20 Best 2 Year Nursing Programs In Riverside, CA (2022 Updated)

I love and loved South Coast College. The best thing about it was its staff. From its court reporting instructors to its paralegal program, everything is taught and intended to provide the student with the best opportunity to leave its halls with knowledge superlative to that of students from anywhere else. What are your chances of obtaining a position in the legal office as a court reporter, paralegal or legal assistant? That is probably what I should have asked myself prior to obtaining a "less-than-godly" student loan! I graduated mentally prepared – but financially not quite ready to work at the rate at which most legal firms hire those fresh out of school! Although I work in a field completely unrelated to that in which I was trained (I graduated from the paralegal program and am one of two people now running a surgical company.) At this time, the courts in Los Angeles and Orange County are hiring court reporters, while deposition agencies like Hahn and Bowersock, Regal Court Reporting, Barkley have all been hiring — keeping graduates busily engaged. I've been involved in the occupation for nearly 25 years. Yes, it has been challenged by electronic recording, but that comes and goes. Its what people make of their own choices in life. Today I am seeing this as a great opportunity for anyone with an entrepreneurial spirit who is willing to jump in and take advantage of the varied paths the skill of court reporting can provide including court and deposition reporting, as well as CART (steno-interpreting for the hearing-impaired) and captioning live television. If you look at the list of new CSRs put out after each test, South Coast ALWAYS produces the most graduates. I came to South Coast straight out of high school, barely an adult. I left at age 21 as a working professional, making more money than any of my peers who attended a four-year college. Really frustrating school. With about 2000 students overall you may think that while it is small it'll just be like any college but smaller. Not the case here. Lots of the students here are commuters which makes the school a ghost town after 4. I've found it to be like a community college that you cant leave if you're a resident. If you use a computer alot and require a decent network connection you're out of luck. At the beginning of the year my internet speed (WITH ETHERNET) was about 60 mbps. If you switch over to wifi you will get about the same. Pretty quick my connection got to be pretty much constantly lower than 10 mbps no matter what. You think that you could just go the the technology department and they could fix it but no. They have one guy in charge of the internet whom I have tried to have a meeting with and he was never there. All I got was the response that he "might be here tomorrow". ???? Isnt it his job to be there every day of the week? Just a really frustrating place.CookieChris

Outdated facilities and more importantly everyone is EXTREMELY rude, faculty AND staff. Good luck trying to find help there because whenever you ask there is CLEAR attitude. It’s almost like they are ungrateful that you are attending school there. Friends of mine wanted to transfer after 1 WEEK. That should say something. Some other students act ENTITLED and as if they own the school. No desire to upgrade student life or facilities. Stay away at all costs.Joe Brown

I think financial aid is run by Dr.Seuss. It’s a literal circus. They barely answer the phone and Stacy is brutal. I think she wrestled in the WWE. I simply and politely asked about my financial aid app and she punch me in throat so hard I started singing Ave Maria. I didn’t even know I knew the song. This is a great university with students from all around the world, very beautiful buildings, gardens and sport facilities. It was a fantastic experience to study there for an year and enjoy such a nice atmosphere. Just be aware that you need a car to travel in weekends, for Riverside itself does not have many attractions, though it's a cozy city.Michael Rachid

Beautiful campus. So green. I love the Eucalyptus trees. It’s quiet in certain areas and social in others when students are around. A little something for everyone. Nice pathways for both walking and cycling. There are benches all around the campus to provide ample sitting areas to either just rest or to study with solar powered charging stations.Sajleen

If you are a Veteran and want to attend this school I recommend you don't. I personally have had multiple issues with communication with the school as well as obtaining an appointment with their one VA counselor. My appointment was made a month and a half out mainly because that specific date was the only day that would work for me. I was suppose to walk in at 4 pm to see the counselor. Mind you I called earlier that day to confirm my appointment, even received an email notification confirming my appointment. They told me they accidentally double booked, but to come in anyways and they will just squeeze me in. Came in at 350 PM checked in the front desk looked confused, I explained the situation and I didn't get seen until 5:45 PM I had a final for speech class at 6 PM. If you decide to take online classes be careful you could end up like me log in and check the course the first day of the semester in this case July 19th 2017 at 8:55 AM and see that there are no notifications or assignments post yet. Log in that Friday still having issues to find out you got dropped that Wednesday for not being active in the course. I logged in that Monday to do the Class work knowing that my other class kept me busy tues, wed, thurs. All just to find out that your email was jacked because of the conversion they did in spring, therefore getting locked from your account. I do not recommend this school or the school district it has only been a constant uphill battle for me and to many stressful occurrences. Attend a Cal State or Cal University.Cody

I have been trying to see a counselor, and so far I have come to the counseling department more than five times. Anytime I went there, they said that there are a lot of students so go come back tomorrow at 8:00 am. When I went there at 8:00 am the next day, they said oh we don't do walk ins, you can go today, but for tomorrow give us a call to confirm if there is any counselor available. I did call them the day before coming they said yes come around 8:00 am you will for sure see a counselor, I got there at 8:00 am, but unfortunately again they said that there are a lot of students and they only have one counselor. I don't know what game do they play with students, I missed going to work for 3 days, and it seems that I might not be able to take any classes this summer just because of not being able to see a counselor. I request the authorities of this nice college to pay attention to this problem, and find some possible ways of solution since the students need to have updated Educationan Plans.Tawfiq Sediqi

This college is a freaking mess and very unorganized!!!! Fist visit, they told me counseling was open until 4:30pm. Got there at 3:34pm and said they stop at 3pm. They told me to come back tomorrow and they will do counseling till 4pm. I got early from work the nex day, and when I get to the counseling office, they said they are not doing counseling today! They tell me to come back tomorrow. They couldn't take appointments because they were too busy that week. I come back the next day, my job let me get off early again, when I get to the counseling they tell me their system is down! They tell me to come back on Saturday for the event. They tell me counseling and student services will be open. I'm here at the counseling at 10am, they freaking tell me no counselors today, they are only taking picture for IDS !!!! This is the worse experience I had. Very unprofessional, not organized!!!! I'm very upset!!!!!Miriam Gal

From my first experience there it is very overwhelming while it confusing to move through the campus and find were to go at first, once you visit continuously it becomes much easier. CBU is pretty rad, and I want to respond to what I've seen in a couple reviews here. The first of which is people saying the location in Riverside sucks. I'll admit Riverside is not super tight, but there is the mission inn and a drive in movie theater and a few other things which are pretty cool within a few minutes of campus. The best part of Riverside is it's less than an hour from the beach, an hour from the mountains, and hour from LA and 45 minutes from a few theme parks. So if you have a car and aren't super lazy, your weekends should be fun. And there's always fun stuff going on campus too, (dive in movie nights at the pool, intramural and NCAA sports games, concerts, carnivals etc.) so if you have a good attitude you can have fun hanging out on campus. People are saying CBU wants your money. Of course they do, so does every other university that is in business. However CBU will really work with you to help you afford the school. Get good grades, maybe go out for a sports team or the music department and you'll get even more money. You have to work for it though, they don't give out serious amounts of money to anyone. If your parents are in ministry (pastor/missionary/work full time at a church) you're in luck too cuz they have scholarships for that too. It's a Christian school… Yep. I wouldn't say intolerant though. You will be taught what they believe to be Christian values and you can only expect that. There's like 7,000 students too so I'm sure there are rude intolerant ones there too. I think you will find rude/intolerant people no matter where you go but it most definitely is not the essence of the student body. CBU has a uniquely welcoming and loving community, and that's something I've heard from Christians and non-Christians alike at the school. Both are welcome to come but both also are required to go to chapel and follow the rules. I don't agree with all the rules but most of them are a pretty reasonable balance of trying to give freedom to students and adhere to Christian principles (coming from a non-conservative Christian background). That's part of making the decision to go to a Christian university, and realistically it's probably what's best for you anyways. If anyone has anything bad to say about the food I don't know what world famous chef you had cooking for you your entire life before here. The caf has killer variety, Chik-fil-a is freaking Chik-fil-a, Wandas has great breakfast and the best steak quesadillas, and El-Monte is as good as Chipotle. CBU does give real world experience. I know as a business major there are some awesome professors that are all about real world experience. Dr. Weniger and Alderson are a couple that come to mind. You get out what you put into your classes and almost every single professor at the school is very open to spending time with you helping you out with homework or just life. Academics are pretty top tier, but professors do come and go and though most are great, some are much better than others, so do a little time looking round rate my professor if you want the best ones. CBU is great. Sure there are other universities that are great too (not to many that compare that are in Southern California though) but CBU is a well rounded school academically, socially and spiritually. No school/student body is perfect, that's just life, but CBU is a solid choice to spend 4 years growing academically and spiritually into who you are going to be the rest of your life.Jake Roque

Okay, so I went to this school originally considering a nursing degree. It's hard to have many nice things to say about this school.. The school looks nice, but the neighborhood area is crap. You have to drive kinda far to see or do anything nice. It's hardly in Riverside, CA. Feel more like Norco, armpit of California. They put most of their students in cheap housing. Much of it was temporary when I was there. Other housing was old folks homes. Weird cheap, and kinda gross. The major feature of this school is this: They want your money. That's all. It's nothing spectacular in any way, and based on the price, it's a really bad deal. They "award" small scholarships to practically any student for any reason. They try to bring in a bunch of students through their music school. A music degree is NOT WORTH 100k- 150k of debt. And please remember folks, if everybody gets a scholarship, it's not actually a scholarship. THINK about it.. They just want your attention and your money. ALSO, Please be aware they will be raising the tuition on you every year, by lots of money! If you start at 30-35k, You will probably end at 40-45k annually. It's probably costing something around or over 40 or more thousand per year now. And YOU WILL pay more than you think by the end of the year. It's a Christian school, which is fine if you're a Christian. They are relatively intolerant conservatives though. Very serious/ oppressive Christian all over the place. Many of the students are sheltered, and having moved on to a regular university, I can tell you it doesn't represent the real world experience, or normal people, for the most part. Regarding this: Don't bother going here unless you're a rich serious sheltered Christian. If that's what you value, then maybe you'll like this place. Some of the people are fairly friendly, and the food in the cafeteria was good WHEN I was there. That more than a year ago. Some of the teachers were alright as well. I mostly took science classes, for reference. In summary, if you're not a young Christian who has no desire for real-world experience,then don't go here. The price is so not worth it! It's an institution for profit! Go to your local community college and earn entrance to a great University! Even Ivy league schools are looking to replace young dropouts with students that did well in their community colleges! It's just not worth it. If you're a thinking person, you'll start hating this school not long after you get there. NOT WORTH ITMichael D. Bear

I loved all 4 years at this school! As a freshman, I lived in the dorms and met my group of closest friends that I still hang out with to this day. I loved the food and had to be careful with dessert in the cafeteria otherwise I would have packed on the calories. The school does a great job of setting up events that target every student and gives great deals for other off-campus events like cheap Lakers tickets, cheap tickets to theme parks, and other giveaways. I am Mexican and I have never once felt like I was discriminated against at this school, if anything there are plenty of people at this school who make an effort to talk about racial injustices among students. As far as the incident in Ontario, I just want to say that you can find that level of ingorance at any university and even more so outside of that setting. Two girls made a stupid decision to throw a drink on a guy and they happened to be CBU students. If I’m being real here, CBU does not turn many people away when it comes to the application process, so any person who has higher than a 2.5 GPA will most likely get in. CBU does not necessarily focus on whether you are a Christian or not because they’d rather have you here at this school than at a school where the chance of hearing the gospel is much lower. Now back to the point, CBU is honestly such a great school and if you’ve ever visited, you notice right away that the atmosphere is one that you can’t find in many other places. People treat you with love, respect, understanding, and kindness. CBU is a school that truly looks to serve the students in any way possible and that’s the truth. Don’t let others who are are upset about what happened in Ontario tear down the idea of coming to this school because you will definitely see that the number of students who will treat you with love and respect far outweighs the ones who would pour a drink on you for sitting during the national anthem. Graduated here in 2018. Yes the school is not perfect. but it is affordable and offers all sorts of academic programs for students & for those who are interested in learning a new skill. A few issues with the homeless people who easily make their way in the school's restroom and leave all their mess inside. A bit more security is also needed because of the area surrounding the school, but overall it's a good community college. Looking back now, I miss every moment I got to spend here. The SJVC-online BSRT program is very user friendly when it comes to ones computer skills. There are some minor glitches here and there when it comes to assignment communication. I am very happy with my decision in choosing SJVC to obtain my Bachelor’s degree. I enrolled in the MBC certificate program in April of 2021 after loosing my job. I have my degree in medical billing but was doing retail. I was worried about doing straight online school, however the instructors and the adviser Ernie were and are amazing at what they do! The staff of this school is pretty good with communication, especially the Dean. Whenever i had a problem he was fast to solve the issue. The experience was great. I did have to find my own extern site, but my career advisor was really supportive and helpful. I wanted to attend the Nursing program but no one has responded so I will probably not do it here. Signed the Enrollment paperwork the first time and the start dates were wrong. By the time they sent me the enrollment paperwork to sign that had the right dates I had decided to not go to school there for various reasons, mostly because CCI doesn't work with any bank for student loans, they expect you to take out personal loans and lie to the banks about what you will use the money for (highly illegal). Told the school I would not be attending there and continue to get emailed almost every single night at midnight to sign my enrollment paperwork. I told the front desk staff 2 times that I would not be attending and to stop sending me emails and they continue to email me for weeks. Additionally 3 YEARS LATER they decided to send me to collections for $80 claiming I didn't pay the enrollment fee when I know I did because I paid it the exact same time as another student and they didn't send that student to collections. And since I didn't keep a paper recipient from 3 YEARS AGO then I have to pay through collections. Keep in mind CCI clearly had my email and phone number to contact me over a 3 year period to pay the enrollment fee, for the school I did not attend by the way, but instead of doing that they would rather send you to collections and hurt your credit score, over $80. Not once was in contacted about owing any money to the school. Let's just say I am so happy that I ended up not attending CCI, blessing in disguise.Danica Johnson

This is the most unorganized, unprofessional, unethical school I’ve experienced. They treat their students like elementary children, lie about funds, and demean you like you know absolutely nothing. I had a 4.0 the whole time I attended, yet there was a problem every single day whether it be with the unorganized clinical instructor who contradicted herself daily, or from student services, even the DON. All they want is your money they could care less about helping you through nursing school, or making sure you have what you need. As long as they’re paid, they don’t care. 95% of the staff are rude. My class didn’t start clinicals until mid level 2, when it was advertised and told to us that we would start WEEK SIX OF LEVEL 1. They try to blame it on covid, or the clinical sites, when in fact here just unorganized. I went to school here for Medical Assistant in 2016, enrolling was super easy and the staff were helpful with fafsa when I had no clue how that worked. I loved that it was a short fast 9 month program , and in class I definitely liked that the first 2 hours was book work & the other 2 hours we did all the hands on work! I had a great experience here having Ms. J as a teacher she made sure we did everything the right way & that we understood everything . But I do wish they held graduation at a different location other than outside at the school .Evelyn Nunez

I had a great experience at this training center yesterday! This facility is friendly, has great equipment, small class sizes, and we were fortunate to have a very knowledgeable instructor, Doctor Sergio. We had 5 people in our class, and we were encouraged to practice our skills as many times as we needed. There was plenty of equipment, and the equipment was new and up-to-date. The prices are better than other centers, but they do not skimp on quality. They even had coffee, breakfast rolls and snacks for us! Wonderful school and very qualified instructors. I initially chose this school because it is close to my house, but I am very glad I signed up for their CNA program. Both the classroom and clinical instructors went above and beyond to make sure we were well prepared for the state exam, as well as the office staff, who made sure we had all the paperwork in order to receive our CNA license. I took an ACLS class at the North Hollywood location and loved it! The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. Not only did I come out of the class learning a lot but I also had a lot of fun. The instructor, Sergio, was extremely educated and was extra patient with each and every one of us throughout the entire class. I graduated from the Dental Hygiene department at the San Bernardino campus. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. The staff truly has your best interest at heart. They will spend countless hours to ensure the students feel confident and prepared for state exams and our future career. The classes are challenging as they should be. If you put the work in, you’ll succeed in this program. I passed all three state exams first try. On the clinic floor there are multiple instructors and different doctors on staff so you are able to learn from multiple clinicians. Beyond the educational portion, Concorde was like a second family to me. From walking through the doors being greeted by security guard LT, down the hall seeing Mrs. Ludwig’s infectious smile, to the staff lounge filled with inspiring teachers; I know I always have a home at Concorde and have mentors I can connect with for years to come.Dani Alcantar

As a student here I advise not to go to this school for the Respiratory Therapist class. You pay book fees for the ACLS and NRP and they don't let you keep the books. Then they don't tell you that you have to pay for the course because it's not covered. This school rips off there students and you pay unknown fee's. I don't advise this school and you are better off going to a different school. Plus for the last term which is the most important they don't even teach you and you don't go to a seminar for Kettering. They tell you good luck. This school is unprofessional and the RT director doesn't care about the students they just care about money. GO TO A DIFFERENT SCHOOL BECAUSE YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS ONE. Concorde has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my healthcare career! I got my LVN from a different school and wasn't too happy about the experience, so walking into Concorde to inquire about the Neurodiagnostic I was really leery. Let's just say when meeting with Melody Villa was amazing addressing any and all questions I had, I couldn't be more thankful for her and making me feel at ease in taking this step! Please just go to a community college. These people just want your money. I went in to talk to Yolanda about any existing debt i had with them and she gave me the run around for over an hour and a half saying she was at the bank. Instead of speaking with me directly she just had the secretary tell me she’d be back soon. It wasn’t until someone higher up noticed me waiting and he reffeded me to the financing office. Yet on the other hand all the new potential student were seen immediately and the first thing they had them do was go see if the qualify for financing. That alone shows that they’re only in it for the money and once you get the loan they’re couldn’t care less for you. When i went here they promised to have tutors and great teachers. I ended up with a teach who after 3 months stop showing up. And during his time there he would just have us read our books alone and he would give us the test answers before we took the test. When i would ask for a tutor the people in the office would always tell me they didnt have anyone available. I wasted over 10 grand with this school for nothing.Joel Pine

Where i spent time at avc and lancaster beauty college but I did not graduate And then I started attending Southwest college Where I stopped college again. Then in 2004 I got pregnant and restarted college at Bryman college in West Los angeles ca. But now there closed down and then I started looking to further my education even more so I went to american career colleges. and I started criminal justice at uei twice once in south gate and once in riverside ca but when I checked in this last time I was willing and ready to graduate from uei college I made the time for school even when I was on my busiest days even at while working on the job now im I have three weeks left for college when Im thinking im going to finish college and go to my extern site. It wasnt even happening because all the kids I have. And Im going to another school after this college. Im moving to hollywood after this. I just completed my 1st class day. I was impressed with the staff. My instructor seems to be very knowledgeable, and patient. I am an older student with some special mobility needs. They have been very accommodating thus far. I'm looking forward to getting into the course, it seems challenging. They do offer a variety of class schedules to accommodate most anyone's needs. I chose evenings because I'm a night person, but most choose evenings because of work hours. This is the third vocational college I've attended. So far UEI has exhibited more caring and professionalism than the others. The previous Vocational College I attended I was taken back by how the Admissions Director treated students, including myself. I did have a sit down with her eventually. Reminding her that I wasn't a 19 student fresh from high school. I was, and am, a 17 yr. Disabled Veteran. So far UEI has been respectful of my age and special needs. The instructor was very knowledgable. He presented the material in a way that he correlated and gave examples that connected to everyday experiences. He made the class go by pretty quickly! The classroom was cozy had it's independent AC. The necessary equipment was really available and accessible. The classroom is inside what looks like a roofing company and as I stated previously it was within the same building but still was independent from the other company. This class was in great detail the instructor was easy to understand he made sure everyone was up to speed. This is my second time taking my BLS with them and I plan to be back in two years for my next renewal. They sent me a reminder that my renewal was coming up which I loved.Melinda O'Brien

Reclaiming my time!!! I am just beyond appalled with the "help" I did not receive. After submitting an application via the website it took about 2 weeks for a member to reach out to me. When they did reach out to me all they told me about was that the class started in which I was trying to take which was security guard that it started yesterday on Monday March 7th. Being that I completed an application way before the start time of the class you would think someone would reach out to me and tell me about the funding that they have available. Not the case. I was told to call a number and figure it out myself as far as funding goes for the security class. Long story short if your looking for a security class to take and your paying for it then go online it's far cheaper! Very disappointed.sadiq bolden

This school helped me achieve my goals regarding my education. I’m grateful for all my teachers who believed that was capable to complete each course I took. I recommend this school to those who wants to have more skills for a better job and for those who wants to pursue a career. Child Development Class had helped me expand my vocabulary as an ESL student and also helped me be more confident about my skills to pursue a career in Child Development field. Thanks to Mrs. Johnson and Ms.Velazquez I got my permit as Teacher Assistant but I will get more training to became a great teacher. I was attended for 6 Months until Mr. T automotive technician class stopped due to him retiring . & unfortunately he didnt input my attendance so basically only got certified for Technology 1 & Suspension and Steering . For being there for six months I was told I was suppose to receive more certifications than two . So I called the office and they informed me if I wanted to get those certifications that I didn’t get that I would have to retake the class and to make matters worse till this day they still haven’t found a replacement for the automotive tech class! So I basically just wasted my time . So unprofessional so unorganized . What a waste of timeBryant Mena

Internet and TV have been migrated to a hotel-like service. If these are important to you then this is not the place for you. I'm moving because of it. RESPONSE TO RESPONSE: I think they will eventually get things figured out, but here is my experience so far: Spectrum managed to provide excellent service despite the aged infrastructure. They gave individualized service and provided familiar technology solutions that enabled me to work from home, 450Mbps down and 25Mbps up. I had 2 DVRs and could record shows and watch them at my leisure. I connected 30 devices to the network, including cameras, lighting control, a smart thermostat, and smart doorbell. Project overview: Westmont Living, the parent company of Westmont Village here in Riverside decided to take over the infrastructure from Spectrum. I understand there is some litigation there, but as of now Spectrum Business is simply providing the point of presence at the "gate" and Westmont takes that 1 Gbps connection to their main building. They installed a DirecTV dish on that building and then redistribute it along with internet service to the ~300 independent homes, charging $99 for the bundle. I have no doubt that money savings (for Westmont, not the tenants) is the motivation for this change. How it went: the "migration" began April 30. It's now May 31 and I still do not have usable internet (I'm using a hot spot from work to post this); TV service is 99 channels, take it or leave it. No DVR option as of yet, and no option to upgrade. I called DirecTV and was told I had to contact the reseller, Broadband Hospitality, who redirected me to DirecTV. The hardware installed is for a hotel room, not a 2 or 3 bedroom house. The Wi-Fi signal doesn't make it to the center of the house, and you need to register each device on the network. Think of a hotel where you have to log in with your room number and name. Now do that for each device you have. Fun. Oh, and they limited your devices to 8, ostensibly to reduce the time a technician had to spend with each household helping senior citizens connect their devices. Here are some comments I've heard from the technician on site regarding the migration project: 'We weren't prepared for this project, we didn't know it was such an old infrastructure. All our previous projects have been single building, new construction. ' 'I heard the original plan was to migrate a street at a time instead of all 300+ homes.' I do think there will be a usable solution once all the kinks are worked out; replacing bad underground cables, balancing the signal, and installing appropriate in-home devices. The project management of this migration has left most residents with a bad taste, and I hope those that stay will have better service in the future.Tim Cool

This is in response to Gabriella's reply on 7/13/22 to my original review : Westmont suggested we contact Keith Kasen, property manager, to have our issues resolved. Keith has come to our home to see the issues for himself. I have sent him numerous emails and voicemails that go unanswered. And I am sorry, but Westmont using Covid as an excuse is insulting. Our landscaping hasn't been done in over 6 months. We can see landscapers working on the main areas you see as you drive in on any given day. There are workers here. If you don't have maintenance workers to install a toilet, you hire a plumber. There were plenty of plumbers willing to install toilets (that have been available at hardware stores during the pandemic). Maybe we still wouldn't be having issues with the toilet if a plumber had installed it. A resident shouldn't have to wait for 18 months and then have management use Covid as an excuse. Same goes for not repairing our oven for a year. I could go on and on. Bottom line is, I think it would be an unwise decision to move into Westmont Village right now. Original Review: As many other recent reviewers on Yelp have stated, Westmont Village has undergone an incredible downhill slide. My husband and I moved here a year and a half ago. It was a beautiful community and our visitors commented on how idyllic the homes and area were. No longer is this the case. A tour of the property shows the first few streets are beautifully maintained but further back shows overgrowth a general lack of care. I feel that services such as home repairs and landscaping are virtually non-existent (even though they are included in the rent we pay). Any response from management takes several emails and/or calls only to be ignored or pushed aside with total disrespect bordering on arrogance. There does not seem to be the least bit of concern for the residents’ issues. We had to wait over a year to have the oven repaired (which still does not work properly). It has taken over 18 months to have a broken toilet replaced as the old one could not be repaired. The new toilet does not flush properly and there is not more than a couple cups of water that fill the bowl. This is an ongoing problem for which management has given no timeline for repair – just radio silence. Further repairs that have not been addressed include an outside water leak and damage to stucco. The property manager is well aware of all these issues and yet they still exist. Between the problems stated above and the internet / television service catastrophe that other Yelp reviewers have outlined, this has become a very stressful place to live. From the day we moved in October 2020, their was a mistake with their billing. We had made 5 attempts to get it corrected and only a small portion has been returned. They do not return phone calls and ingnor you. I am going to have to file a small claims action to have my money returned. The money that is owed to me will now be retroactive with penalties and interest from 2020. The grounds are in a constant state of dead grass and is un kepped. I gave my 30 day notice on July 31, for a move out date for the 31st of Augest. I returned the home in near perfect condition. Land lords have within 21 days to return your deposit. On day 21 I still had not receivd any money, no communication. I spoke with Noa and he advised me that the check had been mailed. It is the 22nd of September and I still have not received any funds. I am contacting C.A.R. attorneys to start a small claims action. In California if your landlord has keeped or not returned your deposit within the 21days, the penalty is the amount of the deposit and 2 times that amount up to $10,000, anything over that is a civil matter. I hate to think who else have they done this to.Brett Boyd

Had so much fun. Super upbeat .they have got tons of things going on in every room. Lots and lots of activity options, like a CARD room and a BINGO room. I played bingo. I almost won 1 of the games. For the bingo they offer an EARLY BIRD round .I was late so I just bought the regular available buy in that COSTS $11. That included enough games that I gave the rest of mine to another lady because I ended up needing to leave after about an hour.They have a VERY GOOD SNACK AREA in there with treats soda waters chips and huge beef hotdogs all items were PRICED LOW and TASTED FRESH.Everyone was really sweet and extremely friendly and helpful. They all made us feel more than welcome . it was awesome.TOTALLY RECOMMEND. IT ROCKED!!!!jaime halesworth

While we don't have a teacher we make up for that by helping each other and gladly help all new members with patterns and instructions. I hate a great experience in the x-ray program! It is a fast paced program which does make it a challenge but as long as you’re on top of your homework you should do fine. I got a few job offers while in the clinic rotation and had no problem at all getting a job once I graduated! Mr. A cares so much about his students and wants nothing than for them to succeed! I am now a working licensed LVN, my cohort went through schooling together while Covid interrupted our ability to do our full clinical schedule, the staff and educators did a great job making sure we graduated and learned what we were supposed to. Decided not to complete my MA program. This school was terrible to communicate with from the very beginning. No one gets back to you in a timely manner unless you are making them lose money. They don’t go over all the information you should know before you start the program. I was unsure of my conpletion or graduation date, after reaching out to multiple people I was finally contacted to be told I start externs the week after. I assumed all my hours would be completed after I finish my classes, they failed to communicate I would need to quit my job to do a full time externship, which is a very poorly planned out experience. Im not blaming the school for my bad experiences at externs since you go to an actual office, but they definitely do not prepare you for the aggressive field you are walking into. I finished my classes with a 3.9 GPA and aced my certification test first round, but lack of practice and structure in the classroom made me feel like a failure in the actual field of work. Im not saying don't go to this school, just be weary of what you’re walking into. As stated before I was an excellent student and had no issues with my class work but the communication on the schools end makes it impossible to complete.Miranda Loke

The electrician program teaches you a lot of theory and nothing on sorely needed experience. It would make for a great electrical engineering education, but unless you worked as an apprentice already, this is not how to start your career as an electrician. I will admit the skills I acquired and learned are valuable for engineers. I'm hoping one day they train engineers with what they teach. EDIT: I do wish they didn't tell me an electronics technician and an electrician are essentially the same job because they really aren't. I never got hired as one several months after graduating here. Because of this expectation I still regret going and wasting my money that could've went to the job I intended to learn about. A few years later since graduating and I still feel like I got scammed. If they were honest in the first place I wouldn't have lowered my rating.Aslon Christy

SIVC helped me fulfill my dreams. I entered the Construction Managment program 14 months ago. I learned so much information about the construction industry. For the classes tha gave me struggle my counselor assisted me with a counselor. I attended in class and online. I loved both. The teachers are knowledgeable in their field. They make themselves available for questions and advice. The program was hard for me. I studied every waking moment. You get out what you put in. I never thought I would be graduating at this stage of my life from a accelerated CM program. I now have a internship with the company of my dreams. This school gives you the tools you need to be successful but you have to be committed. If You are serious about your future. Come check them out. You won't regret it. Keeping it real. Wonderful staff at Best American Healthcare University (BAHU). I highly encourage taking the in-person classes as opposed to the online classes, you’ll learn more. I took the online classes and did just fine. I can’t stress enough how important it is to listen to your instructor (Ms. Morgan). She knows what she’s doing and knows what she’s talking about, so listen up. She is literally the key to you passing the CNA exam, I’m living proof of that. For online students, here’s some info that might help you: 1. Start the modules immediately/as soon as you can. 2. Don’t expect anyone to hold your hand throughout this process. 3. Know exactly what you need to do so that you are ready for your test (complete the 160 hours of modules, attend the required in-person classes & submit all necessary documents). 4. For the skills test, do NOT solely rely on old out of state YouTube videos. Most of those videos are there to give you a general understanding of skills and should not be taken to heart, especially if you’re testing in CA. General advice: if you studied at the Riverside location, take the test at the Riverside location, you’ll be familiar with the environment & supplies which will help you on test day. On the day of the test, your anxiety and nervousness will cloud your memory so practice the skills until it’s second nature. Good luck and welcome to BAHU.Iago Netto

Excellent RN Refresher Course for newly grad nurses and nurses that have not worked for a while to increase ”confidence” and feel ”ready” before they go out in the workforce. I enjoyed the Easiness to read of text books and how everything was nicely organized as modules to take exams online. I would honestly recommend this school as it really helped me feel ready to go back to work after being out for almost 19 years. By the way, I got hired to work at a children’s hospital while taking this course and I attribute the fast hiring due to me taking a refresher course since I had not worked in a while.Delia Miller

DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PROGRAM. completely unprofessional, ill-informed staff, and volunteer location (especially Pomona valley hospital) is poorly managed. We would grade our own tests and just tell the teacher how much we scored. Site instructors would just sign our attendance logs and let everyone leave early. The program director Dr. Jane is rude and condescending. The first thing they asked me when I sign my paperwork is "Okay so when can you start paying". They have you pay them through PayPal? Don't waste your time here. Glad I quit the program when I did. This is a scam.Kevin Wiens
