My husband was on the nursing wait list for ten years. He is a veteran and a hard worker. He was told the RN wait list was 2-3 years by Sue Helmer. The professors goals are to make students repeat classes for monetary gain. This is what happened to my husband and several of his classmates. Failure is encouraged at this school. Students teach themshelves. My husband have retaken most of his classes because some of his teachers could not find proof of his final grades. Also the office lost his important paper work. He was marked down for failing the classes, and had to retake them over. Cora Beute, and Michelle Richter refused to look into their system, and marked him absent for classes when he was present. The financial aid department charged him twice for many of his classes.The administration took advantage of him having auto pay for classes. He was overcharged several of times. One thing after the next. My husband is now attending Grand Valley University. He had to retake more than seven classes over because some of GRCC classes are not transferable. A bunch of time wasted. My husband regret going to GRCC. I will recommend anyone to run from this scum of a place.护士Diane

Admission staff isn't very helpful. I'm being told on the FAFSA and by others if you live alone you do not have to fill out the parent information field just to call up here and have them tell me that's not the case. I'm in my twenties with my own place. Not seventeen just getting out of HS. I graduated five years ago so why do I need parent info? This is the latest addition though to a list of complaints. Just finally annoyed enough to leave a review. I've been considering for the last few years going to school and I have not committed yet due to personal circumstances. But every time I do seriously set my sights on it I find myself frustrated with the people I end up speaking with. Only giving two stars because I'm hopeful that my experience with the education side of things will be a lot better than all the tedious steps you have to do just get in and get assistance.A. My short experience has been good here. Although parking can be a mess, and often times people's card will not allow them to leave (it lets them in though) and the person on the telecom won't let them out, they want them to back up (when there's 20 cars bumper to bumper in line waiting to leave) and come inside. Or they can pay 4x the regular amount via credit card and then they'll be able to leave right then and there. Unnecessary hassle, a joke considering they're getting thousands of dollars every DAY simply from parking fees alone. Should attend common sensical decency meeting once a year.Patrcia Clemons

I attended this school for a short time. The teachers were very rude and very very often let personal opinions get in the way of educating students. If you worked your hardest but a teacher's opinions differed from your own, you would get a bad grade simple as that. I've been told by other students that they are also very homophobic. When I decided to drop out they made the process a headache. One of the staff there named Tom told me I would not be able to be successful in my life without his school. I then immediately dropped out. Don't send your kids here if you want them to succeed in film, let them get experience and please look elsewhere. Absolutely fantastic experience. The food was wonderful, but the actual experience of the murder mystery was a blast from start to finish. Donna and Tom not only managed to lead a group of mostly shy programmers into donning costumes and diving deep into the character aspect of the event. No one was quite sure what we were getting into, but by the end of the evening we were exhausted from laughter. It was clever, enjoyable, challenging in the most enjoyable ways, and a completely different experience than what I expected. Note: if you want the most out of it, PLAY ALONG! I go to GR Voice Collective to take singing lessons. I have been taking lessons with the same teacher for years! And I'm not exaggerating about the time. It's been about three years. My tutor is a very understanding and joyful lady! She's always cheery and puts in the effort to make me smile when I have not-so-good days. The lessons always leave me feeling better about my voice and talent. I always skip out the door in a much better mood than when I walk through the door for the hour and I think that's important. Mrs. Elizabeth is an extremely talented teacher and she makes it her duty to do her best to pass that to her students. She is very helpful when you get a note or two wrong. She's taught me so much and I've come so far from day one. She's patient. She's made me so much more than I used to be (both voice wise and otherwise.) This theater is a Beautifully restored piece of the past. It is a intimate setting in the theater. The antique seating is aesthetically pleasing but not comfortable. We sat through a very enjoyable 2.5 hour play. If you’re overweight and tall it’s a very cramped sardine tight seating experience. There isn’t any leg room. Luckily the theatre wasn’t full or I would have had a stranger next to me basically on top of me. Other than the tiny uncomfortable antique seats the remaining expirence was good. The concessions were popcorn with many salt flavors to choose from. I must say the popcorn seemed not fresh or hot. Several choices of candy and soda. No bottled water choices. The restrooms were updated and clean and stocked. Over all it was a very enjoyable experience all be it a snug seat fit! They did have two pairs of free standing chairs in the back row in the handicapped spaces. That is an option if you’re a tall larger person.Yeah Buddy Forreal

Looking for a theatre with regular showcases & community-building events? Well, then look no further! The Wealthy Theatre is a place to be! We were here last year for the Thriller! Chiller! Film Festival! What a great time! It was local, independent film-making at its best! We met industry folks & film enthusiasts, watched thriller shorts & suspense features all day long! 💀 We bought tickets online which was super easy and parked in the small lot behind the theatre. Old style movie theater and the crowd was quite interactive which was fun. Looks bigger than it really is, but seats were comfortable. Hosts revolving plays ranging from children friendly to adult only. We went to Avenue Q a while back and it was a great evening. Very funny show and good performance. Right downtown so it's an easy walk to several eateries or bars after a show if you want a full evening out. The kids in the production were absolutely amazing. I wish we lived closer so that we could see all the productions they present. Review Summary

If you live near Grand Rapids, then this is the best place to see the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra, Opera Grand Rapids, Broadway Grand Rapids, and various touring performances. Don't get me wrong, the Concert Hall is not an intimate theatre. It is very dated in it's design. I prefer the layout and design of the Civic Theatre, but it's not large enough to accommodate most touring shows. The acoustics are not as nearly good as Saint Cecilia Society's Royce Auditorium. That said, it does provide access to a large number of shows that would otherwise be unattainable in the city.Eric Wermuth

Went and experienced Gustav Mahlers second symphony "The Resurrection" The performance was amazing. The orchestra and choir were in fine form. The auditorium was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the seats need updating. They are narrow with hard wooden armrest and were hard to get comfortable in. Overall a wonderful experience.Justin Sytsma
