14 Best 2 Year Nursing Programs In Baton Rouge, LA (2022 Updated)

I graduated from here this year my experience was okay overall. i was enrolled in the CAD drafting program, all of my teachers were very knowledgeable and helpful. everyone in my main class got jobs in our career field before we graduated but two of us, who were moving out of state after graduation. Things i didn’t like about ITI were minor. The dress code policy (no shorts & tank tops) The attendance policy is very strict for a college aimed toward working people In their 20’s (4th absent in a 3 month period of the same class you fail) I enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone looking to get into the fields they have availableBrian G

ITI has been not only a wonderful college but also a guidance for what’s expected in the work force. The school an campus is designed to make you feel very comfortable at all times. Instructors are all willing to go above and beyond to make you successful. An my recruiter Melissa helped me from the beginning to the end. Always checking in to be sure I was taken care of. As a professional in the work force I highly look to ITI grads now for future needs with our facility. Two words! “TERRELL STEPTER” has come to ITI & lit a match in student services. He came with an agenda to make us outshine the competition & need I add goes above and beyond his job duties. He offers encouragement, daily feedback, weekly job searches and communication to us. He is beyond dedicated to seeing us achieve what we deserve and accomplish our goals in school. I can personal guaranty this is the very best University. The professors actually really care about the students. There is a low students/faculty ratio which allows for small classes which helps learn the valuable information, which is taught for the preparation of medical school and other programs.Daniel Vicknair

I would like to make it clear that I spoke with the Dean and the President of the students and got the students to sign a petition at fortis college and the President informed me that she has the power to change the way graduation is and she is not going too ! as a student I do not think its fair that we only have ONE commencement ceremony and students start a new term every six weeks i informed the president about the students reaction and suggested 2 ceremonies throughout the year so all students get a decent time to celebrate their accomplishments and she simply did not care also they use term "graduation'' in orientation but its really your "expected finish date" i think fortis has a lot to learn they say they are just like a real college but i think its just for the money bc why would you not want to celebrate your students accomplishments ??Jania Street

FORTIS HVAC COURSE HELPED ME TO START MY CAREER PATH. I’ve since started my own company. The Instructors at fortis are remarkable they take as much time with you as needed and then give more time even outside of school. Mr. Gene, Mr Darren, Mr. Terance, Mr. Crockett, and Mr. Leroy NOW THATS A DREAM TEAM OF INSTRUCTORS!! My MIL has lived at Heritage Manor for the past 2 months. I have been very pleased with the level of care provided. Staff appear to be very responsive to her needs, she is always clean and neat, and they appear to have a real affection for her. For those who are not familiar with William Carey, this is a private Christian School of Nursing. They are based out of Mississippi but have a campus in Baton Rouge. In other schools in the area, the programs take two and a half years. The accelerated nursing program at William Carey can be finished in 18 months for a bachelor's degree, meaning I obtain a higher education level for less time. This is by far the best school I have ever attended. The small classes (30 or so students) make the learning environment one on one. You build relationships with the students and faculty. I know that they are rooting for my success just as much as I am. I am genuinely grateful to attend here.Jacklyn Aiello

I attended Delta College several years ago. My life has changed drastically. I received a great education and have grown from working in convenience stores to a full time Graphic Designer. I went to this School in its rebuilding period and the teachers put everything into what they do. Your success is their success. I was initially going to attend Delgado Community College's program but now that I am in the work field I am glad I didn't. I have worked with several former Delgado students who are not very versatile do to the lack of variations in their clinical sites. At BRG we rotated through at least 10 different types of clinical settings which prepared me to work in different in different entities of radiology.JONES RAPHAEL

I was in and out within 15minutes minutes for a injury to my leg. I was not given the necessary information about my injury, got an ace bandage and was simply told "use it or not". I had an open wound which wasn't cleaned. At the end of the visit after receiving a shot for pain I was given crutches and I was walked out dizzy and nearly falling all the way to the door. No one even offered to assist. I wasn't even given release instructions or any paperwork… I am in awe!!!!!!Ashley Rebelle

My experience with Camelot College has been great so far. I am very grateful for the opportunity to get an education for a rewarding career in the medical field. Pastor Williams and Mr. Simon have been amazing and made sure things ran smoothly. I love how they have everything set up with everyone in mind. The classes are affordable, flexible and small and give you that one on one vibe. They are faith base and family oriented and that is a big plus for me. They make sure you have everything you need to be successful in the online course. You get a laptop and eBook to complete all of the assignments and class participation. Mr. Simon even gave me the information about a grant that I received to help with tuition. I have had a few bumps in the road concerning my family and Pastor Williams and Mr. Simon have made sure to check on us and help me stay on top of my schooling. The encouragement for them for you to be successful is heartfelt and greatly appreciated. Our instructor Ms. Jackson is phenomenal. She has gone above and beyond to make sure we are meeting our goals. She makes sure we are getting the assignments, retaining the information, and understanding what we are learning. She has been compassionate, showed empathy and very helpful across the board. She has shared her experiences about the field and the love for the job and her students. Camelot college staff and teachers were great. Very supportive they take the time out to help you in every which way. They provide you with the laptops to do your work. Your teacher doesn’t move on without helping each student. Making sure you understand the chapter before jumping into another. Helps you with job placement upon graduation. A true blessing! Camelot College has played a vital role with me getting into my career.
