My Business Administration Management class was amazing, I learned so much and I am carrying it with everywhere I go. Some people do not like it and so do. My instructor was so brilliant and I am so proud and thankful for him. With his support and all of SJVC workers, instructors, and all around everyone, I was able to get threw this pandemic we are still having and graduate with a 4.0 and being on the deans list. I am thankful for you all. Anyone who wants to go to college for Business or just in general, go to SJVC. They got you covered and they support your every step and decision. They help you become ready for excellency and, help you find a job that you will love and if that job doesn't work out for you they will go over and above to help you succeed and find a position you want and love. I'm in the midst of the program and just love it!! The teachers and staff are fantastic and it feels like they have become my extended family. They care and want you to succeed. They offer many resources to help if you hit a road block. It's a very professional environment and they continue to train you on maintaining professionalism. Great school for a community college. I heard it’s the best around. Many students come from San Diego or from the North just to go here. They do a lot of things by hand (compared to other schools that do things electronically). The grounds are well kept. The parking is horrible during the beginning of the semester. More parking will be available as time comes. When you register for a class, you need to pay the same day or you get dropped. If you’ve dropped a lot of classes, the school might give you a hold because the classes are impacted. There is a daycare center. Parking permits and books are relatively cheaper than most.Aurora A

Good School. The campus is breath taking. Views of the ocean in the dining hall and surrounding areas. Tons of plants and trees all around, a great variety. Staff are helpful. Parking is a struggle, unless you don't mind parking in dirt lots but then it's not worth buying a parking permit. As for professors and academia, they could improve. Check professors ratings onlines some teach to only one or two learning styles. The classes are pretty easy. Maybe to easy.Michael

I am currently in the vet tech program( just finished term 1 and starting term 2) here are a few things I wish I knew about the program before I started. UPDATE!!! STRONGLY suggest getting your generals done else where!!! Almost done with term 2 and Looking back, the program would be soo much easier if you were just taking the vet core classes. Seriously.. if you are really thinking about going here fresh out of high school and think you are going to be fine with the work load you are in for a rude awakening.. just please take my advice and get your generals done somewhere else. You will actually enjoy your time here if you are just taking the vet core classes because the vet related classes and the generals work load at the same time is extremely stressful because again you will be taking roughly 20 credit hours( that’s general classes and vet core classes) AND the material is very rushed. -curriculum is extremely rushed -instructors are a hit or miss (3/5 instructors were really great and knew what they were talking about and we’re able to explain really well, other 2 did not know the material and did not know how to effectively teach/explain/ or answers any questions about the material they were teaching. Pretty much had to self teach in both classes) -the parking situation is a hot mess. Parking on campus is extremely limited and the street parking is a joke. -The remediation assignments (Student services assigns you an extra assignment on top of your homework in whatever class for being 15+ minutes late or missing the class or leaving 15+ minutes early ie. Handwritten 100 bullet points on the slides of the power point you missed. The instructor then has to sign off on it and you turn it into student services no later than 1 week of the absence/tardy) is extremely unnecessary and just adds more stress. -But all in all still a better program than any of the other schools I was looking into before I started the program. I’m still loving what I am learning about and the hands on labs are amazing. My classmates and I are extremely close and working together and helping each other study is a must to succeed in every class. If you do find yourself struggling there are so many resources the school provides to help you ie. free tutoring from a peer tutor, tutoring from your instructors per request via emailing them. Scheduling an appointment with the Student success coordinator (helps you plan your study schedule and helps with testing stragies). Just know this is a tough program because it’s rushed and you WILL be taking anywhere from 12-20 credits hours. ( this is decided based on if you have transfer credits from other colleges ie. math 1010, Biology1010, college writing, etc. I was taking 20 credit hours. I did not choose this, your schedule will be chosen for you by the school) and you will be eating, living and breathing veterinary medicine for the next 2 years. ( also I want to add that it is STRONGLY recommended that you DONT have a job. At least in 1st term. In orientation they go more in-depth about this. A lot of my classmates including myself quit our full/ part time jobs after 1 month in the program because it was too much) If this is something you think you can handle then it is definitely worth it!Kaitlyn Hart

This school has all the technology you could ever want, and provides a lot of support. I wish I could have afforded to go there. That’s the only downside, is the really high price. I should add, the price is high for a reason. They buy top of the line technology to teach their nurses and vet techs (those are the only things I’ve seen myself, and I am 100% sure they put the money into their other programs, too.) My current financial situation makes the school unaffordable, but the price is 100% worth it. I was going to make myself afford it until I was told about a deposit. I WAS shocked by the $400+ deposit they required during orientation (for the LVN program.) I wasn’t told about it except less than a week before orientation. There was really no iltime for me to prepare. My financial aid advisor, Vanessa, was AMAZING and tried everything to make the school more affordable. My academic advisor, Nikia, was the BEST. She really helped to make me feel comfortable and helped teach me more about the program.Jessica Laroche

The program I was in (vet tech) was great for the most part! However there was a lot of bumps in the 2 years and disorganization when I was there. Teachers were a hit or miss you could get a great one and would love that class, or you would get one you dreaded and never wanted to go to class. Being the first class to graduate from that program we didn't get all the amazing equipment that the students have now. This program over all is a great experience because when you are struggling or need help you can find teachers always doing tutor sessions or the LRC always is willing to help you learn things as well. they are doing the best they can to make sure things run smoothly from now on. I would recommend this course now because it seems like things will run smoother now that they learned from passed mistakes with my class.Allison Kunic

If you are a Veteran and want to attend this school I recommend you don't. I personally have had multiple issues with communication with the school as well as obtaining an appointment with their one VA counselor. My appointment was made a month and a half out mainly because that specific date was the only day that would work for me. I was suppose to walk in at 4 pm to see the counselor. Mind you I called earlier that day to confirm my appointment, even received an email notification confirming my appointment. They told me they accidentally double booked, but to come in anyways and they will just squeeze me in. Came in at 350 PM checked in the front desk looked confused, I explained the situation and I didn't get seen until 5:45 PM I had a final for speech class at 6 PM. If you decide to take online classes be careful you could end up like me log in and check the course the first day of the semester in this case July 19th 2017 at 8:55 AM and see that there are no notifications or assignments post yet. Log in that Friday still having issues to find out you got dropped that Wednesday for not being active in the course. I logged in that Monday to do the Class work knowing that my other class kept me busy tues, wed, thurs. All just to find out that your email was jacked because of the conversion they did in spring, therefore getting locked from your account. I do not recommend this school or the school district it has only been a constant uphill battle for me and to many stressful occurrences. Attend a Cal State or Cal University.Cody

I have been trying to see a counselor, and so far I have come to the counseling department more than five times. Anytime I went there, they said that there are a lot of students so go come back tomorrow at 8:00 am. When I went there at 8:00 am the next day, they said oh we don't do walk ins, you can go today, but for tomorrow give us a call to confirm if there is any counselor available. I did call them the day before coming they said yes come around 8:00 am you will for sure see a counselor, I got there at 8:00 am, but unfortunately again they said that there are a lot of students and they only have one counselor. I don't know what game do they play with students, I missed going to work for 3 days, and it seems that I might not be able to take any classes this summer just because of not being able to see a counselor. I request the authorities of this nice college to pay attention to this problem, and find some possible ways of solution since the students need to have updated Educationan Plans.Tawfiq Sediqi

This college is a freaking mess and very unorganized!!!! Fist visit, they told me counseling was open until 4:30pm. Got there at 3:34pm and said they stop at 3pm. They told me to come back tomorrow and they will do counseling till 4pm. I got early from work the nex day, and when I get to the counseling office, they said they are not doing counseling today! They tell me to come back tomorrow. They couldn't take appointments because they were too busy that week. I come back the next day, my job let me get off early again, when I get to the counseling they tell me their system is down! They tell me to come back on Saturday for the event. They tell me counseling and student services will be open. I'm here at the counseling at 10am, they freaking tell me no counselors today, they are only taking picture for IDS !!!! This is the worse experience I had. Very unprofessional, not organized!!!! I'm very upset!!!!!Miriam Gal

As a young man going to college for the for the first time, this was a great experience for me. I thought I would hate college, since I hated going to school my entire life, but wow this college is awesome. The school is really small. You will learn how to get around with ease. The campus is also on a hill, and surrounded by lovely nature, trees and animals of All sorts. Which I personally love. The tutoring system is amazing and I’m completely satisfied. I really abuse the math and English tutors everyday! The library is beautiful (my favorite place). The food though could use improvements though, but that’s about it. 99% of people are very friendly so it’s a great environment for me personally. I never thought I would love going to school until now thank god wow! I will never transfer to another college I love this place and I can wait to start school again. Rio Hondo has evolved so much since i first started taking classes in 2006. One of the things that hasn't changed is the attention and support that the staff give the students. Many new buildings like the library have been reconstructed and updated to accommodate the return of all the students back to campus after enduring the pandemic. Alos a good place to hike. you can take the far side entrance by the police academy and continue on up the side road all the way to the top. its pretty challenging but the views are great. Im currently taking a ceramics class, and its quite enjoyable and you get to take home all your completed work.Andrew Ramirez

Best Community College I have been to, they have a lot to offer. Their programs help to guide students into their specific major. The career counseling helped me realize which career I want to be in. Also I found the math lab very useful and they even offer it Saturday mornings. They have the best staff who are very knowledgeable and caring and listen to you and offer the best advice to achieve your individual goals. I've been a student (intermittently) here since 2010. As someone that loves learning and the overall "school" atmosphere, I feel extremely fortunate that I get to be a student at Palomar College; "lucked out", I would say. The teachers are magnificent and have the potential to change your life forever (I know a few that have for me already*). You can get help with enrollment fees with through the BOG Waiver – all my classes end up being free because of it. Parking permits 1/2 off also. The school is modern and always improving. Their buildings are stylish and unlike anything I've seen anywhere else. Each is unique, yet somehow they all come together to form a beautiful campus. I truly look at this campus like a second home. I love going here. (Parking can suck, that's a big reason why I try to only stick to night classes 🤓) ➡️ HOWEVER! They now have a brand new parking GARAGE! I haven't used it yet, as I am only doing evening classes, but I can only imagine how much it helps everyone be able to find parking! It is nice to know that they actually do care about the problems we face throughout college life & do what they can to help make it as comfortable & as enjoyable as possible! UPDATE (3/19/18)!! I started using the parking garage and it is AWESOME!!! Security cameras coming soon! This school keeps on getting better and better!! 'Safety' is also another big thing here that they take seriously. They make sure to inform us students on a regular (& when, if necessary) basis all the details regarding our options when it comes to being and staying safe throughout our education at Palomar. They have their own (actual/legit) police force that is on duty 24/7 & a direct emergency line to call any hour day or night. They provide free escorts to anyone needing or just wanting a little extra piece of mind walking to their car or anywhere around campus. Every class locks from the inside by a button next to the teacher's phone that keeps anyone from getting in in case of an active shooter or anything else putting students at harm, & when they lock, it sends a signal to the Palomar Police with the location of the room, etc. etc. I could go on but you get it, they care & work hard to keep us safe! 🤗 * AJ Professor Jack Hook, AJ Professor Leeyann Chapman, COMM Professor Wendy Nelson & LS Professor Lisa Burns; just to name a few! 😉Courtney Grimshaw

*updated October, 2022* I wish I could warn everyone not to go here. The counselors are almost impossible to get an appointment with, and they make you do some of your own counseling work instead of them helping when it's their job. I had to plan out all my own classes…no one helped me. I also had to figure out which schools accept my AA from palomar because again, the counselors won't help you figure that out. If you have no idea how to do college forms and transcripts, where to start or where to go, DO NOT GO HERE. You will be your own student, teacher, and counselor. *old review below* Now to explain the two stars…as a student here, so far it has been okay. It is pretty hard to make friends on campus and I don't feel like I'm getting enough help from the financial section. I have also asked for help from the counseling department and they told me "you have had too many appointments and we need to save full hour appointments for students who haven't had any." Ummm….okay I understand everyone needs an appointment but to turn away students asking for help? Wow…as I write this review I knocked off stars. The teachers here have been great in my experience; so far I have only had two horrible teachers, Scott Klinger in the photo department and another male teacher who was my math teacher years ago.Alexandra

Keep in mind that you get what you pay for with everything in life. There's a reason it's so inexpensive. On top of that they force their political bias on students in most of their classes. Over my time at Palomar there's been a great deal of times students have to tell teachers what they want to hear for a grade as opposed to what they really believe. This should not be the case and students should have the right to think or believe whatever they want. Also the website where you register for classes is always having different problrms or not working for one reason or another. Also at times it is impossible to contact anyone from the school over the phone. More often then not you have to call 3 or 4 times before anyone is able to get to the phone. There are some genuinely good people and good professors at Palomar. But overall it has not been a good experience for me.Camden Tarico

HOT Mess. Vaccination Mandate rescinded. Jeopardizing everyone's health in hopes that more students will attend. Butchering of Food Security Program to make it unusable and pointless. Campus construction underway. ZERO signage. There are NO services available after 5. You can't even access the cafeteria area. If you're taking an evening class I hope you bought your own food, that doesn't need reheating or you can afford to buy something off site. Day 1 Air conditioning failures. Water fountains dysfunctional already. SMC is not at all ready to have students back on campus. And SMC does NOT care. Or rather SMC CARES… ALL ABOUT PROFITS. The campus here at SMC has gone quite the transformation in the past few years. The Science building and the Welcome center are completely new and look great. The only problem with the campus is the parking and lane infrastructure needs an upgrade. The lines of cars around campus affect the local community in a negative way. As a local resident, I think the campus should invest in buying more parking and perhaps adding turning lanes. Ubers used to block Pico for blocks but they fixed that. The campus is beautiful and even boasts a fourth of July fireworks show in the summers!! I just wish they would invest in the local traffic and help us regular folks out.Madie Parbaz

I am a homeless student. I have had many issues getting my financial aid money. Since the semester started I wake up on the street in tears. I feel very defeated with this process. They withhold aid for weeks on end after classes have already started. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL! They recently had an audit and I gave all bad reviews mainly because of financial aid. I’m exhausted, not motivated to engage in my full time course load. This is why some people make bad decisions in life. A system that does NOT have my best interest as a priority. The school is great if you are a nurse. Don’t get me wrong I have nurses in my family and love them dearly. However if you are going for any other programs but nursing just know that you might be forgotten. The teachers in the program you select will do anything to help you get ahead and make sure you graduate. They will provide tools and even one on one sessions. Graduation was bitter sweet. I made and found my footing to do what I love. But everyone one else was forgotten. My family thought they were at the wrong graduation because all they talked about was the nursing. Not even a mention of any other program and those in that program working hard to be where they are today. I am currently attending the MBC program and I absolutely love it! My instructor has made going back to school very enjoyable and I truly look forward to class every time. She is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I feel that I will be ready to start my new career by the end of my time here at Carrington. I had a great experience with Kinsee, she was very helpful and giving me clear information on what to expect from the medical assisting program. I was shown around the building I was explained what every room was used for and where I could go to seek help for every situation I would need. Wether it be help to look for a job, break room, finance room and more. I was shown the ins and outs of the building, the classroom I would be in. I just started my first semester of school and I will update to keep my review true to the stars I give. I never finished college when I was supposed to, 20 years ago, so now I’m back! It was hard looking for schools that would take me and my grades. There aren’t too many nursing schools in the Vegas Valley but I talked to a lot of them. They told me I would have to retake my classes, and/or take more classes before they would even let me in. I figured it would be an extra 1-3 years before I even got into their programs and I didn’t know what to take first and in which order to take them. Everything was so confusing! So I am glad that AZ accepted me in (with my HS GPA). Bruce was amazing and he made things easy in bringing me into the college! Ask for him if you’re interested in applying here. It’s a fairly new college to the Las Vegas area. The staff seem to like each other, laugh with each other and enjoy what they do. I love that. Who wants to go to school and learn from staff that hate what they do. Although for the first part of Nursing School we are in actual class for 2 or 3 days a week, it is a FULL time course. In orientation I heard people saying that they were going to work full time. I also heard that by the time you get to the Core classes, there aren’t as many students left. AZ has a high expectation where you have to get at least a B average in certain classes to get into Core. So I don’t believe that trying to go to an accelerated course like this, although “2-3 days a week” and working will work, thus the reason why people don’t make it into Core. You’ve got to put in 100% of yourself in studies. Also there are 2 ways Colleges and University’s get accredited. They are either regionally accredited or nationally accredited. So do your research before choosing a college. I chose this school because I don’t plan to move anywhere in the next 3 years. I want to stay in this school and I don’t plan to transfer out. As for the finance part of it, my military benefit of Post 9/11 covers the entire 3 years. I also applied for FASFA and I’m receiving an amount from them. It makes it so much easier to just concentrate on school!Flordeliza Sia

Arizona College Of Nursing would be best described as a school that only cares about getting money from students. Alex Chang is an advisor who will probably only contact you when it’s good for him, which is probably 20% of the time. Catherine Chege seems like a chicken with her head cut off running around never knowing any correct information talking 1000 mph while giving you the incorrect information and not really caring about anything besides herself. This school has not only wasted my time but wasted my money, with endless lies and promises that at the last minute were taken away. Don’t think this is just a disgruntled student who couldn’t pass, I currently have a 4.0 I was promised to be able to start at a certain date and as the date approached, was told that I would have to wait a year to start my classes, like that was some gift from them to me. So condescending and disrespectful when I have been working myself to DEATH trying to get everything done so I could start core. As if anyone even cared. And to top that off I was told directly by Catherine that at least I only wasted a little bit of time. Yes a little bit of time, three semesters $3000 and taking classes only for this specific program. That sure sounds like just a little bit of time doesn’t it? My so-called advisor never even bothered to reach back out to me because well why would he if they weren’t going to get my money. I would advise before thinking about this school, honestly just teach yourself to be a nurse before You even ever apply— you would probably get much further. They are t worried about supporting nurses they just need to make sure you can afford that $717/ credit hr. Unless you want to waste your time money and mental health go anywhere else but here. I guess they thought ignoring me would make the situation go away but I’ll be letting everyone know EXACTLY how this school operates until I can’t find anymore review sites. If you don’t want to respond to me professionally, then I’ll just allow everyone to know the details of personally. Don’t bother contacting me now either, it’s too late. I have been at Arizona College for nearly a year now. My time that I have been here has been filled with many great memories and memorable experiences. Arizonas staff members and professors show their genuine role in leading a way for their students success and makes it known that they genuinely care for their students. Our leaders make or break a facility, and I'm grateful to have the ones we do at Arizona College of Nursing here in Las Vegas! Alex helped me begin my nursing journey. The SJVC-online BSRT program is very user friendly when it comes to ones computer skills. There are some minor glitches here and there when it comes to assignment communication. I am very happy with my decision in choosing SJVC to obtain my Bachelor’s degree. If you are a busy Respiratory Therapist do not hesitate and sign up asap don’t waste another year thinking you are too busy. This program is set up for busy Respiratory Therapist to thrive in. I was worried about doing straight online school, however the instructors and the adviser Ernie were and are amazing at what they do! The staff of this school is pretty good with communication, especially the Dean. Whenever i had a problem he was fast to solve the issue. The experience was great. I did have to find my own extern site, but my career advisor was really supportive and helpful. I wanted to attend the Nursing program but no one has responded so I will probably not do it here. Signed the Enrollment paperwork the first time and the start dates were wrong. By the time they sent me the enrollment paperwork to sign that had the right dates I had decided to not go to school there for various reasons, mostly because CCI doesn't work with any bank for student loans, they expect you to take out personal loans and lie to the banks about what you will use the money for (highly illegal). Told the school I would not be attending there and continue to get emailed almost every single night at midnight to sign my enrollment paperwork. I told the front desk staff 2 times that I would not be attending and to stop sending me emails and they continue to email me for weeks. Additionally 3 YEARS LATER they decided to send me to collections for $80 claiming I didn't pay the enrollment fee when I know I did because I paid it the exact same time as another student and they didn't send that student to collections. And since I didn't keep a paper recipient from 3 YEARS AGO then I have to pay through collections. Keep in mind CCI clearly had my email and phone number to contact me over a 3 year period to pay the enrollment fee, for the school I did not attend by the way, but instead of doing that they would rather send you to collections and hurt your credit score, over $80. Not once was in contacted about owing any money to the school. Let's just say I am so happy that I ended up not attending CCI, blessing in disguise.Danica Johnson

This is the most unorganized, unprofessional, unethical school I’ve experienced. They treat their students like elementary children, lie about funds, and demean you like you know absolutely nothing. I had a 4.0 the whole time I attended, yet there was a problem every single day whether it be with the unorganized clinical instructor who contradicted herself daily, or from student services, even the DON. All they want is your money they could care less about helping you through nursing school, or making sure you have what you need. As long as they’re paid, they don’t care. 95% of the staff are rude. My class didn’t start clinicals until mid level 2, when it was advertised and told to us that we would start WEEK SIX OF LEVEL 1. They try to blame it on covid, or the clinical sites, when in fact here just unorganized. Save yourself the headache and the money and go elsewhere like high desert medical college, AVC, even online school.Jennuh Leigh

I went to school here for Medical Assistant in 2016, enrolling was super easy and the staff were helpful with fafsa when I had no clue how that worked. I loved that it was a short fast 9 month program , and in class I definitely liked that the first 2 hours was book work & the other 2 hours we did all the hands on work! I had a great experience here having Ms. J as a teacher she made sure we did everything the right way & that we understood everything . But I do wish they held graduation at a different location other than outside at the school .Evelyn Nunez

yesterday 7/27/2020 I officially graduated from Concorde college (MA PROGRAM) and all I can say is if you’re looking for a school to help you learn about the medical field Concorde is it. They have great teachers willing to help you as much as possible. They have a great computer lab, always open to help! The school is very well kept and cleaned! Staff also does little events here and there just to show appreciation to the students which I loved. The staff here are AMAZING! 2 staff I would really like to shout out are ARIANA HERTZ & MONICA CARLOS! Both of these woman helped me so much and went out their way to make sure i was doing great at Concorde. Security GEORGE was also such a great staff, he always would help as much as he can. But overall all staff is great, super helpful and super friendly. I felt so welcomed at Concorde as soon as I got there! So glad I came to this school because not only did I get an education but I made some wonderful friends here too. I LOVE CONCORDE💙! This review is overdue. But I wanted to wait until I had been working in my field a couple of years to review. I graduated in 2019 with my LVN, and I was able to obtain my license in January 2020. I was well prepared. Passed my nclex on the first try. But I studied and I followed the direction the instructors and staff recommended to get there. Sometimes it felt like they were dragging us through the ringer, when it came to assignments, tests, clinical etc. But it was well worth it. I started my job confident in all of the basic LVN skills. Vital signs, GT, wound care, interpersonal relationships etc. This school taught me so much about myself. If you are considering a career change; or a jump start to your career. I highly recommend. But don’t go here thinking it will be easy. You WILL have to put in the work. Also another tip, communication is key. If you don’t let the school know what’s going on, they won’t be able to help you.Chynna Hooper

Garden Grove Concorde is what you expect out of a school. I love this campus. I enrolled here in 2006 for the Respiratory Therapist program and graduated in 2008. During the program, they provided all the resources i needed to get through all my courses such as tutoring, 1 on 1 help, and most importantly the most friendliest, attentive staff from the front the front desk all the way to the top. i would like to mention someone who has help through my toughest times, Lynda Carlos. When i was having trouble with my application process she would go out of her way to help me. She was like this with every student and every one of my class mates love her. I don't know where to begin. Being frustrated and feeling as though I am giving the runaround, trying to get my diploma and trying to get my official transcript from a school that never answers a phone call during business hours. I never had to rely on a voicemail message to get back in contact with me due to miss understanding of phones calls. I have set up a payment arrangement back in May 2021, and I was told that if I miss a payment out of six months I will have to start all over again. I have been making payments and unfortunately was told that I missed three payments but look at my account and I see they're taking money out of my account. But still won’t give me my diploma. The staff is very rude and have not sympathy or compassion about the students other are trying to make something out of themselves in life. Talking to the staff is like hopping and excepting. Staff that not willing to work with you to try to help me. I've been only help by Miss Sherry, which I was told no longer works there. She's been the only person helping me getting my diploma and trying to get everything situated. I feel frustrated disappointed disgusted and hurt that I can't even depend on the school that I thought would help me succeed in life. This is hurtful and I would not wishes upon no one else. I work so hard live alone have no family here and you're telling me that I can't get any of my transcripts or I can't get my diploma because you guys messed up on your end and you're making me suffer which is not right and unacceptable. As much as I talk about you guys school and the staff that helps me and for someone to sit there and make me feel as though it's my fault is unacceptable. Question would you want to recommend a school to someone? For me at this point I will say no because I see that they're not even trying to help at all but take my money and won't give me my diploma or my transcripts I need to speak to someone and the corporate office as a CEO or CFO that can help meMoquatin Washington

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Every campus that I have spoken to someone on the phone has been rude and dismissive and not willing to help… I attended the nursing program in 2016…completed one semester…and had to withdraw from the second (before it started) because My son was having health issues. They told me to come back whenever I wanted that they would gladly accept me back into the program where I left off… which was absolutely not true! When I tried to go back….i was told I could be accepted into the current semester…Which would have been fine except….they were changing the curriculum the following semester…Which if I would have gone back would have forced me to start all over again…. Also, When I asked If I would be able to have a financial credit for the first semester that I completed because they changed the curriculum, I was told to speak with the head of the nursing dept and then she told me that was a question for financial aid who then referred me back to the nursing dept head…and they both said that they couldn’t help me. Don’t waste your time nor effort here. $24,000 down the drain for absolutely nothing! And not only that, But when you try to have your transcripts sent, it takes forever to actually get a hold of someone…and with the rude staff on the phone at every single campus it’s ridiculous!Melissa Kloess

I’m so happy I came across the Arizona College of Allied Health on google. I requested to receive more information about the college and not even a few days later I get a text from Justin. Justin was very nice and gave me so much information that helped me decide this was the college for me. Before I came here I was at Community Colleges for the last 5 years completing only prerequisites not even in a program yet. When Justin told me I would graduate next year in July getting my DA diploma I was beyond excited. I can’t thank Justin enough for all his help. I just got done with my first track passing all my classes. I could have not done it without Ms. Vosteen. She is the best teacher I’ve ever had at all the schools I’ve been to. I am going to miss being in her classes but I am so excited to continue my journey. The school had NO placement for me to complete my extership. I was threatened to get dropped off the program if I didn’t find my own extership. During enrollment I was promised a place to complete my extership. To prevent being dropped off the program, I had to agree to do my internship at Jacob’s House. At Jacob’s house I had NO opportunity to do any office work but instead do housekeeping. This school is a scam!!!!!! My expectations were to be working at an office. To say my time at Allegiance Career Institute was beyond what I expected is an understatement. On your first day, the instructors will preface that they will over prepare you to take the state exam. As a naive new student in the course, I did not know what to expect. Mrs. Haydee has a unique, but effective teaching style that will not only prepare you, but instill the knowledge and wisdom you will learn in the class, to be applied into your daily practice as a nursing assistant and so on. I want to thank the entire staff at Atria Del Sol in Mission Viejo. We moved my father in a year and a half ago after an extremely difficult year. Atria was exactly what he needed! He made friends and enjoyed lots of TLC which was greatly appreciated. He recovered so well that after a year and half, he decided to move into his own apartment! I could have never imaged he would regain all independence! During the pandemic, they kept all the residents safe and did everything they could to stay positive. It was a very challenging time for all of us, especially the seniors. I could not have asked for a better team to keep my dad safe. They kept him occupied, eating healthy, and offered so many activities on site, even when they couldn't leave their rooms. Reika was also so sweet and positive with all the residents. Finally when my dad could has elective surgery, Joanna and her team did a great job making sure he healed properly and quickly. The front desk staff was amazing and Nina was one of my dad's favorites. There were so many wonderfully kind staff, I cannot name them all. If you are looking for a caring staff that give just the right level of care in a beautiful facility and grounds, I highly recommend Atria!Kristine Nelson

We made the decision to place my mom here 5 months ago since she was no longer able to be alone and take care of herself and we work full time. I went to numerous places and Atria, by far was the best. The people have been fantastic to me and to her and I never have to worry about her because I always know she is in excellent hands. I visit her frequently and the ladies that work there always dote on her and make her feel special. If I am worried about her and need her to be checked on they do it promptly and communicate with me. She has settled in really well with the community and she is now more involved in activities and outings and I couldn't be more pleased. Before her husband passed, she would just sit in the house day after day and never go anywhere. Well, that's not the case now! Thank you from the bottom of my heart all you folks at Atria! We were looking for a short term care facility for my husband in between hospital stay and home. We looked into several facilities and chose this one mainly because of Jennifer who was the sales representative. Jeremiah answered all of our questions and was very helpful the entire stay . The transportation was great to my husband‘s dialysis three times a week and doctors appointments . Perry, the driver, was extremely nice and professional . Physical therapy was great, five days a week with very professional technicians. My Husband was very confident with Judee, Nicole and Kristy. They worked him hard to get him ready to go home . Our at home physical therapist couldn’t believe how well he was doing.This was our first experience with anything like this so we were a little apprehensive at first. However, everything was clean. The staff is professional and very thoughtful and respectful. Every visit I was greeted with a smile when I walked in. The Receptionists were very thorough to make sure that temperatures were taken and masks were worn. Covid rules were very strict which I appreciated. Thanks to all of you!❤️Cindi Shively

Asia was very professional. She is an awesome teacher, very knowledgeable in CPR. Wonderful hands on training besides talking or video. I work at a hospital now, she taught me a part of CPR I didn't know. (Very good) She takes her time so you understand because she wants you to learn. She answered all the questions I asked. All-around great place for elderly folks who need extra care—or even simply want a more social life. They offer assisted living and memory care in two separate but connected/integrated facilities. They have somewhere between a 1:4 and 1:8 caretaker-to-patient ratio as explained on their tour, and the employees all seem genuinely interested in their jobs and invested in the residents. The place is very new though, so maybe the jaded outlooks haven't set in yet 😜 Hopefully it stays like this consistently, though! Plus, the interior decor is very nice! Definitely a dignified facility to retire to. Only two things about it that knocked off a star—1) the price is relatively exorbitant and 2) not everything is even included in that price. They do not offer nursing care (so adding an outside provider to your bill will probably double the costs), the spa and salon services are charged by the hour, the phone and internet are not included, and any activity that requires someone to supervise a patient is also charged by the hour. When you're already paying roughly between $4k-12k per month (i.e. cheapest price for single shared room per person in independent living vs. some combination of larger/private accommodations and/or higher degree of care etc.) these little things should be included. But that being said, this is one of the nicest places I've visited in the area. It's no surprise they're nearly at capacity.Avianna

I have been going to this school for more than 2 years now, I will be done with BACHELORS (YAY) next year! It goes by fast! This school has given me so much to be proud of! They have mapped up my every class, clinical, and lab! They are available always when I need help! The instructors are always available to help when you need them and want you to succeed! AZC has some of the best passing rates on the NCLEX because of the way they create their tests here at school is very similar to the NCLEX test itself. Some say that this school doesn't really let you work or have outside life, and that is true. Before you sign up make sure this is your first priority, it is not easy. If you fail a class you have one chance to re-take it and pass it. If you do not, you are out of the school. Failing must not be an option. You have to get at least 77% accumulative on the exams or you fail. There is one nursing math test that requires a 100% or you fail, you have 3 times to take that. With that being said, I have never failed. If you put in the time, the work, ask for help when you need it, the teachers and staff will be here. I am very excited for my future because of this school and have a lot of friends beside me excited as well!Deena Binder

Love this school (Tempe, AZ)! Yes it’s expensive, but it will be worth it. The admissions part was very smooth sailing. The professors here are amazing. The environment is awesome. This school will help you get to where you want to be. If you are having a hard time in any class, there are professors and counselors that will help you. They want to see you succeed. I feel like when I previously went to a community college, all they cared about was if you had a 4.0 or not. Keep in mind in most classes, you do need at least a B in every class to pass, but this school will help you in every way to make that happen. Nursing school is not whatsoever “easy”. It is hard. It like a full time job and it will take up your time. But keep-in mind we are going to be nurses one day, helping save lives. It’s supposed to be hard and difficult. Trust me, if I can do it, you can too!! Highly highly recommend this school. When it comes to the financial aid part, I just wish there were better financial advisors. But if you’ve been to any college you know that its always the most difficult to find a good financial advisor.Cailin Seimears

After attending Arizona College of Las Vegas for about year. I can honestly say the professors do their best to teach especially during the circumstances of Covid. However, I have since then moved out of state and they will not release me my transcripts. It came down to them not doing their job and submitting the forms I signed for financial aid to the government to cover the 2,000 dollars from my last session before I moved. All they had to do was submit the forms on time before the semester ended…Due to this, they are now saying I owe them at least HALF the money before they will even release my transcripts. They are putting my future in jeopardy due to their incompetence. Just beware before attending this school. Don’t say someone didn’t warn you.Julia Cox
