Jennifer Neibling is an absolute delight, she in an angel of an admissions advisor who has helped me constantly for several weeks and makes sure to stay on top of my case (even while she has her hands full with countless students!) she is professional, sweet, caring, kind, optimistic, and motivates you to be the best you can be! To be completely honest, she is one of the main reasons I want to attend Plaza. I have never seen a program/admissions assistant so eager to assistant you in making your career goals become reality. She has guided me throughout my entire admission’s journey, and will no doubt continue to help me progress through school. I visited as a new patient for a student dentist. It’s a new building with new equipment and most importantly clean environment. Everything takes much longer for a full overview of me teeth since she’s a student being examined. It’s nothing like having a normal dentist visit. She checked my blood pressure, pulse, even sited a small mole on my neck and gave me skin awareness and skin cancer advice. Then neck and jaw was checked and each tooth’s gum is measured and then x-rays! This was all done under the general supervision of professional and thorough Senior Dentist. Then time was up! I have visit again another day to finish with further study of each tooth, brushing technique and scaling I hope at the end!Farnoosh Famouri-Lee

Being a student at Plaza College was such an amazing journey! Starting in the Career Pathways Program, I worked my way up to earning a high GPA with the help of my amazing professors, peers, and faculty staff members. Additionally, participating in Student Life activities gave me the push to further my education in the Associates AND Bachelor's program for Business Administration & Management. Plaza College became a second home for me. I earned an amazing step as becoming a member and officer in the English honor society, Sigma Kappa Delta. I was able to become a student worker due to my attentiveness and hard work in my grades. Overall, my time here at Plaza College is unforgettable!Keena Williams

Extremely odd layout for lots compared to all other land-grant universities I’ve had the opportunity to visit. Parking lots are all across main public roads, which is inconvenient. Professors are decent, with a major inconvenience of not being allowed to write their own material for classes (especially the mathematics departments, they are all forced to use the same program and note guides for everything). This is paired with the university not wanting to have multiple exams, so they lump mathematics exams all together for a subject into the wee hours of the morning, before all other classes. Obviously this has a negative result on performance for all the classes, but they saved money not changing the numbers 5 times! Also, be warned that the advisors are not there to help you, but seemingly to lock you into paying for classes regardless of whether you want them or not. There are holds for the next semester that are automatically placed on your account after the withdraw with refund date for a semester has passed, so that if you want to drop a class later on, you need to get the hold removed (even though it’s for a later semester). I have yet to hear of an advisor that will do this without trying to insist that you meet with them during office hours, even if you clearly state that you know what you’re doing and you just need the hold removed. Just for comparison, the community college I earned my AA degree at had advisors that were available to assist you, but they did not place advising holds on your account, and you could add/drop classes on your own. The professors also got to write their own note guides and exams, which was highly beneficial to learning, largely because that meant you got to take exams during normal class times, and not 6:30 in the morning. The Brookings area also has a disappointing lack of attractions to keep you busy, the city owns the only liquor store, and the cost of living here is fairly high. All in all, if what you’re majoring in is only available here, then suffer through it, be aware of these traps that exist, and get out the other side. One of the better looking universities in the area, but recently it's gotten more expensive, the great professors have left or only teach 1-2 classes a year because of finding issues and out of classroom experience is tough. Honestly, I would only go here for an ag-degree. The others (art, comp sci, engineering, math, etc) fall short and nursing is very cutthroat (2 years of classes and you get one B means your not accepted). Engineering professors care, but experience outside the classroom is vital and its tough to get an internship or full time job outside Brookings without a connection. The only place to work is Daktranics but they aren't student friendly I've found year to year, classroom material differs, not covering necessary sections or professors hurry through concepts or examples to finish in time and expect you to fill in the gaps. Graduating in 4 years is tough, even 5 is hard with 16 credit semesters and summer classes. There also aren't enough quiet places to study. The library isn't big enough and don't have power outlets everywhere, voices echo in the dorms, classrooms are locked at night and weekends so you have to call campus police to let you in, coffee shops and the common areas don't have big enough tables to actually study; so good luck. Another thing is the lack of parking and car pooling into campus if you live off, the "required" dining plans the first two years where one meal costs $7-12 but you're only allotted $10 a day, the random closures at the gym, few jobs are available for students but tuition is high enough that you need 20-25 hours a week to afford next semester after government and school loans. Overall, it's decent looking school in the area, but there are some serious issues and I would have looked elsewhere if I knew these problemsBen Petersen

A terrible university, don't ever think of coming here, you will hate yourself. This university is like a trap once you enter you will be a hostage, they will tell you come we are affordable, and you think it is nice 4 year, it is NOT you will never graduate less the 7 year speaking of most degrees. Such a very beautiful campus! Staff and the students we met are very nice and helpful. I'm such a proud mom that my daughter is choosing to attend this Mount St. Mary's University. If you get the chance to go make sure to visit the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, it's a very beautiful place. You can walk through a outdoor Sanctionary and it is connected to the campus or you can take a short drive up.Pam Wyatt-Prattis

If i could legit give ZERO STARS, I would. This is NOT… I repeat NOT a good school. If you are design/business major the staff do NOT work with you and the accommodations are a joke. You have to re-do them all again next semester. Secondly… the RA's #do not do their job. We had a huge issue in our dorm building and restrictions had been in place for the people who were causing the issues not to come back into the building. The RA's allowed them back into the building, saying they were… "Safe" to be in the building. The building muse is even WORSE. the staff there don't take care of all the fights and drug use that happens there. Two of my friends were sexually assaulted in that building and left Radford because of it. I can't speak for other dormatories, but Muse and Trinkle are NO GO'S. People are very rude and try to start drama with you and also… if you do come to this school, please PLEASE lock your bedroom doors…. people like to steal! Also the graduate teachers are the WORST. I've had a few, all if whom didn't like their students. They're mucj younger teachers, fyi. I only have one grad student professor who is a decent human being. Also people here are really racist. There's so much racism and fights here, it's insane. It's better to pick another school if possible, Especially when it comes to safety. The staff do NOT care about your safetyM B

Radford University is a great place to go to college for someone that is looking for a great education, great facilities, an exciting campus life, and a friendly and united community. As an international student I've had a great experience in my two years that I've been studying at Radford. The faculty is great, well knowledgeable in their subjects, and are always willing to help you, the student life on and off campus is fun, the smaller class sizes enable you to learn better and enable you to get to know your professors, the campus is beautiful, the facilities are mostly modern and well equipped. The university is constantly investing and working in improving the quality of education, the competitiveness of the school, and resources that we have, and it is clearly getting better every time. I would definitely recommend anyone to come to RU an experience what I have experienced so far.Ivan Thirion

This school is truly a fraud! They are claiming to support the military and Join the Yellow Ribbon Program to get the recognition but the actual support is not even pennies against this multi-million dollar school. This program was built to assist in financially supporting Military and Family Members to attend schools out-of-state and abroad at a rate comparable, if not equal, to in-state students and help overcome the hardships of military families constantly moving in support of our nations freedom. It is a joke they are calling themselves Yellow Ribbon Program members; offering a measly $1000 against a $25,000 annual out-of-state tuition difference. Then to offer it to only 2 undergraduates and 2 graduates in a school of over 10,000!!….Really? I can get a better military discount at Waffle House! They are making a mockery of a Program that is TRULY built to SUPPORT our troops!!!John Chisolm

I just completed the MSN FNP program, however, my diploma/degree conferral is being held until September. As a result, I cannot obtain a license to practice until, at least, September. Most likely, it’s going to be even longer than that. I had a job lined up but, now that I have no way to get certified for, at least, two months, that’s gone. Oh, and, yes, it does state that at the end of the end of a page, after encouraging me to take two different certification exams which run upwards of $300 each just to sit for the exam. There are review courses available but each one runs about $395 if you want a reputable one. So, in summation, I have completed an advanced degree, have incurred the cost of this degree, still have to work as an RN for two to three more months, lost my potential job, and my diploma is, in essence, being held for ransom. Dr. Sara Runge and Dr. Eileen Shanahan arranged a summer Camp for GRAD Cincinnati this week (June 13th-June15th). This is our 7th year working with Dr. Runge and as in previous years the program was very well planned. The students were able to experience the campus life by staying in the dorms and all of the colleges with hands on experiences. The students' presentations indicated they all learned a great deal. They all stated we had a great time. Even though the weather hit a record high, the staff from NKU worked very hard to make certain the students had a fulfill campus experience. NKU staff and professors did an outstanding job providing a 3 day college tour/retreat for our High School students. NKU staff offered our students opportunities to explore their academic interests, participate in hands on activities and visit a variety of labs, which in turn helped spark new ideas for career options and educational pursuits. Students were given opportunities to ask questions, interact with professors, department heads, other staff members, and a student panel which helped them to understand college on a deeper level. I really question whether anybody that says UM is racist/riot fueled has ever been a student here. I can personally attest to the acceptance and diversity of the school. I've liked most of my professors, and other students have been friendly. I can honestly say that I've learned a lot from my classes and have been presented a lot of opportunities to succeed. If anyone works hard to get here, Ole Miss has many teachers and programs to reward you for your effort. That's what I look for in a college. We get bad press because we are in the South and it makes us an easy target for the media. They like to play off the stereotype that we are some backwards racists. Ask any student here about the "riot" and they'd probably laugh. I would challenge anyone to find a college that doesn't have any students that discriminate. Ole Miss is absolutely amazing! I love it for undergrad I am enjoying it for grad school and the advisors are one of a kind because they are actually invested in helping the students! I will say that as a commuter paying out of state tuition is not that great, if I can drive there daily I should be able to pay in state tuition. Also, it takes a while to get your financial aid, the office is always working and have people on task but if you can’t get into the office for some reason email, phone calls, and zooms as your secondary option takes much longer. As a parent, teacher, and full time student I rely heavily on my financial aid and each time it is just a hassle, I wish the process was smoother.Katrina McCrackin

Oxford is the best place to live in the south. There's always something to do and a great place to raise children. I loved attending Ole Miss and love my Rebels! I can't really complain about anything. We're close enough to travel to a beach, casino, Beale and Bourbon Street, yet we'd rather be sitting in The Grove on a home game weekend. I did an English course during the summer at KSU. The university is awesome. The campus is green and with many places to walk. The facilities at residences, dining rooms, sports center and classrooms are modern. The professors and staff are very attentive and service-minded. Ursuline College states the college has the highest academic and graduation rate in their nursing program. Ursuline College is not the only nursing program where students are learning their curriculum on becoming a successful nurse. I've known previous and current students who have graduated from other schools that offered the nursing program for an Associates or a Bachelors degree, and have moved on to successful careers at major hospitals in the greater Cleveland area. My experience here in my first semester has been a disaster. On my very first day, I attended a class called First Year Semester, and I had to drop out of it because during a group session with Dr. Johnson who literally accosted and debased me right in the front of the class, all because I expressed my opinion on the challenges of being flexible when you're working and collaborating with your peers. That has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I am eager to step away from this college, so I can resume my studies elsewhere. Finally, Ursuline College is no better than the average college in the great Cleveland area.Bella Rose

Beautifully landscaped in suburban Cleveland, this Catholic college offers degrees with a distinguished reputation. Recommend the dorms be renovated; however, all other buildings on the college campus are utilized efficiently or re-purposed. The Ursuline Sisters of Cleveland reside on the grounds in their Mother House. A tour is a must to really appreciate this collegiate gem in the realm of women's higher education.Krista Thomas

I think financial aid is run by Dr.Seuss. It’s a literal circus. They barely answer the phone and Stacy is brutal. I think she wrestled in the WWE. I simply and politely asked about my financial aid app and she punch me in throat so hard I started singing Ave Maria. I didn’t even know I knew the song. This is a great university with students from all around the world, very beautiful buildings, gardens and sport facilities. It was a fantastic experience to study there for an year and enjoy such a nice atmosphere. Just be aware that you need a car to travel in weekends, for Riverside itself does not have many attractions, though it's a cozy city.Michael Rachid

Beautiful campus. So green. I love the Eucalyptus trees. It’s quiet in certain areas and social in others when students are around. A little something for everyone. Nice pathways for both walking and cycling. There are benches all around the campus to provide ample sitting areas to either just rest or to study with solar powered charging stations.Sajleen

Writing a review for UNMC is an emotional task for me because they have been there for my mom and family through life, sickness, recovery, health, and even death. In all they've been there for they did right, without judgement or bias, and with care, hope, and support. I live in Kansas, but I know this hospital and all the towers better than some streets near my home. I've interacted with many specialty doctors, nurses, techs, housekeeping staff, ER, security team members, and so many others. We've experienced teams in Kidney Transplant, Wound Care, Cardiovascular, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Derm, Cancer Center, and the Comfort Care Team. I can tell you that these teams are here because they love what they do. If you're considering UNMC as a new place to care for your needs I would do so without hesitation. When my mom moved they were so helpful in her transition to Kansas. Without them we'd be lost. We will miss each of her teams, their knowledge, and their care. It was so hard to leave.Tam E

Very disappointed in care provided. Nursing seems sorely under staffed. Although they frequently have cell phone in hand. Communication between staff (doctors and nursing staff)is lacking. Communication of providers and patients is insufficient. Facility is dirty dusty and run down. And should we talk about HIPPA….nothing to talk about….it doesn't exist there. Hep locks do not get flushed even after several days….negligent much? Showers/bed baths not offered to patient even after 3 days in-house. Are they trying for some nosocomial infections?S B

Today I went to Nebraska medical center and the eye clinic. The people that are very friendly and nice it's clean has three levels. The doctor I seen seem very knowledgeable and was very concerned with my eye condition it was funny when we first pulled up and parked in the first row there was a broom next to the handicap sign made me laugh remind me of handicap which parking. Someone probably had clean snow off their car with the broom and left it there.Karen Beautiful

I had to drop out due to some personal issues. These people treated me like an untouchable due to my mental illness and because I came from an impoverished family..I wasn't aware I still owed a little over 500 dollars to them. They waited 7 years to hire a debt collector. Now they say I owe 12,000 dollars… because of interest on the $500. Your prejudice is probably why you only have a 43% graduation rate…and a "Christian" school? Charging interest like that is so far from moral. They made me room alone because I have a mental illness. The dorm mom always accused me of sneaking in boys and smoking in my room because she figured I was a bad apple since I was there on scholarship and came from poverty. Shame on you all. Take me to court. I'll counter sue for discrimination. A 500 dollar debt I could have paid. You purposefully waited to I for me of the debt until the interest got unmanageable. CMU is quite the environment. From a student perspective, it allows you to do whatever you want academicly and in terms of extracurriculars. From a black perspective, you certainly won't forget you're in "the middle of nowhere". They put on wonderful performances despite being such a small and remote school; the fine arts program is certainly a major highlight of this institution. If you're a perspective student I recommend you come and check out the school in person. I think the reason people come to this school is the personal connection you'll get with your professors and the other students, so you should definitely come and see if this is the environment you want to be in for (potentially) the next 4 years.P. Baylor is an amazing school. For a few reviews before me we are not all "rich kids wanting to blow daddy's money" or "rude". I personally have a bad background that would not match the first statement. I am not rich. I am blessed to be in this university thanks to scholarships and my hard working mother. Baylor itself is a blessing. Its a rigorous school BUT very well worth it. I love being part of the Baylor community. Its a beautiful campus filled with loving people. Its not "perfect" because nothing is. There will be a few issues like yes there are some kids who don't care and my be rude or blow things off but really if you are a part of it you will see the majority of the campus and the people here are more than amazing and loving. This is a fantastic university for the liberal arts. I have talked to people from other universities and to those that have come to visit me at college, and all of them see a difference in the student body. There is just a different atmosphere. All the people are kind and welcoming and always willing to help in times of need. The professors are nationally ranked and are not only outstanding in their fields of study, but wonderful people as well. Even if you're not looking to go to college, its a beautiful campus to just walk around in. It's almost like a park in some ways. Just give it a visit and I promise you'll be hooked! I loved my time as I attended Baylor for undergrad, and grad school (2008-2015). The campus has changed so much since i first step foot in 2008 (all for the better). Baylor (and Waco) is in a resurgence/growth period. Its an awesome time for Baylor and Waco. I loved my time there even though I'm not religious (agnostic/theist). Great people (students and especially faculty), and community. There was a reason why I came back to get my masters at Baylor. They helped me get through some rough times, and i am better for it now. This is not an honest university. They lie to students just to get their money and do not help students in any way. They even try shady tactics to steal your money like not allowing you to drop all your course within the drop/add period which is odd because that time frame should give you the authority to do so. They try to keep courses on your schedule so they can charge you for it. The financial aid department is rude and can never keep their information straight. You will always get a different answer with them. They are only nice to the students who get duped into giving them money, but if you ask them about your financial aid they get upset as if you are only supposed to be seen not heard. The staff are very unresponsive they do not pick up the phone, return phone calls and do not answer emails efficiently. An example if you ask them how much will it be for four courses and will it be costly. they will answer an answer like how many course do you plan to take. A lot of their answers either don't answer the question, don't make sense or are answering a question with a question. Plus, the cost per credit is very high for the type of school it is. Better schools have a lower cost per credit like schools on the east coast, south and west coast. The President ignores students and doesn't respond to them. Plus, a lot of the staff is lazy. A task that only takes a day or two to complete with take them three weeks. Upon admission they omit a lot of important information to lure you into their program. DO NOT ATTEND THIS UNIVERSITY! THERE ARE BETTER SCHOOLS OUT THERE FOR LESS. CONCORDIA- UNRESPONSIVE. UNREAL.IRRELEVANT.Amy W

This is by far the worst run school I have ever seen. First, the front offices can’t tell if you’re coming or going. They tell you everything is in order but then come back to you after classes are starting and tell you they forgot to submit your paperwork. They also like to have you sign up for programs they have zero possibility of even having get off the ground. So once your registered they pull a bait and switch on you and drop you into a program until your desired program eventually starts. Hint: the program never starts so you owe them a lot of money and never even get the degree you originally desired. This place definitely treats you more as a dollar sign than a student and couldn’t care less about your goals or future. Only that you pay them on time. There is some serious shady business that takes place in this school. Especially in the business programs. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to find out that they will be under investigation for secretly operating as a “For profit institution”. Hint: they will be soon because they have been reported. Also, don’t expect them to offer you any form of apologies, even when they know they mess up. When three students in a program confront the administrators and program chairs about their desire to learn, and the lack of cooperation from instructors, the entire management team runs and buries their heads in the sand. Honestly, my best advice is to cross this school off your list if you value your future, or have any interest in a real education. I'm sure this would be a good school if I was able to actually login and do my work without a problem on a daily basis. But since I have to call the Help Desk everyday to get my password reset so I can get online and do my work, I can't tell. I have no problems logging into any other websites or accounts, and I have dozens of them. But try as I might to do something simple like put in a username and password and be able to get into the site and do my work seems to be a monumental challenge to this school. I've had two classes so far and my experience doing work here is traumatic. I absolutely dread coming to the computer to login because I know it's going to be an hour on the phone with the help desk and they're going to assume the problem is with my computer, like they always do. Someone needs to fix the schools' computer problem and stop blaming students for having login problems.Dino De Rosa

I work here as staff and find the working environment pretty good. My bosses have been good, my coworkers are dependable, and the students seem well behaved and conscientious (most of the time). The new buildings are nice, and the harbor walk is kind of amazing, and the beach is very chill. Good luck finding a place as tranquil anywhere else near the city. There is however one small con and one big con.. the small con is that there aren't that many places to eat and Sodexo runs all the food on campus, and their attempts at ethnic foods are sad. And the aforementioned big con is that there is no less than 3 buildings being built on this tight peninsula right now, and one huge building that was taken down over the year I've been here.. the construction is a mess. Though the new, finished buildings, like the science complex, are great. But if you can take the T somehow, as I do, this place is fantastic.Mikhail M. Nitko

UMASS Boston has a Beautiful campus on the waterfront! It is building two Brand new buildings as student housing with a dinning hall on the first floor, overlooking the Boston harbor with a million dollar view. UMASS Boston has a collaborative research program with Dana Farber Cancer Institute that students can be a part of. I love the new Integrated science center, incubating many New exciting NIH sponsored science research studies. It is an exciting time for UMASS Boston which has a new chancellor with generous scholarship. Chancellor merit scholarship will allow students to get world class education for free.Khuong Nguyen

I am a student here at UMB, the professors are great. The administration is bureaucratic and inefficient and lacks transparency on any basic level. Parking here is dependent upon arrival time. If you get here at 10:20 good luck finding a space in bayside, probably will have to park at the globe. Clinical placement sites for Nursing are good, labs are good, the school is constantly under construction and areas are always being blocked off. I would not recommend this school, I am truly and whole heartedly regretful of choosing this school over all of the other options I had. Something about this school stood out to me, and the counselors here try really hard to get you in. I do not identify with Christian faith and I am not religious at all so I initially felt weird about going to this school, but they mention multiple times that they accept all faiths and backgrounds so I felt better. However, upon talking their forced “Christian Worldview” class, the teacher grades with an iron fist for a 101 class and is just awful. My GPA for sure was going to plummet due to this stupid 101 class that they force on you. Honestly it was so ridiculous that I felt the need to reach out to my advisor. I was trying to come up with a solution because I felt some type of way about this. I suggested them placing me with a different teacher, since this teacher has AWFUL reviews going back years yet they do nothing about it. However they pretty much told me I still had to take the class, I could not switch to another teacher (you cannot pick your own teachers by the way which is huge for me now). Their only solution was that “another teacher would review my work.” This turned me off so bad from the entire school that I ended up withdrawing due to principal which messed up my financial aid. They honestly did not care one bit and obviously know there is a problem but do nothing to address it. I was so turned off that I chose to mess up my financial aid and just pick another school, there was no way that I was finishing out my degree here after this. Go elsewhere !!Taylor

I am an Atheist. I chose this college because it had the focus I was looking for, the delivery method was fully online so I could continue to work, and the price was the best around. I did not feel like being of the Christian faith was a prerequisite. My instructors and professors were not pushy with religion, and for a master's program, I felt like I was able to learn what was necessary for the field I was in. I have a Master's degree and 2 focuses now from GCU and I couldn't be happier with my education and experience. The guidance counselors were great, the financial aid process was easy, and I'm grateful for GCU and all they have done for me.April Wittmeyer

Parking in Garage building#7 on 33rdAvewas the best for going into the areana. We had to checkin at theguard station, drive around it then enter the parking garage. Parking was allowed on the 2ndfloor and above. It was the AFHE homeschool senior graduation. The campuswas very green. The areana was building #38 there is a museum to JERRY COLANGELO here and a beautiful tripple cross monument. The restrooms are spacious and everything but the soap dispensers are automated. The seats of the arena were a tight squeeze to sit down on if you are 1x or biggerEileen L. Smith

If you are a parent thinking of sending your kid here, or a student thinking about attending….DON’T!! Unless you are a parent that likes getting calls once a week that they just heard gunshots or someone they knew was robbed or had their car broken into. Or if you’re a student that doesn’t want to leave campus without wearing a bulletproof vest. They might as well pick this place up and drop it in the middle of Baghdad. Your kid would probably safer. Oh and good luck hoping the KCPD would ever patrol the area around this place and risk their lives. Lol! They even know to stay away.Dominic Foley

Many of my professors didn’t take me seriously because I didn’t follow their beliefs. In one of their classes I failed because, “since you didn’t grow up in a catholic family you’ll never get it.” I was trying as hard as I could, SI’s, tutors, everything, but as soon as the professor knew I was atheist I felt extremely ostracized, not only from the student body but from the staff as well. Rockhurst has a beautiful campus in Kansas City. It is a smaller college campus and it is located close to the Plaza. Although I haven't personally taken classes, I have been told it is a good experience. They are partnering with St Luke's for the nursing program. The security officers that I've encountered have been super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend checking out this college.Kimber Mata

I considered D'Youville College for my Post 9/11 GI Bill graduate program. I ultimately picked another school which offered the degree I was interested in. By happenstance I spent my last semester of my studies at D'Youville. Wow, what a difference. While other schools pay lip service to Veterans, D'Youville is putting their money where their mouth is. At other schools, despite what they say, Vets are simply another number, a commodity they are anxious to attract for the easy money, but once enrolled, these Vets are quickly forgotten. A single staff member will be assigned Vets as a collateral duty, one of many hats they wear. D'Youville on the other hand has a staff of dedicated personnel whose sole job is to take care of Vets. Instead of being referred elsewhere, D'Youville gets resolution to any and all issues that their Vets encounter. They know how to successfully navigate the Veteran's Administration, as well as New York State benefits (e.g. Veterans Tuition Awards). Not only do they educate **ALLL** Vets (not simply limited the Gold Ribbon qualified Vets), but they also offer generous incentives for Vets' spouses and dependents. D'Youville offers more and more new degrees and programs every year. If you are not seriously looking at D'Youville for you education, you are wrong.Jerry Tidd

I been working in a community health program with the School of Nursing and Pharmarcy. My interaction wtih both students and professors has been excellent, and have surpass my expectations in wiliness to serve the community. About the D'Youville social life, this is a small college and their social life is during lunch time in Spot Coffee, which is located in the basement. In short, the DYC is good for those who want to focus in their studies and have theirs social life somewhere else because you will not find crazy frat parties in here.alice campbell

College offers a great PA program, but beware that contacting the admission office and tracking different components of your application is painstakingly uncoordinated. Personally had to remind and contact multiple admission counselors about my application and still had a hard time getting them to contact me back regarding genuine questions with ambiguity of the application.Sougandhika Bharadwaj

This University is not a safe place to send your child if you care about them and their safety. I spent two semesters living on campus, my freshman year and they were the worst months of my life; communal bathrooms are not clean, things are broken often and do not get fixed, and security cameras are few and far between. The campus itself is not in a good neighborhood, which is a common fear of most people. Administration has done nothing to make the campus safer, there are not any cameras in parking lots, the cameras in the municipal parking garage do not work, and people are able to walk on to campus even if they do not attend the school. Young children steal student's bikes in broad daylight and grown adults walk onto the campus as well. The cafeteria food is not good and the staff is 99.9% of the time very rude, and you may get a plate of food thrown at you even if you are polite. I have witnessed people be served raw chicken, romaine lettuce when there was an E. coli outbreak, and also contract E. coli. The Bursar's office constantly removed and added money to my account saying one day I owed X amount of dollars and then one day I owed Y amount of dollars, and whenever I asked why my balance fluctuated during the semester, they had no answer. Financial aid is not easy to deal with especially if your family makes a mid-range income. If you household income is low or very high, do not expect to pay a lot per year. The social environment is like high school: judgmental and everyone stays in their own "clique" The only reason I will give this "university" a 2-star review is because the professor's do care about you and your success. They will work with you, and help you when need be. Every professor I had only wanted their students to succeed, and nothing else (with the exception of a woman who just had graduated from college and did not know the subject which she was teaching).Ashlynne Donovan

This school is one of the best veteran friendly schools in the U.S. currently we are in the top 100, we even have our own USO sponsored lounge called the defenders den where we can be around fellow veterans. The classes here are incredible and the professors genuinely care and thrive off interaction. You will not become another gear in the chain at this university, also the campus even though small is absolutely gorgeous. I’ve been to other schools and I am sincerely proud to finish my degree at an institution that values their Veteran population.Kostantinos Efstathiou

The worst school ever! I did a year at JU and lived on campus! there is nothing to do! You will be bored out of your mind if you are from the north. The staff was unhelpful, and forget about getting any extra financial help. I come from a one parent house hold and my mom lost her job I went into the aid office to see if they can help me with any extra aid and all they could offer was goods from the food pantry. My wife and i have helped a young lady for years who was the daughter of a single mom that recently passed away. This girl was alone in the world and Eastern Illinois University and their staff have adopted her as their own. The V.P. of Student services Dr J Sipes personally walked her around campus making sure that every need was met and question answered. Hours were spent by so many i could not name them all and so many with tears in their eyes and a drive to help. if you are thinking of sending your child to a university i recommend strongly that you consider the unknown future and trust them to a school that will take care of them as if they are their own, you never know what the future brings. Eastern Illinois University is a great school but more important it is a loving family.Steven Wrenn

First time visiting this school to see my little brother and I can't believe how rude the security guards. My little brother wanted to see a concert, and the security guards treat everyone like a common criminal shoving you about to do a pat down. I have never felt so violated. I honestly can't believe how much that security guard has embarrassed me. He should be arrested his for his behavior. I really do the feel comfortable that my little brother is attending this school or the fact that my parents money is contributing to an establishment that would condone such behavior.Ed Krause

Eastern Illinois University truly is my home away from home. The faculty truly care about the students. You are not just an ID number. The faculty know your name, and they teach in small class sizes across the board. Plus campus is safe and very vibrant! Overall, it is a great university with a strong emphasis on small class sizes and close interactions with faculty members beginning your freshman year.
