We just did a visit and we are very disappointed! Our daughter would have been a transfer student and she spent a lot of time & energy reaching out to Fort Lewis and talking with them. She was accepted & she has phenomenal grades! When we got there & she met Kayla, Kayla didn’t even remember her. The tour was very informal, with a huge group (we had toured many colleges), they showed us their worst dorms, they took us in 1 classroom, and mostly ran us through the tour. They didn’t even offer lunch (which is very important). My daughter had put down that she wanted to meet with some professors and financial aid and at the end of the tour Kayla just told everyone, “Okay, thank you for coming”! Our daughter told her she had meetings with financial aid & to meet with some professors… Kayla & Shelby had no idea what she was talking about! Shelby gave her the name, number & an email of a professor instead of having that professor reach out to our daughter. Obviously they aren’t in need of students! They just pushed their beautiful campus & all of the outdoor activities they offer, instead of their academics! So if all you want is a school with a lot of fun things to do & in a tourist town this is for you!Debi Laib

The facilities are poor and the dorms are even worse. The technology at FLC is terrible, the computers rarely work, and good luck finding good WiFi. The professors are really nice though, but the some of the students didn't seem to care much about their education. The professors really try to help their students succeed though. Oh, they also lied about having my major 2 months into my education there. They told me they no longer offered my major, despite the fact that when I registered for classes, my advisor told me everything about my major there. Never said a thing about it no longer being offered there. Luckily I got my money back and went to a way better school. So, please do yourself a favor and do NOT apply here. A lot of my friends had the same thing happen to them on this campus. I am a lot happier and am doing great at my current university with a 4.0, a university which, by the way, has my major and has not lied to my face once in the 3.5 years I have attended.Kassidy Dunnigan

I graduated in 2011 and Fort Lewis was amazing. I studied geology (but most of my roommates and friends studied business). The professors were exceptional. They loved their respective field, gave relentless effort and tolerated immature undergrads with grace and enthusiasm. Durango is a super safe and fun mountain town. I was able to intern in my field at several places within the region and select a career path that suited my interests. We took loads of field trips all over the southwest. Terrible school. They charge you an absurd amount for supplies after you've paid for classes and do not disclose it will be a charged item (Or that you will be kicked out of the class and your seat given to another person if you do not pay. You know, the class you already paid for and got in?). Not only that, this is a second job for most teachers, so good luck finding one that actually has enough energy or fs to give to teach a night or afternoon classes. Dont forget that they like to cut class lengths in half (Semester to a quarter), double the amount of time in class (from 2-4 hours), not inform anyone in the class of this AND move the location of where the class is supposed to be last minute to another campus. Oh! And let's stack on more homework than a someone taking a doctorate because the teachers figured that using an online program will make it so they only need to sit around, and they dont care enough to have the class there for the entire 4 hours. DO NOT GO HERE. GO LITERALLY TO ANY OTHER SCHOOL IN THE STATE KIDS. It's a bigger cash grab than a pyramid scheme. Only reason youd ever take a CMC class is for an AP Highschool class. I cannot stress that youd have more fun waisting your money on yourself over this absolute joke of a school.Carlton Phelps

This is my second semester at CMC. I really love the teachers and the price!! I would recommend anyone to attend here, especially if you are an in-district student. It's very affordable! I have found the teachers to be amazing. All of my teachers have been very engaging and interested in helping me succeed in my career goals. I would say there is only one downside that I have encountered and that is lack of flexibility in scheduling. I needed very specific classes, and they all seemed to be scheduled on top of each other. This led me to a stretched out schedule and lots of miles traveled (& wasted time) to other campuses to get in the classes I need. I graduated in Food Science at Colorado State in 2011. The education in the classroom and in life that I received while I attended university was life changing. I met some of the best people I have had in my life and I pursued my love for nutrition and food science while I was there. My degree opened up many doors for me in my career in the brewing industry and at the time the undergrad brewing course was one of the only ones in the country. I am so glad I attended CSU and I can say without a doubt my life and career would not be the same had I not gone here. My daughter and I visited the campus as it currently ranks number 3 for Veterinary Medicine. The staff was genuine, sincere and gracious. They setup one on one meetings to make the visit extremely personal. They appeared to have the students best interest at heart and even supplied a full day parking pass. The facilities appeared updated and state of the art. They were heads and shoulders above our visit at Texas aTm. The only prevention of a five star rating was partially our fault as we were unable to get a tour of the school of medicine.Andy Benavidez

I have studied in here as an international student for one year, but now I transfer to another college. The main reason is the reputation of the CSU college of business. The employment rate of international students after they graduation is so low, and I rarely find one get even an internship. Although there are lots of nice people live here, you get almost nothing to do in this dull town besides hiking or playing with your dogs.王信

Pros: I like Colorado College, and the block plan and small intimate class size really intrigued me into coming here, even though I'm not a native Coloradan. It's definitely a great location if you love the outdoors and a good four seasons of weather. Those are the main reasons I chose this school. I quickly learned that I could fit in here! Additionally, I love CC's approaches to learning such as their sustainability agreement and anti racist approach. They're even starting to pick up on mental health which everyone can agree is very important nowadays. The block plan is a great way to learn content, especially if balancing multiple semester classes at once doesn't seem desirable to you. If that is the case, consider this school, since there's only about less than 10 schools on the Block Plan. Overall, I'd give CC as a whole 5 out of 5 stars, and I hope you consider attending! While wandering around the campus, I had numerous people ask if I needed anything or help me find different places. The buildings and sights are great. Beautiful area to walk through and enjoy the trees and the grass. be aware that they are currently requiring masks anywhere on campus so even walking around outside you'll need a mask. It's their private property so they can do what they want. It's a small sacrifice to make though to enjoy the space.Josh West

Where you send your kids to school is a decision you make with your heart. When both of your kids are born premature some 30 years ago and from the beginning are in a fight for their lives, you pray, you plead and you promise. You promise that if somehow they can live that you will give them the best. That is where the Colorado Springs School came in. It was the right decision. It was FAMILY from the beginning. In a setting out of Gatsby, with small classes, a progressive educational system focusing on children getting experiential learning and planned trips all over the world, this school built confidence, built experience, and built lifelong friendships. My kids still have many close friends from their days at CSS. My daughter went from a precocious kindergarten dufus to become an attorney. She married on the campus, in the majesty of the Trianon, with many of her CSS classmates and teachers in attendance. My son went from a Ninja Turtle moon boot kindergarten picture on the CSS steps to an international business degree at DU, and now pursues a commercial real estate practice in Denver. He will marry there this summer and many CSS and DU friends will be in attendance. The CSS education started with ice cream socials, proceeded to big friend, little friend, was a flurry of intensive and personal education and trips all over the world, and ended with graduation as the kindergartners sang to the seniors. It was a dream. My kids played almost every sport, my daughter was a cheerleader, sports were incredible and both were class leaders. This small school gave them a chance to do everything. EVERYTHING. Both kids later coached at the school. My wife and I have gone to games for years after our kids graduated. Every time it is like an old home week reunion. The Colorado Springs school was the best decision we ever made. Let's be clear: deciding where your kids go to school is exercising control. You are controlling where your kids are educated, by whom they are educated, and who they get to grow up with in a real and personal way. Just as you decide what they eat and what sports they play and many other facets of their lives, giving your kids an education at this school gives you the ability to give your kids your best shot. None too soon your kids will use their fresh, clear eyed (and all knowing) 18 year old knowledge of the world to choose their college and oh boy is that an eye opener. This school offers an amazing education. My three kids each started the school when they were 3 years old. This school has supported them, given them opportunities at every turn, and challenged them to grow as people. Two of my kids have now graduated from the high school, and the third will graduate next year. Beware, if you purchase box seats on the left side of the theater, there is ZERO access to bathrooms. Up four flights of stairs and on the right side of the theater. You'll miss the opening number. I guess it's better than spending $300 per ticket on Hamilton and looking at the back of an old white guy's head for 2.5 hours. Apparently there was a rotating stage… Another bonus: while you go to the bathroom and send your kid to wait in line for 15 minutes for water, they only take cards so you also don't get any water. Last night we got to see a performance of Choir Boy. The actors themselves were wonderful and the set minimal. It's always interesting how a couple of benches can be shuffled around a stage and you know exactly what space is being depicted. The show has shower scenes that were so elegantly done that the nudity became part of the art. A difficult subject put to the audience and demystified. We have had season tickets since 1986 and look forward to each production.Mimi Platte

I only walked through the huge "atrium" bit. It was breath-taking. The arched skylights, the birds ambiently singing, the ample walking space. I've yet to attend a show here, but the selection was amazing. Many glamor shots were taken.Daniel Pitas

This is such a fantastic place!! They have so many different things to see and do. I love that they offer a lot of free options so it’s a great place to take kids too. We saw a musical, Into the Woods. It was absolutely perfect! The set was high quality, the cast was beyond expectation, and the music/lighting was without flaw. The intimate nature of the theater makes for a even better experience. They offer food and drinks as well. Outside of the performance, we love all of the art, inside and out. Was there for the Mozart Under the Moon concert. Claud Shim was amazing as the violin concert master. Bought general admission tickets where you sit on the lawn. I would recommend sitting at the top or the bottom of the hill because it has a decent slope and blankets just make you slide down and stadium chairs require something under them to stay level. There is plenty of parking. I would recommend parking below row D because everyone exiting the concert will be blocking traffic. I moved my car closer during intermission and made that mistake. Have not seen music or any performing arts here. The sculpture field is cool, there is a sculpture park with a big dragon which is cool for kids to play on. These are the words that describe this school (in no particular order): polished, well-rounded, mature, cultured, sophisticated, enlightened, EDUCATED, encouraging, dedicated, and ARTSY. The teachers and staff work well with 504 plans and have an excellent exchange student program. A special shout out to Rhonda Cameron, the music teacher. She is absolutely brilliant and understands music in a way that translates beautifully to the children. The 2017/2018 Advanced Choir's spring performance was on point. (Helpful tip: Freshman year takes some getting used to but isn't freshman year always hard? My advice: Stick with it.) This theater is way bigger than you’d think. The downside to that is not all seats have the best acoustics or maybe it was the one show I saw so far. I’ll update or change my review if I discover I’m wrong. We were up in the nosebleed seats of the Balcony and could barely tell what gender the actors were, let alone if they had glasses on. It was really hard to understand the words people were singing or saying at times. So either the actresses had bad diction/enunciation or it’s the theater design. They take their security in my opinion a bit too seriously and that slowed u significantly down for getting into the show. Make sure to check the site and know what is and isn’t allowed to expedite the process. No water bottles allowed. We barely got to our seats in time because the lines weren’t moving for people having items not allowed for the metal detector/bag check. Overall clean theater. We went to go see “Menopause the Musical.” Wish I could say it seems like a good value for your money, but $35 (discounted) tickets in the nosebleed section with poor sound and visibility isn’t exactly a great deal compared to DC and NYC theaters. The seats were more comfortable than most I’ll give you that. Also not happy the show did ePlaybills instead of physical Playbills. I’ll keep giving them a try since there’s not a lot of others options in this area. Sometimes they do military discounts through the bases so check that out also.Chelsea C

This is always a pleasant place for an evening of entertainment. The seating in aisle K is pretty scrunched, to make extra room behind it, but enough room remaining if you are of average height/leg length. The staff is very helpful and the environment is welcoming and warm. The facility is always very clean and well maintained. It is a moderately sized venue, so you don't get swallowed by the crowd. With all the improvements to the downtown area flanking the center, it makes for a very pleasant experience.pete mitchell

Went to a Weird Al concert recently. The venue is great! We had a blast. The tickets were easy to purchase, the app worked well, and getting in was pretty easy. The one thing they could've done better is to have the bar located farther from the merchandise area. The lines were intermingling and it was hard to tell what line was for what. The Trans-Siberian Orchestra was a spectacular two and a half hour presentation! This included fog, snow and three dimensional multiphase, multicolored lights, Globes and lasers. The Flaming cannons, both front and back, produced enough Heat to roast marshmallows. It was quite a surprise but it felt pretty good. All in all the choir and the orchestra were incredible. This is pretty much the average event hall. Plenty of graduations, concerts, and sports games occur here. There’s a lot of space, but enough for the graduations of the biggest high schools in the state. You might have to crane your neck a bit, but there really isn’t a bad view in the place. I would recommend anyone interested in attending this school to look much deeper than what is presented on the days they have set up for tours and new students. I was interested in the school for my son but many negative and scary information has come to light as I started to dig. I agree with joshua TFB review on here and have also found out that it gets worse than what he has mentioned. I wanted to share my thoughts of the Screening Room AV. I have always been into audio, video and home theater. As a matter of fact, if I could do it for a living, I would. But my experiences with TSR have been nothing short of amazing. I have a dedicated theater above my garage. I am running a JBL Synthesis SDP-55, JVC RS3000 paired with a 110" Stewart StudioTek 130 G4 MP, and fully treated acoustic environment with a combination of Vicoustic absorption, 2D diffusion, and 3D diffusion. My room looks and sounds amazing if I must admit myself. The screening room deal in the highest end AV equipment and John Schuermann is such a great guy! My sales reps, Zach and Aaron are also wonderful to work with. Their service is always very prompt and they will always take care of you after the sale. I could not be happier with how the folks treated me during my transactions with TSR. I recently attended a TSR projector shoot-out (8/21) with all the top companies and projectors from Epson, JVC, and Sony. They even had the unreleased Sony 5000 and 7000 series projectors. It was brilliant to be able to meet the company reps and have an unbiased review, calibration, and shootout for the top projectors. John, Steve and the TSR team were amazing hosts and it was such an enjoyable event. I was even able to tour and enjoy John's demo room at his personal residence and was blown away. By the way, the JVC projectors DESTROYED the competition. If you are looking for the best people, best equipment, and best service, I strongly encourage you to talk the Screening Room AV. I live in Florida and have bought all of my recent equipment from them without regret. Amazing organization that deliver the best measuring, unbiased equipment to your door with great prices. Love our experience here! The instructors are patient, knowledgeable, friendly, and fun! Family run and owned! They keep classes small and relaxed, usually with fun music to keep you focused though. You can really see the change in our dog from first day to 3rd week graduation from obedience 1. I thought my dog was just high strung and anxious, she just needed some positive reinforce and fun exercises. They make it easy to keep up at home and easy to understand the reasons behind what we are doing. Very clean. Never smells! Great selection of treats, toys, and gear! Adore the doggy snack bar full of bones, antlers, cod skins, and more. We love the puppy cupcakes at the end of class as well. Also affordable pricing for classes and retail. We are amazed by the front lead harness they told us about! I cannot recommend this place enough! Zoom Room is absolutely phenomenal! I have been looking for a way for my dog to get some extra exercise and stimulation, as well as get him out of the house for a while. I brought my dog, Jackson, in for private gym time to see if he would enjoy the environment and he had a blast! JJ showed me how to help get Jackson involved with the appropriate obstacles and helped us pick a perfect walking harness that immediately stopped Jackson's pulling! I've already recommended Zoom Room Dog Training to at least 10 people and Jackson has only been once! We will definitely keep coming back and are hoping Jackson can work his way up to the group classes. I recommend you get a dog just so you can take them here!Jessica H

My husband and I got our first dog as adults in March. Milo was only 8 weeks when we got him and we wanted to make sure he is the best dog he can be. We have been doing training with him at the zoom room since he was 10 weeks old. It was great to have a safe place for him to play with other puppies before he was fully vaccinated. He has since moved into puppy plus and will be trying obedience 1 soon! Not only does Milo absolutely love going here, but JJ, Luisa and all the trainers and staff have been a wonderful resource for us first time dog owners/parents. This was an awesome way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Kids love the show. Cosmo wonderfully interacts with the children and parents. A unique and visually appealing setting, the experience begins with a reception in a super cool room complete with magic knickknacks and pictures to look at while you enjoy cookies. Cosmo mingles with folks until the theater opens. An expert at sleight of hand, his tricks are wonderful and truly entertaining—I wish I understood how his water on Jupiter trick worked. I had seen the evening show in the past and really enjoyed it. Today I took young relatives, ages 5 and 11, and it was so much fun. There was lots of audience participation and the show was definitely geared towards entertaining the kids. Cosmo has a very relaxed and engaging manner with the audience and fun was had by all! I started at Peak in September of 2018 and it was my first time acting. Christine Reed is an amazing Acting Coach and in general a really great person. You wont get any BS and she will always lead you the correct way. With Christine her students always come first even if that means she is losing money. The studio space is great and the other coach are welcoming and have great resumes so you know you are learning form the best. PEAK has some of the best people in the acting industry come in for workshops usually free of charge to students and all vetted by Christine to make sure her students are only getting the best. I really cant say enough about how great it has been to join PEAK and how enlightening it has been into the film and tv industry! Christine and all of the other instructors at PEAK are fantastic teachers and even more amazing people. They are knowledgable, approachable, and are always helping us to improve. I tried them out around 2014 and initially was impressed. Then the paperwork portion came into play and I got manipulated into signing on. I think I was even asked "who wears the pants in your relationship?" when I said I wanted to talk to my then partner before saying yes to anything. The people in class were great, but the office people were very shady. I really wish it had worked out but they shouldn't have done it that way. Edit in response to owner. Look, I wish it didn't happen that way. I was extremely happy with the class I took part of but that is what happened. It wasn't a sales pitch but I felt very pressured into signing up. I went to my local repair shop to ask questions about machine I purchased. Got the feeling I was bothering them and was told it would be 3-4 weeks out just to look at it. So I googled repair shops and came to Myers Company I was happy to read good reviews. So I called Tim last Wednesday for the first time, I explained to him that I purchased a used embroidery machine so I could learn to embroider. He said he thought he knew what the problem was but I needed to bring it in. I told him I lived in Pueblo and would be up on Friday. I went into a very pleasant and helpful shop. He looked my machine over and told me what was wrong. He said he would have to look for the part. He called me a short time later to tell me he did not have the part and was unable to order it because it was discontinued. I made another trip up to springs very disappointed and sad. When we arrived my husband asked Tim if he had any used machines for sale. Luckily he did he gave us a wonderful machine at an awesome price. I never write reviews but for Tim I just had to, I will never go anywhere to purchase another machine or service my own from anyone else but Tim. Awesome customer service, very friendly. I’m so thankful for Myers Sewing! The difference between family owned and a mega store is apparent from the moment you step in. Whether you visit their event center or store, you will have the best experience. Each person there is ready to meet you and help you in whatever way you need. I recently attended the after hours “lock-in” where we brought our machine and worked on projects, met new friends, learned from each other and had the best time. I don’t know that anyone else does this and it just further deepens the relationship and trust with Myers. As a customers, I confidently recommend them every time I’m in a fabric store and overhear someone needing help with their machine or searching for a new machine. I own the Brilliant by Babylock and it’s a dream machine. I have been able to finish projects faster and with less steps than I was on my previous machine.Christina Matlock

I was thrilled to have my sewing machine repaired on the spot and very inexpensive. It felt really good to work with an honest company. The man was very kind and genuine. I called two places before taking my machine to be repaired. I was hoping I wouldn't have to leave it. I have been trying to make masks for a month, but have been having problems with my machine. Myers looked at my machine when I was there, and informed me it'd be a minor fix. I was able to take my machine home. I appreciated that the nice man told me it was a simple fix. I highly recommend this business! With all the horrible things happening in our world today: it was refreshing to work with a place that didn't overcharge me to make a profit.rhonda maher

Incredible. Just saw IN THE HEIGHTS and it was, in my opinion, better than the film version. This show lends itself to be live on stage; between the impeccable talent, production values and design, and the overall experience, it was Broadway quality. The actors that played Nina and Benny stole the show, but everyone was top notch. Do yourself a favor and check out this gem before it closes!Ben B

Our youngest son had a blast with his Aladdin class this semester. In his words, it was "extraordinary." He had fun learning songs and dances and working with talented children. He also said, "Sarah's a great teacher." Through this class he believes he is better at listening, singing and dancing. For our family, ACT has provided wonderful opportunities for our kids to grow not just creatively and gaining experience and confidence in public speaking, but they've grown emotionally as well, learning greater empathy and understanding for others through the roles they've played.
