Review Summary
Overall, an okay community college experience so far from 2019 to 2022 (I took some summers off). The registration process for me was a nightmare. OpenCC upon some of the other processes were buggy, nonfunctional, or unclear. Despite this, I have to give them slack as when I was applying they were revamping their websites significantly. There's a mixed bag of good and bad staff. Some professors will be insanely rude, not understanding, and sometimes not even lecture properly on the topic at hand. Other professors will be really kind, understanding, and actively willing to work with you. Always look up the professor on Rate My Professor!!! Eservices, Canvas, and Counseling are atrocious. Eservices has been buggy at times or down for multiple hours. Canvas is usually a decent online learning tool, but sometimes it can get buggy and is not always accessibility friendly (as seen by not having a dark mode for example). I recall a time when Canvas was down due to the host servers, which are owned by Amazon, were completely offline. Counseling is not always helpful in guiding you to where to go next, will sometimes not even answer calls nor emails, and can get really busy (even with the switch from the old building to the Welcome and Support Center). I suggest looking up some information yourself on ARCs website first before talking to counselors, such as course catalogs or what classes you might take for a specific associates degree. I wish that counseling would still give out PHYSICAL course catalogs, but it is what it is. Finance is usually okay for parking passes, but other services is like pulling teeth. Communication on what is going on campus varies from good to poor. An example of this is when the pandemic began around midterms and there was the report of two people being exposed to Covid on campus, which caused mass panic and multiple people just walking out of class. Parking can sometimes be an issue, so be prepared to walk a little bit. Also, you will need a parking pass from a kiosk or buy a parking pass permit for the semester. Bathrooms could use some work. I recall a time where after flushing the bathroom started to flood. Food choices were fairly solid. If you were going to Starbucks or Subway during lunch, lines would get long. Only food offered on campus now is either from the student store, the cafeteria, the Oak Cafe, or the few vending machines on campus. Off campus, there's quite a few food places around, such as Lis Mongolian BBQ, Chik Fil A, and In-N-Out. The bookstore has been unorganized in the past, but is relatively chilled back and clean nowadays. Be warned that some things will be overpriced, but that's normal for college. Also, don't be shocked if there's a hassle with ordered books or book returns for refunds.Emily “Emma Anne” Branecki
It's almost like 90% of the people who work here will be rude over the phone and tell you to do everything online. They have messed up most of my paperwork, resulting in me having to resubmit residency forms, application forms, proof of ID. Somehow they put me as out-of-state which includes a 900% markup per credit. I went from expecting a $150 bill for a single class and ended up with a $1200 bill. No one wants to help sort it out. No one wants to answer the phone. The website is difficult to navigate. Honestly, I have had a single positive experience with one person in Admissions, and everyone else has been pushy, rude, dismissive, and argumentative. I am considering switching to literally any other school in the district. My partner attends SCC and it's laughable how smoothly they handled his transition back to school, compared to mine. Edit: it should also be noted that I had applied to ARC 4 times since 2013 and never received a welcome letter. I had emailed asking why I applied and was not told anything, or emailed, called – nothing. I got no response. Called last month because I was at my wits end and I am told "I can't give you a student ID number because your application was DENIED." I asked why and she told me she couldnt tell me. I asked for a supervisor who immediately told me "we have the wrong SSN for you, so none of your applications were accepted because it didn't watch our records." My CORRECT SSN, was being rejected. In 8 YEARS NO ONE EVER TOLD ME THIS. Just like they didn't tell me I was listed as out of state, despite submitting residency information multiple times. This school is a JOKEI Illyria
The college is great..,.. the bookstore however is 1 star at best. The school district sub-contracted it out and the new facilitators understand that they have a built in market from people having to use their financial aid or other assorted vouchers from various Govt entities and as a result they practice poor customer service utilizing people that are quite adept at rapid fire litanies telling you why none of the delays or shortages are their concern or problem. In fact in my opinion 90% of their employees that deal with the public are nothing more than thugs and bully's. They take no responsibility for faulty instructions in how to use the new book site with vouchers and tell you that they are "saaaawrrrrry" when they tell you they can't locate your books and give you a date when they will be in. Once again, in my opinion, they are nothing more than petty tyrants and bullies that should have their contract terminated for lack of accountability on their part. The layout has changed, alot of the const of the past couple of years is finished. Check updated maps of Campus on Google 😎Greg Spittler

Extremely disorganized and do not care about you or your problem unless you virtue signal. They don’t even pay some of their employees who handle sensitive documents. School has only self interest; considering they have multiple offices not even located on campus (they’re embarrassed being there). They can’t keep a straight and secure staff, it’s really an embarrassment to the community. They even asked for more funding last election with 4 series of funding already. They’re in more debt than they can shake; thank God for the federal bail out money they took from the rest of America. This school is only interested in the little ones who cry Wolf instead of the integrity of America. Beware and avoid at all cost.Michael Madsen
Community college is something most people take for granted. As a Yuba College alumni, I received a high-quality education at a cheap price. What most people don’t know is that the units you take here can transfer to a 4-year university, which is extremely helpful since it’s expensive. Another aspect that makes Yuba College an excellent choice is the quality of education. In university, you are one of hundreds of students and here I got to interact with my professors, easily join clubs, and was part of programs that wanted to help students advance in their careers. Although I now attend university, it’s a place I am proud to come from and something I wish more people would consider. I highly recommend it!!!Jennifer Olivares
my two nieces have had nothing but issues. The staff does not follow thru. loses their paperwork all the time. The Professors do not make an effort to help the students. when the Dam was going to break and we were all evacuated. She had a final, but had no access to a computer and the professor refused to let her make it up and failed her. We went to the dean and no one would do anything about it. That was just wrong. Counselors set them up in all the wrong classes. Takes to long to get out of there.Mary Anderson

What used to be a quality, albeit an expensive education at a quality institution has degraded into nothing more than a typical private college, pay your money get your degree. A lot of the instructors are less than knowledgeable about subjects that most persons in the same subject field at a four year degree level would know. Complaints against faculty that are legitimate and provable are met at first with a sweep it under the rug mentality and if a student continues to push the issue, with outright and blatant retaliation. Classes are changed with no regards to the syllabus, instructors are often unreachable, lacking in knowledge and less than professional. The old adage of you get what you pay for does not hold true for this less than stellar, so called educational institution.Compulsive Reviewer

The SJVC-online BSRT program is very user friendly when it comes to ones computer skills. There are some minor glitches here and there when it comes to assignment communication. I am very happy with my decision in choosing SJVC to obtain my Bachelor’s degree. If you are a busy Respiratory Therapist do not hesitate and sign up asap don’t waste another year thinking you are too busy. This program is set up for busy Respiratory Therapist to thrive in. I enrolled in the MBC certificate program in April of 2021 after loosing my job. I have my degree in medical billing but was doing retail. I was worried about doing straight online school, however the instructors and the adviser Ernie were and are amazing at what they do! I now have made the deans list twice already and have the knowledge I did not before! Thank you SJVC online!Erica Florendo
The staff of this school is pretty good with communication, especially the Dean. Whenever i had a problem he was fast to solve the issue. The experience was great. I did have to find my own extern site, but my career advisor was really supportive and helpful. I wanted to attend the Nursing program but no one has responded so I will probably not do it here. Its a good school!!Anita Ingram

I started the program with Ms Perez as my lab instructor and ended with Ms Patrice. I'm older, laid off from a 25yr career and didn't know what to do with my life let alone where to start. Ms Perez and Ms Patrice made learning so easy, fun and amongst all, they made it interesting and made me feel excited to keep attending. The process at Unitek is easy to complete due to the communication level the staff has with their students. My career advisor, Ms Lisa is great! Ms Lisa Literally held my hand through the exiting process, kept in touch throughout my externship, made sure I was staying sane throughout the process of going to extern, working nights and taking care of my family. Walked me through my application process for a job, held my hand through the interview process, kept in touch throughout the whole process until I got an offer letter!!!! My experience with everyone at Unitek was great, but my experience with Ms Lisa is one that needs to be recognized!!!!Chris Fusi
I had a wonderful experience with Ms. Patrice my laboratory instructor and Ms. Perez. Both have mentored me & helped me become the MA I am today. Ms. Lisa Haynes in Career Services is a hard worker & goes to bat for her students. I received a job offer during my externship, that was too good to pass up as a new grad, thanks to her guidance. I recommend taking your MA in the day class as the PM class lacks structure & professionalism with one particular teacher…that is the only reason I left off a star. The school itself has a fully functioning lab for clinical experience, is safe, clean, holds dinners or gives treats for student morale and tuition is less than other schools in the Bay Area.Jennifer Wills
Instructors are professional with vast and extensive work experiences. They are genuinely caring and helpful for the sucess of the student and learning environment. Each department provided substantial support that made going through the program easier. Courtney and Rachel with Career Services gave us the confidence and tools to help make the transition from student life into the working world smooth.Gigi Tamayo

I attended UEI last year. My program was medical billing and insurance coding. I want to thank my professor Mr. Bruce, for not giving up on, always pushed me to succeed even when I felt I was asking questions in the class when I felt no question was too small or too big because he answered all my questions. I would also like to thank Ms. Ebony who was always there from a shoulder to cry on and a great role model to look up to she was the one that gave me the push and motivation that i Needed to present my assignment to my class assignment. I would also like to thank Ms. Belinda for the great opportunity to work as a student worker after losing my job as a preschool teacher. When I first started everyone was so nice and welcoming and I was happy that I was able to eat to meet everyone. I started my program in April 2021 and my program End on January 2022 . I feel like UEI is not the same anymore because it is harder to get in contact with anyone and you will get the run around for example while on my extern at UEI my grandmother was I admitted to the hospital my only wish was for her to see my walk across the stage Even if that meant my mom recording s so my grandma can see me walk across the stage Unfortunately with graduation day changing my grandmother passed away before my graduation. I am happy that i joined uei because i was able to meet new humble outstanding down to earth people . If you do decide to join uei do not loose you’re focus and let drama distract you from your main goal get your your education and leave.Cassandra Bonner
I decided to try this school, only went a couple times and during that time they let go off my teacher and when the tablet they gave me was messing up they said they would fix it and give it back. I had asked for help on how he was gonna continue online classes they were no help. So I decided this wasn’t the school for me. I called to drop the classes and they said that would be okay. Hadn’t heard from them in months til I randomly get a text welcoming to “my first day” and it wasn’t til I received an email asking me to pay my first payment did I call them and try to ask what was going on. Get some info on why this was happening. While on the phone with them they were very unprofessional, instead of just answering my questions and moving on they made it seem like I was a burden that I wanted to see what was going on. Got transferred to another woman, she tells me something then hangs up on me. I call back and even the main desk hangs up on me. Call again and sends me to a voicemail system like how unprofessional can you guys be! You guys are supposed to be about helping and making your students succeed but when it really comes down to it. That’s all lies. If I could give this school no stars I would.Briezzy Bby
Stay away from this school….ghetto, unprofessional, and a BIG waste of time and money. GO TO CARRINGTON or a different more professional school!! Half of the staff here has quit, they are extremely unorganized, school is overpriced for the education you are given, there were fights every week in the medical assistant program as if it were a middle school or even high school. Graduation was held in a parking lot because I assume they waited to long to book a venue, certification at the end is not a real degree its a thin piece of paper and looks extremely corny to the point my employer made fun of it. Not sure where this tuition money goes but for $19,900 I would expect better certification, a real graduation ceremony, and tools such as books, computers, programs that allow you to practice medical billing etc not a $72 kindle and books that can't leave the classroom. Also keep in mind compared to Carrington and MTI who only has 150 externship hours, UEI requires 250 hours for the medical billing department. Almost $20,000 I could have saved and got a real education through a real college.Czerina B.

Review Summary
I needed to quickly complete a Basic Life Support Class for my new job. Safety Training Seminars had the soonest availability. It's slightly more expensive than some other training programs but since I needed the certification within a short time frame; I went with them. The class is super convenient. You register online for your skills portion and complete the didactic portion in the convenience of your own home, and on your own schedule. The online portion is tailored to your knowledge of BLS. If you are an expert, you will go more quickly through the coursework than a novice. The skills portion was super easy as well. You are given a code, directions, and you show up to an office with the mannequins needed to perform the skills you learned in the online didactic portion. It's a little awkward at first being in the room by yourself performing CPR, but you get used to it. Plus it's nice not being in a classroom setting and having to wait for everyone to complete their skills. Of note, Safety Training Seminars states it is rare for people to pass their skills on the first try. There is a computer in the skills lab that directs you what to do throughout the entire session. This computer also offers a review of what to do for your skills. I highly recommend watching the video before each skill. The sensors on the mannequins are very sensitive, and if you do not follow exactly what is shown on the review video, you will have to do the skill again. Thankfully, I passed most of my skills on the first try and was done in about 20 minutes. Much shorter than going to class!!Yvette Goularte-Mendoza
It was easy. You have a computer and manikin to do your CPR skills test. It’s a step by step process and gives you a demo of the protocol. It’s very specific. It was a bit of a challenge, but the computer is very accurate to measure your CPR skills. I do prefer the human interaction in a class of people. It’s was a strange feeling to do a skills test by yourself in a business building. You have to be quiet to do the test because of the surrounding business offices.Lynn Hernandez
The modules were effective in helping me stay current with my pals. The certification process was so simple – I was able to test on manikins, the computer automated system was easy to navigate and the directions were clear. I was having trouble with my set up (my work paid for a class that was more than I needed) so I called the number in my email, within a few minutes they were able to help me get the appropriate class and I was certified quickly thereafter!Alisa Bazan

I'll give 3 stars for the overall hands-on exam experience. I won't recommend the RQI to everyone. Maybe it is better to get the instructor lead course. RQI (Resuscitation Quality Improvement) tests your skills with a VAM (Voice Assisted Manikin). I'm 5'8'' and this was a horrendous experience. I could not raise the bed to perfume the CPR or I at least I did not see any instruction on how to do so. In relation to the table, I was either too tall or too short. Even the stool was doing little to assist. During the rescue breathing it became more difficult. The space is too tiny, or the setup was put up incorrectly. The adult manikin's head was pointing toward the cabinet. While crouched to provide rescue breathing, I could barely function between the bed and the cabinet. I strongly advise them to relocate the table to the center of the room rather than the corner. By the way, it was difficult to comprehend and follow the audio instructions. And I suppose that's why so many people fail the test 4-5 times before passing it, because with that kind of teaching, you're just stunned right there. Seriously, how could I get out of that cramped space into CPR position in less than 5 seconds unless I threw the mask on the floor on my way to the table? If I did, the next time I had to perform rescue breathing, I'd have to hunt for the mask on the floor first, which would take longer than 5 seconds!Ramsey Alizadeh
I took CPR/BLS training today for the first time ever and the instructor, Wendy Simmons, was very informative and humorous. She gave a lot of great tips and tricks that are easy to remember and my classmates were helpful as well. Also, the class environment followed COVID safety guidelines and felt safe. It didn't take very long to receive the certification – I received it on the same day I took the class. I like that they send text reminders about when your training is and how easy it is to navigate their website for information. I will be coming back to renew my certification in 2 years. Thank you!April Rubio
The instructor is experienced and efficient. The instructor was clear in her communication and was very supportive and gave good instructions in proper method and depth in performing the CPR. Overall, i would recommend this company in providing BLS certifications, whether for first time, for certification renewal, with group or individual learning, or for personal reasons, a grear place to earn your American Heart Association BLS certification.Gerald Garcia

Review Summary
This school only cares about the money you pay them. I remember the director contacting me so many times in a week to pay my past due. I was still waiting for my VA benefits to kick in. Then I was told if I don’t pay by this date, I will be removed from the program. So I applied for a loan to pay off my past due. After that I was never harassed again. I expected a lot from this school. From great didactic instructors to clinical instructors. But that did not happened. I only had one good didactic instructor. My clinical instructor was lazy and always complaining. The leadership did not care about you. Just their well being as a school. Your grades don’t matter. Also they did not care if you are a military veteran. There were times that I had to clock in using my phone which is not allowed, but my clinical instructor was always late so I couldn’t clock in using a computer. I was removed from the MRI program because I was DISHONEST. Instead of helping you to improve, they just remove you from the program because they got what they needed from you. MONEY! No kind of remediation whatsoever. Just after your MONEY. You’re better off with Unitek where they care about their students emotionally, spiritually, and personally. Being a nurse is way better than being an MRI tech.👎Ervan Valdez
I applied to the Gurnick Academy ultrasound technology program ( San Mateo campus ), At first I was getting constant email reminders to complete documents before the deadline date . After I completed everything I had an panel interview set up , the interview went well overall but I was asked a certain question that I didn’t completely understand and when I hesitated ( and felt nervous ) the interviewer rudely responded with frustration at my delayed response . At the end of the interview they informed me that I would receive a response within 3 weeks. Within a few days I received an email demanding that I complete a financial aid form within that day “ just in case” I get into the program even though I hadn’t received an acceptance letter. Well.. 3 weeks passed and I sent a follow up email kindly thanking everyone that attended the interview for there time and consideration . I didn’t get a single reply back from that email , a month after the interview day they emailed me informing that I didn’t get in and should try applying next year . The negative reviews I read after the fact are correct , it seemed like they were only after money .Amani Abdaw
I have had the pleasure of working with Gurnick and their students for over 4 years and can say it has been a wonderful experience. Review Summary
My LOVE for the ultrasound program at Gurnick is way beyond. – from the teachers to the challenging curriculum. All the faculty members of sonography program integrates with compassion into their teaching standards, emphasizes the importance of values, and builds leaders through each of their classes and lessons. Sonography program is not an easy program. You have to be passionate about working in this field with patient care and being proactive. It’s takes a lot of hard work and dedication and determination. The director and the professor’s made sure that each of us are successful in this program. Though it is a private school, I had to work hard for this program and be successful And every member from financial aid to coordinators to front desk made sure that we all are given help and guidance when we need it. Teachers are passionate about seeing their students succeed. They are so great about sharing moments of pride they see within us. I love my ultrasound program at Gurnick. Let’s keep on scanning with love.Rehnaz Bi
Definitely would recommend this school. I am a current student in the ultrasound program and I have gained so much knowledge for the time I have been there thus far. Instructors go above and beyond to make sure the material is taught well and share new skills to make sure we are the best at our jobs, for ourselves and our patients. Jorge, the program director is always finding diverse techniques to make learning a fun experience. The curriculum is awesome as well as the environment. I went in not knowing what I looking at on a “black and white screen” and now I can point out all of the anatomy as well as complete diagnostic exams. If you’re interested, I definitely recommend speaking to Jorge, he always puts the student’s best interests first!Jassamyn Shergill
I am a current Ultrasound student at Gurnick Academy and I am pleased with my decision to apply to this program. This is NOT an easy program, it will challenge you in many ways. However, you are given plenty of support and resources to help you succeed. I have yet to have a day where we are not able to practice scanning, which is very impressive compared to other programs. All instructors are experienced sonographers that set clear expectations for student performance. The director of the Ultrasound Program, Jorge, will go above and beyond for his students while preparing us for the field and anything it may throw at us. I would recommend this program to anyone looking for a serious and successful career in ultrasound.Olivia Smith

Review Summary
I just want to say I have worked here at Regency Place for over ten years and it continues to be a great experience. Working with Northstar management team has been a blast starting with our leader Rick, guiding us with up to date COVID information to our Regional team Evelyn, Hollie and Robin. They are all very helpful and supportive with any assistance that I need. I work very closely with Evelyn and I admire her knowledge which she share so freely. Now working with the new ED, Liz Cruz she is very hands on and I feel that I have her full support as well. She is very structured which is a management style that work well for me. For a new ED it does not seem like she is new to the role, she keeps us encouraged while making sure we are working efficiently. I come to work because Regency residents are my family and I enjoy making them smile each and every day. I get the same in return, they truly make coming to work a joy. Lastly, the management team and staff are amazing, here at Regency we try to get to know each other above and beyond just being co-workers. We are Family!!!!Jane Rowe
I love Regency Place and their excellent staff. My Mom has lived there for two years and loves it. The staff are so sweet and caring. And she absolutely loves the meals that are provided. She's made friends while dining with others in their lovely dining room, and playing games like bingo, dominos and cards. There is a huge library of books and puzzles that she takes full advantage of. The staff do light cleaning for her, (even laundry) and the facility as a whole is spotless & elegant. Last, but not least, I appreciate how the Regency staff has handled the Pandemic, keeping their residents safe from exposure and providing vaccinations at the facility. My mother has told me that she never wants to leave Regency Place.PJ Blohm-Craig
This place and it’s employees really know how to make your family feel like they’re home! From the sweetest lady that greets you at the door, to Cheyenna the CRD making sure we had everything we needed and our time wasn’t stressful (we’ve toured a few facilities trying to find the perfect one), to even the chef making custom treats for the potential residents (we mentioned my moms love for pie on the phone consult and they made one just for our visit!). We were legit blown away! Not as big and fancy as the newer places but they’ve absolutely got the charm.Dimitri Saintidor

Review Summary
I am a current resident here at Greenhaven Estates Assisted Living. I have been here for about 3 and a half months now and i am as comfortable as i could ever be. Unfortunately, health issues landed me here at the community, with that said i find myself in the best community. My house is approximately about 5 miles away from here. I am very fortunate that i found this place. I feel spoiled in the fact that the people here flatter me always making sure of my comfort, needs, and wants. I worked hard for 40 some years for UPS and it exposed me to a lot of businesses. I have really been rewarded as i find myself where i am very comfortable financially. The services provided here make you feel like you're in a higher dollar situation. Due to my recent hospitalization and medical needs it's not all fun and games. The staff here is very attentive and my needs are addressed in a timely fashion. I'm not used to being away from my home and being taken care of by other people but i have to say if this is the life of being retired i find it way more comfortable than i thought. Everyone has their role in the community and seems to do it effortlessly. I have to say it makes me laugh and smile the way staff interact with me. It is the one thing that makes me comfortable from the clinical staff, one of the perks is the mail delivery. Management and I have had our moments. Having a young management team brings about its issues. As i said earlier it does lead us in the long run a feeling of overall comfort & security. i just recently found myself with a name tag as i hang around the front desk so much. I am now known as the Guest Relations. I would personally like to thank Donna (ED), Nofo (MD). Luna (BOM), Brittany (RCC), Eric (ESD), Marcus (Chef), Leslie (AD), caregivers' housekeepers, waitstaff. I know it sounds like i might be sucking up but this is the way i see if and these are the people that make me feel so welcomed and comfortable.Thomas Colla
This place doesn’t have the greatest reviews and maybe many did not have the best experience. I had a loved one reside there when there was constant turnover and change. I grew close to a current resident as she was my auntie’s good friend. I touch base and reach out to her to see if she needs anything and how things are going. As a genuine review on behalf of a resident she has shared that when things need repair the maintenance director responds quickly and kindly. The food director visits and asks how meals are. The activities director does hair and delivers packets, she is one of the managers that has been there for a while. Mail is delivered quickly and statements are sent in a timely manner I think that is accounting manager. The staff is nice and housekeepers are consistent with cleaning schedule. Lastly I asked with all the change if she was willing to stick it out or if she will proceed with moving and as things are improving the residents are gaining trust that there is better days ahead and resident wants to give community one last shot. Thank you to the maintenance director and activities director China that are there for a lasting effect. Although the resident is not blood related it means a lot to know she is pleased with the little things you do. You two really check in and make a difference as you can imagine change for the population could be difficult but your presence reassures residents of the positive change at Greenhaven.Helen Campbell
I work here at Greenhaven Estates as the concierge and the care staff really show pride in the work they do here every day in helping our residents continue to lead fulfilling and happy lives. Our Activities Directors are always thinking up new ways to keep the residents active while working in the restrictions set for safety during these unprecedented times in 2020. From the Executive Director down, every employee here has the best interests of the residents on both our assisted living and memory care sides at the forefront of our actions and intents each day. It makes my day when residents call the front desk to verify meal times and daily activities. The housekeeping staff keep it clean and feeling like a warm and inviting home in the common areas and the dietary staff make and serve the best pineapple cake I’ve ever had. Greenhaven Estates is a really great place to work for the employees and an engaging place to live for the residents.Mary Cinder

Not a question but just a desperate comment. This is so depressing I tried to contact the program director as recommended by the business manager here. She never reached out to me and all I was told is that my money was not going to be refunded because I decided to not continue with the program. Well after ALL of course I don't want to continue with the program all this lies being told to me before you guys took my money. You must know that $1500 is a lot for anyone in my situation that's why I begged to get it back since I borrowed it now I have to pay it back and on top of that my mother is very sick. Not that you care because is not your mother but there is things I could use this money for and I am just so desperate because I can't borrow more money since I can't pay this $1500 back. Can someone please help me. Dr Craig was very rude since the beginning and asking about empathy and morals but ma'am where is your empathy now??? You criticize me for not being able to respond to your question about the meaning of it but do you really know it???? My mother is dying 😢 and all I am asking for is for MY BORROWED MONEY BACK so I can help with something. I am miserable right now. I just need help to get this money that I NEVER USED back please.Other User
I personally had a good experience at Unitek, the instructors Ms. Sarah, Ms. Suttle and Mr. John always had good feedback and I felt that they cared about us getting the subject/task we had to learn. I was pleased with the practice I got to do, though we could have done more practice of urinalysis, snellen chart, hearing tests and others I can not quite remember at this moment. Amanda Garff with career services was awesome! She was always there when I needed any help with a question or with my resume. She goes above and beyond for students. One thing I did not like, was the fact that before we went onto externship, there was not much communication from the extern coordinators to students going out, we did not know our assigned site, or our schedules or the person whom we had to report to until 2 days before our start date! I know myself and other students were kind of upset that we really did not know our schedules so that we could coordinate child care for the ones who have children.I S T
I had an amazing experience at Unitek. Very helpful teachers and all staff members. Each and every one are dedicated to make sure you are prepared for anything needed for school and your career they are helping you build. Debbie Cacy helped me put together a stellar resume, helped me find, prepare and get an interview for my externship site. They also helped me stay on top of everything even when life was a little bit crazy, they reminded me what documents I needed to turn in and when. The communication is amazing. I have never experienced so many people in my corner helping me succeed in every way they possibly can. I would recommend Unitek to any one interested in a career in the medical field. Even after graduation they are helping me to find a job in my field.Cayla Custodio

Throughout my enrollment process everyone has been so helpful an accommodating. I love how you can tell the enrollment staff is very passionate about helping their students get enrolled. Eleshea has been absolutely wonderful helping me through the process she has been excited with me as I am getting prepared for my upcoming semester. You can tell Eleshea truly cares for her job and the students she comes across. She is truly wonderful. Miguel my financial aid officer has been great as well. He is very kind and answers all of my questions throughly laying out all of my options. I cannot wait to start my semester at carrington college. Do not hesitate with this school!jennie montecalvo
The Dental Assisting teachers are absolutely exceptional! They always make you feel welcomed, cared for, and do their best to accommodate everyone’s teaching needs. Mr Miller does hilarious video and Mrs. M helps you relate the learning to yourself or others and that helps you really grab the concept. Karina with student resources is absolutely amazing as well. Everyone was always there to answer any questions I had and they did a great job setting me up for the start of my career.Destany Gomez
I dropped out of a Delta college because I was not getting the help and guidance I needed to succeed. My friend recommended Carrington College so I gave it a shot. I am so close to finishing and my director and teachers I’ve had for the DA program has been nothing but helpful and supportive 100% through the time I have been there. I would definitely recommend attending this school. Staff is super nice and especially the people at the front desk are always so helpful and sweet.Courtney Valentine

I facilitate an Alzheimer's Patient Support Group at Golden Pond. Because of this, I see what goes on at Golden Pond on a weekly basis. They are wonderful with the residents who live at the facility. There are always interesting activities going on there. They have a movie theater where they play a different movie everyday. They have a Bistro for snacks, a pub for libations (it has hours posted when it is open), there is also a small putting green area for those who like golf but can't go to the golf course any more and many more amenities. Their activities department is very active and involved with each resident. I haven't met an employee yet who doesn't know each resident's name. I would have placed my own Mother there if the need had arisen and I love my Mother and always wanted the best for her.Sheryl Perry
I want to publicly thank the Golden Pond staff for taking great care of my mom and dad! They are not easy people to take care of yet I have never seen any staff lose their patience with them like I do. Lol. Since they have been there now 8 months Jill in the front area has given extra special attention to my parents and that has helped us 4 kids feel comforted. The Med techs and other staff check on my parents all the time and really know them and care for them! We live down the street so are there all the time and see this first hand. We looked at three other facilities and had my mom in one of them but it was way too big and confusing to her. We moved her to Golden Pond then my dad and this is their home now. Thank you Golden Pond for the love and care you show my parents!!! Sincerely, Rodney B.Rodney Brown
I thank the staff in memory care for taking such wonderful care of my mother during her last months with Alzheimer's. I only wish I had gotten her there sooner. The activities program brought such joy and quality of life to her! We were just too exhausted keeping up with the day-to-day chores and care to plan those "aha" moments that the activities folks provided her. With all the music and creativity that surrounded my mother, her mind was soothed, her spirit was fed, and her heart felt love and joy. Can't beat that! Even when she didn't remember us, she remembered Bing Crosby's songs (and others). Her foot would tap and her mouth would break into a smile! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!J. E. N.

"Sacramento Montessori School is under new ownership! We welcome you and your child as integral parts of our educational community. We pride ourselves on inclusiveness and encourage you to share your family and cultural traditions as we reveal our proud heritage, grounded solidly in the precepts and practices of Dr. Maria Montessori. Our Montessori teachers and co-teachers encourage independence, courtesy, and sensitivity as they respond to the individual needs of your child. Most importantly, our staff is dedicated to providing the safety and security that children need in order to develop self-reliance through infant, toddler, and pre-kindergarten programs."
Review Summary
My child has been in attendance at Sacramento Montessori for a little over a year and our experience has been incredibly rewarding. As a new-to-Sacramento family, changing preschools was one of many major transitions. The leadership and teaching team at Sacramento Montessori was committed to supporting our spirited and expressive child. Rather than suppressing or trying to bypass challenging moments at school, they partnered with us to figure out what was working and what wasn't; and most importantly, they partnered with us to build resiliency, independence and good communication skills in our child. We’re grateful for the thought and care that my child’s teachers put in to each and every school day; I’ve seen so much growth from age 3.5 to 4.5 years old in my child’s handwriting, letter recognition, emotional regulation and creativity. Kudos to the love that Ms Nanci and Ms Selena put towards creating an impactful bond that made this growth possible. As a bonus, I would be remiss in sharing that the convenience and variation in the meals and snacks the team provides is huge. Going from the daily drudge of packing lunches and snacks to freeing up that time and shopping list from the work week, is a huge delight. If we could do it all over again, we would definitely enroll our child at Sacramento Montessori!Lisa Weir
I only have positive things to say about Sacramento Montessori School. My daughter started attending a little over a year ago and she is thriving. My youngest attended for a couple of months and he learned a lot of skills in that short amount of time. He will be returning in June. Funny Story: I saw a child with a similar pajama to that of my youngest child. I said "Look he has a blue pajama like your brother" and my kid responded "NO mommy, that is Indigo not blue"…… 🙂 The teachers are very communicative and any time I have questions, I get a response within the same day. I get a picture of my child every day, and a report of what she ate and how much she ate, her nap times, and any incidents that may occur. We also get updates or reminders on a regular basis, so I know that the school is always looking out for the children's and staff well being. I highly recommend Sac Montessori!Michelle Gonzalez
We started our son here in October of 2021. There are a lot of schools around and we are so happy we chose the Sacramento Montessori School. His teachers are all wonderful. Even all of the other teachers know every kid's name and who their parents are. This makes my wife and I feel very comfortable dropping him off every day. We love the notifications throughout the day of what they had for breakfast, lunch and snacks from their awesome chef as well as a photo of what they've been up to during the day. The activities they do every day are very well thought out and organized and we can see huge leaps in his development from week to week. We have recommended this school to all of our friends with kids.Raleigh Coppin

Review Summary
This hospital saved my life some years ago. I had an allergic reaction to mushrooms for the first time and googled the nearest hospital. This place showed up and we didn't know it was a VA hospital–we aren't veterans. We landed there at 10 pm and asked for help. The front desk was unsure how to handle us since we weren't vets. On seeing my swollen face, a nurse asked the front desk to figure it out and said I needed immediate assistance. I was given a bed immediately and put on benadryl. Multiple nurses and a kind doctor tended to me for some hours until I was back to normal. They showed kindness, grace, and compassion to a stranger like me in the middle of the night. We went home dreading the hefty bill that would follow but to our shock it was peanuts for the exemplary service we received. I plan to donate to this hospital soon. They're angels in disguise.Robert Martin
I recently went in to ask for a therapy intake form, and staff admitted me to the ER, after someone telling me that there were no psychiatrists. Huh? Then staff said that I was never signed in, when I was triaged. Staff kept looking down, too busy to care, not friendly. It was the most confusing interaction I have had with a medical facility…… Cops were called as well, unnecessarily. I guess I was making a ruckus when I asked for help. I didn’t feel supported at all by the VA. Lastly, a greeter asked if I was “collecting evidence” when I was literally just grabbing a Women’s Health pamphlet. What in the world? I just wanted some help.Amber Odom
I'm just using the VA for free procedures, dental care and physical therapy at this point. Every other service has been absolutely terrible, especially with mental health. Between the lack of communication, not having appointments in a reasonable time frame and the total lack of concern for patients it's just absolutely terrible. They cancel appointments, then don't even try to make a new one, or they forget you have an appointment in the first place! I'm so frustrated with the service I've received over the past year, especially with the lack of accountability. I would NOT recommend.Cierra White

Review Summary
Choosing the right skilled nursing facility for your loved one’s rehab is one of the most important choices you can make. I did not choose Advanced Health Care of Sacramento (AHC) the first time, which was nearly a fatal decision for my dad because this other facility failed to take care of him to the point he nearly died in just 36 hours after his arrival. I selected AHC the next time, and from the moment I got there I knew I made the right choice. The facility and amenities are first class. It’s easy to confuse AHC’s facility with a hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. My uncle, who is not a fan of nursing facilities, was blown away by how clean the facility and the rooms are. The food is excellent. I often marveled at the menu thinking that the patients are getting restaurant quality food. The kitchen staff is very accommodating to special requests. In fact, a few times the kitchen staff would make my dad a milkshake between meals when he had a craving for them. The physical therapists and occupational therapists are very friendly and professional. My dad was not the most cooperative person, but they tried their best to work with him and be very patient with him. They showed more patience with my dad then I would have. Under their guidance, my dad went from being bed-ridden to walking with a cane in a few weeks. The nursing staff was professional. I want to give a special shout out to Linda. My dad loved Linda as his nurse. She’s very friendly, conscientious, and understanding. My dad struggled with delirium often, but he never forgot how well Linda treated him. The administrative staff was awesome: A+. Jon, the administrator of the facility, is very friendly and accommodating. He really impressed me when he took time out of his busy schedule to personally hunt down a piece of important laundry that went missing. Jon and Colleen, the director of nursing, accommodated every request that we had. Please understand that reviews regarding AHC of Sacramento may differ based on the outcome of a patient’s stay at the facility. I write this 5-Star Review after my dad passed away at a hospital. My dad didn’t make it due to the many health challenges he faced, but AHC of Sacramento gave me the opportunity to see him in better shape than I saw in the past 10 years. No other skilled nursing facility could have given me that pleasure. Also, I want you to know that I spent many hours each day with my dad at AHC of Sacramento, including more than 72 consecutive hours back in February 2020. I have a very good idea of what life is like for patients at AHC of Sacramento. Living at AHC of Sacramento is really like living at a hotel. Do whatever you can to get your loved one to stay at AHC of Sacramento. You won’t regret it.Wayne Croley
This place is amazing to say the least. I spent a lot of time researching and visiting many places to find the perfect place for my mom. Everyone here went above and beyond and treated my mom like their own. My mom is a VERY picky person so I wanted to make sure she could be somewhere she felt comfortable and could recover fast. The facility is so beautiful I even joked about wanting to stay. Everyone you come in contact with has such a caring and helpful personality. This is the only facility I was actually greeted in and that smelled good (especially when they are barbequing for the patients) my mom gave the staff 5 stars the food 5 stars and the care 5 stars. She said this was something she was dreading but ended up having a wonderful experience and gained all her strength back. Therapy & nursing were great at keeping me in the loop of her recovery and how she was doing. One thing that really surprised me is how great and involved the administrator is. I would see him checking on patients to see how they were doing and always making sure everyone was well taken care of. I would recommend this place to everyone! My mom went in after hip surgery and was out in 3 weeks feeling amazing. Thank you to ALL the amazing staff at Advanced Health CareBetty Miller
I wish I could thank every single individual that helped my father in his recovery. He's not the easiest person to get along with, but he sure did love it there. The food was good according to him, sometimes a little cold because of all the virus changes apparently, but he really enjoyed it. The therapists were incredibly kind to him and helped him get back home in a jiff! We missed him while he was gone, but grateful for Karrie I think her name is and for Daniel especially. His nurses were always kind to him and we understand it takes time to hepl him. Hopefully if anything happens agin he can come back. He says the fish tank is the best part! Great for a big fisherman like him. Thanks, Rosie.Rosie Arnold

Review Summary
Was excited at first. Went to the campus tour took my whole family was going to be an exciting chapter in my life my parents and I made a lot of sacrifices and saved up a good amount money for housing and for the school itself. Did not want to drive back and fourth everday. everything seemed fine at first seeing all the different areas friendly staff(seemed like they were putting up a show) but once it got to the point of how the class was going to be paid qualify for a money loan or program.. etc to make the story short we followed it along. And i did not qualify for niether i dont even think he tried. I was committed me and my parents had the money for if this happened. (Was not going to take a 2hr drive for nothing) but once the guide told me and my parents "do guys have a rich family member or sombody that can lend you the money" his exact words. We felt discriminated. We had the money me and my family ask the rep if he can give us a couple minutes to think about it. Which at that point we respectfully walked away. Thank him for the tour. I cried the way home this is what me and my parents were saving up for the past 3yrs. To pay my shcool and housing. Opened up a family business with the money me and mostly parents saved up. Best decision of my life. All they care about is your money. And i felt like they discrimated me and my family. They just want your money one way or another. Im not saying there a bad school just the way they aproached things its all about money.Jesse R
the new blackboard update is terrible, the school over all is a good experience, but some of us drive hours away and work full time just to get by, going to the school is great but the blackboard update as off 7/18/22 ruined every time we are expected to be online for 2 hours but with the update And it being so slow I’ve been working all day just to get home and nothing loads, called support multiple times due to instructors sending you home if lab videos aren’t watched this school is not for someone that is already stretched for time they pride them selfs on 3 hour days but after waiting for every video to load and play your waiting 7-8 hours in total now imagine working full time for 8 hours that’s 16 right there in a day to wake up and drive two hours they need to down grade black board it worked better before and where able to play videos at a higher speed though they can argue nobody learned because students where skipping videos the ILT in class filled up for it you learn everything u need to know without being onlineTyler Paul
Im a diesel graduate and when I called to retake the course to refresh on the information thoroughly, I was promised the "course is free after you graduate." Well when I tried calling the school, one of the representatives told me I should just apply to jobs, but what I told him was that I been told by employers that they dont like to hire UTI students/grads because of the bad reputation they have. Also when you apply out in the real world most of these jobs require you to have outside school experience because the school experience to them means nothing, so my question to UTI is, if you really care about your reputation and your students, why dont you help them excel a little more? Offer them the most knowledge, out of this HIGH tuition rate school.Alejandro Cisneros
