Senior Helpers and find many more Rosas though they would be hard to find, believe me. "Keep on keeping on"joyce nemitz
My mom is an 87 year old veteran with dementia. We’ve been with this agency for about a year. Up until 8 weeks ago the services were consistent. Since then , communication, scheduling and home care providers have been a nightmare. Senior Helpers claim they have dementia care experience, I haven’t had any provider here with any type of memory support training. New providers show up and they know nothing about the person they are here to care for. Not knowing who’s coming to your home makes it impossible to leave ( to run errands)them with your loved one. This has created tremendous frustration for both mom and I. I suggest you look for a different agency.Tamara Llewellyn
My aunt, who had Alzheimer's, was cared for by Betty Rogers-Raybon from Senior Helpers for the past four years. My uncle cannot say enough good things about the extraordinary care and comfort Betty brought his wife. He wanted her to remain at home with him through her illness. Betty's expertise, kindness, competency and positive approach to the challenges of caring for my aunt made this possible. We are so very grateful that my aunt had Betty in her life. She made a significant contribution to my aunt's quality of life and for this the entire family is grateful. Thank you, Betty.Sheree Rust

My review is based solely on the management and staffing. For the first time in over a month I was able to take a real shower, it was timed to the scheduled arrival of the nurse. I waited lying in bed waiting, an hour goes by and no call and no nurse. I called and was told that the nurse who was scheduled had an issue and couldn't make it. This snowballed from there and there lack of management made it worst. They were fired! I got myself to the wound care at Lee Memorial and that is where I stayed. I was just informed of the response by owner(s) of Assisting Hands. Normally I would just allow this to go by with out a reply from me, but this response from Assisting hands is just a flat out "Fabrication" This was referred by doctors confirmed and approved by my insurance for at least six weeks, further they never attempted to call and after verifying this with Verizon I had to set the record straight. This is rock bottom of low life'. The truth may hurt a little but it won't kill you.ACMB ENTerprises Binns
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Assisting Hands. They are truly caring, compassionate, respectful and go above and beyond what you could ever expect from a home health agency. Every individual I’ve come in contact with has been superb. I want to especially thank Esther and Samantha for their extraordinary care and kindness. They continue to make an extremely difficult situation easier to endure.Karen Eddy
Assisting Hands was great in helping my mom get the extra care she needed on her stay in Fort Myers. Robert Thomas and the entire crew were professional, helpful and timely. From assessing the proper needs, to matching care givers, the process was smooth and well done. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking care giving in the Fort Myers area.Ken Charhut

We visited Kathy at her facility and it was an absolutely wonderful experience..All the "club" members were fully engaged in activities and were truly happy. The staff was very attentive and caring; you felt a sense of enthusiasm, patience and concern. The "club" engages everyone and whether its celebrating a birthday or dancing with live music the tone is one of great joy…there is something for everyone…If you have a loved one that needs to get out I would strongly suggest stopping in Choices in Living–if for no other reason just the socialization…the "club" members share stories and become friends…and its nice to converse with people who you have things in common with…give it a try you wont be disappointed!!Rosemarie Marzano
Superb facility which is well staffed by competent, caring engaged staff and managed by a professional care giver. The "club members" are engaged daily by a wide variety of activities designed to optimize their physical and cognitive capacity within appropriate constraints and safety boundaries. The cost of the program is extremely reasonable especially given staff-participant levels and the provision of lunch and snacks! Simply wonderful!Michael Judge

SHC provides in-home caregiving services for my 90 year old mother. My mother, and our family, have been very happy with the care & companionship provided by the Caregiver assigned to her. The Caregiver is experienced & responsible, does an excellent job with all daily duties required for caregiving, such as bathing, meal preparation, transportation to appts, med reminders, etc. as well as companionship. The Caregiver is very pleasant & personable with my mother, and also communicates well with us family members re: my mother's care. There are many caregiving services in the Sarasota area; this is definitely one of the best experiences we've had with a caregiving service provider. The SHC staff is easy to communicate with, invoices for service hours are electronic, clear & concise, & automatic payments can be set up – all of which makes it easy for us adult children that live out of state. The fee for caregiving services is reasonable and competitive.Rowena Perkins
Senior Home Companions provided care for my Mother in Law after leaving Tidewell Hospice. They are ANGELS and came to the rescue on a minute notice. I was devastated and overwhelmed with emotions. After arriving to my in laws home. My father in law had not confirmed reservations for the Bed or any care. I called Senior Homes Companions and immediately took action they took all my information and assisted me with all accommodations for Mom. I had a CNA that evening that was just so wonderful and caring. I can't emphasize enough how she made us feel. Her communication with the Tidewell staff, she made Mom look so good and even cooked for us. This Company stepped up when most needed. The service was phenomenal!!!! Mom has passed and the memories of her last days with the Staff from Senior Home Companions will forever be in my heart. KUDOS to the caregivers, God Bless you all.rebecca caragiulos
I live far away from my two lovebird parents that will not leave their "happily ever after" condo in Sarasota Fl. to be closer to family, even when both have cognitive impairment, serious heart problems and more. As their only child, I searched and searched and found Senior Home Companions. To say they are a God send would be an understatement. Simply put, this is the company that really cares. Others advertise they care, but don't demonstrate it. Every time I called upon SHC last minute, they were available, no waiting on hold or working through voice prompts. They just don't respond, they look ahead and help proactively manage any medical or emotional need. My parents love them. I love them too for helping me keep my promise of letting them stay in their home for as long as possible. I wish there were more stars to add to this review.Lori Paratore

I am pleased to write this review in support of Right at Home of Bonita Springs, Florida. My mother was a resident of an assisted living community in Ft. Myers for 5 years. The nursing care services provided by Right at Home allowed my mother to remain in her assisted living community surrounded by caring friends and staff until her recent passing. I had the opportunity to meet and work with the aides from Right at Home who were assigned to my mother. They were caring, nurturing and compassionate. Our family is grateful for their thoughtful service.anthony pisa
When looking for a company to work for, I realized that Right at Home is a company I want to grow my career in. Time and time again they remind me why I love what I do! It has been a challenging journey and I'm looking forward to helping more and more individuals in the community. As the Director of Administration, I have met wonderful clients and many talented and skilled caregivers who want to change the world one client at a time. I am honored to be part of such an amazing and compassionate team.Yhanna Brea

Review Summary
I do not have enough words of praise for the staff at Windsor Assisted Living in Cape Coral. FL. My Mother has been at Windsor Assisted Living for almost about 9 months now. Prior to that, she had lived independently in her own home, but we had faced many struggles with getting her the increased care that she needed while living in the home. Repeated hospital visits caused a challenge each time for her to be able to go home and live independently. The cost of in-home care was very expensive, unreliable, and did not provide all of the services to meet all of her needs. I fought putting my Mother into Assisted Living for a long time, but when we were in a position last November where we needed to move her expeditiously, I asked one of our hospice nurses what the nicest Assisted Living Facilities in the area was. Without hesitation, she recommended the Windsor. I called that same day and asked two questions: Do you have availability, and do you accept cats? The answer to both was yes. That same day I received a phone call from Chad, who walked me through the process of moving Mom from her home to the Windsor. He answered all of my questions about the facility, but also alleviated my fears and provided some encouragement about how great this transition can be. Prior to this, I saw Mom moving out of the home as a loss of independence. What I can see nine months later, is that my Mother’s move to the Windsor has actually increased her independence. She has gained weight. We have her medications finally sorted out and monitored. The Windsor nursing staff works closely with the VA and Hope Hospice to ensure Mom gets the care she needs. Even Mom’s cat, Millie, is well cared for. Chad even personally helped my Mother (and her cat Millie) move from Mom’s house to the Windsor, because I was unable to fly down there to assist. This was really going above and beyond. Recently my Mother had to go to the hospital for pneumonia and shortness of breath, which are a common part of her disease. When she was living in the home, this would have been a crisis. The Windsor made her transition back home from the hospital seamless. I even received a text from Chad saying “Mom’s home!”. When I called to get an update, the nursing staff was very kind and considerate to my emotions. I am so grateful for them. Every staff member from the front desk, to sales, residential life, nursing staff, housekeeping, and dining and beyond are all truly wonderful people. The Windsor is beautifully kept, clean, thoughtful and the space is thoughtful and considerate of the needs of the residents and their families. The building is coded for Florida storms and hurricanes, with generators, so that I don’t have to worry about the power going out, or mom having to evacuate. These were all concerns I had in the home. The food is delicious! The presence of pets in the building makes it feel more like home. I know for many that Assisted Living can seem expensive, but when you factor in the room, board, food, 24 hour care, housekeeping, utilities etc. the costs are less expensive than what we were paying to keep Mom in her home. The last time I was down visiting my Mother, I walked out of the building as I was preparing to fly home and thought to myself “this is worth every penny” I honestly cannot thank the staff at the Windsor enough for taking such great care of my Mother, better care than I could provide her in my own home. The security of having her somewhere with people I trust is also better for my own health and sanity. I am sure there are many Assisted Living Facilities in the Ft. Myers/Cape Coral area, but I am glad that I stopped looking when I found the Windsor. It has become an important part of the final chapter of my Mother’s life and I am eternally grateful.Nisey Wee
Not too big, not too small, but just right to care for your loved ones. I have a 7 year experience with the Windsor of Cape Coral. My lady friend started there with mild dementia and Parkinson's disease. She was able to communicate and could take care of most of her hygiene and daily personal functions. What I liked about the Windsor was their "cafeteria" style care options. It allowed you to save some money if your loved one could function somewhat independently but allows you to ramp up care as needed till you reach the maximum of 2 staff members helping to move the resident and assisting in their daily care. What I really liked about the facility was the Living room and dining area. It was always lively and kept the residents engaged. I found the vast majority of their staff to be compassionate and caring people, they definitely KNOW their residents . My friend was never treated like a hospital patient. She did have some less than desirable interactions with some staff members, but I found management to be responsive to our concerns and corrected the situation immediately. The facility has the feel of a Marriott and the food is pretty good, I just wish the chef would cook for his audience, crispy and spicy didn't work out so well. They have the Reflections area which is a more care intensive lock down unit. It prevents patients from wandering out of the facility. My friend was able to reside here right up to the end with the help of Hospice care. Put me down as a very satisfied customer, I will recommend them to anyone looking for quality assisted living care for their loved one.Kevin McGrail
My many thanks to Windsor at Cape Coral for showing professional care, safety and comfort to my brother and family. Gina and nurse Kimberly are always willing to talk to family and assist us in every way possible. This place is clean and caring and the staff and residents are very kind and considerate. The Windsor team provides residents privacy, but also assistance as needed. The facility offers many opportunities throughout the day and evening for residents to get together and enjoy different activities and socials. We are appreciative of their care and concern and feel very fortunate and blessed to have found this place. I highly recommend it to anyone searching for a safe and caring place to live. Thank you Windsor team!!!F Wolf

Review Summary
I would not recommend the memory care portion of this facility at all. They are unable to handle a person dealing with sundowners. My mother was in the facility just short of two months. While having episodes of sundowners, the staff routinely called my family to come handle the situation. They also do not tell the truth. My mother got out of the memory care portion. One staff member stated my mother was outside by the road. Another person stated that she only went out to the lobby area. Another incident, we received a call stating my mother fell in the bathroom and was asleep on the floor. Another staff member stated they believe she was looking for a lost hearing aid on the floor and fell asleep on the floor by the bed. A fall in the bathroom or getting down to look for a hearing aid…which is the story your using. Final straw, after another “sundowners” type incident, my mother was taken to the hospital. Meds were changed. At 11 am on her release day, we were told she could come back to the waters. Asked questions about how they would handle her etc. We were told that they would work with her and not be sending her to Park Royal the psych hospital to have meds further adjusted. My sister went to the facility at 3:45 waiting on the transport from the hospital to the waters. When she walked in she was told that Beth was on the phone with Park Royal making arrangements to have my mother placed over there. When we confronted Beth she said that my mother had needed to be there earlier in the day, so that they can work with her. How did a meeting at 11 am without a return time (like anyone can control a hospital release time and a transport) turn into you placing my mother in Park Royal. When my mother return to the Waters, my sister met the transport ambulance. When my mother told the driver, that my mom was going home with her, the transport driver said he was glad because he did not like what he sees when he picks residents up from here. There is little interaction with staff and patients. Walk in to see staff sitting on their phones. Beth, Christine have been the two I’ve talked to personally and I do not trust them.Mary Bentivegna
I would not recommend placing your loved one here . My father has been here 1.5 years in the Memory Care Unit and they do absolutely nothing for his care here . They never change him , make sure he's clean , and pay no mind to putting his depends on like they're supposed to . I come here to visit and he always smells of urine, no depends on , shoes and clothes on backwards. The staff is absolutely lazy and forget about administration , when you bring something to their attention , they "yes" you to death and promise things will change . Beth and Christine are about as cold as ice. Both of them are heartless individuals and should not be working in this profession . They don't care about the residents , just care about who they can get placed there to meet their quota!! .They brush things off and do nothing to discipline their staff for not doing their job . Everyday I have to come here and shower him , take his clothes home to wash ( if I didn't , they'd never get washed ) .this is a service he's paying for , as well as showering , cleaning the room …etc… My brother and I do their work and still paying a price for full care ! They barely have any activities for the people in the Memory care Unit . When I walk in , half of them are just sitting in the dining area, sometimes asleep in the tables, or in their rooms . These people need their minds going at all times and nothing . They do more for the people on the Assisted living side . Very sad to say the least! I am highly disappointed in this place and have now rated them 1 star , when a year ago I thought they were 5 !Shannon
Well the way they treated the situation with my father in law is unacceptable.. When we had our first meeting here before he moved in.They were asked if he took a turn for the worse and was put on hospice if he could still be able to come back to this facility. They said yes it's his home.So after being in the hospital at discharge they made up very excuse to deny his coming back there.I should be able to give them a zero if I could. We offered to be there to feed him. Then the final decision was him not being weight bearing.how many hospice patients did you have that were? They lie from day one! I know this is an assisted living facility but come on.I live a.5 miles away and told them to call anytime and I would be there if assistance was needed. To top it off they told the hospital to put down he was a Hoyer lift so they wouldn't have to take him back.Which is another lie. Such a shady outfit.UPDATE Beth had the gall to ask me to change my review because it was harsh.Well telling the truth can be harsh and have no reason to lie.Ive emailed there Corporate there no response. To top things off a resident told me it was a good thing to get him out of here and they only care about money. But the nurses and most CNA are good from what I personally say.But managment is another story.Well I'm done and never looking back.David Swanson

Review Summary
I live in New Jersey and my mom lives in Fort Myers, Florida. I have used these folks for several years to provide quality care for my mother, who is this side of 101 years old and has dementia. They have always taken excellent care of her. Hurricane Irma really put them to the test. Mom had to be evacuated twice because both her home and the company office fell in the mandatory evacuation zones. With only limited staff available due to the hurricane, the owner, Tom Dean, took it upon himself to insure Mom was moved to a safe place with a dedicated caregiver as well as himself looking after Mom. After the storm had passed, Mom was moved back to their office, which had a generator to provide electricity and A/C. Tom personally checked out Mom's house and let me know if was only lacking electricity. Today the power came on and Mom is now back at home. These folks really care about their clients. They went way above and beyond to insure my Mom was cared for under extremely difficult circumstances. I could not recommend them more highly!Sam Rabinowitz
I would give them 5 stars. If I could give them more I would. We have been using them for 3 years now and my experience has been so positive. I live out of state so I am totally dependent of Comfort Keepers to provide care for my mom. They provide care for her seven days a week and we have had last minute emergencies where I have needed more help at the last minute. They have always come through. Image what it is like to have your 90 year old father on the way to the hospital with your invalid mother at home. They assured me they would get someone, not to worry. They have worked tirelessly in order to find the right fit for my mother. In case you are worried that I am connected to them in some way, because this is such a raving report, I am not. I would never consider another company when looking for home health care. They are without a doubt the best!! I am on a first name basis with those assigned to my moms case. When I call, I never feel like I am a number. I can guarantee if you use them you will be pleased.Laurie Detweiler
Someone complain to their (general manager/manager) after just having them do 3 things off the lists (small lite cleaning). Instead of speaking to me, they had to tell their (general manager/manager) who then told me about their complaint. They weren’t even around for a month and when Ian came. They didn’t even want to owe for the hours that were missed. I even tried to get 2-4 hours for the hours lost, for the following week, from the previous week (they said they couldn’t). But when I spoke to the (general manager/manager), she even said herself, there was nothing she could do about it. I wouldn’t recommend Comfort Keepers of Ft Myers to anyone.Veronica Gonzalez

Horrible beware. I started out being paid at $12 per hour which was the incorrect rate, never got compensated after 30 days of being paid incorrectly. Took me five months to receive the commuter benefits. Then after I found an agency paying me Waymore I was told that they had an increase I find that odd that you were in notify any of your employees. Then asking for their tax information they said that was proprietary. This place is absurd unprofessional and the time I was there was never ever at ease . Many other agencies that are efficient for cdpap.Raquel Ruiz

Review Summary
When my husband Walt and I decided we wanted to take the stress out of our life and move to a Senior Independent Living facility we pretty much thought we would go to Gulf Coast Village since my mom had been here when it was only 2 years old and it was such a wonderful experience for her and us. But our only child lived in Texas and wanted us to move to out there. So we took a trip to visit her and toured 4 or 5 of the facilities in the area. While it was close to her and they were all new and beautiful but not in the weather we had gotten used to in SW Florida and we felt that perhaps being closer to her could wait until only one of us was alive. While sad, she understood how we felt but asked that we explore other newer facilities in our area to make sure that Gulf Coast Village was the right one for us. While we had been attending many of the social gatherings at Gulf Coast Village, met residents and staff and felt right at home we honored her request. We visited 4 or 5 of the local facilities that were newer and met the people who were marketing them. All very nice people and lovely facilities but not all were "Forever Care" and they all had such a "clinical" feel to them. While they were newer they lacked the "I am home" feeling that the wooded campus of Gulf Coast Village had. At that point we were sold. It was not easy to make such a drastic move but once settled in we felt like we were living on a cruise ship. Now while that was impressive, it is nothing compared to the feeling of living in a lovely little section of a wonderful mansion with so many things to do and with so many others who are sharing the experience. And even that… is nothing compared to living in a place with staff that treats you with love and patience as though you are family. We truly wish we had done this 5 years ago when we were younger instead of waiting. It would have been so much easier. But thankfully we did do it and turns out when all factors are considered such as food, entertainment, maintenance etc….it is less money monthly to live here in our little piece of heaven. Perhaps you will decide to join us in the experience. If you do, be sure to looks us up. Jacqui and Walt Smithjacqueline smith
I am sad that I had to leave even 1 star. I spent 34 days in this facility and I have to say it was the worst experience of my life. 9 I have never left a bad review but I feel compelled as far as this place is concerned. The food was terrible and the meals were always cold. The entire time I was there I think I had 1 warm meal. They moved me 3 times I had to wait for the 2hrs the 2nd time while they cleaned and sanitized a room for me. Well guess what the room they gave me was filthy, shoes stuck to the floor and bugs were running rampant. It had not been cleaned. It was so disgusting that my physical therapist cleaned the floor with wet paper towels. I was in that room for 2 weeks and they never cleaned it. Also my call button did not work there were times I had to wait a long time for help to the bathroom. I tested positive for covid after 3 weeks because they moved the patients with covid right next door to me. They hung a curtain in the hallway to keep the covid germs away, what a joke. Half of the time the nurses and CVNs didn't wear the proper garments to enter my room. I even had a nurse come mto my room.with no gloves,no mask, and no paper gown. l called management nearly every day to no avail. Lynn DavisLynn Davis
How does one manage a pandemic? Let me tell you how Gulf Coast Village does it. They do it by caring. Every hour of every day they care by providing us with meals in our apartments, activities we can do either by ourselves or in small groups well spaced apart, shopping at stores for us, taking us to our doctor appointments, and providing for those with special needs. For each of these actions, the well trained staff demonstrate remarkable patience, skill, and humor. The dining selections offered in our weekly menu show the imagination and talent in our kitchen. Although the servings are boxed, each item is carefully prepared, and the proof is in the tasting. The meals are distributed by the dining room servers to our door where we make our selection for the day. They may suggest and offer help as well as recommendations, but maintain the strict discipline required for our isolation. With everyone wearing a face mask, recognition of our servers is difficult. I want to tell them all how much I appreciate what they, and the entire staff, are doing to make us comfortable and safe during this seriously troubling epidemic. May God bless them!.Stuart Hodes

SHS was a godsend in the transitioning of my mom into assisted living! The were able to assist her with showers, medicines (3x a day!) and making sure she got something healthy to eat. Barbra in particular was outstanding in her attention and care of my mom. She helped show me the way to make sure mom’s CPAP machine was clean and healthy for her to use. Going above and beyond to assure my mom’s health and well-being has endeared myself to them enough to give a review. It takes a lot for me to submit a review much less a 5 star one! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, SHS!!!!R. Robinson
