I went to the campus that is located in Beaverton and they are a building off site of the campus but have a Transit center right directly across from the campus making it very convenient for anyone that would like to take that versus driving and paying parking however the parking was free for me that day the campus grounds are very clean and I felt safe by the security and overall feel. there was not a lot of people at all as they are being very very careful with restrictions on covid. I attended a class for testing on the GED and they were very careful to not expose or compromise anyone's health so be prepared and warned now to be current on their covid restrictions and policiesHeather Chick Hawes

It was such a beautiful day I had gone to Sheridan's Market. Which, I have to say, is one of the best places I've found in Portland since moving here 8 years ago. I decided to go and sit under the trees in the Park blocks. I read the first chapter of "The Body Keeps the Score" with the work book. If you know someone or you yourself suffer from PTSD. It is an amazing read and helps so much. Dogs were roaming though the park with their owners. Runners everywhere. Just overall an amazing day.Bradley Renfeldt-King

Graduated from here. If you’re looking to be competitive, def would not recommend the psych BS/BA program unless you’re ready to find off-campus opportunities. The instructors are variable, with limited on-campus opportunities compares to places like OSU/UO/WSU/UW. However, if you’re looking to transfer and complete your coursework and get your degree, this option is fine.Michael Demi

The teachers are great and the campus is nice but trying to get financial aid during COVID is impossible. The financial aid advisors are rude and don’t seem like they want to help you at all. Just because of this reason I will not be recommending MHCC to any of my friends and would suggest to go to Clackamas Community College where they are much, MUCH more helpful.Dima Poperechnyy

They make you jump through hoops and pass you around with little to no help. As an adult student using the GI Bill, I think this was the perfect way for me to get back into the swing of college again. The instructors are way overqualified in most cases, and I think it is shameful that most of them have to work at multiple colleges in the area in order to pay their bills. The cost for students is a great value. The buildings have all been updated and I think are great. I really enjoyed coming here. I ended up with 2 associates degrees when I left here. The cafeteria when I was here was not good. Horrible food that was too salty for the most part. The section that helps Veterans maneuver the funding was questionable at times, but the area for Veterans to hang out or study was pretty darn awesome. Parking can be tight depending on the time of day.Andrea F

The Oregon City Campus is beautiful! The one stand out regarding education at CCC is the faculty care about their students. CCC is also the most economical Community College in the state. Some points of interest would be the Environmental Learning Center. What a fabulous place to view wildlife, native plants and meander peacefully around the paths. Parking is close. You can meander another 2.1 miles around the perimeter of the college on a wide path. Most is paved, the remainder is finely crushed compacted gravel, so pushing a pram or pulling a wagon full of little ones is easy. Many spots are shaded for you true Oregonian 🙂Karen M

I'd be very wary with this school. They don't pay the teachers for their full work. Instead ONLY pay them for the time they're with students and none of the prep. I don't know how this is legal, but it's robbing the students of an adequate education, and exploiting the teachers hard work. High turn over rate. The place is poorly run and managed. A lot of misinformation. The school lacks a lot of basic supplies to teach, and lacked even a first aid kit.Willie Garcia

I am the parent of a student. I am very disappointed in the graduation venue they chose for these students who have worked so hard. First off everyone is talking through the ceremony, the sound system horrible, and awful old school auditorium. How disrespectful to the students to provide such a venue. I went to the Nursing program here after being CNA for several years, attending the program and getting licensed was the best decision I have ever made. The professors and instructors were very supportive. I was in the dental assisting program. I had the best experience with Carrington College. I had an amazing instructor, Mrs. Rochelle and a awesome career advisor, Tim. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed. Sam, at the front desk, was always great. She cracked a joke every once in a while which just sets your day off right. Lectures were very informative. Mrs. Rochelle has a background in dentistry and in public health, so it was a great experience learning from someone who knew what they were talking about. She will always work with you and set you up for success. Tim is the kind of career advisor you need as you are heading off to your externship sites, he will work with you, answer your questions, he is also honest and straight forward. If you’re considering coming to this school, please save yourself the $17K! Im currently a 2nd term student in this school. However, our teacher left as soon as term 1 was completed. Today, I have been in my course for a whole term with NO INSTRUCTOR/TEACHER. We are coming to campus twice a week and still learning nothing or comprehending the work. We been bouncing in between instructors for other courses who has no idea what we should actually be doing. Im considering withdrawing and pursuing my reimbursement. Wish I had done more research about this school. I contacted all appropriate people, admins, deans, supervisors. Nothing has changed, empty promises of “someone filling in or actually teaching the class” nope. Still no one and it’s been over a month. I start the MA program on Tuesday but everyone has be SO unbelievably helpful from the first phone call til now. I never thought I’d have a chance to go to college, my parents didn’t talk to me about it or encourage me. I finally decided it was time and Courtney made me feel safe and confident that I’d be successful. Fast forward to orientation, I had a leg injury and was nervous that I’d stick out. Everyone jumped in to help me and didn’t treat me any differently. I have a feeling I’m going to miss this place when I graduate. Thank you to everyone who’s helped get me to this point! 💙Kailey

My mother has lived in the independent living section (her own apartment) there for 2 years. What a wonderful community of residents and workers. There is also an assisted living section and a memory care section. There are tons of activities, a gym and personal trainer who has trained in senior exercise. the grounds back the woods and have a paved path that goes all around the property for walking, as well as garden areas for the residents. It is in a quiet and established neighborhood off Division St. in Portland. The food in the dining room is incredible–I would rank it in the top 5 places I have ever eaten. Lots of choices and beautiful presentation. My mom eats all her dinners there and some breakfasts and lunches, even though she has a small kitchen in her apartment. The staff is so friendly and caring. What a great place for my mom to retain her independence but have the supports in place for me to be comfortable with that.Anita Wells

My Dad moved in here about a year ago. He couldn't be happier!! He lost my Mom 3 years ago and has been very lonely. He didn't consider himself old enough to go into Independent Living but my brother and I convinced him to check it out. The monthly expenses are reasonable, he gets one free meal a day in the beautiful dining room or delivered if he isn't feeling social. He feels genuinely cared for and has made good friends already. I highly recommend checking this place out if you are in the market. I understand it wouldn't be for everyone, as it is a very liberal leaning community, but everyone is very open minded to other opinions. We have been living at Courtyard at Mt.Tabor for 6 months and are so pleased with our move. It is never easy to sell a beautiful house and downsize but the end results are so worth it. We atill have all our independence,such as our car and more importantly, our dog. but less things to worry about. The food is very, very good. Menu options always include fresh fruits and vegetables. Laundry options are free and in our buiding. There are two libraries plus a connection with the county library. We choose activities that interest us and are as busy as we want to be. The staff is friendly and are supportive of any requests. This is our new home and we are thankful for it.Katherine Zimmerman

My mother’s circumstances before arriving to Brookdale were dire and filled with uncertainty due to past partner abuse, loneliness and neglect. Our choice to have her live there was made out of time urgency, location and they had a sense of genuine caregiving. Brookdale Oswego Springs “fit the bill” and we would reassess in a few months. That few months has turned into 15 months and so much has happened in that time frame. I can declare that had it not been for the kind, efficient and personal care of the staff and administrators, my mom would not have made the tremendous strides in her physical and mental health, once again cheerful and optimistic. She feels safe and secure in her environment. Brookdale has done their best with all the pandemic challenges and trying to control duties and care, with regards to providing as much normalcy and resident interaction as possible. At the beginning, staff turnover was a concern but has since stabilized. Occasionally short staffed and newly-trained assistants can cause a few things to fall in between the cracks but a quick phone call to Kiki, Leah,Scott and Ellie have been our”rock” and ”fixer” for any concerns we’ve had. I feel rewarded that mom has expressed that “we saved her life” after what she’s been through and says that she’s looking forward to celebrating her 90th birthday, here- in 2022!orangekittymom

I’ve lived at Brookdale Oswego Springs for 8 years & have been 100% satisfied with my experience here or I would have moved elsewhere. When I moved in I was in bad shape physically as I could barely walk on my own, fell often & staff had to help me get up. The attention & help I received from all of the staff here was, & continues to be, outstanding. They are always thoughtful & helpful. For the last 6+ months the country has been in a pandemic with long term care facilities among the most susceptible to getting COVID-19. This facility managed that challenging, difficult situation so well that no resident has tested positive & we’ve recently been tested twice. Additionally, at the same time, the management & staff here faced yet another challenging situation. this location in PDX has been under a hazardous air quality for the last week or so because of the worst forest fires Oregon has ever experienced. All of this has changed the way we live day to day & staff adjusted extremely well to ever-changing rules and expectations. In spite of all of this, the Executive Director, Scott Delorenzo, has kept all the residents well informed so we were aware of what to expect in this ever-changing, unique environment.Joanne Loscalzo

Nadia and Jeanette are great med techs, they always have a smile and are efficient. Ellie does a fantastic job at setting up activities, I especially loved her morning work outs to keep me fit. Bingo was also one of my favorites. Richelle is a wonderful person she is always cheerful and nice. Susan, the DSD does a wonderful job getting all our meals out if it wasn't for her we would all starve to death! Kiki is the receptionist and she's always helpful to everyone, she made sure I got rides to and from my doctors appointments. Nico helped me quite a bit and I very much appreciate him. Demi hasn't been here long but she is doing a great job! There are many people who helped me along the way, I cant remember all the names but they know who they are. In my six months here everyone helped me in some way, I'm sad to be leaving but excited to go home! All in all I will miss you and I love you all. This was the best decision I ever made. I won’t lie, cost is steep, and it’s hard to work throughout parts of the program. However, if you’re considering going into the medical field, respiratory therapy specifically, this program is top notch. The director and instructors are amazing and if you put in the work and show up, they will be there for you every step of the way. It’s not an easy program, but it’s not impossible and the staff truly wants you to succeed. It takes hard work, dedication, and always being willing to learn; but it is so worth it in the end. I can’t speak for any of the other career fields, but the RT program is by far the best in the area. AND they do everything they can to help place you in jobs BEFORE you even graduate. I just finished the DA program at Concorde and it was an amazing experience. My Instructor Alyssa was awesome and truly helped me learn so much. She is such a welcoming and loving teacher who truly wants to see her students do their best. The program director Lindsay is wonderful as well and is always able to help whenever I have a question or even if I just need advice. You can always tell when Lindsay is around because she brings happiness and energy wherever she goes. She is such a hard worker who loves what she does and cares for each student so much. Steven is also an amazing person to talk to on campus. He goes above and beyond for his students and is always a friendly face to see on campus. I received amazing customer service from the college. They had the answer to every single question I could possibly have. I was greeted in a timely fashion. I went through all steps of admissions and sign up. Their campus is fun and interesting with a great crowd of people. I am wholeheartedly excited to get to participate in education with this Health and Human Services college. Covid had been difficult on everybody and during those times it really weighed in on our professional service establishments. I just completed my CNA2 certification class with Linda Schneider at TLC Education (aka Holgate Center). The nursing teacher was Ginna Vickory. Both Linda and Ginna were phenomenal at what they do. I learned so much and had a great time doing my clinicals at Providence Portland. Both Linda and Ginna were very informative and patient when it came to teaching the class and they both were genuinely concerned in helping further our careers in healthcare. I attended nursing classes hosted by TLC when Linda Schneider was running the Portland Community College CNA program. Linda's CNA programs are well structured and set students up to pass state exams for CNA licensure. Lots of my classmates have become RNs or gone on to work in valuable healthcare roles. This is a great way to begin a career path into healthcare. I would recommend this program as it is affordable and facilitated by working nurses on the Holgate campus with active SNF, ICF and RCF patients. Good luck! Absolutely loved my time at UP. I looked at a LOT of different schools in the NW, but chose this one. The campus is beautiful, especially in the Spring. The teachers are excellent. The class sizes are small. The courses are challenging. Fellow students are intelligent and social. And the soccer games are a blast to watch. When I think back on my time here, there is very little that I remember as negative. If you're non-religious, like me, then the Catholic element of the school can feel a bit restricting at times, but I felt it allowed me to explore spirituality in a way that a non-religious school could not have done. Since I've left, it sounds like things have only gotten better. They have remodeled the Engineering building (where I spent 90% of my time, senior year), as well as the cafeteria. I'm actually back for my MBA at UP now and I am reminded again why I love this school.Brady Prigg

UP is a great school academically. We have some of the best professors in the country and the classes are really great. Unfortunately there are several things that make me wish I hadn't chosen UP as my college: First, it is stiflingly catholic. Now I've gone to catholic schools since pre-school and never have I felt Catholicism forced upon me the way I do here. Next, residence life at UP is the most awful thing I have ever scene. They are ridiculously strict and like to think of themselves as your parents away from home. There are tons of rule, curfews, hall meetings, etc. A word to the wise, stay far away from Mehling especially (villa and Shipstad are the way to go). Finally, there is no social scene at UP. I wanted a small school but I realized this is too small and the school rules are too intense. Overall, I wouldn't recommend UP to anyone.Emily Strand

I really enjoyed my experience here and in the city of Portland. The small class sizes were a great fit for me and the professors, by and large, were incredible and supportive and worked hard to maintain a high level of academic rigor to help me hone my critical thinking skills. Additionally, the size of the campus is excellent for getting around on foot and there is a really nice view of the river from the edge of campus. This is also an exciting time for the school because they have recently renovated the library and have also just completed the new student center.Sal Liotta

I wonder if most of the reviews on this site are written by the L&C marketing team, as the marketing team did tend to oversell the school when we were making our college selection. The care and support that the school talks about, as well as one reviewer here described, is simply not there. We were told that Freshmen would be ushered into campus life by upperclassmen. That never happened. Academic counselors don't appear to consider the individual circumstances of students .For instance, L&C does NOT have a first year chemistry class (101), but requires Freshmen that are interested in a science major to take Chem 155 in their first semester . How could a counselor advise first year college students that never had chemistry in high school to take this class? Wouldn't it have been better to advise them to take 101 at home over the summer before fall semester? Or even better, why doesn't L&C offer a chem 101 class? Several students were teaching themselves the fundamentals of chemistry from the Internet, just to understand the terms being used in class. Many freshmen in this position had panic attacks and others just gave up, leaving a hole in their schedules. Campus events are not properly advertised. The college says that they have a Web portal where students can get all the info they need. Unfortunately, it isn't kept up regularly and there doesn't appear to be other means of getting information—like maybe notices in the dorms or from the RA. If Freshmen want to learn about Portland, they do it on their own. You'd think that the college would promote cultural events in town a little more. There are some really good teachers at L&C, as well as some not-so-good. Some are approachable and helpful, while others don't take time to listen and seem to have the same pat answers for everyone. Some of the programs seem to be designed so that it would be difficult for students to transfer out, requiring courses that other leading college don't require. Even still, at least six Freshmen I know are transferring out after the first year. It is ridiculously difficult for students or parents to reach the administrative staff—calls from parents go to voice mails and seldom if ever get returned, and emails seem to go into cyberspace for an indeterminate period of time. From my experience, the majority of the student body appear to be stoners, and if you don't smoke or drink you're either left out, or you learn to smoke and drink just to NOT feel like an outcast. There isn't much school spirit or leadership. If you are even slightly reserved and not the gregarious type, Lewis and Clark can offer a cold, lonely and dreary experience. Ten years after graduation and I can honestly say I still use the writing and analytical skills I honed at Lewis & Clark every day in my work. Nothing has benefited me as much, professionally or personally, as my undergraduate degree from L&C, and I transferred in from another well-ranked peer liberal arts school. For parents and students anxious about the post-graduation debt and job hunting, I can assure you — I have no trouble paying my undergraduate loans and my degree in history has not hindered my career in IT/web development, where my strong writing and communication skills are a rare and desperately needed commodity. L&C alumni have strong relationships with and recommendations from our professors that serve us in our post-collegiate endeavors, whether those are toward a graduate degree or job-oriented opportunities.My class peers are doctors, attorneys, running non-profits and small businesses of their own, artists, published writers, and consultants, and they are almost uniformly professionally and personally successful. Lewis & Clark provides a once in a lifetime experience that is decidedly worth the cost.Diana Wiener

I am reviewing for EVENT SPACE ONLY. A truly unique event site only 10 minutes from downtown: European styled gardens, stone structures, many many photo opportunities for weddings. Only drawback is, as it is 100% outdoors (except for restrooms and classrooms used as green rooms/dressing rooms), quite a bit of infrastructure is needed to be brought in for a successful event. But if budget is not an issue, this is a jewel of an event site and with good planning, and makes for an unforgettable event experience.Emee Pumarega

I am extremely disappointed in WP and the current staff. Our country is in a global pandemic and I have major health issues that the staff has been aware of since I started attending. I have one credit to go to complete my BA and after paying over 60k in tuition/books I had a balance of $1700 that came from me failing a class because I was hospitalized from my disease. I stayed in contact with the school and instead of them trying to help me find a way to take care of this situation they turned me over to a collection agency.!!!! Now mind you this is supposedly a “Christian” school. No WWJD at that school!!! I understand it is a business as well as a school but under the current circumstances our nation is in AND my serious health issues I would have thought they could have found a different solution. When I started there (I did both AA and BA there) the staff was amazing and I was happy I had followed my sisters path to attend there. Sadly the prices kept going up and the turn over in staff has been staggering with most of the newer generation really not caring. I did work with a few amazing people there but they all left and it was for a reason. So disappointed and disgusted that they call themselves a Christian University and treat their students this way during a pandemic. This is not a liberal arts school by any means, and if they’re still advertising it as such, don’t believe it. It's a great school, with a lot of amazing instructors. That being said, since COVID, it's been a little rough. I'm currently trying to complete my AAS in Computer Systems and Information, but it appears there are less classes available after the pandemic. I'm trying to get my full grants, but I can't because I don't have enough CIS classes available for my required credits. It's been a year since I went to school (after a smooth year attending class full time), and after attempting to get full time every term in that year, I've had no luck. Chemeketa Community College had an ASL "teacher" named Bobbi Bowman who was highly unprofessional. In class she repeatedly made critical comments about "all hearing parents of deaf children" (some of which were in her class trying to learn or improve their ASL) I hope they got rid of her because her bad attitude and ignorance wasn't helping these parents or their deaf children.Just the facts

They fish and bait their students for the Nursing Program. They promise you that you will have every oppurtunity to apply and yet a year and a half later of paying they have new requirments that require job experience and a certificate that will be useless in a Nursing Degree just to be able to apply. I would not recommend this college with their shady tactics to anyone.James Julian

I really enjoy the online aspect because it gives me time to do things I want in my day and then dedicate time to school when it works best for me. As this is an accelerated program, about 7 hours of my everyday time is dedicated to my education. The labs help to learn our skills and getting a chance to see instructors and speak with them about material is very helpful. The program is expensive, but it is comparable with all other nursing programs in the Portland Metro Area where you can earn a BSN. I appreciate the accelerated aspect because in 16 months you will have your Bachelors degree in nursing, pass the NCLEX, and become an RN. Their pass rate for the NCLEX is 100%! It is slightly unorganized but they try their best to prepare you for this and stress the importance of being flexible. I know they are supporting me in my academics and nursing school journey and are always more than willing to help and provide any resources you may need. If you are a go-getter and self motivated student who can keep up with a fast-paced, self-taught program then this could be a great fit for you!Cali Cunningham

I'm so disappointed with this college. My experience with student services and some of the advisors has been terrible. I've sent my transcript multiple times, yet no one has any information about me. I keep going in circles and no one seems to know what they are talking about. How can I trust an institution that can't complete simple tasks and keep track of important student documents? I'm also wasting time and money taking classes that I should be able to test out of but haven't been able to because they don't have testing available due to COVID. The rest of the world is adapting so I'm not sure why this college can't get with the program. Seems like a good way to get more money out of students. Also, I believe because this is my second degree, I don't get priority registration for classes. I can't get into the ones I need. It's extremely frustrating. Overall I wish I would have applied to a different community college. The plus side to this place is the instructors. I've been impressed with the passion that they display. It's endearing. This review is not for my experience at PCC, which for the most part has been quite good. I've liked my professors, and have learned a lot over the last year. This review is for a recent experience I had with an advisor. I reached out to advising to discuss dropping out for the winter term because I contracted covid and homework was not something I could even fathom doing, and this was before my symptoms got as bad as they are currently. The advisor I spoke with, Leopold Hauser, made a great effort to tell me about how he was sick with covid and it just wasn't that bad blah blah blah blah. Basically giving me a huge middle finger in the face of what is now the sickest I've been in years. The fact that this man is advising people when he contains such little empathy is beyond me. If everyone at this school acted like Mr Hauser then this place would be out of business.Alex Weeks

So based on the recent reviews, I'm not the only one who has issues with the advisors. The lady I spoke to on the phone was rude. It didn't seem like she wanted to work or answer my questions. She told me it takes 4-8 weeks to get credit for my degree since I'm only doing a certificate while the course starts next week. So what is the point ?! If the advisor is my first look at the college, then pcc isn't for me. Train your advisor staff on customer service ! And maybe your prospective students won't be going elsewhere.andrea lee

My mom spent the last one and a half months at Prestege nursing Reedwood before her passing recently. I would like to express my gratitude to all the staff for their great loving care for my mom. Here is what I observe in honest eyes. 1) This is a highly disciplined organization. From the administrator Andrew to social service director Hana, to the doctors, all nurses, and aides, they provide utmost caring service. My brother wanted to thank the aides at one point and tried to give a tip but got rejected politely. I offered my donation to the nursing home after my mom’s passing in appreciation of their help and again declined. 2)Clean. The first impression I had when I visited the nursing home, there was no smell. While my mom was there, each time when I visited, it was always clean. My mom got bathed every day by the aides. 3) Well organized and communication. If any incident like my mom felt down or blood pressure was getting higher, they called me and let me know right away. The nurses communicate efficiently to doctors if any issues arise, and the doctor responds and treats patients quickly. Hana did amazing job arrange all transportation between the clinic visits and many more stuffs. 4) Appropriated activities. Every day, there are routine activities for residents to participate. 3x a day. This is a not a dead place. It is a final and lively home for my mom, even it was short. Mom had a great time there. She was well taken care of. 5)Balance nutrition. They even brought warm milk my mom liked each meal. Such little things show attention to detail. 6) Great medical care from doctors, practitioners, nurses and aides. 7) Loving tender care! Every staff treats residents with warmth and great care. They never get annoyed or irritated. It shows great integrity and professionalism. Words cannot express my gratitude to all staff in the nursing home. Thank you all. After a basic procedure went very wrong in January, my husband landed at Prestige Reedwood for the final stages of his rehab and recovery. Challenges of COVID and his need for dialysis 3x per week made finding an acute rehab difficult. Prestige welcomed us with open arms. From the director of the facility, to the facility doctor, to the nurses and CNA's, to the PT and OT team, to the wound care folks, to the food service staff and the cleaning crew – all were amazing. Special shout out to Hana, the social worker. Through our 5 month journey that included four other facilities – hands down, Hana was the best social worker we encountered. She provided resources, set appointments for us – she did it all. Not only did they care for my husband, but they checked in on me. When things were crazy with other care providers and insurance – this team stood up for us! I have no doubt that my husband progressed as well as he did, because of this amazing team. We were always treated with care and respect. I saw every day how much the staff cared for all of the residents. From the bottom of our hearts – THANK YOU!Danette Dickerman

I spent two weeks here recovering from a broken pelvis. The care was mostly very good. The staff friendly and capable and helpful and responsible. Even the food was mostly very good. The care was mostly satisfactory. However I have two gripes. The first concerns the "rehabilitation" care, the second a medication concern. I was in with broken bones, not loss of mental facilities. The "Rehab" they gave consisted of things like tossing a balloon around, throwing beanbags at a target and things of that nature. Wonderful and helpful to someone suffering Alzheimer's or similar condition. But I broke bones. After checking myself out I received physical and occupational therapy from the VA that consisted of strength building, mobility and related. In other words care more suited to my condition. The second involved the physician on staff. There is a medication I chose not to take (powerful stool softener). In spite of telling the physician and the nursing staff that I didn't want that they kept giving it to me.Patty M

I met with Heather Smith who cancelled our first meeting and that happen to pushed me out of the application deadline I will have to wait 6 months for the next round. She gave me the incorrect information on which room to meet her in and let me disrupt an entire class and instructor before pulling me out. She explained she knew she gave me wrong info. But never called and just let me go there anyway. After meeting with Heather for a short time she got up and advised me she would be right back. She returned with a advising business card and told me to get a job. Heather, with her middle finger, advised my family coach at DHS has no idea about PCC climb program and not to look there for resources. She didn't offer any information on adding credentials to become hirable or really any info on the program. I have never been left feeling so discouraged.Kari Culver

PCC Climb is the most unprofessional organization I have had the misfortune to encounter. Do not take a BLS or ACLS class at this institute. They pass people for any reason in the BLS program. Good luck getting into your ACLS class! When you arrive at climb there will be requirements that you were not told about during the registration process. I even called the night before to be sure. I was never told about the pretest. The check in clerk will insinuate that you are a liar and never called climb because you don't know the name of the person with whom you spoke. Thankfully there are other options for obtaining medical CME in this town. I will make sure everyone I come in contact with in medicine understands what this organization is like. Worst place to drop your application. They're so bad . Only thing they do is talk with each other waste the pcc student's time because of that I am leaving PCC and going to MT Hood at least they take care of there student's when they need help.Raja Lal

I've been with this teaching institution for 22 years and most of my doctors are located here. Individually, some departments are better than others in terms of customer service. They tend to be a lot less selective about the people they're hiring now due to the fact that so many people are resistant to returning to the workforce in person and demanding to work from home with higher pay. They've hired a lot of really young schedulers who lack customer service skill, or compassion and patience for older or unwell patients. This can make it difficult or frustrating to even get scheduled and I have often experienced hang ups or disconnects in the process. In my experience it can take weeks to get a return call from some departments such as the sleep clinic. As a result of lowered customer care standards, you may get some arrogance or rudeness when trying to schedule with certain departments. In addition, the level of care has gone down and it takes months to be seen by departments such as Cardiology and the Sleep Disorders clinic. Another change is the fact that if you need to see a specialist such as an actual Cardiologist, you will see a physicians assistant first followed up with an extremely short 3 to 5 minutes maximum with the actual Cardiologist.. which will take you 3 to 6 months to get into, depending on who you see. Staffing is an issue here and has been steadily declining for quite some time even though we have been on the tail end of COVID now for quite a while. It seems that covid has become a convenient excuse for continuing to remain short staffed and it doesn't appear to be improving. The ER is frequently diverting patients to other area hospitals so if all your physicians are at OHSU and you need emergency care, good luck. You have a good chance of being diverted to Good Samaritan, Providence or Legacy Emmanuel in NE Portland, among others, due to continued short staffing in the Emergency Department…and most other departments as well. The last few times I've had to be in for cardiac issues, patients on gurneys often line the hallway with little to no privacy while waiting for a room to open up. Consequently, the level of customer service and care has really gone down and it doesn't look like it will be improving anytime soon. Having said all that, their OHSU Richmond clinic out on SE 39th and Division does a fine job serving clinic patients. So if you are looking for a general physician you can try that OHSU affiliated clinic and you should receive quality customer care and service with a plethora of physicians to choose from and they also have an internal pharmacy at this location.SUN LIGHT 333

Apparently the spleen expert is in this hospital or was here at ohsu years ago when I was hospitalized with a grade 1 ruptured spleen. They did tests and tests and "ruled out" physical trauma. And they asked me if I wanted to remove it!!??? Even though they couldn't prove what caused it. I did have trauma to my abdomen 3 weeks prior but they wouldn't take that into consideration. Here I am 7 years later and never had any issues again. And imagine having removed my spleen and risking every infection and disease (hello covid) for the rest of my life if I had said yes. This isn't a jab at this particular hospital because I loved the nurses in the ICU Because all of the medical community is a joke, they're not 100% certain on everything, but yet risk your life even though many more risks may come of it. By the way. They wasted so much time suspecting I was being physically abused by my fiance that I feel they didn't try to move past that and look for more answers. And that (physical abuse) has never happened to me in a relationship and especially not with my now husband. And I was hit in the abdomen and my nephew's birthday party when we were all playing ball. I don't even think my husband was there that day. ✌️Mady

Where to even begin…. The ortho 9 unit nurses were amazing in caring for my loved one. One Nurse on that unit overstepped boundaries but shout out to Hector! The rest of the "teams" are a complete joke. They don't have any concerns and truly mean the best for you as you are just a paycheck that is how it felt. The worst care from a hospital that I was under the impression that this hospital is supposed to be the best. Make sure that you don't attend here and if someone you know is then I wouldn't leave them unattended.Coach S
