A wonderful place to go to school and a great place to visit. The students here are almost all very kind, sweet, accepting, supportive, and open-minded people. They are slightly diverse in terms of demographics, and quite diverse in terms of personality. The college offers a diverse range of majors and excellent classes. It has particularly great music, performing arts, nursing, and physical therapy programs. Class sizes are not very big, with very few lecture hall-style class settings. The teachers are mostly very kind and care greatly about what they do. Tuition is very high, but depending on your program, it can be worth it. The campus is beautiful! It is full of nature and a mix of collegiate gothic and more modern buildings. It is small and dense, but not crowded. It is also very safe. Risk of theft or damage to property is very rare, but the latter is more common among lowerclassmen. There is so much history to uncover. It is located close to good places to shop, eat, and visit in Pittsford. The academic buildings are clean, well-lit, and mostly fitted with modern amenities. Bathrooms in some buildings are very clean, some are quite unclean. The lowerclassmen residence halls can be somewhat loud, are typically slightly unclean, but have many events to attend run by the RAs. There are dorm or suite-style living choices. Upperclassmen residence halls are mostly clean, almost always very quiet, and have dorm, suite, apartment-style living choices. Living arrangements are for full-time students only. The food in the Dining Commons is pretty good. It has a pretty diverse menu with some options tasting decent, some great. Other food locations around campus have a somewhat limited menu range and the food is mediocre. Some alternative dietary accommodations are met, and more will be made if requested. Facilities staff are mostly not friendly, but not unkind. The staff in the Dining Commons are mostly pretty friendly and very kind.Graeme Lechner

I received counseling services from John Aceto at Nazareth College. This man is sexually inappropriate! I met him to work on my shyness, and for the entire session he tried diagnosing me other issues. He told me I drink coffee everyday because I have "Caffeine-use disorder." That rediculous disorder is not even in the DSM! Then he diagnosed my father with Bipolar disorder, based on my childhood memories. He never even met my father in person. After the session, he began rubbing his hand on my back, telling me that he wanted to "help me out." I felt violated. BEWARE of this man! He will rope you in for other issues and try to take advantage of you. I expressed my concerns to the director, Megan Clifford Papponetti, and she black mailed me. She threatened to have me suspended, and that is exactly what she attempted. She shared my confidential assessments and sessions with my Ex and even to my professors. My professors were concerned about me, saying that they received a strange call from Megan "bragging about the information she found out about me." That was PERSONAL information that I trusted with the Nazareth College Counseling Center, and I was humiliated. Nazareth College, you should be ashamed of yourself! A good school where you get out what you put in. Many trains stop within walking distance and buses as well. Just like any college, depending on your major, you will find good and bad professors. So always make use of the rate my professor website. I had a very pleasant experience. The administration was more competent than other schools I went to and my issues were always solved within a reasonable amount of time. The facilities I had to use for my major were in even better condition compared to some four year schools. The wifi coverage was good. Plenty of cafeterias with the best one being in the E building. Plenty of food trucks with different types of foods. Lots of seating areas with electrical ports. The class scheduling was workable with enough sections to fit almost everyone. Can't speak for any other major but it felt like that overall. They are always hiring new adjuncts so it's not the same professor teaching that one section you need all the time that everyone says is horrible. Always stay on top of your things if you want to have them resolved quickly. That's the part you play in your college years. The hand holding stops after High School. All I can say is, relax a little and have some fun. At the end of the day grades won't show the strength of your character after all is said and done.Mounia B

It seems like professors like the one I got Professor Arnold who acts likes she is going through the motions and don't there . i felt I waste my time and money which I paid out of pocket in her class and is thinking about leaving the college. She is one of the worst teachers/professors i ever had . I think cause it a community college a lot of them are mad cause they can't teach in a four year college through out of the community colleges in NY LaGuardia is the best . That being said she is the third professors that I had that sleeps walks through their class and I had another one that did something that weren't cool and I didn't show up for her class and never got an apology from her. Im currently in my last year at LaGuardia (majoring in business) and i have to say the Business department is full of AMAZING professors. Classes are really easy (most of them except accounting unless you're good at it) and the students are cool. I, personally, never talked to anyone or made any friends because I'm not an outgoing person. The school is constantly going under renovations and they just finished the new library and it looks AMAZING, as if it was a library from an ivy league. Food isn't that great but what do you expect, its school food [not free of course]. For people who are curious about the diversity of this school, these are my personal percentages of what i see; 20% – Asian 20% – African American 30% – Hispanic 30% – White/European Overall, its a good school to just do your 2 years in and get out.Paul The Pigeon

My grandson attended 1 semester in 2017. The staff appeared to be helpful during the enrollment process. They had him in classes that he shouldn't have had to begin with…. he didnt have a choice to get generals out of the way. They wanted you to take classes that you would have to continue with there so you could never transfer anywhere else. When you set up an account online, if there was a problem getting access, they never assisted you. We ended up with a big bill because staff were never available or returned calls. When my grandson called to speak to them, their lines wouldnt even ring! I personally was present when this happened! He tried to call to tell them he wasn't returning for 2nd semester. Then he received a $980. Bill in July because he never notified them. When I called in May to verify all Bill's were totaled, they assured me it was correct. Then we got that letter in July! So by the time they turned the bill over to Mn Dept of Revenue for collections, they added another $2500. To collect. So the total was over $12,200. For 1 semester! Like I said, the staff appears to be helpful, but when theres a problem, they just arent available to help. Seemed a bit of a scam to me. I personally would steer clear from this institution. It's in a small rural community with very limited employment opportunities for a student to have a part time job. I graduated from 2009, and went to a junior college for my first two years. Following that I transfered to SMSU. Once I got to Marshall it was easy to see that I had downgraded. The Campus of SMSU is old and out dated, with poor parking set up. Parking it self is always a risk because of the random parking tickets that get issued. It seems like once a week a person could get a new parking ticket. Class sizes are fair to OK they are not as small as they boast about on the radio, and you are a number at SMSU they are business first organization. If there is a way that they can make an extra dollar or two off of their students they find a way how. Whether its changer around classes for majors so seniors are forced to take extras before they graduate or simply charging extra for classes. SMSU is not the campus the lead people to believe it is. I am from the area born and raised, and had alot of respect for the campus before I went there.. After spending 3 years at SMSU I am disappointed to say i would not recommend this school for everyone… Its a small campus with large campus mind set "SMSU where you are a number"Tim Johnson

I went here a year ago. It was definitely a high school feeling. It had the regular high school clicks. The gym wasn't even that great and was always being used by student athelte. Food was undercooked and it wasn't open the whole day. Housing was awful. The CA never in forced the quiet hours. The dorms and whole school needed updating. Academics was not that great. Professors kept leaving and class got canceled a lot. Class size was average. Financial aid was a pain. It took two to three months just to get a loan thrpugh. I wouldn't recommend to anybody until they do some updating.Zach D

I attended IUS while it was still located in Jeffersonville then received my ADN at the New Albany campus in 1976. I have now completed the requirements needed for a BS but not in nursing as this would require me to either test out of the classes I am already proficient in and pay for the credit hours once again or retake the classes. Other than this one problem I have never found anything else to be critical of on campus. I have never had a professor who was not qualified to teach and learned much more here than I did the year I attended Ball State University in Muncie, IN. IUS is no longer a commuter only campus as there is on campus housing along with several new small apartment complexes near campus which appear to be meant for students since they have several flights of stairs and no elevators. IUS does have a higher number of older students but that is part of the beauty of this campus. The older students are part of the population at the other campuses also but just not as visible as classes aren't offered at times convenient to the adult student working full time at the larger universities. I found it very informative to sit next to students 30 years my senior and 30 years younger on the other side. I was exposed to a wide range of viewpoints to learn from and to share without having any arguments. The environment is very conducive to learning, learning how to live in a grown up world for those first experiencing this side of life and/or learning just because I want to learn more and know more about the world around me. The non-credit courses I have taken have really been enjoyable. I took two semester of mountain dulcimer lessons and continue to play for my enjoyment today. There are numerous opportunities outside of for credit courses for a campus this size. I was never aware of any of these type of activities at Ball State. I had to park my car miles away from the dormitory and walk to it when it was needed. There was no security like the security on the IUS campus when you have a late at night class or need to go to the parking lot miles away in the dark. Those who have been critical of the campus don't realize what a gem we have right out or door steps or were looking for the big campus life and disappointed that it wasn't found at IUS.Nancy Garvey

I was attending this school for a music composition degree, and it served as nothing but a road block for myself and my education. I was corralled into lines, like a greenhorn of any industry, but those lines stayed straight – never allowing a spark of creativity to kick start the pistons of my mind. I made the mistake of going here without really considering what I actually wanted to do- just as long as it meant getting a degree in SOMETHING. Now I'm stuck here and I really hate it. A lot of the classes are pretty easy for me but the major I'm in was never my first choice and its hard to relate to a lot of people as they're either just going to school and going home and don't have time for friends (that or they're like 40 year old single moms). I considered D'Youville College for my Post 9/11 GI Bill graduate program. I ultimately picked another school which offered the degree I was interested in. By happenstance I spent my last semester of my studies at D'Youville. Wow, what a difference. While other schools pay lip service to Veterans, D'Youville is putting their money where their mouth is. At other schools, despite what they say, Vets are simply another number, a commodity they are anxious to attract for the easy money, but once enrolled, these Vets are quickly forgotten. A single staff member will be assigned Vets as a collateral duty, one of many hats they wear. D'Youville on the other hand has a staff of dedicated personnel whose sole job is to take care of Vets. Instead of being referred elsewhere, D'Youville gets resolution to any and all issues that their Vets encounter. They know how to successfully navigate the Veteran's Administration, as well as New York State benefits (e.g. Veterans Tuition Awards). Not only do they educate **ALLL** Vets (not simply limited the Gold Ribbon qualified Vets), but they also offer generous incentives for Vets' spouses and dependents. D'Youville offers more and more new degrees and programs every year. If you are not seriously looking at D'Youville for you education, you are wrong.Jerry Tidd

I been working in a community health program with the School of Nursing and Pharmarcy. My interaction wtih both students and professors has been excellent, and have surpass my expectations in wiliness to serve the community. About the D'Youville social life, this is a small college and their social life is during lunch time in Spot Coffee, which is located in the basement. In short, the DYC is good for those who want to focus in their studies and have theirs social life somewhere else because you will not find crazy frat parties in here.alice campbell

This is not a good college at all. It's a decent sized school but I found many of the students here to be very cold and unfriendly. It's a very political school everyone is either very liberal or very conservative which made me uncomfortable since i'm not a political person. There is a lot of drug activity at this school. How does a college have a faculty that can't answer any questions pertaining to activities that go on campus. there are 4 kids to a room and marijuana smoke fills the air. You complain to faculty that you were not around anytime that this is found by staff with proof of your where abouts each and everytime. I don't smoke at all. I have a scholarship to go to this school and they kicked me out due to no one coming clean about the marijuana. I don't think I was treated fairly. This college misguides students frequently. Be careful what your advisor tells you and they tend to swap your own major without your permission. Union's vision is clearly Christ-centered and its education is focused on making the world a better place to dwell in. I absolutely loved SUNY Morrisville, I graduated from here years ago with my associate degree in Hospitality; and I could tell you we all were like a big family including the teachers specially Dr Joan Johnson. We all cared for each other, helped each other, worked with each other not only as a team, or friends but more like family. I wouldn't change this experience for nothing, all my professors were caring and really had an interest in every one learning and play such a big and positive impact in our lives. The memories I have in Morrisville are really worth remembering, sharing and talking about. The staff in general were all very nice to us all. this school could be be great if the teachers didn’t play favorites. i had one bad semester and was dismissed from the college but someone who has had bad grades since they got there 3 years ago got to stay with no problems it makes no sense. on top of it if you don’t live on campus alot of people there won’t talk to you. and the best part is if you ask the teachers for help and your not there favorite they will not help you whatsoever. if you were thinking about going here do your research because there really not as great as they seem i made the mistake of not doing research and just going there biggest mistake ever.ashley colvin

Transferred after my first semester because I couldn't stand the place. Administration can't get things done, is unhelpful, and just horrible. It takes them forever to do anything, and when you try to get things moving they get mad. I had issues with a roommate and Resident Life was very rude to me and had no intentions of helping me. Graduated here. This school is more akin to an extension of highschool, and not a professional learning environment. Professors here are hit or miss. I had a couple great professors, I had a lot of VERY bad professors. The English department is the exception, with the majority of the professors there being very professional and knowledgeable of their field. In more than one class, I had EXTREMELY immature "fresh-out-of-highschool" peers. I'm talking about the baggy pants, crappy music on cell phone max volume, and high attitude people in the middle of class. Felt like an inner-city summer school at times. Professors didn't, or couldn't, do anything about it. Administration is bad. Very bad. Lots of getting the run-around, lots of mis-information. Technology wise, not good. Their website actively suppresses google chrome and forces internet explorer, which as any tech savvy person would know is an insecure and clunky browser. The website bounces between basic HTML and confusing/frustrating UI. The campus itself is very well taken care of and looks very nice. This school is an unprofessional joke! I messed up coming here for my Last year. The staff is ghetto and money hungry especially registration and financial aid! I should have stayed at Savannah State they are lazy as heck, ghetto and care nothing about students. They messed up my courses, dropped me out of the wrong class and didn’t even place me back in until the LAST week of school but I’m taking the fall for it, wgeb it is THEIR FAULT! So forever grateful I was able to spend 4 amazing years at this school. I am not sure what the other people reviewing recently are talking about, as I felt the community at this campus is very welcoming and friendly. It is a catholic school so they do teach and emphasize catholic studies, however there are many classes that center around other beliefs. I never felt like my beliefs were being stomped on, and I am not catholic. Also, if you are worried about your social life and getting the college experience, don't be! You can definitely still have the college experience and attend St. Kate's. The campus always has activities going on, and there are many schools in the area. First I want to say my advisor was amazing she was super helpful through all this mess. I was supposed to start this month but they said they were missing things so I couldn’t get in until the next semester when they had everything. but we had already sent them everything we had sent to every other college we applied to. They were the only ones we had this problem with. They then today told me that we weren’t gonna be accepted due to the fact that they don’t accept the accredited bodies that my school was accredited by due to varying standards idk what that means. This school is way too expensive for an OTA degree. You can also get the same online degree at less expensive colleges. I do not recommend St. Kate’s to anyone. Simply put, the 4 years I spent at The College of Saint Rose were the best 4 years of my life. I attended the Accepted Students Day the Spring before I matriculated and fell in love. The campus was beautiful, everyone was friendly and helpful. I left with every question answered and very at ease about where I would be spending the next 4 years. Saint Rose provided me with an opportunity to come out of my shell. I was the typical shy student. I had my group of friends and I stuck to them. I didn't participate in any campus activities, my days consisted of going to class and back to my room. At the beginning of my second year, I knew I wanted to make a change, I wanted to experience all Saint Rose had to offer. I became a mentor, and then a resistant assistant, joined clubs, and volunteered. I did it all. I became a leader on campus all while balancing my school work and employment. The resources are unlimited at Saint Rose, you just have to reach out. Class sizes are small which is perfect for those of us who like to get to know our professors. As a biology major, I found my classes to be challenging but not impossible and learning was fun. When you have professors who are passionate about their field it makes you passionate to learn and that is what you will find when you come to Saint Rose. With the help of one of my professors, I was able to secure a summer research internship at Albany Medical College. My time spent here was very productive. I was able to do things I never envisioned myself doing and really break out of my comfort zone. The College of Saint Rose helped me develop friendships and skills of a lifetime.Kajanna McKenzie

When I transferred to Saint Rose, I knew that this place would become my second home. I can't stress enough how transfer friendly the college is. I had such wonderful help from Transfer Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar and the Communications department throughout the transfer process. They included my mom as well and answered any questions she had. While attending Saint Rose, I had some incredible opportunities that you can only get from Saint Rose. I was elected President for Tau Sigma National Honor Society which allowed me to go to Chicago and San Antonio for their leadership conference. I got to go on several trips including the Hearst Tower in NYC, Yankee Stadium, Bronx Zoo and to local media outlets such as Time Warner Cable News. I also was a staff writer/news editor for The Chronicle, the weekly student newspaper. But most importantly, Saint Rose prepared me for my two internships/part time job during my senior year and current full time job in the news industry. The professors in the Communications department helped me grow not only as a journalist but as a person. They pushed me to think outside the box and ask the tough questions. Without such a wonderful and supportive COMmunity, I wouldn't be where I am today. I feel like one star would be harsh, but three stars would be too nice. My experience with Saint Rose is that it is, like many colleges in this country: overpriced. That is a common complaint with all colleges, but it's more than that. I think the value of the education you get there doesn't really match what you are/will be (if you are taking loans) paying for. I feel the education at Saint Rose is not preparing the younger generation to enter the workforce or the real world. The school boasts great academics and don't get me wrong, some classes have been very objective based and informative. However, some classes made me feel like I was still in high school/the public education system. As in, 1) They aren't that challenging, 2) They don't teach me skills and knowledge that I'll need in the future and 3) It feels like some of the classes had a larger agenda to them (trying to convince students rather than teach). Besides the academics, the campus is nice. Personally, Albany, NY is not my cup of tea but for someone coming from the NYC area (which there's a lot at SR), it might be nicer to be in a much smaller city. Besides that, I think most adults see college campuses kind of deteriorating in terms of the academics and culture. I don't need to go into details about that. As an RCC graduate of 2015 I can say this was a second home for me. I had the best professors, a very kind advisor who helped me so much through it all. I had an amazing job on campus I absolutely loved, it helped me get involved more with school events and get out of my shy shell ☺️. All this was possible because if something I didn’t like or didn’t feel right with my class or I felt something was difficult, you have to make the choices on your own to make your college experience an amazing one. I am absolutely disgusted by the video trending on TikTok over Dr Traci Alexander/Ellen for penalizing a student who asked for an extension on a project even though her work was all complete. This student and her entire family caught COVID and this pathetic excuse of a doctor/professor compared her sickness to her grandfathers surgery. It should also be noted that this student reached out to this professor numerous times but never received a response. This professor should be fired from this institution.Nes Gar

I wish I could give this school ZERO stars. Some teachers press play on a recorded lecture during our "class," and thats how we learn. Other teachers read verbatim off of the slides. There is only one competent teacher – Mary Castang, but she only teaches the begining nursing classes. The teachers were very unprofessional and often didnt know answers to students questions. They are very power hungry, and will get in arguments with students who find mistakes or have questions about the material/books. The books are written by regis professors – an obvious conflict of interest and are required for the class. The clinical instructors are VERY untrustworthy, and will cover their back in an instant, and put the students at risk. Even though they are supposed to protect students, and teach them during clinical. The dean for the nursing school terrible, and should really be looked into. She claims to care about the students well being and wants them to suceed. Of course this all happens virtually or in a big lecture hall in front of all the students. When met with individually she acted as if she was listening and responded with a gereic response she probably tells all students/ has a list and chooses one that matches what the student says –> all she had to say was "I dont care," and literally reapeated that after I tried to explain. All very degrading and emotionally traumatizing when nurses in school are already loaded with busy work from class, and clinical work assigned by the clinical instructor and from the class teacher. Lisa Zenoni comes off as the sweetest lady during orientation, and seems super supportive of students succeeding. After school starts shes very passive aggressive, and gets very defensive when she is confronted about being wrong. All in all, if admitted to the nursing program, be aware of every rules in the student guide, and dont follow the directions of the clinical instuctors as those rules dont match the regis rules and those are grounds for dismissal. Understand the teachers and how they teach and be ready to teach yourself. As for the students, the younger students who went throught the regis college are very rude to the transfer students and try to get them in trouble due to the fact that theu are usually smarter, do really well in all the classes, and are very motivated. Be very careful where trust is,placed as it is easilt used to get students in trouble.maria trick

Disappointment at every turn. I'm a student at Regis, was using my GI Bill here. I've seen a lot of my classmates (BS Computer Science) not able to find the classes offered needed to graduate on schedule. The course offerings are pretty sporadic, graduating on time is unlikely. I was pursuing a certificate in Information Systems Security along with a BS in Computer Science, but the Advanced Unix course that was required for the certificate is offered once a year and often doesn't even run. Now the certificate has been withdrawn. The advisors are helpless. The closer you get to graduation, the harder it is to find the classes you need. I have been advising my veteran friends to attend other schools. The professors here are top notch. They are the only reason I can give Regis two starts instead of one.Zach Zachareas

If you don't already have a job in the computer programming world, do not bother going to Regis through their online computer science degree program. The program has many errors in both the content, the instructions, and even in the grading of assignments. The cost of their program is incredibly expensive, unacceptably so with the errors they have in their own coursework. You also spend all of your time reading and teaching yourself since there are little to no videos available. This is fine if you have experience in the field already or are fine with reading a textbook, but if you are looking for someone to actually teach you this is not the location you want to go. This school is terrible. I honestly am livid with the way the staff handles things. After a 2 year college some students want to further their education and continue in the sports they are in. I was told when my child got recruited, they would help get her to another College, they will be help with the highlights. I've called at least 15 times for help and they always say they get some one to help. Guess what my child had to figure it out and I sure hope the coach at the University she's looking at accepts it 😤😠 The coach apparently really does not care. And at first she was a good coach, now I hear from different players she's not helping get them to other schools. We won't go into the food, or the prices they add in without knowing about it! Prices go up every year that their answer for everything. Then picking classes as freshman they really don't tell you what you actually need until it's to late and they wait until last semester 😠😠. I truly thought this experience would have been a better one as a mother I'm voicing my concerns!!! This is my opinion! But the basketball coach, n soccer coach for boys is terrific they help their players n go above n beyond like a coach should. Shout out to those coaches! It's sad when you really depend on the help and think you'll get it after being told you would by administrators. I do not recommend this school what so ever! Poor communication skillsTrish Mann

I am an alumni from this school and my two years spent were memorable and enjoyable. I am originally from NYC so going upstate for school was a drastic change in environment and people. The staff are very friendly and helpful and made me feel comfortable in the change of environment. My advisor helped me choose my classes and helped me through personal and educational challenges I faced which helped me alot. The food does need some change but it was not the worst thing. I enjoyed dorm life at SUNY Delhi but recommend they install air conditioners as it tends to be warm in summer and spring time. I mostly enjoyed the classes, my professors were very knowledgable in their fields and were very helpful in making sure I understood every topic. The resources on campus are worth going to because they do help. I made many friends and connections through joining clubs and going to events. I was even President and co-founder of a two different clubs. Definitely recommend this school if you are looking to get a good education and experience dorm life away from the city. You won't regret it, I certainly didn't.Guenevere Chin

My daughter just finished her first semester. Overall, I would not recommend this school. While the campus is beautiful, the accommodations are extremely unsanitary. The drug culture is highly prevalent and it doesn't appear as if it's being monitored. The sororities still practice hazing for membership. After they use and abuse their pledges, they accept little to no new members. Unfortunately, my daughter had a professor who was clearly unapologetically rascist. I've never, in all my schooling, had a professor grade every paper with a personal insult attached. I highly regret enrolling my daughter in this school. From what I've witnessed, the majority of the academics (with exception of that professor) are decent. At best I would suggest if your not in the veterinary program or in the private pay dorm (Catskill) it's best to live off campus.joangelica 80

I went on a tour today for this school and from everything that I heard they have everything I needed in a school. They allow freshman’s to have cars on campus for a $168 fee (that covers the whole year). They allow you to stay on campus all four years of college and have specific dorms for upperclassman like juniors and seniors. The school and view is beautiful. The school it’s self seems to have a great support system. Everyone seemed friendly and welcoming. The food tasted good from my experience. I recommend this school for anyone in New York looking to go away from home but still be in their home state. I enjoyed my tour here and hope to enjoy my four years here.Bryanna Jordan

I obtained a computer degree in 2014 from Canton. This institution did not turn me into a Liberal zombie. That said, the number one thing you must keep in mind is cost, nearly all colleges in America have inflated costs, do you want to be thousands in debt with a bad job after? Consider vocational training & just working after high school. Choose wisely & do your research. Nearly everything I learned at Canton I fast track learned again in military tech school for a cyber job. I wasn't required to pay for it or take a mandatory ENG 101 course. Lastly, upstate NY is a boring, desolate, cold, Rust Belt like area for anyone considering studying there who is not from such a place. I do miss the friendships & had great experiences in Canton.̈

This school was nothing but a nightmare for me. The Financial aid office screwed me up. I did a whole semester, fine and great. Come second semester I’m in class for over a month and they pull me out in the hall to tell me something is wrong with everything and that I shouldn’t have been coming to class and everything I did for the month didn’t count. Took me years to pay back that loan for absolutely NOTHING. Every time I needed some help, they’d make me an appointment, and I’d trek through snow a mile away just for them to cancel on me. As an adult already working full-time SUNY Caton was one of the only universities which made obtaining a degree possible. They offer online degrees in bachelors, associates, and certificate degrees. There is vast yet concise range of academic majors which are applicable in the current job market. Considering the online program, the staff and instructors are helpful via email, phone and web-based. I highly recommend for adults seeking to further their education.Christine Marchetti

This is the 4th (yes 4th) university I have attended. the others were in Chicago, California, and N.J. I can honestly say the issues I have run into here are no worse or better than issues I've experienced at the other schools. I began ASU as a non-traditional student and was more mature, focused and committed this time around. yes I have experienced some disorganization, rude, unprofessional and lazy staff at times. I also spent a total of 4 1/2 years at this institution, and the number of negative encounters I've experienced were very minimal in comparison to my length of stay. Compared to my negative experiences, I can honestly say I've had hundreds of great, positive experiences from the helpful, caring staff and instructors. ASU helped me to discover my purpose in life, I am honored to be an ASU Alumni. And for those of you who have left or are leaving these awful comments…..How idiotic you will be to graduate from a university you yourselves have publicly disgraced. THIS SCHOOL DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THEIR STUDENTS!!! Compared to other colleges ASU is so UNORGANIZED. Work orders take months to get fixed. The food is Always horrible. Pizza Hut and Subway always run out of food. They never have anything and they are always so slow. it takes 30 mins to get a personal pan pizza. Housing is a mess; some students are homeless because its bed bugs in there room. South hall has mold in there building and only 3 out of 7 washers work. Its a hassle to wash with 200 people in one building and it just seems like nobody cares about us. Last semester it took 4 months to receive my student refund check while it took other colleges 1 month. They kicked students out of school the first month for having a balance on there account but it took them 4 months to pay students their money. (We even made it to the news for having slow financial aid. ) I wont be returning, this school is slow when it comes to fixing problems but when it comes to them getting paid they have no issues kicking students out.Moesha

The Albany State University website states that they are making our health and safety their number one priority— unfortunately, I have not seen any evidence that their statement is correct. I have noticed that hand sanitizer and masks are easily accessible around campus. However, there are some students and even professors who are not wearing their masks. While attending my class, I also noticed that we had no distance between us in a very small classroom. Under these circumstances, I do not feel safe attending my classes, and I am sure I’m not the only one who feels that way. In addition, It’s disappointing to me that covid-19 cases are rising and the majority of courses being offered are all in person. I get that people want to go back, but it would be nice to at least have the option to keep being remote since it’s working out better for a few of us.Val B

For 4 years Rutgers was our home, and the center of our family life. Our eldest children grew up here and the youngest was born. It was a wonderful life experience as a family, as people and students. Life at Johnson apartments was happy, with difficult moments of adaptation but definitely a great challenge. Being a family programmer on campus was an amazing experience where we enjoyed many moments with families from all over the world.Thanks Rutgers for those years!!Gloria Elena Restrepo Toro

Rutgers offers an excellent learning environment to its students. However, I found that the campus has some flaws. For instance, some parts of the campus are unkempt and could use some tidying up. Nonetheless, I am fond of the wide variety of areas open to both students and locals—nice chains, restaurants, and stores (among many more)! Overall, it is a great public university for students hailing from New Jersey.Lara C.

The best university in New Jersey and one the top public institutions in country. So big that there are 5 different campuses in the New Brunswick/Piscataway. A lot of great days on College Ave and Douglass and there is bus service to each part of campus which offers different things according to interests. Loved the football stadium as wellLuis Daniel
